I'm sorry but i cannot stop thinking of the "Minthara isn't actually evil, she was being controlled" argument because it might just be one of the stupidest things I have seen in a while. Yes she was being controlled when murdering the tieflings, but when she asks you, once she's in possession of herself again, why you did it she specifies that she doesn't really care about the mass murder, but is just curious about your reasoning. If you tell her you did it to impress her, she approves and tells you that well, she has done more foolish things to impress lesser people. To my knowledge, If you destroy the crown and ask her if it doesn't feel good to have done the right thing she straight-up says no because what she wanted was to take the crown and the world and reshape it, not for the better, but to serve her purposes. The first thing she says when you reach the city is that they should let the refugees in so the children and elderly can be used as emergency provisions and those of abled bodies enslaved and used as cannon fodder once the war starts. Are these people even listening to a single sentence this woman says. Are you all okay. Can you just leave the evil lady alone. Some of us have taste and know how to enjoy.

clown nose honk it's time to start the greatest show
very brief drabble under the cut bc i don't know if i have the capability to write a full-length chapter about this no matter how hilarious the concept is
"Why does Masacoach get the coolest role?" Erika grumbled. "Teachers don't even have to participate in Volunteer Day."
"It is for the sake of the children that have requested the presence of a circus troupe," Liu Wei responded, poking his rubber bodysuit. "I believe, however, that the usage of this attire was not necessary." If one were to look closely, they could see the beginnings of a pout of his stoic visage. "I have muscles of my own..."
"You can't be half naked in public in Japan," Himuro stated.
"You can't be half naked, but you can wear booty shorts in public?" Erika arched an eyebrow.
"If it isn't your real ass," Himuro shrugged.
"Can we just start already?" Murasakibara grumbled. "I look stupid. This is stupid. Our school is stupid."
Masako merely shook her head at the group of complaining teens. "It's only for a day, and you all practiced your acts. You'll be fine."
"I didn't say we weren't fine, I just think it's unfair - ow!"
"Perhaps one day A-Xiang shall be learning the lesson of not responding with snark to our circusmaster."
"So, are we going to pretend that Erika-chan dressing like a seal isn't the weirdest thing about this Volunteer Day?"
Erika glared at Himuro. "Everyone else was gracious enough to ignore the obvious! You suck."
"Well-" Himuro waved his hand around helplessly. "I thought you were practicing riding a unicycle."
The manager looked away, clearly refusing to answer. Murasakibara and Liu Wei exchanged looks, wondering if they should blow the whistle. In the meantime, Masako tapped her shinai against her shoulder, sighing deeply. This was going to be a long day.

thanks sir for explaining it again for the people in the back
Can you pole dance fully clothed?
What he doesn't tell about the silicone coated pole is that you can't do spins or slides & drops on that since it has too much grip and as he says that hurts af (or simply does not work at all except for static stuff).

one of those 'nothing has prompted this except me opening new verses and I'm anxious about people thinking I'm godmodding vs me unnecessarily weakening her to make people happy' posts about Emma's fighting skills:
-princess Emma, fantasy or historical, has been exercising from age 6 to 14, then officially training from 14 to 18, then aggressively training from then on as well as, from age 18 to now (30?) going out to fight in the field, which means not only severe fighting training with both swords and hand-to-hand combat but actual field experiences, which adds the whole 'dirty fighting/knowing tricks/actually knowing what she's doing' to the potential good form that she can ditch as needed. We are talking about 24 years of general training and exercising, of which 16 were of official training, 12 of severe training and field experience.
-modern Emma was always very athletic, playing sports and exercising, but not training to fight until nearly 18 when she took on various arts. From age 20 to now (30?) she went on to properly fight, especially in verses where she goes vigilante, but in general, and therefore has 10+ years of experience plus several of more rigid training. Also, guns, but mostly hand-to-hand. So ten years of training AND field experience.
so if your muse has less experience in the field/isn't properly trained and fighting randomly/is trained but not in hand-to-hand combat/is very strong but not trained or doesn't have actual serious experience, it's unlikely they'll win against Emma. In fact, if your muse is a muscular man who gets in a fight every now and then and that's all, they will immediately lose.
Keeping in mind factors such as luck/body type and what's their training and expertise of course.
I feel like it's realistic, she earned it, she's not just being Special, but I cannot stand when in shows a woman is weaker regardless of experience and training just because the man is muscular. If unsure, ask and we'll plot.

per raw, and this has also just been true in all my campaigns, gnomes are a fairly rare and unusual race outside of their own communities, but Melliwyk grew up in a gnomish neighborhood in a large mixed city and then went to a magic academy where I'd have to imagine there's a higher than average number of gnomes relative to the general population, so I imagine other people around her were more used to seeing gnomes in passing, and better at being normal about them and treating them like regular fellow adults-- which is to say it's probably pretty uncommon for her to get randos going 'haha wow a gnome' and picking her up out of nowhere and she's probably extremely '????? excuse the fuck out of me?????' about it every time
