((okay, I'm actually kind of scared I made him a little "stereotypical" but uh... Here's my little guy. I know he's very feminine and soft.. my art style makes it worse though.. but uh yeah... I tried explaining stuff a little more below the cut, and I added a few extra details + a drawing of him from his childhood))

((ALSO DISCLAIMER!! I do not know a lot about the army's recruiting processes, or about how shadow company would choose it's soldiers, so if he's unrealistic, forgive me and please don't judge me over it I'll actually cry))

I added a small sketch to show his scars in the corner because I had them all covered up by his clothes..most of them are on his legs since he's incredibly clumsy, or well not focused on where he's going, often walking right through thorn bushes, and right into any sort of sharp weapon below his line of sight

His actual name is Caleb but he mainly just responds to 5-05 or shadow 5-05, he doesn't share his last name for safety reasons (and because it embarrasses him). He has something called central heterochromia (where the inside colours and outside colours of the eye are different) and his face is covered with freckles. Most of his clothes are shadow company merch, or his shadow company uniform, he's not very into "wasting" money on clothes that he "doesn't need". Most of his clothes aren't even bought by him, usually just old hoodies from his older family members (usually cousins) which he would stitch or paint shadow company stuff on (like the "I ❤️ shadow company" hoodie). This guy does not brush his hair btw, no reason for it, he just forgets to do it and when he remembers he doesn't see the point in it, he ends up with his hair all messed up because of it

He's 5'3 (short king) and probably just about average or slightly under average weight. He's from Wales (best country ever /j) too because of course he is (it's where I'm from). He's also gay & polyamorous 👍

His birthday is the 5th of November and he's 26 years old :D

Fun fact; he once had an accident where fire was involved! (the pink scars seen in the sketch are from this accident). I might go more into detail about this in the future but I will say that it has caused him some issues (I can say it was genuinely an accident, no one else was involved)

Another fun fact though! His biting obsession comes from his childhood, where he was often seen as "too weak" to fight "properly" due to being too short and too thin. He ended resorted to biting and scratching to defend himself, this got him the reputation as "the cat" (which may or may not be a source of trauma for him as he was bullied for it relentlessly). Despite that though his favourite animal remains a cat :)

Also, heres colourless/grayscale sketch of little Caleb/5-05 (he still has central heterochromia btw, I just couldn't be bothered to add the other grey to the eyes, because it's meant to be a sketch..)

Took me a while to post this here. Oops.

Ref is a bit misleading by the way. Shadow’s design is post-06, his locket is pre-Heroes. ;)

🔹Shadow is technically only about 5-years-old, having been grown in a tube for four of those years. It was only due to close calls—promptly followed by Shadow vanishing into a plume of smoke—that it was delayed for so long. Gerald and the other scientists were left confused and never found an answer to the strange events.

🔹Shadow has enhanced sight, mainly being able to see better at night than a normal hedgehog. His eyes are highly reflective because of this.

🔹Due to Shadow having been "raised" by his father and brothers, he's less angry and brooding all the time. More quiet and anxious in the beginning, only growing in confidence through Maria. Confident enough to one day strike up a conversation with another boy on the Ark. Wonder what happened to him...?

🔹When Shadow was first separated from his brothers, he fell into a depression of sorts. Maria comforted him and he eventually told her all about his family in the shadows. She surprised him a week later, gifting him a wrist locket, one big enough to conceal his crystal. Can’t let the scientists find it, after all.

🔹Shadow’s locket has a lavender engraved in it.

🔹 The locket actually was a gift from Maria’s grandmother to her, but it was broken. She asked her grandfather if it could be repaired just for Shadow.

🔹Following the reveal of Gerald’s revenge plan, Shadow has conflicted feelings on the man. Yet his locket is the only photo he has of Maria, and so he doesn’t dare alter it.

🔹 Like his brothers, Shadow does not remember what his dad looks like or even his name, beyond his eyes and voice. Shadow was never bothered by this fact when he was younger, but following the events of SA2, he wonders if Gerald found and messed with those memories as well.

🔹(✨New!✨) Shadow does not believe Black Doom at first, stating that he knows who his father is. Even after learning the truth, Shadow refuses to listen to Doom and instead sticks with the family he chose.

🔹(✨New!✨) Following Shadow 05, Shadow legally goes by Shadow Prower, like his brothers.

🔹(✨New!✨) Following Shadow 05, the Prower family gets a bigger house using both the funds Sonic and Tails have amassed over the years as well as some help from the G.U.N. commander. They intentionally get one with more bedrooms, hoping to one day share it with the rest of Sonic and Shadow's family.

🔹(✨New!✨) Shadow does not join G.U.N., now confident in the relationship he has with his brothers. Instead, he focuses on adapting to modern times. However, he does help Rouge from time to time, sometimes by the Commander's unofficial request.

Post-06 Facts:

🔹Shadow never really saw a need to change his gear from those given to him on the Ark. However, following the reunion with Silver, Amy tries to cheer the brothers up with a shopping trip! …Some mistakes were made and Tails offered to just make the gear in the end.

🔹Shadow’s shoes have retractable jets, making it easier to walk in. They are also reinforced on the top (stronger roundhouse kicking :D).

🔹Knuckle-guards and plating on his hands + arm guards along his ulna.

🔹Shadow was a bit enamored when Sonic explained what parkour gloves were. Shadow is frequently impressed with inane and random modern inventions, a sentiment Silver often shares.

🔹Shadow puts a photo of his new family opposite his late-family in the locket.

Ethereon (Redesign)

So this Post deserves a bit of context. I redesigned my Ghost-Type Eeveelution, Ethereon. But why? Well despite what it looks like from my post history, Ethereon was actually the first Eeveelution I ever drew myself as well as the first full on Fakemon I ever designed. (Only Hisuian Raichu came earlier, but that one is a regional Variant)

And since it was the first, I wasn’t yet that good. The result was that I took some shortcuts while drawing and also messed up the proportions completely. And that always bothered me, I improved a lot since then but one of my favorite designs was also arguably my worst. And so I redid it, I choose a more dynamic pose so that all four legs are clearly visible unlike before, I had it face the viewer and increased it’s head size as to better match the other Eevees. And I’m really pleased with the results. I think this design is worthy of being called my favorite and I can also see how much I improved since the first design.

Now I will say, this is not likely to happen often. I am first and foremost an author and not an Illustrator. I draw to supplement my stories and so as long as I feel the design is not completely outdated I’ll not redraw it, even if I got that much better. Still I hope you enjoyed this new version and didn’t mind my rant. Here is the rest of the Lore copied over from the old post. (You can still find that here by the way.)

Sega Mega CD - Lunar 2: Eternal Blue

Working Designs' final contribution to the Sega CD in the USA, and it's a glorious ending chapter. The finest RPG for any 16-bit CD-based system!!  Lunar Eternal Blue is a must-buy for any Mega CD owner interested in Japanese gaming. True it's an RPG and you may not be able to understand Japanese, so you'll miss half of the plot but it's Lunar Eternal Blue!

The events of the game take place a hundred years after those of the first Lunar. You control Hiro, a young treasure hunter who likes exploring various caves and ruins with his trusty companion, the wise-cracking pink flying cat Ruby (who claims to be a baby dragon). One day he meets a mysterious blue-haired girl named Lucia. She explains that she has come from the nearby Blue Star and now needs his help to defeat a dark being called Zophar. Bewitched by the girl's beauty, Hiro agrees to help Lucia and soon finds himself opposing the ruling religion of the world, and shadows from the past.

While Eternal Blue doesn't offer anything new and revolutionary to the RPG genre, it does provide a solid, traditional JRPG experience. Furthermore, it improves nearly every aspect of the original. No longer is the story about some childish "I want to be a hero!"-type adventure gone wrong, but it's a tale of a world in peril, with many plot twists and revelations that keep you playing, and a cast of interesting characters that have far more depth than the rather static ones in the original.

The graphics in the game are also quite good for its time. The character/enemy sprites and locales have a decent amount of detail, and the animated cutscenes really show what the Mega CD was capable of as a console. The music in the game is good as well, and in my opinion is nearly on par with some PS1 RPG soundtracks. Finally, the localization quality of this game is top-notch. With voice acting and tons of cool 90s pop culture references, the localization gives a certain liveliness and sense of humor that no other game at the time had. Game Arts, Studio Deen, and Studio Alex really outdid themselves with this title. For its time this was years ahead and Game Arts knew that since they later re-made it on the Saturn. Beautiful animation scenes, voice-driven dialogs, and wonderful music make this a truly magical experience.

Unfortunately, every single gaming store around the world knows this which results in Lunar Eternal Blue on the Mega CD being quite expensive. I've seen this on sale for as much as the price of a fully loaded 1TB iPhone 15 Pro Max (RM 8,500)!! That's more than many shooters on the Saturn sell for. Luckily, I got this copy with a set of other goodies including my current basketball, earbuds, Sonic keychain, and shoes for less than RM 650 (^v^) Quite a lot for a 16-bit CD RPG, but anyway. I'm absolutely happy.

The game comes complete with world map and a CD single that features two vocal tracks and a short radio play. This Premium CD single is not included in the Working Designs American release. The tracks are:

Pittsburgh is a small faire, but the musicians are still great. We could only spend one day there, so we didn't see them all. We did get to see The Reelin' Rogues, The Craic Show, Sarah the Harpist (Sarah Marie Mullen), and just as we were leaving at the end of the day, Magnus and Maggie.

Technically, I should have been in my second year of college at NYU. 

Like any other sensible student at the uni, I was supposed to be sitting in Fashion Design class at the front of the room, my eyes tracking the teacher like a hawk, ink-stained fingers furiously scribbling down notes. Or maybe eating steamed vegetables in the cafeteria while my friend Julie called in during her break.

However, I was currently in none of those places, doing none of those things.

I was standing on the Brooklyn Bridge, ready to dive into the East River. And like any other teenage maniac done with their life, I had no intentions of resurfacing.

I breathed in my last breath of fresh air, double checked my phone, and jumped in.

“The last one is always for you, Red.”

“Is it? Maybe it would’ve been better to say the first was mine. That’s slightly more romantic.” I smiled.

I closed the book I was reading and stood, sifting through the crowd that poured from the doors as soon as they opened.

“Red! Over here!” Ayden waved, although he didn’t have to. It had only been a couple of months, but Ayden would always be on my radar. We drew to each other whenever, like not even miles could keep us apart.

“How was the game?” I asked. Ayden was the captain of the football team. 

He scratched at his blond hair. “Pretty good. We beat the Lions by two touchdowns.” He leaned down slightly to kiss my cheek. “I’d say a celebration is in order. How does Chinese sound?”

“Perfect. Let’s do it.”

He doesn’t see it coming.

It hits him head-on, the squeal of tires and rounds of screams echoing like a horror movie.

Ayden’s eyes are open, unseeing, blood trickling down his forehead.

I watch from above, like Death ready to reap a soul.

The world spins and I wake, shaking off the sensation. 

But when I fall asleep again, the dream continues, undeterred.

And it plays over, and over, and over, his death an endless cycle on repeat.

It never stops.

I scrub at my eyes as I lay marigolds before the headstone.

He didn’t deserve this. He didn’t do anything wrong. Those low-lifes are sick. They were responsible. Not him. Not Ayden.

An idea forms in my head.

Death, well, there’s still time for that.

If I hurry, I can make it before the pawn shop closes. I can get my revenge.

“The money wasn’t-” He stops when I draw my knife. 

Their screams echo into the night like blaring sirens on the wind.

I step out of the building, wiping the blade on my jeans, satisfied.

On April 8, 2024, North America will be treated to a spectacular celestial event: a total solar eclipse. This eclipse will be visible on the east coast side of the North American continent, including parts of the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

During the total solar eclipse, the Moon will pass directly between the Earth and the Sun, casting its shadow on the Earth's surface. As a result, the sun will be completely hidden and the area within the total eclipse will be shrouded in darkness for a short period of time.

The total eclipse zone, where the total eclipse will be visible, will extend across North America and will provide excellent viewing opportunities for millions of people. Cities within this path, including Dallas, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Buffalo, and Montreal, will experience the full eclipse.

For those lucky enough to be in the path of totality, witnessing the total solar eclipse will be an unforgettable experience. The sky will be dark as twilight, stars will be visible, and the corona, the outer atmosphere of the sun, will be visible as a shining halo around the sun that is no longer visible.

Outside the range of the total solar eclipse, a partial solar eclipse will be visible, in which only part of the Sun will be covered by the Moon. This partial solar eclipse will be visible over a much larger area outside of the East Coast.

The total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 promises to be a breathtaking event that will bring people together to marvel at the beauty and wonder of the universe. For those interested in astronomy or simply wanting to witness one of nature's most awe-inspiring phenomena, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Finally, never look directly at the sun. Don't be stingy with the price tag, and purchase glasses and filters that are officially sold as "for solar eclipse viewing" with special eclipse glasses or shades that include a light-reducing filter to observe the sun with the naked eye.

Intriguingly, the echoes of the experiments have even reached Denmark, hitting close to home for lead singer Dion. Today I introduce you to Hiveon, my Bug-type Eeveelution. The design was mainly based on bumblebees, as they'e probably the most huggable insects, though Moths and Spiders also had some influence on them. I hope you like it.

Body Type: Quadruped Footprint: Pokédex entry: Hiveon cares about few more than those it concideres part of it's Hive. Due to it's simple Nature it's concidered dump by many.

Evolves from Eevee when trying to evolve via any evolution stone while a Ghollectabee is in the same party. This also causes the Ghollectabee to evolve.

Hiveon are considered very simple Creatures and are as a result not bothered by many things. They like flowers and Grass-types although these same Grass-types are often not to thrilled by them. As theyprobably have one of the most unique evolution methods, directly linked to the presence of another Pokemon, they tend to have a very close relationship to the Willow Wasp that evolved alongside them.

One of the few Pokemon they don’t get along with is Wyveon, as they often look down on them because of it’s lack of power and drive to achieve anything big in life. Not many trainers choose to train a Hiveon, as they’re arguably weak and bug types aren’t that popular in the first place.
