WoF tribe specific curses/exclaimations (some used in a sentence so you get a better sense of the impact lol)
*some of these are morbid so be warned*
SkyWings
"Flaming feathers, you scared the smoke out of me!"
"Holy fireballs, that's a lot of treasure!"
"Leaping sheep, how long have you been standing there?"
"Smoke and fire, what happened to all my deer jerky?"
"Moons on fire, what in Pyrrhia's peaks were you thinking?"
"Corpses in a canyon, what happened to your arm?"
"SeaWing's salty scales, what did you put in this drink?"
SandWings
"Snakes on a rock, why do we still have that horrible thing?"
"Ravens and crows, what am I going to do with you?"
"Son of a one legged camel! Argh, I thought I told you to close the window screen!!"
"Oh, sweet prickly pears."
"King Cobra's teeth."
"Blister's burning tail, it's hot out here even for me!"
"Blue desert sky, I hate when he does that."
"Queen's cloaca, next you're going to tell me it's wrong to steal other dragons' purses if they leave them unattended."
SeaWings
"Jellyfish sting, have some tact for reef's sake!"
"Oysters on the half shell, you need a breath mint."
"Woo, slippery sardines, you make a good margarita!"
"Cuttlefish guts, what a thing to say to someone!"
"Mullet down my gullet, why is it always me that has to take care of things?"
"Sweet Prince Albatross, what the herring is going on here?"
"What in the Mariana Trench?"
NightWings
"By all the stars!"
"Darkstalker's teeth, don't sneak up on me like that!"
"Falling stars, that's a big fruit!"
"Moons curse it!"
"Venomous vultures...what happened here?"
"Queen's fire, be careful with that!"
"Burning IceWings, I thought I told you not to touch my notes!"
MudWings
"Well, cut off my wings and call me a crocodile, I never thought I'd see you again!"
"Oh, catfish whiskers, I can't believe I let it burn!"
"Now, where in Pyrrhia's green swamps did I put those onions?"
"Peas and carrots, darlin', what happened to you?"
"Cattails in the clay, what are you doing aggravating my poor bees?"
"Oh, for goose's sake!"
RainWings
"Ow, green and orange, that hurt!"
"Vipers and anacondas!"
"Sky full of spiders, you NightWings are bummers."
"Howling monkeys, stop that horrible noise!"
"Great green sloths, what could you possibly need so badly that I have to stop my sun time?"
"Sweet tangerine."
IceWings
"What in the name of the Great Ice Dragon?"
"Freezing moons."
"Frosted flames, is that a firescales?"
"Blue ice."
"Beluga's blubber, you dragonets ask too many questions."
"Silver horns, that's a big polar bear."
"Darkstalker's dagger!"
HiveWings
"Son of a bee!"
"If I see one more STINGING pen where it's not supposed to be, I swear to STINGING CLEARSIGHT---!"
"Bloodsucking flies, this place looks awful!"
"Oh, for Wasp's sake!"
"Royal jelly on bee bread toast, I can't believe you."
"Clearsight's book!"
LeafWings
"Coca leaf salad, you've all gone nuts."
"Holy tomato!"
"Dragon blood sap..."
"Jolly jaguars, that can't be good."
"Murderous mushrooms, where did she go?"
SilkWings
SilkWings don't curse, silly! :)

🍷The Heir of Evil🐉 AU fans have decided, and...
🍷The Heir of Evil🐉 AU Reader will be an IceWing!!
I have a few headcanons for them, and a a bit of backstory and lore planned, too😊 Let's dive in:
• ❄IceWing!🍷Heir of Evil!🐉 Reader is the grandchild or great-grandchild to the wicked IceWing queen, specifically the one who put the tribe into multiple wars and skirmishes and tried to take over the dragon world. Reader isn't like her (they're not an irredeemable monster who hurts others for fun)
• Heir! Reader wears jewelry that is mostly silver or black, but loves any sort of colorful gemstones or charms...
• Heir! Reader only wears the pieces of jewelry that are necessary; they don't want to waste the tribe's treasure on frivolous items, and if the jewelry appeals to other tribes, then it might make Reader and the IceWings seem more appealing, like they're dragons, too...
• Heir! Reader is good with algebra, dragon biology, and creative writing...
• Heir! Reader is torn between what the two sides of their kingdom wants: to stay unscheming and try to foster peace, hoping other tribes will leave them alone and not hurt them further... or to amass enough power and treasure that they can wage a war against the other tribes, or at least the IceWing hybrids who some view as traitors...
• Heir! Reader's necklace they were told to never take off is enchanted, but they don't know that. The necklace hides something about them, which is why their vanished/dead parent gave it to them...
• Heir! Reader has had to stop a coup for their throne/title at age four (about 12 year old in WoF dragon years), which led to them earning the respect of the remaining advisors and generals of their late parent/late family, as well as the respect of the few nobles left and the different IceWing villages...
• Heir! Reader's hatching day is a mystery, as no one ever saw their egg, nor them, when they were first hatched, save for their deceased parent and a late ally of their's...
• Heir! Reader has an army of pet foxes, all of which are (diet) platonic yandere for them (they're all so cute and cuddly and fluffy-!)
• Heir! Reader, unlike most IceWings, enjoys trying cooked meats and exotic dishes from other tribes and kingdoms...
• Heir! Reader prefers to sleep with a fur blanket, not because they're cold (they're an IceWing), but because they like the soft fur and fuzzy texture...
• Heir! Reader is an aromantic-asexual...
• Heir! Reader enjoys traditonal IceWing foods such as fresh salmon with lemon juice, thinly-sliced caribou strips, puffin and moss salad, kalimari (squid), bear jerkey, ox ribs seasoned lightly with moss, seal meat marinated in ginger/lemon/honey, as well as ice cream, frozen berry slush, and lemon-flavored shaved ice...
• Heir! Reader likes traditional dishes from other kingdoms such as: MudWing's Diamond Delta Gumbo, SandWing's Cinnamon Milk and Roasted Lizard Kebabs, SkyWing's Charred+Barbecued Eagle Wings, SeaWing's Thousand Scales Thousand Fish Sushi, RainWing's Mango-Orange Juice, NightWing's Smoked Boarchops, HiveWing's Honey-roasted Shrimp, SilkWing's Loaded Baked and Sweet Potatoes, and LeafWing's Planter's Pie...
• Heir! Reader sometimes wears a small, spiked tailband on the end of their tail, nestled above where their spikes are...
• Heir! Reader enjoys sunrises, and writes new poems and hymns for their tribe to sing at their Gifts of the Ice Dragon Festival...
• Heir! Reader enjoys old literature, especially comedies...
(I will make another post about Heir! Reader facts, but dealing with IceWing culture)
(I wonder what their name could/should/would be?)

Silly Dragon cuisine headcanon:
Sandwings don't need to eat much, so they usually have rather small dishes, like lizards and scorpions. What they lack in size they make up for in flavor and fragrance. They have very pungent meats and love to drown things in spices.
Icewings have very few plant based edibles, so they are concidered luxurious. They tend to eat meat straight from the kill, and use the hide as napkins.
Nightwings love dark (heh) meat, and savory, smokey flavors. They like juicy fruits too, which helps them adapt to the rainforest.
Rainwings don't eat meat, so they get their protein through nuts. They always recommend eating a talonful of nuts for every meal. They also like mushrooms, though sometimes they shove something they really shouldn't in their mouth.
Hivewings copy some Nightwing diets as well, but also enjoy some more flowery and sweet flavors on the side. They love having flower flavored drinks, and a staple of a good Hivewing chef is to have their kitchen smell like a florist.
Mudwings love raw vegetables and roots. Some mashed roots and potatoes over a nice salad alongside some gator meat is a staple part of lunch.
Seawings have unique aquaculture. Underwater spices and fruits, as many varieties of seaweed as the lettuce/spinach/Brussels sprouts plant has, edible coral, and all of it complements fish very well.
Leafwings always try to get their food without harming plants to avoid nature's wrath. Each fruit has its seed anted back in the ground once done eating, and food is never wasted. Letting your food spoil is especially taboo.
Skywings love to roast everything in sight. A slight char is concidered a good flavor, and very hot veggies like jalapenos are sprinkled on many meats for that extra fire punch
Slikwings are slow in cooking. They like to steam things in little silk pods, and take their time during meals, spending that time socialising with friends or family.
OOOOOO I LOVE THESE!
I personally have a hc that mudwings would probably eat things like cows and wild hogs over gators though, besides maybe Ice and Skywings I like to personally think that most tribes refuse to eat things seen as too similar to them, basically a very large group of Mudwings don’t like eating gators, Seawings don’t like eating whales/dolphins, etc.

Blight and Herring.
Both these guys have several different descriptions that still all get the main gist of their characters!
Blight
The main feature defining his appearance gave him his namesake. Splattered thoughtlessly across his pale, otherwise nondescript, variously gradient lime scales, are splotches of purple-brown ringed in yellow, most notably dotting his wings, snout and talons.
A pensive, mildly arrogant LeafWing professor with a painless but harmful disorder, typically lethal to males, that leaves brown stains on his scales and chips away at his membranes, shooting his wings through with pinpricks and holes, is Blight. A biology nerd specializing in entomology and botany, he works at the LeafWing Institute of Education, likes tea, salads, philosophy and spending time in dark libraries, and owns a loyal pet sun beetle named Pachnoda (whom he carries around daily on his shoulders or horns). He can be described as thoughtful, a bit melancholy, leaning sometimes off to the indifferent side and sometimes rather haughty.
While he isn't particularly friendly, he sees no time wasted in teaching someone about something he loves.
Herring
His scales are a light gray-blue, with dark overscales and dapples across his back. His horns are a dull gradient, from blue at the base to green to orange, shimmering like washed rainbow shells and bearing a resemblance to his similarly-blended wings and webs, offering many positive comments from those who stare into them. He has conch-pink underscales, and pale peach bioluminescent stripes.
A writer and a minor noble, Herring is a melancholy SeaWing honing his craft in a studio on the coastline of Pyrrhia. He enjoys long walks, hot water, serene days at the beach, and fancy gatherings (in which he, sometimes, may or may not have a bit too much to drink). His preference for air rather than sea does set him apart from the other ocean-dwelling dragons, but made pursuing his current career quite a bit easier. While living above-water, he travels to spend much of his time at events in the rebuilt Summer and Island Palaces and long-standing Deep Palace, partying amongst the other aristocrats.
He makes a good partner for conversation whatever his mood.

They met through a strange (and beautiful, they both agreed) dragon, somehow-mutual friend, Nephrite, suggesting they find each other.
