I found a new footprint at work recently. One of the best things about working at Animal Kingdom is that there’s so much detail, so there’s always something new to discover. Taste of Terra I can't find myself in my longing place

I thought you were a same like every other one But you changed my world You see me with the eyes different from every other one

I can't say it was a great adventure It was different from the world travel everyone will envy I got hurt, it's same I hurts many things, more than ever I went farther than my choice to be live

I won't ask "was it right?" But here became my place I found a home for a first time Felt like that

The 55 Types of Poetry Forms - Nr 5: Cinquain: Gateway

Number 5 of the 55 Types of Poetry Forms, only 50 to go guys! But honestly: I really love this!!

This time I've chosen: Cinquain.

Poetry with five lines. Line 1 has one word (the title). Line 2 has two words that describe the title. Line 3 has three words that tell the action. Line 4 has four words that express the feeling, and line 5 has one word which recalls the title

Gateway gives much - with little!

Maybe it is because of just that? Less words - more meaning?

So pleased to have been able to attend the Speculative Fiction Readings at Montreal’s @argobookshop featuring the fabulous Jo Walton, Su Sokol, and A.E. Prevost on January 10, 2019. After the invited writers read, the floor was opened up for others to share their work out loud. I know I’m not necessarily known for speculative fiction, fantasy, or science-fiction writing but one whole section of my debut poetry book, The Emperor’s Sofa (DC Books, 2010) is devoted to poems that make up the story of a post-apocalyptic crumbling empire and its inhabitants. I don’t often get a chance to read from my first collection, so this was a fun opportunity to do so. I’m including one of the poems I read titled “Man and Dog” in here for you to check out.
