Roadmap to Learn Full Verbal: Your Guide to Mastering the Art of Words (Without Losing Your Mind)

Let’s be honest — tackling verbal skills can feel like trying to tame a wild beast. Grammar rules popping up like surprise quizzes, vocabulary that sounds like it’s from another planet, and reading comprehension passages longer than your last Netflix binge. But don’t worry, I’m here to guide you through this jungle with a roadmap that’s almost as fun as a Sunday brunch.
Step 1: Build Your Vocabulary — One Word at a Time
No, you don’t need to memorize the entire dictionary overnight (unless you’re a superhero). Start with high-frequency words and use flashcards, apps, or heck, even sticky notes on your fridge. Make it a game — challenge yourself to use a new word every day. “Obfuscate”? Perfect. Try it in a sentence before your morning coffee!
Step 2: Master Grammar Like a Pro (or at Least Like You Know What You’re Doing)
Think of grammar as the rules of a board game. You don’t want to flip the table midway through. Focus on the basics — subject-verb agreement, tenses, and common pitfalls like “their,” “there,” and “they’re.” And remember: commas are tiny ninjas that can change the whole meaning of a sentence.
Step 3: Practice Reading with Purpose
Don’t just read for the sake of reading. Pick articles, essays, or books that challenge you but don’t make you want to scream. Take notes, underline key points, and ask yourself: “What’s the author really saying?” This will sharpen your comprehension and critical thinking — skills that are gold in any verbal test.
Step 4: Write, Rewrite, Repeat
You learn language by using it. Write essays, summaries, or even tweets (because brevity is its own art). Get feedback, edit ruthlessly, and watch your skills bloom.
Bonus Tip: Don’t Fear Mistakes — They’re Your Best Teachers Every slip-up is a step closer to mastery. So, embrace the oops moments. They make for great stories later.
Ready to start your verbal journey? Grab your coffee, your notebook, and let’s make words your new best friends. Trust me — future you will thank you (and maybe even buy you a celebratory donut).

cherry blossoms

the roads are lined with cherry blossoms right now,
creating a beautiful pink path.
But soon,
it will all be over,
as cherry blossoms only stay in full bloom for a short time.
Today, it feels like we’re in the middle of spring.
The cherry blossoms are starting to fall, and the roads are lightly pink with petals, but they’re no longer sparkling like before.

Past Tense in English Grammar
Have you ever wanted to tell a story about what already happened? Maybe you shared a memory, described your day, or talked about something that occurred years ago. If so, then guess what — you were already using the past tense!
Let’s break down the past tense in English grammar with clear rules, examples, and how you can use it like a pro. 👇
youtube
🕰️ What Is Past Tense?
Past tense is a verb form that describes actions or events that happened in the past. Simple, right? Whether it happened yesterday, last year, or just a moment ago — it all counts as past tense.
Example:
I watched a movie last night. 🎬
They played cricket on Sunday. 🏏
These actions are done and over. That’s what the past tense is for.
🧠 Types of Past Tense
There are four main types of past tense in English:
1️⃣ Simple Past
Used for completed actions in the past.
Structure: Subject + verb (past form)
Example: She visited Paris.
2️⃣ Past Continuous
Used for ongoing actions in the past.
Structure: Subject + was/were + verb(-ing)
Example: They were studying all night.
3️⃣ Past Perfect
Used when one past action happened before another.
Structure: Subject + had + past participle
Example: He had finished dinner before the guests arrived.
4️⃣ Past Perfect Continuous
Used for actions that started in the past and continued for some time before another past action.
Structure: Subject + had been + verb(-ing)
Example: I had been working there for two years before I quit.
✅ When to Use Past Tense
Use past tense when:
You're telling a story from the past 🏞️
You're writing a biography ✍️
You're describing something you experienced 🤔
Examples:
We traveled to Goa last summer.
He didn’t attend the meeting.
Did you call her yesterday?
🧩 Past Tense Rules You Should Know
Regular verbs usually end in -ed
walk → walked
jump → jumped
Irregular verbs change forms
go → went
eat → ate
take → took
For negatives and questions in simple past, use did
I didn’t go to school.
Did you watch the movie?
🌟 Final Thoughts
The past tense is your storytelling superpower. Whether you're writing essays, journaling your thoughts, or having deep conversations — the past tense helps you share what once was.
Once you understand the structure and get comfortable with regular and irregular verbs, it becomes second nature.
So next time you talk about yesterday, last week, or your childhood memories — you’ll know exactly what to say, and how to say it ✨

Routine for improving my listening skil
youtube
【Solo Life in Japan】Still getting used to living in Tokyo 🛋🌱
Recently, I’ve been focusing on improving my listening skills.
One way I’m learning is by watching YouTube videos spoken in English by foreigners.
Lately, I’ve been watching a channel featuring an Australian woman who begin to live in Japan.
She talks about her daily life in English.
I admire her because she continues working for her Australian company while living abroad.
That kind of lifestyle is something many Japanese people can’t easily do, since working abroad with a Japanese company can be very strict and limited.
