————————————————————————-
Being autistic has drawbacks for a normal person, but for an actress in Marvel movies, it was tough. I’m proud of who I am but I didn’t want the pitying looks, the comments or being stuck as only getting the “autistic” role so for my own sake, I’m not super open about it.
My parents are ashamed of it so they never told anyone and I was forced to mask anytime I was around anyone. Not even Scar knew, and she was my best friend, almost a mother figure to me. I didn’t want her to think any different of me. She’s known me since i was 7 and played her on screen adopted daughter in Iron Man 2.
We’re filming Endgame right now. I’m on my way to set with Scarlett. Today has been a rough day for me so far as my parents woke me up by screaming at me which then caused me to struggle in keeping my mask up. Scar picked me up and I’m already exhausted, I’ve caught myself stimming a few times and quickly stopped it.
When we pulled into the parking lot, i grabbed my bag and walked with her through set to our trailers where we left our stuff and we’re immediately shuffled to makeup and costumes.
“Oh shit…” I mutter staring at the costume in Erica’s hand. “I didn’t realize it was a fight scene today…”
“Babe.” Erica, my assistant and on set guardian says. She’s known about me since the first day which was when i was 7. “You’ve known about this for a week. Are you okay?”
“I’m super over stimulated right now…” I murmur tapping my leg in sets of 7, a common stim for me.
“Let’s do hair and makeup first okay? Keep you out of the costume until the last second okay?” I nod and the two of us move to hair and makeup where Scarlett is getting her hair done.
“Hey, where’s your costume kid?” She asks looking over at me.
“I uh-“ I glance at Erica who steps in for me quickly.
“It had a small tear in it so it’s getting fixed quickly.” Scarlet merely hums in response and I sit. Getting my wig on and makeup done is awful, having everyone touching me and all their voices so close to me ears. I feel a soft hand on my cheek and peek my eyes open to see Scar staring at me in concern.
“Stop grinding your jaw babe…” I release my jaw, not even realizing i had been doing it. “You okay love? You disappeared for a bit there.” I respond with a hum, my voice disappearing from within. “Let’s get your costume on and to set okay?”
I look around quickly and don’t see Erica, Scarlet must see the panic as she quickly says. “She got called away in an emergency. I’m going to be your guardian today.” I nod, feeling the panic bubble up in my chest, but give her a soft smile.
The two of us make our way to my trailer and she helps me quickly slip into the suit. I immediately want to rip it off as it’s skin tight and an uncomfortable material. It feels like it’s digging into my skin and pulling it away as if it’s velcro and my skin is the other side. I take a deep breath and come out to see Scar in costume waiting. “Ready?” I nod and we head to set where I realize it’s a busy day, all original 6 avengers, Lizzie, both Paul’s, Gwen and Cobie are all there. I internally groan as immediately, the girls are coming over to me and Scar talking a mile a minute. I stand next to Scarlett silently until Lizzie turns to me. “Hey kiddo. Ready to fight? We have to fly today.” My eyes widen for a moment before i force a smile and nod at the fake red head in front of me.
“What? Cat got your tongue?” This makes everyone around us laugh but it makes me feel awful. I have no voice, it comes and goes, when it’s gone, my parents ridicule me, I get hit. I look down as i feel my tears well up in my eyes and blink rapidly trying to will them away. I thank god silently when Joe calls us to places which means i get away from the now very suddenly concerned looking Scarlett, Lizzie and Cobie. I’m stuck with Renner as I get rigged up, the feeling of being sick suddenly appearing as more people touch me.
I feel the lump in my throat tighten and the feeling of the harness wrapped around me suddenly makes me feel like it’s constricting my breathing and everyone around me disappeared as my hands flung to the harness, in my panic my hands struggled with the buckle which just made me more infuriated and grunts started coming out as my tears blurred my vision.
I feel a set of hands on mine holding them down, i scream and rip mine away and start scratching at my throat trying to rip it open to get a breath. My eyes started blacking out and the last thing i see is Scarlett’s panicked face as she tries to grab at my hands before it all goes black.
Scarlett’s POV
I know something is off with y/n. Not off but just that she was different. I have had a feeling it was autism for a while now, today proved that to me.
She was silent the whole car ride to set, normally she’d be singing along the radio but she wouldn’t even let me turn it on today. As soon as we got to set she locked herself in her trailer without a word, the next time i saw her, she looked panicked and while she was getting her hair and makeup done she disappeared fully before i brought her back. She has days where she goes mute, she just calls them her bad days, they usually happen on days she has arguments with her parents but normally she can still communicate to me in different ways but today she was completely gone. It got worse as soon as she realized Erica was gone. Walking on to set, she tended up and i saw her tapping her thigh every once in a while. The comment that Lizzie made would normally make her laugh, her reaction today was off.
I watched her from the corner of my eye but had to look away for a second before i heard Renner.
“Y/N!! What are you doing?! You’re going to hurt yourself!” I whip my head around and my heart sinks as i see y/n struggling with her harness, her hands are shaking violently, tears streaming down her face, her eyes are glazed over. I bolt over and grab her hands gently.
“Y/n baby, stop. You’ve got to stop my love.” She rips her hands out of mine and starts clawing at her throat which is when i notice she’s not breathing properly. She’s barely able to get a small breath. Instincts kick in for me and i turn to the cast and crew crowding her. “Give her space. Now. I need someone to set up a dark room with minimal sound and her clothes she was wearing this morning as well as the blanket from my trailer. A cold cloth and her wig taken off.” I turn around as she starts to collapse, i grab her arm and quickly wrap an arm around her waist. “Now!”
It’s a bit of a blur after that honestly, the next thing i know, im alone with her in the green room after everything is unplugged and blankets are draped over the windows. Her wig is already off and someone hands me my blanket and her clothes before silently leaving. I help her unconscious body out of the suit and into her clothes before draping my weighted blanket over her body. I sit back and stare at her, not touching her at all but close enough if she needs me.
It felt like hours but looking at my watch, it shows it’s only been 20 minutes when she finally wakes up.
My heart is beating what feels like a million mile a minute with panic as i watch her blue eyes flutter open before she looks around the room for a moment. Her hand comes out of the blanket and she starts tapping her thigh again, her head nodding along to each tap. She squeezes her eyes shut and i can hear her voice mumbling. “I’m safe. I’m here. I’m y/n.” Over and over again, i quietly cough to get her attention and she quickly sits up and her head whips up to look at me with wide eyes, both hands start scratching at the other wrist. “Oh my god…”
“Baby, you are safe. It’s just me.”
“No… no… no no no no no no no no.” She started tugging her hair and rocking slightly. “They’re going to kill me… you aren’t supposed to know…”
I quickly scoot over and grab her hands before pulling her into my chest, she tenses for a moment before melting into my arms. “I can’t hide it anymore Scar…”
“I know baby… I know.” I mutter into her hair swaying us back and forth slightly.
“I’m autistic…”
“Oh baby i know…” She freezes and looks at me with wide eyes. I can ready the fear in her blue eyes. “You hide it really really well but I’m basically your mom my love. I had suspicions but didn’t want to push you into telling me. Today was too much.” She nods burying herself back into me. “I need you to know that I will always listen to you. That if you ever feel like that again, you can tell me and i’ll get you out of it. Baby seeing you pass out was terrifying. I need you to know that if you’re that overwhelmed, that you do not have to do all that.”
“But… my parents don’t want everyone knowing… they’re all gonna know now…” She mumbles into me, my heart cracks.
“Baby being autistic is not a bad thing. It makes you even more amazing. It’s not something to be ashamed of at all. You are allowed to be who you are. To stim when your emotions are too high. To have bad days. I am here to show you that.” I say looking her directly into her eyes. “I’m here to support you.”
Tears welled up in her eyes as she nodded quickly. She sat up and started tapping her thigh as she stared at me. “This is my favourite stim, it’s really subtle but it calms me down… i count the most important people in my life.” She then looks down at her hand as she taps each finger. “Scarlett.” Tap. “Lizzie.” Tap. “Renner.” Tap. “Gwen.” Tap. “Cobie.” Tap. “Rob.” Tap. “Rosie.” Tap. “It reminds me that you guys would love me, no matter how broken or weird i am because i know how much you care.” She looked up at me through her eyelashes. “Another one is tapping here.” She taps her chest right above her heart twice. “Right here.” She does the tap to each word. “This is where you sit in my body. I usually only do this one when I’m not wearing my necklace. Playing with that is the stim i can do out in public.” I pulled her into my arms again as I cried.
“Oh baby…”
“You’ve always been my safe space Scar…”
“And i will be your safe space for the rest of eternity.”
We sit in silence for a few minutes before she pulls away with a smile. “Thank you. For learning how to help me.”
“You are more than welcome my love. Let’s go home and have a calm day okay?” She nods before standing up, pulling my weighted blanket over herself. I stand and wrapping my arms around her waist, the two of us make our way out of the room to find Lizzie standing not too far away, crying into Gwyneths arms. Y/n instantly runs over to her and wraps her arms around the crying woman. Lizzie jumps before she turns and sees who it is and wraps the girl into her arms.
“I’m so sorry bug. I shouldn’t have made that comment. I know how bad your parents are.” Y/n shakes her head pulling back and squeezes Lizzie’s hands. “Liz that wasn’t what caused that.” She takes a glance back at me before taking a deep breath and looks back at Lizzie. “I’m autistic and I was overstimulated and everything was just too much. I won’t lie, the comment did hurt a little but i know you didn’t say it in a mean way. You didn’t hurt me, memories of my parents saying stuff hurt me. But not you.” Lizzie’s eyes widen and she glances at me before she nods breathing to calm herself down. “If you ever need to talk or are struggling you can talk to me bug.”
Y/n nods with a small smile. “I know Liz.”
“Hey. Me too.” We all turn our head to see Gwyneth with a pout on her face. “You scared the shit out of me kiddo. Never do that again. Understand?” She pulls y/n’s laughing form into her arms.
“I understand mother Paltrow.” She says making us all chuckle.
Y/n pulls away and biting her cheek looks at me. “I- i uh- I’m not ready to face everyone else yet…”
“They already left bug. It’s just us four left.” Lizzie said smoothing the crazy hair down on y/n’s head. “I couldn’t leave worried i hurt you and Gwyn couldn’t leave me alone but everyone else left to give you privacy. Scarlett went full mama bear mode and screamed at some people for trying to push her into anything. It was great.” Y/n chuckled, which brings a grin to my face.
“Of course you did. But i wouldn’t trade you for the world.”
“I love you too baby.” I say kissing her head softly.

Y/N: Can I have a piece of cake from the fridge?
Yelena: What’s the rule?
Y/N, sighing: No cake after dinner.
Yelena: No, that’s Nat’s rule. My rule is that you need to bring me a slice as well.

Double the trouble au: part 1, part 2
Summary: Natasha and Wanda’s teenage twin daughters are a lot to handle, but despite their differences and arguments, there’s nothing they wouldn’t do for each other
Warnings: none
Pairings: WandaNat
wc: 3.9k
note: my first time putting a one shot on tumblr. Here goes nothing
— ⧗ —
"Y/N! Mom told me to come wake you. You're gonna be late." Isla stood at the door, her arms folded with a cocky smirk plastered on her face.
Y/N groaned and turned over in her bed, flinging an arm over her face as she squinted into the light to see who was speaking. The familiar outline of her twin sister came into view and she rolled back over.
"Y/N. Get up. Or don't. It's not my fault if you're late." And with that, the girl was gone, the door swinging shut as a cloud of floral perfume was all that was left in her place.
"Good morning to you too." Y/N muttered under her breath as she pulled her phone off charge and checked the time. Her stomach dropped as 7:19 flashed up on her screen. School started at 8:00. They left at 7:45. She did not have long at all.
"Isla I'm gonna kill you!" The distressed teenager screamed out, running over to her closet to pull out the first half decent outfit she could find. Any feeling of tiredness evaporated from her body as she got dressed, which was probably the only positive to come out of this morning.
A knock sounded on her bedroom door as she pulled her shirt over her head. Wanda's head popped around before she saw it was safe for her to enter. She watched her daughter getting frustrated over her hair for a moment before walking over with a plate of freshly made toast and fruit. There wasn't much time to eat it but Wanda was the kind of mother who made sure all of her girls were fed. Even when Nat was feeling stubborn.
"Good morning sweetheart. I brought breakfast." It was an obvious thing to send but Y/N smiled gratefully at her in the mirror for a split second before a large tangle in her hair caused her to wince.
"Thanks Mom."
"Do you want me to send Mama up to help with your hair?" As a typical mom, Wanda collected a few spare cups from her daughter's desk and stacked them in her hand. Y/N attacked her hair with her hairbrush before setting it down on the table with a thud.
"No! I'm not 4! I can do my own hair!" She exclaimed. She didn't normally talk to Wanda that way, but the stress of being late was taking its toll so Wanda didn't take offence.
"Okay. Well, you've got 15 minutes."
Y/N groaned loudly and started on her make up, having given up on her hair. A ponytail would suffice for today. She did not have the patience.
"Isla, you know you can't leave without your sister. So I don't know what trick you're playing on her, but if she's late then you're late." Wanda went into stern mother mode as she entered the kitchen, where her eldest (by 11 minutes) was sat at the table drinking her breakfast smoothie.
The teenager looked up in offence at her mother, who just shot her a warning look. "I didn-" She was cut off by another glare from Wanda.
The mother tapped the side of her head. "Mind reader. Remember?"
"What's this about mind reading?" Nat questioned as she walked into the kitchen, going straight over to her wife to wrap her in a hug and a kiss. Isla turned back to her phone and the women looked over at their daughter. "And where's Y/N?"
"Well, someone turned her sister's alarm off so she's currently rushing around upstairs."
Nat sent her famous disappointed look to Isla, who cowered slightly. Wanda was easy to get around, often being far too soft with her girls. Natasha was the tough parent, but she still cared. Being a dance teacher and studio owner meant she was an expert in tough love. "Isla... why?"
The teenager shrugged. "I don't know. I just thought it was funny. I was gonna wake her up but I lost track of time." She pulled a lock of perfectly curled hair out of her face and Nat knew what had made her 'lose track of time'.
"You don't do that again, okay?" Isla nodded, not wanting to start an argument before 8am. She wasn't a bad person, but her ideas of teasing her sister and playing jokes weren't exactly the best.
"Hey my love," Wanda hummed as Nat passed her again with a kiss. "Can you go see if Y/N needs any help? She might benefit from your braiding skills today, even though she was okay."
Natasha smiled, nodding. She loved braiding her daughters' hair. Even at 17, when the twins claimed they were too old for it, they secretly loved Nat's braids. Especially Y/N, who found her mom doing her hair at lot during dance show season.
There was just over 5 minutes before they needed to leave so Nat tentatively entered Y/N's room, observing the girl before talking. The teenager was threading her earrings into her ears, the rest of her jewellery already in place. Make up was scattered across the desk and her hairbrush was on the other side of the room. Her hair hung down her back in a dark red curtain, the ends curling naturally slightly. It looked smooth but wasn't styled, and Nat smiled.
"Hey sweet girl. Can I help?" She sat on Y/N's bed slightly, picking up the backpack by the floor and slotting her daughter's laptop and charger into the right compartment. She didn't snoop around, but instead put it back on the floor by her feet.
"I just need to finish my make up. How long do I have?" Y/N took a bite of toast as Nat checked her watch.
"5 minutes. Do you want braids? I can do them in 2 minutes. And I won't be in your way." Y/N was hesitant as she applied her concealer, frantically blending it in. Wasn't her neatest job but she still wanted to be presentable.
"Okay but please make it quick."
Nat sprung into action, gathering up a small section of hair to begin braiding. The two worked in silence, with there being no time to walk. As Nat tied off the first braid, Y/N leaned forwards to curl her lashes before Nat started again on the other side. The braids were only small, taking the front sections of Y/N's hair to keep them out of her face during the day.
Being a dancer, she kept her hair long but there was so much of it that it got in the way a lot. So she rarely had it fully down, either claw clips or braids holding back. Isla rarely wore braids, wanting to differentiate herself from her sister at school. They got mixed up enough as it was.
"Okay. All done." Nat stepped back as Y/N applied her final coat of lipgloss. She smiled as she saw the braids but didn't have time to admire them before a jangle of keys was heard and a voice yelled up the stairs.
"Y/N! Let's go!"
"Always so polite." Nat said sarcastically with a smile to Y/N. She handed her daughter her backpack and gave her a quick hug before the girl rushed out of the room, Nat following behind more calmly.
"Love you Mama! Love you Mom!" Y/N shouted over her shoulder, running out of the house with a slice of her toast in her hand.
"Have a great day girls." The women called out, watching the car pull away from the driveway. Isla got her permit before Y/N so she was the designated taxi girl in the family now. Y/N hated it, but driving wasn't her strongest suit so she stuck out the irritating chatter of her sister until she was finally ready for her own permit.
"Everyday I'm still surprised at how similar yet so different they are." Wanda commented, her hands wrapped round her mug of tea. Nat mirrored her from her side, her mug containing coffee instead.
"They look like a carbon copy of each other and yet sometimes I feel it's like they're from different planets." This made Wanda laugh slightly, her breathy giggle never failing to put a smile on her wife's face.
"I mean, you wouldn't find Isla in a dance studio anymore. But then Y/N practically lives there. And you wouldn't find her on the athletics track either, unlike Isla. We must have done something right... right?"
Nat sidled up to her wife and wrapped her arms around her waist, mug now abandoned on the counter. "You, my dear, are the best mom those girls could ask for." She looked into the green eyes she knew far too well before pressing a kiss to the lips she had memorised and could draw in her sleep. "We've done everything we can do for them. And our girls are the toughest girls in the world."
"And they're ours."
"Our little babies." Nat said with a soft smile, her head leaning down to rest on Wanda's shoulder.
"Don't let Y/N hear you saying that. She was snappy about me thinking she was 4 earlier."
"That girl is a whirlwind. She's as wild as her hair sometimes." Wanda reached up and pushed a lock of Nat's red hair behind her ear, admiring the colour which matched the twins' almost perfectly.
"And I know just where she gets it from." The Sokovian said with a smile before kissing her wife. Nat tried to deepen it now it was just them, but Wanda pulled back. "I have work to do. As much as I'd love to stay here with you all day, those emails won't answer themselves." She left the room with an aura of grace surrounding her and Nat found herself staring at the door way long after she was gone.
— ⧗ —
The day went by quite fast. Wanda worked in her office until 4pm, whilst Nat left for her studio at 1pm to start preparing that evening's classes. Competition season was a stressful time but she handled herself well, staying on top of what she needed and when.
The final bell rang and the corridors were soon filled with hoards of teenagers, everyone racing to get home as quickly as possible. Y/N and Isla stopped by their lockers, chatting with friends as they exchanged the textbooks needed for tonight's homework.
Despite their quarrels and petty arguments, the twins shared the same group of friends at school. They were known by everyone, but Bucky, Maria, Clint, Kate and Steve made up their main group. They were pretty popular, partly due to the fact that there wasn't a single person who disliked their moms. Nat and Wanda were the favourite parents which somehow elevated the girls' social status in school. Maybe it was also because of the parties they were allowed to host.
Natasha and Wanda's main focus was to give their girls as normal of a life as they possible could. Which meant letting them live like teenagers. Going to football games, school dances, hosting house parties, trips to the mall with friends. Anything that normal teenagers did was allowed. Alcohol was monitored and smoking and drugs was a strict no. But the twins followed the rules, knowing they were a lot luckier than most.
"Shit. Mom needs me in the studio." Y/N read aloud as her locker slammed shut. Isla peered down at her sister's phone and sighed.
"Y/N I've got track practice in 15 minutes. I can't get you there and back in time." Her sports bag hung off her shoulder and she watched her sister grab the emergency dance bag from her locker that she kept purely for times like this. "Well, I suppo-"
"I can take you" Bucky spoke. He was leaning with his back against the lockers like he usually did, watching Y/N with a soft smile.
"No I-" Isla started to protest but stopped herself. She knew how much Bucky was crushing on her sister and she was in full support. "Actually, Bucky, that would be amazing." Everyone else was aware of his crush, all except Y/N. She was completely oblivious, which obviously Isla took full advantage of and teased her about it almost on a daily basis.
"Do you know where it is?" Y/N asked casually. She had been crouched down by her bags to swap her stuff over and so had missed the looks and glances that everyone shared as Bucky offered. So as she stood back up everyone was smiling wide which confused her. "What?"
"Yeah my little sister does ballet on saturdays there and I pick her up sometimes." Bucky had already fished his car keys out and was tossing them in his hand.
Y/N noticed her sister's smirk out of the corner of her eye as they all walked to the exit of the school. "Isla, what is it?"
"Nothing. You guys have fun. But not too much fun." And with a wink, she turned towards the track and ran off to join her friends who were already on their way over in the distance. Everyone else said goodbye and went their separate ways for the night, leaving Bucky and Y/N by his car.
Y/N was definitely the kindest out of the twins, so she could easily make conversation with anyone. She didn't think anything special of the car ride to her mom's studio, except maybe that Bucky was really nice to offer her a ride. It was only a 10 minute drive but she was still so grateful.
"Thanks a lot for this, by the way." Y/N said as she stared out of the window. She knew this route like the back of her hand but something about the sun shining through the trees made it extra special today.
Bucky shook his head. "It's no problem. Always happy to help."
Y/N looked over and smiled at him. "You're a really good friend. I'm glad I've got you."
Bucky's smile slipped but he fixed it quickly as they came to a red light. Once again he was pushed back into the friend zone, but it was his fault for not making his feelings known. As he looked over at her, the sun catching her red hair, making it look like fire, her body swaying slightly to the music of "You Make Loving Fun", he realised just how much he liked her. But Y/N was sweet to everyone, so it held him back. Maybe she didn't see him the way he saw her. Or maybe she liked someone else.
His thoughts had distracted him and the lights turned green, earning a soft poke in the arm from Y/N who gestured to the lights.
They both hummed along to the music and chatted the rest of the way, Y/N sending her mom a quick text as they caught the rush hour traffic.
"You really are amazing for doing this. I'll pay you back at some point, I promise!" Y/N gratefully thanked him as she grabbed her bags to climb out of the car. Bucky offered to get out and help but Y/N's stubborn nature refused any help.
"Don't worry about it. Enjoy yourself. You're an amazing dancer!" He leaned out of the window and waved as he drove off, sending a blush creeping across Y/N's face.
Maybe the feelings were reciprocated. Just a little...
"Hey angel," Nat called out as Y/N walked through the main entrance doors.
"Hi Mama."
"Who was that outside?" Nat asked after Y/N said hi to the receptionist. She made her way over to her mother, who was stood by the door to the main studio and cafe.
"Oh, Bucky gave me a lift here. Isla had track so she couldn't get back in time." Nat couldn't help the smirk that crept onto her face, identical to the one Isla wore just before they left school.
"Oh so that's Bucky? Nice." She turned around and walked down the hall, leaving Y/N to chase after her.
"What's that supposed to mean?" The teenager called out, but Nat just shrugged and checked the windows outside studio 1b. "Mama. Please tell me. Isla had the same smirk. I'm not stupid so just tell me what's going on."
Y/N's huff and pout made Nat 'aw' and she pinched her daughter's cheek before her hand was quickly slapped away. "Nothing baby. I just expected to see Isla, that's all. Not Bucky."
Y/N folded her arms over her chest, careful not to let her backpack or sports bag slip off her shoulders. "I don't believe you."
Nat patted her on the head and unlocked the door to the studio. "Okay. Now come on. I want to work on your solo. We have that turns section to sort out so hurry up and get changed."
Y/N groaned and dropped her back off her shoulder, where it landed with a muffled thud ad her feet. "Mom give me a minute. I just got here."
"I have no minutes to give. It's comp season, you know that Y/N/N. No time to waste." Nat was already over in the speaker corner, connecting her laptop up so it was ready. "Why are you still standing there?"
"Can I just have 2 minutes to breathe?"
Natasha turned around and placed her hands on her hips, mirroring her daughter perfectly. "Do you want Yelena to take your private instead? She's free right now actually. I could be teaching junior tap instead."
Y/N's eyes went wide and she quickly grabbed her discarded bag. "No no! I'll hurry. I'll change and be back! Please don't sent Yelena in here!"
"Good. And I won't. She's taking your class for ballet later anyway. So you have that to enjoy."
The teenager was halfway to the changing room before she stopped dead in her tracks. That was her worst nightmare. "Mama! She's gonna be all 'Those feet are horrible. Point them. Why do your hands look like claws. Are you a crab? Are we doing Little Mermaid dance? Your posture is like potato couch. Why are none of you flexible?'" Her Russian accent sounded nothing like her aunt, which made Nat raise an eyebrow. She'd taught her daughters better than that. Or so she thought.
"Potato couch?"
"I think she meant couch potato. But yeah she said that to Becca last week. It helped though. Her posture was better last night."
"Then she's a good teacher." Such a know it all.  "Do you stretch every night?"
Y/N went to answer and Nat gave her a knowing look. "Well, not every night."
"Then everything Yelena says is true. So don't complain. She tells me everything."
"I don't see how you guys are sisters. You're so different. She makes you seem almost angelic." Y/N fiddled with the lock on the changing room door.
"Exactly what your mom and I say about you and Isla. Now stop being cheeky and go get changed. And I want the hi-cut black leotard because we're working on legs today. Oh, and Y/N, bring your half soles because I don't want to completely destroy your feet before the rest of your classes." Natasha was bossy but it's what made her one of the best teachers around. She knew what she wanted and what it took to get there. She could recognise the potential in her dancers but would only work with those who put the work in themselves.
There was something so special about working with your daughter. Nat loved it, even if she didn't get to do privates like this much. Yes, she went into dance teacher mode and Y/N was no exception, but the pride she felt when she watched her daughter dance was something she didn't feel as much with the other dancers. Just like when she watched Isla win her races, seeing Y/N dance made her heart swell so much it felt as though it would burst.
10 minutes later and Y/N emerged from the changing room, a hair tie between her teeth as she pulled her hair up into a ponytail. Nat wasn't strict on hair with privates, only with normal class. So she just put on some calming music and started stretching with her daughter. Yes, it was weird seeing her mom effortlessly do the splits, but Y/N was used to it by now.
They gossiped the whole time, Y/N filling her in on any school drama that was of interest. As Y/N moved to the bar to stretch her leg holds, Nat couldn't hold back her questions anymore.
"What's going on with you and Bucky?" Nat asked and then burst out laughing as she turned to face her daughter. Y/N had her right leg pulled up to her head, but the most confused and shocked expression on her face. It truly was a hilarious sight.
"Uh- nothing? But I feel like you know something I don't? That's the second time you've asked me today."
Nat shrugged. "Well, he gave you a lift. I'm just curious."
"Well there's nothing to be curious about." She switched legs as she was talking. "He's just a friend. You know that. We've literally been friends since middle school!"
"Okay. I'll just ask Isla then." Nat smirked and walked over to her laptop.
"Mama, she will just tell you the same! And if she doesn't then she's just causing drama. Or making my life a living hell."
"She's your sister. That's what she's supposed to do. You do the exact same to her, even if you don't think so." Y/N rolled her eyes, moving to the centre of the room. "Okay, let's run it. You ready?"
"Is that why you and Aunt Yelena can't direct the same dance show? Because you argue?" Y/N smirked as her mom shook her head. "I'm right aren't I?"
"No you're not. And she's Miss Yelena to you. Just like I'm Miss Natasha. Now, dance."
"Yes Mama." Y/N wore a shit eating grin as she moved to her starting position, trying to get into the character of her dance so she didn't burst out laughing.
She was grateful for the relationship she had with both her moms and family meant the most to her. Even Isla had a special place in her heart, despite their quarrels and petty arguments. Those sisters would do anything for each other if it came down to it. Which was surprising to everyone except Wanda and Natasha. They saw the sisterly bond like no one else did. It was unbreakable.

Could i asked for a ScarLizzie x daughter reader fic please?
Lizzie is finally introducing R to her girlfriend Scarlett for the first time. (Hectic filming schedules have gotten in the way of the three meeting up)
R is deaf and Scarlett has been learning sign language in secret and both mother and daughter are delighted.
Scarlett soon becomes R's favourite person (other than her mummy of course). "You're nicer than daddy".
Or something like that
Please and thank you 😊

Y/N: 7 years old ——————————————————
NO ONE'S POV The day has finally come. Lizzie's introducing her girlfriend to her little daughter.
Scarlett and Lizzie have been dating for nearly a year now. Lizzie wanted to be sure with her relationship before she would introduce Scarlett to her daughter and when she finally decided it's time, her hectic filming schedule just didn't allow it.
But it's here now and Y/N's going to meet the woman that won her mother's heart. Y/N's been super excited to meet her mommy's girlfriend. She knows a lot about Scarlett from Lizzie, even saw some pictures of her and it's finally about to happen.
One thing leaves Scarlett nervous though… Y/N doesn't hear. Ever since Lizzie told her she's been learning sign language. And to be honest, she's doing quite well, yet she's still a little nervous about it.
Y/N's currently in the living room, playing with her toys while Lizzie's finishing cooking dinner. Hearing the doorbell Lizzie goes to open, smiling at the sight of her daughter while walking around her.
Lizzie greets her girlfriend with a hug and a kiss before she leads her to the living room where the little troublemaker is.
As soon as Y/N notices a movement in the living room, she lifts her eyes from the ground, locking them with her mommy's girlfriend's.
Before Lizzie can start signing her daughter anything, Scarlett stops her.
"I'll do it" Scarlett smiles, taking a deep breath before looking at the tiny girl in front of her. "Hi, Y/N. I'm Scarlett. It's so nice to meet you" Scarlett signs, Y/N immediately smiling widely.
Y/N signs 'nice to meet you too' back, making Scarlett smile even more while Lizzie is completely shocked.
"Since when you know ASL?" Lizzie asks confused.
"I started learning when you told me about Y/N" Scarlett smiles and just this gesture makes Lizzie fall in love with the blonde even more.
Everything goes great, the three have dinner together, Y/N and Scarlett always smiling at each other when they lock eyes.
———
Scarlett has surely become Y/N's favorite person, beside her mommy of course, and even best friends over the time Scarlett's been coming over every now and then.
The little Olsen is one hundred percent sure that Scarlett is the best one for her mommy and that made Lizzie really happy when Y/N admitted it a few days ago.
Scarlett's over right now, watching Y/N and playing with her as Lizzie needed to leave to buy some groceries as the fridge is completely empty.
Somehow Y/N ends up sitting on Scarlett's lap while playing which the blonde doesn't mind at all. She loves Y/N as her own already and the fact that Y/N feels comfortable around her makes her happy.
All of a sudden Y/N looks up at the older woman, giving her an adorable smile which Scarlett returns.
"You're nicer than daddy" Y/N signs, warming Scarlett's heart while tears fill her eyes.
Y/N's father isn't the best, but also isn't the worst. He stops by every now and then to check up on his daughter, yet Y/N isn't as comfortable around him as she is around Scarlett.
Scarlett can't help but just pull the tiny girl in for a hug, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. And once they pull away, she signs her response. "You're the sweetest little girl I've ever met. I love you, Y/N"
And she means every single word. Y/N really has a special place in her heart by now, just like Scarlett does in Y/N's.
"I love you too" Y/N smiles adorably, melting Scarlett's heart even more.
What they don't know is that Lizzie's already standing at the doorframe. She's seen the whole interaction and she couldn't be more happy.
Both girls notice when Lizzie approaches them, taking a seat next to them.
"I love you both so much" Lizzie smiles, saying it out loud while signing and making both of her girls smile widely before Y/N practically jumps into her mommy's arms to give her a cuddle and show her how much she loves her.
It's safe to say that Y/N's absolutely thrilled about her mommy having such an amazing girlfriend who's so far the best friend she's ever had, except for her mommy of course.
They surely have a bright time ahead of them and all three are more than excited to see what the future holds for them.

who you are is not where you've been

Summary: After a triggering nightmare about R’s past, her mothers comfort her.
Contents: hurt/comfort, dark nightmare, talk of kidnapping, angst, fluff, Nat and Maria being amazing adopted mothers
From this request.
the title is a reference to taylor swift's innocent
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You raced after your target as fast as your feet would carry you. The young girl reminded you of yourself when you’d first been brought to Hydra. She fought hard and was determined to get away from you, but it wasn’t long before you’d cornered her in an alleyway with a dead end.
Her cries for help made your ears ring, and you would have given anything for her to just shut up. You could feel guilt weighing heavily on your chest. It was crushing. You were about to confine this little girl to a life of misery, just like your own.
Your body felt like it was on fire, every instinct you had was telling you to turn around and leave her there, to let her go, but you didn’t. You couldn’t. You pointed your gun at her as you dialed a number on a burner phone, giving the person on the other end your location.
The poor girl cried with all her might, tears streaming down her face. You felt like you were going to be sick. You wished she’d been able to get away from you somehow.
She shrank back until she was against the fence behind her just when you felt a hand on your arm. You kept the gun pointed at her steadily as you took a quick glance over your shoulder.
“You’ve done it again, great work.”
You woke from your nap with a start when you heard a beeping sound. Your chest was heaving. You looked around to check your surroundings and your breath started to even out upon realizing you were safe on the living room couch and your moms were in the kitchen making dinner. The microwave had just gone off.
“Hey, sleepyhead,” Natasha came over when she saw that you’d sat up and were awake, running her fingers through your hair tenderly. “You knocked out at the end of the movie. How was your nap?”
“It was okay,” you nodded, avoiding her gaze. “I’m going to wash up before we eat.”
You needed to clear your head before you sat with them for dinner. There was no way they wouldn’t be able to tell something was up and the last thing you wanted to do was to put your problems on them.
Upon locking the door to the bathroom, your eyes began to tear up. You groaned quietly and pressed the heels of your hands to your shut eyes, willing yourself not to cry. You did your best to steady your breathing and stay quiet, but it wasn’t long before you were choking back sobs while sitting on the cold tile floor.
Your dreams were often plagued by the haunting memories of your past, being controlled by Hydra since your early childhood. You were horrified by what you were capable of. It pained you to think that you had subjected kids to being tormented and ruined their lives. They hadn’t done anything to deserve that. And it was often difficult to convince yourself that you deserved to live in the loving household that you now did, because how could you when many of the kids you’d been assigned to capture probably still worked for Hydra?
Your eyes shot open when you heard a quiet knock on the door. You bit down on one of your knuckles, trying to stifle the sob threatening to leave your throat.
“You alright, kiddo?” Maria’s voice sounded.
You didn’t say anything out of fear of embarrassing yourself, afraid of whatever noise would come out.
“Can I come in?”
She took the sound of the door unlocking as a ‘yes’ and opened it slowly, sitting down beside you.
“What’s wrong, hm?” she murmured, putting her strong arm around your shoulders.
You turned into her embrace, wrapping your arms around her waist as tightly as you could while your body racked with sobs.
Maria held you close and pressed a kiss to the top of your head, “I’m right here, sweetheart.”
Natasha’s footsteps went unheard but she made herself known when she put a gentle hand on your back, doing her best to help soothe you.
Your tears fell freely, but the presence of your mothers was beginning to make you feel better. You were getting ahold of your breathing, matching yours to Maria’s.
Once you were calmer, you moved yourself to sit up with your back to the wall and Natasha was now in front of you, tutting when she saw your tear-stained face and your nose red from crying, “What’s got you so upset, honey?” she asked as she leaned forward to wipe your tears away with her thumbs.
You took a couple of breaths before attempting to respond to her, and while you did so, you realized not many people would be able to understand your feelings the way she might.
“How did… how did you forgive yourself?” Your voice broke as you spoke, fresh tears beginning to fall. “After everything I’ve done,” you shook your head. “I don’t deserve - I can’t - I’m a monster -”
“No, hey,” Natasha took your hand in hers before speaking softly, “You’re working yourself up again. Please don’t talk like that.”
You put your head down and pinched the bridge of your nose as Natasha sat in shock for a couple of seconds, surprised by your question.
It wasn’t often that the Black Widow cried, but as she saw you in your distress, reminding her so much of herself, she couldn’t help it when her eyes started watering.
She looked to her wife for a moment, and when their eyes met, it was clear they were thinking the same thing. Maria could not count the number of times she’d heard Natasha describe herself as a monster.
There were many nights Maria had held Natasha as she cried, feeling like she could never make up for everything she had done. She still felt that way sometimes. Like nothing could be enough for all the lives she’d taken or destroyed.
But you? You might be enough. Natasha felt more sure of that every day. The love she had for you consumed her. It came with an innate need to protect you. Getting to love you felt like healing from her past, something she once never thought she’d feel.
You had a long emotional journey ahead of you in order to come to terms with the reality, which was that you were a victim of circumstance, just like Natasha was. Neither of you asked for the hand of cards you were dealt, but you had to play them.
“Why don’t we go to the couch and talk about this there? Let’s get you off the floor,” the redhead suggested, helping you up.
As you made your way to the couch with Natasha, Maria went to the fridge and brought you water, which you took gratefully.
You sat between your mothers, busying yourself by fidgeting with the edges of the blanket, not feeling too inclined to look at them while you felt so vulnerable, preparing yourself to start speaking. “I have a lot of dreams about my time being controlled by Hydra, some can be really bad.”
Your mind raced as you mulled over how much you were going to tell them. You hadn’t spoken very much about what happened to you while you were being controlled by Hydra. You figured they knew enough from reading your file and Natasha being there when you were taken into custody by SHIELD.
Still, there was a lot you didn’t want them to know. You were ashamed of yourself and terrified that they may not look at you the same way after they knew what you’d decided to tell them.
“I was mostly assigned to kidnappings for Hydra,” A lump grew in your throat as you spoke. “I was having a nightmare about this one girl named Marcy, she was the youngest target I ever had. She was also the last.” You could feel the anxiety you were having in every part of your body. You weren’t sure what you expected them to say but the longer they said nothing the more anxious you became.
“You aren’t going to start forgiving yourself until you’re able to acknowledge that what happened was not all your fault,” Natasha finally said, which made your brow furrow.
When you didn’t say anything, she continued, “You know you didn’t do any of the things you did because of your own volition. Hydra was using a formula very similar to the one the Red Room utilized. You weren’t able to make any decisions yourself. Until you’re able to let up on yourself and come to accept this, you won't be forgiving yourself anytime soon.”
You stayed silent for a couple of seconds before nodding, “I’ve never not blamed myself.”
Natasha offered a soft smile, “I know how that feels. It took me a very long time to get to where I am now. And a lot of help from Maria.”
“And you have both of us every step of the way,” Maria chimed in.
Your eyes watered as the corners of your lips turned up, “Thank you. I love you guys so much.”
Natasha pulled you in for a hug and it seemed like she needed it almost as much as you did, “We love you too. More than you know.”
When you pulled away you turned and hugged Maria, “Thanks for finding me.”
The brunette shrugged with a soft smile, “Of course. But next time why don’t you let us know when something’s bothering you? You scared us there.”
“I’ll try my best. I’m still getting used to the whole asking for help thing. I’m sorry.”
“Ehh, that’s alright. We both know what it’s like to be a little emotionally stunted,” Maria snickered.
Natasha rolled her eyes and playfully kicked Maria’s shin, pretending to be annoyed by her comment as you laughed.
Everything was going to be okay.

How about Scarlett being busy with work and R missing her mama while trying to get her attention

A/N• eeeee I’m gonna be writing for Scarlett! I’m likely to only do platonic fics for Scar as I’m not sure about writing anything else for an actual person
-
You sat facing the window while the phone was ringing. Following the raindrops down the glass until your mom finally picked up. “Hey y/n what’s up?” Scarlett asked, “Hi mom, I was just wondering when you’d be home, you said we could have our movie night today” you replied into your mobile. “Oh hunny I’m so sorry I completely forgot, I’m still gonna be at the office for a few hours, we’ll do it another night sweetie” you weren’t really disappointed, you had expected that she forgot. Before you could reply your mother cut you off “y/n I’ve got to go okay I’ll see you later, love you!” You listened to the call disconnect, at least you knew she still loved you, if only she would show you that.
You were asleep by the time Scarlett got home, and she was out before you woke up the next morning. The CEO hadn’t had time to prepare your lunch so she left $20 on the kitchen island for you. You stuffed it into your purse and headed off to school. It was a regular day, the stares and quiet hushes of your peers, the Johansson name hung over you like a dark cloud. It was the second lesson of the day, math, and you had been preparing for your test for the last week. The class fell silent as pens hit paper and you got through the first few questions quickly.
Scarlett was at her desk when her phone rang, your schools number appearing on her screen. “Hello” she said sceptically as she answered. “Hi Ms Johansson, it’s Mr Chan from Bridgewater high, we need you to come and collect y/n immediately. I’m afraid there’s been an incident and she’s been suspended for a week” your principal said. Scarlett was shocked, you had never been in any trouble at school “what’s happened!” She said down the phone. “I’m afraid her teacher caught her cheating on a test, are you available to come and collect her?” Your mother was mortified, she collected her things, asked Kate to hold the fort and stormed out of the office.
Scarlett didn’t say one word to you when she arrived at the school. She stomped back to the car with you half jogging behind to keep up with her. “Mom” you called again, “get in the car” she hissed. “Mom!” You shouted, “y/n get in the car! We’ll talk at home” Scarlett said. The journey felt longer than usual, the uncomfortable silence filled the atmosphere and your leg had began to bounce with anxiety. Scarlett’s grip was tight on the steering wheel, and she made a point of reving the engine to make sure you knew she was angry.
Your mom had you sat at the kitchen table the second you were inside, she remained on her feet and you realised how much trouble you were in. “Why?” Scarlett said “why on earth would you cheat on a test? I don’t understand y/n your one of the smartest kids in that school what the hell where you thinking!” She shouted. “I knew all the answers I just….” You whispered. “You what?” Scarlett said as she slammed her fists on the table “y/n like it or not you are a Johansson and I will not have you drag down the name, I have worked to damn hard!” Your mom screamed. “Well maybe you should stop working so hard!” You sobbed “maybe you should stop working and come home and be with me!” you cried.
Absolute silence fell across the room. Your mom had never heard you shout so loud, never seen you fight so hard to hold back tears. It seemed all at once she realised how you must be feeling “sweetheart” she whispered, a stark contrast from the noise moments before. “You were trying to get caught?” She asked as she came and sat on a nearby chair. “I didn’t know what else to do” you sniffled. “Baby you should’ve talked to me” Scarlett said, a hint of guilt coating her voice. “I tried, but you’re always so busy at the office and filming and now directing” you said as you used your sleeve to wipe your nose.
Your mom had never felt more ashamed. How had she been ignoring the one thing that mattered most to her, gotten so wrapped up in her work life that she hadn’t even noticed how desperate you were for her attention. “Y/n I’m so sorry. You’re right I’ve been so busy and I thought that it would help you in the long run but I completely missed what was happening right in front of me” Scarlett said as she began to softly cry. “I just wanna spend time with you mama” you whimpered. “Oh baby, come here, can I give you a cuddle?” Your mom asked.
You didn’t waste a second as you shuffled over to your mom, settling in her lap and wrapping yourself around her. You cried into her shoulder, soaking her shirt as Scarlett continued to whisper apologies into your ear. “Look at me baby” Your mom said as she gently held your face on her hands “I’m gonna take some time off work okay, it’s just gonna be me and you.” She said. You nodded as she wiped your teary eyes and lent forward to kiss you on the forehead. “Why don’t you go jump in the shower, I’ll order some food and then we’ll watch Toy Story” Scarlett said. “Pizza?” You whispered “of course baby” your mom smiled.
No less than an hour later you were curled up in your mom’s lap nibbling on your beloved pepperoni pizza. You promised not to quote too much of the film but Scarlett knew that was never going to happen. Toy Story was your absolute comfort film, you watched it after a bad day or when you were sick, even if you were just tired it was your go to. Your mom was gently carding her fingers across your scalp, the two of you were wrapped up in a big fuzzy blanket and Scarlett insisted that you were to lie still while she took care of you. Holding the pizza for you to eat and wiping up the sauce that dribbled down your cheek. You would never admit it, but you were enjoying your moms affection even though to others it may have seemed childlike.
When the first film had ended, Scarlett moved to grab the remote but when your head fell limp against her she realised you were fast asleep. “My baby” Scarlett cooed as she twisted you into her arms and stood up to carry you to bed. She waddled into your room and gentle placed you on the mattress. “Mama” you whined when you felt her let go “mamas bed?” You innocently asked “you wanna sleep with mommy tonight?” Scarlett asked, you nodded sleepily and your mom scooped you back up into her embrace, not forgetting to grab your stuffed bunny. You instantly rolled onto your moms side of the bed when she set you down, already missing her even though she was only across the room getting changed.
Your eyes fluttered open when you felt the bed dip behind you, you rolled over straight away to find her waiting with her arms open. You inhaled her scent, a gorgeous smell of cotton and lilies filled your nose. “‘M sorry for cheating on my test mama” you whispered “am I in trouble?” You asked. You felt Scarlett sigh heavily “I think we can let this one slide baby girl” your mom said “we may still have to deal with Mr Chan when you go back to school though” you groaned into your moms neck “he’s a dick” you said “he sure is” your mom agreed. Scarlett switched off the bedside lamp and pulled the duvet up to cover you both. “I love you so much y/n” she said as she began to trace her fingers up and down her back “I love you too mommy” you said with a smile.

The face that stares back at you in the mirror isn’t one you quite recognise. It seems to have fallen that way over the last year, fading away to a person you didn’t entirely know. Perhaps it was added to by the attire you now adorned, the tan blazer and black skirt sitting oddly against your skin, the white shirt underneath itching at the nape of your neck. You missed the summer dresses your mother often dressed you in, the cardigans patterned with embroidered flowers or the blouses in beautiful pale colours. Now it was all stripped away to a dull uniform, your girly flowers replaced by the red jungvolk symbol stitched into the arm of your coat. It was the image of everything your twin brother loved, and everything you were so unsure about.
“Do you have everything ready, my love?”
The voice startles you from your thoughts, your head spinning from your reflection where you stood previously examining your outfit. But when you spy the owner of the voice, your tensed shoulders loosen, greeted by a soft and familiar face.
“Ja, mama,” your reply, smiling back as the blonde-haired woman walks further into your room. Her eyes glance over you, then to the desk to your left.
“Do I need to check there are more than just books in that satchel or can I trust you this time?”
Your eyes follow to the brown satchel that sits upon the wooden desk, previously packed the night before for your expedition that weekend. Despite your brother having been packed for weeks, it had taken you longer to get round to it, your excitement barren compared to his. Still now, you push a smile on to your face, looking up at your mother.
“There are more than just books. I promise.”
She looks down on you with a playfully suspicious eye, a giggle stifling itself in your throat. “Alright, I’ll believe you this time.”
As a smile creeps on to her lips, her delicate fingers find the rolled neckerchief around your collar, adjusting the woven woggle until it sits perfectly straight against your shirt. She picks an invisible piece of dust from your shoulder before her hands land atop of them, eyes glinting down on you. “Come, I’ll do your hair for you.”
Her head nods in the direction of her bedroom, just across the hall from yours, as she turns away. Guided by a hand grasping hers, you follow your mother until the pair of you stand inside her room, your eyes momentarily fluttering over the comforting patterns and colours the decorations held. In front of the mirror, you take a seat on the small cushioned stool, looking over your shoulder as your mother reaches into the drawer you know she keeps all of her beauty supplies. It’s off limits to you for now but she says she’ll teach you everything there is to know about makeup and being a woman once you’re old enough, something you can only hope comes sooner rather than later.
When your mom returns with the hair brush in her hand, you swivel back around in your spot. You watch in the reflection as she begins to pull the bristles through your hair, humming a nonsensical tune as she frees you from any knots. “Your hair is getting so long, huh?” she muses from behind as she pulls your hair back from your face, intertwining strands to form two long braids down your back. You simply watch in a peaceful silence as she continues to hum to herself, just as much concentrated on your mother’s face as the work of her fingers. No matter what, it always seemed like she was able to appear put together, perpetually beautiful even doing the most mundane of tasks.
When your braids are completed, neatly running over your shoulders, your mother reaches across to the dresser. Atop, sit two small ribbons which she pulls between her fingers, previously unnoticed by your eye. From behind, she lifts up one braid at a time, tying the ribbon around the bottom until she places them both at the front, two perfect little bows in place. The blonde’s head comes to rest upon yours, both of your eyes meeting in the reflection of the mirror. She smiles widely as she looks back at you. “Beautiful.”
A small kiss is placed on the crown of your head before your mother turns away, returning to her dresser and the secret beauty drawer it holds. While she tidies away, your eyes remain fixed on your reflection. For a moment, your fingers reach up to touch the small ribbons in your hair, the material soft and silky against your skin. Then they drop to your lap, a small sigh exiting your lips. The distraction of your mother’s soft touch has now gone, your mind fading back to the small distress it found looking at yourself just ten minutes before.
It seems with your sigh, you show more expression that you intended, and with it, you cause your mother to turn in her spot. Her eye meets you again in the mirror, her smile quickly dropping into a perturbed frown. “Why such a long face, hm?” she asks, closing the gap between you both as she comes to stand behind you. “You don’t think I did a good job?”
Immediately, you shake your head, forcing a smile onto your face. “No, you did, mama.”
But this isn’t any old person you’re trying to fool. Your mother knows you like the back of her own hands, and sees straight through your forced happiness. “Then why do you look so sad?”
With her words, your expression drops once more. Your eyebrows dip as your lips fall into a pout, your gaze dropping to your lap and the pair of anxious hands that rest there. “I don’t want to go, mama.”
The words ring out familiar, something you’d not only already told your mother, but also yourself a hundred times over. The training weekend was supposed to be a great trip for the jungvolk, a chance to learn real skills surrounded by professional soldiers, but the entire idea of it made you feel rather sick to your stomach. Going to school alone made you feel a slight homesickness, longing to return back home with each hour you spent away, so the concept of an entire weekend spent out in the forest sounded almost unbearable. Perhaps it was just the idea of being away from your mother for so long that made your stomach churn, a longing attachment to her lingering around your head ever since you’d been a small child, something the other girls at school hadn’t missed out on and found opportunity to pick on you for. The entire thing wasn’t helped by the fact your brother was a complete fanatic, entirely devoted to the jungvolk and non-stop going on about the weekend and how much fun it was going to be. You, on the other hand, just couldn’t wait to be back home.
A small sigh escapes your mother’s lips as your statement befalls her ears. You feel her move beside you, then in your peripheral see her kneeling down on the carpet in front of you. “I know, darling,” she says, voice gentle. “But you have to. Who else is going to look after your brother, hm?”
You scoff as you raise your eyes to meet hers, scowling slightly as you look at her gently smiling face. “Jojo will just be with his stupid friends the whole time. And he says I can’t hang out with them because I’m a girl.”
Your mother clicks her tongue. “Ah, yes. Well, boys are stupid. A sad fact us smart girls have to learn.”
You know she’s trying to joke, trying to make you smile, but this morning it’s not in your heart. It hurts a little to ignoring her playfully smirking face, one that always has you creasing at the corners of your eyes, but still your eyes fall back to your lap, your expression returning to the sad frown the planned expedition has caused.
You hear your mother let out a small sigh, adjusting herself where she sits as a hand reaches out for one of yours, grasping and squeezing ever so gently with silken soft skin. “Maybe this weekend you can make a friend of your own, hm? Finally find someone to talk to besides your books?”
You know your mother’s words are coming from a place of warmth but still they manage to twist the knife in your gut. You’d always struggled to make friends, the girls at school never quite accepting you and always finding a reason to holler a mean comment your way. “Maybe,” you mutter under your breath, knowing that the likelihood of her proposition was next to none. The fact all the girls from your school were also attending the training weekend was just another reason for your hesitation to go. Now trying to fight back small tears that pool at the corners of your eyes, you look back up from your lap. “Why can’t I just stay here with you, mama?”
Rosie gives you that motherly look she so often does, soft but assertive. “Darling, we talked about this,” she says, head tilting, the previously spoken conversation seemingly translating through her eyes. “Besides, I have things to do while you’re away.”
You frown. “What things?”
“Mama things,” she replies, eyebrows raising.
Her response only seems to deepen your troubled expression. “You’re always doing mama things.”
Rosie sighs, adjusting herself where she kneels on the floor. “Well I have to do mama and papa things now, hm,” she hums, trying to meet your gaze that has fallen away from her face. “It’s not so easy keeping you and your brother fed, especially since he’s decided he’s the man of the house and should eat as such.”
Another joke, another one of your mother’s attempts to make you laugh. The memory of your brother’s demands surfaces in your mind, dictating that as a ‘man’ he should get a bigger portion than you because you were just a ‘little girl’. An argument had of course ensued over the fact he was only fourteen minutes older than you and that he wasn’t a man, just a little boy too. The memory of it all is one you know your mom has brought up to make you laugh, but your mind instead sticks to the previous comment befallen from her lips.
It’s been almost three years since your father had been conscripted for the war, and over two years since you’d received your last letter from him. Your mama told you constantly he was doing what he could, fighting to end the war so he could come home to all of you. But every day his absence seemed to hurt a little more, like a thousand needles poking at your little aching heart.
“I miss papa.”
The words are uttered to your lap, the tears threatening to fall off the cusp of your waterline. There’s a sound from your mother that echoes out, almost a gasp but somehow gentler. Then another, a sigh, as you hear her stand to her feet. A pair of hands reach out for yours, pulling gently and tugging you to your feet. As you stand, long arms envelope you in an embrace, one of your mother’s hands coming to rest on the back of your head. You bury yourself into her warmth as she sways gently, holding you close. “Me too, little cub,” she whispers softly. “Me too.”
For a moment, you simply bask in the comfort of her touch, hidden away in her arms from a world you didn’t want to face. “He’ll be home soon, right?”
You're pulled away from the hug, your mother holding on to your shoulders as she smiles down at you. "Very soon, my darling." Her words are meant as a comfort but you're old enough now to know they're not strong in truth, the same promise uttered to you over more months than you could care to count. Still, you take this moment to pretend to yourself that this time it is true, that very soon your family will be reunited once more.
It seems your mother must notice your still solace expression as her hands move to your own. She grabs hold gently as she turns you, guiding you towards her bed. "Here, sit," she says. You follow her instructions, sitting yourself on the edge of the mattress, watching as your mother crosses the room. You try your best to see around her as she rakes through a drawer in her desk, moments later returning with something hidden in her hand. "I was going to save this for your birthday but I think now might be a better time for you to have it." You watch intently as she kneels next to you, eyes focused on her clasped hand and whatever it may be concealing. "Plus, I think it might give you some strength for this weekend."
Curiously, you watch as her hand extends out to you, her fingers unfurling to reveal whatever gift she may have. When you spy what it is, a soft gasp elicits from your throat, eyes trained on the alluring glint radiated by the golden metal sat in your mother's open palm. You notice her smile from the corner of your eye as she reads your face. "You remember this?" she asks and you nod quickly.
A small hand reaches out to touch the piece of jewelry bundled up in her hand, fingers tracing along the chain and then the shape of the metal. "Your old locket," you reply, voice barely above a whisper as you admire the necklace, the golden centrepiece delicately inlaid with intricate swirls and patterns. There was a time your mother wore it every day, up until your father had bought her a new one for their anniversary.
Rosie hums happily at your recognition, her smile deepening. "Open it up," she says, face awaiting your reaction.
You do as she says, carefully reaching out for the necklace and taking it in your hands. With attentive fingers, you click open the clasp, opening up the locket's two halves and letting them sit delicately against your palm. A smile immediately appears on your face as you see the images printed inside, a warmth bubbling up inside your chest. On one half is your father, the other half your mother, both smiling back at you in their Sunday best. They are the same images contained within your family portrait down stairs, only this time they are hidden away in a small locket meant just for you.
"Do you like it?" Rosie asks, her face waiting in front of you. You meet her eyes with a glint, smiling wide from ear to ear.
"I love it."
The smile on your mother's face deepens as she laughs gently. "Here," she says, standing to her feet. "Let me put it on for you." You follow her to your feet, moving to stand in front of the mirror as she takes the necklace from your hand. Watching the reflection, you seen her unclasp the locket before moving it around your neck. She fastens it back up, allowing it to rest against your shirt. Quickly, she pulls your hair out from the chain, making sure it is perfectly secured around your neck before meeting your eye in the reflection. You smile widely up at her as your fingers find the locket, playing with the metal and once again tracing its engraved details. "It's beautiful, mama."
Rosie smiles, placing a soft kiss to the top of your head. "Almost as beautiful as you." She reaches out gently for your shoulders as she turns you around to face her, bending ever so slightly at the knee to reach the same height as you. "Now," she says. "You wear this and me and papa will always be with you." Her hand reaches out towards your chest, resting to cover the locket. "Right here. Close to your heart, okay?"
You nod, feeling the warmth in your chest not only from her touch but from the sentiment of your new found gift. "Ja, mama."
Just then, the serenity of your moment is suddenly shattered as you hear a scream radiating through your house. Both you and your mother turn your head towards the door as the yells from down stairs travel through the house and to your ears. It's your brother's voice, most likely from his bedroom, screaming the same words over and over, a salute to your country's ruler. His voice gets louder as you hear him run through the house, eventually throwing the front door open and simply howling out to the outside world. As you hear it dim away, guessing he's moved away from the house and most likely down the street, you turn back to look at your mother. Her expression is rather amusing, looking quite confused but, in a way, also entirely used to your brother's odd antics. "That boy has too much energy for his own good, you know that?" she says, meeting your gaze. You laugh at her comment, imagining your brother running down the streets of town like he so often did. Just then, your mother smiles back at you, her expression immediately softening. Her fingers reach to hold your cheek, grasping so gently at your skin. "There's my beautiful smiling girl."
Her words can't help but deepen your smile, looking up her eyes so full of love and comfort. You two bask in the moment until she turns away, reaching for the small black beret that sits upon the edge of the bed. "Here," Rosie says, placing the hat upon your head and adjusting it so it sits just right. She bends at the knee, looking at you with a warm expression. "You are going to be just fine this weekend, I promise." Her hands find your shoulders, giving them a reassuring squeeze. "And when you come back, I'll give you the biggest mama lion hug in the whole world and we can eat chocolate by the fire while you tell me how annoying your brother was all trip. How does that sound?"
You meet her playful glance with a lighthearted smile of your own. "Sounds good, mama."
Rosie winks, clicking her tongue in unison, a trick that always brings a smile to both you and your brother's face. "That's my girl," she says, holding on to your chin for just a moment before she straightens up once more. She brushes away invisible dust on her trousers then smiles down at you. "Now let’s get some breakfast packed up for you and your brother. You can catch up with him and both eat it on the way, hm?"
You nod, content in the idea. "Okay, mama."
But before she can turn to leave the room, you're reaching out for one final touch, your arms wrapping around her waist and face burying into her chest. She holds you back, placing gentle kisses to the top of your head. "I love you so much, my darling cub," she says, voice as gentle as the summer breeze. And in her warmth you smile, because no matter how frightening the world may seem, how apprehensive you are to venture out there, she would always be there as a shining light to guide you back home.
"I love you so much too, mama."

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fluff, a lil of angst.
A/n: this is another from my wattpad but I have a one shot in my drafts okay. (But I’m still being lazy)
Pretty short soz.
Natasha's POV:
I've just came home from a six month mission, and I can't wait to see y/n. She been with Yelena and everyone else, I'm still on the jet, and I have two hours left until I'm home.
2 HOUR TIME SKIP:
As I'm landing the jet I see everyone but Yelena and y/n. I get off the jet hug everyone then I ask "where's Yelena and y/n?" They look at each other and Wanda was gonna say something, but tony stopped her.
"Where is my sister and my kid tony." I ask tilting my head slightly, tony was going to say something but Wanda said "they are upstairs in Yelena's room" I thank Wanda and go up to her room. I knock on the door and wait for an answer.
After a few seconds Yelena opens the door, and was about to say something until she saw it was me. "Natalia?" She say and hugs me, and I hug her back. Then I see a little red headed girl on Yelena's bed, "y/n?" I say and see her look at me "baby it's mama." Lena says, and she looks at me and looks at Lena.
"That's not mama" she says and goes to Lena, "it is mama, dorogoy" Lena says and I just look at her and smile "I want mama auntie Lena!" Y/n says while crying. "Baby mama is right there" lena says, "that's not mama, mama has red hair" y/n says looking at my blonde hair. (Sweetheart)
"It's okay Lena" I say with a sigh, and leave her room and go to mine.

She looks at me and says "why did she have to auntie Lena?", "cause it was for her mission" I say with a sad smile and hear a knock on the door. "Come in" I say and see Natasha with her red her "mama?" Y/n says "hi moya lyubov’” Natasha says. (My love)

“I’m sorry mama” y/n says “why baby?” I ask, “because I thought you weren’t mama” she says and I smile. “I’m sorry baby I didn’t mean to change my hair” I say and pick her up.
"Mama how long will your white hair stay?" Y/n says with a confused look, "I don’t know Detka just gotta wait” I say and kiss her forehead, we walked to the common room by the kitchen and we sat on one of the couches. (Baby)
"Hey Nat how was the mission" someone asked me but I wasn't listening, "Nat?" Then I looked up. "Oh it was good" I say with a smile and looked at y/n and she was about to say something. "Mama I'm hungry" and I smile and got up and said "what do you want baby" she thinks for a bit "peanut butter cut in triangles, please" she says with a smile and Wanda says "she's just like you Nat" with a giggle, I smile and pick her up and go to the kitchen.
"Okay Detka this is how you make mamas favourite sandwich's" I say and she giggles, I show her how to make it and I saw Yelena look at us with a jealous look, because I never show anyone how I make my peanut butter sandwich’s. I cut them in triangles and give one to y/n.
and then I walk over to Yelena "here you go" I say with a smile then Yelena says "why does she get to know how you make these" she says with a huff "maybe cause she’s my daughter" I say with a laugh and go back to y/n eating her sandwich, and sit down with her.
“I missed you mama” she says while watching bluey, “I missed you too baby” I say and pull her onto my lap. “Did you make any drawings while I was gone?” I ask and her face lit up and she hoped off my lap and went to her room.
Then when she came back she had lots of drawings, “okay which ones do you want me to put on the fridge? And which ones do you want me to put in my room?” I ask her then she picks which ones go where.

Y/n’s POV:
As I was picking pictures for mama I saw her yawn “mama wanna have nap?” I ask her while titling my head. “That’s a great idea, baby, we’ll pick these later okay?” She asked “okay mama”.
Then she picks me up and takes me to her room, she puts me on her bed and says “I just gonna have a shower okay?” She says and I nod my head, getting comfy in mamas bed.
Soon I end up falling asleep, then mama got out of the shower and hops in with me as i cuddle liho, she could feel the smile on my face and just giggled.
“Good night my sweet girl” she mumbled quietly and soon fell asleep.

—————————————
Part 1
You sat in your bed later that night after saying goodnight to your mother and Colin yet you couldn’t seem to fall asleep. It wasn’t until closer to 2 am that you finally were able to fall asleep.
Y/N Pov:
I opened my eyes to see myself surrounded by water that was pitch black. I looked up seeing mom and Colin standing on a rock holding Rose and Cosmo. I called out to them but my voice disappeared into the nothingness.
That’s when i turned my head a little and saw him. My dad, standing with a gun pointing it directly at my family. I tried to swim but felt like i was being held down by the water.
“MOM!!!!!” I screamed, my voicing making me flinch back. “MOM PLEASE”
I heard 4 loud bangs and watched as my family all crumbled to the ground. Everything went black and my eyes flew open showing me the TV screen, paused on a scene in black widow with my mom. I heard a scream, later i realized it was my own, and I felt my chest instantly tighten as sobs forced their way through my throat and out of my mouth.
“Mama! Mama!!! Mama please!!”
Scarlett POV:
I heard soft whimpers coming from one of my kids but they settled down pretty fast so I buried myself into Colin’s chest before I heard my eldest scream as if she was being murdered. I bolted up and quickly ran to Y/N’s room, now noting her calling me over and over again.
“Mama! Mama!!! Mama please!!” I flung the door to her room open and saw her clutching at her throat, scratching at it, her whole body wracking with sobs.
I ran over to her bed and immediately placed my hands on her shoulders and looked at her eyes which were glossed over, she didn’t seem to be with me.
“Squirt. You’re okay. You’re with mama.” I said, firmly cupping her cheeks. “Mama has you.”
She scratched at her neck more gasping to get a breath. The last time she acted like this was the night she told me about her father. Thats when i realized, she had woken up and was stuck in a flashback. I pulled her into my arms, locking her arms against her body to stop her scratching. I slid into her bed a little more and pulled her trembling body into mine, her screams turned into sobs as she moved her hands to clutch at my shirt sobbing into my neck.
I sat there and rocked her, one hand running through her hair, the other tracing patterns on her back as she slowly calmed down. Y/N pulled back and looked up at me blinking, her matching green eyes coming back into focus as they landed on me.
“Mama…” Her voice was hoarse as her eyes filled with water again and she buried into my neck once more realizing I was holding her. “You’re alive…”
I noticed her hand was sitting against my chest right above my heart. “Yeah bubs. What happened…?”
“H-he sh-sh-shot you and d-daddy and Rose and C-Cosie… I couldn’t s-save you…”
“Oh bubs… we’re all here. Shall we go check on your siblings? hmm?” I asked pulling back slightly, cupping a cheek with my hand wiping a thumb over her cheek bone. She nodded with a small sniffle. I stood, hoisting her so she was wrapped around me like a koala. She locked her arms around my neck and her legs around my waist after grabbing her baby blanket.
I pushed the door to Cosmos nursery open and walked over to his crib, letting y/n/n look at him before she made grabby hands at him.
“You want dad to come get your siblings and we can all sleep in my bed?” I whispered into my little girls head earning a small nod in return. “Okay.…”
We made our way into my room and sat on the bed next to a concerned looking Colin. “Flashback after a nightmare. Can you go get the littles? We’re having a family cuddle night and no work or school tomorrow.” I said making Colin nod swiftly before he ran off to fetch the other two.
I laid down, y/n/n cuddling into me on her side, one hand clutching my shirt, the other wrapped around her baby blanket. Her head was on my chest and my hands wrapped around her waist, tracing small patterns into her skin. Colin came back in holding a confused and sleepy Rose and Cosmo. The two sniffled but immediately buried into their sister as they were laid down, Colin laid on the other side of the three of them and held them as well.
The next morning, i felt myself start to wake up as Cosmo slowly shuffled his way over to me. “Hi sweet boy…” Hi mumbled rubbing his back as he laid on top of me, y/n had shifted so she had her arms around Rose who was asleep on top of her, one hand clinging to Colin’s shirt in her sleep. Cosmo babbled quietly before he finally looked at me and patted my chest. “Mama miwk.” I laughed as I pulled my shirt up and helped him latch on before i saw my eldest mumble before her eyes opened to lock on mine.
“You’re all here…” She muttered with a small smile before it turned into a frown. “I’m sorry… i didn’t mean to be a burden…” I instantly frowned and cupped her cheek, my heart breaking at the worried look on her face.
“Hey. No. None of that. You are not a burden. You are allowed to need my attention too. Today is all about you squirt. I know i said this yesterday but you are JUST as important to me as Rose and Cosmo. You made me a mama. You are my first baby girl.” I wiped a tear that had fallen off her cheek. “I’m going to do everything in my power to show you how important you are to me and that I am so sorry i ever made you feel like i don’t love you. Because i do my love.”
Y/n broke down into tears again with a huge smile on her face. “I love you mama…”
“I love you to squirt.”
After a while, y/n had fallen back asleep and Cosmo and Rose were now awake and wanting breakfast so i slipped out of bed leaving my husband and eldest asleep as i went downstairs to make pancakes for my family. I had some music playing quietly as the two little ones coloured at the table.
After feeding them and myself i heard a frantic call of my name and then someone bolting down the stairs.
I ran towards the stairs and immediately my 20 year old had barrelled into my arms clinging to me again. “Y-you weren’t there!”
“Oh princess. I’m so sorry! I was making breakfast. That’s all. come eat some pancakes. I’ll sit right beside you the whole time.” She nodded pulling back wiping her eyes.
“I know i’m being clingy… I’m just… i didn’t even know he got out…” She muttered as we made our way towards the kitchen. I took a deep breath.
“That’s my fault pumpkin. I had heard rumours but didn’t believe them… i didn’t want to… he’s not going to hurt us. I called the cops on him when he showed up here. He broke parole by being here.” I pressed a soft kiss into her hair. “He’s gone love.”
She looked up at me with a watery smile making me give her a soft smile back. “I’ll do better.”

Beach Day
Tumblr media
Summary : You and your dad go to the beach with the avengers cast
Your age : 3
“Are you excited to go to the sea side ?” Sebastian asks you as he turns to look at you.
You gave your dad a nod and continued looking out the window.
Your dad could tell that you were nervous so he put on Disney songs to make you more at ease.
“LET IT GOO LET IT GOO.” Sebastian starts singing on purpose as he knows it will make you laugh.
Your laugh echos in the car as your dad starts to grin at your reaction.
“Look baby doll we are here,” Sebastian says as he finds a parking space.
You clap your hands in excitement as you can see your uncle Anthony and uncle Chris talking.
Your dad greets your uncles and then opens your car door and get you out of your car seat and places you on the ground.
“There’s my favourite niece in the whole wide world,” says Chris.
“At least i’m favourite uncle,” Anthony argues.
You start giggling to yourself and hug both of your uncle’s legs. They both take it in turns to give you a hug and shower you with kisses.
Sebastian takes all the stuff out of the boot and then picks you up and places you on his shoulders.
You guys make your way down to the beach and you see all of your other aunties and uncles.
You start to shake and play with your dad’s hair so Chris takes you and whispers soothing things in your ear to calm you down.
“Hey it’s okay baby” “You’re okay i’m here”
Your dad sets up everything with the help of your aunties and uncles.
Sebastian then takes you from Chris and leans your head against his shoulder and takes you to see everyone.
Scarlett, Elizabeth, Robert, Chris Hemsworth, Mark and Jeremy all give you a hug and greet your dad.
You cuddle deeper into your dad until Elizabeth takes you and plays with you in the sand.
She then puts sunscreen on you and tickles you.
Your dad grins as he watches you interact with Elizabeth.
You and Elizabeth bury Robbie in the sand.
Your dad tries to get you to interact with the other children but he knew you weren’t ready for that just yet.
Jeremy helps you build a sand castle and Ava helps you find sea shells to put on the castle.
Chris Hemsworth holds you as he takes you into the water, all of his kids are surfing, Elsa is watching them play in the water.
Sebastian looks at the time and calls you over for a nap.
Robert quickly catches you as you try to run away from your dad.
Sebastian walks around the beach holding you as your cries start to decrease.
He walks back to everyone and lays down on the sun bed with you on his chest, he places a pacifier in your mouth and puts a blanket over you for shade.
After 45 minutes, you begin to stir, so you dad soothes you and waits until you fully wake up.
Scarlett takes you from your dad so that he can get up and she starts to rock you as you rub your eyes to wake up.
Mark then gives you an ice lolly and you say thank you and hug his leg.
Everyone starts packing up and you play with Rose, India and Ava while the others play something else.
Anthony spins you around and runs to the arcade with you.
Him and Chris got you a teddy from the grabbers which took them a million tries.
At sunset everyone says their goodbyes and starts to make tracks.
Chris and Anthony are the last ones to leave as they give you long hugs even though they will see you in a couple of days.
Sebastian puts you in your car seat and gives you your pacifier, bunny and blanket.
As soon as your dad turns the car on you let sleep take over.

Panic attack
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y/N: 12 years old Scarlett: mom Lizzie: mama ——————————————————
NO ONE'S POV It's been the most stressful week in the young Olsen-Johansson's life and it's only Wednesday, two more days to go. She has a lot of homework, so many exams coming up and it's driving her crazy.
She has troubles with eating, sleeping and that didn't go unnoticed by Y/N's mothers. Of course Scarlett and Lizzie are worried about their little girl and are doing their best to make sure Y/N eats and gets enough sleep.
A knock on the door interrupts the young girl in the middle of writing an essay. Her eyes leave the screen of her laptop for a moment, locking them with a pair of green eyes belonging to one of her mothers.
"Sweetheart, how about a little break? Mama and I thought we could watch your favorite movie, play a game or do anything you'd like" Scarlett asks softly, attempting to get her daughter away from studying.
Both, Scarlett and Lizzie, are happy that their daughter wants to be good at school and have good grades, yet sometimes they see how's Y/N tired and stressed, so they just need to get her away from all the school work.
Y/N's just a really hard-working kid, also very shy and quite an introvert which makes the pressure even bigger, especially when she needs to speak in front of the entire class like tomorrow.
And to all of this pressure there's a group of children in Y/N's class who likes to use Y/N's kindness, shyness and inability to say no in their favour, making her do their homework in exchange they won't hurt her.
"Would you mind if we'd do that later? I really need to finish this" Y/N points at the screen, making Scarlett let out a sigh even though she was expecting this answer.
"I really think you should take a break, honey. Promise that once you finish this you come downstairs to take a break and do something with us, yeah?"
"Mhm. I promise, mom" Y/N nods, more so that Scarlett would leave and let her finish the essay.
Scarlett sighs once again, closing the door of her daughter's room, and walks downstairs to her wife while Y/N gets back into writing the essay.
Y/N sighs in relief once she writes the last word. Just a coma is missing and she's finished. But in the exact moment she presses the button, the screen of her laptop goes black.
"No, no, no" The girl mumbles out, desperately trying to switch it back on, but nothing works. It's been charging the entire time, so there's no way the laptop discharged.
A panic takes over her as she stands up from her chair, walking around in circles and thinking about all those things the group of bullies will do to her if she won't give them the essay tomorrow.
It gets harder to breath and Y/N's hands start shaking. Her knees get weak, so she catches a chair for support, accidentally knocking it down and ending on the ground with the chair.
Tears start to run down her cheeks uncontrollably, her lungs not accepting any air as her entire body is shaking.
"Y/N/N, are you okay?!" Lizzie calls as both parents heard a loud noise, both walking upstairs to check on their daughter. "Y/N, honey, are you-" Lizzie stops at the sight of her shaking and crying daughter, immediately rushing to her and Scarlett doing the same.
"Y/N/N, you need to breathe. Breathe with me, honey. Slow breaths with mommy, okay?" Scarlett says, attempting to get her daughter to take a proper breath which fails.
Scarlett and Lizzie share a worried look when nothing seems to work. Tears keep streaming down Y/N's face as she's rapidly trying to take a breath.
"Sweetheart, look at me please" Lizzie places her hands on her daughter's knees on which Y/N lifts her eyes. "That's it, baby. Can you tell me five thing you can see?"
And once again this attempt fails. Lizzie squeezes her eyes shut, trying to remember everything that always helped when Y/N was having a meltdown when she was younger while Scarlett's trying to somehow calm Y/N down.
"Skin to skin! It always helped. Can you take her shirt off?" Lizzie asks, earning a nod from her wife who immediately and carefully removes Y/N's shirt off while Lizzie takes off hers.
Lizzie carefully pulls her daughter close, laying her head on her chest, so she could listen to Lizzie's heartbeat.
"There we go, sweetheart. Mama's got you. You're safe, baby" Lizzie tells her daughter softly, watching as Y/N's breathing slowly gets into normal.
"Would you like to talk about what happened with me and mama?" Scarlett asks when Y/N calms down completely, running her fingers through her daughter's hair and giving her a soft smile.
"I-I was just finishing the essay when m-my laptop died. I-I couldn't turn it on a-and I have so many other things to do. I-I need it o-or they'll hurt me" Y/N admits on which Scarlett and Lizzie share confused and worried look.
"Who will hurt you, baby?" Lizzie questions.
"Brad and his friends. T-they said they will hurt me if I won't do their homework" Y/N confesses, earning a sigh from both of her mothers.
"Sweetheart, you can't be doing homework for other children. They won't hurt you, I promise. Mama and I will make sure of it, yeah? You don't have to worry about it" Scarlett smiles softly, pressing a kiss to her daughter's head.
"I think you've overworked yourself, bubs. No school for today, nothing will happen if you won't have a homework for once and as mommy said, we will make sure those kids won't hurt you, be mean to you or make you to do their homework for them" Lizzie adds, also pressing a kiss to her daughter's head. "Let's just cuddle and watch a movie, yeah?"
The three end up in Scarlett and Lizzie's shared room, snuggling up in the bed and watching Y/N's favorite movie.
Y/N's eyes get heavy a few minutes after the start of the movie though and as she closes them, she falls into a deep slumber which makes both of her mother smile, whisper a few sweet things to her and press a kiss to their little girl's forehead.
