Reasons Why You Should Stop Caring What Other People Think of You.

If you always wonder what people think of you, do not worry you are not alone, We are social creatures and are normal.

I have been raised in a family and culture of a good self-image and always be careful with our actions to keep everyone happy. I wouldn't act like myself in front of new people so they won't perceive me different.

Is in human nature, that we are always concerned about what others think of us. We always wonder what people think of our clothes, hair, body, style, Facebook profile, car and the list can go on and on.

This obsession makes us fake and ignorant of our inner voice and personality. Frequently say the thing we do not mean, buy things we can't afford just to impress people.

How it all starts and why

It all starts when we are babies and continues throughout out of life until we get older. As babies and young children, we are very responsive to other people's reactions. Observe a baby and you will realise that other emotions have a big impact on their own, your actions will create a reaction in the baby. So from an early age, we have deeply embedded seeds.

In school, our minds are not mature and prepared to deal with a social complex situation. So we learn that if we perform and follow we won't be picked by others and we are safe within the group.

We go fast forward to the adulthood when we start being mature being and start forming our own opinions and thought. However, often these opinions are silenced by our very own nature of following and blending in with others, this is a habit picked since childhood.

People are afraid to speak their minds as they believe their image will be perceived as a different individual that doesn't fit in.

Reasons to stop caring and live your life the way you want.

When you live your life based on other people's opinions you slowly 'kill' your inner self and give up your authenticity. By doing this you will never be the true you and never live up to your potential this will lead to an unhappy living and future dictated by other opinions.

Do you want to be a leader or a follower? People who let themself guided by their inner voices tend to be great leaders and be innovative. Followers tend to never do a thing of great importance.

There will always be people that will disagree with your opinions, so why not have your real opinions. This will give you higher self-respect for being your person and upholding your values and opinions.

To achieve a higher level of self-respect you should live on your terms, as a bonus this trait will give you more happiness and confidence in your life.

Your values are the most important so try to put them first, if you do not you are not developing or doing any good. Pursue your dreams and agenda, the world does not need more 'yes' men.

People will always judge no matter what you do or how good you did it. So just being yourself, is empowering

Most people do not even care what you do anyway. The reason being is that they are too wrapped in their own drama and probably too worried about what you think of them.
