Basic Story

- Starts right after Mia's murder. Mia's murder was never solved (Phoenix was able to prove Maya was innocent since Payne was such a bad prosecutor but the real killer was never found)

- soon after, Morgan Fey is arrested for attempting to murder Maya; Maya unburies the documents of ownership of the farm and her, Phoenix, and Pearl leave the city to start new lives

- the farm was Kurain property but was abandoned and fell into disrepair after the DL-6 scandal

- the Pelican town Joja Mart is run by the Von Karmas (not illustrated but Gumshoe is store security) who run it like a military base

- Phoenix used to come to the valley during vacations as a child and became Edgeworth's friend- stopped visiting at some point but never forgot him

- events unfold as usual in stardew

- its revealed that Manfred murdered Gregory, who was mayor of Pelican Town and trying to stop Joja; Lewis came out of retirement to take over and was a pushover to Von Karma

- Manfred is arrested and Edgeworth goes through his unbastardization arc

- game ends with him married to Phoeinx, living on the farm and mayor of Pelican (BECAUSE I AM AN OFFICIAL LEWIS HATER!!!) (and Pierre but that's irrelevant) (and clin-)

IDK man, maybe SNL has always been full of great episodes and bad episodes and mixed episodes that have both shining skits and flops you don't remember, and you just forgot the bad ones from back in the day because of recency bias. And also maybe some of the hosts just care and try way less than others, or have their own ideas about what the skits should be about, and the writers are doing their dang best with what they have to work with.
