if so consider signing up for The Angel Card Project. It's a holiday card initiative that I found on Facebook a few years ago. The founder/leader is a very sweet southern man named Mark who lives with his husband in Mississippi. They have coordinated sending cards out to thousands of people over the years. Though the group is more Christian-leaning, I will tell you from experience that when you get the master list of names (people to send cards to) there are a ton of non-religious folks who are submitted to receive cards. Generic season's greetings cards and messages are more than welcome.

You don't actually have to use your real return address - if you join the group on Facebook, Mark lists his own address and you can use that as your return address, or just leave it blank.

the submissions page is still open if you want to submit someone in your life - think people who have struggled in the last year, could use a little extra love in their mailbox, etc. the only caveat: this is open for folks living in the USA and Canada, but you can send cards to USA/Canadian folks even if you're not living in those countries.

anyway if you like sending mail (you can just send 1 card, I know postage is pricey), consider helping out. I'm not a mod or an admin of the project, just a happy contributor.

also, you don't have to join the Facebook group. You can just sign up through the website.

Upgrading the 'polaroid magnet' idea of 2019 for 2023's Xmas card trades, these ones are made from wood and use actual magnets! Luxurious! |D All the poses are also referenced from actual party photos i've taken of other people, to add to the candid vibe lol.

The dreamcatcher is kind of a gag gift (yes the craft project i reffed here) for some friends. Since they don't have the ability to fight their nightmares i have offered to [try and] do it for them XD

Made from: Wooden craft polaroid (plus some backing MDF pieces), magnet, misc decorating items (glitter, wooden shapes, gel pens, paint etc). The dreamcatcher is just a storebought one with laminated paper mes wired to it

I keep, like, every card I get sent -- letters, sometimes envelopes. and I have been running out of room on my fridge for them for years. I was looking for a cork board or something that I could put up somewhere but I found these which are even cooler! they are like these stick on felt strips that are thick enough that you can pin things to them and they come in a bunch of different colors and shapes! ta-da! I took some of the pressure off my fridge already just by turning the side of this shelving unit into a little display area!!!!!

Winter Holiday Cards!

I had a lot of fun sending cards out last year, and (almost) all of them reached their destination, so let's do it again this year. Please fill out the form below if you want me to send you a card -- for any winter holiday(s) you may be celebrating or just because.

(Cards will be coming from the US, but if I can't send you one or if you're uncomfortable giving your address out, feel free to fill this out with an email address or online form of contact instead, and I'll write something out and send you a snapshot instead? I encourage everyone to volunteer in some way in nursing homes and other care facilities, especially around the holidays. But I am particularly urging any Christian followers and mutuals to consider volunteering even a little time to spend with the sick and elderly who are in care facilities.
