The Best Tools and Resources for Learning Japanese at Home
Learning Japanese is an incredible journey. It opens doors to a rich culture, new opportunities, and deeper connections with the world. But let’s be honest, it can also feel a little overwhelming at first. There are countless books, apps, and videos out there, and choosing where to start is no easy task. Ahhh my exams are finally over! This semester was so difficult for me, doing a full-time internship and also doing part-time teaching jobs along with studying. It really was hard on me, i did try my best though, and I'm glad it's over. I re-joined the internship again today and got a chance to attend a conference. It was great. I'm glad that i made it through all this.

STUDY THOUGHTS
Alright, when it comes to self-studying topics for fun, I always have this dilemma: "Should I really study topic X if I'm going to learn it next semester/year?". At first, I thought, "No, why would I? I'm only wasting my time by learning this when I could be learning something else". So I've always had this sort of fear of learning topics that I was already going to learn in school. But I think the deeper root of that issue was from me being afraid of being bored in class due to the small amount of new material for me to learn.
But when I think about it now, I should simply go ahead and learn those topics if I am interested in them. For example, I've been delaying self-learning Calc 2 a lot because I knew I was going to learn it anyway in a formal setting. But just because I am already going to learn it, it doesn't mean I shouldn't now.
If I learn it now, it would actually provide me with a better base when it comes to learning Calc 2 properly. It would probably lead me to opportunities that I wouldn't have thought about before if I were getting introduced to Calc 2 from scratch. So instead I could probably ask my mentors for extra assignments or research topics which would then increase my range of knowledge towards Calc 2 and possibly upcoming topics down the road.
But yeah idk, I've been having these "limiting beliefs" for some time and it's pretty annoying

Review:
Feels good to get that done ahead of time. My labs don't start till the end of May, so now I have some time to kill. I think I am going to start my focus on passing Comptia Sec+ exam (it's been on my todo for a while) and putting more direct effort in learning Korean.
Thanks to those who watched me complete the Bootcamp!

I am back! The summer was extremely boring. Although there was one interesting thing that happened. I went to the Himalayas to collect some preliminary data for my dissertation. I am not even sure if I am going to do this eventually but since it's my own culture, I felt really called to investigate the spiritual possession practices in Uttarakhand Himalayas. For that I went back home to observe the practices in real time and I was extremely grateful to have had the opportunity of seeing it happen after 6 years. I wrote two blogs that describe my observations there and they're posted on my wordpress account. The new semester started in August. It was going slow but we have our first sessional exams from 18th September so I've to start studying for them. I have also gotten back to reading and I finished normal people yesterday. Can't wait to update you guys about my study progress and the insights I get from reading.
