Had to sketch out the closing moments from Chapter 13. Wow that really is an unlucky number, hey Dee? I have been obsessed with @remedyturtles' fic Fire Fight. Seriously if you haven't already go give it a read. They are absolutely killing it and the last chapter has left me in pieces, said pieces are still on the edge of my seat though.

As much as I dislike caleo, calypso herself is not an inherently bad character (only talking about pjo, if we're talking about the accurate calypso from Greek myths then I'm tying up my hair and putting my hands up she's awful there)

but the thing is that TOA caleo ruined any development that she could have had

You had a boy who never felt loved and a girl who always fell in love with people that couldn't stay and threw them together? It's a good ship in concept

but then you get to the plot holes and stuff

like calypso being 6000+ years old and Leo being 16

and calypso being insanely rude and demeaning to Leo throughout TOA

it's just not a good ship and I'm sorry because it could've been cute it really could've but it's not

i really really hope that rick realizes that caleo isn't a good or healthy relationship bc it would be better for both calypso and Leo to break up

imagine calypso, someone who has been cursed to never find true love (JUST LIKE REYNA!) finally getting in the mindset that she doesn't need a guy to be happy that she can live her own life without relying on romance

imagine calypso joining the hunters of artemis. would that not be the most perfect thing for her character?

and Leo, who has never found someone who stays with him and loves him for who he is, going on a mission (similar to Orpheus and Eurydice) and bringing Jason back to life and them living together

it's my silly valgrace obsessed brain but seriously??? THIS WOULD BE SO GOOD

And the fanfic writers that I know have written "sequels" like this and did it so perfectly prove that this COULD be done

✨Inspiration Saturday✨

I have been not so patiently waiting for today so I can share an edit I made of fae warrior Eddie from my Fantasy AU! I am so happy and proud of how it turned out!!

I mean, just look at him! 🤩🤩🤩

The stranger wipes the blood from their blade on their pants and then sheathes their sword before turning to Buck, and holy shit. Even with the shitty lighting from the street light, Buck can see that the stranger is gorgeous.

His body is rippling with lean, compact muscles adorned in a detailed garment that closely resembles medieval armour. The armor is a mix of black leather and grey steel, its design cutting off at the man’s broad shoulders, leaving tan, muscled arms exposed. Matching steel bracers cover his forearms, his hands unconfined. Buck’s eyes roam back up, noticing the intricate patterns that are engraved into the breastplate and faulds. He keeps his gaze moving back up to the main attraction. And again, holy shit.

A strong jawline covered by a thin, well-groomed beard frames plush pink lips. The slope of his nose is gentle yet sharp and his ears are slightly pointed, or is that just a play of the light? Buck brushes past it and darts across to his eyes - his eyes - dark brown swirling with amber tones, like two rich pools of bourbon that Buck wouldn’t mind getting drunk in. Those eyes are looking directly into Buck's own with a piercing gaze, like the stranger is trying to see into his very soul.

“Are you hurt?” The stranger asks, face etched in concern, his voice calm yet commanding. He reaches a hand up to Buck’s head and brushes his fingers over Buck’s birthmark with a touch much more delicate than Buck expected.

Buck feels like all the air has left his body, sucked out by the presence of the man before him. He shakes his head no, dislodging the strangers fingers, his skin tingling from where the man had touched him. It makes his head spin. Or maybe it’s spinning from being attacked by a giant mutant dog and then being saved by the most attractive person he’s ever seen. And he’s lived in LA his whole life.

“Uh it’s - it’s a birthmark.” Buck manages to get out. “M’not hurt.”

The worry in the man’s eyes eases at Buck’s words, his posture relaxing slightly, but still tensed like he’s ready for another fight. Buck hopes there aren’t more mutant dogs out there.

SOMEONE MADE A FIC INSPIRED BY MINE?? AND YOU SHOULD READ-

Fic Summary- Tim Drake died and woke up possessing the body of an alternate version of himself who also just had died.

The new reality he found himself in, appeared to be a parallel Earth with a future as close as any other alternative Earth, until the point where Tim never became Robin, or even more than just neighbours with the Waynes, instead becoming the most stereotypical affluent, obnoxious, nuisance he could be.

Having a reputation that might as well make him the metaphorical love child of Brucie Wayne and Lex Luthor, Timothy Drake seemed to embody all that was wrong with the rich. This made finding a way home a tad more difficult than he had originally anticipated. That is, if there even was a way home to be found.

* Yellow_sprouts' fic 'The Drakes Spoiled Brat. (im sorry dad)' inspired this one. I obtained their permission to write this, and I encourage everyone who reads it to read their fantastic fic!

@Narratiuncula has a very descriptive and introspective writing style- really set the scene for what to expect both from Tims perspective (which is always essential considering everyones interpreatation differs) on both himself and his family. Even in chapter one sets up the "old" Tim just through Tims eyes + Analysis and then sets up the future scene where he has to start adapting to this new life.

Predictions im already getting the vibe for a more morally ambigious Tim or at the very least more serious vibe than I have in my work but still maintains a level of humor throughout. Im getting at some lovely family conflict since in my AU "Timothy Drake" was an act- but in this version hes a whole other person so we shall see how it plays out.

Anyways y'all should check it out- its only on chapter 1 but I already have my popcorn bucket and everything

If you like laughs, a believable bad ass main character, trauma and coming to terms with the fact your world culture and everyone you love is gone? Go read @the-lizard-lord fic ‘Zombie’ one of the best self inserts I’ve read in a while, it’s really ramping up to be something special.
