i have so many thoughts about my campaign but absolutely nothing coherent. just snatches of ideas. the most clear thing i have in my head is that, if the acting-commodore steps down once he has liberty, and in the ensuing election and hullabaloo, naielle becomes commodore, there is absolutely no way she comes back from the jade sea
naielle understands how she gets when shes stressed, when theres crisis. theres a point along this bell curve of emotion, pursuant to context, where she stops thinking about herself and only those around her. and once that threshold is passed, she'll do damn near anything for them.
as commodore, her station would necessitate being that much more aware of the crisis. that much more aware of the state of play. that much more aware of the myriad lives that she holds in her hands.
she would cross that threshold far sooner.
she knows this about herself, and it applies outside of formal responsibility. she knows this, and does not know how to change it, and so instead she removes options from herself. like changing the phone's password just before wisdom teeth removal to prevent from saying something nonsensical online, she has to put the weapon away before she becomes of a mind to use it.
she's failed at that before. she told herself the weapon she had would be safe in her hands, that she'd use it only for 'good', and not ill. and in short order she had used it to enthrall, to even temporarily rob a man of free will.
she has such a weapon now. two, even, if you like.
the first, and least likely to kill her outright, is a caged king of dragons, whose essence is hostile to mortality but whose personality is not, who sees the crew as a means to liberate himself, his breathren, and their domain. she uses his power sparingly for its risk, but she's come close before, and been lucky not to be overwhelmed. there is far more power she could gain from him, but it would tear at her from the inside, like a hollowing parasite. she's seen a dragon's power wrought on a mortal, and seen that he marks a man decades older than he ought be. She may be an elf, but even decades would see her predecease a great many people, and that assumes it does not do her worse. She doesn't know.
the second is the offer, if it can be called that, of her patron. reach for the stars, young elf, and find the divine. channel his power in the storm to banish the dark, and in so doing lose yourself. merge with the celestial. its death, she thinks when out of crisis. sure, theres a lingering of the soul, bound in the eternal starlight of the astral sea. but the form is gone, and much of the person. to merge with him would change her, and she would never see her loved ones again.
but his power could save them all.
a naielle who is mere captain, whose responsibilites are smaller, who is delegated specific tasks, has the capacity to decide to be selfish. she has the capacity, and the excuse perhaps, to decide that she refuses godhood. she can risk success for her own soul, if she likes. she may yet do so.
a naielle who is commodore, and for whom's patron remains in earshot, will take that weapon and point it at their ultimate foe, and consider one life worth thousands.

could you write a quick summary of what’s shown in the leaks for those of us who don’t have tik tok access 😞😞
Yes
Helaena and Alicent are talking. Helaena doesnt understand why the small folk hate them and Alicent tells her that unhappy people look for someone to hate. Alicent then offers her acup of tea (moon tea????????? we don't see her drink it tho) Helaena says she was happier before she was queen and then Alicent asks her how she would feel about leaving KL and Helaena considers it before asshole Aemond barged in the room. Aemond says he needs Helaena to fly with dreamfyre /to battle/ and helaena refuses saying she wont burn anyone. Aemond then grabs her by the wrist in a super aggressive way and starts leading her. Alicent pulls him off her and aemond says something about how this is the consequence of alicent's weakness lol alicent says that helaena is the most gentle and deserving of protection and that aemond shouldn't corrupt her. aemond seems annoyed and then leaves. The next scene is alicent asking orwyle if could help her get passage to somewhere.
Alicent has a scene where she goes to dragonstone and confronts rhaenyra [again]. i honestly couldn't make out a lot of the dialogue because the clips are super super super silent but alicent essentially says that aegon still heeds her and she could maybe convince him to bend the knee to rhaenyra and rhaenyra says that isn't good enough and she would have to take his head (she doesn't sound thrilled tho shes just being honest). it seems that the talk goes no where and alicent leaves.
Aemond and helaena have a scene outside. this time he's a lot more calm and he's def trying to sweet talk her. he says that they share the same blood and he understands she doesn't want to hurt anyone he says alicent isn't a dragonrider so she doesn't understand/know what shes talking about. he tries to convince her to go with him to harrenhal. she says "and if I refuse? will you burn me as you did aegon?" GAG! he doesn't react and says she is lying. she replies that she saw him do it. "you burned him. and you let him fall." he says that what she says is treason lol. Helaena says that Aegon will be king again and he will have a throne of wood and that aemond will be dead and swallowed up by the gods eye. aemond responds by saying "I could have you killed..." and helaena says it wont change anything.
another scene shows aemond watching a burning castle/village while on vhagar. he seems pleased about it. he flies vhagar closer as we hear the screams of the people being burned :/
next scene is aegon in bed. he talks to orwyle and tells him that he is a good man. aegon takes a sippy sippy of some milk of the poppy before larys comes in. larys tells aegon they must leave KL and aegon seems confused. larys says that rhaerhae has more dragonriders now and larys says aemond challenged one of the riders but was rebuffed. aegon says that his brother deserves no less lol larys says aemond is now laying waste to a town and aegon calls him a fucking mad cunt OMEGALOL aegon asks what was the fucking point of all this and that he is the king so why must he run? larys says aemond is going to kill aegon because he is angry and out of control and that is why they must leave. aegon seems sad by this info but wants to go to his throne in hopes he can push aemond out of being regent and he wants to take aemond prisoner. larys says what will he do when rhaenyra comes to KL with 7 dragons and no vhagar. larys says that when he moved harrenhals gold he left some in braavos and that is where they should go....lol aegon is like wtf? you want me to go live with the goatfuckers? (his words not mine) larys says its better to /live/ and aegon says "is it? my dragon is dead. i am burned and disgusting. and alone. and I'm a cripple." larys tells him he isn't alone. aegon says that his cock is destroyed lol and larys ignores that and goes back to talking about aemond he says let aemond and rhaenyra destroy themselves and then he and aegon can return and the smallfolk will rise up to meet them (lolwhat?) aegon goes back to talking about his dick and how he cant even piss properly now poor guy. larys tries to keep him on task and says people will hail their returning king, his fathers /true/ heir Aegon the Victorious, risen from the ashes. Aegon the Peacmaker. Aegon the ReBuilder. Aegon says "Aegon the Realms Delight..." I LOLED
let me know if you want the rest I think this is the bulk of the TG scenes I've seen so far.

Marone!
Sexuality Headcanon: either straight or like. she just Generally has a type (soft, sweet, poor little meow meow -) and therefore does not care about the gender of her partner.
A ship I have with said character: REGIN SUWEN/MARONE FOR THE WIN. i just think they make sense together!!! their personalities mesh really well.... marone is all headstrong and regins more passive yes but theyre also both very earnest sweet people and they balance each other perfectly <3 i also love how marones become regin's vet assistant (her love of animals too T^T her growing fond of ground dragons more after being saved by frufoo...)!! and the tsuchigumo (this little spider-looking spirit iirc from one of the otto related side stories, for those who dont know) is BASICALLY THEIR CHILD NOW.... i love their little family i hope marone and regin get happily married <33
A BROTP I have with said character: OTTO AND MARONE OF COURSE. bad luck buddies who get really headstrong <33 aaa just theyre very sweet!! and similarly to regin, otto is also. More Submissive, in a sense. so of course otto and marone balance each other nicely - and i just think marone's "number two" nickname for otto IS SO SWEET ITS SO. URHGHG I FEEL LIKE IM INHALING SUGAR FROM HOW SWEET IT IS. it makes my little heart melt T^TT and i love the backstory of their little chance encounter where they escape from the bandits trying to sell them into slavery, and then the fact that marone doesnt want to go too far from her hometown so she can find otto again!!! aaa T^TT love them. i also just really like how much otto/regins designs look alongside marone!!! her red hair vs their calmer colors and ottos green is so <333
A NOTP I have with said character: i dont really have any that im very Insistent on.... ig like otto/marone (romantic)? bc they WOULD NEVER.... otto knows his brother is head over heels for her and otto and marone give me sibling energy. they're future siblings in law anyway!!!!!
A random headcanon: MARONE. MAYBE GETS REGIN TO QUIT SMOKING. I DONT KNOW IF FANTASY WORLD CIGARETTES HAVE HEALTH CONSEQUENCES BUT LIKE. MY DUDE YOU ARE A DOCTOR. HAH. regin and otto out here with smoking and drinking respectively as their vices.... they need anxiety meds or something i swear.
additionally.... in pride and wrath if of course, otto becomes a debt slave. i like to think that marone becomes interested in the idea of saving other people from slavery / almost slavery like what otto did for her...... we know that otto saved her months before the start of like. arc 1 i think?? so its like. that event still happened in pride and wrath if. and we know that otto eventually dies in pride if.... im sure the suwens found out about his death somehow, especially if hes just not talked to them for a While... maybe marone could help find out what happened to otto? because im sure it is Worrying when the person in the family with notoriously bad luck has been Completely Silent for a little too long. i doubt pride/wrath otto would contact any of them - he wouldnt want them getting involved. but marone seems like the type that would get involved!!! i think shes smarter than she looks!!!!
General Opinion over said character:
SHE IS SO SWEET. I ADORE HER. SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE'D GIVE GREAT HUGS... I LOVE HER PASSION... i wish the best for her <3 and i think she should get to go insane. shes like... she seems all happy go lucky but her backstory of like :( being sold to bandits as slaves because the people in her town had to give some women over so the city wouldnt get attacked... and then she was there for a while and got saved by otto T^TT and then tsuchigumo stuff happens and she literally just goes "let me tell you about my (totally not tragic) anime backstory to lighten the mood!! :DDD" and then EVERYONE thinks shes bad luck after that.... poor girl :(( but also she is SO STRONG for still being so determined and passionate!! like she KNOWS otto saying he killed bandits on accident is complete and total bullshit. she knows he gave her his own money and not "bounty money". AND THEN SHE LITERALLY SAYS THAT SHES TIRED OF HIDING AWAY AND WAITING AROUND AND TAKING THE WEIGHT OF CRIMES SHE DIDNT COMMIT AND HOW "That frail lady logic isnt my thing at all!" shes so. there may not be too much to her because shes like. a Pretty Minor character. but whats there is so good with the small amount of screentime she has. she eats up every scene shes in. her like Surprising sharpness with how shes fed up with Bullshit (ottos bullshit... and going out to go and do something about the tsuchigumo situation...) is such a neat contrast to her softness too (and makes her a great character to balance out, say, regin or otto)!! shes so cool. i admire her always.

for my first text post i wanna talk about some zeldy thoughts. these are like raw thoughts bc ive just come from writing a 10k assignment and don’t feel like sticking to proper writing structure right now lmao. major end game totk spoilers
something that i saw talked about that frustrated me was when people say that like, the zelda/ganon dragon fight at the end doesnt make sense within the lore of the game, seeing as you “lose yourself” when you swallow a secret stone. and while i get why ppl think that, i think it bothers me bc it kinda seems like a shallow interpretation of the lore.
i think on a basic level there are still very clear good/bad dynamics that play in all of LoZ (in totk there’s light/gloom, light/evil) so i don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that zelda as the light dragon can sense the evil presence of ganon as the demon dragon. i.e. while they have lost what makes zelda zelda and what makes ganon ganon, they maintain that sense of good or evil. so zelda will come to the rescue, and ganon will continue to try and destroy.
(god i have so much to say here because like. what even makes ganon, ganon? im kinda disappointed at the lack of character depth ganon got despite the opportunity in this game!! he had lots of screen time, but a real lack of motivation beyond the evil villain for the sake of it.)
BACK TO DRAGONS THOUGH, i think that this good/bad dichotomy can also explain why farosh, dinraal, and naydra WEREN’T part of this fight. in botw they are framed as an extremely neutral presence, and that is continued in totk. it would have been ooc for the dragons to come help, just like it would be ooc for zelda as the embodiment of light to NOT show up. in botw, the 3 dragons just fly around the map, not directly influencing anything good or bad. they don’t attack you, but there presence can harm you unintentionally.
i know that in botw all we had were those 3 dragons, but i think it’s shallow to assume that all dragons in the world would act like them, especially when we have no confirmation of how these dragons came to existence i.e. did they or did they not swallow a secret stone (i have thoughts about this too dw). in the confines of totk, stones amplify your power. zelda as the holder of the power of light would inherently work to repel and destroy evil. she might lose HERSELF, but she isn’t losing that power. that power and her are separate. same with ganon but with evil. at the expansion of all of LoZ lore, zelda is the reincarnation of wisdom, and i believe the light dragon to be the essence of that reincarnation i.e no zelda remains and she HAS lost herself.
that being said, i still do critisise some of the ways that totk’s story expanded, specifically the end cut scene. the “reset” felt shallow, cheap, and forced, and i definitely wanted to see some consequences to both link (losing an arm) and zelda (permanently staying a dragon or at the very least being permanently scarred by the experience and not just waking up from a deep sleep lol)
EDIT: OH YEAH AND brief dragon immortality thoughts: immortal in the sense of age, not immortal in the sense of damage and life force, which is how demon dragon can die

it has been five million billion years since Feli's Ninjago Season Review, but i just finished crystalized. so.
tldr. i watched the first part Some Time Ago and dont recall how i felt outside of "yeah i liked it", the middle section of the season rlly dragged, but the last bit was really good
iirc my main complaint with the nya rescue arc was how it absolutely TRASHED skylor. she BARELY had any speaking lines and was basically just there as a Back Up Zane to keep nya from melting and i hated that. however the last third of the season rectified this by giving her an actual cool moment when she rescues kai and cole, as well as an actual character moment.
like you have the pixane and jaya reunions back to back so kai's talking with skylor again, he still likes her, he tries to ask her out, and she rejects him on grounds of "dude do you know how long it's been?" and both sides here are understandable. like yeah considering everything that happened the past seasons kai rlly didn't have time for a relationship but also skylor is RIGHT to be frustrated he just wants to go back to like. s7. after so long. and it gives the sense that things between them COULD work but they need some time to be friends again first. i like that.
generally all the canon couples were great ESPECIALLY in the last third. the ice emperor as an insane comedy bit was fantastic actually and also rlly funny how pixal just didnt even grieve this time. she did that in s12 already she's just gonna go fix him up np. HOWEVER when her backup squad gets ready to roll and zane isnt repaired yet and she has this monologue abt how zane's sacrifice for her made her more than just a machine and showed her love and she loves him SO much and she gives him a lil kiss and leaves and then he wakes up. i dont CARE if true love's kiss is nonsense for robots it was CUTE i love pixane
"If there is a life after this for beings such as you and I... I will find you there." AURGH paraphrasing the quote here but do you SEE why pixal is my favorite ninjago character ever. i love her so much. my pixal stan instincts got reactivated i did nearly cry at that scene.
third couple jaya also has cute moments. the season shows a lot how they make each other stronger and cover each other's doubts and jay's encouragement giving nya the confidence she needs to regain her abilities is just cute. you can see a lot of skybound-isms esp in how the mechanic ends up goading her saying she's not a "real" ninja (like e.g. how she doesnt get a dragon form) but she kicks his ass anyway cuz it doesnt matter whether she has powers it matters that she gives her all always <3 yayyy
ok next up talking abt MY GIRL HARUMI YEEHAW.
i like her arc this season there's a lot of conflicting elements to her. first of that she for real just DIED is extremely interesting. there's always a juxtaposition of what harumi believed and what was actually true (her thinking lloyd never looked for her when he actually spent so long sifting through rubble the others had to drag him off cuz they had to go find the oni) and i think the climax of that being her hearing from the horse's mouth that the ninja (and lloyd) were never responsible for all she blamed them for was great. like already she was torn on lloyd and i feel like her in the jungle with lloyd seeing that she CANT win his trust back ever again like this did actually like. affect her on some level. she cant trick him anymore she has to live with the consequences of her actions and see that she fucked up. good. her dynamic with the overlord obvs parallels her dynamic with garmadon in s8/9 in how she's his right hand most competent underling whatever but whereas she admired garmadon she doesnt like the overlord and helps him out of fear for her continued existence cuz he DID give her life again and he could take it away just as easily.
but in that sense garmadon initially gave her "life" back too when her parents died and she needed something to hold onto so her opposing the overlord finally means she's taking the reigns and acting without some grand figure in mind but just for herself and what she believes is right
okay next up lloyd. lloyd is SO fucking bitter and angry this season which is a contributing factor to the dark (tiring) tone of the middle third and it does grate but it's understandable. i know some people dont like his new dynamic with garmadon cuz it basically retcons sensei garm who we all love yadda yadda but the new garmadon does have to be seen as his own independant character and if you do he's pretty compelling. anyway lloyd's anger. lloyd fucking HATES garmadon in this which is Delicious. obviously consequence of the hunted trilogy and i like that. lloyd is OVER grieving what could've been and what he lost. he hates what remains and he doesn't want anything to do with garmadon.
except garmadon is showing signs of change. that even though the good part of him remains dead that what's left can still recover and learn compassion and i think why that frustrates lloyd so much is that he hates that this compassion doesn't extend to himself. that though garmadon cares about other things now garmadon still doesnt care about lloyd. lloyd wants that young innocent part of him that always adored his dad to be dead and gone because becoming what was left of his father was his greatest fear for a LONG time now (firmly established in season 11!). but that part is still there. he still loves his dad and hates him at the same time and that's confusing and upsetting him.
christofern is a lloyd analogy obviously. like back in ye old days of the early seasons, lloyd was the only thing garmadon cared about and the catalyst for garmadon's first redemption. even when lloyd withers he comes back. he tries again. ninja never quit just like that damn fern never dies yeah <3
garmadon and lloyd are BOTH kings of poor emotional awareness in crystalized since garm is struggling to even understand compassion and kindness and love at all that he cant see that the part of him that loves lloyd isnt dead either. but the main part of him is just yelling "the green ninja is an enemy." lloyd gets FED UP cuz like if my dad called the girl who tried to murder me like a daughter when ignoring me i'd hate him too. but garm being so mean to lloyd to help lloyd with oni form is garmadon trying to care about him by making him stronger. and since oni form thrives on negativity garm is giving lloyd fuel. obviously this sucks ass and is bad for their personal relationship.
the interesting switch here is in the finale when garm gets lloyd to oni form by pretending to be dead cuz it shows on both their parts an awareness that they love each other. lloyd by showing anger over his father's supposed death and garm by knowing that faking his death would actually work. it means he knows lloyd still cares abt him. then again lloyd is SO fuckin right again to insult garm over this bcuz. dude. that is still emotional manipulation committed with few regrets and lloyd has had enough of that for a lifetime. king of getting manipulated and trying so hard to stay kind despite getting fucked over so often. pythor harumi garmadon. etc etc.
right what else. i cant fucking believe the season made ronin good again GOD BLESS in undoing some of the island's many sins. thank you for showing ronin isn't as selfish as he appears to be and showing up to help the ninja again cuz it's just the right thing to do. thank youuuuu
all the character cameos were great. again skylor (with some caveats), ronin, racer seven!!!! she was so fun!!! blazey hi!!! you're insane!!!!. using vinny's convo with garm from s10 (the best scene in march of the oni, actually) to springboard all of garm's redemption arc bcuz it DID deeply affect garm even in s10 and by extension making vinny a major supporting character. hilarious. fantastic. incredible. oh my god they were roommates.
i also always love the paperboys when they appear. can you BELIEVE they started out as "the random kid who broke his arm in skybound." ah how far they've come. thank you nelson and antonia for being great.
the other camoes at the end were EPIC N COOL like i do like that cole n nya succeeded despite thinking they'd failed cuz it plays into the never give up message but i AM disappointed that none of the cameos got ANY speaking lines cuz (voice actors cost money)
like no little quips no nice to see you again. not even vania fighting her dad? no benthomaar. the whole crew from across basically all of wildbrain era + some extras (how many seasons has it been since cole's dad appeared onscreen?) gave an incredible upswing to the dreariness but it just rings hollow when they dont even get to make noise. dead silent. eerie.
uhhh what else. again i think most of from after harumi and lloyd leave the jungle to wu meeting up with the paperboys fucking DRAGGED cuz it was just one loss after another after another after another and at some point its like DUDE WE GET IT YOU'RE INVINCIBLE. CAN WE GET THE MCGUFFIN ALREADY. but once wu got that upswing and the ninja all had their own little adventures it was good again and a consistently good time for the rest of the season i was enjoying it.
i agree that it def feels like lloyd's arc this season isn't rlly resolved at all. he doesn't embrace his anger or his heritage and is still firmly stuck on denying parts of himself. bcuz lloyd kept denying WHY he's angry and just dancing around it it only got worse. the other ninja had nice cap off points. the other one with the biggest arc is nya but her development mirrors s11 kai (as so helpfully pointed out by jay himself lmao) which ends with nya knowing once again that she doesnt need to be special to be needed and harkens back to ye old conflict "if I'm not a ninja and i'm not samurai x anymore, then who am i?" you're NYA and you're cool as hell that's what. she doesn't need to be anything as long as she can just DO what she has to do.
whereas lloyd is again still just. right in the middle of it.
i do like the ending of garmadon putting the fern in the ground bcuz again lloyd metaphor it means he acknowledges that lloyd's friendships aren't a weakness ("You need roots") and also symbolically he's letting go of lloyd instead of chasing the shadow of the child lloyd used to be. good stuff.
so. season has it's good moments has it's bad moments. it needed some time to find its footing but i like the callbacks to other seasons (A SUPRISING AMOUNT OF SKYBOUND THEMATICS??? a lot of this is skybound but better) and once it did find its footing it was really good.
master of the mountain is still my favorite season though.

Isla Kingston for that oc meme!
Full Name: Isla Ysara Kingston Gender and Sexuality: cis woman, bisexual Pronouns: she/her Ethnicity/Species: breton Birthplace and Birthdate: Imperial City, 22nd of Rain's Hand 2E 563 Guilty Pleasures: Phobias: daedric princes, to this day they still make her uncomfortable. daedric involvement in a problem in general makes her nervous. She's less impulsive to anger now than she was as a teenager, but she's seen how impulsive and powerful they can be with mortal lives if they wish. and knows how powerless she truly is against them without a lot of assistance. She'll fist fight molag bal but also knows sheogorath could just make someone walk of a balcony to their death if he felt like it and she can't stop him. What They Would Be Famous For: she's kinda saved Tamriel from every disaster that's stricken it for the last 13 years. She shows up in your town and you either know there's some big powerful meeting going on, or a disaster is happening What They Would Get Arrested For: sometimes she likes to steal from rich nobles because fuck them but also she can very easily talk her way out of actually being arrested with her prestige and "no one will believe you" OC You Ship Them With: no OCs, but her late husband is mister Darien Gautier uwu OC Most Likely To Murder Them: she doesnt share a universe with any other OCs of mine so no one really. She's more likely to murder her descendants for being daedra worshippers if given the chance Favorite Movie/Book Genre: she likes a good investigator vale novel or just murder mystery in general. Least Favorite Movie/Book Cliche: "and they all lived happily ever after". She lived through not just the Planemeld, but every disaster after and the consequences of them, the deaths that happened, and had to go on. Her story didn't get to end because the written one ended. No Hero lives happily every after Talents and/or Powers: she's always had a talent for magic from a young age, both with being able to pull magic from Aetherius with more ease than others, better control over it, and it being stronger. She's also a skilled ambassador and negotiator. Why Someone Might Love Them: she's the badass hero who cleaved molag bal in half, saved the lives of gods, fights dragons 1v1... she has a lot of admirers across tamriel for that. she would work herself into needing medical attention trying to help others. she's also pretty uwu Why Someone Might Hate Them: despite being a tamriel wide hero, she's still pretty loyal to the covenant and so people assume she's a cov spy a lot. She butts her way into problems without being asked because "i'm the only person who can deal with this", and while she is right because of how Heroes work, not everyone gets it (understandable as well). She's judgmental about daedric worship and necromancy and holds a damn good grudge (outside of offering people a chance to redeem themselves). She's been a Hero for long enough that sometimes she has to make decisions that are just the lesser of two evils and not everyone understands those decisions. How They Change: she mellows out of her teenage angst and works to unlearn her impulsive hate of daedra, undead, and the like. she grows to go from viewing being the Hero as the best thing that could have happened to give her life direction, to a curse she has to bear for the sake of tamriel. she dedicates herself to her daughter, to helping people redeem themselves from involvement in daedric cults, and working with the covenant to end or win the three banners war Why You Love Them: she's my first eso character, my main, my best girl. she perseveres as the Hero, not because she wants to, but because she must. she's the story of a hero who has been forced to give her life to the world, and slowly grows to want more than that, more than being a piece of the story.

For the ask game!
Purple and.... indefatigable!
the behemoth au! we all love giant monsters right? right
when inko is pregnant, she notices herself getting heavier. a lot heavier. so much so that she cant actually support the weight of her child. she realizes she never asked her childs father what his quirk was. she only knew that he could breathe fire. maybe there was more to it
when he kicks, it hurts. like real horrible pain. she realizes he might already have a quirk and prepares herself for the worst, asking her best friend to raise her child just in case of the worst (the kids father? fucked off to who knows where not long after he was conceived
it is a miracle she lives through the childbirth at all to see her black iridescent scaled son so heavy that is she not allowed to hold him and so large that she wasnt even able to give birth normally. she dies not long after from a variety of reasons
izuku is taken in by mitsuki bakugou who now has to deal with not only her extremely fussy son, but her dead best friends literal monster(?) son.
she suspects hes a dragon bc she knows hisashi could breathe fire but, looking at izuku, she cant be entirely sure.
he is sharp, angular, craggy, and is covered head to to with glossy scales that shine hummingbird green in the sun. green reptilian eyes that seem to glow in the dark
and he grows. he grows so much that he practically eats the bakugous out of their bank account
he seems to understand japanese but, much like katsuki, does not seem particularly inclined to listen
it is very awkward when people who dont know the bakugous thing that izuku is their weird reptilian pet
izuku gets very angry whenever it happens. hes a member of the family too goddamnit
by the time he is four he is the size of the house and it is getting difficult to maintain him. luckily, this is the year he gains the ability to be human sized. the relief upon seeing a four year old sized human izuku is palpable
(in case youre wondering, no, he didnt go to the daycare before he was able to transform. with his size there were just too many risks)
even in human form, his dragon(?) characteristics do not fade. he still has reptilian eyes and even if his size has changed, his weight has not and he still requires the same amount of food.
izuku is a fucking juggernaut in human form. hes a four year old who can wield an amount of force equivalent to throwing a house at someone
suffice it to say that nobody fucks with him, and hes also very close to katsuki, the other kid that nobody wants to fuck with
that being said, people (especially those who have seen his true form) fear him in a way that they do not fear katsuki
i kinda want him to be friends w spinner tbh. an older lizard friend mentor. i dont think hes that much older than izuku so i guess hed be like an older brother friend
maybe izuku posts on a board for kids with mutant quirks and asks for advice on how to make his classmates less scared and thats how they become friends
izuku thinks heroes are super cool still, but he idolizes ryukyu more than all might (for obvious reasons)
now this can go one of two ways
something forces him to use his true form which, by the age of ten, is the size of a five story building and extremely strong. he wreaks destruction. (idk maybe hes injected w trigger wo his consent or smth) and then has to deal w the consequences while still trying to be a hero
OR
that doesnt happen. he goes to the hero exam. fuckin aces it because hes just so much stronger than the robots
The Izuku Issue™ : the more emotional he becomes, the more of his true form he regains, and if he doesnt control it, it is very very easy to hurt someone on accident
thats it for now folks

ok so eventually the maitlands are able to get lydias headcollar off her and catch her, maybe because shes grown a bit and the halters getting uncomfortable so shes more willing to let them remove it. and somewhere on the nameplate theres contact details so they can get in contact with charles. and for conveniences sake lets just say charles and the maitlands live closer together in this au.
so anyway they phone charles and basically say "we have lydia but also theres this big feral one shes been hanging out with and people are starting to complain about him, do you know anyone would know what to do about that?' so then charles in turn phones klara, an oc i mentioned once who was friends with emily through dragon stuff, and asks if she knows what to do about that, and then klara gets in contact with the maitlands. the maitlands ask wether beetlejuice can just be relocated to somewhere else so he isnt a nuisance to the town anymore and klara basically says 'there arent many people whod let you release a feral dragon on their land, its not great for most ecosystems to just drop a new predator into the mix, and hes not actually a wild animal hes a stray domestic one so its best for everyone involved if hes caught.' the arrangement they come to is that the maitlands will take responsibility for beetlejuice, klara will come to them to help catch him and pick up lydia for charles, and bring them back to the dragon stable place she and charles are involved with - beetlejuice is too big and not tame enough to live in the house, and while lydia is still small enough to be in the house shes gotten pretty feral and charles decides hes going to start boarding her too.
obviously neither dragon is very happy about being caught but beetlejuice is extra pissed. he does not want to be cleaned, he does not want to be in a stable, and he very much does not want to be muzzled to stop him spitting acid everywhere. lydia isnt happy either but at least shes somewhat used to this.
the maitlands are very out of their depth here, they never planned on having a dragon and now they are responsible for this very angry feral beast. theyre not on their own with it, theres a kinda community of dragon owners who use the stable who give them tips and assistance, but its still a lot. they end up getting to know charles though, because they find that beetlejuice doesnt get as agitated if he has lydia with him, so they often have to ask charles if they can borrow his fledgeling to act as an emotional support. charles is in a similar boat to them because he is now also dealing with an angry feral dragon with a grudge, but hes less willing to admit hes out of his depth and accept help.

A different ask! What do you think Roose actually feels about Ramsay? Just before the Red Wedding he talks very dismissively about how Ramsay could be executed for his crimes, but obviously he knows Robb's never gonna get the chance so maybe he cares more than that. But Ramsay (probably) killed precious Domeric? What does he actually feel about him and potential Walda baby(-ies)?
Thank you for your question :) I have divided my answer into points regarding the different aspects of your ask.
What do you think Roose actually feels about Ramsay?
In regards to the Roose-Ramsay relationship, some facts are important:
Roose did not raise Ramsay, and as far as we know did not interact with him in his childhood beyond the two times the miller's wife came to him after his birth. ("She was never to tell the boy who had fathered him." - Reek III, aDwD) All he knew about Ramsay was that he was his son, had his grey eyes, and was "wild and unruly" (the reason Ramsay's mom demanded a servant).
"Lord Bolton has never acknowledged the boy, so far as I know," Ser Rodrik said. "I confess, I do not know him." - Bran II, aCoK
Ramsay only came to the Dreadfort in 297AC (after Domeric died). This is extremely recent - for context, we have Dany chapters in aGoT taking place as early as 297AC, and the War of the five Kings starts at the end of 298 AC according to this timeline.
As a consequence, since Roose leaves the Dreadfort for the War of the five Kings, he assumed a paternal role for Ramsay in between 297AC and at most very early 299AC (The timeline has the battle of the green fork in January 6 and he'd need to travel to the south before that in the first place). This is only between 1-2 years depending on how early or late that year Domeric died (Shoutout to @blueagia who made me realize this timeline years ago).
Ramsay is violent and cruel, but not stupid (Roose even says he is “cunning” in Catelyn VI, aSoS). He was able to present himself as an ally to Theon in aCoK, and it stands to reason he might have given a salvagable impression to Roose at the beginning while he was testing the waters. Ned Stark is a just man who tried to execute the remote-living Jorah Mormont for slave trade; Since he never went after Ramsay, we can assume whatever Ramsay did during his time with Roose was discreet enough that word did not get to Lord Eddard, and so at the beginning Roose must have had no reason to complain too much about Ramsay's conduct either.
Eddard Stark had never had any reason to complain of the Lord of the Dreadfort, so far as Jon knew. - Jon VII, aDwD
"No tales were ever told of me. Do you think I would be sitting here if it were otherwise? Your amusements are your own, I will not chide you on that count, but you must be more discreet. A peaceful land, a quiet people. That has always been my rule. Make it yours." - Reek III, aDwD
Roose gets a legitimization for Ramsay as part of his benefit from doing the Red Wedding, showing that back then he still had an intention of keeping him as his son and heir. However, returning from the war in the south shows Roose how bad Ramsay's political decisions are when left on his own, including:
Leaving Donella Hornwood for dead, horrifically abusing Theon who is a valuable hostage and a potential ally, being unable to keep good optics and alienating his allies ("Surely you misspeak. You never slew Lord Eddard's sons, those two sweet boys we loved so well. [...] How many of our grudging friends do you imagine we'd retain if the truth were known? Only Lady Barbrey, whom you would turn into a pair of boots … " - Reek III, aDwD), abusing his wife "Arya Stark" who is beloved by their Northern allies, and more...
We see in the aDwD Theon chapters that Roose is still giving Ramsay advice and counsel (see again the Reek III quote), however he also appears to be despairing of him:
"I know." Lord Bolton sighed. "His blood is bad. He needs to be leeched. The leeches suck away the bad blood, all the rage and pain. No man can think so full of anger. Ramsay, though … his tainted blood would poison even leeches, I fear." - Reek III, aDwD
We also see in later Theon chapters that he frequently holds meetings without Ramsay:
[Roose:] "The hall is not the place for such discussions, my lords. Let us adjourn to the solar whilst my son consummates his marriage. The rest of you, remain and enjoy the food and drink." - The Prince of Winterfell, aDwD
Lord Bolton was not alone. Lady Dustin sat with him, pale-faced and severe; an iron horsehead brooch clasped Roger Ryswell's cloak; Aenys Frey stood near the fire, pinched cheeks flushed with cold.  - A Ghost in Winterfell, aDwD
[Lady Dustin said] "Roose is not pleased. Tell your bastard that." - The Turncloak, aDwD
Implying he is losing faith in his son, or otherwise does not trust him or value his input when it comes to political situations; a bad omen considering heirs like Robb usually sit with their fathers in councils.
My impression is that Roose initially adopted Ramsay as an heir for the following reasons:
- Sentimentality, since Ramsay is a son of his own blood ("I should've had the mother whipped and thrown her child down a well … but the babe did have my eyes." [...] "Now [Domeric's] bones lie beneath the Dreadfort with the bones of his brothers, who died still in the cradle, and I am left with Ramsay. Tell me, my lord … if the kinslayer is accursed, what is a father to do when one son slays another?" - Reek III aDwD). As a member of a patriarchal society, Roose was raised with the expectation that he will continue his bloodline, and so likely has the wish to be succeeded by his son.
- Practicality, since Ramsay is already an adult, so he doesn't have to raise and invest in another child for years ("That's for the best. I will not live long enough to see new sons to manhood, and boy lords are the bane of any House." - Reek III, aDwD). [Speculation: For a new son, he would also have to remarry, and both his prior wives are implied to not have liked him ("The two before her never made a sound in bed" - Reek III, aDwD) while he also doesnt speak of them with fondness - so he might also prefer to be single and raise his bastard instead of having to deal with yet another unpassionate/unloving marriage (considering he's middle aged and uncharismatic, a young new wife wouldn't be thrilled about him), until he finds a marriage that provides him a good benefit (like the Frey money + alliance).]
- The belief that, despite Ramsay being raised a peasant and having violent tendencies, it is possible to "educate him" so that he becomes a functioning member of society (see again my point about Roose counseling him). Roose possibly initially projects some of his own personality on Ramsay (Compare this meta i wrote).
During aGoT-aSoS he must have still thought Ramsay viable, which is why he has him legitimized by the crown. He has not known Ramsay closely for long; This explains why he kept him around even though he is so unfit as an heir (it takes time to fully realize that), but also explains why he is so dismissive of him, as that short time of knowing him as an adult would not make him fond of Ramsay the same way one might be fond of a child they raised.
Roose then realizes after the war, as seen in a Dance with Dragons, that Ramsay is not a fitting heir. What this means for the later books is open for now... Will he abandon Ramsay? Use him as a scapegoat? Or still try to salvage him? I personally believe he is starting to see Ramsay as a danger, and is starting to think about how to best get rid of him.
Just before the Red Wedding he talks very dismissively about how Ramsay could be executed for his crimes, but obviously he knows Robb's never gonna get the chance so maybe he cares more than that.
My belief is that Roose is fundamentally selfish and worried about his own skin. While he has the goal to establish Ramsay as a capable heir, he prioritizes his own safety and reputation. By distancing himself from Ramsay's crimes in front of the other Northmen, he can't be blamed for them; by using Ramsay as a scapegoat for Bolton crimes, he himself can wash his hands from the involvement and won't be hurt if any crimes come to light. If he keeps pointing attention at how Ramsay is wild/cruel/treacherous, then the northmen are more likely to suspect/blame Ramsay than the "peaceful" Roose. Also, even if he cared for Ramsay, he would never openly admit it because it's something that could be used against him (same reason as to why he generally keeps his emotions under wraps).
If you compare this scene from aCoK (where Ramsay is believed dead) with the scene you mentioned from aSoS, you can see that to prioritize his own safety and reputation he will sacrifice Ramsay; but he will also defend Ramsay ("Yet he is a good fighter, as cunning as he is fearless.") as long as it serves his interests, of course while still keeping an emotional distance.
One important thing about Roose is that he does not always say the things he actually thinks; When looking at his quotes it is not only important to look at what he says, but which intentions he has with his words and what effect he wants them to have on the person listening. Compare this quote by grrm:
Lord Bolton may well have all sorts of things in mind. Whether or not he would act on any of those thoughts is another matter. Roose is the sort of fellow who keeps his thoughts to himself. - SSM
But Ramsay (probably) killed precious Domeric
"Ramsay killed him. A sickness of the bowels, Maester Uthor says, but I say poison." - Roose in Reek III, aDwD
This is speculative, but I personally believe that case is not as clear-cut as it is made to look. Poisoning Domeric does not necessarily seem like Ramsay's style; i often see people in fandom suspect that his mother is actually the culprit. I personally suspect the first Reek of killing Domeric - we know he once stole perfume, meaning he knows his way around the castle, and he also got looked at by a maester implying he might know the maester’s chamber where poisons could be kept. He has ample reason to hate Roose, who let him live with the pigs and had him whipped and later sent him to live with Ramsay, but also seems to have interest in improving Ramsay's status ("She made him, her and Reek, always whispering in his ear about his rights." - Reek III aDwD). He is also known to be inseperable from Ramsay, so if Ramsay went to meet Domeric, Reek would come with him.
Either way it could be that Roose just didnt initially believe Ramsay killed Domeric since it looked like he died from sickness, and only later changed his mind on this issue - note that Barbrey Dustin, whom he is implied to have regularly spent time with shortly before the quote about Ramsay killing Domeric, seems to be a believer that Ramsay was the murderer, so she might be the one who convinced Roose; And maybe Ramsay's bad conduct during the time of the war aided to make Roose believe her. Changing his mind on this could influence his decision on what to do with Ramsay come the Winds of Winter.
Or alternatively, if we’re keeping closer to the text, he just thought the positives of keeping Ramsay outweigh the negatives of him being a kinslayer; however it seems odd that Roose, who is so worried about his safety, would adopt a man if his first act he knows of was this treacherous and dangerous. Then again he frequently verbally states that he does not see Ramsay as a threat, which can be read in different ways depending on if you take it as a literal statement or as a tool to enact dominance over his dangerous son.
"All you have I gave you. You would do well to remember that, bastard.” [...]
“I know what he said. You're to spy on me and keep his secrets." Bolton chuckled. "As if he had secrets. Sour Alyn, Luton, Skinner, and the rest, where does he think they came from? Can he truly believe they are his men?"  - Reek III, aDwD
What does he actually feel about him and potential Walda baby(-ies)?
I think he would like to have a son that continues his values and manages to be a capable heir to continue the Bolton line. Domeric was the ideal son, talented and competent, and Roose invested a lot of time and money in giving him a great education. Now that Domeric died and all of this is down the drain, and Roose himself isn't getting any younger, he wants to have a new heir in a way that's the most convenient for him. It appears to me like he is currently weighing the positives of each option (Ramsay or new Baby), and it might even be that he has already come to a decision, considering how he is starting to grow frustrated with Ramsay.
"I have become oddly fond of my fat little wife. [...] Ramsay will kill [all the sons she bears me], of course. That's for the best. I will not live long enough to see new sons to manhood, and boy lords are the bane of any House." - Reek III, aDwD
In line with my earlier point about Roose’ words also being about the effect and not just the message, I believe the line about him being ok with Ramsay killing his sons might be very calculated towards the fact that Roose knows Theon is to report everything he hears back to Ramsay. If Ramsay hears this, he is placated, because it confirms that he is still the main Bolton heir - which means that he does not have to think about harming Lady Walda (because the sons are no threat to his position), and he does not have to think about harming Roose (because he just has to wait until he can succeed him).
Of course all of this post is based off the first five books, so the interpretation may change once the next book comes out or through a different reading of the lines.

omg u caught me (asstrid) :3 still gonna send u a few more also
11 for fabenquie
16, 17, and 18 for illestia
21 for domino
26 aureum
41 for mesoda
44 for fabinque again
i haaavent checked if anyone else sent these but have fun :]
hiii astrid :] thank u 4 all of these theyre fun
11 – In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?
ohhh astrid im sure u can assume. in terms of backstory, it's the moment that he learned that one of his own students had used the exact magic he'd engineered to hurt people. the fact that something of his own design could be used by someone who had such little regard for the consequences of their actions, and the saftey of others, was something that fabenquie was! not fond of! he hated the thought that he was at fault for teaching that power to someone who was so arrogant, and that he had given someone who was willing to hurt others, the *ability* to do so. from that point on, fabenquie made it a person rule that he would only ever teach students that he knew for absolute certain that he could trust.
16 – Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success?
i think, in a similar way to minnie, illestia doesnt quite see a difference. HOWEVER. illestia may be a very very very smart child, but theyre also. a child. i think they care more for short term gratification, and jn that regard, definitely idealizes happiness more. because. yknow. theyre 9.
17 – What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?
would it upset you to know that they Probably dont have any toys
18 – Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others?
AMBITION omfg ambition all the way. they could care Less abt wisdom, they think it's annoying, if anything. but hooooly crap if they find out that youre Also striving for something great?? theyre going 2 b fucking Obsessed w u theyd follow you around everywhere asking a billion questions
21 – If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others?
Haha. domino would absolutely vocalize the fact that he entirely blames others, and will even go as far as to try and Prove that he blames them. the issue is that, being as he is, that's what domino will SAY. but there's certainly many, many situations where he's instead blaming himself, and is just too scared and defensive to say it. especially in regards to upsetting lady tenebris.
26 – How does your character behave around children?
oh my god aureum loves kids. like i think she'd be rlly sweet— even if she probably struggles to Fully understand their needs and stuff (yknow, autism + being a half-dragon and not knowing much about how to raise children that. Aren't Dragons), she's really nice. she's definitely also very like... idk, respectful of them? she Treats them like they understand, bc she doesnt think kids r stupid. shes good and nice.
41 – Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first?
. FOR MESODA? oh my god he fully believes that he deserves it. hes such a little bitch he thinks that he deserves everything he wants and More omfg
44 – How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it?
it depends on the context, but i think for the most part he doesnt actually have That much trouble saying it? he just doesnt rlly have many people hed say it To, and fabenquie definitely isn't the type to say ANYTHING without meaning it. unless its directed at a certain Someone, but that's not a situation hed say "i love you" in <3 hes just Slightly mean to One specific person <3

Curious Beginnings: Mollymauk (Part 1)
I’m re-watching campaign 2 focusing in Mollymauk’s behavior and trying to analyze it. I don’t know i will continue this, or the reaction that this might get, but here it is. It’s a simple way to divide canon/fanon Molly that i enjoy doing, so just...you can read it and comment your opinions if you want. Sorry if there’s any mistakes or nonsense in my writing, english isn’t my first language. (next part) (all parts)
The first encounter is easy: both Molly and Yasha enter the bar where the rest of the group just met. This is interesting because it makes you think why Molly, who is just leaving invitations and selling the event, needs security there? Did something happend in the past that made them do this together or is just simply two besties deciding to do a walk together while they spread the news of the circus? Matt mentions how Molly jumps from table to table ~the tiefling engaging in some distant conversations, leaving a slip of paper, walking to the next table. Gauging the atmosphere, not leaving a slip of paper, and quickly moving on~ this honestly makes me think that something DID happend in the past and thats why Yasha is there, especially because Molly is a tiefling and he has a bold personality. But he can read the situation and remove himself from it quickly before having to deal with the consequences, even if he is someone that a lot of times tries to be persuasive. Matt mentions that the table where the group is, is very awkward and tense. Taelisin asks if he sees any coin and Matt answers that no. The combination of awkwarness, tension and no coin is not good for someone that is trying to sell something, but Mollymauk for some reason still decides that he will talk with this group. Which also means that the other tables that he did not engaged a lot with, it wasnt for the lack of coin or the amount of awkwardness\tension.
As someone who is introvert, Mollymauk's attitude is ridiculous but i know it works, he is fantastic at his job. Even if has a very strong presence, and he notices that Jester and Beau are the ones that seem to be more able to communicate with. When Jester asks if he performs, he says "AH......i'm less of a performer and more of an intermediary for these parts" you can feel his brain going around and changing the tactic to not lose the excitement that Jester is showing, thats why also he might not be so comfortable in what he is saying, unlike his first rehearsal speech "I do on occasion perform...ah...i can read fortunes-" he doesnt go too deep into anything, either because he's throwing things and seeing if he can catch anything or because is possible that the perform part is not that truth, or at least he's not that confident in selling that part of himself. So he goes with what he knows: fortunes. When Jester responds to that very excited, his seller confidence and ego go high again. (Jester) "You are so smart!" (Mollymauk) "thats what they tell me". And he sits down, completly confident on whatever he plans to do. Sidenote: he does this in the middle of Beau saying "I don't...think...". She kind of fascinated with this event and seemed very interested in the "good time" that Molly was selling without any animosity, thats it, until the mention of the cards. This is where this relationship starts to shift in the one that we all know.
Now, he's looking for coin. And Jester is right there. (J) "Do you know my name?" (M) "What is your name?" (J) "Jester" (M) "I know your name now!" *both laugh* ah, thats so fucking cute. (M) "And we are friends now!" like yes, Molly wants money from her, it might be kind of fakey, and thats not actually a bad thing in my mind. He's doing his job, trying to live and make others have a good time while he does that. I do think that he likes Jester, she seems a very nice client, i'm sure that he has to deal with some assholes. His job is engaging with the public, we all know that that is a nightmare. He introduces himself and then Yasha, adding that "she's a charm!" and then laughing. This happens, i think, because for him, Yasha IS a charm, he loves her. But he also is very aware of the importance of looks and presentation, which makes his words funny if you don't know her. He continues trying to sell the forture, and he is very sure on how much he wants: this is business, this is his nature and he is in his sauce.
Ok, let me stop a moment because...i knew that doing this was gonna kill me because of the Yasha and Molly moments but man, this is an early start. When Molly is trying to do the fortune for Jester, Yasha says her first long sentence "He's really quite good, you all should line up and get your fortunes told". Sure, she is selling the business but she's also selling his friend's "talent" and this is just such a sweet thing to say.
Fortune moment. Insight and sleight-of-hand. Matt focuses the insight in "what this person, Jester, wants". The proper reading consists in giving the client what Mollymauk feels that they want, again, gaining money but also making the other person happy. First card: Silver Dragon. "Pure, virtue, wonderful human being!" Love that, go secure: the bs that the horoscope always sells and makes the person happy. Adventures in your future, you have a destiny! (queue to Yasha doing "ohhhh" with Jester. guys this is so cute). And then Taelisin, or Mollymauk decides to grab another card when he hears about the snake adventure: the serpent card. Oh, he is now sitting in the throne of his own bullshit and he loves being the king: "i'm a simple vessel for highter powers"'. Jester can't be more happy. Curious and suspicious Caleb tries Detect Magic, nothing shows up. Without actually knowing how this fortune thing works, he whispers to Nott "he's bullshiting her". Tealisin laughs. But i can see also Mollymauk laughing to be honest. And then, the Eye card (which is interesting because there's so many mentions of eyes in this campaign), "you've already found the clue" which we know its true, because of Beau, the card and the Gentleman. Mollymauk was looking for a mysterious route, Taelisin at least knew that this was the beggining for Jester and this was the group that will be with her. He says that the specifics are much more expensive, and i cant blame him for looking for more money. Then, as the master seller that he is, he makes the compromise of doing an extensive reading if they show up at the show.
The barmaid comes back with Yasha's ale and is on the house, because Yasha is intimidating as fuck. Both Molly and Yasha seem celebrate this and i can already see how this dynamic works and how they unite to get the most money and the least cost, honestly? bestie goals. Why the fandom doesnt have more stupid adventures of these two doing this kind of stuff?? gay disasters. and talking about gay disasters, Beau asks what Yasha does, and she answers that she puts the tent because she's very strong, but doesn't do anything in the show. She doesn't seem to make a big deal out of this. Molly immediately jumps and with some fancy language, he basically says that Yasha is "capable of keeping issues contained", implying the trust that they have in Yasha with their security, an important job in their line of work.
He shows even more of his skills of selling with Nott and Caleb, saying that they are gonna waste MORE money if they don't go to the show. He sells it so naturally that if you don't stop and think for a second on what he's saying, you totally buy it. I think that something similar happens with Percy in the last campaign, people think that he's really smart even when his plans mostly fail and sometimes what he says is just bullshit-but the confidence is what makes it all great.
Do you guys remember the moments where Fjord tries to make Beau more charming? that's exactly what i'm seeing with Molly and Yasha. I do think that they have those kind of conversations, especially hearing their goodbyes. (M) "You are all the most charming people that i've met in-" and then Yasha tries to clumsy copy it (Y) "Yep, nice to meet you all. You're so, uh, wonderful". Mollymauk, without laughing or making a joke of it, or at least i don't feel it, gestures to Yasha saying "Charm! Pure charm!" This feels like someone seeing their best friend trying to do the best and he encourages it. His interventions make Yasha's awkwardness less awkward, and shows his support.
And then they leave.
(I just watched one hour of the first episode, if someone likes this i can continue)

skyrim time... i may have accidentally created several future serial killers. u know how it is
Tumblr media
---
so i went to investigate what was going on at that orphanage to drive a kid to black magic ritual sacrifice to try to summon assassins to murder the owner
Tumblr media
this was the first thing i heard upon entering said orphanage, not a good first impression,
talked to the kids, the old lady, and the assistant working there, turns out “grelod the kind” is an ironic nickname bc shes Just Awful, doesnt even want the kids to be adopted, they all hate her, everyone hates her, they’re all miserable, there’s CLEAR evidence that shes been locking them in a room shackled to the wall as punishments/possibly starving them/etc, and the assistant lady seemed nice/the kids like her so its like, if the old lady dies the kids will be taken care of,
while i do not think this was a situation that necessarily called for murder, Gotta Do Something, right,
so. i just. kind of. quietly followed her into her room and shut the door
Tumblr media
her very recently arrow-struck corpse suddenly. teleported out into the main room for some reason and the kids were DELIGHTED :’  )
i dont know how the hell i got away with this. strange shady looking woman with a bow enters orphanage. goes into old lady’s room and shuts the door behind her. moments later old lady is found dead with an arrow in her back. who could have done this
Tumblr media
i may have made a poor decision here,
:’   )
Tumblr media
for some reason it did not count as a murder despite the fact that it DEFINITELY was
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[mrs puff voice] what are the consequences of what ive just done
Tumblr media
well that cant be good
i didnt get caught for the murder (had a guard be like “heeyyy didnt i see you coming out of that orphanage right around when old grelod was killed....” but he didnt act on it and dropped it lmao) and it happened... indoors so there were no witnesses but. someone seems to have. Found Out
Tumblr media
two dragons havin a chat
also did. they actually come up with a whole dragon language for this game
Tumblr media
oh shit
so the dragons can Definitely talk and understand language and everything. which means they’re not just like, bears attacking people bc they’re bears, they’re consciously thinking beings who are choosing to attack, but Why
Tumblr media
oK SURE DID YOU NEED TO LAUNCH ME INTO THE FUCKING SKY TO TELL ME THIS THOUGH
Tumblr media
so. what is it. just like. a glob of ectoplasm or something,
Tumblr media
this guy died in this position n then just. stayed like that. ok
Tumblr media
is it racist to say AAWWWWHH LOOKIT THE KITTIES
Tumblr media
looking at this fuckin sick sword i got
Tumblr media
i dont know what caused this but i was glowing for a bit. probably not a good sign but i liked it lmao
Tumblr media
i dont remember who this guy was but here he is stuck in a gate and also on fire
Tumblr media
i absolutely dont but ill take your word for it
Tumblr media
so it turns out not only are the companions actually a bunch of werewolves, but they’re also some kind of werewolf cult that now wants me to be a werewolf with them, and, No, :’  )
they werent offended when i declined but like. the quest is still stuck in my log and its a “ok we’ll be here when you’re ready” kinda thing like, i Have a choice in that i. can just abandon this quest line but its basically “be a werewolf with us or you Never get to finish this quest” which is :’  |
oh well i wasnt really invested in the companions anyway lmao i just kind of accidentally joined them via not realizing what i was agreeing to and clicking buttons too fast in the first place
we’re still friends as far as im concerned
Tumblr media
my kids have started occasionally asking me for an allowance and i have the option to just give them 1000 gold and u better believe i am spoiling the fuck out of these children lmao
skyrim let these girls down. ur my babies now
i dont really have a clear sense of whats A Lot Of Money in this game but my adventuring’s got me pretty well off right now so i can definitely afford to do this
Tumblr media
this poor guard... i dont know what he was trying to do but he took off running past me so i followed him for a bit to see where he was going and he got stuck on a rock. ran in place for a bit. then just kinda stopped and stood there staring off into the distance. help him

he hoards items as a result, and he doesn’t like people touching his things. throwing stuff away is hard. he has methods of managing it, tactics that help when he knows he needs to reduce clutter, but it’s still difficult.
one of his personal rituals involves the pins on his jacket. he checks them frequently throughout the day to make sure they haven’t fallen off. when he washes his jacket, he has to put the pins in the exact same spot (the holes there are worn open and visible, which makes it much easier). he has a specific pattern when he checks them too, & he jokes that its like those games where u have to hit the buttons in the same pattern that they light up in
violent intrusive thoughts central, babey! often coupled w graphic imagery. hes having a great time! love it
also like. anxiety and depression
sighs. and insomnia. he cant sleep! especially in unfamiliar environments. and he has to turn things “away” or else he feels watched (which i think is from his ocd)
SIGHS. and adhd, while we’re at it. infodumping hours are the best bc vivi and lewis are very good listeners even when they have no idea what hes talking about. (and vivi, although not inclined towards mechanics and robotics, is good at asking questions that help push the conversation forward. lewis has a tougher time but he makes up for it in attentiveness)
he doesnt medicate because finding meds that dont exacerbate other aspects is difficult. he had a therapist for a good while, though, after uncle lance took him in, so he has a lot of different methods of helping himself
and he has rly supportive, understanding friends who also have their own mental and physical issues so it’s like. they get it. Everyone Gets It.
hes a gamer......
he likes puzzle games a lot, but rpgs are usually what he plays
not that he plays them OFTEN because turns out he has 20 other projects to work on (haha what do i mean im projecting. dont talk to me.)
also trans??? hes dfab binary trans guy
he didn’t make, like, robo-prosthesis himself, those existed before his amputation, but when he was fitted with his own he either built the whole thing from scratch or he totally revamped the one he got
he has a shoulder port and actually, he’s decided, it SUCKS,
if he isn’t careful about the weather, the metal will freeze or heat up and i mean. you can imagine the consequences
rapid changes in weather and pressure causes pain
phantom limb pain in general is just here. and he
is tired
also hes bi, and poly, and
laughs
but yeah. i hc hes been on t for.... a while? but i have a side hc where he hasnt been on t purely because i get really shitty cramps and im projecting those onto him. u cant stop me.
and now..... some (more) vivi, and also some lewis stuff, and actually just a buncha general stuff
lewis joins arthur in the depression club. they high five about it
vivi is also trans! shes hella nonbinary. still uses she/her, but like. .. .
shes nb. mayyyybe genderfluid btwn Woman and a smattering of nb identities. i havent made up my mind yet
all of them actually have adhd, ive decided just now. all three of them. its party town, its infodump hours, no one can stop them and no one can stop me,
lewis and arthur bond over puzzle games. they all play mystery games when the desire hits
vivi almost ALWAYS gets first in mario kart. shes just too good
arthur kicks butt at super smash bros tho and can usually win
lewis’s strong suit isnt really fighting-based games. he likes exploration and socializing. theres probably an mmorpg they all play together
vivi is the fighter, arthurs the spellcaster, and lewis is the combination alchemist/healer
theyve probably played dungeons and dragons. i can see them sitting in the back of the van on late nights out, trying to play but devolving into conversations about enemy logistics or game mechanics or like. something entirely unrelated
lewis deserves his own section to discuss this in greater detail but he came from a wealthy/royal background. i have evidence to back this up. i have no idea if other people have thought of this
hes VERY bi
lewis is the mom friend, except he runs himself into the ground caring about other people so much so that vivi and arthur actively have to work to get him to relax and take time for himself. its a lot of work! he just wants to make sure everyone else is taken care of, “which is lovely, lewis, really,” vivi assures. “but you really need to look out for yourself too, y’know,” arthur pipes up.
like you either gang up on him or it just isnt going to work. hes full of love and a desperate need to prove himself
wheezes. he and arthur bond over abandonment issues
ok if i dont stop i will actually never stop, so. folds hands. thanks for listening.

truth is I dislike how got handled arya for they made her into a mary sue who lost her personality ( and arya is way to op and shouldnt have survvived what the waif did to her being stabbed and falling into sewage ( infection etc) and shouldnt have killed the night king ( it should have been jon or bran or someone who actually fit the prophecy grrm doesnt subvert expectations just to be shocking quote from grrm (1/2)
"It’s easy to do things that are shocking or unexpected, but they have to grow out of characters. They have to grow out of situations. Otherwise, it’s just being shocking for being shocking.”   I can imagine either dany ( whose dragons are called flaming swords or jon being azor ahai   given all the foreshadowing to it (2/2)
Well, I’ve been saying for literal years now that I dislike how Arya is handled in the show, combining her arc with Lady Stoneheart’s and removing her from facing consequences long before all of the other characters stopped facing consequences (this season). All except Dany, of course.
That said, I love book!Arya, and her character as a whole, I thought, was honestly handled the best out of anyone this season because the producers like her--and that’s saying something since she still wasn’t handled well, like you say, and I’ll get into that. But what I did like was that she at least got to see Death as something other than something to be worshipped. It’s horrific. It scars and it can never be undone.
For what I disliked: Arya was presented as xenophobic “she’s not one of us” when Arya in the books (and in the show!) literally names her direwolf for a warrior queen. She’d stan the hell outta Dany in the books. And we were also supposed to justify Arya’s xenophobia because the brown people did turn out to be savage. Ew. I should also add that Arya in the books likes learning about other cultures very much--she’s inquisitive, and she wants to learn about people. She’s not isolationist and then suddenly not (like, Arya’s xenophobic comments don’t even work with her arc’s ending in the show? IT’S SUCH A MESS)
As for the Night King thing... yeah that was BS. I could have justified it if the rest of the season worked out, but it didn’t. I don’t consider it a Mary Sue situation because like... the rules of reality only applied to Dany and to no other characters (Jon anyone), but the NK conflict was clearly part of Jon’s arc, with Dany also being tied to it (Kinvara anyone?). Making it Arya who ends that conflict just for shits and giggles is really bad writing. Arya might play an important role in the Others fight in the books--I’d like to see that--but it won’t be this one.
This was just shocking for being shocking, like you said, but the actual plot beats were just. Flat bad. They completely ignored the Boatbaby foreshadowing, and like I’ve said before, that is really painful for me. Pretty much nothing mattered for the plot, characters, books, themes in this season.
I can only hope GRRM ends it better, and that Dany does not turn to a villain in his books but rather has an “abyss” moment and then grows from it. I’d argue the only way her arc would work with the villain descent is if it is not the end of her arc (aka, why it works for Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: we know he’s redeemed before we watch his fall). Which has nothing to do with her personally and everything to do with the hero’s journey and protagonist coding. Sigh. You can’t switch out a hero for a villain in terms of coding midway and have that work, not even if you are GRRM.
As for Azor Ahai, yeah... Jon and/or Dany are clearly a part of that. I can see Dany getting Nissa Nissa’d. Still killed for the sake of the realm, but as a hero, not as a villain who needs to be put down like a mad dog. I’d still hate it, but it at least wouldn’t be as disgustingly reductive socially and character-wise as this was.

I know ya’ll loved the idea of aria killing the NK (In alot of ways I absoultely did to) but I just cant ignore the fact that it does not make a LICK of sense,so AGAIN,I wrote an alternative climax. So, the exact same thing happened,But when she plunged the dagger into the NK’s heart, He didnt die,so he starts to choke aria to death and just as he’s about to murder her,His facial expression changes and it cuts to a wideshot of bran’s hand plunged into the NK’s back. He then pulls out of his back with the shard of dragon glass that was used to make him in his hand. The NK drops Aria and turns to bran. All the white walkers explode and the dead begin also falling. The NK’s eyes turn from that ice blue, back to a human color, He falls to his knees and starts turning to dust and before he completely fades he looks up at bran and says thank you. In this scenario,It would give the three eyed raven an actual purpose and also remove the big ‘WTF this doesnt make any goddamned sense’ moment of the NK surviving direct fucking dragon fire but being killed by a valyrian dagger, when the ONLY thing that makes it special is how its (allegedy) forged by dragonfire. Also it would tie in some lore...I.e the greenseers created the NK and so it would make sense that the Last greenseer would be the one to kill him. And as far as azor ahai,While bran doesnt completely fit the profecy,His rebirth into the three eyes raven took a long time and during this time,we see salt and smoke (the take over and consequent burning down of winterfell by the iron born can be interpreted as this),The red star is also seen in winterfell (and this happens specifically when bran has his first true green dream). As far as light bringer,Think about how valyrian is constantly misinterpreted,Maybe the act of bran pulling the dragonglass shard out of the NK’s heart is what is actually ment by the sword part of the profecy. And yeah bran isnt born of the line of rhaella and aerys II, But this part of the profecy isnt part of the original, rather an addition by the ghost of high heart and yeah she may have predicted some stuff that came true but at the end of the day she could have been wrong. What i’m saying, the writers may have wanted to shock us,but shock for shockvalue’s sake is bad writting. I wager that bran actually being the one to Kill the NK would have been just as shocking (If not more) and would actually fit the context of the show. And this way, Aria is still a VITAL part of taking the NK down, and also this way, while we dont really get a back story to the NK it gives us more than just he’s bad, because reasons.

Dragon Ball Z 002
Tumblr media
Meanwhile at Master Roshi’s place, Bulma’s here!
I wouldn’t say this is my favorite Bulma outfit, but it does look very sharp.
Tumblr media
Roshi and Krillin are here because this is Roshi’s house, and I guess Krillin just lives here all the time?    We never really get a clear answer on this.   Anyway, Roshi has a giant mug of beer, which is kind of odd since we never saw him drink this much before.   He had a can of beer when Goku came to become his student back in Episode 14, but that was about it.   Now it’s like “Hey, it’s DBZ, I’m gettin’ my drink on.”
Tumblr media
Anyway, Bulma smacks the shit out of him because he couldn’t go a full minute without sexually harassing her.   Master Roshi belongs in jail.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh, here’s a hot update: Bulma and Yamcha are on the outs again.   Let me just break down the timeline of their relationship.
Age 749: Bulma and Yamcha hook up.
Age 750: Yamcha leaves to train for the 21st Budokai.   Bulma gets mad at him for it and pretty much stays mad at him through the Fortuneteller Baba arc.
Age 750-753: Bulma appears to live with Master Roshi while he trains Yamcha for the 22nd Budokai.
Age 753-756: Roshi advises Yamcha to train on his own elsewhere, and he does it.
Age 761: Bulma is so mad at Yamcha that she neither knows nor cares where he is.
I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade, but this relationship wore on for over a decade, and they spent most of it either in separate locations or on the outs, or both at once.
Tumblr media
Bulma asks where Launch is, and Krillin explains that she went looking for Tien years ago.   So I guess everyone just went their separate ways after the 23rd Budokai ended.    The fact that Bulma isn’t aware of Launch’s disappearance suggests that she hasn’t been to Kame House in five years either.
Tumblr media
Anyway Goku shows up and he’s all “What up, here’s my kid.”
Tumblr media
Everyone’s all shocked, and I don’t really know why.    Everyone talked about how hot Chi-Chi was at the 23rd Budokai.   Did they really think Goku was just gonna move in with her and this wasn’t going to happen?   No.   No, Goku knows what’s up.
Tumblr media
They ask how old Gohan is and he has to count on his fingers before answering.  This kid is adorable.
Tumblr media
And he wants to be a great scholar when he grows up.   Good on you, kid.
Tumblr media
Turtle walks up to him and he’s all “No, you can totally pet me, it’s cool,” so Gohan does and it’s great.
Tumblr media
Everyone worries about Gohan turning into a giant ape when the moon is full, but they can’t just come out and ask about it, because Goku doesn’t know that he used to do that before Kami removed his tail.
Tumblr media
They also ask if Gohan’s got any fighting talent, but Chi-Chi won’t let Goku train him because she thinks it would be a waste of time.
Tumblr media
Frankly, Chi-Chi has a point.   Being Goku’s son, Gohan’s bound to be a fighting prodigy whether he trains now or not.   Why not get him educated, and that way he’ll have the best of both worlds?
Tumblr media
Then the alien from the last episode shows up.   He calls Goku “Kakarot” and tells him he looks just like their dad.    Uh-oh.
Tumblr media
So here’s the quick version: Grandpa Gohan found Baby Goku in the forest.   We know that part of the story.    What he never told anyone (except Master Roshi) is that Goku was inside a space capsule at the time.    Baby Goku was pretty rowdy as babies go, but then he fell and his his head, and later he recovered and became a much more good-natured boy.
Tumblr media
Our alien visitor here introduces himself as Raditz, and fills in the gaps.   That space capsule was from the Saiyan homeworld, Planet Vegeta, and they were the ones who sent Kakarot here.   Thanks to the bump on his head, the kid forgot everything he knew about his mission and his identity, so that’s how he ended up as the Goku we know today.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Krillin doesn’t understand why the Saiyan would send a baby to Earth, so Raditz explains that the Saiyans invade planets and eradicate their native populations, so that other aliens can purchase the empty worlds as real estate.
Tumblr media
The planets with tougher inhabitants require adult Saiyans, but they send the infants to loser planets like Earth that’ll be easier to conquer.
Now, a lot of what Raditz is saying here was overruled by later retcons by Akira Toriyama in the Dragon Ball Minus story, which was later adapted into the recent feature film “Dragon Ball Super: Broly”.   In that version, we find that Goku’s parents were the ones who sent Goku to Earth, because they suspected that Frieza might try to destroy them all.    Gine contacts Raditz to tell him where they sent Goku, but she never explains to him why.
Consequently, Raditz simply assumed that Kakarot was sent to Earth on an official assignment, and he simply forgot that assignment because of his bump on the head.   According to DB Minus, though, Goku never had an assignment because his trip to Earth was unauthorized.   Bardock stole the Attack Ball and sent it to Earth before anyone could find out about it.
A lot of fans have complained about this altered premise, probably because they liked the original notion of Goku as an inversion of Superman.   He was sent to Earth to destroy it, and ended up becoming its greatest hero.   The modern version basically embraces the Superman trope, because Bardock and Gine sent Goku to Earth specifically to save him from their planet’s destruction, and for no other reason.   Bardock even picked Earth because it’s native population would be no threat to baby Kakarot, just as Jor-El predicted that Earth’s yellow sun would be beneficial to Kal-El.
Personally, I’m on board with the newer revision.   It’s not that I necessarily prefer the kinder, gentler Goku origin story, but I like the irony that Raditz is completely unaware of it.   He only knows what he’s been told, and Goku knows even less still.   He can only assume that Goku was sent here for the cruelest, most violent reasons possible, because that’s the way Raditz thinks.
Tumblr media
In any event, a lot of what Raditz says in this episode gets overturned later anyway.   In particular, he says that Planet Vegeta was destroyed by a meteor collision, leaving only four survivors: Himself, his two allies, and Goku.  We’ll later learn that the meteor story was a ruse, and other Saiyan survivors would be introduced over the years, though not very many.
Tumblr media
So why did Raditz come here, then?   Turns out there’s a planet he and his two allies plan to conquer, but they think they can use an extra set of hands.  Raditz remembered Goku, and came here to recruit him.   He thinks Goku would be thriled at the chance to kill and destroy on an alien world, but Goku’s not interested.
Tumblr media
So Raditz considers young Gohan instead.
Tumblr media
I think the dub implies that Raditz would be willing to take Gohan as a substitute for Goku, but the Japanese script only refers to Gohan as a hostage.   Raditz threatens to kill the boy tomorrow, unless Goku kills 100 Earthlings and lines them up on Roshi’s island as proof of his willingness to join Raditz.   Oh, and Goku tries to fight Raditz, but he just gets clobbered in one hit.
So, here’s the thing about Raditz.   As an individual character, he doesn’t bring a whole lot to the table, since he doesnt’ stick around for very long.    The main appeal of him, I think, is the bigger impact his presence has on the entire story.   Raditz is THE prototype for the entire Saiyan species.   Every Saiyan introduced after Raditz is based upon him in some way.    The way he talks, the way he carries himself, the talk of violence stirring Saiyan blood, etc.
Of course, Goku’s been a Saiyan all along, but he didn’t know until just now.  Raditz stands as a monument to everything Goku could have been, but isn’t, thanks to his upbringing on Earth.   This is the other reason I like the retcons established in DB Minus and Broly.   Without them, we’re left to assume that ruthlessness is just an inborn trait of the Saiyan race, and that Goku is an exception to the rule.    But if Bardock and Gine would go out of their way to save their son the way they did, then maybe a lot of the easy cruelty Raditz preaches is just a corruption of Saiyan honor, and he pretends it’s their way when it’s nothing more than an excuse.
Tumblr media
What Raditz doesn’t get about Goku is that his Saiyan blood is stirred by what Raditz is saying.    Only, he’s not excited about slaughtering a bunch of innocent people; he’s excited about throwing hands with someone as strong as Raditz.   Maybe “excited” is the wrong word, since Goku admits a few times that he’s too scared by Raditz’ immense power to enjoy fighting him.   Still, Goku repeatedly defies him, despite the overwhelming odds.    That’s Goku’s own take on Saiyan pride, and Raditz is the one who’s too blind to see it.
