The Gang React to You Saying You Hate Them

As a disclaimer, I'm going to say that these are reactions to you saying it and meaning it, not just being silly or dramatic. However, I'm also kind of assuming in most cases that this is NOT you saying "I am terminating our relationship entirely and this hate thing is a permanent situation."

The rest of the characters are below the cut.

Lucifer

"Very well. You're entitled to your opinion."

Depending on the situation, he might just shrug it off. It isn't like he hasn't dealt with his fair share of unfair whining from people who are upset with him. It would probably take a pretty emotionally charged situation for him to actually take you seriously.

In that case, he probably wouldn't quite know what would be best to do. He'd give you your space, but generally speaking, his demeanor wouldn't be significantly different. If things remain tense for more than a few days, he'll probably attempt to do the mature thing and sit down with you for a conversation to talk through your differences.

Mammon

"Pfft! No ya don't!"

Stage 1. Denial. You're so full of it. You couldn't possibly hate him, the Great Mammon, the first demon you ever made a pact with. You're just blowing off some steam. You'll get over it in a minute or two.

Stage 2. Anger. It's been a minute or two. You aren't backing down. Well, whatever! He isn't gonna sit around and let some whiny human talk shit about him! So he's going to maturely stomp to his room and maturely slam the door and maturely turn up some music obnoxiously loud.

Stage 3. Bargaining. Brooding has done whatever good it might have done, so he'll start to think of ways to change your mind about hating him. He's really an awesome guy, so it shouldn't be that hard. Obviously, the best way to let someone know you care is by spending money on them. So he'll go out on the town with a credit card and max it out on objects that are very pretty and shiny but really aren't your taste. (The fact that Mammon's taste is not the same as everyone else's taste mystifies him.)

Stage 4. Depression. The shopping trip having earned him nothing but abuse from Lucifer, he'll spend some time cooped up in his room and mope and sulk but definitely not cry, because how pathetic do you think he is? He ain't cryin' over one puny human!

Stage 5. Acceptance? Wait just a minute. You're so full of it. You couldn't possibly hate him, the Great Mammon, the first demon you ever made a pact with. He should stop sulking and go talk to you. Definitely not to beg you to forgive him or anything, but maybe if you squinted, it might look like that. Please don't hate him. Please?

Leviathan

"...I guess I should have known."

This is one of the choices that leads you straight to a bad ending. Ignoring him is one thing. Teasing him is another thing. Snapping at him when you're annoyed hurts, but he can justify it. But if you tell Levi you hate him, it will take a monumental amount of effort to undo that damage.

He'll probably assume you've always hated him, and that your friendliness was all an act. He won't be willing to take you at your word if you if you try and tell him that you didn't mean it, because how is he supposed to know that you aren't lying this time?

Satan

If he's (relatively) calm:

"You don't actually mean that. You sound like a child."

His reaction is a little bit like Lucifer's in this case; he'll leave you alone for awhile and not try to keep up the conversation. He won't really believe you actually hate him either. But he is a lot more insecure than Lucifer, so there's a part of him that nags at him... What if they actually hate you? He'll probably be irritable and difficult to approach when those thoughts are especially prevalent. Unfortunately, this is the sort of situation where Satan is immobilized by conflicting thoughts on what's going on, so it will probably be up to you to start a conversation and talk about whatever happened.

If he's very angry:

"Get out of here if you don't want to get hurt."

Whether that's a threat or a warning can be up to interpretation. I imagine that, as the Avatar of Wrath, there's a part of him that feeds on hate, so if Satan was a different sort of character, he'd say something like 'You fool! You're only increasing my power level!' But Satan being Satan, he'll spend some time in whatever room you've left him in and trash it before he calms down, feels extremely ashamed, sulks and/or broods for awhile at a complete loss for how to fix things without rolling over and looking completely pathetic, and, quite possibly, works himself up into another burst of rage from sheer frustration.

Ultimately, he'll probably be more comfortable talking things out through texts than in person (or starting the conversation with a text, then speaking face to face).

Asmodeus

"Hahaha... What...?"

He won't believe you for a second! Partly because, silly, of course you don't hate him, but also because his worldview does not allow for the possibility that someone he cares about might hate him. If he even considers the possibility that you might possibly, hypothetically mean it, he's in for an entire, earth-shattering identity crisis.

If you don't apologize pretty quickly or at least amend the statement to something he can accept, Asmo will head up to his room and hole up in there for awhile, obsessively tracking his social media accounts and pampering himself in the bathroom. You're lying, though. Look at this face! It's impossible to truly hate a face as beautiful as his.

Beelzebub

"Oh... Sorry..."

First he'll look like a deer in the headlights, and then he'll look like a kicked puppy. If he understands what led you to say this, he'll try and fix it, but if he doesn't, he will... (Select an answer below.)

A) Play video games with Levi. B) Go clubbing with Asmo. C) Eat. D) Learn to break dance.

If you guessed C) Eat, then you've been paying attention during your Obey Me! lessons.

And honestly. Honestly! Why would you say something like that? Maybe he's not your favorite brother, but we all know it's simply not possible to actually hate Beel. We all know you're full of it. So knock it off.

Belphie

"...Beel, did you hear something?"

Yep, Belphie is going to pull out all the pettiness he can scrounge up. He believes that the best defense is a good offense, and he's a pro. He'll act haughty and unbothered, ignoring you and looking entirely unbothered between sulking sessions under the covers.

Pettiness aside, you have, knowingly or otherwise, tapped into a source of deep anxiety in your relationship with Belphie. He has not forgotten the whole...incident that took place when you freed him from the attic. He knows that, reasonably, you probably should hate him, and it's amazing to him that you don't seem like you do.

Once tempers have cooled, it might be worthwhile to talk over what happened back then, just the two of you. It was pushed aside too quickly, and you both probably have things you wish you'd said.

Diavolo

"It seems I've upset you. Please know that I never meant to offend you."

He'll see that you're angry with him and give you your space, but he won't be as torn up about this as some of the others. Why? He simply won't believe you.

He has seen your soul, and it is not the soul of a hater.

Barbatos

"Oh?"

Yeah, get in line. Considering the amount of time travel shenanigans this guy has probably pulled, I have no doubt he has amassed more than his fair share of enemies. More than that, he already knows this is just you blowing off steam. Like Diavolo and Lucifer, this is just water off a duck's back.

Although, depending on how irritated he's feeling at the time of the incident, he may or may not wear a smirk as he gives his noncommittal response. Barbatos might be the man with the multiverse in the palm of his hand, but he is not above being petty. Watch your back for a few days.

Solomon

"Ah... It seems I've hit a nerve! I think I'll give you some time to cool down."

He'll back off and leave you to manage your anger in peace. Then he'll settle in to focus on some project or another that requires his undivided attention. He doesn't want to deal with all the unpleasantness that your words stirred up. Honestly, didn't he get past this sort of thing a few centuries ago? What's a little spat between friends? You don't actually hate him; not after all he's done for you. He can't possibly be feeling insecure...?

Nope, all he's feeling is itchy because of the toxic gas that's starting to pour out of his cauldron. He should open a window.

The Angels

I can't even do Simeon and Luke, because they'd both just be so confused and sad that I'm not sure where I'd go with it besides scolding you for being a bully. You don't just say "I hate you" to angels who are either extremely sweet and attractive or actual children.

So I read Serena.... wow. I'm gonna make a long post expressing my opinions because THERE ARE A LOT!! (there's pictures too!)

These are going to be just my thoughts and how I understood the story + characters so if anyone disagrees, sorry but our vibes don't match, please don't come at me.

Now first of all can they adopt me??

Ok going to be serious here (not for long) this manhwa is so good!! I have read another manhwa of Ina-nim, the author/artist, called "Black Winter" (it's amazing go check it out) so I knew this was going to have layers upon layers as a story. AND IT DID!!

The story is so complex, everyone is scheming something, no one says the full truth and you never know when you might get stabbed in the back.

I'm going to be honest, I've known about Serena since it came out and I didn't want to read it. Not because I thought the story was bad or anything, since I knew how great this author is already thanks to their previous story, but because I knew it was going to be messy. Super messy. And it is, it is a hot dumpster fire mess. And I didn't really want to deal with it since it would have been exhausting and I would have dropped it or put it on hold. But by now (chapter 72 as of the latest update) I think that it has become more "stable" to say and I found it easier to enjoy the story since I read it in one go.

I particularly loved that none of the characters were good. No one. But no one is exactly bad either. Everyone here is just gray, they're flawed, they do bad stuff, they hurt each other. No one is right or wrong. We see things form their perspective and we see their reasoning but whether we sympathise with them is up to us because, let's be real, even their thought process can be fucked up at times.

Besides Victor. Victor is pure evil. If we throw holy water at Victor he will start melting. Victor should be burned.

Now moving along let's talk about the main characters.

Starting with Serena. First of all MOTHER!!🛐-

Now Serena is the type of fl I expected to get lots of hate(and she did). She had a lover while she was married, she was way too stubborn, she thinks she's better than everyone, etc. And yeah she did all those things. She's also a very traumatised little girl who had her entire world shattered at the age of 17, had to marry a stranger and feel her worth slip through her fingers. Serena is constantly paranoid due to her past experiences and the way she's been treated. She's desperately grasping for whatever little power she can have in the begining.

Now that is not to say she's never done anything wrong. Her using Fredrick as merely a way to destress and a shield, her prejudice against Eiser simply because of his family, her thinking she deserves to be in charge even if she is unexperienced simply because she is a Serenity, her refusing to see anything from anyone's perspective but hers. She's too prideful, too stubborn, too guarded.

But she's a great businesswoman, she takes her tasks seriously and she's super intelligent. The moment she started working on the hotel she changed because she was finally in her element. That spoiled, angry Serena in the beginning was simply what the isolation had done to her, the way it had fundamentally changed her. She started seeing everything in a new light when she started learning how to manage the hotel and being more open minded while still being guarded. Serena is a perfect morally gray main character, she's flawed, she's human.

Next we have Eiser. DADDY-

I swear I'm not being biased when I say I loved Eiser SO MUCH! First things first, he is an asshole. Not gonna sugar coat it. In fact that is the sugar coating. He is quite possibly the most secretive man alive, we know exactly 3 things about his past in the last 72 chapters and I'm not even being sarcastic, that's the total amount. And that is probably what makes him so interesting as a character to me at least.

One of my favorite things about Eiser was that he didn't have any feelings about Serena in the beginning. Yeah he mostly saw her as a means to an end and felt a smidge of responsibility because of her brother, but that was it. He honestly did not care about what Serena did or thought. Eiser's only objective is to save Serenity hotel, probably fuck up his family along the way because screw them and the rest is an enigma. He doesn't do feelings, not anymore at least.

We learn from the beginning that he's not a "good guy", he's not Male Lead™ that's mean to fl to protect her or to not get close to her and his whole world revolves around her etc. He's not just this guy meant to be a love interest, he's a whole other well constructed character. He has his own goals (which we never know what they are because his thought's are more secretive and guarded than the Vatican Apostolic Archives), he follows the most efficient way to achieve those goals and that's all that matters to him. He recognized Serena's skills all along yet still thought of her as a spoiled little princess because he didn't care about knowing her, didn't need to, that wasn't going to help him.

There really isn't much development about Eiser aside his relationship with Serena (but that's a talk about further below), but that's kind of on point for him. Unlike Serena, Eiser has been doing business for years now, he knows how to run things, he knows how to work with people, he has experience and skill and friends (surprisingly). Eiser's role is more of a mentor for Serena than as someone who also needs to learn.

And last Frederick (gonna hide behind a chair real quick)

Don't come at me for this but to be 100% honest, Frederick was as interesting to me as a white sheet of paper. Most of the time he was just there. That's it. Look the man is mysterious I agree and his character would have been so so interesting but he literally gave me nothing. I swear I'm being unbiased, even if Eiser didn't exist this man would have done nothing to impact me as a reader. But I think that shows how important or how much impact he made to Serena's story.

Frederick is interesting in the fact that we don't know his role in the story. He says he's doing everything to help Serena yet will that make him an antagonist or not is yet to be revealed. Also Frederick isn't even his name??? so there's that. Unlike the first two, he appears too few times and we don't really know what's up with him. So far he has made it his main objective and like basically his personality to protect Serena from his employers.

I liked that it showed he came here with impure intentions and his own goals but ultimately he just made his entire world revolve around keeping Serena safe and that kind of bumped me. The most interesting thing about him so far right now is the mystery of his past (who he killed, what's his true identity) and whether he'll be an antagonist by the end or not.

And now we move to the most dreaded thing. The romance.

I'm gonna say it straight up, Serena x Eiser for the win. Enemies to lovers has gone and done it again and by god did I EAT IT UP!! They were mother and father fr!!

Now let me express my opinions on both couples here with actual words.

First I want to talk about Serena and Frederick. From the beginning this story did not have a love triangle, at least for me. Serena and Frederick always looked like a relationship born out of necessity (which Serena later on confirms that that's what it might have been all along). Serena craved for whatever warmth and protection she could get and Frederick became kind of a safe place for her. She essentially used Frederick as a distraction, a means of relaxation and someone to just vent. She never properly saw him as his own person or equal but as a means of escape from her struggles.

Meanwhile Frederick himself didn't exactly love Serena in a pure way. He loves her yes, but he's also obsessed with her. He feels the need to make her need him so he can stay by her side. He wants to be the only one seeing her weak and vulnerable, caging her and himself in this relationship. And the only way he knows she will be by his side is if she uses him. And the more Serena takes charge of things as head of Serenity and builds herself up, the more Frederick notices that she's slipping away from him so he desperately clings to the mission of protecting her from his employer. He even admits these himself:

Perhaps they did have something beautiful in the beginning but it slowly developed into a relationship that caged them both.

Now sit down because I'm gonna be talking about mommy and daddy (I unironcally call them that no I'm not joking) and this talk is going to be a loooong one *cracks knuckles*

Serena and Eiser were never the picture perfect couple, furthest thing from it and they were not planning on trying to change that anytime soon. They were toxic, they hurt each other and they didn't care about each other. To Eiser, Serena was just the girl he was supposed to marry to save Serenity and to Serena, Eiser was the man that took Serenity and might kill her in the future. None of them saw each other in a good light and none of them bothered to understand the other. Eiser was completely indifferent towards Serena and Serena just wanted to hurt him. Off to a great start because they were already at rock bottom so the only way to go is up!

The way their relationship developed was really natural and well paced. Everyone knows that the beauty of a good enemies to lover is the slowburn AND THE SLOWBURN WAS SLOWBURNING HERE LEMME TELL YOU! They first needed to see each other in a new lighting as equal business partners to go any further into their relationship or start trusting each other. They're both very calculative people and Eiser did see that, has always seen that, so he resulted to manipulating Serena into "competing" with him to give her the chance to properly work in the hotel. And Serena took the bait but never played right into the palm of his hand and always took charge of things her own way.

It was important for them to recognize each other's full capabilities, not just with the veil of "Grayan" or "Spoiled little princess". Most importantly it was essential for Serena to see that Eiser is in fact truly helping her family without any ulterior motives (that are harmful to her family at least) and never had any plans of taking over and eliminating her. And while Eiser was always aware of Serena's abilities and respected her as an individual, he always too disinterested in her to see how fully capable she is. One of the funniest things in my opinion was how Eiser was showering Serena with praises in his head 24/7 yet verbally he would break out in hives before complimenting her. (Istg the communication in this household died back in that carriage with Serena's family)

And that was the biggest wall that blocked them from going further with their relationship, so as soon as that was gone, well would you look at that, they can actually get along just fine and decently! And the romance just came along to them naturally.

Eiser was always drawn to Serena since he first saw her, he was always intrigued by her actions even if that left him puzzled. He always read people for his benefit, but Serena simply caught his eye every time by pure curiosity. He enjoys seeing her expressions and reactions and her journey to rising to her rightful place. Plus, Eiser always felt a kind of kinship with Serena. He saw the loss, betrayal and devastation in her and recognized it as the same as his own. The fight Serena put all these years to try and keep her place and protect what's hers is what he wished he had done all those years back and what someone had done for him when he was at his lowest. It was only after he truly got to know Serena that all these feelings started to subconsciously transform into something else, something even he isn't truly aware of.

Serena surprised me by being the first one to recognize(?), in a way, she had fallen but I'm not complaining, it was beautiful. Serena's main problem with Eiser was that she couldn't trust him, for very obvious reasons, that mans true thoughts are locked in a safe inside a safe inside another safe that happens to be inside a warehouse in Antarctica. I think the most important thing for Serena was to get to realize that Eiser was trying to truly help her family and the hotel. To me there were 3 major moments where Serena's feelings for Eiser changed: When they went to visit President Harol's mansion and he took the peaches and also defended her, when he said he'll build another hotel by the seaside during their date and when he told her he didn't hate her. All these moment helped Serena see that she had made a wrong assumption about Eiser and even though that wasn't enough to dispel all her suspicions towards him, rightfully so because Serena isn't an idiot, it made her trust him a bit more and be more comfortable around him.

Also their backstory, with Eiser being Serena's "prince" was so freaking cute. And the way she always looked for him when she went to those masquerade parties as a way of comfort, sobbing on the floor. If you go back and reread, you'll see that Serena has always been conscious of Eiser from the very start, albeit subconsciously. She always described him touching her like "The spot where he touched burned even after he had let go", or how she was conscious of being dressed "thinly" in front of Eiser but never in front of anyone else, not even Frederick. In my opinion, she had recognised Eiser as the masked prince at the time or knew subconsciously, but because of the animosity between him and her prejudice against him because he was a Grayan, she didn't want to admit it because that would admit that Eiser was anything but a simple marriage and business partner to her.

And now with the release of chapter 72, I am dreading the road in which their relationship is heading and how far back it may devolve. Like I don't blame Eiser because 1) he doesn't know about Serena's trauma 2) he saw red after seeing the way that man was hurting his wife I support the Grayan in him taking over at that moment. But unfortunately for Serena he just proved her greatest fear when it came to him, that he's still very much a Grayan no matter how much he despises them. Her reliving her childhood trauma and seeing Victor in Eiser could revert her to earlier Serena where she was always paranoid and scared of Eiser, but now with proof that he is in fact just as dangerous as she thought him to be. Worse thing is, she can't even go to Fredrick for comfort because she's suspicious of him too so she's truly alone (she has Sui but Sui was there before too and we saw the state in which Serena was in back than). This is a very complicated and simply put shit situation for them, it could possibly be one of their roughest patches in their entire relationship and it's going to take understanding from both Eiser and Serena to get over it and possibly, hopefully, truly trust each other after this. Please Ina-nim please I'm putting my trust in you!! (Ina-nim played us all like a cheep kazoo with chapter 72 like I could not have been more wrong and thank fuck for that! Never have I been so happy to be so incredibly wrong about something! War is over people cheered everyone cried tears of joy!!)

this will be long. i will save your dash by putting it under a cut:

firstly. who is the backbone of a band if not a drummer. he is the literal rock of the group besides papa himself. ive always liked percussion, especially the precision you need in order to play the instruments well. hayden is such an accurate and well-versed drummer, in my opinion. does he play the most complicated songs? no. (i mean, look at II of sleep token, that man is c r a z y) but he's talented and has variety in his musical repertoire.

did you know he can play guitar too? and he composes music. he has an entire soundcloud of scores and works with his friends on their projects (jutty w/drag talk, dylan w/into the vortex). so not only does he play the music, he can write it too. which, i think, is crazy talented. not everyone can do that---everyone in ghost is crazy talented, in general, and its gonna be hard for tobias to keep people like hayden around for a super long time.

i dunno, hayden as a person just seems super sweet, someone who's happy to support his friends and also do cool things for himself.

he's got some cute lil doggies too. and i, as a dog person, appreciate that he dresses his dog up all cute, poses her for a picture, and posts it for her birthday klsfdj

so uh, in terms of looks . . . i mean, this man is fucking fine and i will NOT hear hayden slander. i dont care that he's a tall white beanpole of a boy, he's cute. he's just a big cute nerd. and you know whats weird? i dont normally like tall men. but something about him makes my brain go...hhhh t a l l.

his nose? his eyes? his cute fucking smile? even his stupid expressions when he drums, he's so into it. i love it. apart from his face his...his hands oh my fisdjkkd. his big hands. i want them on me. pls. and his tattoos??? lskjdfsd his tatTOOS. some of the pictures of him with his forearm ones showing i cant even breathe i stg.

uhhh fun fact he's a taurus. his birthday is 4 days before mine.

i dont know. hayden just seems like a warm, kind person. which is probably the biggest reason i like him as a person.

okay wrapping up with hayden, onto mountain. i will try my best to keep this short but i really truly feel i could go on about him for a g e s.

first of all. as previously mentioned, i am a taurus. and, true to that, i am earth aligned myself, always have been. obviously, anything that i think of mountain is my own and common fanon. but earth is calming, it feels like home to me. that connected feeling you get when you get your hands in the dirt or that wash of satisfaction you get when its perfect weather outside. earth is strong, hearty, resilient.

he's a grounding presence, one of the backbones of the pack (aside from being the backbone of the band). and you know what i think? i think he seriously doesnt get enough credit or attention. and maybe he feels that way too, at the very least, alone on his podium up there on stage. and maybe its me projecting onto him, but, you know, i know how that feels. to also be relied on to be that grounding presence (like aether too) constantly, even when going through turmoil personally. so i connect strongly to that. to be the one, as harsh as it sounds, taken for granted.

on a lighter note, i just know hes such a gentle ghoul. of course he has a harder side, but it takes a lot to get him there (unless you ask of course). hes sensitive, loving, thoughtful, just the real definition of a gentle giant. a giver, more than anything. wants the best for his pack, in every aspect. is always looking out for them and finding ways he can show his love. big on gift giving, i bet, especially handmade things.

i dont know if this sounds weird, but mountain seems to lean more into the feminine energy than say a ghoul like omega or swiss. less of a 'big' presence, despite his size. fits in well with the girls, prefers quiet company. and thats something i always lean into, regardless of gender. not to say there's nothing masculine about him, but i think y'all know what i mean. his ideal day is probably sitting with like-minded company, maybe outside, enjoying a book or working on plants or doing some sort of craft or baking.

it also doesnt help that mountain essentially looks like a ghoul-ified hozier in my brain slkdflj. long mousy brown hair with auburn tones, proud nose, deep green eyes, warm olive-toned, medium gray skin, super freckly with soft patches of hair on his tummy, his sternum, his legs, his balls, you just look at him and want to hug him. want him to pick you up and carry you to a secluded meadow somewhere and for him to ramble about the plants you see along the way in that deep, rumbly voice of his.

and dude dont even get me STARTED on mountain as a lover. holy hell that ghoul can FUCK. always focused on his partner, so fucking sensitive, will worship the others body/bodies for as long as they'll let him. big on praising. soft. so fucking soft (but you know, he's got that HOT AS FUCKLSDJLFJ possessive side. that all consuming 'i need to have you' side. and a lil bit of a heavy hand, if they ask) and the NOISES I KNOW THIS GHOUL FUCKING MAKES IT PLAGUES ME EVERY DAY. the softest of groans, the breathy moans, *bangs fist on the table* the WHIMPERING. listen, y'all know how i feel about puppy mountain. that ghoul fucking WHIMPERS okay?! i need him. SO fucking bad. you already know how i write him. you know what i like. you know how it is. you know how i turn him needy 50% of the time, the ghoul you think has a giant dick and tops everyone? nuh uh. that boy is BOTTOMING a good chunk of the time too.

okay im rambling. im sure you can understand why i love hayden and mountain so much. sigh. he's the one for me. theres a lot of things that do it for me. you can count on me never shutting up about him.

Sky (Skyward Sword Link) is practically a demon magnet in my opinion. Why? Well, Demise was the Demon King which is a kind of role that you don't sneeze at. Demonic hierarchy is something taken very seriously especially when it concerns the king.

You do know what happens when a ruler in power is slain right? Absolute chaos as everyone scrambles to reclaim balance whether it be power or order. One such example is the City At War episodes of TMNT 2003. By taking out the Shredder, who also controlled the Purple Dragons, various gangs try to take his place as it left a huge power vacuum.

This put everyone living in New York City in the hot seat especially the SLAYER(S) aka the Turtles and Co. Crime kept running rampant until Karai seized control as leader of the Purple Dragons for everything to deescalate. By killing Demise, Link put a huge target on his head for every demon to gun down cause I imagine the Demon Realm isn't gonna be stable after that.

His soul definitely could've been marked with a special signature that only the supernatural or those highly adept in magic could detect. I'm also not forgetting a potential flare alerting every devil kin about Demise's fall. Signs or changes that can only happen under these circumstances.

Now their reasons to seek out Sky is like a mixed bag. It can mean good or very bad depending on the motives and party in question. Some demons/devils could seek to serve him as he took out their former master.

Eternal servitude, whether it be by magic or tradition, is a thing in both literature and myth. Some devils might even drag Link down to take Demise's place as Demon King. Power is often viewed above all standards as challenges for the throne often happen in certain cultures or societies.

Sky slayed Demise in one on one combat. It wasn't a group effort like in the original heroes who sealed the Demon King away. He still qualifies and desperate people will go to extreme lengths just to restore natural order. A power vacuum can cripple an entire civilization. If stopping it means a Skyloftian takes the throne then so be it as Link is the only one to prove his strength.

The other reason demons would seek him is either to kill or control him. Link's the only person who was able to slay Demise. An act that can spur vengeance from the fallen Demon King's loyal followers. Some would kill Sky just to gain right to the throne as he now stands in their way.

Manipulation is on the table as some demons will think the hero possesses something no one else has. A possible advantage against all their enemies if they play their cards right. Demons could try to make Link a puppet king or use him for their own goals. After all, the reach of the Demon King must be immense.

Whatever way you put it, the first incarnation of the Chosen Hero is now demon bait. Link better hope there isn't any viable portals between his realm and the demon realm cause oh boy. Creating a settlement on the surface just got a whole lot harder.

For anyone in the Linked Universe fandom, demon attacks will definitely become a thing. Who knows what era has active connections to the demon realm nor how strong each can potentially be. Sky's marked soul will still be on the radar unless it's hidden.

Although he and Hyrule can now bond over being curse buddies. Even if the reasons why they are being hunted down for is different. The Fierce Deity would immediately detect Sky's marked status and the Skyloftian might have to spill the beans right there.

I don't think even a deity like Fierce will have tact when it comes to a serious issue such as this. That's my opinion anyway. Until next time folks, I'll see you back at Skyloft.

You hadn’t expected to like it so much. It was meant to be a one time thing.

Things have been dry with your boyfriend lately, arguments beginning from the smallest things and hardly any sex. He’d been spending more time with his friends and ‘by himself’, and less and less time with you. 

Then, your car began to make a rattling sound. Many pointed out that it’s not a huge problem, that it wasn’t going to cause you to stop in the middle of the road, but it was so, too, annoying to handle. With the frustration your boyfriend had been putting you through, the rattling sound of the car became unbearable.

So, like any responsible adult, you went to the garage to get it fixed. A man by the name of Ronald had told you it wouldn’t take long, and that you could wait while ‘the crew’ worked on it.

‘The crew’ had turned out to be one of the best looking men in Haddonfield. You both flirted while he, who you now know as Corey Cunningham, fixed your rattling car. You knew who he was, or rather, what he did. There was not a single person in town he didn’t know about the ‘psycho killer babysitter.’ You were smart enough not to believe everything, after all news is only peoples opinions. If he hadn’t gone to jail, then clearly his innocence was proven.

You continued to flirt with Corey, not caring about what the public thought but about how he looked in his almost tight mechanics suit. One thing led to another, and soon enough, you were held against the car as you experienced the best sex you’ve ever had. 

He was a talker, saying things like ‘you’re mine’ or ‘ you belong to me.’ You found it insanely hot, but you haven't taken it very seriously. After all, it was a one time thing.

You didn’t feel guilty in the slightest. Your boyfriend wasn’t being very committed to the relationship and you had begun to feel bored. The fling with Corey had made you feel amazing and demolished the feeling entirely.

When you went back to you and your boyfriends shared home, your mood was significantly better. 

Corey hadn’t left you unscathed. Bites and bruises littered your body, but your dry relationship with your boyfriend had finally come in handy. Even without being seen by your boyfriend, he had caught a glimpse of a bruise on your neck. You brushed it off quickly, putting the blame on some bug, and he had quickly let the topic go.

Not long after your entanglement, you began to spot Corey more often. A LOT more often. At first you had just dismissed it as you never noticed him before meeting, but it quickly became clear that that wasn’t the case. There were even times where he’d stand directly outside your home or work and you’d spot him from the window.

He had said a lot of things when you two had sex, but you chalked it all up to him just being really into it. Phrases like ‘I don’t want to see you with him again,’ or ‘I’ll make sure no one ever touches you again,’ were said repeatedly, and now you were beginning to think he had actually meant it.

While it was concerning and borderline scary, you didn’t take any action to stop it. You didn’t call the police or confront him. Rather, you had begun to crave him again. Thoughts of Corey’s hands, thighs, and ass had plagued your mind, and you’d felt like you would combust with your need for him.

Trying to get over your thoughts of him, and hopefully get him off your back, you and your boyfriend went out on a date. You hoped that you and your boyfriend's relationship would reignite by the end of the night, and that Corey would be forgotten.

The date had gone well, and you were beginning to feel that you and your boyfriend were beginning to reconnect. Even with that mindset, you couldn’t truly get the thought of the brunet out of your head. Throughout the date, your mind would wander to the sturdiness of his thighs, to the veins on his hands, to the curls on his head.

You failed to notice the pair of eyes trained on you throughout the entire thing.

You didn’t have time to get into the mood with your lover when you had gotten home, as loud knocks had interrupted the both of you.

It was late, and you weren’t close with your neighbors, so the visitor wasn’t one the either of you had expected.

Your boyfriend volunteered to go open the door, leaving you alone in your bedroom. You heard the door open, but you couldn’t pick up any voices speaking. You figured your boyfriend had gone out to talk to whoever it is. 

Minutes passed and you began to worry. A part of your mind thought that maybe he bailed, that maybe a friend had knocked on the door and that he had just left. Another more rational part of your brain dismissed the thought. He was a bit neglectful, yes, but he wasn’t an asshole.

You decided to go downstairs and check on what happened. The house was eerily quiet, no sounds from both inside and outside the house.

“BF/N, are you there? I swear if this is a prank I’ll never forgive you again.” You whispered into the now dark house.

It didn’t take you long to notice the body laying on the floor.

It also didn’t take you long to notice it was breathing.

You creeped closer towards him and kneeled down. Unconscious, but alive. He was losing blood rapidly, but he would live with soon enough care.

Turning around to get your phone, you found yourself face to face with a masked man. The mask seemed to be almost childish, but looked absolutely horrifying in the dark with dark spots splattered across it.

The man didn’t take long to reveal himself, quickly ripping off the mask to reveal the face you’ve thought endlessly about the last few days.

“Corey- What are you doing here?” 

He quickly took a step towards you, and you stepped back just as fast. The look he had on scared you, but you couldn’t deny the heat spreading through you. 

“No. What were you doing with him. I thought I made my intentions clear last time, but clearly I haven’t.” He spoke as he continued to get closer, pushing you into a corner. His tone was rough and harsh, but something in it made it sound as if he was hurt. 

“Corey, What are you talking about?” You willed yourself not to stutter, not to appear scared in front of the man you longed for for so long. You knew he was the one to knock your boyfriend out, that was without question.

“What I’m talking about, Y/N, is the fact that you’re mine, not that cunts’” He said as he finally cornered you, placing both his hands against the wall next to your head. “I knew you and him weren’t really close, so I thought, although I didn’t like it, to let you do whatever you wanted. You two weren’t going to last anyway.”

If he didn’t sound upset before, he sure did now. He stayed quiet for a moment, not looking at you but keeping his hands in their place. You could feel his hot breath on your skin.

“You know he’s been cheating on you, don’t you?” He said, eyeing you for your reaction. Your slight surprise was enough of an answer.

“I thought you knew, that you would leave him. I thought that you would be mine, just like you said.” Now he sounded on the verge of sobbing, stuttering heavy breathes cutting through his words.

“Corey listen I-” “No. You listen to me,” he no longer sounded like an emotional mess, but more like an enraged predator. He leaned close to your ear and whispered with his gruff voice, nearly causing you to collapse. “I may not have made it clear last time, but I’ll make sure it’s clear this time. You’re mine.” 

One second you were pinned to the wall with his arms on either side of you, the next you were on the ground with Corey straddling your hips. You knew you should be scared but you couldn’t stop the heat spreading to your core at the sight of his thighs on either side of your torso. They were larger than you remembered, each one almost as thick as your torso.

You didn’t have long to admire him before you felt his lips smash into yours in a feverish kiss. Wasting no time, he pushed his tongue into your mouth, refusing to leave anything untouched. He let his large, veiny hands run up and down your torso, feeling you again for the first time in what felt like forever.

You knew this was wrong. Your boyfriend was bleeding out, if not already dead, and here you are making out with his soon to be killer. But you didn’t stop yourself when placing your hands at the back of his thick neck and grabbing onto his smooth curls.

Corey groaned, both due to your reciprocation and the tug on his sensitive scalp. It didn’t take you long to feel a hardness poking your thigh, practically begging to be let out. You moaned into the kiss, desperation and wetness clawing at you.

When Corey finally moved away from the kiss, you couldn’t help but admire him. His face red and sweaty, expression between desperate and dominant, curls disheveled and sticking to his forehead. He slowly leaned down towards you, more of his weight being put on you making you realize just how heavy he really is.

“You’re mine, aren’t you? Yeah, you are. I’ll make sure you never forget that.”

I want everyone to know that I have treasured these messages regardless - thank you. I was for a time seriously considering abandoning the platform, but I ultimately decided that it wasn't what I wanted and so much of that decision comes from those who've stuck by me throughout all of this. It's been tense and admittedly sometimes downright messy - I'm not incredibly proud of calling out some of the bullshit as bluntly as I have in the past, but it is what it is and even if I didn't do the best thing at the time, I am assured in knowing I've said what I've said for the right reasons.

I've collated the inboxes that most closely align here, where I'll answer everyone as best I can, both because it's more expedient AND because I'd like to be able to push this out and finally draw a line under that negative experience. Friends with people I've called out, most likely. They're probably doing it out of loyalty to their friend, which doesn't make it right but does make it somewhat understandable, I guess? Don't worry - I DEFINITELY intend to keep writing. I've finally nailed down the beginning of the next instalment, having plotted out an entire chapter with threads extending beyond to later instalment/s, and have made tentative inroads on writing! I had some extreme writer's block and writing anxiety after the end of last year, but returning to what I love (mostly reading fanfic and making my books) has helped mitigate a lot of the damage. Unfortunately, I think the mentality of returning fire is what's landed me in the hot seat, and I would HATE for anyone to be put in this position especially because of me. And I'm happy to see all the hand-pudge love! My hands have always been really fat and stumpy-dumpy looking, partly due to a recessive genetic thing that a geneticist actually studied my family for! My being over the standard weight doesn't help their appearance, though I don't mean this in a negative way. I have wrinkly, pudgy old-lady hands and they're capable of a lot! I write with them, I make crochet toys with them, I knit clothes with them, I create cards and bind books and build furniture with them. They might not be 'sexy' hands but they're my hands and through them, I fulfil everything I want to do creatively. I totally get you about the ring sizing, though - some jewelry stores drive me INSANE. I love YOU and YOUR hands, Rissi! Thank you!

Thank you for this message, nonnie. I really appreciated some additional perspective to break me out of the spiral I was in. When you're getting hate of a really personal bent, it can be super demoralising. There's definitely an element of this, I think - or people who are having issues in their personal lives that they're externalising onto social media as a symptom of lacking resolution or closure. Whatever the reason, I know only part of it is because of their dislike of me, valid or not, and there's much more motivating the desire to actively wish for someone else to feel bad about themselves. Bullying is such an epidemic as it is, and translation to the cyber platform really has just diversified all the ways we humans can hurt each other. I'm in a much better headspace now after having no inspiration and an actual fear of writing for months because of all the bad feelings associated with it, so it is super refreshing and pleasing to be working my way back in slowly.

I don't actually know what the hate anon thing is about - everyone is copping them. I have no idea if it's a bunch of writers slinging shit at each other for various reasons, or if it's one or a small collection of users taking aim at everyone just to stir trouble, or if it's simply a troll fucking with everyone's heads and causing division. I have my own theories, but honestly, it could be anything. It could be all three. It could be none of these. I don't know. It has been really toxic here for a while, which sucks, because I've been here since September 2022 and it was nice and quiet for a good few months until shit started really popping off like mid-last-year. Boredom, perhaps. Who knows? All I'm hoping is that the return of the show brings in more writers for the fandom, which should hopefully thin out the toxicity and make it a nicer place to be. I think there are too many users who've got it in their head that fandom is a real-life game of thrones, and that we've all got to claw and scrape and backstab each other for some sort of prize. Hence the whole 'big blog', 'little blog' rhetoric and the hyper-preoccupation with notes and perceived infamy. People like this will eventually crack under the pressure of their own maladaptive attitude or get caught out for it, so I'm not too concerned. I think it's super damaging to see writing/content-creating as a ladder of achievement rather than a personal enjoyment. I've never engaged in that, nor do I want to.

It'll get better, nonnie, it has to. But it has to start with people wanting to exist in fandom for the sake of creation, not destruction. Hopefully this happens sometime soon.

Hey, nonnie! Unfortunately, the Tumblr anon feature is woefully mismanaged. I think that if the developers incorporated some sort of coding that guaranteed that every anon had a random percentage chance of being sent off anon, people would be MUCH less flagrant in their abuse of the system. I get its function. Humans unfortunately suck by nature so much of the time, so naturally it's misused.

I am a little hesitant with Patreon because of the nature of its paywall thing. (I used to have the pay-thing active on Tumblr, but I no longer do that because of the ethics of creating fandom content and the inadvertent/implied overlap with possible financial gain, so I turned it back off.) I know you can unlock that feature, but there's definitely more of a community feeling here and an ease to interaction that I don't really think Patreon has, but that just comes from having been a user interacting with other profiles at one point (mostly Sims CC, lol). I'm probably going to stay on Tumblr for now, cuz I've grown such a community here and I don't really want to let some fuckwits wreck that for me because of whatever-the-fuck-reason they have to send me crap. Eyyyyy, Luna! Thank you so much for your words. It was dark there for a while, but I've pushed through and decided to remain on the hellsite (I guess it's called that for a reason, haha!). I'm making progress on writing, too! YAY! I had fuck-all inspiration for a good while there, but I think the break was good as I did end up writing like a demon for about a year. I look back and I'm so proud of the work I did, and no crappy little text messages are going to take that away from me. I want to keep making work that I'm proud of, and hopefully I continue to do that for a long time. I often go back to certain fanfics that I love, that make me feel safe and comforted and familiar, when I'm feeling down, and the mere possibility of serving as that for even one other person is why I'm determined to stay and ignore the rotten apples.

i think this is the thing - ppl underestimate greg's ability to know what's going on. greg knows matsson, and he knows tom. he was literally there in the restaurant with them. and yeah he doesn't overhear the conversation, but i think he's smart enough to figure out that if matsson is going to change his mind about shiv, he is going to choose tom instead. greg knows tom is a pain sponge too. he knows tom is servile - exactly what matsson is looking for in a ceo. it doesn't take a genius to figure out that it would be tom if you take him seriously. bc greg does. he takes him seriously. shiv didn't even consider tom, and neither did the other siblings, because they don't take him seriously. they think he's a joke. the only person who would make less sense to them is greg [i know matsson likes greg but greg lacks the experience that tom has in a similar role.]

jesse himself said not to underestimate greg and like his whole deal is he listens, he adapts to people and becomes someone they like and want to tell their opinions and feelings to. i'm not saying matsson ever told him he was considering tom, because otherwise things would have turned out differently, but there must at least be an inkling from what he knows about matsson. i'm pretty sure matsson finds the siblings annoying as all hell, plus his misogynistic ass towards shiv, so who is left as a logical choice? who is on the inside that matsson could tolerate, who is servile, who wouldn't mind having his strings pulled, who is like, attached to greg, who greg is probably nudging praises about, in line with his constant singing of tom's song throughout season 4.

we have to remember that greg is the only person who doesn't treat tom like a joke. i think if greg saw tom in the same light as everybody else, i would agree with this ask. but since he doesn't, and since greg has literally been firmly by tom's side the entire season without a single hint of doing anything otherwise, i think it makes a lot more sense that he made a move of survival whilst keeping tom's name out of the picture, which probably fuels his response to tom in the bathroom. yes he made a mistake, but he protected tom just like he's been doing all along and not been getting any appreciation or consideration for. plus of course his growing confidence and actual respect for their dynamic shift into friends and partners as well as commander and soldier.

i would say for me personally try watch visual media that u can recognise as "beautiful" and not to shit on like. cw shows but i mean stuff that is marked by its cinematography being truly excellent. and just really examine how those set and lighting designers use angles and lighting and how the people filming and editing choose to frame their shots to achieve what works. hell looking at art helps with this too. look at other people's stuff on simblr analytically try to seriously work out why it appeals to people the way it does. ik u asked for editing tips but i think it really starts ingame you can have the most incredible editing style but it doesn't work if ur shot comp doesn't work then it'll won't hit as hard

take time to learn what most of the adjustment layers do on photoshop, and what all the blending layers look like, download other people's psds and play with them on top of ur shots to see what works! what u personally think looks good will be different from what i personally think looks good, i like dramatic lighting and muted colours and mid level contrast so not too strong but i can't speak for whether you will too. ALSO im a religious user of @/simmerstesia's psd set here i think a well chosen shot can be really elevated by using something like this to really give it that final polish

I've been very picky about the blogs I follow and avoided Twitter entirely, so I suppose I never saw the full extent of how bad parts the fandom have become. You absolutely deserve to explore your creative works without worrying about how someone else might react.

I first discovered your blog through your welcome home art. I adore your writing. The time you take to develop your world building and characters is top-notch. Another thing, thank you everyone so much for understanding my standing on the Welcome Home fandom. The fandom has definitely opened my eyes on a lot of issues within the fandom and others. I used to like smut fics in different fandoms but recently no matter the fandom, I find some very disturbing works usually on AO3. Usually I'm just very uncomfortable with smut or NSFW art now, especially with Welcome Home when I wasn't before. It's why I decided to just not write for smut now or anything overly s3xual. Suggestive is fine, just not full on smut. It could be because of the reasons listed above or maybe I've just matured more than I was before (Idk if that's even possible for my age).

Also tysm for people letting me know about what my artwork looks like, I SWEAR I did not mean for most of it to be that suggestive, I just thought it would look aesthetic. i've personally always liked South Park for the past few years i've known about it (and officially getting into it like, 8~ years later), but from one of my opinions i stated, South Park is one of the fandoms that is a major victim to the whole abandoning good writing for LGBTQ+ rep and character archetypes.

i think a lot of people fail to remember that while the show actually brings decent representation (in a satirical way), it's still satirical - a lot of it is making fun of everyone and anyone. i've seen people take the character sheets seriously from TFBW where they list the sexualities and gender identities and take this as literal fucking fact for the characters. like, it's not canon, and it never was! that's only for their superhero alter egos!

same goes for ships and characters in general. i've seen people perceive Tweek as a weak blonde boy with no ways to protect himself and only relying on Craig, and i have to ask: did we watch the same fucking show? does ANYONE remember how he had an Entire Fucking Bazooka at Steven Spielberg and George Lucas and was going to shoot it unless he got his friends back???

or, here's another one that makes me go crazy: Kyle being perceived as weak and emotional! he can be considered emotional for his rage, but he gets egged on by Cartman every day of the fucking week for being Jewish and being from Jersey, among a NUMBER of things. and you consider this kid, who i should consider as one of THE strongest boys in the entire town, weak? who has singlehandedly thrown hands to Cartman every time he fucks with him? nobody? nobody at all?

i could give off so many examples but i'm gonna nail it at these two specific ones because holy shit, this fandom should not have as many children in it as it should. like, there's a reason why this show is M-rated; you should not be complaining when a show is blatantly offensive when it's like that to make fun of everybody. you chose to watch this show, you're going to get what you asked for.

Twitter is trying to cancel SnC yet again I see.

If I were SnC I would literally just delete all my twitter profiles except for their channels twitter which I'd then use ONLY for promoting when new videos drop. Just so the twitter fans can learn that they aren't as important as they seem to think they are because those boys are nearly at 12 million subscribers on youtube, twitter is but a mere handful of that subscriber count so it really wouldn't matter if they all decided to stop watching.

(plus the video they're all angry at is actually performing very well, it's already at 2M views on just day 2 of releasing. This suggests a lot of the fandom may not share twitters opinions...)

i don't see snc deleting their twitters, but i do see them continuing to not use them and just letting them sit dormant bc that side of the fandom is too dramatic.

that side of the fandom has cried wolf one too many times and now expects snc to still listen to them. and look, back in 2020/21, maybe that would have happened. bc twitter held a lot more stock back then. but not anymore. they thought they could call out snc for every little thing and expect them to always listen and for all of the fandom to agree. and reality is that just won't fly anymore.

were there genuine reasons to call them out before in the past (and even now)? sure. i'm not here to argue that. but what i am saying is once everyone jumped over the line in the sand and started getting mean and calling them out for nonsense things, idk what you expected to happen.

it's one thing to complain about content and what's going on in it or that it's taking too long to get new content out. it's another thing to bitch about their gfs and say they shouldn't date them, or in general to bring up personal shit.

where our input starts and ends is content related, and that's it. anyone that thinks they have a say in what snc do in their own personal lives are delulu. it doesn't matter if you believe you have their best interest in mind, your input is unwanted. that's just reality.

also i think a lot of ppl on twitter think they speak for everyone in the fandom but they fail to realize that this fandom has 12 mil ppl in it (roughly). even if one of the louder fans on there has a 1000 followers, that's not even 1% of the entire fandom. that's not even .01%. that's how little the amount of ppl you speak for.

my thing is, all of this complaining and drama started in january, around colby's bday, when the pics of them with the girls leaked. and since then, this fandom and that side in particular hasn't shut up since. and look, obviously not everything is about the girls and not everyone is even complaining about the girls. i'm not trying to cast wide nets here and assume. but… be honest: yall have been complaining for WEEKS about a variety of things, ranging from them having gfs that might be clout chasers to snc not talking about a genocide, and somehow…….. i'm supposed to take any of that seriously??? snc are supposed to take that seriously??? those are two VERY different things, no?

but hey, you wanna be upset at snc for whatever reason, be my guest. i'm not here to stop you. do whatever you want. but at what point do you just accept that snc aren't gonna meet your demands and thus your only option is to leave?? just curious. and are you okay with the fact that just bc you leave doesn't mean anyone is gonna miss you, including snc? harsh reality is snc don't know who you are, and that's not bc you don't deserve to be known - they just realistically don't know you, and you leaving isn't gonna do anything.

Now, for my question, as we know that OGs and more specifically CGI movies are only canon to them, the new approach Capcom took with Leon's relationship with Ada starting RE2R to RE4R and how he's basically done with her at the end, there's a vaaast difference there imo it's practically unmissable and even Nick was talking how Leon is "done with her shit" to put it bluntly. So it really does seem like there's a different approach to Leon's entire relationship with her. And when we combine all that, it makes sense that Damnation is cut out of this because it's just not gonna fit... the entire concept and point of this game is Leon moving past his trauma that includes Raccoon City and Ada both, and he does that by forming a bond with another human being that he rescues but also Luis. There's so many different things and the way they play out that to me personally this is absolutely a different take on Leon. They're now two different people/characters. Which is why i am so excited and ready to see how RE6R will play out especially with Ada where we get the utmost closure.

Again, this is my two cents. But i really love your takes and i wish you continue. There's so many misinformation out there that's being spread on an almost daily basis that this fandom deserves some clearance. Stay strong and take care !! <3

Oh I absolutely agree!!! Capcom's definitely taking a new approach to Leon and Ada this time around with the remakes. Admittedly, I'm not the biggest fan of the vilification of Ada in the remakes, but then I've never been a big enough fan of her to have a strong opinion on it either way? Especially since they're just heavily leaning into what was already there in the original games, so I'm all here for this different perspective. Leon's feelings towards Ada in RE4R are completely justifiable and feel very realistic and genuine. Also I'm a HUGE sucker for narratives where two characters grow through their experiences with one another, so the way that Ashley and Leon do just that in the RE4R makes my heart melt. I'm really glad Capcom decided to approach Leon's Raccoon City trauma in the way they did — with his relationships with Ashley, Luis, as well as Ada and Krauser, being representative of him processing his inner turmoil and moving forward.

I think a lot of the misinformation floating around is just misguided, ya know? I don't think a lot of people are satisfied with the information provided to them (regarding anything prior to the remakes), so they're constantly digging for more and can easily find themselves believing something that's not necessarily true because that's what they want to believe. They want there to be more depth laid out in front of them than what's already there, they want a certain level of tragedy to be properly explored with good writing, etc.

Then the other part of it is that I think that younger/newer fans just take issue with OG Leon when they're not sexualizing him (which I'm not saying is wrong, mind you). Almost like people are threatened by the idea of their favorite character being flawed in a way that they don't deem as acceptable. Leon's flaws are relatively minimal and often come at the detriment of himself rather than others, but that doesn't mean that he is without any flaws that impact those around him. OG Leon wasn't/still isn't written with gen-z kids in mind, so I feel like it's natural for younger people to gravitate towards remake Leon because he's more palatable. He feels safer, so-to-speak. I think that's perfectly reasonable. However, I think the general bias skews peoples' perspectives when taking OG Leon into account.

Also I think people are just confused lol because of how murky lore shit can be, and again, people are want to believe anything that makes them think that there's more depth than what's being provided in canonical material.

That's why I'm happy to share my own meta/knowledge/whatever, because I think it's nice to offer another perspective into the mix!!

Rambling about Stranger Things, as always. If you're looking for coherence, this post is probably the wrong place for you lol:

I am not in any way against Will and Mike getting together, nor am I against Mike finding out that he's bi. I am, however, against El getting shafted. Just as much as I'm against Will getting his heart broken. Which sucks, cause the way they're setting this up seems like it's definitely gonna be one or the other here. (Seriously, when are writers going to figure out that polyamory is an option????)

Putting aside my feels about the inevitability of Will or El getting the boot, though, I'm mostly curious about all of this from a characterization standpoint. Because every time I think of these 3 and their potential romantic relationships, I think of one thing:

You don't do that as a 13-year-old boy when you aren't soul-deep in love with someone. You don't do that as any gender at any age unless you're in love. Likewise, while he was dedicated to finding Will in Season 1, Mike was equally dedicated to keeping Eleven safe. Contrast this with Lucas who thought Mike was getting distracted by Eleven and only cared about getting Will home. So I have a hard time accepting that Mike isn't in love with her. And I also look to the fact that both he and Nancy are historically awful at talking about their feelings, which makes more sense to me than the idea that he's stopped loving her by Season 4.

That being said, I acknowledge that these moments happened in Seasons 1 and 2 and I'm not really looking at moments that happened after that. I am entirely willing to admit thay I'm missing something because I'm stuck in the past. I also know that people and characters change. Especially in their teen years. Steve is top tier proof of this. But I guess the difference is that we got to see Steve go through his evolution. It feels like the only evolution we've seen with Mike is watching him become increasingly more annoyed and bored by everything. (Which isn't a complaint, by the way - unlike a lot of fans, I don't hate Mike or think that the writers have done him dirty. I think it's incredibly realistic for him to act this way at 14 or 15, especially after everything he's been through.)

I'm not trying to start a shipping argument (though I'm sure this will inevitably turn into one), I'm just curious about other people's perspectives here. I've seen all sorts of meta posts, but I'm just not seeing what either the Byler or Mileven people are seeing. All I'm seeing is a relatively normal teenage boy who is oblivious to the fact that his best friend is in love with him and is so emotionally stunted that he has difficulty telling his girlfriend that he's in love with her.

Why do you think that El should be left in the dust? Why do you think Will should get his heart broken? Why do you think they're both too good for Mike and should seek love elsewhere? Why do you think there's a way that all 3 of them can be happy, even though the writers are unlikely to give us the polyam solution that would easily wrap all of this up in a bow for us?

Like someone in my Asks accused me of going nuclear when it turns out that A+C=D is not a thing. And, I have no earthly idea where they get that notion. If it turns out that Daeron has silver blonde hair like the rest of them, and is clearly Viserys kid ... I'm just gonna shrug and say "M'kay".

There's a thousand terrible things going on in my personal life. If they fuck up a TV Show I like ... I'm not going to cry about it. I'll be annoyed, probably a bit mad, but that's reserved for stuff that I think most people would be mad about too. Like assassinating characters or bad writing.

Anyway, to answer your question ...

I think that Season 2 will be incredibly inconsistent. As we learned, the HOTD Writers Room failed to meet the Studio deadline and so they hired the former showrunner and head writer of "The Crown" to come in and basically patch work Season 2 into a coherent narrative. Which means that it's going to be a quilt of different drafts of scripts put together by a last minute replacement that is not at all familiar with the characters or source material beyond what is in the Show Bible that he was provided.

So, I would assume that characters such as Alicent and Criston, Aemond and Aegon, will be quite different and some of them - like Aegon - will be a lot worse than before, because - once again - the studio script editor is a last minute hire that only has the show bible and Season 1 to work with.

So, I doubt seriously that we're gonna be able to really predict where the show is going to go or how true to the lore the characters are gonna stick, cause the entire Season was put together by someone who doesn't know anything about the ASoIaF Universe.

Jimmy is starting to really annoy me. He never seems to be paying attention when shit is really going down, he just stands there and smiles like everything is OK. Jey was pouring his heart our in the ring a few weeks ago and it was like it didn't even register what he was saying. I just never understand why anyone would want Jey to stay and protect his brother when imo he doesn't even deserve it half of the time, and I love Jimmy but he's so selfish that it's difficult to ignore.

yeah, i get that. i can completely understand why someone would feel frustrated with jimmy right now, and, honestly, i've had moments where i'm just like "really, bro. you're gonna just stand there and smile right now?" because it feels a little out of place, like when jey was - like you said - bearing his soul in the ring about why he kicked sami and jimmy was just stood there, nodding along. but, like. the thing with jimmy that i think a lot of people forget because it isn't focused on as much is that jimmy has been through just as much with roman as jey has. he's a victim of roman, too.

in fact, i think in some ways, jimmy is worse off than jey. because on some twisted, fucked-up level, roman loves jey. he respects him. he knows jey is a real threat to him, he knows jey holds power, and he respects that jey is a competent adversary to him. that's why it's so important to roman to keep jey in line. but jimmy? what is jimmy to roman, really? what has he been to roman, this entire time? nothing more than a pawn. he's nothing more than a weapon roman uses to beat jey down with. three times now roman has successfully used jimmy to weaken jey, to get him to fall in line. and it works every time because jimmy is jey's weakness. that's all roman sees him as, a way to get to jey. he doesn't respect jimmy. he doesn't, in his own fucked-up way, love jimmy in the same way he loves jey. when jimmy came back and jey disappeared in 2021, jimmy didn't become the right-hand man. jimmy became the messenger boy. he was never first-choice, never even second-choice. he's never been anything more to roman than just a soldier. jey's been the right-hand man, jey's been given responsibility, he's been relied on. all jimmy is good for, to roman, is giving him jey.

he doesn't take jimmy seriously in the slightest. in my opinion, if jimmy challenged roman for the titles, do you know what i think would happen? roman would laugh at him. that's it. he wouldn't even consider the possibility that jimmy's being serious, or entertain the thought. jimmy could hit roman square in the face, and roman wouldn't even blink, because he does not view jimmy as anything to worry about, anything to care about, anything to even waste his time thinking about. jimmy is the fun one. the goofy one. he's the one who makes the jokes and never gets anything done - jey is the one who gets things done. the serious one. the dependable one. it's been like that this whole time between the three of them, that dynamic has always existed, and it's still there now. even when jey disappeared in january, at no point did roman even consider jimmy as any kind of replacement. he just put him in charge of finding his brother and using that connection he knows the usos have to his own advantage. fuck, he even told jey that he loved him more than jimmy did. i think when jimmy said roman was jealous of him, he was right. he's jealous because he has that relationship with jey that roman could only dream of having. jey would choose jimmy over roman every time, no hesitation, and roman hates him for it.

idk, man. i just think jimmy's part in this gets overlooked a lot. i get being frustrated with him, but i don't think he's stupid. i think he knows exactly what's going on but i also think he knows there's nothing they can do about it. i think it was fairly obvious during his arguments with sami that he knows there's truth to what everyone says about roman - jimmy's even called roman abusive before himself so he's fully aware - he just knows that he isn't stronger than roman, that jey isn't stronger than roman, that it's easier if they just go along with it, and that if either of them go against him, it's their entire family they're risking.

even though me, personally, i believe if jimmy took a stand against roman, he'd be the only one that was punished. unlike jey who gets threatened with his entire family. i don't think roman even cares enough about jimmy that he'd make them all suffer like he would with jey. he'd just swat him away like an annoying insect, spare him no more thought than that.
