AU where Azula is shipwrecked and stranded on Kyoshi Island at age 8 and grows up as a Kyoshi warrior.

Hello, anon!!

1. Instead of Azulon calling for Zuko’s head, he calls for Azula’s. He sees how much more this would hurt Ozai and, in his mind, if Ozai and Ursa had one prodigy they can have another. (What a great grandpa). Azula is terrified and fears that her mom wouldn’t help her so she flees the palace. She gets down to the shipyard and sneaks aboard a ship. She thinks they’ll just take her to some island in the Fire Nation where she can lay low but the ship is sailing towards the Earth Kingdom. Sometime during the trip, they got caught in a massive storm and Azula is still hiding below. The ship is torn apart and Azula clings to whatever floating piece of wood she can find, passing out soon after. When she wakes up, she hears voices and sees some people in green clothing. (Voice: Is she dead? Voice: I don’t think so. Where do you think she came from? Voice: Girls, back off! We need to get her to the healer. Voice: She’s an outsider. Voice: She’s a child! Azula: Mom? Zuzu? Voice: Not mom. It’ll be okay. Just breathe). Azula passed back out soon after.

2. When Azula wakes up, she finds that she’s in a small wooden structure with a couple beds. She’s been to enough peasant villages to know that this is probably a healer’s hut. She’s also alone for the time being so she takes the opportunity to look around and finds a lot of objects from the Earth Kingdom as well as a bunch of stuff honoring Avatar Kyoshi—a treasonous thing in the Fire Nation—so Azula quickly puts together that she’s in the Earth Kingdom she just doesn’t know where exactly. (Healer: Someone’s anxious to get up. Azula: Sorry. I wasn’t trying to steal like some common thief. Healer: I didn’t think you were, dear. You’re just being curious. It’s good to see you up and about. Azula: Yes. I-Where am I? Healer: This is Kyoshi Island. Azula: Where is that? Healer: You're a very curious child, aren't you? We can discuss the island a bit more after you've had something to eat.) Azula is brought food and water while she's being nursed back to health. After about a week or so, Kyoshi Warriors and the village leader come to see her and ask who she is. Azula, having just escaped one person who wants to kill her, lies and says she's a war child who was abandoned. The warriors have no reason to doubt her and they don't want to send her back to the Earth Kingdom by herself so they allow her to stay.

3. Once she's well enough to walk through the village, Azula is told that she'll have to work if she wants a place here. Azula agrees because, in her mind, she's assuming that she'll escape very soon. Sadly it's not the best working conditions since the other girls her age avoid her for being half Fire Nation and there aren't a lot of other kids to hang out with on the island so Azula is mostly left by herself. One day, Azula notices everyone going to steal steamed buns from the kitchen. The village leader catches them and demands to know what they're doing. Before Suki can give some half baked lie, Azula rushes in and says that she asked them to meet her in the kitchen because she doesn't know how to make a lot of food from Kyoshi Island and wanted them to show her how. The leader buys it and leaves them be. (Suki: Why'd you help us? Azula, grabbing the basket of steamed buns from her: Mine. Suki: Hey! You can't have all of them! Azula: You would have gotten caught if not for me. I deserve all of them. Suki: No, you don't! You have to share! Azula: Why should I? Suki:....We'll let you join our club and learn really cool fighting moves. Azula:....What kind of fighting moves are we talking about? Suki: The super secret ones that only people from our island know. Azula: I suppose that's a decent trade for a few steamed buns.). And that's how Azula officially becomes a member of their little group. As time goes on, Azula comes up with reason after reason for why she doesn't escape. Finally, after celebrating her tenth birthday on the island, Azula realizes that she doesn't want to leave. She likes her friends, she likes how the adults treat her with kindness even when she makes a mistake, she likes that the older girls are kind but firm when they correct her---no fireballs that she has to dodge this time---and she gets to fall asleep next to her friends without fear that someone is going to kill her or stab her in the back for political power. Kyoshi Island has become her new home.

4. Years pass and Azula remains on the island. She, Suki and their group become Kyoshi Warriors and get the war paint, dresses and fans that go along with it. Azula and Suki are by far the most skilled fighters of the group and constantly fight one another mostly for fun but also to show off. One day, the two are fighting when they hear a loud animal roaring and see something land on the beach. They make their way out there to find the Gaang and capture them. Azula is not a huge fan of Sokka, especially since he’s taking all of Suki’s time, but she puts up with it long enough for them to leave the island. When Zuko arrives, Azula recognizes him instantly and, because of that, she really relies on her makeup and dress to keep her hidden. (Although Zuko swears one of the Kyoshi Warriors called him Zuzu). A couple weeks after Team Avatar leaves, Suki wants to travel and help other people which Azula is very much against. The other warriors still don’t know who she is and she fears that leaving the island will be how they discover that. Suki does talk her into it and the Kyoshi Warriors leave the island.

5. Since Azula is on Suki’s side, she’s never captured and they help Appa get to Ba Sing Se and reunited with Aang. While in the city, Azula runs into Zuko without her makeup on and he recognizes her. Azula ends up returning to his and uncle’s apartment and admits everything to them from Azulon ordering her death to her life on Kyoshi Island. Zuko tells her that when she disappeared she was declared dead a few days later. The palace mourned—he and Ursa mourned the most—but Ozai was eventually named Fire Lord. (Zuko: I-I still can’t believe you’re alive! Azula: I live to amaze. Zuko: Mom will really be amazed when she sees you and dad- Azula: Woah, hold on. I’m not going back. Zuko: What? What are you talking about? Azula: My place is here with the Kyoshi Warriors. Zuko: You’re the Fire Nation princess. Azula: Was. Was the Fire Nation princess. Now I’m Azula: the Kyoshi Warrior.) Azula ends up without much of a choice when Ozai arrives (working with Long Feng because he would definitely work with Ozai). Zuko doesn’t get the credit for capturing the Avatar but he does get credit for returning Ozai’s prodigy to him. When Ozai takes back both his children and captures the city, he kinda brings Azula in front of everyone who’s captured (including the Kyoshi Warriors) and reveals her as the Fire Princess. Suki and the other warriors to see Azula as the Fire Princess. (Azula almost breaks down when she sees how betrayed and angry Suki looks). She’s taken away before she’s allowed to explain anything to her friend. (Ozai: Azula! Azula: Father, I- Ozai: Come. Azula: But- Ozai: Did I stutter? Follow me or that little group of peasants you were running around with is ash. Azula: No! No, don’t hurt them! Ozai: Pathetic. You’ve become weak, Azula. You’ve allowed yourselves attachments. Don’t worry we will fix that.) Azula is taken away by Ozai and (kinda) Zuko while Ba Sing Se burns around her.

🍓 ⇢ how did you get into writing fanfiction? it started with me being a dedicated reader on wattpad and tumblr, falling into so many different stories and getting swept away by them. i was on Tumblr for about a year, just as a reader, but then i stumbled upon the writings of @ellecdc and @moonstruckme. their stories were crafted with so much heart and creativity that i couldn’t resist giving it a try myself. they made it look like magic, and that’s when i felt like maybe t could create some magic of my own too.

🍄 ⇢ share a headcanon for one of your favorite ships or pairings: i have this headcanon for wolfstar that hits me right in the heart. remus has these restless nights sometimes—nights when the world feels too heavy, and he’s caught in his own thoughts, even if he doesn’t say it. sirius always seems to know, though, and without a word, he’ll reach over and tangle their fingers together, giving remus’s hand the gentlest squeeze. it's a simple gesture, but it’s like sirius telling him, “i’m here; you’re not alone.” and now i just made myself cry and smile like a crazy person 😔

❄️ ⇢ what's your dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best? i’ve always dreamed of a series where the reader is a bakery owner and roommates with doctor!remus, teacher!james, and chef!sirius. each marauders-era character would have a different job, and the series would just follow their chaotic, loving lives with plenty of humor, banter, and maybe even a little angst. ideally, i’d have to write it myself (or collab with someone!), but if i were to choose someone else, i’d definitely go to you, @ellecdc, or @lupinsweater—because you three are basically AU royalty!

🦋 ⇢ share something that's been on your heart and mind lately: okay, this might get a little sad, so heads up. lately, I’ve been feeling insecure and just… not good about myself. i posted a rant about it recently, but it’s been on my mind a lot. i keep catching myself wondering if I’ll ever feel truly pretty or beautiful. some comments from my friends (who i love dearly) made me realize that, as much as i adore romance and the idea of love, maybe i'm just a hopeless romantic who might never get to experience the kind of love I dream about. i hate to ramble like this, but it's been weighing on me a bit. sorry for unloading it here, and thanks for listening.

So many beautiful possibilities here but I gotta go with the iconoclasts <3 I think if you put them together Kasander would absolutely follow Vio around and bother him to teach them Aeldari signs and gestures. They want to know!! It’s interesting to them, just like the psychic communication is interesting to them. And they want to communicate with him and with the xenos they encounter.

I think in general they’d be the kind of person who was hard to shake- they see in him something of a mirror of their own situation. Their mutations have often led to them being treated with the suspicion of a xenos, and yet he’s lived the life of one despite a far more human appearance. And his life seems to have been a liberated one suddenly curtailed by being pulled into the Imperium, something they feel strong empathy for. There’s curiosity there, and kinship, but also a strong sense of protectiveness, perhaps.

Asperia’s birth was foreseen centuries in the past by Ismene von Valancius, the bastard prophetess of the von Valancius family. Ismene’s machinations would ultimately lead to a major purge of the family for heresy which it barely survived, but it mattered not, for this too was foreseen. Asperia’s descent can be traced through Ismene’s half-brother, a psyker who was claimed by the Tithe and spent much of his life away from the family.

The descendants of this line, created by the cursed sorceress’s meddling, would ultimately become a voidship clan in the lower decks of a great imperial cruiser and become known for distinct patterns of mutation and a strong propensity for sorcery. Asperia is the last of this clan- while the awakening of their extraordinary psychic powers was a violent and destructive event, the ultimate demise of the house came at the hands of enforcers who exterminated the remainder soon after for their genetic impurities and sorcery. But in the midst of this Asperia, the strongest child the line had seen since Ismene von Valancius, was taken away on a Black Ship, never to know the fate of those left behind.

Gate

It’s in my “the canon timeline of FR is fucking stupid” heart that Asperia wasn’t “born”/imbued with life in the divine flesh until Bhaal’s revival, so that for me is 27 years before the start of the game. Don’t ask me about any canon events in FR right now that didn’t happen in a gate game. I’m scared. I’m not parsing that right now. Maybe I’ll fix my shit later but not now. Asperia’s birth is one of many divine signs that the Lord of Murder hath returned to the world after so many decades of death and dormancy. And of course, the day of Asperia’s birth is also the day of Ismene’s death: publicly assassinated by the last of her accursed kin.

The Bhaal cult, only barely slithering by in the palest shadow of existence, has no capacity to care for their infant overlord. Within hours of the birth Bhaal’s emissary Scleritas has spirited them away and gifted them to a humble family in the Lower City, where Asperia will be raised for about the next five years before being reclaimed by a much more stable cult.

hc + 🚶‍♂️ for a habit-themed headcanon

Gate time. Kasander’s stance with rapier is fucking awful. Their lethality with the weapon comes from a lot of compensation via divine instinct and ability, and all of that comes out to being “better than average but not exactly extraordinary.” The reason for this, of course, is that rapier wasn’t a weapon Asperia was ever given much training with. It’s a pretty weapon, an honorable dueling weapon. It’s not the tool of an assassin or someone who engages in combat far beyond the scope of a duel. What Kasander’s body remembers is how to use edged blades and small piercing daggers, and how they stand tends to reflect how they would have once held Gula or Nausea, Asperia’s shortswords. Wyll spent a lot of time trying to help them learn to use rapier properly, and his coaching is to thank for pretty much all of their improvement. Shields they had to learn entirely from the ground up. Again, thank Wyll for the help.

one night, maybe they're watching a movie in lottie's bed, laura lee falls asleep and of course lottie doesn't wake her up... accidentally falling asleep in each other's bed becomes a very common occurrence

lottie would know, so so soon, that she wants to spend the rest of her life with laura lee. everyone will call her crazy but she will suggest next semester they move into an apartment together like the day after they finally get together officially

Sokkla living in the south pole and vacationing in Ember Island head canons?

1. A year after the war, Sokka went to visit Azula in the asylum and learned about the truly horrible conditions there. Azula assumed he would do nothing except laugh, especially when he learned that she couldn’t control her firebending anymore, but he comes back with Zuko that night and Zuko is arguing with the staff until he practically loses his voice to let Azula out. Much to Azula’s shock, they do. (Azula: Why….why help me? Sokka: Because no one deserves to suffer like this). Azula doesn’t want to return to the palace because it holds too many memories for her. She stays there for a week and is constantly hearing her mother’s voice everywhere and thinks she sees Ozai every once in a while. She doesn’t say anything to Sokka or Zuko because she doesn’t want to risk being sent back to the asylum but they can tell something is wrong. Sokka, having to return to the South Pole, suggests that Azula come with him for some time away from the palace. She agrees and they head off the next week.

2. The people of the South Pole aren’t overly welcoming to the daughter of the Fire Lord. A couple people even call her the crazy princess because of stories they’re heard. (Sokka: I’m so sorry. I didn’t- Azula: In the asylum, I wouldn’t be able to move my arms and legs all day. They can call me whatever they want as long as I get to stay here.) It’s not a good mentality but it’s the one Azula has. Kanna and Hakoda are the only ones who give her a chance upon first meeting her. Kanna is very much a grandma to Azula which, since Azula never had a grandparent, is very weird to her. Azula is stiff around Hakoda and doesn’t really know what he’ll do. It takes her time to realize he won’t hit her or yell at her for failing a chore or job. Over time, she proves herself to be more and more useful. Everyone kind of assumed she’d be like the Fire Nation or Earth Kingdom nobility they’d heard of and not want to do anything, but Azula is helping fish, make igloos, make spears, hunting, etc she really is putting in the work to show the tribe that she’s not the crazy princess and it works. By the end of her first year there, Azula has been accepted by the Southern Water Tribe and, by the end of her first year there, her hallucinations have stopped.

3. Much to Sokka’s shock, Azula’s favorite chore to help with is watching the kids. Most of the kids flocked to Sokka when they first arrived because he was the one who was their main babysitter/‘trainer’ and they want to hear stories from him. They’re scared of Azula when she first arrives but after she tells them some stories of her experience in the war (Sokka: The Firelord had no chance! I raised my weapon and- Azula: Am I misremembering? Sokka: It totally happened! Azula: You got no where near my father on the Day of Black Sun. Sokka: Yeah. We fought and subdued you. Azula, barking out a laugh: Oh? That’s what happened? I remember it a bit different. Sokka, laughing: Nope. That’s exactly what happened. Little boy: What are you talking about? Azula: May I? Before you poison these children’s minds. Sokka: You’re no fun.) and, upon getting full control of her bending back, Azula shows off different shapes and styles of her bending to the kids, who are mesmerized by the light blue flames. Sokka has gone to visit Azula numerous times when she’s watching the children and she’s always having the best time. (Sokka: It’s so weird to see you with kids. Azula, shrugging: I’m good at everything. Including watching children.) It’s actually when Sokka goes to get Azula and bring her back for dinner that he asks her out on a date for the first time. News travels fast through the village that she said yes because one of the kids hears and tells everyone. (It only took a year😂)

4. Azula and Sokka’s dates quickly turn into spending almost everyday together. They grow closer and closer as a couple and start to make more and more progress within the tribe by helping them get back on their feet and advocating for the Southern Water Tribe’s place with other nations. Working together, and after many years (10 to be exact), the Southern Water Tribe is stronger than ever before. At the 8 year marker, Sokka takes Azula out one night, during the southern lights display, and asks her to marry him. Azula happily agrees but that night admits to him that she does miss home. Sokka suggests having the wedding there and Azula does agree but inside she feels like it isn’t enough to just do that. While preparing for the wedding, Azula grows sick and asks to be examined by Katara. (Katara: Good news! Azula: It’s just a bug? Katara: I wouldn’t call my future niece or nephew a bug. Azula: I…. Katara: You’re pregnant). Azula has a mini breakdown then because she knows a baby will mean remaining in one location for stability and she can’t ask Sokka to stay away from the South Pole for the next 6-7 years, especially when he’s going to be the next chief, but at the same time she doesn’t want to stay in the South Pole continuously for 6-7 years. (Katara: This would be a great conversation to have with your soon to be husband.)

5. That night, Azula does talk with Sokka about the baby and how she’s feeling. They don’t really know what to do for a while until Sokka comes to her one day with an idea. Live in the South Pole and vacation on Ember Island. Aang is in the South Pole all the time, so when he’s there they could ask him if they could borrow Appa and fly to Ember Island. That way, Azula gets a taste of home but Sokka doesn’t have to be gone for more than a week or two. (Azula: I love it). When the wedding is done and the baby(a boy) born, that’s exactly what they do. They go back and forth between the South Pole and Ember Island both with and without their son. Azula loves bringing Hakoda(their son) to Ember Island because it’s one of the few places where she and her family were last happy so being there with her new family lets her make her memories. Sokka takes the time to fall asleep under the sun (to the day he dies he says Azula let him cook one time and get a sunburn all over his body and Azula denies the whole thing). Hakoda loves the ice cream there and will always order cherry flavored to go along with his mom. Sokka gets dragged along on their quests for cherry flavored ice cream because it’s not always at certain stores and he’s a fan of chocolate so he’s fine wherever they go. Sadly though, Hakoda is a fan of the Ember Island Players so Azula and Sokka have to suffer through their plays. (Sokka: I blame your mother. Azula: You’re probably right.) When Azula gets pregnant with their second child, she ends up giving birth on the island because they mistimed when she was due. The baby girl is named Ursa because she’s born when they’re at one of the plays.

Im down to do either. Lately I’ve been writing more headcanon type stuff but I’ve done both in the past.

As for how many, you could ask for as many as you’d like. Obviously the more the longer it’ll take me but also the more fun for me.

My only thing is that I’ve had issues with people requesting the same prompt with other writers. I saw the same request (literally word for word) on at least three other fic blogs after I had gotten it and wrote something for it.

Okay, I’m gonna go ahead and turn this into a college, no powers modern AU because I can, so we’ll say that the Straw Hat crew all attends East Blue University and despite all having different majors (I’m not a hundred percent sure about all of them, but Usopp is definitely a creative writing major and I think Star would be something like psychology or sociology), they all share a class together taught by Professor Shanks, who’s the most popular teacher at the school.

At some point all of them get stuck in a group together for a project, which pretty much no one but Luffy and kind of Usopp are happy about for various reasons. Star definitely isn’t happy about it because she’s been doing her best to avoid social interaction for the two years she’s been at this school, and she’s not happy at all about being forced to do a project with an over-excitable freshman and the most annoying boy she’s ever met.

(Eventually, though, the more time their group spends together the closer they get, until they actually start calling each other friends and hanging out outside of classes and Nami is able to bully Zoro into asking Star out, even if it takes a lot of convincing.)

Star’s still Been Through It™️ in this AU, but it’s a little bit different - her dad went a little nuts after her mom died and she basically had to raise herself because he spent most of his time either gone from the house entirely or plastered drunk when he was there, and as a result Star refuses to let herself get close to anyone because she’s too used to relying only on herself. Of course, Luffy eventually works his friendship magic on her and this changes, but it does take a little bit.

Obviously Zoro doesn’t have his same swords in this universe, but he is the star of the school’s fencing team (which Mihawk is the coach of). He wants to become a world-renowned fencing champion, and though Star teases him about how dedicated he is to the sport, she still comes to all of his matches after the friend group comes together and makes an extra effort to cheer and support him after they start dating.

CANON DIVERGENCE

All girls are canon divergent to an extent. They also follow the lore on @demonsfate​ - meaning that will always be their “default” Jin for now (there aren’t rly any other Jin writers at the time of this!) and they all follow the lore that Jin wasn’t responsible for the war, but his Devil was. This is important for Jun, Asuka and Alisa’s depictions.

I tend to depict Jun as she was portrayed in earlier games than how she is in Tekken 8. (Sorry, but she just feels different to me in T8) my Jun will be more stoic than T8′s depiction (smiling less, showing less obvious emotions) & whilst an understanding woman, she can be pushed past her limits. Although I will sometimes use screencaps from T8 for icons, I try to stick to her Tag 2 model for icons (as she also looked more like how I pictured Jun in that game)

Jun was also NEVER Unknown in canon, nor had she ever become her once. Although I will write Unknown, she is always, just like in the games, an AU version of Jun outside of canon. I’m just willing to write Unknown for fun, is all.

Asuka, meanwhile - is VERY canon divergent. I depict Asuka as important to the plot. She helped Jin overcome his devil. Asuka has purifying powers and is aware of them, she spent a good part of the war discovering them, which helped Jin take back control during the war.

Josie may be a bit headcanon based due to having limited lore. 

Alisa will have some headcanons that may differ from canon, I want to really focus on her existence as a robot.

I’m looking for an Undertale Multiverse (UTMV) roleplay, and am most interested in Cherryberry or Killermare, but I’m open to other ships too. My version of Cherryberry is already neck-deep in headcanons, so there would probably be a lot to discuss beforehand. I’m more picky with which pairings get a lot of focus and development, and there’s a lot of newer characters I’m not super familiar with, but that doesn’t mean I’m not open to new ideas!

For Cherryberry, I can play either Red or Blue, and for Killermare, I’d prefer to play Killer. I enjoy juggling multiple characters in the story, not just the central pairing; it would be great if you could handle a few side characters, too, but I'm comfortable managing most of them. Also, I LOVE seeing non-Sans-template OCs, Undyne- and Alphys-templates especially, so if you have any of those, let me know! They could be really useful as side characters!

I have a lot of plot ideas for Cherryberry, including one after a Reset and some fun tropey scenarios like a pirate AU. For Killermare, though… On that one, I’m interested in a more canon-adjacent scenario, focused on character development. If you have more plot ideas, I’m all ears! Fluff is good, but it can’t be the whole story; there’s gotta be some sour to balance the sweet. Oh, and NSFW is welcome, especially in lighter plots.

I like angst, as well as horror - it’s my favorite genre - so we could be getting into some pretty dark stuff. Violence and mild gore don’t faze me much, and I’m not opposed to major character death, as long as it’s planned and discussed ahead of time. Really, my only hard limits are that I will not roleplay any incestuous pairings, I will not write anything explicit with underage characters, and I will not pair a minor character with an adult one. I will not be writing out scenes of sexual assault or abuse, but these topics can be brought up as long as they’re discussed first.
