First Time Oral | Arcane Women
headcanons for the first time you eat them out
•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•
genre: smut (minors dni)
characters: ambessa, caitlyn, grayson, mel, sevika, vi
cw: fem!reader, dom!ambessa, reader works at a brothel in grayson's part
•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•
Ambessa Medarda
You've been training together. Both of you are sweaty and out of breath, and adrenaline is pumping through your veins. You didn’t plan for anything to happen, but in the heat of the moment, Ambessa let her instincts take over. She manhandles you into laying down for her, growling into your mouth as you enthusiastically kiss her back.
There's something otherworldly about the grip Ambessa has on you. You listen as she guides you on how to please her. Her rough hands direct your mouth over her chest and down her abs. She offers you praise where you deserve it, eating her out like she's your last meal. The dynamic comes naturally to the two of you. As expected, she makes you work for the praise, but she won't leave you unsatisfied.
✩♬ ₊˚.✂️⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Caitlyn Kiramman
Another ‘heat of the moment’ thing. Early in your relationship, Cait is in a particularly bad mood, and her flaring temper riles you both up to the point where the only way to calm down is to work the frustration out of each other. You pin her against a wall, telling her to shut up and pulling her into a rough kiss. She takes over pretty quickly, dragging you to bed and pushing you down.
Cait crawls over you, pussy hovering over your face. When you tell her to sit that pussy on your tongue and ride your face, she obeys. She's eager in her actions as she rocks her hips. She works out the last of her energy on you, finally calming down as your tongue draws out a sorely needed orgasm.
✩♬ ₊˚.✂️⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Grayson
Every woman has her vices. You work at the brothel in Zaun, where she's your regular customer. At first, her visits consisted of venting conversation and Grayson pleasuring you in return for lending her your ear.
One night, she comes to you, in need of far more than you usually give. She's stressed beyond words; she's so tightly wound that once you get your pretty face between her muscular thighs, she cums embarrassingly fast. Your tongue, which is usually offering her praises and affirmations, laps at her pussy, draining the frustration from her body with every flick of your tongue.
✩♬ ₊˚.✂️⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Mel Medarda
After your third date with Mel, she takes you back to her place. You had so much fun over dinner that you couldn't possibly say no when she invited you in for one more drink. It takes you five minutes of small talk, but Mel eventually gets tired of beating around the bush and pulls you into a kiss. This isn't the first time you've kissed her, but there's something else there, lingering underneath your skin.
Mel pulls you to her room, asking you if you're ok with the development. When she gets a verbal yes from you, she gets to work on undressing you. Compliments fall from her lips as she does so, intent on making your first time together memorable and comfortable. You undress her at the same time, making sure to appreciate every inch of skin she bares to you. She's beyond breathtaking, and you make sure she knows exactly how you feel by taking charge and laying her down beneath you against the sheets.
You kiss down her body, and when you reach her thighs, you sink your teeth in. “You're so fucking hot”, You grunt, kissing over the teeth mark. Finally, you lean in, kitten-licking her clit. You eat Mel out with vigour and enthusiasm, conveying how much you've waited for this to happen.
✩♬ ₊˚.✂️⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Sevika
You two don't get much time alone; Sevika is a busy woman. Things between the two of you haven't gone much further than steamy make-outs in alleyways, just out of sight of the other zaunites crowding the streets.
When the night grows quiet, and Sevika has no responsibilities left for the day, she's all over you. She needs the skin-on-skin contact. As much as she hates to admit it, she needs you. She confides in you and asks you for help, and it's so out of character for her that you agree immediately. Just once, she wants to feel as safe and protected as she makes others. She's relatively quiet as you work, only letting the occasional moan slip through, but you know she appreciates your mouth on her by the way her thighs close around your head.
✩♬ ₊˚.✂️⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Vi
She's nervous. She's gone down on you but rejected you when you offered to return the favour. It's not that she doesn’t want you; it's more that she's not used to receiving and doesn't want to pressure you. When you finally clock on and confront her about it, the best way to ease her mind is to show her how much you really want it.
You lick and suck at her clit as you push two fingers inside of her. You're willing to make her cum as many times as she needs to understand how much you like giving.

another actor au where reader gets injured on set and ofc the others being worried af ☹️ (vi and caitlyn being the most worried 🫶)
sticks and stones ; caitvi x reader
note : omg my first ask yay! anyways, i just wanted to say how much i love this omg. just imagine, caitvi fussing over you, giving you the princess treatment *explodes* this is lowkey poorly written tho, it's my first time writing with two love interests. i mean i could have made it platonic but where's the fun in that.
content warning : blood, minor injuries, swearing,
“cut! get the medics in here right now!”
you had no idea how this happened. a second ago, you were literally in the middle of acting a scene out with ekko in the firelight hideout. next thing you know, you twisted an ankle and fell 10-15 feet to the ground. thankfully, the leaves and branches from the tree (of the firelight hideout) broke your fall, leaving you with a few scrapes, bruises, and possibly a broken ankle.
when vi saw your body hit the cold hard floor she bolted, shouting for someone to get any medical professionals on the set. it took cait a couple of seconds to register what just happened, when it finally dawned on her she immediately followed vi. if people didn’t take notice that something was going on between the three of you, well… they’d probably notice it now. vi kneeled beside you, her hands cupped your cheek gently as she checked your head for any injury. thankfully, you only had a couple of cuts on your cheek and nothing too serious (you also may or may not have a small bump on your head that can be taken care of with some nice cold compress).
“is she okay?” cait exclaimed, she was out of breath and was ready to dial 911. before vi could answer, the medical team finally arrived. they ushered cait, vi, and your cast mates away as they loaded you on the stretcher and into the make-shift clinic tent on set.
it’s been almost an hour since vi and cait camped out of the tent. the two were practically about to explode, they were just so worried about you. the fact that it’s been an hour and still no news about you and how you’re doing concerns them. when the doctor examining you finally exited the tent (and quite literally almost bumped into them), they wasted no time bombarding the doctor about your condition.
“she’s doing fine ladies,” the doctor smiled. “just a couple of scratches, a bruise here and there, and a sprained ankle.”
vi’s face fell and cait was practically chewing nails.
“how long will it take for her to recover?’ cait asked worriedly.
the doctor gave her shoulder a pat, “it’ll take two to three weeks for the ankle to heal. then another week for her to get used to walking on it again.”
“how should we treat the ankle? does it need cold or hard compress?” vi demanded, poor girl was stressing the fuck out.
“use a cold compress for a week or until the swelling has gone down, then hot compress to help with blood flow. elevating the sprained ankle helps minimize the pain as well.” the doctor added before heading out, leaving the two girls to enter the tent.
watching the scene unfold was ekko and powder. they hung out beside a food truck next to the medical tent, fully overhearing the conversation that just unfold. “i sure hope (name)’s doing alright.” powder murmured, resting her head on her boyfriend’s shoulder. ekko nodded in response, “i sure hope so. i imagine dealing with those too will be much more painful than dealing with the sprain.”
powder let’s out a laugh and shook her head. “ekko! that’s so mean.”
“it’s true though,” ekko shrugged then rested his head on powder’s. “i swear, those three have a weird relationship.’
“we listen, we don’t judge ekko.”
when the doctor left the tent to give you some privacy, you almost burst into tears. the cuts didn’t hurt, the bruises didn’t hurt, and the sprain was bearable. it’s the fact that filming will have to be pushed back a bit due to your sprain. you wouldn’t be able to stand on that foot at all until it heals, the doctor already made a note that you need at least a month and a half to fully recover. the director and producers weren’t pleased, but they did understand and didn’t want to push you since you are one of the most hardworking actors on set.
the tent flap rustled open, pulling you away from your thoughts. caitlyn and vi entered the tent, both had worried looks on their faces. they sat on opposite sides of the stretcher where you laid.
"how are you feeling?" cait asked, taking your hand and holding it. you sighed and shrugged. you didn't want to talk, especially to vi and caitlyn. you just know that the moment you open your mouth the dam will break, you already feel sorry for yourself and crying will make it worse.
"cupcake," vi said as she cupped your face in her hand. she tilted your head to look at her. "you know you can tell us anything right?"
you closed your eyes as you leaned into vi's touch, your hand gripping caitlyn's a little bit tighter. "i just- if i talk about it i'll cry and it'll make feel worse." your voice sounded so small and hurt, it made cait and vi's heart ache.
cait pressed a kiss to your hand, "if you don't want to talk we won't force you, but you need to let it all out eventually. bottling your feelings isn't healthy at all." vi nods in agreement, she squeezed your cheeks before bending down to press a kiss on your forehead. "if you need to cry, cry. you have our shoulders to cry on, cupcake."
you closed your eyes and let the tears fall.
caitlyn and vi stayed true to their words, they comforted you and stayed in the tent until they were kicked out by the producers. when you were finally alone, a smile adorned your lips. your girlfriends were right, letting it all out did make you feel ten times better.
after today's shooting was done, caitlyn and vi took you home. cait went ahead and started cooking dinner while vi carried you to your room, making sure your foot was elevated. for the next month and a half, they barely left your side (unless they were needed for filming). they never let you do anything, you were basically confined to your room. as much as you hated being useless, your protests were ignored by cait and vi. it didn't matter though, at least you're ankle is almost healed and being babied by your girlfriends felt good anyways.
note : well that sucked LMAOOOO sorry anon

m.list. | arcane m.list.
‣ caitlyn wasn't oblivious to the way the pair of arms slung around her waist would tighten whenever you thought she’d be the be first to let go. or how you always pressed your face further into her chest, an ear aligned to where her heartbeats for you, as if you’re trying to encode the rhythm into your memory. and the most heartbreaking, how when you finally release her from the hug and meet her gaze there’s tears daring to spill from your waterline, eyes glazed over and a forced upturned smile to show that you’re fine. she knew that you were going home to see your family for the holidays, that it would be a joyous thing, something that you’re bouncing off the walls for, you rarely see your family much since moving out permanently. but the wreck you become when you go home startles her, and she knows it’s far more than you missing her for a few weeks.
‣ not much can set caitlyn on edge, but the nerves of asking if you’d like to spend christmas with her, just her, no parent, certainly sets her off.
clicks and clanks fill the room mixing with the content of the two of you enjoying yet another home cooked meal made by caitlyn. you’d just resumed classes from fall break when she called you asking for dinner and a weekend together, you agreed, of course.
looking from across the dining table cait’s brows are furrowed as she pushes the remanence of her food back and forth on her plate. she’s clear in deep thought and has been quiet for most of the evening which is unlike her. the stoic stature she puts on for work quickly fades away the moment her eyes land on you and she becomes the familiar chatter bug you know and love.
your clothed foot searches for hers underneath the table, and when it does you bump into it, your foot tickling up her ankle. upon this intrusion cait’s attention focuses on you, her eyebrows lifting and a small smile forming on her face, her eyes lifting from her plate, the foot you attacked fights back.
“you're quiet tonight.” you begin.
“i've been meaning to ask you something.”
oh. straight to the point.
as if cait could sense your panic, her foot stops wrestling with yours, instead laying it to rest against yours in hope you would stop too. “it’s nothing bad, i promise,” she rushes. “i maybe shouldn't have worded it bluntly.” grimacing at the worry she enacted in you.
“you think? nearly gave me a heart attack.” your wild thoughts nearly get the best of you.
“it's just,” cait pauses, gathering her thoughts. “it's a huge step in our relationship.”
“we've already had sex, cait.” you joke, and caitlyn chokes on her spit at the shock of your dirty words. reaching out and takes a brief swig of water, her eyes narrow towards you. “‘m just playing with you. couldn't help myself.” you're once stilled foot becomes alive again, soothing up cait’s ankle to about mid calf before going back down and repeating the action.
she hums, setting her glass down. “such a dirty mind of yours.”
“and whose fault is that?” you argue. caitlyn corks an eyebrow up, challenging you at the next words to fall from your mouth. “you've created a crazed monster.” she couldn’t deny the sense of pride swirling throughout her chest at your words.
“minx.” she mutters, her lips twitch upward. it’s such a minuscule movement, blind to the normal eye, but apparent enough for you to catch.
for the first time in a hot minute you place your feet flat on the ground, placing your hands to the edge of the table, the screech of the chair against the wooden floors fills the room.
standing up and making your way towards caitlyn, around the corner of the table. satisfied when you spot that cait had already made space for you. when you're in reach a hand curls around your waist to pull you into her lap, much like how an owner pulls their cat to lay within their lap. slinging an arm around cait’s shoulder to the back of the chair, while your other hands rest on the back of her neck, her dark navy hair pulled into a ponytail so you're able to toy with the wisp of her baby hairs at the nape of her neck.
“did i ruin the mood?” you pout, a tinge of nervousness bubbling up once again that you had taken away caitlyn’s moment to be vulnerable.
“god, no. you've made the atmosphere lighter, darling.” she assures, giving your waist a small squeeze and flashing a tight lipped smile. there’s a glint behind her eyes that makes you doubt her words.
“for what you were going to ask me?”
caitlyn hums, her gaze flicking down to the hem of your sweater, taking the soft material between her perfectly manicured fingers, coming between her thumb and index finger to rub at the hem. “what i wanted to ask was if you’d be interested in spending christmas together,” bringing her full attention back up to your face, the glint now masked by the softness of her eyes. “just the two of us.”
you stare at your girlfriend with wide starstruck eyes, this is definitely—no doubt—a big step for your guys’ relationship. the only holidays you and caitlyn have spent together is, well, valentine’s day, and the cringey other dates throughout the year like national girlfriend day, dates that caitlyn hadn't known about before you. “just the two of us?” you grin.
“is that okay?” she mistakes your grin as a teasing grin, and although it slightly is one, it's a toothy grin that shows off your whites, pushing up your face and makes your cheeks hurt, in a good way.
“it's more than okay, i’d love to.”
now there’s a grin that mirrors your own, flashing you the tooth gap that you adore. her fingers release the hem of your sweater, sneaking underneath the material pulling you flesh against her. lips meeting into a tender needy kiss.
when you pull away, you rest your forehead on hers. “that’s what you were so nervous about?” you ask, corking your head to the side, amused at how nervous she was to ask you to spend your first big holiday together. finding her too cute.
“was scared you were going to say no.” she confesses, you kiss her again.
“i could never say no to you.” it's the truth, but there's a little looming thought forming over the top of your head; you'd have to figure out a way to break the news to your parents.
‣ that weekend you and caitlyn had decorated her house, pulling the boxes from out of the dark space within her house to settle them in the living room. putting on the charlie brown christmas album to add to the ambiance as the two of you get into the holiday spirit. fluffing out the pined branches of the false tree, the endeavor of adorning the green of the tree with the various decorations of lights, tinsel, and ornaments begin. when it's deemed almost perfect, caitlyn hands firmly grip onto your waist to help you balance yourself on a chair as you place the simply stunning gold star on top to finish the tree. when the sun sets and the moon illuminates the sky you yank caitlyn to the tree polaroid camera in hand, falling into natural position with each other; one picture smiling at the camera, snap! and another kissing as the lights wrapped around the tree create hazy glowing halos on top of your heads, snap!
‣ it seemed as though each time you visited caitlyn’s home the presents beneath the tree kept growing, all wrapped neat and crisp with little tags signaling that they're from cait herself. they made the small pile of presents dedicated to her from you look puny. she self admittedly spoils you often, it's one of her love languages; gift giving. she enjoys being the person who splurges on you, who gives into any little item you desire. in her eyes she's making up on all the times you decided not to get something, and with the amount of money she has in her bank account and all the charity and donations she does, she could get rid of some of the money rotting away, and who else better to spend it on than you? as much as she enjoys it, and as much as you're grateful for it all it's still something that's hard to digest. that someone is willingly spending their money on items and gifts for you, not out of circumstance or special occasion (although you guess christmas is a special occasion) but out of self want and love for you. it’s the side of a coin you've never seen before, coming from a family who was never as well off as the kiramman’s and being a child, and now an adult who still makes up the lavish gifts you can't afford with handcrafted gifts.
‣ you were running away, trying to escape the countdown to christmas day that was becoming shorter and shorter. still yet to inform your parents that you won't be home for christmas, dodging the question “what day will you be coming home?” whenever it’s brought up by either of them. even avoiding it whenever caitlyn asks how your parents took the news “uh, they don't know yet.”
well now they know. you hadn't planned on telling them today, you hadn't even planned on a day to tell them to be truthful. and now as you're curled up against caitlyn you're anything but focused on the movie that was put on.
“now you're the one being quiet.” caitlyn pipes out, recalling a few weeks ago to when you called her out on the same thing.
“my parents called before i came over,” your words prompt caitlyn to reach for the remote, clicking a button and pausing the movie. “i told them that i won't be home for christmas, or well they worked it out of me.”
from beside you cait sits up, disrupting your slumped figure to also sit up. “how’d they take it?”
“not well.” your response is short and to the point, and ‘not well’ is honestly the best way you could've said that they completely and utterly flipped out on you. eyes wandering around the room and passed caitlyn’s head to avoid making any form of eye contact with her. you already didn't cry on the phone with your parents; too used to their treatment, and you weren't going to break down now in front of your girlfriend.
however, caitlyn’s cerulean eyes bored into your avoidant form. “look at me, my darling.” her mellow tone contrast the brashness of your parents, the difference alone makes tears prickle along your waterline. swiftly tucking your head over your shoulder, shielding yourself from caitlyn’s gaze, knowing that if you dared to look at her, tears would come pouring down your cheeks in thick streams.
“darling,” a cool hand raising to caress at your warm cheek, trying to get you to unveil yourself to her. “look at me, please.” shutting your eyes you let the hand on your cheek move your face for you, not strong enough to do it yourself. it's quiet at this point, and you know now that you're “looking” at caitlyn, or well caitlyn is looking at you; feeling defeated at the quickness of your strong facade washing away, tears wetting your cheeks.
“open your eyes, love.”
“i didn't think they'd be that upset.” you sigh, letting the words fall from your mouth, still keeping your eyes shut tight.
“oh, darling—”
you cut cait off. “please. don't pitty me, cait.” a moment of silence passes and you open your eyes, being met with caitlyn’s. she wants to speak up, wants to console you, but she knows you need to get it out of your system. “there's no use for my tears over them. they’ve always been the same and will stay the same, it's been that way for years. don't even know why they're so upset over me not coming home, i’ll just end up being ignored anyway.” you explained, feeling your walls being built back up as you become defensive over the topic of your parents and their not—so—nurturing nature towards you.
there's a beat before caitlyn fully gathers what she wants to say. “i’m not pitying you, darling. you’ve never spoken of your parents behavior towards you before, but i've noticed how you mood dulls whenever you go home. it's clear that being around your family drains you while they don't even give you a second thought. it's not fair to you.”
the hand on your cheek remained, sliding down the column of your neck to rest, her thumb rubbing at your jaw, her other hand coming up to the same position and matching the action of the other. the sincerity of her words cause even more hot tears to rush down from your eyes. “you deserve the utmost respect and love.”
it eats you alive, but you must ask, hanging your head low. “you really think that?” tone hushed and meek.
“respect and love?” she questions, her own tone matching yours because just as much as you're intuned with her she's intuned with you and what you need. watching as your head reluctantly nods. and once again she utilizes her hands on your face to push your head up, allowing her to see you in all your puffy faces glory.
“my darling, i believe you deserve the world.”

the sweetest taboo — arcane (league of legends) !
⟢ content summary. tropes & relationship headcanons with arcane characters
⟢ characters. vi, jinx, cait, ekko, jayce, viktor
⟢ authors note. love making cute little stuff like these, thx sm for this request anon <3
vi & enemies to lovers (imagine vi joined the firelights instead of the pigs)
you wanted to see her fall so badly.
from the moment ekko introduces you to vi, there’s no denying the tension between you. whether it’s a disagreement about how to handle a situation or something personal, you're constantly at odds.
every conversation feels like a challenge, and you’re always testing each other’s limits.
in every interaction, there’s a fight—both verbal and, occasionally, physical. she doesn’t pull any punches, and neither do you.
you and vi are paired up for a high-stakes mission that requires precise planning and execution. what could possibly go wrong?
vi, not used to following orders, pushes back against your every suggestion, questioning your methods and trying to take shortcuts.
you feel your patience wearing thin as vi constantly does things her way, disregarding your carefully laid plans. every decision becomes a battleground—she insists on rushing in without thinking, while you want to take your time and survey the situation first.
by the end of the mission, you’ve somehow made it through despite the odds—frustration, arguments, and near-failures (and death). the sense of accomplishment feels sweeter because you did it together, even if it wasn’t easy.
as the two of you spend more time together, you start to see past the tough exterior that vi puts up. In rare moments, she shows a vulnerability that surprises you. maybe it's in the middle of a fight where she hesitates, or maybe it's in a quiet moment when the chaos around you both settles, and you see her exhaustion—physical and emotional.
these glimpses into her real self make you start questioning the assumptions you had about her. is she really just a hothead, or is there more beneath the surface?
after a particularly gruelling mission, you both find yourselves sitting in silence, patching up your wounds. vi’s usually the first to crack a joke or make light of the situation, but tonight, she’s quiet. you notice her rubbing the scar on her arm, and you can see the tiredness in her eyes. for the first time, the animosity between you feels a little lighter. you don’t say anything, but you sit in comfortable silence, the distance between you shrinking.
you’re both forced to work together more often, and as time goes on, you begin to realize that vi’s brashness and unpredictability balance out your nature. when you argue, it’s less about who’s right or wrong and more about learning to adapt to each other’s methods.
slowly, you start realizing that you rely on her just as much as she relies on you—she covers your blind spots, and you bring stability to her chaos.
she jumps into the fray with reckless abandon, and you follow her lead—trusting her instincts for the first time. when the dust settles and you both make it out alive, you catch her looking at you with something unspoken in her eyes. she gives a half-smile and you cannot stop thinking about it for a few weeks.
you start noticing small things. vi isn’t as quick to argue with you anymore; in fact, she starts making little sarcastic remarks and playful jabs that are different from the insults you used to exchange. the teasing becomes more frequent, but there’s an undercurrent of something more intimate now. she might nudge your shoulder when she’s pleased with something you did, or shoot you a smirk when she catches you staring at her for a little too long.
jinx & fish out of water
even though you feel out of place in zaun, jinx instinctively feels the need to protect you. seeing how uncomfortable you are in the chaos of zaun, jinx acts as a shield, drawing attention away from you when things get dangerous, whether it’s with hostile locals or threats from other groups.
jinx might not be the most traditional teacher, but she guides you through zaun's tough environment. she shows you the ropes, from how to barter with street vendors to how to defend yourself if things get physical.
your differences are stark when it comes to how you approach danger. jinx is spontaneous and unpredictable, while you are more cautious, always thinking about the potential consequences.
this sometimes leads to tension, especially when you're trying to slow jinx down from acting on a wild idea, but it also shows how you balance each other out.
jinx’s chaotic nature is overwhelming at times, but it also brings out a side of you you never knew existed. where you once clung to stability, you now find yourself caught up in jinx’s wild adventures, learning to enjoy the rush and thrill of unpredictability, even if it scares you.
despite the wild, chaotic surroundings, you and jinx share moments of unexpected intimacy. whether it’s sitting side-by-side in the dark, sharing stories about your lives before the downfall of zaun, or lying next to each other after a rough day, these moments make you realize that you’ve found something real in the madness.
jinx expresses her affection in her own unique way. sometimes it’s in the form of an impulsive kiss or an unexpected act of care, like fixing your hair or bringing you something she thinks will make you smile.
ekko & second chances
the fight that tore you apart wasn’t just words—it was emotional, raw, and devastating. maybe ekko was so focused on his mission for zaun that he pushed you aside, saying something hurtful like, “this is bigger than you and me—you wouldn’t understand.”
the words lingered, and no matter how much you wanted to stay, it felt like ekko had chosen his crusade over you.
years later, you’re mid-mission in piltover, tracking a stolen resource. you hear his voice before you see him.
his voice is a mix of shock and disbelief when he realizes it’s you. you turn, and there’s ekko—older, sharper, with an air of maturity, but his wide eyes and hesitant smile are pure nostalgia.
ekko doesn’t immediately try to explain everything—he’s smart enough to know it won’t fix things overnight. instead, he focuses on showing you he’s changed.
when your equipment breaks during a mission, he’s already fixing it before you even ask.
he shows up to help, even when you don’t want him to. when you call him out on it, he shrugs and says, “you can hate me all you want, but i’m not leaving you to handle this alone.”
during a mission in zaun, you find yourselves hiding in one of your old hangout spots—a small nook under a collapsed bridge where you used to plan wild schemes as kids. it brings back old memories, and the two of you try not to comment how you do not fit in there anymore.
he gives you a makeshift communicator as an apology.
you don’t immediately forgive him, but you start to let him back in little by little. asking him for advice on a job, checking in on the firelight base every once in a while.
he let you stay the night, showed you to your old room and everything. and then you stayed the night after that. and the night after that.
when you’re working late on a plan, ekko shows up with food, claiming he “just happened to be in the area.” you roll your eyes but let him stay.
as time passes, you notice how he listens more—how he makes a point to ask your opinion and actually consider it. he’s grown, and it shows in the small, thoughtful ways he interacts with you.
during a dangerous mission, you’re cornered, and ekko jumps in to shield you. it’s reckless, but it reminds you of the boy who always put others before himself, even at his own expense.
ekko doesn’t make a big, dramatic declaration of love. instead, it’s quiet and vulnerable, like him.
“i didn’t just miss you,” he says one night, while you’re sitting on a rooftop overlooking zaun. “i loved you. i think i always did, even when i didn’t know how to show it.”
jayce & friends to lovers
inserperable. no other word to describe it.
people constantly assume you’re already a couple because you’re rarely seen apart. jayce just laughs it off, saying, “nah, we’re just close,” while you both ignore the way your cheeks heat up.
whether it’s work, errands, or grabbing food, jayce naturally gravitates toward you, like it’s second nature to have you around.
you’ve developed little routines together without even realizing it. maybe it’s getting coffee every morning from the same spot, trading lunch when one of you forgets, or walking each other home after a long day.
you two have endless conversations about everything and nothing. jayce loves bouncing ideas off you, and he’s constantly sharing his thoughts, whether it’s about a new invention or a random observation.
“does it ever freak you out how fast hextech is evolving? like, what if we accidentally invent something terrifying?” he muses while you laugh and call him dramatic.
your friendship is filled with countless inside jokes and nicknames that no one else understands. jayce loves seeing the confused looks on people’s faces when the two of you burst out laughing over something random.
jayce likes fixing things for you, whether it’s repairing something broken or building something new just to make your life easier.
he loves surprising you with practical but meaningful gifts, like a gadget he made specifically for your needs.
jayce has moments that feel a little too intimate for “just friends.” maybe it’s the way he brushes his fingers against yours when handing you something, or how he gets distracted watching you talk about something you’re passionate about.
jayce is the kind of guy who doesn’t immediately realize he’s in love. it hits him in the middle of a mundane moment, like seeing you laugh at something, and he thinks, oh. oh no.
he starts doing things he wouldn’t normally do for just anyone, like learning how to cook a dish you love or reading up on something you’re sincere about so he can talk about it with you.
he’s big on physical affection. even as friends, he was the type to give casual hugs or drape an arm around your shoulders. in a relationship, he’s almost always touching you—holding hands, leaning into you, or brushing hair out of your face.
viktor & academic rivals
he does not fuck with you at all at first.
viktor finds your work frustratingly impressive, often critiquing your methods to hide his own admiration.
the two of you are constantly debating and trying to outdo each other, whether it’s in experiments, theories, or even harmless bets (like who can finish designing a prototype faster).
he does warm up to you eventually.
not by choice, though.
it's because heimerdinger put the two of you as lab partners for a project.
mutual respect grows slowly, as viktor starts to see your perspective and vice versa.
viktor loves having late-night brainstorming sessions with you, where the two of you drink tea (or coffee, if the stakes are high) and talk until the early hours. he secretly enjoys how your conversations stray into personal topics.
he isn't one for grand gestures but shows he cares in small ways—like leaving extra parts for your inventions or staying up to help you with research, even if he’s exhausted.
he remembers every detail you mention, no matter how trivial. if you once offhandedly said you like a certain type of snack, he’ll "coincidentally" have it in the lab.
viktor gets quietly jealous when someone else praises your work too much, though he'll never admit it. instead, he'll just throw himself deeper into his own projects to "prove" himself.
you often lose track of time when working together, forgetting meals and proper rest. while viktor is typically the culprit of this, you will sometimes pull him away, insisting on taking a break. this becomes their unspoken routine, with you caring for viktor when he pushes himself too far.
if you openly compliment him—whether it’s his work or appearance—he struggles to respond and often mutters, "it's nothing," while his ears turn red.
when you catch him staring, viktor pretends to be deep in thought about something else.
outside the lab, viktor loves quiet evenings with you, reading books or sketching ideas while the other works nearby. it's in these moments he realizes how much he treasures his presence.
oh, and don't forget that he is incredibly sassy omg. like when the two of you get heated, things get heated.

Back to You Masterlist & Sweetbans Masterlist
You wake up the next morning with a pounding head. You groan and turn over onto your stomach, dreading having to open your eyes.
Your hands feel around to find your phone but can't seem to find it. You keep feeling around until you find something familiar and you do. You find your stuffed pig Pua and pull it into your chest.
The bed dips near your left hip, you let out another groan.
"Good morning to you too," Kate says as she rubs your back.
You don't respond.
Although you want to rip your head off, you can't help but feel tears begin to form. You bring your hand to catch the first tear before it falls.
"Hey," Kate says softly, as she shifts to sit on the bed and bring your head to her lap. "You don't need to be tough here."
You let the tears fall as you hold Pua and let Kate rub your back. You haven't cried like this since the early days after your break up, when you vowed to not let Caitlin have such a big affect on you. But here and now, it almost feels worse than the initial blow.
"I hate her," you say in between sniffles.
The words come out straggled and you mean them, Kate knows you mean them. But what is not said is how much you still love Cait and how you hate that you know you always will. Kate also knows how much you love Caitlin.
"I don't think I can keep doing this," you say.
"This is your dream job," Kate says softly. "You have worked so hard to get here and I know this is the last team you wanted to work for but being the head of player development is where you belong. There is no doubt in anyone's mind about that."
You know she is right.
"Don't let her take something that you were made for," Kate says and you really don't know how you ended up being so lucky to have her as your person.
"I just don't understand why it has to be here," you say. "Out of all the places - even looking overseas, I end up here. It is like the world is playing a cruel joke."
"Or maybeeee it is showing you that you can exist in a world with her but live independent from her," Kate says and you finally look up at her.
"Since when are you wise?" You say giving her a skeptical look.
Kate hits you on your shoulder and the two of you end up play fighting until you feel ready to tackle the world.
You know it is not possible to live in a world where you always avoid Caitlin, especially in the Caitlin capital of the world. Initially coming into this new job you thought you could go unseen, but the more you thought about it the more you want to be seen. Not by the world, but by her. You miss her - have since the day she ended it and you always told yourself that you would never let her in again. At the end of the day, you have to protect yourself and you stand by that. But looking at life, you feel like you are hurting yourself more by trying to keep her out of your life than letting her back in. Not nearly as much as you had before but working for the same team, you know you need to be cordial.
Being cordial with Caitlin does not mean you are allowing her back into your life.
Being cordial with Caitlin does not mean handing your heart back for her to hold.
Being cordial with Caitlin means no longer doing everything in your power to avoid her.
Come Monday, going into work you were ready to face whatever the wind blows your way - Cait included. You let your assistant Ben know that he no longer needed to make excuses and he nodded with understanding eyes.
Ben doesn't know the story - he's never asked and never will, not that you would tell. But he knows enough, has seen enough pain in your eyes and watched as you practically sprint the other direction when no.22 comes walking your way. But Ben prides himself in being great at his job and that includes knowing the boundaries of his boss.
You decide to head to the practice gym while the team is warming up. There is a home Fever game tonight and you know it is going to be a tough one, not only physically but potentially mentally considering we are playing the Lynx.
The team is in the middle of individual shooting drills and you observe as your staff works with a few of the players. You see Keith working with Caitlin and know she is taken care of. As you watch them, you notice how even after a few years Cait still has a lot of the same mannerisms she had in college. She has developed a lot, her shot selection has grown and you have seen her continue to become great in all aspects of her game. She has gotten stronger and has filled out more which you try not to think about too much outside from it being an on the court advantage.
Caitlin is locked in and you are grateful her attention is on the game instead of your presence. Once it is time for the team to head to the lockers before the game, you see Cait do a double take in your direction.
You can see the internal battle that she is facing. You never show up before games - the only time she has seen you on game day was when she stole that moment during half time. And with what happened at the Nike event, she was not expecting to see you so soon - even if it is what she has been hoping for.
Caitlin heads into the lockers, running by you in the process.
You don't trust your voice or your eyes for that matter and turn away as she passes. Your hands grip a nearby table and you take several deep breaths.
As you compose yourself and head out onto the floor, you take up space next to Ben.
"Ready?" Ben asks.
"I am here, aren't I?" You say and give him a smile.
Ben smiles and nods.
The Lynx are the first ones on the court and you find your eyes wandering over to their side. You spot the sharp shooter you are looking for and find that she is already looking your way. You give her a smile which she returns.
You stay in your spot as the teams are called and the game commences.
The Lynx come out strong, shooting 64% in the first quarter. Caitlin starts the game with 4 points in the first and you can tell she is in her head, she doesn't wear it well.
You watch the coaching staff do their job as you observe to better direct your team come next practice. Going into the second quarter, you see Caitlin chatting it up with McBride on the floor.
You don't want to think anything of it but when you see Caitlin begin to get a little chirpy and bump Kayla's shoulder you finally move from your spot. You take a step forward, not knowing what you are doing as the ref's whistles blow and Caitlin is pulled back by Hull and Howard. Kayla just waves her hand dismissing whatever Caitlin said which only causes her fire to fuel even more.
You don't know why but you feel your anger begin to boil and you want to approach Cait but know this is neither the time or space to do so.
The game continues, becoming even more physical if that is even possible. It is the last minute of the first half Kayla pokes the ball out of Caitlin's hand causing it to go flying into the backcourt. Both players go for it, colliding hard. Caitlin is laying on her back, hands above her head as she tries to catch her breath. Kayla is the opposite, laying on her stomach as she pounds her hand on the ground.
A time out is called as the refs go to the monitor and the med staff comes out to check on the players.
"She is an idiot," you mutter under your breath as you watch Caitlin get help up. You can tell she is avoiding you but you know she feels the heat of your stare.
"Do you want to talk to her?" Ben asks and you know he is offering to get her in a room during the half.
"No, that is honestly the last thing that I want to do right now," you say. "I think I would actually rip her head off."
Ben nods, trying to hide his smile. You are too busy staring down Caitlin to notice.
If anyone were to ask Ben, anger is a giant step in the right direction when it comes to you and Caitlin. But no one asks.
Caitlin comes to sit on the bench and your stare burns into the back of her head.
The refs call it a foul on Caitlin which puts the Lynx in the bonus, sending Kayla to the line. She hits both and the quarter finishes with the Lynx leading by 7.
You don't bother going down the tunnel and opt for walking across to the visitors side. Finding a spot, you wait for the team to run out. When they do, you see Kayla slow down before you have a chance to stop her yourself.
"I'm sorry," you say and wish you could say more.
Kayla firmly shakes her head no.
"You, you have nothing to apologize for," she says with a calmness and sureness that almost immediately reassures you.
"Are you okay?" You ask scanning over her as if she didn't finish out the second quarter on the floor. "It was a big hit."
She chuckles and brings her hands to hold you in place and says, "I am perfect."
Between her hands on you and the smile she is giving you, a blush creeps up your cheeks and you shy away.
"Thank you for coming to check on me, it means a lot," Kayla says and you nod.
"It is the least I can do," you say. "Watch yourself out there."
"I got you watching me, what more do I need?' Kayla says as she begins to jog out onto the floor and you wave her off with a smile.
You let her take the floor and make your way back to your spot next to Ben. It is now your turn to feel the burn of a pair of eyes staring intently at you during the final warm-ups.
"I don't know who has a deadlier stare," Ben says quietly.
"Ha ha ha," you fake laugh as you watch everyone but Caitlin.
The third quarter is just as intense as the second as the Fever bring the game back within one. They will need a big fourth quarter to secure the win and all eyes are on the all-star.
The fourth is a battle as there are seven lead changes. It comes down to the final seconds, Lynx are up by one and the ball is in Caitlin's hands. As the seconds wind up, she lets it fly and it hits the back iron - rebounded by Kayla.
The final buzzer sounds and Lynx win by one.
You watch the crowd thin out and the team's head to greet friends and family. The players eventually head into the lockers to change and head into media. You head to your office to take some notes on the game before heading out for the night.
On your way out, you pass the tunnel to the floor and hear someone. You immediately know who it is as you stand there for a second debating if what you are thinking is a good idea.
Your legs override any thoughts you have as they lead you to the floor.
Caitlin is standing in the spot she missed the final shot as Keith is feeding her the ball.
"Go home Keith," you say.
"No," Caitlin says, not looking at you as she goes for another shot - missing.
Keith gives you a look and you nod your head towards the door.
Being alone with Caitlin was not on your bingo card for today but here you are, sending Keith home so you could be alone with her.
You take his spot and feed Caitlin the ball but she just stops and stares at you. You stare back at her.
She takes a step towards you but you take a step back, keeping the same distance between the two of you. You watch as her hands come to grip the bottom of her jersey, a habit that you know she has developed to avoid touching something that should not be touched.
The two of you stand there in silence. After a few minutes you finally break the silence.
"We are not friends," you say and you see Caitlin's shoulders rise a little as if she is about to argue with you but they fall as if she remembers how the two of you ended up here.
"I can't be your friend," you say. "Not that you deserve it."
Caitlin is now looking down at her hands.
"But I am tired of whatever is going on between us," your voice is tired. You are tired.
"So where does that leave us?" Caitlin asks softly.
"Honestly?" You ask, more so asking yourself than her. "I have no idea."
She nods, taking in your words.
"But I deserve to walk into work and not be crippled with anxiety over the thought of seeing you," you say looking at her now. "We both work here. We both live here now. We are going to see each other, that's the reality of the situation."
"She is nothing compared to you," Caitlin blurts out and you breath trying to lose your composure.
"We aren't anything," Caitlin follows up. "We met a few weeks ago and I invited her because I didn't want to go to the event alone and Kate was going with you..."
"So it's my fault?" You ask, anger bubbling under your skin.
"No," Caitlin says and tries again to take a step towards you and succeeds. "Not even close."
You put your hand up to stop her moving closer and bring your other hand to rub your face.
"I know I messed up, that seems to be all I am able to do since you've arrived, but I am ready to fight. Fight for you, for us," she says.
"There is no us," you say with a little more bite than you anticipated.
"I deserved that," she says softly. "But I meant what I said - that night is the biggest mistake of my life because you are worth it. And I am an idiot for not doing this sooner."
You look up, eyes meeting hers and you know she means every word. And you know that being cordial with Caitlin is going to be a lot harder than you initially anticipated.
Next Part
AN: Well, we are starting to head in the right direction, right? Let me know what you think! And as always, thank you for your love and support 🤍

You Will Be My Girl.
caitlyn x reader.
cw: none.
an: thx @miyurimi.
the trees had always fascinated you.
you remember it so clearly, when this fixation began. your first fall, maybe? at least the first one you could remember. the trees went orange, and red, and then they became nothing when winter hit. wasnt that so beautiful? nature was recycling itself.
your favourite thing to do on these cold, autumn nights was getting up on the rooftop, staring at the stars and trying to prove to yourself that it was possible to count them all. you always came with a cigarette, coughing the smoke into the air and pretending it was gray paint being dripped into the blue water. it was art.
theres a step, and next to you, your best friend- caitlyn- sat next to you. neither of you spoke, but you both intently stared. she slowly layed down, just like you, shoulders touching. you pass over your cigarette and she inhales, but she doesn't hold it in. you laugh at her as she coughs. she hits your shoulder lightly, giggling with you.
"what are you doing up here? aren't you cold?"
caitlyn speaks, her voice kind, almost concerned. you shake your head.
"but isn't the cold nice, kiramman?"
"not when it gets you sick."
you exhale the smoke you were holding in your lungs. you watch it fade into the night, smiling as you make pictures with the smoke in the air. you turn onto your side, and she does the same. you both watch each other, not speaking, but your bodies say enough. she moves a little closer.
"you never told me what happened with that girl." caitlyn speaks, her voice teasing. she raises her eyebrow at you.
"you never wanted to know."
it was true, she never took a liking to your girlfriend. it was a relief when you two broke up, but it was gone in an instant when you both starting talking again.
"i thought you deserved better. i thought i could be better."
she finishes her sentence like its a secret, whispering the words as they fade. the cold is so much more apparent to you now.
"you... can be."
your words carry you closer to her, until your both flat against the roof, shoulders touching, knees hitting one another as you sway. you could be hers, her girl. the thought was comforting.
"you hesitated."
"hesitated? how could i have hesitated?"
you swallow. did you hesitate? no... no. you were sure, you liked her. you always have, since you were children, running up and down the block barefoot and washing your feet in the sink of her grandparents basement. the long car rides to the beach, and the cool drives back with sand stuck to your feet and getting all over your parents car. fighting over the blanket at sleepovers, even her first period. you two were inseparable, always together, experiencing every moment together and every memory being shared. you didn't hesitate. not at all.
"i didn't hesitate, cait."
"i know."
you scoff, and she erupts in laughter, rolling over and ontop of you. you laugh too, shoving her off you, dropping your cigarette.
"cait! the cigarette, you asshole!"
"it was out, anyway."
she laughs at you, peppering kisses all over you. you giggle, complaining that it 'tickles.'
"but you're so pretty, how can i not?!"
once she rolls off you, the silence consumes you both in the most comforting way. she gives it a moment, letting the silence fill the air. when she speaks, she's quiet, as if unsure.
"...i meant that, by the way. i can be better."
you swallow. she meant that. she meant that!
"i know you can."
"...will you... let me?"
shes staring at you, intensely. a small smile adorns her face, red with the cold and embarrassment, when you turn over to look at her.
"i'd be an idiot to say no to you."

vulnerable | c.f.
caitlin foord x reader | 1.9k | you didn't realise how much caitlin meant to you until a missed opportunity to be vulnerable pushes her away for good
ˏˋ°•*⁀pure angst with no happy ending for reader :) also reader has like negative self thoughts and definitely not a stable mental health and not great childhood (mentions parents not being good parents etc). arsenal/matildas!reader :)
‘You can’t keep shutting me out,’ Caitlin threw her hands up, frustrated to be having this conversation with you yet again, ‘We’re meant to be partners, we’re supposed to be able to communicate about things like this,’ her voice was shaky and started to fade away while she spoke to you. All Caitlin wanted was for you to listen to her, to listen and to see some change in your actions. Though every time she felt like her words just fell on deaf ears.
‘Cait, I’m not shutting you out,’ You sighed. You sounded more like you were trying to convince yourself of that instead of your girlfriend. For the first time since you both arrived back at your apartment you looked up at Caitlin. You couldn’t help but feel a wave of guilt knowing you were the cause of her bloodshot eyes, holding back tears that threatened to fall at any moment.
‘Bullshit,’ You looked away from her. The worst part of it all was that Caitlin could read you like you were an open book. That’s what years of friendship does. All throughout youth camps you had been each other's rock, always leaning on each other becoming almost inseparable when you were younger until the lines of friendship blurred into something more. So it’s not a surprise when she’s able to call you out on this.
It’s not entirely your fault for the way you are, at least that’s what you like to tell yourself instead of being responsible for the consequences of your actions. Your childhood was fine until it wasn’t. Until your parents' marriage broke down when you were little and all the love they held for each other turned into anger and hatred. Anger and hatred that eventually seeped into the way they treated you. They stopped showing their love towards you, not even able to recall the last time they uttered the words ‘I love you’ to you or hugged you or any ounce of affection.
At a young age you started to feel like a monster that wasn’t able to be loved. You just wanted to be good enough to be loved, but you convinced yourself that you weren’t. You weren’t good enough but maybe you could try to be. So you masked the pain throughout your teenage years and into early adulthood and gave your teammates and friends the love that you longed to receive.
Though you never really did let anyone in enough, afraid they would be able to undo years and years of masking and see the real you and then deciding to get rid of you. But that’s exactly what Cailtin had done. You didn’t plan on falling in love with anyone, especially not your best friend. You hadn’t told her much about your parents or childhood, nothing specific at least. No one, not even Caitlin knew how your parents treated you or these dark thoughts about yourself that plagued your mind.
You confided in Beth when you realised you and Caitlin had fallen for each other, afraid of what to do. Though she convinced you it was okay to let someone in enough to love you like you deserved to be loved. Trying to allow that for yourself, everything had seemed fine in the beginning of your relationship with Caitlin. But you couldn’t help the voice in the back of your head reminding you of your childhood. Reminding you that your own parents couldn’t love you so how did you expect that someone like Caitlin could possibly love you.
You knew it wasn’t an excuse but you also didn’t know how to get rid of that voice, you didn’t know how to ask for help. So you left it to grow louder causing you to continuously shut Caitlin out, despite what you actually wanted. In the start Caitlin thought you were opening up to her, that she was learning more about you things that she wouldn’t have known by being just your friend. Though she was quick to learn that you had mastered the art of seeming like you were being vulnerable without actually telling her anything too personal.
This wasn’t the first time she had confronted you about this. Each time you promised her that you would try harder, assuring her that your relationship was important enough that you could work through whatever it was that had you shutting Caitlin out and pushing her away. You had been trying, you wish how much you could actually tell Caitlin that you were trying, wanting her to be able to see through you and notice your silent struggle and plea for help. You just couldn’t find the voice to do that.
‘I can’t do this anymore,’ Caitlin broke the silence. Her voice was barely above that of a whisper but it was still loud enough to be heard between the both of you. Caitlin thought you had been making progress with her but she had instead lying to herself and trying to see something that you just weren’t doing. The love she held for you had made her start to see things in you that weren’t there. By being in love with you Caitlin was hurting herself. It pained you to see the person you love the most being affected by your actions. Even as you were about to lose Caitlin you still couldn’t break free from your mind, instead you held back your own tears, face emotionless while you tried to believe that this would be for the best.
Caitlin stared at you, tears freely falling down her face, she shook her head. She couldn’t believe she had let herself be put in this situation. With you of all people, the one person she trusted the most. Caitlin had always been the one to love the other more, so when it came to you she really thought everything was going to be different, but when it wasn’t it hurt her so much more. You not loving her back in the way that Caitlin needed you to was slowly pulling her apart. The anger was slowly rising inside herself, more angry at herself than you, ‘You’re pathetic, a coward. You can’t even look at me, did you even love me?’
Caitlin couldn’t help but voice every thought that was racing through her mind. It was the only way she could keep herself grounded instead of spiralling from the disbelief that you weren’t even willing to fight for her, for your relationship.
‘Cait-’
‘No,’ Caitlin cut you off, turning her head away from you, ‘I don’t want to hear the answer. We’re over. I can’t believe I’m saying that,’ The anger subsided and her voice fading back into an almost whisper with a slight rasp from crying, ‘I put all my trust, all of my heart into this relationship and you’re just going to let it go. This isn’t just a year of a relationship but years of friendship you’re letting go of. Do you even realise that? Do you even care because you don’t seem to,’ When you turned your head away from Caitlin and back to the ground did the realisation flood her face. Never trying to speak or deny what she was saying, Caitlin took it as though you were admitting to everything she was saying.
It wasn’t until Caitlin walked out of your apartment that you let yourself break. Falling to the ground, knees to your chest whispering out everything you wanted to say to her. Everything you wished you could have told her. Everything you never allowed anyone but yourself to hear.
It wasn’t a surprise that Caitlin avoided you where she could. It wasn’t always possible with training and the games so to make things easier on her, you had negotiated so that you could take some time away from arsenal. With the acl squad having returned to the pitch no one could deny that you weren’t needed, allowing you to take this time away from the club.
You stayed in your apartment, wallowing in your own self pity. Some of your teammates had tried to reach out and see what was going on, having noticed you weren’t showing up to training or being put on the match day roster. Since the club was vague they tried to talk to you first. Though you dismissed their concerns saying you were fine and leaving it at that. Cailtin had told the team of the breakup when talks and rumours regarding you started floating around the team. She left out most of the details so now you were left with getting messages asking how you were holding up and if you were okay.
The messages only fueled your mind, fueled the self pity you had decided to wallow in. Only being able to see all the times you broke Caitlin’s heart and realising how miserable you had made the one person you loved the most. Trying to not be anything like your parents you had only found yourself acting just like they had.
This lasted a while, even when you went back to training you kept your eyes down and barely interacted with anyone. Though one day during the off-season it was like your mind had cleared and you realised just how much you missed Caitlin. All you had been thinking about for the last month was how much you missed different aspects about her. You missed the way she would talk to you for hours on any little thing that came into her mind. You missed the way she would always try to make you laugh and smile doing silly tricks with the ball. You missed the way her eyes softened as she smiled.
You knew the team was gathering at this bar tonight, not far from your apartment. You hadn’t gone out with them in a little while and you did miss spending time with everyone, even if you had one objective for tonight it would still be fun to see them all. What Caitlin had said about you was right, but now you wanted to prove to her that you could give her what she needed without being afraid.
Greeting the team when you arrived, you were too focused on finding the one familiar face you wanted to see, that you missed the sad smile Beth had greeted you with. Subtly trying to find Caitlin’s face amongst the team, you had turned your head away from the group when you saw them together. Caitlin and Katie, sitting a little bit away from the rest and a bit too close to just be friendly. The more you pushed Caitlin away you didn’t realise you had pushed her into the arms of someone else.
Beth pushed a drink into your hand and grabbed you to sit with them, trying to focus on the conversation that was floating around you. But you were only focused on them. Engaging in conversations where you could so it wasn’t obvious. You watched them from afar, Caitlin’s head thrown back, her laugh drowning out any other sound in that bar. Your heart ached, watching what could’ve been you and Caitlin if you had allowed yourself to be vulnerable that day instead of letting her walk out of your apartment.
So you drank more than you should’ve that night, Beth and Viv helping you to their place wanting to keep an eye on you. Beating yourself up with how easy everything you should’ve done seemed now that you knew there wasn’t ever going to be a second chance with Caitlin.
It was bittersweet. Every time you saw Caitlin and Katie together from that moment in the bar, thinking how it could be you in place of Katie. Being the one to make her smile and laugh the way she did. But it wasn’t and that was something you had to live with. Though you were glad. Glad that Caitlin had found someone who could give her everything you couldn’t.

Another drabble inspired by Amanda Overton’s Valentine’s Day CaitVi Q&A. This time it’s a a look at Vi and Tobias post S2.
The first few days after the war are long and arduous, and Vi spends her time quiet and broken at Caitlyn’s bedside.
Her heart feels heavy and weary; her sister and father are gone—for good this time—and Caitlyn’s life hangs in the balance.
The only thing that keeps her from falling apart completely is the steady beep of the machines hooked up to Caitlyn’s chest, reassuring Vi that her heart is still strong and fighting.
And Tobias.
His presence at Caitlyn’s side is as unwavering as hers.
‘She’s stubborn,’ he says reassuringly when Cait emerges from surgery, his hands tentatively reaching out to brush stray hair away from Caitlyn’s face, and his fingers beyond gentle as they sweep beneath her bandaged eye. ‘Just like her mother.’
Vi swallows thickly, her eyes burning with tears as she dares to meet his gaze. Guilt coils in her chest, and Vi feels remarkably out of place. Her sister killed his wife, and now his daughter is fighting for her life and Vi feels useless and weak, unable to do anything to fix any of it.
‘I’m sorry,’ Vi mumbles pathetically, reluctantly letting Caitlyn’s hand slip from her grasp as she pushes to her feet, ready to give the Kiramman’s some well needed space now, away from the likes of her and the trouble she brings wherever she goes.
‘Don’t,’ Tobias says, halting her. ‘Stay, please.’ His smile is soft, softer than she deserves.
Cait might be her mother’s double but the warmth that surrounds Vi whenever Cait looks at her is all Tobias. His eyes radiate a tenderness so familiar to her that Vi instinctively sits back down, tethered once more from the darkness threatening to engulf her.
‘Caitlyn wants you here; she always did,’ he continues and Vi eagerly takes Caitlyn’s hand back in her own again, letting her fingers seek out her pulse, its beat steady and anchoring. ‘I’m the one who ought to apologise.’
Vi startles at his words. How could Vi possibly hold any animosity towards a man who had been clearly consumed by grief. If anyone can understand the resounding, aching, loss of a loved one, it’s her.
‘Not to me, sir,’ Vi replies kindly, and Tobias exhales deeply, clearly grateful for her understanding.
‘I think we’re moving beyond formalities, don’t you? You can call me Tobias,’ he offers kindly, and Vi nods in gratitude.
His eyes stare into her for a long moment and Vi feels herself shuffling beneath his gaze, not knowing what else to say. So much has happened. So much that Vi doesn’t even know where to start, isn’t sure she even knows the majority of it. While she’d been fighting and drinking to drown her pain, Caitlyn had been manipulated and torn apart by her own.
And now, Caitlyn lies unconscious, body bruised and broken, her wounds an open display of penitence for her sins.
‘I should have been around,’ Vi croaks brokenly, her mind drifting to thoughts of Ambessa Medarda and just how ruthless the warmongering bitch had been, how dangerously far she’d willing to go; how far she’d pushed Caitlyn to go when nobody was there to stop her getting swept away in her anguish. ‘I should have protected her.’
She remembers clocking Ambessa’s hunger for battle during the memorial attack, and feels the tendrils of blame curling around her heart like a vice, constricting so tight she can barely breathe.
She should have known better.
She should have done more.
Why does she always seem to fail those she loves?
She feels her free hand clenching into a fist at the question, her arm throbbing from where it hangs in a sling around her neck, fractured from another of her missteps. No matter what she chooses, there always seems to be a heavy cost to pay. First Powder, then Caitlyn’s mother, now Jinx. As her eyes settle back on Caitlyn’s face, she prays to whoever is necessary that they won’t punish her by taking Caitlyn away too.
‘When Caitlyn got her heart broken the first time,’ Tobias starts unexpectedly, breaking her from her thoughts and making Vi’s eyes widen in interest. ‘I was the one she came to. I held her, dried her tears.’ Vi watches his lips twitch up into a fond smile at the memory before his face falls ashen with anguish. ‘When her heart broke this time, I watched from a distance as she lost herself,’ he murmurs, shaking his head in reprimand at his own actions. ‘I was too lost in my own grief to see that she was letting her own absolutely destroy her. I failed to protect her. I let her suffer alone.’
The pain etched into the lines of his face is one Vi relates to explicitly. The guilt churns in her chest before dropping to her stomach like a heavy stone.
‘Why are you telling me this?’ Vi whispers, feeling her heart plummet.
‘Because I know how much my daughter loves you,’ Tobias answers, his eyes locking to hers, studying Vi intensely. ‘And I can see how much you love her.’
Vi sniffles at his words, stroking her fingers firmer over Caitlyn’s pulse. ‘I can’t lose her again,’ she whimpers, her voice coarse and strangled.
‘You won’t,’ he soothes, fingers stroking over Caitlyn’s face again. ‘Caitlyn never gives up easily. In fact, I think you’ll learn more and more just how damned tenacious the Kiramman women are once she wakes,’ he adds adoringly, his eyes flickering back to Vi’s. ‘Just promise me one thing, Vi.’
‘Anything,’ Vi exhales needily, knowing it’s true, she would go above and beyond for Caitlyn now that they have a second chance.
‘Don’t let her go again,’ Tobias says softly. ‘Take care of her heart better than I have. She’s her mothers daughter, yes; stubborn, tenacious, hot headed. But she’s also mine; sensitive, soft, delicate. She hides it well but she has a tender heart, it loves fully and bruises easily.’
‘I love her,’ Vi declares resolutely. There’s been so much pain and loss, but it’s the one thing left that Vi knows with absolute certainty. ‘And if she’ll have me, I’m going to spend the rest of my life guarding her heart with my own. I promise.’
‘Just as I know she’ll protect yours,’ Tobias smiles knowingly back at her, his eyes warm and comforting. ‘For as long as you love my daughter, you will always be welcome in my family, Vi.’
As the weight of his words settle over her, Vi draws Caitlyn’s hand to her lips and presses a soft, promising kiss across her knuckles. Family is all she’s ever yearned for, fought for, and she has no intention of stopping now.
Vi knows things might still be uncertain, but for the first time in a long time everything feels possible again. There’s hope for better days to come, and that’s a lot more than they all had only a few hours before.
She clings to the thought until Caitlyn wakes, her beautiful blue eye blinking open slowly and regarding Vi carefully for a moment before a smile tugs at her lips.
‘You’re here,’ Caitlyn murmurs in relief, voice thick and heavy with sleep.
Vi feels her heart swell and leans forward to kiss her gently. ‘I wouldn’t be anywhere else, cupcake.’
When Cait’s hand reaches up to cradle her cheek then, drawing her back in until their foreheads are resting together and they're sharing air, Vi knows they will find a way to start moving forwards together, no matter how difficult the road ahead may be.

Hiii love this blog and love Vi xx just wondering what your thoughts are on Vi and survivor’s guilt? Girl always wants to pin the blame on herself for everyone getting hurt :( my poor girl
thank you and yessss i'd love to talk about it !
so much, if not all, of vi's motivation throughout the show is from her survivor's guilt and the general responsibility she feels towards the people she loves. her guilt constantly effects her throughout the show and i think it’s best for me to delve into how badly it does by going through the events of the two seasons with my interpretation of how vi processed them.
——————————————————————————
in the first act of season one vi is constantly doing everything for her family because of the future she wants them to have and of the fear she has of losing them. and in an instant, all of it is ripped away from her with the death of mylo, claggor, and vander while she is able to do nothing but witness it unfold. immediately, her sense of purpose and self-worth is gone and the weight of what she could have done differently is thrown onto her shoulders with the only possible sense of relief knowing that powder is alive is taken from her when she is kidnapped by marcus and thrown into prison... now as a child being forced to defend herself in a place full of people who want nothing but cause her harm, vi does the only thing she can do to survive and that is to fight for the chance of seeing powder again.
years later and finally out of prison, vi enters back into the place she used to call home and is faced with the pain of seeing everything turn to ruin from the introduction of shimmer. people she used to recognize are now addicts searching for their next meal, the last drop is no longer a place for community, but a place for gambling and fighting, and powder isn’t powder, but jinx who is seen as the daughter of the man who let it all happen. now, vi not only faces the guilt of surviving the death of her family, but is dealing with the guilt of not being present to help her people, and more specifically powder who is struggling with her own challenges since the night that changed everything.
jumping to the end of season one, jinx has vi tied to a table with silco and is put in another situation again where she can do nothing but plead and atone for her guilt as a final attempt to get her sister back. not realizing the extent her pleading has on jinx’s trauma, her chance to reunite with her sister is gone as jinx fully embraces her identify and finishes what she started with silco: using her weapon to destroy the council. not only does this cost lives, but one of them is the mother of the girl vi has started to fall in the love with, the girl who was the first to show her kindness after years of abuse, the girl who listened to her problems and wanted to help solve them. now vi sits with the guilt of the death of her family, the destruction of her home, the “loss” of her sister, and the murder of cait’s mother.
it’s no wonder that it takes little to convince vi to join the enforcers to stop jinx. her trauma of what they’ve done to her family and her people means little to her now than it does to help cait because at this point it’s all she has left to fight for. as far as her motivations go there’s no reason for her to do something for herself because vi doesn’t feel deserving of it and in her mind all she’s done is cause destruction and this will be another opportunity for her to finally put a stop to it, hopefully turning into something good… but it doesn’t. face to face with jinx after fighting her, after wearing an enforcer’s badge, after gassing her city, after arresting people who are victims of the system they were raised in, vi still can’t go through with stopping her. both ends of her guilt are eating her alive. does she fight for the girl she loves or does she fight to still try to salvage any reminisce of the family she used to have? in the end she gets neither. jinx gets away again because of her hesitation and cait leaves. now she truly has nothing to fight for. so what else is there to do to cope other than do what vi does best: fight to numb the pain and when she can’t fight, drink to numb it even further.
months go by and vi has truly hit rock bottom when out of nowhere jinx shows up requesting her help with finding vander. the very idea of vander still being alive is ridiculous to her because there is no reason for him to be but what reason does she have to say no? now there’s a spark of motivation again for vi. although it’s riddled with disbelief, it’s enough to get her to step away from the fighting and drinking for a little bit to see if this spark can be fully ignited again. lo and behold jinx is right and vander is alive, different, but alive. not only does vi have vander back, but jinx is right by her side along with another new sister and there’s a chance that things can be good again. using blind faith from the rumors of a healer in the undercity, the girls take vander to viktor in the hopes that he can be cured from the agony he’s in. not only do things seem to be going in the right direction for them, but there’s community, there’s a sense of safety, and there’s hope that maybe vi can have a version of her life back that she lost at such a young age. it’s a chance for her to right all the wrongs she feels she’s done, that guilt doesn’t have to be the only thing that forces her to get up every morning. but just like everything else that’s happened in vi’s life, that opportunity is ripped from her again. isha and vander are killed and vi gets injured, preventing her from any possibility of stopping enforcers from taking jinx.
when vi wakes up she’s angry. how couldn’t she be? time after time, no matter the circumstances, she loses her family again and again. caitlyn is back in her life but things weren’t how they used to be and there’s still jinx to worry about. she’s needs to help her, it’s what she was raised to do. vi steals the keys from the guards and comes up with an idea for jinx to work with piltover, a way for her two worlds to coexist. her final attempt to have something good… but after releasing jinx from her cell, she’s telling vi that she doesn’t want it and leaves vi behind. all vi can do it wait. wait for the chance that jinx may change her mind and come back. wait for anyone to show up and decide what to do with her. wait and think about how she chooses wrong every time and has lost everything because of it. then cait is there and vi is ready to hear her say “i told you so”, that she screws up everything she tries to do and should just give up. instead, cait’s telling vi that she wanted her to be able to go to jinx, that no matter the outcome she would’ve been okay even if it meant losing vi. it means a lot to vi that cait picked her over the revenge cait so desperately wanted with jinx, the shock of it all is too much for her to withhold and she has to let cait know how much it means to her by kissing her. for once there’s no time for vi to stop and let her mind attack her with statements of guilt and shame. for once she’s going to let herself be selfish and be with the girl she fell in love with.
the anticipated battle against the noxians and viktor begins and vi is ready to fight. things are good with cait but she can’t say the same for jinx. there isn’t a lot of time to think about it though because the people she’s fighting with are being killed left and right. every time a person from the under city is revealed to be one of those lost is another reason for her to keep going; their sacrifices need to be worth something and their stories deserve to be told. nothing could prepare her though when suddenly she sees vander again, even more different than the last time she saw him, like any remaining parts of the person he used to be is gone. vi doesn’t know what to do but stare in horror at the man she called dad as he approaches her, ready for a fight. thankfully, just as quickly as vander shows, jinx and ekko arrive to pull vi out of her state of shock. there’s relief and hope, not a lot, but enough to get her moving and back into the fight. now she’s not only fighting to help save people, but to save her family.
standing back to back with jinx as she tells vi she’ll always be with her, vi can’t help but almost smile at the thought. maybe things will be ok for the two of them. maybe they’ll be able to walk away from the battle and even if not sticking together, maybe they can use it as a way to fix what was broken between them while they work on fixing what’s broken in themselves. jumping forward through several fight scenes, vi finds herself stuck on a ledge with an unconscious “vander”. even with the opportunity to leave and hearing jinx call her name, vi can’t help but tune everything out as she feels herself resort back to the same young girl cradling vander’s head as died outside the abbandoned factory so many years ago. “protect powder” echos in her mind and she starts to cry thinking about everything and everyone she’s lost. all of her guilt is back and she can’t even think to fight back when “vander” awakes and continues his attack; the most she can do is pull herself away and hope that however she goes is quicker and less painful than the beatings she used to get in stillwater, it’s the least she deserves. suddenly there’s a flash and vi’s body flies into autopilot as she finds herself hanging over the ledge and holding onto jinx’s arm as “vander” tightens his grip around jinx’s waist. she doesn’t know what to do but letting go isn’t an option. she’s not losing jinx again, she just got her back. vi’s heart stops when she sees jinx have a look of relief wash over her face and say she’ll always be with her; she knows what jinx is about to do and there’s nothing she can do to stop her as jinx removes the hex stone from vi’s gauntlet, releasing its grip. all of vi’s surroundings fade to black as she lies there watching everything unfold: her sister and her father falling to their deaths. vi can barely hear her own screaming over the ringing in her ears and she struggles to catch her breath while she chokes on every gasp of air she can get through her cries. she can’t recall how long she stayed there or how she left.
staring into the fire in cait’s office with a drink in her hand, it’s hard to not let vi’s mind wander with guilt. although not being able to fully remove her old coping mechanisms from her system, she’s been trying new ones to help, learning ways to take her guilt and focus on the good memories of them all. humming the song vi’s mom used to sing when she was little has been the most effective, she feels like it calms her the same now as it did back then. cait’s support has been helpful for vi too and after dealing with loss on both of their ends, the two of them have been able to get each other back on their feet and ready to continue the fight for a good cause.
——————————————————————————
ngl i did not anticipate myself to answer the ask this way but once i got started it was difficult to stop 😭 i really tried to use scenes we got for my interpretation rather than assume what happened between them because if the writers wanted us to see it then we would’ve seen it :/ i’m also not going to be talking too much more about this within this post but trying to write about vi’s arc in episodes 8 and 9 was hard for me cause there’s just too much that happened that felt weird?? idk if ooc is the best way to describe it?? maybe logical is the word i’m looking for lol and that’s all i’m gonna say for that

thoughts on cait critics.. from someone who liked caitvi more in s2 than s1.. I like messy stuff.. ya'll are boring.
I also ship jayvic which is mesy/ timebomb which is messy t to me timebomb is more toxic than caitvi cause they tried to MURDER eachother in s1 and jinx killed his friends. so people insisting that caitvi is the worse of em all confuse me.
every post against Caitlyn from arcane i feel being gaslit as they act like she murdered 100s of people and I just.. don't remember seeing that happen .. I do rem seeing Jinx murder ekkos friends/enforcers/kidnapping people .. Like one woman can commit terrible crimes but another is hated for commiting terrible crimes.. because one is rich and the other is poor
when the poor woman traumatzined the rich woman that doesn'tmatter because.. she's rich..
.. The hate for caitlyn as a poor person who does hate the Police.. it just makes no sense to me. when again one woman can commit murders and get no hate but the other woman did cait kill people? I found it a bit unclear .. gets hate for not even doing half as bad as the poor woman did.
adding on Viktor was planning to bascially kill turn people into mindless Androids and that is also snooze on by people.. REally out of every character commiting crimes. Caitlyn falls below Jinx/Ambessa/Viktor... and is the only one getting any hate for it.. So this is what arcane critics/cait haters to me are really saying. We love BAd Bitches when they're Straight Jinx/Ekko or Gay Jayce/Vik But bad bitch lesbians are bad because.. a poor woman can't possibly get with a rich woman that's oppression. and V i is her pet? like what? That's so shitty to say. caiti criticis really be out here thinking vi should just exist for Jinx in the end.
as a poor woman myself if i fell in love with a rich man/woman I'd wouldn't feel oppressed. I never saw cait/vi as oppressed and the only one who was in the way of em to begin with was Jinx and sorta Silco
.. But again it seems only the Poor can get away with Crimes and murders because they got trauma so its excusable.. but a rich person acting out of grief =evil monster. man.. for cait critics its nothing but hypocrisy and gaslighty to me by saying cait is bascially a white supresmist when the girl is Asian for one.. so the people calling her white are wilding.
to me Viktor/Ambessa/Jinx/Silco/ did way worse than Caitlyn ever did. and lets not forget Silco having Child Labor. and ruining his fellow people with drugs for his own selfish gain. . he was no revolutionary he was out for himself and sure cared about jinx but his idea of Zaun was Rulling it with an iron fist. Silco having its independence wouldnt have helped zaun at all it just let him get away with his drug spree. he was not going to save zaun he just wanted freedom to get away with hurting Zaun with his Drugs. anyway out of every character doing terrible crimes Cait to me goes in this lineup arcane Viktor for trying to turn everyone into midnless magic robots tho how much control he was in is beyond me. I like him btw esp in s1. Ambessa for killing a Kid *btw I loved her anyway she is a GILF to me * and she did a lot of horrible shit I mean everything else she did in gets pinned on Caitlyn haters give her zero agency. .. doesn't seem very proggressive to me to ignore the black woman actions but people love to do this. Silco: Drug Lord who exploited his people used child labor/ klled a CAT/ Killed his friend/ is the reason why Power/Vi lost their family in the end its kinda to bad its barealy brought up more like jinx/silco relationship was kinda weird.. it def wasn't wholesome.. it gave off harley/joker vibes to me the first time i watched it.. and I kinda dont like that he knew powders mom all along butohwell. Jinx: Murders of Firelights/ Cops you dont got to like cops I hate em too but she still killed People its still a bad terrrible thing to do/ Kidnapping/Terroist attack on a captial building when she was the one who killed silco. I dont hate her for any of it as the shimmer messsed with her head but its all so terrible and i feel s2 babied her/softened her more she felt more tame and less.. maniac .. to make her redemption more.. passible.. I was acutally looking forward to Game Jinx and got.. a tame Jinx compared to s1. /She also did gas people in Piltover/Children were seen watching it that is ignored by cait haters Caitlyn now I won't deny her gassing people is a shitty thing to do and i found it rather unclear if it killed people or not.. but i dont think she killed 100s as people keep insisting she did.. I wont defend her hiting vi I'll just say it was done after vi said she was acting like Jinx the woman notchild who killed kidnapped Caitlyn/killed her mother so acting out of grief and rage not gonna say its right it just make sense in the moment. And We also see Jinx hit Vi Twice at the end of s1 and kidnapping her own sister after knocking her out. Then in s2 jinx hits Vi when vi comes to get her out of prison and locks her in the cell instead.. So Im just seeing nothing but double standards. that boil down to Cait is rich =bad . Jinx is poor=good. when the real message of the show is.
An Eye for an Eye makes the whole World Blind..
I swear i wasn't even a big fan of caitlyn then i saw a bunch of hate that confused me. I wanted to see her go full blow Evil and Commit Terrible Terrible deeds and felt she was too tame.. but not according to tumblr purists.. she was evil I just.. missed it.. my main criticism of the show is really that her dicatorship plotwas to.. Fast. to many music vid montages/ and honestly the Au ep.. not needed Isha dies and then we get a whole new world? wasn't a fan of that.. /wanted to see Vi spiral more than a music vid too.. thats my criticism to much music vid segments.. the sex scene also made sense and vi didn't know jinx was sucidial.. she isn't the Audience I didn't even catch what jinx meant.. Cause ending the cycle doesn't =im going to commit vi prob thought it meant jinx was gonna blow something up cause that was how jinx handled grief in the past.. so no she didn't have sex knowing jinx is suicidial. she did it because.. She wanted to do it. It was the right time and not Male Gazy as aBisexual woman I thought it was Cool I enjoyed it.
man i really thought tumbr would embrace a w/w ship.. never expected it to get so much hate .. disappointing.

HELLO DARLINGS i'm back after god knows how long for a very late valentine's day fic for you!!! it's currently almost 12 a.m. for me but WHATEVER anyway i hope you enjoy this, i was literally screaming while i wrote it teehehe (also this is my gift to you in apology for the evilness i'm cooking up rn this is as sweet as you get for a while /j)
word count: 1.5k unedited 🤍
ʚ ͜ ̩͙ ︵ ̩͙ ୨ ♡ ୧ ̩͙ ︵ ̩͙ ͜ ɞ
Caitlyn Kiramman prided herself on being observant – she was the Sheriff, after all, and even her punch first think later cop instincts had yet to wash out her detective roots. Separating work from life was something foreign to Caitlyn; her work was her life and her life was her work except for the few things close to her, a list that some people would find miserably short:
1. Violet 2. Violet’s scrappy cat Ripper 3. Violet.
She was of the opinion that those things were all she really needed in life. She liked keeping her life as simple as possible; it made it easier to keep an eye on things. One person can only notice so much, even if that person is the Sheriff of Piltover.
It makes sense, therefore, that Caitlyn is currently at her limit. There is simply too much work to go around – no one has been particularly difficult in either Piltover or Zaun, and yet the reports are piling up and Cait finds herself fretting over even the mere idea of tackling the small mountain on her desk. Still, she wasn’t made Sheriff for nothing, so she cracks down on it as hard as she is able.
It’s the long days and nights spent at the station that Caitlyn blames for the fact that she hasn’t noticed a significant lack of Violet – no more fresh tea when she comes home, no warm grey eyes and rough hands with bruises that are tattooed into worn knuckles at this point. She dismisses it at first; Vi is just as stressed with work as Caitlyn is, perhaps more so with her hands-on role on the streets, roughing up whoever doesn’t listen to the Sheriff. Still, she misses it and cannot help but wonder if it’s something she’s done. Perhaps she forgot Violet’s birthday or a date they had planned or-
But no, when Caitlyn hurriedly flips through her planner in between interviews with a new batch of prisoners, there is no such forgotten event anywhere near the date. Just Valentine’s Day the next day, which Violet has never expressed an interest in. Perhaps Zaun doesn’t even have a Valentine’s Day; Caitlyn never thought to ask.
Regardless, she feels rather rotten for being relieved that she has no obligations with Vi. She loves her, of course, more than life itself, but there is just so much to do and so little time…
Still, when she arrives back home that night with a hopeful smile and three of the largest containers Jericho had available, Caitlyn is horribly disappointed to find a note in Vi’s rough-and-tumble handwriting saying simply,
Still out, be back by 10:00 - Vi
After Caitlyn has changed into a lacy, silky purple nightdress, she curls up on the couch and stares at the fire, trying to remember the last time they went out together. Surely it wasn’t that long ago; Caitlyn prides herself on being someone who does not let her relationships fall to the side (ignoring the majority of said relationships). She digs contemplatively into one of the takeout containers, sloppily filled with something Caitlyn would prefer to go unnamed. There was that time Violet brought them to a flower market she had thought Cait would like; and the time Violet brought her out to dinner at her favorite restaurant. That had been several months ago, before Caitlyn and then Vi had been swamped by work. Still, no matter how hard she tries, Cait can’t remember the last time she brought Vi somewhere.
How could she have forgotten such a thing? She prides herself on being observant, on never forgetting a thing, and yet something so important as Violet absolutely slipped her mind.
Caitlyn jabs her fork conspiratorially at her food. It’s almost Valentine’s Day, and whether it’s a Zaunite holiday or not, Violet would appreciate it, she knows. Cait grins. If there’s one thing she’s good at, it’s making plans.
♡
When Vi walks back home, it’s dark. It took her ages to get back to the station and even longer than usual to peel off her uniform and get back to Caitlyn’s penthouse. Vi knows Enforcer blues are better accepted in Piltover, maybe even liked, but she still doesn’t like strutting around in them. Makes her feel sort of like she doesn’t deserve them either way.
She gets back later than anticipated; when Vi ran back to the penthouse for lunch, she left a note for Cait that turns out being three hours off on her return time, give or take a few minutes. Vi’s not entirely sure Caitlyn is even home yet – after all, she could still be at the station, lording over her little flock of rookie recruits and sifting through paperwork for something meaningful.
Vi doesn’t like to begrudge her girlfriend of anything, but there’s something distinctly tired about them now. Vi’s been trying, but every day she has to put on her gauntlets means another day she has to focus on criminals rather than the one person who never treated her like one.
She slips as quietly as she can into the penthouse and locks the door, knowing Caitlyn is probably asleep. She always has atrociously early bedtimes, Vi thinks fondly.
Vi creeps up to their shared room and sets aside her bag, knowing Cait would probably shout at her for not putting it away. She’s too tired, so she merely tugs off her boots, jacket, and shirt and slips into bed beside Caitlyn’s immobile form.
She settles her arm around Caitlyn’s waist and wonders selfishly for a moment if she went to bed missing her. What kind of stupid question is that? Caitlyn’s said multiple times, made a point out of it, even, that the Kirammans aren’t sentimental people. But Vi isn’t a Kiramman, not yet and maybe not ever, fully, at least. And she’s nothing if not sentimental; sentimental like a sinking ship, she always said.
♡
Caitlyn spends the next day full of nervous anticipation. She’s excited in a way she hasn’t been in quite some time; it seems that she needed an excuse to spend time with Vi in more ways than one.
She knows Vi would insist that she needs no excuse; they are dating, after all. The way she says that kind of thing so easily makes Caitlyn’s stomach get all fluttery, always said in the same warm, proud tone as when she calls Cait her girl. Even now as she sits in her obnoxiously opulent office, she feels like a little girl with her cheeks flushed and her heart close to bursting out of her chest.
But duty calls, and today Caitlyn’s duty is to make Violet’s Valentine’s Day her most special yet. She places calls and walks to stores in between her shifts, and soon she’s booked a fancy restaurant (rather self-indulgent since Vi couldn’t care less about propriety and second salad forks), placed an order for a towering stack of gifts to arrive after they return to the penthouse, and of course purchased a large box of premium Zaunite chocolate. Caitlyn considers her job fairly well done.
She manages to get Vi to walk home with her at the end of the day. Violet seems unusually smiley and nervous, but that might be the twisting in Caitlyn’s own stomach. She twists her hands together and tucks them behind her back. “So, how was Zaun today?”
“Good,” Vi says. “Good. Very, um…yeah. Good.”
“Did you catch the criminal?” Caitlyn asks, attempting to make a joke but just succeeding in sounding horribly nervous.
Still, Vi has the decency to laugh. “Not yet, but we will.”
“Well, I suppose I will have to take your word for that,” Caitlyn says, a little lighter this time.
They stay quiet the rest of the way, though it’s not uncomfortable. Silence never is with Violet; Caitlyn is willing to bet that it’s a struggle for the girl to make anyone ill at ease – unless she’s waving her fists at them, that is.
They get back to the penthouse and Violet shifts away to put away her coat; Cait pulls out her neatly wrapped box of chocolate and sidles over.
When Caitlyn works up the nerve to go over (there’s really nothing to be worried about, Kiramman, she’s your girlfriend already, what is she going to say, no? Well, quite possibly), she finds Vi blushing furiously with a messy little bouquet clenched in one fist.
“Um,” says Vi. “I know today is a Piltie holiday, so I…” She gestures with the bouquet. “Will you be my valentine, cupcake?”
Caitlyn’s heart seems to melt out of her chest. “Yes, I – yes, Violet.”
Vi grins. “Good. That would be really awkward. I’m sorry, I planned for this to go a lot smoother – ”
“It’s all right,” says Caitlyn. “And I was going to ask you, as well, actually.”
She laughs. “Beat you to the punch, huh? Well, here – sorry they’re a bit sweaty.”
They are, but Caitlyn can’t find it in herself to mind. She doesn’t mind anything that night; all she can focus on is Violet’s luminous grin and stupid jokes and ridiculous hair. That’s all that ever matters, and Caitlyn was a fool to forget it. But she swears to Vi that she’ll never forget it again, and she means it more than she has ever meant anything in her life.

Cherry bomb Part 4: a Caitvi Hate fuck fanfic
“Processing.” The word is way too loud when it bursts from Vi’s lips. “Excuse me?” Cait tilts her head, and her blue hair swishes over her shoulders. How the fuck does she look like she just escaped a shampoo commercial when Vi’s pretty sure she looks like she just got dunked in a gas tank and dragged through the bowels of hell? “Lesbians love processing,” Vi says, nodding like she has any idea what she’s saying. She grins. A joke, maybe? Cait doesn’t laugh at all. Okay. Not so funny. “If I’m honest,” Cait says. “We can ‘process’ if you’d like. But I have other ideas.” Part one // Part two // Part three
The sun startles Vi awake.
Her back hurts. She shifts and removes a neon green bottle – empty, thank god – from under her low back. Okay. That’s a slight improvement.
Now, if she could only figure out WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON.
She’s naked. She knows that. She can see her binder flung over there. Her bare ass against the ground. Her mouth tastes like pussy (a blessing). And, christ, her wrists hurt. So she’s been fucking. Okay. Cool. Cool.
She turns her head. A pile of hair pools in her mouth. Wait. What?
Blue. Blue hair. Dark, inky hair. Silky.
A sigh. A shift. A body next to hers. A long leg thrown across her knee. Baby-soft hairs tickle her calf.
Holy shit. Holy shit holy shit holy shit holy shit.
Vi’s entire mind is rolling. A memory: she looks down at Cait, who’s still seated in her lap, her entire, perfect body curved down toward the ground beneath them. Her head rests on her forearms, her ass up in Vi’s face. She’s truly and utterly wrecked, her beautiful princess body a disaster.
Vi laughs, out loud, to herself. That can’t be real. She wouldn’t let me do that.
Would she?
Vi pauses, blue hair still tickling her bottom lip. She reels as she recalls the sting of Cait’s wet, waiting cunt against her palm. No way would Cait let her smack her right in the cunt.
Or… Wait. Vi’s in shock, and she’s hornier than she’s probably ever been in her life. She begins piecing the evening together. Ghost Cait. Fucking herself sober. Kissing. Shit. She meant not to do that. The kissing.
The fucking, however, she meant.
And, real or not, Ghost Cait is very naked, and very much acting as Vi’s baby spoon.
Aw. Fuck her waist is tiny. The curve of her hip… man. The soft sound of her breath, a happy hum.
Hmmm. So. Okay. Perhaps this is real.
Memories fall into place. Vi’s never taken control at this level. She isn’t sure how many times Cait came last night, but she knows she’s still soaked all over and that the entire place smells like a brothel (in the best possible way, of course). She also didn’t know she could come from humping a girl’s ass — who knew, she thinks, pocketing that fun fact for later — but it’s no surprise that it was Cait’s.
She glances down. If any ass was gonna make her come, it was going to be this one, round and lush and full and newly marked from Vi’s teeth and nails.
She can’t help it: she laughs again. This is nuts.
A shift. Hips press into her front. Vi flinches. A roll, and bright teal eyes lock on hers. A soft tummy settles against her abs. Vi has to hold back a moan. Shit she’s missed Cait’s softness.
“Hello,” Caitlin says, and fuck if she doesn’t sound every bit like a magical princess.
It makes Vi’s heart pitter-patter and she’s embarrassed but she can’t deny the blush that blooms across her tough-guy cheeks. “Uh,” Vi says. “Hi.” For a moment she wishes she hadn’t smashed her mirror in one of her rage-y fits. She knows there is no way she looks good right now. She can feel the grease in her hair, made greasier by the, well, grease she added last night before she went out. A flicker of blond hair makes its way into her mind and she realizes she maybe fucked.. Two girls last night?
Her stomach turns. But it feels empty. Did she puke last night? Fuck, did she PUKE IN FRONT OF CAIT?
“Are you okay?” Cait’s eyes are searching.
A bush. A stumble. Fuck. “Did I barf in front of you last night?”
“Yes.” A smile.
“And maybe make out with a blond right… in front… of you?”
Goodbye, smile. “That would be affirmative. Lovely experience for me, if you’re wondering.” Cait looks like she kind of wants to fuck her up, and Vi can’t entirely blame her.
“Fuck, Cait.”
“Yes,” Cait says. The smirk returns. “We did quite a lot of that, too.”
Vi pauses. She closes her eyes as the evening continues to fall into place. It wasn’t like she was just so beyond fucked up; she was definitely sober enough to have consented to every. Single. Thing. That happened between her and Cupcake last night. But she’s been, uh, dealing with some hallucinations lately? So a part of her is kind of still not convinced this lanky, naked woman is actually right here in front of her, staring at her eyes and starting to lower her hand, one finger at a time, to her cheek.
But if she was fake, how would she feel this real?
But I have other ideas.”
Vi’s eyebrows raise. What? She wants to yell at her some more? Her thoughts are still rolling, and she feels that sad little pit in her stomach get bigger. They aren’t together, after all. No way does Cait want to be here. Or to stay. She probably only came because she felt bad for Vi. She was worried. Worried about crazy, angry Vi, busy fighting strangers in the under city. And, okay, she’s not wrong. But Vi doesn’t want to be worried about. She doesn’t want to even be thought about.
She’s spiraling.
Cait can tell, and Vi knows it because suddenly two lanky, creamy limbs are on either side of her and she’s being pushed onto her back.
Vi’s eyebrows shoot up to her hairline.
“Stop it,” Cait says, her voice soft. “What do you need? Right now?”
It’s like Cait reached inside of Vi’s head and gave her brain a little shove. The spiral grows quieter.
Now, all she can think about is how hot Cait’s cunt is against her low belly.
“I mean…” Vi pauses. Is she reading the situation correctly? Cait wants to fuck, right?
Cait squeezes her thighs together, and her pouty mouth curves upward.
“You’re fucking with me,” Vi says.
“I’d like to be,” Cait says. She shrugs her shoulders as if this isn’t affecting her at all, but Vi can feel the truth damp against her belly.
She can match her energy. “You’re not satisfied yet?” Vi says.
The fire dies, suddenly, behind them. Their eyes settle on the ashes at the pit. Without the fire, Cait is perfectly basked in sunlight, her delicate features glowing, eyes flashing. “Who said this was about my satisfaction?” Cait says. “I haven’t gotten to fuck you yet, Violet.”
Oh.
OH.
It’s fucking on.
Vi follows Cait’s lead and acts cocky as fuck. Two can play this game. She reaches over – and yeah, her shoulder is tugging a bit and it kind of fucking hurts but she is NOT leaving her spot crushed under Cait’s dripping cunt – and she tugs. A magical box appears from under the table.
In it, a harness. Thick and leather. Vi tosses it, and Cait catches it.
A smirk. “Grab the blue one.”

Can we get a "Cait idolizes you" post please?
[Cait Idolizes You]
➼ Word Count » 0.7k ➼ Warnings » None ➼ Genre » Headcanons based on how Cait treats you once idolized

Cait feels like she owes you her life and will be at your beck and call, waiting for anything she could possibly do to even make an attempt at paying you back for sticking with her for as long as you have, even if you tell her none of it's necessary, and you love her for her.
Now that she's officially off the chems, she'll try and do more community service-type deeds to clean up her act. She's not much of a fan, but she does need something to do, and what's more exciting than helping Preston and Sturges set up a few more houses? (everything, but she's still grateful to be a part of it)
She's the first to volunteer whenever you say you're headed off to do a quest, and the first to grab a bat whenever someone says something even slightly negative about you.
Every Sunday, she'll drag you down to the Dugoutt Inn, throw you in one of the booths, and offer to share a bottle of Moonshine. Usually, the two of you just talk, but sometimes the Bobrov brothers will come over and tell you guys stories of things that had happened throughout the week. It always reminds you of those Football nights you used to have before the war when you'd gather in someone's basement and just hang out with everyone.
Cait's not the best at it, but whenever you're beaten and bleeding, she'll do her best to try and patch you up. There will always be people out there who're way more qualified than she'll ever be, but she knows the basics.
She definitely makes her opinion known when she thinks you've been drinking too much or have been taking too many drugs. You'll be kept in line with her around, she refuses to let you fall into the same rabbit hole that she did.
Whether you romanced her or not, she'll still jokingly flirt with you all the time. She'll run her hands along your shoulders and whisper the most lewd comments until you start blushing or get a tad flustered.
One of these days she'll take you aside and teach you a few more effective self-defense methods just so you're better prepared in any sort of fight you find yourself in.
Cait may still put up that tough-Irish-girl front of hers, but behind it all is a genuine friend who would stop everything she was doing to sit and listen to whatever it was that was bothering you.
She's so willing to throw down for you. You give her the word, and she'll gladly make someone 'disappear' for you. You guys are like the secret service of the Commonwealth, anyone does anything to either of you, and they're gone.
The jokes she makes are almost always horribly timed. Like you'll be sitting in your room all sad and she'll say something like, "It's totally your fault". She intends for them to be sarcastic quips of some kind, but they don't really land. She's just not that great at cheering people up, but she definitely tries.
Her drug habit might've stopped, but her thieving practice won't. It's for better or for worse, but you can't deny how relieved you get when you notice the extra hundred caps that'd been snuck into your pockets when you weren't looking. They save you in most situations and you almost have to be grateful she hasn't kicked the habit yet.
The one thing with Cait is that you're gonna have to teach her some healthier coping skills before she punches a hole in your wall, or anyone else's for that matter.
She loves to sit with you on the bridge right outside Sanctuary and toss stones. She likes the edges of the rocks in her hands and finds it a bit soothing when they sink and cause ripples in the water.
Overall, Cait ends up being the best friend you never knew you needed. She's there for literally everything and couldn't ever imagine her life without you.

i'll have to rewatch the season but it almost feels like the cait/jinx parallel was completely lost on season 2? what made these two so cool and their conflict so interesting was that they were such incredibly similar people, but there's very little of that in season 2.
at the end of season 2 they both lost a parental figure (and additionally, both of them blame themselves!!) that was incredibly vital to their upbringing and the way they are now as adults. season 2 should have been about the grief they both suffered after losing their parents.
have both of them spearhead their respective war fronts. caitlyn fights zaun through organised ranks and precision fighting with rifles, heck, even bring in the grey, etc (basically how she does it in the show). meanwhile, jinx fights piltover through random, unpredictable terrorist attacks and her sheer volume of followers throwing themselves at the opposition, with her taking an active role in rallying them to be as chaotic as possible. this would work even further to highlight their differences, showing how though they begin at similar starting points, they both lean into each extreme (while both of them might originally be closer on the spectrum of chaos to control, they both go to polar opposites during s2).
then, have vi stuck in the middle. too chaotic for caitlyn's almost controlling, dictator-esque agenda, but too controlled for jinx's reckless abandon. create the show's conflict here, instead of bringing in third parties and other unneeded aspects of the story. caitvi divorce because vi isn't 'committed enough to the cause.' jinx won't take her sister back because she's 'chosen her side' and hasn't proven herself to have changed since the tea party. linger in this conflict between zaun and piltover, cait and jinx, and express it through vi. you could literally express all of the differences between zaun and piltover and a possible route for peace through this one interpersonal conflict that has already been set up in season 2!!!!
this should be the main plot, same how vi + cait vs silco + jinx was in the first season (arguably s1 has so many important things to it that there isn't really one main plot, but the climax of the show is during the tea party which is the resolution to this particular plot. so i am calling it the main plot). THIS IS WHAT THE SHOW IS ABOUT!!! the story writes itself tbh. it's a huge shock to me that the writers didn't go with this.
the cait/jinx parallel, not to mention the countless other foils and parallels (which was what made the show so good!!!) are seemingly abandoned in s2 and that's why it falls so flat. connections are hardly drawn between characters. isha is SUPPOSED to be a parallel to powder, but the connection is visual, nothing more. isha possesses none of powder's original characteristics - in fact, she has no characteristics, because all she exists as is a plot device, a ticking time bomb to go off when jinx needs to have her emo arc! if you can draw any parallels that operate as well as season one's did, you are welcome to point them out, but imo none of them hit as good as season one, where we had silco and vander opposite to jinx and vi, jinx vs cait, viktor vs mel, sevika vs vi, i mean i could go on. these connections feel sidelined or even absent from season 2 - or at least are not the highlight.
for example, viktor and mel are both mages, and how they obtain this power is evident of their differences, but we do not spend near enough time on these plots to warrant me giving a fuck, nor are the differences stark enough - because yes, mel is more privileged and has a birthright to power, but a big part of her character is that she was exiled from noxus and had to build her empire in piltover instead of relying on her family. the difference needs to be more dramatic to drive the point home - in season one, they differ so much because viktor cares about what hextech can do for others, using himself in the process, while mel cares about what hextech can do for her, using others in the process. the development for both of them comes when the opposite occurs - viktor accidentally kills sky, and mel sacrifices her pride and her place within her family to side with jayce in his effort to reunite piltover and zaun. the parallel was on multiple layers and carried through their entire character arc. frankly, we don't see enough of mel or viktor (or at least, anything that showcases their motivations) to draw proper connections in season 2, which is why both of their mage arcs feel lacking.
what made the story work so well in arcane is that you could look up and see that absolutely everything was connected, right down to the last detail. they've forgotten that connection in season 2, and it's made the scenes, the arcs, and the conflicts feel completely detached from one another, leading to the season feeling stilted. it's like the writers forgot what they had done so well in season 1 and decided to just throw everything they had in their brains onto the page without any regard for the care that had been previously put into them.
#this was originally supposed to be about just cait and jinx.... but ig it just went on#but! im right#this is a bunch of word vomit and i have not proofread nor thought about it much deeper than this but like#this is probably one of the big problems in season 2 lol#arcane critical
