(West Coast Avengers Vol. 3 #4): Yeah, these two are simply the best part of the book. The two Hawkeyes are okay, but they make me feel existential. Again, I only read 60s and 70s Marvel comics. Hawkeye is still young, in my eyes. He's not 30 or 40. That should be more like Iron Man or something. Hawkeye, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were all young kids in my comics. I left off on the avengers with scarlet witch just marrying vision. My view of time for the avengers is almost permanently frozen at that point in time. Seeing hawkeye treated like an older man...idk, it just feels wrong. My brain is not good with change, and change sort of sends my brain a short circuit in the frequency.

So, the Hawkeyes are good but they make me feel things I don't want to feel. And America Chavez is a bit dull. But Gwen and Quentin are both so fun, they sort of fix everything else. A telekinetic and a girl from the real world. They despise each other but they might also have crushes on each other. They're very much channeling odd couple vibes, and I am growing to appreciate it. Angry, bitter british punk and overly positive and excitable girl from our earth... weird combo, but I like it. I'll admit: I've probably got more in common with Quentin, temperament wise. But I like both characters.

no because he's literally SO powerful and you can tell by how he has to get written out in the movies bc otherwise conflicts would be solved way too fast (PUN NOT INTENDED OMG?!!)

saw a youtube comment talking about how Peter’s powers are more than mere superspeed—how he can essentially manipulate gravity and inertia and that’s why when he throws people out of the mansion they don’t die, and why he can listen to music super fast. Everything within his bubble operates under his power’s rules, basically, and that’s also why he can make it so that he can stand still (not running) while everyone else moves in slow motion. And then someone responded by saying that that would make a ton of sense because of who his father is since gravity manipulation is a lot closer to electromagnetic field manipulation than superspeed is, and I’d never thought of it that way but MY HEART
