ahh tyqin! she's my progen and a (the) central figure in my lore, which spans several time periods and multiple flights; she's from ancient times but continues to live on into the 'present' day, largely as a result of fucking with dark magic (most likely the shade, or maybe too much arcane magic, no one knows for sure; it made her all eldritchy and also Purble™) when she was a young cult member. she's power-hungry, manipulative, and has doomed several other dragons to a fate worse than death out of her own greed...generally Very Bad News.

@magnolia-sunrise was talking abt their oc voices and asked me abt mine so i'm gonna ramble abt that under the cut yeehaw

for the most part they have unique voices in my brain, whether or not i a) have voiceclaims for them b) can articulate what those voices sound like c) can actually write them with different voices is another story but i'm giving it my best shot jfjdjjdjf

grimm- i answered this ask awhile ago and said i didn't have a voiceclaim for them and that was not entirely true bc the beginning of this song to the ~30 second mark is closeish to what i image their voice to be like. i found this song abt a month before i created honeybee so it's Embedded in my mind as a honeybee song despite it only partially fitting hdfgklfhd (timestamped where the lyrics begin)

basically low with a slight raspiness? breathiness? grimm definitely speaks with more of a drawl/twang/cowboy accent than this singer tho (its singing voice is NOT like this at all btw). it also might have some sort of almost-lisp or sound like it's talking around smthin in it's mouth bc its got bonus fangs and its jaw likes to act up

bc of said fangs it doesn't move it's mouth much when talking so that results in a sort-of mumble. concise when they talk, but not clipped unless the situation calls for it. they'll hold a conversation just fine but they're defs someone you can have a whole conversation with and only realize after the fact that you still know almost nothing about them. also will deliver jokes with a deadpan

yarrow- their voice has actually changed a bit from my initial perception in that ask bc i'd say their voice is actually more mid-range and not low, just a guy who's been on t for several years. don't have any refs off the tops of my head, but they have a situational/varying accent depending on who they're talking to, having grown up in a metropolitan area but moved to a rural one later on- smthin that ranges from a slight drawl/twang to an "average" western american accent. VERY expressive and prone to rambling and talking too fast- he's not unsure of himself when he speaks, just has a lot of thoughts all the time, so he'll backtrack to other ideas and restate things and trail off adhd-style. good at being social, and lot of his charm comes from being polite/knowing when to be nice. has definitely adopted a philosophy of "it's okay if i'm weird because people are fine with it if you're nice"

serena- originally roberta colindrez' performance in alice isn't dead was The Voiceclaim for her but not quite anymore; i think there's defs a quality to her voice in that performance that aligns with serena's voice, but nowadays i imagine her voice to be a little bit lower and rougher (also timestamped)

she's pretty terse when she talks, but serena's funny bc most of her external standoffishness really is just an awkwardness that comes across as more bitchy that she'd like. but also she is Very sarcastic and has a low tolerance for ppl being dumbasses around her, so how fortunate she is to be in the company of chucklefuck 1 and 2 (pyrithaea and vance) for most of the story.

pyrithaea- there's a line in marigold by mother falcon that i animated a few years back and it's pretty solidly Her Voice. higher-pitched and can get annoying to some people, esp bc she talks a lot and too fast (also adhd style). very expressive and at times dramatic when she talks, doesn't have a full-blown "valley girl" accent but it's there

vance- the music video for still feel by half alive has been very intertwined with vance's whole vibe for like six years, and the lead singer's voice is pretty in-line with how i imagine his voice, except vance's voice might sit in his chest a bit more, if that makes sense? also talks a lot, not as fast as rithaea, but more prone to saying things that don't quite make sense hfgkfdhg. also very expressive and dramatic and gay with hints of that same valley girl accent

leon- actually funny bc the best voiceclaim i have is fucking. gerard way. raspy and kind of nasally and grating

always kind of sounds like their smiling regardless of if you can hear them. also the fucking laugh in this video is their vibe. not their laugh all the time but

skylar and phil don't have as-solid voices yet. skylar's defs smthin androgynous and phil...sounds like a zombie but idk if i want undead and raspy or smthin more light and ghostly yet

Hello! I’ve been working on my own Five nights at Freddie’s inspired universe for a while now.

My (seemingly) main antagonist is down along with 3 animatronics, all with their unique looks! This is all really rough and nothings for sure set in stone. I’m just doing this for fun anyway. All the animatronics are very smart, like security breach.

Pronouns: It/Its - Though Dazzly represents the park , and is the character seen most in ad’s. The animatronic comes late in the story for LORE reasons. It’s wasn’t necessary to have built in intelligence like the others, Due to it being a puppet for Ouro. Who’s Ouro? Keeping that a secret tehe.

General facts: Showwoman!

pronouns: She/her - Cathy is known for her sense of humor and show, where she does things like contests, game shows, and interviews. Along with talking about current events, and informational lessons for kids. She makes learning fun.

Cathy is designed to kill, unlike Dazzly. Regular form on left, Hunting form on right. Slices her victims using her sharp serrated legs, and hands. She moves very quickly, her reaction time being better than the average human.

Donny is the first animatronic I made! (And my personal fav) Donny is known for his ability to preform multiple acts. Including juggling, balancing acts, tight rope walking, and general acts that would take a human years of practice with ease. Donny’s conversational skills were traded for his extreme ability’s and skill. So he knows only the most basic and necessary words to communicate. Despite this he is still very attentive. His arms, legs and neck can stretch very long, and are quite powerful.

Character introduction: Wei Xiurong

after a couple weeks of planning and editing, I have finally fished the character intro for my character Wei Xiurong!

          東方的大母老虎

 (The great tigress of the east)

Name:  Wei Xiurong 

Age:  5000+, (immortal) appears to be in her early thirties 

Sex/Gender: female, she/her 

Sexuality: biromantic + demisexual

Species: half demon (human/demon)

Voiceclaim: Elizabeth Maxwell 

Occupation: guards and protects a temple filled with powerful items/weapons to be made and used by the gods

Education: extensive. Over the thousands of years she has been alive she has gained extensive knowledge and adapted to the times. 

Eye color: reddish brown eyes 

Skin color: warm ivory 

Hair color: black with accents of dark brown when the sun illuminates it. She usually keeps her hair slicked back into a bun, but she will occasionally wear it down and curl it. 

Height: 5’5

Weight: 132lbs

Fitness level: very active. She never skips an early morning jog and always takes an hour or two out of her day to train and workout.

Tattoos: none

Scars/Birthmarks:

a few scars on her back and hands, a long scar that goes across her chest, and a long scar down her cheek that she hides with a bit of glamor. 

Though these are barely visible, if you get close enough, you can see what look to be tiger stripes going down her back and arms.

On the front of her right hand is a marking of a tiger roaring, which symbolizes her inner beast and the bloodline she comes from.

Other distinguishing features: 

her eyes have a bit of an amber tint to them if you look close enough.

Fashion style:

 At first, she wore traditional Tang dynasty clothing, but her style also changed with the times. 

Most of her style in modern times consists of tweed vests, leather jackets, flats, knee high boots, cardigans, tights, turtlenecks, cheongsam, blouses, slightly flared trousers, sundresses, sun hats, loose t-shirts.

The main colors she wears are all shades of red, pinks, golds, oranges and yellows.

Through the centuries a lot of the same motifs remain in her clothing and accessories.  Specifically, tigers (or other big cats like lions and leopards), flowers like yellow lilies & cineraria, and symbols that represent family, kindness and strength.

Accessories:

Gemstone Earrings, in shades of red, gold and orange.

A jade bangle her husband gave to her as a wedding gift. (it is the most important item in the world to her)

A gold pendent given to her by her daughters as a birthday present.

Signature weapon(s): her main weapon is a pair of deer horn knives, and her secondary weapon is Jian, a double-edged sword that had once belonged to her grandmother on her father's side.

  Weaknesses: threatening the safety of her family. If she knows the enemy is more powerful than her or she can’t readily protect her family, that is the easiest way to get her to stand down and surrender.

 Though it is extremely difficult, you can eventually exhaust her. It will take a while, but she will eventually need to rest.

Abilities : 

Immense strength/speed/agility/senses 

Immortality - gained immortality after she ate a few peaches of immortality and drank some heavenly wine as a reward for bringing a rampaging demon back to the gods to be imprisoned. As a result, she became ageless and yielded eternal youth. 

Shapeshifting - the ability to change into any creature she wants.

the only way you can really tell it is her is by looking at the color of the creature's eyes or the very subtle presence of stripes on its body. 

Claws - a set of claws she can retract/unretract at will. They are extremely sharp and have been known to cut through the toughest of metals. 

Spirit-walking - whenever she falls asleep, she can choose to separate her spirit from her body and transform it into the physical form of a large tiger. However, this differs from the inner beast since she can’t do this when she is awake, and this tiger is only slightly bigger than a normal sized tiger.

However, if you get hurt in this form, your body will also sustain the same injuries and vis versa. So, caution is key in this fragile state.

Pyrokinesis - the ability to manipulate fire. 

Clairvoyance - The Ability to Perceive Person, Object, Location, And Physical Events Through Extrasensory Perception.

Line of sight - Xiurong can see, hear, smell and sense things much better than the average person can.

if she closes her eyes, in any form she takes, she can follow the colorful outline/ trail of her target(s) and see/feel things that others normally cannot. 

Energy Blasts - the Ability to Expel Various Forms of Energy from The Body

Chi manipulation - manipulate the flow of latent energy that is present in the physical body.

Energy Conversion - the Ability to Absorb One Form of Energy and Convert It into Another Form of Energy

Roar - the ability to let out a destructive stream or a destructive wave of sonic energy that sounds similar to a tiger roaring and can destroy anything in front of the user unless they turn around. 

         The inner beast - by combining all her energy, she can turn herself into a colossal tiger that can cause catastrophic amounts of destruction.  It does have a secondary form which is stronger and larger than its usual form.

Attaining this secondary form is extremely dangerous and could risk being consumed by their beast completely.

  Birth date: her exact date of birth is unknown. Her children, grandchildren and her children's spouses only know that she was born sometime in early february. So they just pick a random day in february.

Place of birth: a small village hidden in a valley in the mountains

Affiliations:

She is affiliated with both demons and immortals, but prefers to be among demons and humans rather than immortal beings and gods. 

She has a much closer bond with the demons she allied herself with and the humans she protected. She only has a few immortal beings she could or would ever consider to be her friends. 

Plus she personally thinks some of the immortals and gods are a bit snobbish and undeserving of their positions (though she never voiced it out loud)

Skeletons in the closet: 

Kept her youngest daughter, xifeng, birth a secret from her older daughters since there are demons out there who would find out about xifeng and would want to eat her for revenge. 

However, in the sequel little tiger, when xifeng discovered her abilities and sought out her family after mk discovered the staff, the secret was revealed anyway.

In the sequel to great beasts, little tiger, her daughter xifeng discovers that xiurong knew everything about mk being a stone monkey and she had also watched over him in the same form when she would be allowed to leave the celestial realm.

     Xiurong is a surprisingly patient person. It is really hard to piss her off. She can get angry, but it isn’t her true anger showing. 

     you really have to dig deep in order to find what really makes her go into ‘i will eviscerate you and paint my walls with your blood’ mode. 

 aka The kind of anger that's got you fearing for your very soul.

    Basically anything that is a threat to her family, hurting her family, cruelty to the innocent, people who have complete disregard for life in general, being backstabbed after giving somebody a chance to redeem themselves. 

   These are the things that will get you killed.

Pet peeves: 

Once again, she is a very patient person, however she also has limits.

-people who can’t admit their wrong doings 

-men who would constantly speak over women

-People who say "no offense" as if it downplays anything insulting they say

-passive aggressive behavior.

Zheng Liu (husband, deceased) = a human man who had moved into the valley after being casted out by his family.

He was and will always be the love of her life. Her best friend and her partner in crime. A cheerful kind man who had a fondness for nature and was just a tad bit clumsy when it came to things like wielding a sword or archery. 

Xiurong loved him so much. No words could ever describe the love she held for him

Sadly, the day she found out she was pregnant, he was killed in cold blood by another demon. 

His death was absolutely devastating for her.

Even as the years went on, she never seemed to truly get over losing him. She learned to go on living and actually enjoy life and be happy, however there was that bit of sadness she hid deep within her.

Cai Zhaohui (fiancé + reincarnation of Liu, deceased) = 

(btw most of this info comes from the sequel i’m working on called little tiger)

xiurong met zhaohui when she was moving into a new apartment in a megapolis.

 He was funny, awkward, a little bit nervous, nerdy, and was just a genuinely nice guy to be around.

 At first they started off as friends for the first couple years. Just hanging out, inviting each other over to binge watch shows they liked if they felt lonely. Until she slowly started falling for him. 

(fun fact : she did reveal who she was to him and was shocked to find he was completely fine with her being a half demon. To the point he was even a bit excited)

She never thought she would feel that way for anyone else ever since Liu died and was a bit hesitant to try to return his feelings due to the fact that she felt guilty about moving on with someone else.

 However, she eventually realized that she really needed to move on with her life and started going out with him. 

 After three years of being a couple, they were engaged and a few months after that she found out she was pregnant.

(during her pregnancy they both found out he was the reincarnation of her husband. However it didn’t really change their relationship) 

  However, due to certain events, she is imprisoned, and her fiancé is left to raise their daughter by himself. He knew that she was watching over them and always reminded their daughter how much her mother loves her. 

 Lover(s): none 

Parents/Guardians:

Wei Meng (father, deceased) - though he died when she was only two weeks old, she still looks up to him and loves him. 

According to old scrolls he left for xiurong and stories from her mother and other demons that he was a very loving and courageous man who ultimately died so xiurong and her mother could live.

He came from a long bloodline of powerful demons known as the wei family, which were demons who could turn themselves into a colossal beast based on the animal marking they were born with. 

Pan Shuchun (mother, deceased) - Xiurong was extremely close to her mother. A hardworking and kind woman who refused to give up even in the darkest moments. 

Her mother taught her everything she knew and showed her that in order for her to rise, she must fall. She wanted Xiurong to have everything and always let Xiurong know that she was proud of her and loved her.

Her mother took over the position as leader of their village when xiurong was around a few months old and was a strong and capable leader for many years. All the while she tenderly and lovingly cared for xiurong, vowing that she would do anything and everything to give her the best life a child could have. 

Zhu Ning (grandmother, deceased) - Xiurong was close to her grandmother as well, but not as close as she was to her mother. Her grandmother was tough as nails and an excellent leader to their village. 

though she always had trouble properly expressing it, she truly loved her daughter and granddaughter with every fiber of her being. 

Her fondest memories of her grandmother would be all the stories she would tell her before she would go to bed. Stories of gods and demons that would play out in her mind's eye as she drifted off to sleep at the sound of her grandmother's calming voice.

Children:

Triplets =  Wei Chuntao (alive) + Wei Rong (alive) + Wei qiaolian (alive) - she is very close with her three daughters. They are the most precious people in the world to her and she was willing to do anything to make them happy and keep them safe. No words can truly describe how much she loves her kids.

She wanted them to have the freedom to make their own choices and experience all that life has to offer them, even if it meant dealing with the sadness of letting them go. 

 Due to certain events that happen in the sequel, xiurong is unable to visit her daughters and can only watch over them from her celestial prison. When she was allowed to leave her prison, she would visit each of her daughters in the form of a creature.

She would do whatever it took to be there for her daughters.

Wei Xifeng (alive, born in the sequel, little tiger) = once again, her kids are the most precious things in the world to her. So, she loved her youngest from the moment her tiny hand grasped her finger.

Unfortunately, two months after giving birth to her, due to certain events that happen, Xiurong is forced to watch her little one grows up from afar. Only able to leave her celestial prison in the form of a creature for short periods of time to spend time with her.           

  She watches over her continuously. Doing whatever she can do to be there for her daughter. To show her that she loves her and that she is always there watching over her and supporting her.

Grandparents:

Zhu Ning (grandmother, deceased)

Pan gen (grandfather, deceased) = never got to meet her grandfather and she is glad she didn’t. 

According to those who knew him and met him, her grandfather was an extremely selfish and volatile man. He was extremely abusive to her mother and grandmother and was just a terrible leader in general since he refused to help fix any of the problems plaguing the village.

In order to keep them safe and to end his cruelty towards the villagers and their family, her grandmother murdered him. The village turned a blind eye to it and were more than ready to accept Zhu Ning as the new leader. 

Grandchildren:

Oooh boy…. folks this woman has A LOT of grandchildren.

        Xiurong adores her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She knows each one of their likes, dislikes and little quirks by memory and She was actually there to witness most of her grandchildren's births, all except for bai he.

 She was imprisoned way before bai he was born. however, when she was able to leave her prison, she would always pay visits to her granddaughter. 

In-laws 

She is on pretty good terms with each of her children's spouses. Treating them with the same amount of care, concern and kindness that she gives her own daughters. 

They are her family, and she cares about them. 

However, she would not be afraid to snap their necks if they hurt her daughters.

Xiurong generally gets along with everyone, but these people are the only ones she has close friendships with.

Master Guo Xiang - a river demon who trained her father, his mother, and his mother's father etc. She considered him to be a father figure and trained with him for years until she had a firm grasp on her abilities and was now ready to return and take her mother's place as leader. 

Public perception of them:

Perceptions differed among groups. Everyone had their opinions of her, but there was no doubt she made an impact.

Among demons she was both feared and revered. Many demons thought of her as the epitome of success. something they wanted to try and be.

Someone they looked to ally themselves with because of her generosity and her willingness to look out for her allies' best interests. 

However, she was also a target. There were, and still are many that have and want to challenge her. Defeating her would boost their status and their power among demons and no one wants to miss an opportunity to take down the great tigress and her children. 

Among gods and immortals, it was a mix of respect and fear of the devastating destruction she could cause. 

Respect because of her hard work and ability to guard the powerful objects in her care. She did her job well and made it a note to always show proper respect to those in power (even if she internally thought some of them didn’t deserve it)

And fear because of the amount of damage she and her children could cause if she ever used her inner beast again.  

The entire reason the gods and immortals gave her such a comfy position (not with the highest ranks but not close to the lower ranks) was because they had seen what her inner beast was capable of. She could topple them if they set her off.

Most of them were fucking terrified of what she and her children were capable of and were not thrilled at the prospect of angering such a powerful creature. 

So they saw it better to get her on their side than to be in her way

Among humans she was fairly well received.

Sure, there were a few who saw her as a vicious demon, but most saw her as a guardian and another heroic figure. 

She was dedicated to protecting and helping humans. 

Most continue to honor her and tell stories about her acts of goodwill and the battles she had fought to keep people safe. 

In the sequel little tiger, Xifeng actually visits the town that was located inside of her mother's valley and attends a small festival that was made in honor of her mother.

I’m in love with your Blog!!! I got into Comic Books by watching the teen Titans animated series , I recently stated reading “The New Teen Titans” by Marv Wolfman & George Perez. Raven obviously is a very different character in the 1980s comics compared to the 2003 animated series. I was just wondering if you have a head canon on her voice in the comics? Her word/speed bubbles are different to the other characters, what do you think her voice would sound like?

This one’s a bit old, apologies for missing it until now. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the blog! And I hope you’re enjoying NTT too, because it IS very different, but also very good in its own, different ways!

Oh my gosh, I have thought about Raven’s voice in the comics extensively. (I don’t have a voiceclaim actor for her because I’ve never heard anyone that I think sounds Right for her, though.)

I imagine her voice is normally, well, as it’s narrated: “cold as an Arctic wind.” Distant, unemotional, sounding steady and unmoved. I imagine it’s a little bit deep, like an alto’s voice. She probably speaks slowly, at least at first, because she’s not used to speaking to people much when she first gets out of Azarath.

It’s very even-keel, kind of like her voice in the cartoon tone-wise, but in a less scathing/critical way and instead it’s a softer, more gentle way. Especially when she’s healing someone and reassuring them that she’ll save them, the kind of calm that a nurse with good bedside manner has. The kind of deep, steady calm that would be infectious even without her ability to take your fear away. I imagine she doesn’t sound super sappy and cooing, but her voice softens around the edges, gets a little bit quieter and just the SLIGHTEST bit softer and affected.

But I also headcanon that when she screams, like when she wakes up from the nightmare at the start of her origin issue, it’s LOUD and full and with her whole chest. It probably rasps, because her throat isn’t being used to make such loud sounds.

I imagine when she’s speaking with panic, she does sound moved, but only half of what you’d expect-- it’s still more even and controlled than it would be for someone who Doesn’t Have to Control Their Emotions. Almost would sound more like she’s being impatient than being scared, because she can’t LET herself get too scared.

And when she’s flustered, I imagine THAT’S when her voice changes the most! Especially when someone’s being kind to her and she doesn’t know how to react. Because she’s so incredibly shy and contained and restrained in the comics, she wouldn’t know how to react to it. It always comes across to me like she’d start speaking quickly, her voice losing its steady cadence and getting rockier, more jagged, as she gets nervous and uncomfortable and hurriedly makes her exit.

And when she’s crying? I break my own heart every time I read that sequence shortly before Terror of Trigon, where Joey comes to check on her, and at first she’s like “GO AWAY”-- I imagine at that moment her voice is sharp and flinty and louder than normal in her fear/desperation-- but then she realizes It’s Him, and you can see her dialogue change with her posture. I imagine then her voice gets a lot quieter, and even though she’s crying a few panels later, curled up against the door, I imagine she doesn’t sound as agonized as she is. She’s vulnerable and afraid, she even sounds resigned, but her voice is still calmer than it should be, calmer than Joey knows she’s feeling, because she’s still, you know... Raven.

(Wow, hey, that got Long, but 80′s Raven is probably my favorite version of her. And like I said... I’ve thought about it A Lot.)

Fun facts about DFTH’s early development!

Aka: I found some of my old DFTH notes from when I started it in 2019 and wanted to share some of my findings

Looking at them gave me secondhand psychic damage because. Fuck. In some areas god 18 year old Mew didn’t know what she was doing

Also I figured some people might be curious about DFTH’s development? Maybe? No?...Okay then

Anyway time for a magical mystery ride into DFTH’s past! (this contains spoilers obviously but none for the future obvs)

Talents

I don’t really remember much of here but for a while people had different talents. The ones I remember the most clearly is that Kaoru was originally the Ultimate Geologist, Yuuma was originally the Ultimate Gemologist and Haruto was either the Ultimate TV Personality or Show Host. The reason I changed them was because there was too much overlap between geologist and gemologist (though ngl Yuuma’s current talent lines up a lot with her previous one). Idk why I changed Haruto’s, but I guess disaster theatre kid Mew jumped at the chance to have a theatre kid character.

Character designs

Not a lot really changed character design wise at all. But the reason I put this here was because of a fun fact: I actually came up with most of the character designs for DFTH from using CharaT! Baby Mew was not good at character design (you can see from looking at my old RWBY OCs, oh god oh fuck) so CharaT was a good springboard. (but on the other hand if the character designs for DFTH make no sense that’s why lmao) The only characters that I didn’t use CharaT for were Amai because she already existed kinda (I made a sprite for her randomly to experiment) and Rantaro for obvious reasons.

Voiceclaims

...Idk why I’m putting this here, I just remembered some old voiceclaims I had for some of the cast and thought they’d be neat to put here

Kaoru - Zach Callison (actually Itsuru’s current voiceclaim now!) Saiko - Jonathan Young (yes, he was always planned to have a deep voice) and before anyone asks why because of this Ayano - Carrie Manolakos (solely because of the Death Note musical) Haruto - for a while it alternated between Anthony Ramos and Todrick Hall, and I’m pretty sure at one point really early on it was Nathan Sharp/NateWantstoBattle (who is now a potential voiceclaim for Hide)

And fun fact, I didn’t actually decide Kokoro’s voiceclaim until I made that video for my DFTH voiceclaims. And ngl I’m still kinda rocky about it. As for why? Because...I actually imagine Kokoro’s voice being my own voice. (it’s actually the same for Hotaru too!) Which is really weird for y’all to imagine since you don’t know what I sound like. Maybe at one point I could record myself reading some Kokoro (and maybe Hotaru) lines to show what I mean? No promises though.

The executions

The only people I can really talk about here are Saiko and Miko.

Rikona’s was the first execution I ever came up with for DFTH. Seriously, the moment I had her talent down (and before I had her down as a killer mind you) my brain just went “the Wizard Chess scene but if Ron actually fucking died”. BOOM EXECUTION DONE NEXT PLEASE As for Ayano, I also had her’s mostly down. My past notes for her execution essentially amounted to “uh impossible math problem blah blah blah wrecking ball-ed by a big fuckoff Newton’s Cradle”. So her’s was pretty easy.

Saiko’s was a fucking ordeal to come up with. (...Jesus christ I didn’t even realise I made that joke) Seriously for a long time I was banging my head against the wall going “how the fuck do I execute a fucking h i s t o r i a n” The only alt executions I remember having are him being sent through different historical torture methods before eventually being decapitated at a guillotine, and at some point I just decided “fuck it, throw him in the bottom half of an hourglass”

Miko’s on the other hand. ...Uh. His was so fucking hard to come up with. I remember at one point a previous one was similar to the leadup to the current one, but he was pitted against an army of Monokumas and, despite actually being able to make a bunch of solid weapons, all of them broke and he was outnumbered easily. The main thing I did want for his execution still stayed though, which was him dying from being impaled multiple times over. So that’s a plus I guess.

The cases

The death order hasn’t really changed much, mainly because I built the characters from the ground up based on the death order. Though I do remember a point where Ahmya was the chapter 4 killer instead of Miko, but that changed into what we have now. (and ngl her unused execution was actually pretty damn sick, but I’ll probably get into those at a later point) The only other non-future-spoiler chapter I remember changing was chapter 3. Originally the motive was something along the lines of “Monokuma infected everyone with a disease that causes them to fall unconscious at certain points and a cure will be put through the air supply when someone dies”. Yeah. You can tell past Mew had no clue what she was doing, huh? Literally the only reason why that was the motive was so I could bullshit Ayano an alibi. Like literally Rantaro and Kokoro would go in and see Amai missing and Ayano unconscious on the floor and be like “oh. Huh. Must be Monokuma’s thing” when she was. Just. Pretending to be asleep I guess And also because of that Ayano actually killed Ahmya on purpose here. Kinda. She still wasn’t part of her plan, but she actually did make the effort to kill her. This was still in the stage where Ayano was gonna pull a Celeste and fucking snap during the trial, so that was disposed of along with that whole thing.

But the other case that changed the most here was...

Chapter 4

This’ll probably be the longest one. ...And it will mostly consist of me yelling at my past self for my bad writing choices sdsdsds

But holy fuck the chapter 4 case changed a lot. The only things that stayed the same were:

Haruto was the victim and Miko was the killer

Jasper would trick Miko into killing Haruto somehow

Miko wouldn’t actually be able to see the death happen

The cause of death was electrocution

I wanted the cause of death to be electrocution because that’s a cause of death that’s rarely ever used in Fangans. Like, the only times I’ve seen it used are in DRA and Dreadnought Despair (check out Dreadnought Despair by the way it’s fucking dope) so past Mew wanted to be unique.

The way past Mew wanted to pull it off though. ...Uh. It made no fucking sense.

So instead of the labs and the extra room being the only stuff on the fourth floor, there was originally gonna be a swimming pool. (why the fuck would anyone put a pool at the top of a building? WHO FUCKING KNOWS I WAS A DUMBASS) And in that swimming pool room there was like...A lifeguard’s office? Is there a word for it? You know how some indoor pools have like a room looking over the pool where the lifeguard would be? That. And the pool had a localised sprinkler system (for some reason) that could be turned on and off from that office.

So to basically tl:dr Miko’s plan here. He arranged to meet Jasper at the pool, and set up his trap by dropping one end of a live wire (connected to a light? In the ceiling???? Do you see why I hate my past writing choices now) into the pool and heading to the lifeguard’s office where the sprinkler switch was, and drew the blinds on the window because he didn’t want to see his victim die. Essentially his plan was to hit the sprinkler switch when he heard the door open, and that would in turn electrocute whoever came in...SOMEHOW??????

Okay I actually have to give my past self this. Having Miko rely solely on audio cues for the murder and have the main clue towards him being the killer being the fact that the killer shut the blinds on the window was pretty smart.

EVERYTHING ELSE WAS FUCKING DUMB JESUS CHRIST WHAT WAS I THINKING GOD FUCKING DAMMIT PAST ME WHY DID I THINK THAT ANY OF THIS BULLSHIT MADE FUCKING SENSE

...Okay rant over. For now.

Misc. stuff

Okay this bit is for stuff that didn’t really fit in the above categories so I put ‘em here

I think at one point the academy was just gonna be the Gifted Inmates Academy again? Or maybe Hope’s Pass? (listed as Rantaro’s previous highschool in V3 because haha Hope’s Peak Academy joke) And I guess past Mew was like “nah I can’t take the name from V3 that’s not creative enough. Hmm...Ooh starlight is a fun word” and just went with that despite how dumb Starlight Academy sounds on reflection lol

Originally, the way Miko’s parents died was gonna be completely different. For a long time it was gonna be that the village they lived in was destroyed in a natural disaster (I think it was a volcano?) and they died, with Yusuke having to take him in as a result. I eventually decided that having his parents actually be murdered instead would explain Miko’s pacifism and aversion to conflict even better than what I originally had.

For a long time, Slade and the execs didn’t even exist. Honestly it’s weird to think of that. At some point I just figured “hey Tsumugi’s writing decisions could cause some friction within TDR, so why not show that?” and thus the bastard business man was born.

Kenshiro didn’t actually exist for a while either. Those flashback scenes with him in chapter 3 and onward originally weren’t meant to happen, and Rantaro’s relationship with him was originally gonna be more of an implication. But then I remembered that “show, don’t tell” exists and figured it’d be a good way to go into Rantaro as a character.

And while we’re on the topic of things not existing, Haruchiko didn’t actually exist for a while either. Literally I just thought “haha they could actually be cute together but that’d never happen...Oh shit”

There was originally gonna be a scene where Kokoro’s whole side-gig as an idol would actually be important and she’d perform a song for the cast to raise their spirits. (aka: past Mew had recently discovered SDRA2 chapter 2)

There was originally gonna be a formal party/ball scene in chapter 4 before Jasper did his heel turn, with formal outfits and everything. Rankari would have a thing there, Haruchiko would have a major thing there, and there would even be a slight hint at Shionnade. (aka: past Mew had recently discovered DRA chapter 4)

Rankari was actually going to happen. No joke, it actually was. But then I thought it’d be more fun to deconstruct the ‘best girl/sidekick/love interest’ trope entirely so now we have what we have now, and honestly I prefer what we have now to having Rankari actually happen.

I don’t think past Mew even had an explanation for Jasper’s skin colour. Like, I saw it was an option on CharaT and the explanation was literally just “purple looks cool so deal with it I guess”. ...I’m glad I came up with an actual explanation for it. Yes it’s kinda nonsensical but it’s better than “purple looks cool so deal with it I guess” sdsdsdsh

And that’s most of what I remember. Why did I do this?...I don’t know, but going into DFTH’s past was fun. And cringeworthy. Very cringeworthy. God fuck just reading my past chapter 4 notes made me want to bleach my eyes

the main thing u need to know about ivy is that she is lying ! always !! her real name isn’t even actually ivy smh

she was born NATALIE ROSE SERRANO, to two working class parents in new york city. she knew from a young age that she was just supposed to be rich and famous, and that something had gotten mixed up somewhere and she was put in the wrong life.

in high school she got a scholarship to a fancy private catholic school, and that’s where she started to hone her craft of manipulating rich people. she would befriend all of the richest bitches at school and take advantage of everything that came along with it: vacations to far away places, stays in the family’s cabins and lake houses, even designer clothes that her friends no longer wanted and would gift to her, thinking it was their idea all along

as she grew up and got better at getting what she wanted out of people, her entitled attitude only got worse, driving a wedge between her and her parents, who kept waiting for her to develop a work ethic and kept being disappointed. a few months after she graduated high school, on her 18th birthday, her parents kicked her out of the house and cut her off, hoping that it would force her to grow up and take on any responsibility

but that plan backfired for them, her parents underestimating how truly stubborn natalie was. the day after her 18th, she wandered into a local strip club and got a job, figuring it’d be the easiest and quickest way to get some cash, and she took to it naturally and actually really enjoyed stripping

she started to embody an entirely new persona that she had created for herself, dancing under the name POISON IVY and telling everyone she was a trust fund baby that had been cut off from her rich parents, needing to dance to supplement her income, and her lies just continued to spiral out of control until she almost started to believe it herself. she had never told anyone at the club her real name, not even the other strippers, just going by “ivy” for a while.

she had learned to weaponize the power she had over people by being pretty and charming, using her looks for absolute evil and doing whatever it took to get money—from straight up pickpocketing, to making men buy her expensive gifts, to blackmailing, to sugar babying, to getting patrons wasted and manipulating them into tipping her absurd amounts… she did it all, very quickly earning enough to live the life she had always dreamed of, that she felt she deserved for whatever twisted reason.

she started posting on instagram with the name poison ivy generally just flaunting her carefree, extravagant life, often exaggerating or down right lying just to really dazzle her quickly growing audience

as she started to go down the influencer route, she realized she needed to do something to hide the skeletons in her closet ( the fact that she didn’t actually come from money and was making far more than was normal for even the best of dancers, a couple of small possession / shoplifting charges, and just generally anything that could lead people to her real identity ) so she started to tell people her name was ives, fully taking on the new identity. she even went so far as to make some of the people that had been closest to her sign NDAs about her real identity, making sure that no one could sell info about her should her plan of being famous work out

she also moved out to california to run away from everyone in the city that was starting to catch on to what she was doing, basically doing all the same shit but now in a New Place.. this was about 3-4 years ago, so she’s been in sunhollow for a while now doing the whole influencer thing !!

and it did work out !! at first she was definitely buying followers/likes to boost her likelihood of brand sponsorships, but eventually she faked it until she made it and actually attained influencer status. she then used her newfound internet fame ( and some classic blackmailing ) to get herself a record deal 

she also started sleeping around with pretty much any famous person she could, having very public relationships and breakups and scandals to keep her name in the press, which ultimately lead to more exposure/people following her, if only to see what she did next, which lead to even more sponsorships

eventually she stopped dancing and just focused on her influencing and more recently ( like... less than 6 months ago recently ) her music career. but she never stopped sugar babying and scamming rich stupid men, still very much using that as a means to keep up her lifestyle. she’s also done a few modeling things, but it’s mostly just like catalog work or being the face of a trendy campaign bc she’s way too short for the runway

she also recently made an only fans account bc she was bored one night and was mostly planning on posting once as a joke but then she made a bunch of money / got a bunch of subscribers and was like oh word ? i can do that ! so she will post on there from time to time but she’s not like… super serious about it ya know ? also her music label is big mad at her for it bc they’re like bUt yOuR rEpUtAtIoN and she’s like yeah.. but my bank account ? also it’s no secret she used to be a stripper so she rly just.. doesn’t give a fuck !

Samantha was born in Ireland as the dauther of the pureblood witch Claire O´Connell and the Vampire Wizard Matthew O´Connell. Grow up with a many love, Samantha doesn´t know any evil and starts to be a daydreaming girl. As a half-Vampire she didn´t drink blood, but still have some (weak) Vampire-Power, like inhuman ears and a fast Wound healing.

Even her father was a Vampire who visted Hogwarts, he runs a muggle hospital and never understand why the wizard world don´t use muggel technogoly like a Fringe or Telephone. One Night, her father got a emergency call from his hospital. In that night Deatheaters break into the O´Connells house with the goal to kill the hole family. Claire O´Connell was a shame for the Wizard World because she married a monster and her daugther wasn´t allowed to existed. 

Clarie hides her daughter in a secret Base behind a Closet and say “What ever you heared, don´t come out. Stay hide. I love you” This was the last time Samantha saw her mother alive. Before Claire could leave the room, she was surrounded by Deatheaters. They tortured her, trying to find out where she hide the “little monster”. The only thing Claire scream was: “STAY HIDE! DON´T COME OUT!” What nobody knows was, that Samantha saw everything. She saw how her mother was tortured, she saw all the blood and she saw her mother was finally killed. 

Before the Deatheaters could find Samantha, the Auror showed up and defeted the enemy. 

The funeral and the life with the Roberts:

After that night nothing was the same again. Samanthas father becomes cold and distant. On the funeral a old friend of Claire showed up - Angela Roberts and her son Jacob Roberts. Jacob was a few year older than Samantha and take care of her the hole funeral. Angela and Matthew talked to each other that maybe it would be the best if Samantha would stay a few days with the Roberts. So Samantha goes with them, without knowing this was the last time she saw her father for a very long time.

One week later Angela Robert filed a lawsuit in the ministery. She wants the custodyfor Samantha because Matthew is a dangouers Vampire and against the magic world. She wins, but never tells Samantha, that it was her idea. Angela tells her new adopted daughter it was her fahters idea because he can´t look in her face anymore (because she looks like her mother).

The next hell in Samanthas life showed up, because her adopted mother was obsessed with the idea to turn Samantha in a Claire 2.0(the way Angela saw her mother). Samantha was crowded to dress, to act and to talk like “ a true lady”, a princess, a tender flower. She hated it. Only Jacob helped her and stopped his mother sometimes. He starts calling her “Pip” because he reads Lord of the rings (Samantha gave him the book”, and Samantha calls him gib brother or Jacke. It was the worst time of her life, when Jacob was in Hogwarts and Samantha couldn´t wait to become a hogwarts student too. But then Jacob vanisted and Samantha has to faced her adopted mothers paranoia alone (which become worsted, because of Jacobs Vanish). The psychological terror becomes physically (Details unkown). But finally her Hogwarts letter arrived one day and Samantha saw her first chance to be free or even to find out what happend to her brother....

Hogwarts

Hogwarts Year 1-3:

Ok, if I would tell you everthink in Detail, it would take hours. So here is a shorter vision:

In her first few years, Samantha was very shy and don´t know how to act or interact with people at her age. She starts her adventure  with the cursed vaults, found Hints about what happend to Jacob and was even able to find some friends! But on every Holiday, she had to went back to her adopted mothers house (or hell, there was no big different). 

In the end of the 3rd Year, Bill Weasley and a other Sutdent beomce suspicious and call Samanthas Dad. Matthew showed up at Hogwarts. After a awful Situation, the Turth came out and Samanthas father Matthew was able to get the custody back. Samantha talks never again with Angela and it´s unknown what happend to her (just the Fact, that Samanthas Aunt Hel, trys to kill her, but she was stopped by Matthew).

Since that Day Samantha lived with her family again. And after a few Starting difficulties, she and her fahter had a really good realtionship! The 3rd Year is also the Year where it came out, that Samantha is a half-Vampire (before that, she covered her ears with a spell)

Hogwarts Year 4-7:

At the beginning of the 4th year, everyone could see how much Samantha changed. She become more open, more self confident and simple - more happy. This also the Year where she become friend with the most other MC´s :D and of cause - Charlie Weasley. in which she also fell in love. It wasn´t love at the first sight, but Samantha realise her feelings after Charlie tells her, she is not a princess or a  a tender flower, she is more like a Dragon. Ready to fight with much Power. In the Winter (Yule Ball) they become a couple, but they keep it a secret.

And she became the Seeker for the Ravenclaw Qudditch Team and a Perfect. 

Also the Adventure continued and Samatha and her friends finally found Jacob Roberts in the portrait vaults.  Rakepick betrayed the Friends and Jacob chased her without answering Samanthas questions. Samantha felt deceived.

At there next meeting, Samantha will punshed Jacob and for the first time in her life she tells someone how she felt without thinking.

After defeating “R” and the curse of the vaults, Samantha and her friends have one last enemey - the future. Samantha had simple no idea what she want to do after school. After talking with Tonks and Mad-Eye she decided to start training as an Auror. She knows Charlie wants to become a  Drakologe in Rumania. Also Samantha loves Dragons too, she also know that this wasn´t the right job for her. But maybe she would find a different Job in Rumania, after her Auror Training. Unfortunately both didn´t talk to each other fast enough. So Samantha thought Charlie didn´t want her in Rumania and Charlie thought Samantha dind´t want to come with him. They break up, but promised to be still best friends (haha! the Dorks didn´t talk to each other for 4 years now because of there broken hearts).

After Hogwarts:

Samantha starte her Training as an Auror with Tonks and finished it with Bravura. She was finally able to control her Vampire side and using her Vampire skills. Maybe that´s the reason why THEY talk to her at her Graduation ceremony... After that conversation Samantha had no other choice but join.....

Rowan Khanna: Rowan was Samanthas first Friend. Like in the HPHM Game, they met at Diagon Alley. After her Dead, Samantha lose the first time her control about her Vampire side. After that Samantha and the others establish the circle of Khanna.

Ben Copper: In the first Years, Samantha and Ben were really closed firend. But after Bens Change, they lived apart. In the end there were just acquaintance.

Penny Haywood: Penny made it her personal mission to improve Samanthas self-confidence. It was Pennys Idea, that a Ponytail would suit Samantha well. There were good friends.

Bill Weasley: Bill become a borhter like friend. He is the only one how calls Samantha “Sammy” without making her angry.. They become really closed and Bill was one of the first SammyxChalire Shippers (one of the reasons why he always invited Samantha for Christmas)

Nymphadora Tonks: PRANK BUDDIES! Tonks and Tulip used Samanthas knowledge about physics for pranks. But Samantha has one rules “don´t make me catch you guys as a perfect! AND NO EVIDENCE!”

Tulip Karasu: Also a PRANK BUDDY! Tulip and Carewyn were the people how find out, that Samantha loves to sing. 

Barnaby Lee: I´m not sure, but i would say Barnaby had a little crush on Samantha once. There were on there first Date and he support her a lot. However, sometimes Charlie get a little jealous, when Samantha spend to much time with Barnaby.

Talbott Winger: Talbott is one of the people, how helped Samantha to become a Animagus. He try, but he can´t escape Samanthas Friendship. Especially both lost the mother and know how each other feels about that. He is the first one how know Samantha is a Half-Vampire.

Andre Egwu: Andre and Samantha are good friends. He always give her fashion especially (since Samantha has absolutly NO Fashion taste).

Charlie Weasley: What could I say? they love each other a lot and are also best friends. Charlie always think it´s absurd to call Samantha a Princess or weak. She is so powerful and had such a great fire inside. She is like a welish Green, but irish. On the other side, Samantha is maybe one of the few how never make jokes about his Dragon passion. Charlie is the only one how call her Sam, without making her angry. 

Jae Kim : Jae teach Samantha cooking basics. And he discovered her passion for Nougat chocolate. So Jae alway ofer Samantha chocolate, when he needs her notes or someone for Private tutoring

Badeea Ali : Badeea trys to teach samantha how to draw, but Sammy has simple no talent.They like each other, but you can´t say there are closed friends.

Liz Tuttle :To be honest - Samantha don´t know what she should think about Liz. Samantha admit Liz passion for magical creatures and they can work together, but there aren´t really friends.

Diego Caplan : We all know Diego is a womenizer and he always flirts with Samantha (but she don´t understand the allusions). And after her identity as a half-vampire was realsed, Diego always wants a Duell, but he never win. :P

Fred + George Weasley : The twins became like little brothers for Samantha. There were never able to prank her. Samantha was the one how bring the idea of a own Joke article store to there mind. Samantha teached the twins the physics basics. As a Perfect she had a lot of work with this two!  

Cedric Diggory : Cedric admired Samantha form the very beginning and want to be one of her friend. I am not sure, but maybe he had a little crush on her or try to impress her.

Merula Synde : Rival-Friends just in the typical way you can imagen. They both drag each other to her limit. They would never admit it, but they respect each other.

Ismelda Murk : Ismelda is maybe the only student on Hogwarts which Samantha simple don´t like. Ismeldas talking about the Dark art and how cool the dark lord actually is, makes Samantha angry. They both had one than more duell.

Beatrice Haywood : While Beas edgy emo phase, Samantha understand how she feels and Bea knows that. When her relationship with Penny was the worsed, Bea said she wished Samantha would be her sister. But Samantha know, this was just to hurt Penny, so she never takes this serious. 

Percy Weasley : Like Cedric, Pery admired Samantha. Especially as a Perfect. It take a long time since he realise how much Trouble Samantha makes XD

Chiara Lobosca : Chiara is a high morally support for Samantha. They both has some kind of “We are monster”-Friendships.

Cherster Davies: The Ravenclaw Perfect has a hard time with the little Girl. He saw her potentional but cry for every point Ravenclaw lose because of Sam. (dosen´t matter how many points she earn before).

Sykpe Parkins: Samantha and Skype are Quidditch Partner, but not really friends. They had a excellent Teamplay. But they didn´t talk much outside the field.

Orion Amani: Samantha thinks Orion is funny. She likes his chilly style and he is a good listener. He is the first one how thinks Samantha would be a good seeker because of her inhuam ears.

Murphy McNelly: Murphy and Samantha are Puns buddys. They simple CAN´T have a normal conversation.

Harry Potter : Of cause Samantha knows the story about the boy how lived. But she doesn´t had a lot to do with him. He is a friend of Ron and later Ginnys Man and Samantha likes that. She also likes his cheeky styl.

Ron and Ginny Weasley : Both are like siblies for her. Sometimes Ginny calls Samantha her big sis, which makes her really proud. Ron thinks that Samantha is really cool and can do everythink.

Mr. and Mrs. Weasley: Both like Samantha a lot. She is always welcome. Athrus always aks her about muggle stuff and her fathers hospital. Mrs. Weasley had a time where she thought Samantha and Bill would be a great couple, but she is also very happy after Samantha and Charlies ends together.

Fleur Delacour : First Fleur thought Samantha would be also against her wedding with Bill. Fleur even thought Samantha could be in Love with Bill. But she relaise very fast Charlies and Samanthas feeling for each other. Before the wedding Fleur and Samantha becomes good friends. (also because Samantha was never agains this relationship and always think Fleur is a badass, which she likes.)

So, this is important again XD. Long Time ago, I ask how wants to be Samanthas friend and sometimes they already interact with each others. So here is the list.

Glennis Augustine - belongs to @etoilesbonbon : A creative Gryffindor. Samantha meet Glennis in flying class and tries to help her. Later they become friends. They meet often in the Courtyard. Glennis is drawing and Samantha plays Guitar (Glennis could wish the songs for the right mood for her Drawing.

Dusty Emerald - belongs to @dusty-emerald-hphm : Dusty is a Slytherin Perfect. Samantha just randomly said she really likes Dustys styl and however they start talking and become friends. They both like swimming, so if the weather allowed it, they do swim races in the black sea and giggle after that. No matter how wins.

Aishwarya Mehra and Arjun Singh - belongs to @hogwarts9 : Samantha know there are Royals at Hogwarts which belongs to Gryffindor, but she didn´t know who and to be honest, she didn´t care about Royals and stuff. One day she sit for breakfast on the Gryffindor Table ( the clique dind´t really care about the house separation) Arjun and Aishwarya sit beside her and for one reason Samantha starts talking gaelic with a lot of gesture. And because Samantha is a clumpsy Idiot, she hits Arjuns Glass and poured the hole pumpkin juice over his clothes. She just realized later, that this two are the Royals. After that she waits the half day in front of the Gryffindore Common Room to apologize to both. So the three become friends and train together there magic (Duells and stuff).

Niky Dona belongs to @nikyiscreepy: Niky, a hufflepuff. was near by losing control about her “Lilith” again and runs in the forbidden forest. Before she losing control completely, she heared a strange sound. “I-It that a guitar? In the Forest?” She follwoed the sound and she founds - Samantha! Sitting on the ground, humming and playing gutiar. They start talking and Samanthas music calms Niky down. This is the start of there friendship. To calm her down, Samantha would sing everywhere and at any time.

Kyril Vasiley - belongs @kyril-hphm : A Tsunlytherin young and shy Slytherin. First Kyril was just a quit Boy, how was near by Jae. One Day Samantha had a Duell with Ismelda again, and even Ismelda try to cheat Samantha wins. She thought no one saw her, but acutally Kyril was in a corner wachting. He takes all his courage and talk to Samantha. She realise that he is “just” a Tsundere and very shy, but she likes him and both become friends. Even Samantha puts him sometimes in uncomfortable situation, they trust each other and both know that the other one accept them the way they are.

Night Rhea - belongs to @nightrhea-hphm: Night is a joyful slytherin and a beater in the Qudditch team. So she and Samanther met the first time on the matchfield. First Samantha was a Chaser. After Samantha got some of Nights Hits and was still on her broomstick, Night was impressed and talk to Samantha after the match. One Day Night found out, that Samantha can play Violin too. She coudn´t understand why Samantha don´t want to play anymore And Samantha tells her the Story about her mother. Night persuaded Samantha to play a song for her and Samantha acutally plays an old irish song. So, when Night feels lonely Samantha plays on her violin.

Finn McGarry - belongs to @theguythatdraws: A Gryffindor with a scar over this face (and more). He maybe looks scary in the first place, but acually he is very kind. The first time he and Samantha interact with each other was because he heared Samantha swears in gaelic. And since he is also irish and speak gaelic, he talk to her. Both like weapons and fight without wands, so both sneak into the forbidden forest for training. And actually Samanthas Uncle Andrew likes Finn a lot, so when he is in Town he takes both to the three boomstick. Most visitis ends (to be honours EVERY Vistis) with a drunken Finn and a drunken Samantha talking gaelic and no one knows what they say.

Helene Adler - belongs to @heleneplays: A Badass Ravenclaw. One Day Helene catched Finn and Samantha while training in the forbidden forrest.... and she join it. Before that Helene and Samantha were mistaken sometimes because both are blond Ravenclaws (and Helene sometimes wear a ponytail). After they become friend, both make jokes about that or even confuse new students, how didn´t know them. And Helen really admired Samanthas Aunt Hel O´Connell.

Luna Silvermore - belongs to @lunasilvermorny: A tall Ravaneclaw Girl, how is a beater of the Qudditch Team. Of Cause Samantha saw Luna before in a few classes or on the Ravenclaw Table in the great hall, but Samantha was to shy to talk to her (even Samantha loves her Hair color!). And then both start playing Qudditch and one day Luna said she will protect Samantha on the match field no matter what. Don´t ask why, but this flip the switch in Samanthas Head and she starts talking like a waterfall (where she also said how much she loves Lunas changing hair color). After a few seconds of awful silence (where Sam thought about simple running away) Luna burst out laughing and they start talking normal. Samantha and some other girls found out about Lunas crush for Rath and the Hogwarts Wingwomen Club was born. Also both like to drink with each other. And when they are drunken, they had stupid ideas. Really stupid...It´s a wonder Hogsmead isn´t bruning down XD. And both like watching muggle TV with Alice.

Roger Lopez - belongs to @hphm-roger​: A kind Slyhterin. He likes macigal creator and sometimes he goes for a walk into the forbidden Forest. That where he met Samantha for the first time. Stucked....in a Tree. She had a bet with Finn and Luna how can climb the hightest tree. Samantha won, but was unable to climb down. Luna and Finn where supposed to get help but didn´t return atm. Roger start laughing and said Samantha reminds him of a cat. And this associationstay for the rest of there friendship. And of cause Samantha loves his different Hair colors and always want to touch it, if it change.

Elaiza Schuyler - belongs to @annabelle-tanaka-official​: Elaiza is a Ravenclaw girl and one of Samanthas first friend, since there share a room. Samatha is fascinated how many languages Elaiza speaks and even teach her some gaelic sentences. Since Elaiza is bad at flying class and Samantha at Herobolgy,both help each other with this subjects. Both like cooking, so sometimes they sneak into the kitchen and cook or bake something. 

Williamina Schneider  - belongs to @leamontee​ : A cute and cheerful Gryffindor Girl with a hard backstory. Willie was there when Samantha yelled at her father in the end of the 3rd year. It reminds her of her own story. After the summer holidays she and Samatha were in the same compartment in the Hogwarts express and they start talking. Willie thinks Samantha is brave and both wants to break the vaults curse, so they work a lot together.

Lillian Baker - belongs to @thehogwartscursebakers (don´t know why, but i can´t tag her :( ): Lillian is one of the Ravenclaw Qudditch chaser. She met Samantha in her 2nd year, when both become part of the Quidditch team. And both met each other in the duell club, where there start to talk to each other. Both had no fashion sense, but both love shopping with Carewyn.

Ryan, Cara, Sara and Conor O´Donnell belongs to @unfortunate-arrow​: Samantha and the O´Donnells don´t have an easy start. Samantha was mistakes as a O´Donnell and there a lot of people who were thinking the O´Donnells were half-vampires. So when they finally meet each other there were like “ STOP STEALING MY NAME!” Maybe they even had duells. But in the end they all realise, that this fight is stupid, and they all become friends. But they will still mistaken.

Alice Beaumont belongs to @mizutoyama​: Alice is a very closed friend and one of Samathas Roommate. Alice is one of the few person on this earth woh can wake Samantha up, whitout realse her morning beats. So Alice is the reason why Samantha is able to stand up in the morning and brush her hair. After Samantha returns to her father, Alice visit her sometimes in the holidays and they watch muggle TV with Luna. 

Wendy Gordon - belongs to @drinkyoursoupbitch​ : Wendy is one of the few people at Hogwarts how understand gaelic, since this Ravenclaw girl is scottish. Most of the Time Samantha speaks without irish dialect unless she talks to Wendy. There both are in the same arithmancy class, so both study a lot together or talk about Quidditch.

Tu Liang - belongs to @wangxianforever000​ : Tu is a Gryffindor Girl and definitely a chaotic Dou with Samantha. There are in the same Rune class, plays Qudditch and both are bad at posion. Tu meets Samantha in the great hall and thinking form the very beginning, Samantha is funny. Somehow (don´t ask why, no one knows), every time they want to rock, things will end up chaotic, Both are very protective, so they keep an eye on each other. Sometimes Samantha sit on Tus head as a Crow.

Flavio Ceccere - belongs @sirfluffig​: After Chester Davies left school if was on Flavio to take care about the ravenclaw house honour and keep an eys on Samantha.He is Samanthas best study buddy and they meet every week in the libary. Since Flavio loves coffee, Samantha want to try it too. But non of them know, that coffee works a lot on Vampires. So Samantha was the rest of the day like a Duracell Bunny. (Poor Flavio^^;). Samantha helps Flavio to relax time by time since he is always serious.

Carewyn Cormwell - belongs to @carewyncromwell​ : A Slytherin Perfect and definitely Samanthas mama-bear-friend. Both become friends after they realise how much they both love music and singing. Carewyn and Bill were the first one how had the theory, that Samantha and Charlie are more then friends. She and Tonks developed some kind of special sense which called Samantha “The Mama-Bear-Antenna”. Carewyn were always a morally support for Samantha, which saw Samantha cries.

Big infodump under the read more, if you like my OCs and/or agree with my flawless music taste this should be interdasting

1. MUSE - Thought Contagion

Vampire stuff, punk vibes, a nod to thriller, all of the above fit the mood of a FR show + the song is genuinely very good and I could see it being used on stage easily.

2. PAIN - Call Me

Absolute banger. But that's besides the point. I see this as being the bassist Jez/Jamie's song (with a side of Deuce as the second vocalist). Jez is a fairly quiet lad who generally keeps to himself but I always imagined that he’d be secretly very flirty and cheeky, but would mostly only really express it via music. I actually wrote a lil short story where most of FR's band (minus Rex and Isabella) find themselves in some dive bar after a show, and end up performing in the place of the no-show band that was meant to be there that night. That band ends up being the very same one that kicked Jez out, so it’s a bit of a revenge story for him. This short is on my discord by the by.

3. Emigrate - Eat You Alive

Oh boy, this is a strong one. Basically, just watch this video but pretend that Axl is Richard (the frontman). That’s it. That’s the explanation.

Being serious though, RZK is and always has been a huge influence for Axl's visual design, mannerisms and on-stage behaviours. On top of that, this is 100% the type of music he'd listen to, and the lyrics may as well just be plucked right outta his brain. Are the words meant to be aimed at Valeriya in a threatening way? Or is it a cheeky flirt with Trinity? Both? Neither? We’ll never know.

Also, completely unrelated I’m sure, here’s a wip you may or may not be able to force me to finish on stream via channel points soon...

4. Axel One - Out of the Dark

Can't exactly say much about this one cause it's spoilers, but I will say it's less about the song itself and more about the video, and that it does concern the one FR character who is already dead when the story begins.

5. Lord of the Lost - Raining Stars

Just seems to me like a real good song to perform to. I can imagine seeing acrobatic stunts in slow-mo to this track. That’s it for this one, just “I just think they’re neat”. Gorgeous song and video by an amazing band anyway though.

6. Oomph! - Supernova

Kinda the same deal as the Emigrate song, you can just insert Axl into this one in Dero’s place, along with Jez, Vlad, and Thatch. Once again the style and lyrics fit him perfectly, and this one earns bonus points since Dero is actually Axl's canon voiceclaim - specifically in this era of Oomph!’s music too.

7. Die Kreatur - Kälter als der Tod

At the risk of this thread becoming Oops All Axl TM - AH YES. This one is perfect for the point where Axl finally gets the fuck over himself, and stops being horrible to Vlad because of guitar jealousy, and they become bros.

Realistically, I doubt that Vlad - the clueless human vampire fanatic - will ever realise that Axl is a real actual vampire, but he'd be so glad that they seem to have this ~shared interest~ in them, and he'd by hyped as heck to do a performance like this with his guitar buddy. By the way, Vlad wonders to himself, isn’t it odd that he’s never seen Axl putting his fake fangs in?? Weird

As for the girl on the altar, there are a couple ideas I’ve toyed with. Random audience member for fun. Trinity but Axl gets mad jealous even though he thought and said he wouldn't. (No sharing!! Not even for jokes.) Valeriya but the poor thing is scared to the point of tears because this is just a little too close to a real experience for her and Vlad just can't figure out why. Axl insists she’s just being dramatic. Rex has to rescue her because she’s too shy to put her foot down.

Or perhaps Isabella would wanna join in, but she can't take it seriously and keeps laughing which just causes a chain reaction every time with even Axl cracking a smile. There are like a million cut takes now. Send help.

All in all a fun crossover to think about.

8. Adelitas Way - Still Hungry

This one is just Diesel’s anthem. This is the story of a young punk who can’t stop, won’t stop, never gives up and needs more. Right kinda music for him too.

9. MONO INC. - Shining Light

100% a full-cast song. I feel like the lyrics apply to a number of different things about various members of the circus' backstories, and their found family vibe together - if you think about them in super vague terms, at least. I liked to consider the vocals a duet between Rex and Isabella, being the two singers, but there are a couple lines that are kinda too adult for Bella and would make the duet sorta odd so ehhh 90% of it can be that, let’s say. (This is baring in mind that Isabella is an orphaned minor and Rex is like a father figure for her - as he kinda is for many of the members of the circus)

11. Pet Shop Boys - It’s a Sin

Bit out of left field for this playlist, sure, but with all the controversy and extremely shakey morals in FR's world and with its characters, this one just seems fitting. Plus I'd want em to cover it for a show. Banger.

Honorable mention goes to Ghost’s cover of this song. I don’t even listen to Ghost but my reaction upon finding out this exists was like “lmao yes, of course, why wouldn’t they”.

This song in general I associate instinctively with Vlad, purely because its 80s and campy and I feel like he’d be the type to listen to Ghost.

12. Destiny Potato - Lunatic

Very strongly feel this is a performance song featuring Isabella. This song fits the character - and in particular her tragic backstoryTM pretty well. I’d even go so far as to say the singer would be a pretty good voiceclaim for her if her voice wasn’t meant to be more robotic in canon. This is pretty close to what I imagine, though. Strong n sweet.

13. Nightwish - I Want My Tears Back

One of the first songs I imagined to go well with stage performances. This one for sure would be a duet between Rex and Isabella.

Plus at about 3:10 there's a long solo with a bit of back-and-forth between the guitar and hurdy gurdy (I think?) that I could 100% see Axl and Vlad doing on guitar and keytar respectively.

So, this would be from Isabella’s perspective. Did I mention she was orphaned? Yeah. I guess this one is a little dark.

16. Otetsu & GUMI - Disordered Self-Restraint Girl

The song itself seems to be the story of a child who is trying to coax their parent/guardian into getting up and doing things, not realising that parent had passed away from a drug overdose. Drugs isn’t the way Isabella’s parents died, but the rest of the song fits that part of her backstory imo. Plus, it’s German, and Isabella is German, so yay!

Uh oh, vocaloid.

For a long time I've associated this one with Valeria, and her feelings towards the circus in the early days. After she's accidentally turned by Axl, Val gets effectively kidnapped by FR, taken in before she can even regain consciousness and completely against her will, since it would be incredibly irresponsible of them to just leave a fresh new vampire out in the world so they kinda don't have a choice. While she eventually finds her place and elects to stay after some time has passed, there was a period of time where she definitely would have felt trapped.

This is without even going into the fact that she's now stuck travelling and living with her would-be murderer, and - due to the fact that half of the circus don't even know non-humans exist, let alone what actually happened to Valeria - many of the people around her don't seem to care, or simply do not understand why she's so scared and stressed. It leaves her, at times, feeling like she could be killed tomorrow and nobody would give a shit.

Description

The first side most people see of Jack is the side he wants you to see. A total asshole. It’s not an exaggeration - he’s pretty much infamous for flirting with everyone, dating anyone and as a serial cheater. He’ll actively try to worm his way into your life, and then just when you start to care, he does something to hurt you. He’s strangely persistent, probably helping him to push people even further, until they snap. There is nothing which satisfies him more than managing to wind people up to the extreme, get them to the point where they give up. Adopted parents, friends, nobody is immune to this side - he even tries it on the people he genuinely cares about, as if just to see if he’ll still be able to push them away.

The second side, which most people don’t see, is that at heart Jack is a kid. He’s the type of person to ask if owls have ears at 3am, or get some childlike joy out of dumb jokes. Of course, this is the side nobody but a very small number of people see. And even if you do see it, it never lasts long. He keeps his true personality under wraps even amongst those he does like, and it only slips out if he’s extremely comfortable with you. Otherwise, he’ll go straight back to being a sarcastic, flirty piece of shit.

04: PAST

Biography: 

Jackson Kelly was born in a council estate in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, in the UK. His life prior to adoption is not something he routinely talks about, but that’s mostly because he’d rather not give people reasons to pity him: his mother, 15 when she gave birth to him, was a drug addict; he has no idea who his birth father is or was, and no inclination to find out. Jack’s first ten years of life pretty much fell into the same cycle: get put into foster care, his mother would get clean and take him back, and then the cycle would repeat. But when the cycle ended when he was ten, and he was removed from his mother’s care for good, he wasn’t ready for it to end yet.

Sure, she wasn’t the best parent. But she was his mother. Jack quickly developed a reputation for running away, always found back at the same place. Foster parent after foster parent always ended up returning him, unable to cope with his rebellious tendencies and the constant hunt for him after he had run. As he aged, he only became better at avoiding being found. It practically became a game to him, a way for him to entertain himself. So when a wealthy American heiress and her British CEO husband decided that  of all people, they wanted to foster a now thirteen year old Jack, social workers almost wanted to ask if they’d misspoke. (Jack had assumed it was a practical joke.)

Claire and George, his new “parents,” were patient. They said he didn’t have to call them mum or dad, that even after they officially adopted him two years later he could keep his own surname, that they just wanted him to be happy. They moved him to a better school, got a private tutor to make up for lost time, tried to take an interest in his favourite things. But that wasn’t enough for Jack. Eventually, the situation resulted in drastic measures: a rainy afternoon with a social worker being told that Claire wanted to move the family to her birthplace of New York, and send Jack to the school she had attended many years prior. A fresh start would be better for him, they said. As if Jack didn’t know the real reason. He couldn’t run away if he was thousands of miles away.

And that was how a fifteen year old Jack made his way to Carnifex, with absolutely no change to his desire to wreak havoc or to his somewhat disturbing attitude towards other people. Therapists paid for by his adopted parents might say he was pushing people away to manifest emotions about neglect in early life; Jack would just say that he was keeping things interesting. Either way, the next couple years of his life escaped past him, and before he knew it he was in a school office, being told that his birth mother had died.

Obviously, Claire and George freaked, as if he would do anything. Pulled him out of school for a month, flew him back to England for the funeral, and practically wrapped Jack in bubble wrap like he was a baby or something. All he wanted to do was go back to school, ignore the guilt he felt in his stomach for letting them take him away, and go back to what he did best.

Timeline: 

December 4 2001 - Jackson Noel Kelly is born in Sheffield.

2005 - Jack is removed from his mother’s care for the first time. He is frequently removed from her care and then placed back in it for the next seven years of his life. 

2012 - Jack is removed from his mother’s custody permanently and placed in a temporary foster home. He bounces through foster homes for the next few years, including one where he meets Caitriona and becomes close with her. 

2014 - Jack is fostered by Claire and George. He resists any attempt for them to get close to him, and continues to act out. 

December 2016 - Jack is legally adopted by Claire and George, acquiring US citizenship, although he does not change his surname. 

January 2017 - Jack attempts suicide. He is placed in therapy and plans are made for his relocation to the US. 

March 2017 - Claire and George move back to America, taking Jack with them. He begins attending Carnifex. He continues to visit the UK regularly to visit his birth mother, who he keeps in contact with. 

April 2020 - Jack’s birth mother dies. He immediately disappears from school for a month, without telling anyone where he went. 

May 2020 - Jack returns to Luxor. It’s later accidentally blurted out mid fight with Zander that his mother is dead. 

June 2020 - Jack graduates and Leo tells the school Jack attempted suicide. 

September 2020 - Jack legally changes his surname from his birth name - Kelly - to his adopted parents surname, Fielding. 

December 2020 - Zander and Ches spread posters around claiming that Jack is HIV positive and gave it to Balo. They don’t provide any proof for this allegation, and Jack continues to deny it.

- He has a fairly strong Yorkshire accent which is obviously something other characters would likely notice when interacting with him. So if he uses words you don’t know it’s safe to assume he’s just being his dumb British self so you are free to have your character question the meaning/not know. (LMK if you’re unsure tho!)

- His favourite band is Oasis (closely followed by Arctic Monkeys), favourite film is Fight Club,  go to drink is either a double vodka coke or a pint of Heineken, and his favourite place is Leadmill in Sheffield because it’s where he’s seen some bands (and fucked girls in the bathroom. Such a romantic.)

- Dyslexic, but if you mention it Jack will fight you, although it’s partially why he leans more toward math based subjects where his spelling ability is irrelevant. 

- Notoriously has a thing for redheads, although that doesn’t prevent him from being crude and sexual towards anyone he happens to meet or interact with.

I’m really glad this is narrowed down to only the last year, because otherwise there’s no way I would have been able to narrow it down to only 5. As it is, I still couldn’t do that and I’m kinda gonna cheat :P As such, we’ll start with:

Rhitober and Rhicember! 

While these aren’t just one fic (hence why it’s cheating), they’re both major writing challenges that I gave myself and completed! Rhitober was a challenge to write something every day for a month, and Rhicember was a series of winter/Christmas/holiday prompts I did over the latter half of last December. They are various pairings and fandoms (Pillars of Eternity, Dragon Age, Wayhaven Chronicles). I think I’m gonna do Rhitober again this year, but I’ll have a lot more characters and fandoms to choose from then!

I’m actually going to single out one in particular as well from the Rhicember stuff because it deserves special mention.

Smitten

Pillars of Eternity, f!Watcher/Rekke, 3300 words. Kai kisses Rekke, then spends the next few weeks panicking about it before they finally sit down and talk about it.

Boy, Kai/Rekke really blindsided me. I had a prompt (I think in Rhitober, actually) and they were so obviously flirting in the whole thing and then it just snowballed from there. I love writing terrible first kisses; fairytale, fireworks-and-true-love kisses are great, but so are the awkward I-don’t-know-where-to-put-my-hands kisses :D Rekke being so clearly in love with Kai and being much more emotionally wise while Kai is panicking because she has caught feelings and doesn’t know what to do with them is such a fun juxtaposition. Plus, considering Laura Bailey is my voiceclaim for Kai, the scene where she’s talking to Xoti is just “Laura gives herself relationship advice” and that’s fantastic.

The Officer’s Ball

SWtOR, f!Trooper/Aric Jorgan, ~9000 words. Havoc Squad are invited to a fancy dress gala and things don’t go as planned. Pre-relationship, sweet sweet UST goodness while in tuxes and ballgowns.

One of the longest things I’ve ever written that didn’t involve multiple chapters. I have always wanted to write something like this but never found the right setting/opportunity until Ves and Jorgan came along. The flirting between Ves and Aric, the banter between them and Elara, the way the three of them work together so well as soon as things go sideways, this was so fun to write.

The Last to Know

Pillars of Eternity, sometime after Deadfire, 1800 words. f!Watcher/Edér Teylecg. Someone makes an offhand comment that makes Kai and Edér rethink their entire relationship and realize things they probably should have realized a long time ago.

Two people who have been living together for years, who sleep in the same bed, who are raising a child together, who share household assets and list each other as next of kin and are wearing the Lovers’ Light rings, are shocked to learn that people think they’re married. Are even more shocked to learn that maybe they want to be. I love these idiots so much.

Home Sweet Home

Pillars of Eternity, also sometime after Deadfire, ~7000 words. f!Watcher/Aloth Corfiser/Edér Teylecg. Kai has to go visit her family and brings Aloth and Edér along for protection and moral support. Some spoilers for endgame events of both PoE games.

You know, I’m surprised it took so long for this OT3 to happen, but I think that’s because Kai and Edér were busy being oblivious about their feelings for each other. You have not seen the last of these three together, that’s for damn sure. This fic snuck up on me and possessed me and would not let me do anything except write it until it was finished. The end result is surprisingly cathartic, watching Kai finally face down her terrible abusive family and stand up to them feels like a culmination of several years of character development for her. This whole thing is pretty much Kai, Aloth, or Edér doing something badass and the other two looking at them like:

1. What is your OC’s favorite color?

She loves green! It’s a calming colour that highlight her eyes and gives her a more alluring look.

2. Does your OC collect anything? What do they collect?

Not sure if it counts, as she doesn’t collect physical things, but she loves to take pictures of everything that makes her happy and look at them from time to time.

3. What kind of things is your OC allergic to?

Idiocy. 

4. What kind of clothing does your OC wear?

Black jeans, with a regular green top, a black vest-like trench coat and knee length black boots, so pretty basic.

5. What is your OC’s first memory?

Uhhhh......Like, as a child?  I suppose it’d be when her mother smiled at her and gave her the family heirloom, the Millennium Medallion.

6. What’s your OC’s favorite animal? Least favorite?

She loves all animals, but at first, she loved Wolves the most, since she thought it would suit her loner personality. Her least favourite animal were, ironically, foxes, because her father blamed every mistake on her and her ironic name.  That is, until she meets Seto and Mokie, and becomes friends with Yugi’s group, who taught her that instead of listening to the bad stuff, she should make her own name meaning, and since then, she wore her name and spirit animal proudly.

7. What element would your OC be?

Well, if we go by elements meaning, I think either Earth, because she is a nurturing and healing person who helps others without realising. Either that, or water, because she is calm and relaxes people, but she can also become an outright tsunami.

8. What is your OC’s theme song?

I think “Too Late” by Dead by Sunrise, since it shows how desperate she was to find an escape from the darkness she succumbed to once her mother and younger sister were killed in a car accident and she was left under the strict hand of her father who had inhumane expectations of her and wanted only perfection and for her to follow the path he dictates.

9. Do you have a faceclaim / voiceclaim for your OC?

I never thought of that, to be fair? For voiceclaims no, but I imagine her to have a pretty versatile voice, feminine and casual most of the time, but can go low enough to either sound alluring or have a hint of poison darkness.

As for face claims, while creating my Game of Thrones OC, I stumbled upon this picture and she’s been my “faceclaim” if I can’t do a drawing of her, or if the fandom doesn’t have anime/cartoon characters, but real people.

10. What deadly sin would best represent your OC?

For a long time, I’m pretty sure it would be Envy, because she’s see happy people with no family issues, and envies them so much, having dark thoughts about them.

11. What are your OC’s hobbies?

Games of all kinds, travelling, staying in the nature, relaxing outside.

12. How patient is your OC? How hot-headed are they?

She’s incredibly patient with everyone and everything, in most situation, but can’t handle bad behaviour and dumb questions, especially if repeated, and especially if she’s tired, concentrating or the repetition of the conditions is a much too high number.

Kitsune is a human girl, but I haven’t thought of her sexuality or romantic orientation before, since she’s only ever attracted to Seto.

She loves any kind of home-made food, but can’t stand some sea-food dishes.

15. If your OC could have any pet, what would they choose? Why?

Do foxes count?  If not, dogs and snakes would be her first options.

Okay, so, there’s this perfume and shower gel that I love so much and they smell SO good, like chocolate...So yes, that exactly.

17. How do they make a living? What kind of job do they want / not want? What is their dream job? What do they think of their current job?

She’s a student, so she has no actual job, but her dream job revolves around technology - Either a programmer or a game developer, both options, later, allowing her to work together with Seto.

18. What are your OC’s greatest fears? Weaknesses? Strengths?

She’s afraid of being manipulated and controlled again, insects and loneliness. Her biggest weakness is her kindness and the fact that she has a hard time denying anyone’s requests, so she can very often be walked all over, if someone doesn’t interfere. Her strengths are her perseverance and ambition that keep her going on and not giving up.

19. What kind of music do they listen to? Do they have a favorite song?

She loves rock, trap and indie songs mostly, and has a hard time choosing only one song, but one of them would be Scorpions - “Still Loving You”.

20. If they came from their world to ours (if not already in our’s) how would they react? What would they do?

Honestly, the Yu-Gi-Oh world is pretty similar to ours, so I don’t think it would be a huge problem to adapt, and would try to make friends and pursue her dreams.

21. What personal problems/issues do they have? Pet peeves?

Apart from her family issues with her mother and younger sister dying and her father being a controlling jerk? She gets pretty restless when she feels something is wrong, and would go in an overly-protective mode and often get herself in trouble.

Her pet peeves are when people chew too loud, being too loud in general, people looking at her phone and people who aren’t punctual or go back on their promises.

22. What kind of student were they/would they be in high school?

“The Nerd” trope. Straight As, loner, shy, but that’s mostly because of her father and how he’d punish her if she didn’t do perfect, and would move her to other schools/cities each year, depending on where his business would lead him.

23. What is a random fact about your OC?

Her hair has more personality than she has. No matter how much she tries, she can’t get it nice and neat, so she stopped caring and leaves it as untameable as it wants it to be.

24. What is their outlook on life? What is their philosophy / what do they think in general about living?

She’s a realist that can often slide down to pessimism or fatalism, as she doesn’t actually have any experience in the real world and is afraid of failing  and ruining everything around her.

25. What inspired you to create them / how did you create them? Were they originally a fan-character? What was their personality / design like when you first made them?

Honestly? She’s based on me and how I really am or I’d want to be, in a way. I love how I look with red hair, and I love foxes and their various portrayals and meanings, so I used them to create Kitsune, but instead of giving her black eyes, like I have, I gave her green eyes, like emeralds, to give her that touch of mysterious seductive aura around her.

26. Who is the most important person in their life? Why? Who is the least important to them (that still has an impact and why?

The most important person ALIVE in her life is Seto, because he was the one to take her away from her father and show her they are more than their bad parenting and tragic backstory. (Basically, after some exam results were showed, and she didn’t get the marks he expected, her father went to the principal’s office and realising the girl was using her mother’s old Duel Monsters, proceeding on lighting it on fire, making the girl freak out and put the slightly aflame deck in the principal’s aquarium, before having an outright breakdown, only for Seto to get mad and sass out the father, who was supposed to be a future business partner. When she left the school, she saw Seto and went to thank him, but he only asked if she wanted to babysit Mokuba for a short period of time when he’ll be in another country with business, and from then on, they bond.) On the other hand, the least important person, who still impacts her life, is her father, for the reasons stated before.

27. What kind of childhood did your character have?

Does it count as your usual sob story? Because until she was 13, her childhood was the dream childhood, but when her mother died, it all went down the drain.

She tends to wet and bite her bottom lip a lot, she always walks out with earphones and music at max volume to avoid anxiety, walks fast when alone, focuses on her phone to combat the same anxiety and awkwardness, and when impatient or focused, she plays with a strand of her hair, drums her fingers on the table (she likes it when she hears the tapping of her nails), or bounces her leg.

She can’t stand children, they annoy her very much and especially doesn’t want to go through the whole childbirth mess, or have her child hate her. As for marriage...She is afraid of marriages, of rather said, of the possible heartbreak of a divorce, but she wouldn’t actually mind having a dream/fairy tale like small wedding, to make everything beautiful and ethereal.

31. What is their most traumatic memory/experience? What is their favorite memory?

Her most traumatic experience is hearing that her mother and sister got in a car accident, and while her mother was killed on the spot, her sister died in the hospital, in front of her, not long after giving her her favourite Duel Monsters card : Madolche Cruffsant , just because it was hella cute.

Her favourite memory is either her mother teaching her Duel Monsters, or her reading her Disney Princess stories.

32. If they could have one thing in the world, what would it be?

Her mother and sister back to life.

She’d only kill in self-defense or to save someone else, otherwise, the farthest she’d go, is a hell of a beating.

In a group of friends, she’s the moral and emotional support of the group, as well as the one to attempt to stop others from doing impulsive and reckless decisions.

In a game, she’d be the healer, priest, shaman or white mage.

Her imagination goes through the roof, as she always day-dreams about literally everything and anything and reads a lot. Yeah, she does worry a lot and lives in the past, but she’s trying to work on it.

She needs affections, validation and comfort. (Give her a hug pls) She’s used without it, so she wouldn’t do anything physically/aggressively to obtain it, but it’s eating her alive when she’s overthinking and doubting herself. Other than that, she knows she can obtain everything she wants by herself and just a bit of work.

I don’t think she does anything special that she does and others don’t... But she likes to carry Mokuba on her shoulders.

Would make sure she doesn’t have to depend on anyone’s money, since she can’t stand being a burden to anyone, and would use the rest to make even more money, so one day, when she’ has a proper and constant living, she could help create animal shelters and donate to different charities.

Bubbly soda, water, chocolate and food in the fridge. A fluffy carpet on the floor and nothing else. Her laptop, a bottle of water and a bag of snacks. Fruit remains, empty snacks bags and other random useless things.

40. Your character is getting ready for a night out. Where are they going? What do they wear? Who will they be with?

She’s going on a calm walk on the shore, barefeet, with Seto, feet in water and letting the breeze mess up her hair even more. Kitsune’s wearing a soft coloured flowery patterned  dress that’s above the knee, it’s flowy and somehow transparent with an underskirt, and the sleeves are long and loose, all the paired with a pair of sneakers that she can easily take off, knowing she’s going to the beach.

41. What does your character do when they’re angry? Why?

It takes a LOT to make her to visibly show her anger, but she’s going to become extremely verbally aggressive, insulting, sarcastic, barely able to keep herself from getting physical.

Nope, she’s clean.

“If I wanted to kill myself, I’d climb your ego and jump down to your IQ, that’s lower than your shoe size. In fact, it’s non-existent, much like my respect for you. Get the hell out of my sight, can’t you see nobody wants you here? You’re going to be missed like the leprosy.”

If it’s not actually an insult or a rude remark, she’ll listen and see what she can do with the advice, more more often than not, she still does whatever she thinks it’s right.

She never tried pineapple pizza, so she’s not sure how she’d react, but it’s just 1 slice, so it won’t kill her. She’s not a huge pineapple fan though.

46. Your character is given a voodoo doll of themselves. What do they do with it? Do they see if it actually works? She takes a needle and gently pokes her hand, and if it’s actually true, she’s gonna keep that doll a secret for safe-keeping, so nobody will ever be able to use it.

She’s not THE best artist in the world, but she draws cute things like flowers from time to time to relax. As well as that, she draws flowery borders on her notebook pages.

I already talked too much about her father, but her mother was a sweet and kind soul, and incredibly ambitious and playful and competitive, which is why she won countless gaming competitions. Her mother’s angelic soul and kindness was the way she wanted to grow to be, and whenever she gets angry, she gets reminded of her father and hates herself for doing something he does that she hates so much.

She loves sweets, but she doesn’t feel the need to eat too many, especially at the same time, so she doesn’t get sugar rushes, nor does she get hyper.

She would cry a lot and would try anything in her power to alter her fate, but if it isn’t possible, she’ll try to spend as much quality time with Seto, Mokie and Yugi’s gang as possible.

She loves Green and Blue, but the longer she stays in Masyaf, the more she misses the beautiful shade range of purple and lavender.

In her time, she didn’t collect anything, but when she traveled back in time to Masyaf’s 1191 timeline, she started picking different flowers, pressing them in an empty tome that Malik gifted to her, and together with him, she would draw the flower on the other page, and write information about the plant in cause, with the help of her beloved Malik, both in her language and in his.

3. What kind of things is your OC allergic to?

As to quote a line from the Secret Crusade novel...

“Stupid Altair. Arrogant Altair. He was in trouble.”

4. What kind of clothing does your OC wear?

During her time, in the Japanese Brotherhood, as she is the Master Assassin of the Stealth branch, she wears mostly black, light clothes that allow her to sneak around, spy, snipe and blend in.

In Masyaf time, she had to wear the usual male Assassin outfit that literally engulfs her, which is really annoying as she can’t play to her strengths, so she has to fight quite a lot to get some practical adjustments to the outfit, and ones that won’t attract civilian nor templar unwanted attention.

Her elder brother singing this song to her : LULLABY

She loves foxes so much. She knows she looks like one, and she uses everything to her advantage, and since she doesn’t actually remember her real name, she chose “Kitsune” as her assassin name.

Also, keep spiders away from her, or she’ll feel her soul leave her body in a split second.

Fire. Without a speck of doubt. She’s a little, smug firecracker.

I think “Demons” by Starset works pretty well, as whilst she’s a strong person, she still has moments of weakness and needs someone by her side, before she loses control of herself and become someone she’d hate.

Same person as before. I don’t know who she is, but she’s my muse.

This little firecracker is somewhere in the middle ground, because yes, she is definitely patient in a lot of circumstances, but Gods, when she gets angry or impatient, you can literally see fire around her.

Kitsune is a human girl who never thought of love, as she was married to her work as an assassin, but when she arrives in Masyaf, she falls in love with Malik Al’Sayf.

Cherries! She loves fruits in general, but she LOVES to seductively eats strawberries or tie cherry steam knots! On the other hand, she won’t eat anything that looks weird or not aesthetic.

Give this girl a horse, she loves feeling the feeling of wind in her face as she feels the horse speeding up! It’s like she’s on a motorbike again, but a bit different!

She fears getting close to anyone, only to have them dying on her again, just like her parents and older brother. Her weaknesses are her physical strength, her fear of the unknown and the fear of failure. She is small, fast and agile, has an amazing sight and always does her job at perfection, thanks to her ruthlessness, and can easily seduce and manipulate people with words and a simple bat of her long lashes.

19. What kind of music do they listen to? Do they have a favorite song?

Give her the loudest rock music and the best trap and dubstep remixes, she loves the energy she gets from those kids of songs.

20. If they came from their world to ours (if not already in our’s) how would they react? What would they do?

She is from our world...Sort of, so she won’t have too much of a problem living her life at leisure.

She has a hard time straying from the rules or showing mercy because she’s been brought up by the Brotherhood since she was 7. Her parents died at such a young age (as they too were assassins) that she doesn’t remember them, and the man who took care of her, as per her parents’ death wish, died when she had to assist him on her first mission, at 12 years old, which was a chaos and he died saving her so she could make sure the mission was a success.

Her pet peeves are people getting too close to her when talking, breathing too loudly, children misbehaving and slow internet.

22. What kind of student were they/would they be in high school?

She didn’t actually go to a regular school, but was trained and taught by the brotherhood, where she was an incredibly perfectionist and diligent student.

23. What is a random fact about your OC?

She absolutely L O V E S to playfully flirt with people she likes, which makes Malik the one to endure all her flirting.

24. What is their outlook on life? What is their philosophy / what do they think in general about living?

She doesn’t care if she dies or not, as long as she’s happy. She’s an assassin, she’s been fearless for as long as she can remember.

25. What inspired you to create them / how did you create them? Were they originally a fan-character? What was their personality / design like when you first made them?

I love Malik, I want someone to flirt a lot with him, I flirt a lot with my friends, and hell, Kitsune, as I said, she basically myself with green eyes and maybe better make up skills. 

26. Who is the most important person in their life? Why? Who is the least important to them that still has an impact and why?

The most important person in her life that is alive is Malik now, as her “Elder brother” died, and she never got personally close to anyone in the brotherhood, only professionally.

There’s nobody who really influences her negatively, apart from her own self and her perfectionism/over-thinking or the brotherhood creed.

You could say that, half-jokingly, her least favourite person is Altair because he’s a jerk who caused Malik to lose his arm and Kadar to die, but she forgives him when she sees true redemption in him.

27. What kind of childhood did your character have?

It was a pretty basic childhood, her elder brother taking care of her while studying and training for the brotherhood, and for her, that was normality so nothing was weird.

28. What kind of nervous habits do they have? Do they stim? Do they have any kinds of addictions?

She bites her lip very hard, until the point she draws blood, she cracks her knuckles a lot and she has a sort of internet addiction that went down the drain when she went back in time and realised her Brotherhood wouldn’t/couldn’t bring her back in her times.

29. If they could choose their epitaph for their grave, what would they choose?

I went down in the flames of success, so better throw my ashes in the Haunted Mansion from Disneyland Paris, or I’m gonna haunt everyone.

She’s an assassin, so she sees no reason to marry, or worse, have children, which she can’t stand. However, that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t want to to wear a pretty dress, have a nice hairstyle and make up and dance in the moonlight, alone, with Malik. It’s the closest she would get to a normal, domestic family.

31. What is their most traumatic memory/experience? What is their favorite memory?

Her brother dying in front of her, and him yelling for her to finish the mission and return to the Brotherhood, otherwise they’d kill her is a scene that still haunts her every nightmare.

On the other hand, her favourite memory is her brother singing to her that Lullaby, something which she took up and would sometimes sing to Malik, or would sneak out at night and sing while dancing by herself, trying to find a bit of freedom and sense of self.

32. If they could have one thing in the world, what would it be?

Her brother back...And maybe some fucking WiFi and electricity...And a bathtub...With bath bombs...And scented candles...

She’s an assassin who struggles with showing mercy, need I say more?

In an RPG, she’d be the assassin, rogue or even warlock or necromancer, without a doubt.

She doesn’t have too much time to day-dream, but now that she’s stuck in the past, she has more free time to do nothing but imagine random scenarios that would never happen.

Kitsune doesn’t live in the past or future, she lives in the moment...In a way that is borderline robotic and as if she tries to forget the fact that she’s human at all.

36. What does your character want most? What do they need really badly, compulsively? What are they willing to do, to sacrifice, to obtain?

She wants to find a life that won’t bind her to the Brotherhood in a way that she’d have to sacrifice everything for it. She wants a normal life that still has some of the assassin thrill, but not the risks...Keep the adrenaline though, she hates getting bored.

She doesn’t know yet what or how to achieve this utopia, but perhaps the fact that she’s in the past, with a Brotherhood that she’s not officially part of, might prove enough for her.

Does anyone flirt in Assassins Creed 1? Because if they don’t, Kitsune does A LOT.

She’d take Malik with her and travel the world, exploring every inch of it, away from everybody she knows, and going to all theme and amusement parks.

Her laptop, phone and tablet on the nightstand, along with a water bottle and food. She has notebooks and ink and feathers on the ground next to her bed, since she’s usually too lazy to go to the table. There’s...No fridge in Masyaf, unfortunatelly...No more chocolate or ice cream... Lots of sketches and messed up scrolls in the trash.

She’s so used to wearing either assassin or sexy clothes, that she chooses to wear something so simple and casual, like a pair of sneakers and a simple sundress, taking Malik on a walk at night, as during the day she wouldn’t really be able to dress as revealing, in public.

She tries to calm herself, but when she can’t help herself, she’d either go physically or verbally violent and harsh, depending on the gravity of the situation.

It doesn’t take long to piss her off, but it takes a LOT to actually get her to lose her temper.

She has a scar on the left side of her face, going from the forehead, to her eye and down to the middle of her cheek, because of the accident in Solomon’s Temple when she sneaked to get the artifact.

“Tell me… Is being stupid a profession or are you just gifted? Why Don’t You Slip Into Something More Comfortable. Like A Coma? Wait, don’t worry, I can help with that. Can’t take it, especially if it’s not sugar coated or said in a gentle way, so she could understand it’s not an insult or an attack, but a suggestion.

She’d do whatever she wants regardless.

Pick up the pineapple slices, throw them at Altair’s face, then eat the pizza slice with no problem.

Would keep it safer than her own heart and would try to track down whoever did the doll, in order to kill them. She doesn’t need potential killers on her case.

She’s not too bad, but she likes drawings plants, animals and landscapes, which is why she likes to draw every plant she collects. On the other hand, she can’t doodle when absent-minded, she only taps the front of the pen on the table or paper.

She didn’t really know them, as they died when she was too young, so they didn’t exactly affect her in any way. They weren’t bad people, despite being assassins, but as far as she heard around the Brotherhood, they were diligent, intelligent and reliable, so she was proud to be their daughter.

She doesn’t get sugar rushes, nor does she eat too many sweets at once, but if she’s in a playful mood, she can get a bit more energetic than usual.

She’d try to see if it can be avoided, but if not, not a big deal for her. tysm for the ask!! i’ve been meaning to make a carrd or something with oc intros, but i have so goddamn many ocs and so little time now that i’m in college and all that. and i have the code saved from my old pages before i remade, but those are kind of outdated and incomplete

that being said i’m probably gonna end up making that carrd regardless of how busy i am cause special interest indulgence and all that, so i’ll post about it when i do

anyway! i’m putting the actual oc answers under a readmore because i’m gonna try to do all the ocs i listed and it’ll be kinda long lol

3. What does your oc’s voice sound like? (Or, if you have one, what’s their voiceclaim?) Can they sing, whistle, or roll their rs? Do they have any speech impediments or notable dialects/accents?

how does one even describe voices... ok here goes

avani: she’s my character for a ttrpg campaign, so her voice sounds basically like mine (which might not help much cause you don’t know how i talk lol), but when i’m talking as her i pitch my voice up a bit and make it a bit more nasally. she’s not much of a singer, nor can she whistle, but she can roll her r’s pretty well. also, since she’s autistic and hard of hearing, her tone of voice often comes off the "wrong” way

farhan: he’s another ttrpg character i play lol, or at least he will be next semester, so his voice is again kind of like mine. but when i talk as him i pitch my voice down and it’s a bit hoarse. ig his voice would also be more “masculine” than mine but whatever. he can sing and whistle but has a pretty small vocal range (since he’s, like, 13 right now and will be 16 when i rp him next semester)

carter: i imagine his voice as low and on the quiet and raspy end, with a tiny bit of a lisp. he’s way too insecure to try to sing or even whistle or anything like that, though if he practiced at it he’d probably get pretty good

calira: she’s mute so n/a i guess. but she talks pretty formally in her dialect of elvish sign language, which is definitely unusual

sam: they have kind of a low voice that’s also raspy, but with quite a bit of pep and variation in their tone. they can even sing pretty well and they like to whistle constantly while working. that creates some kind of whiplash cause sam comes off as a typical edgy teen a lot of the time

jizoriel: high-pitched with lots of voice cracks, peak pretentious preteen/early teen jerkass. he can’t really sing or do anything similar, nor does he want to very much

victoria: so quiet and raspy that you can barely make out that it’s low and has a soothing and pleasant tone to it. she can sing well, or at least she could once upon a time

rowan: just! the happiest and most cheerful voice you can imagine! so much love behind how she talks! her voice fills up her whole head and the whole room!! and she whistles sometimes while she walks

ace: defies any masculine or feminine labels, smooth and cool in theory but they stutter quite a bit

charity: gruff but with a hint of cheer and clarity behind it that comes out when she’s startled. she loves to sing but can’t whistle and can’t roll her r’s either

jamal: i actually have a voiceclaim for him! it’s this (the voice that sings from 1:51 to 1:58)

kimberly: her voice is a bit high and a bit... idk how to say it exactly... i guess shrill would be the word?

fabián: his voice seems higher-pitched than it actually is cause he talks higher when he’s anxious, and he’s always anxious. it’s a bit hard to describe his voice otherwise tbh. i can hear it in my head but i can’t quite put it to paper oops. oh yeah also he has a great singing voice but never uses it sooo

avani: honestly “mr. capgras encounters a secondhand vanity” by will wood is a “her” song to me. her music taste leans a lot more toward older music though (like some classics from the 70s and 80s and such)

farhan: he’s still very new so i haven’t really found a song for him yet. but i know he absolutely loves peppy and energetic pop music and also sappy gay love songs

carter: (slaps my hand away when i try to type another will wood song) “fantasy island” by the shins always launches me into daydreams about him. which kinda roughly aligns with his music taste, he listens to a lot of those “mainstream indie” artists. he’d also listen to will wood because he’s gay and mentally ill <3

calira: one of my favorite songs on her playlist is “maximillian von spee” by dirt poor robins. but the music she listens to is basically all invigorating church-loving stuff with medieval-era instruments lmao

avani: how she sees herself: honestly the worst person alive. unless she spends every moment of her time trying to make up for what she’s done, she’s worthless, and she doesn’t deserve to love herself in any capacity how others see her: her brother (farhan) really looks up to her! most of the time. the superhero team she’s on (other people’s ocs) all think she’s generally smart and capable enough, and her boyfriend in particular thinks she’s incredible

farhan: how he sees himself: as of right now? a misunderstood emo middle schooler who’s still kind of cool i guess how others see him: his sister (avani) thinks he’s quite an impressive and charismatic young man

carter:  how he sees himself: 1/10 awkward and annoying how others see him: carter reminds calira too much of her old self, so she love-hates him. sam thinks he’s weak and cowardly but admires his kindness. and jizoriel clings to him as a caring father figure and loves carter’s passion for natural studies

calira: how she sees herself: it goes back and forth between “i’m the greatest chosen one ever im such a strong warrior” and “wow i’m literal trash why did the gods pick me for this” how others see her: carter is a bit intimidated by her but appreciates her attempts to vibe with him, sam thinks she’s an annoying pretentious self-important bitch (but their opinion softens over time), and jizoriel sees right through her facade and feels comfortable around her because of it

jizoriel: how he sees himself: a fucking fraud of a prince. all he has going for him is his abilities as a mage, but even then those are shaky how others see him: carter knows he’s very insecure and wants to comfort him, calira admires his magical prowess and noble air, and sam thinks he’s a snarky little pretentious douchebag but also he reminds them of their late brother and they want to protect him at all costs

victoria: how she sees herself: basically dead. only good for interacting with ghosts. not worthy of the human world or of friendship how others see her: she reminds rowan of her old self. rowan sees a glimmer of love and hope in her and wants to bring it out

rowan: how she sees herself: a fucking mess but she’s trying her best and that’s what counts! how others see her: victoria very much appreciates her cheerful air even if she doesn’t act like it

charity: how she sees herself: a Teenager who’s struggling. she desperately wants to be young without the burden of her trauma but whether she thinks of herself as emo and sad and angry or not depends a lot on her mood how others see her: ace adores everything about her, jamal loves how cool and fun and sociable she can be, kimberly is annoyed with her rebelliousness, and fabián worries very much for her well-being and can’t shake the image of her as helpless (oops that’s gonna cause some drama)

jamal: how he sees himself: just a chill guy trying to get by. unremarkable. how others see him: ace is grateful for how forgiving he can be but is still terrified of him being angry over [spoilers], charity loves how sociable and fun he is and how protective he can be of his friends, kimberly secretly envies his carefree nature, and fabián sees him as a solid acquaintance to whom he did not give a good first impression

GUIDELINES

NO MINORS! I’m approaching my late 20’s so it’s just uncomfortable for me to talk/plot/write with people who are essentially half my age. If you lie to me about your age be prepared to be ghosted/blocked.

I prefer to fade to black rather than write smut. Sorry if this is a dealbreaker. Pretty much everything else (within reason) is fair game! And of course, characters must be appropriately aged.

I prefer literate roleplays! Just a preference, no minimums or expectations to 100% mirror, but I usually write anywhere from 2-8 paragraphs per reply!

Please be patient. I’m an adult with a full time job, and I work 6 days a week. Most of my replies come later on in the day when I’m out of work. I try to get at least one reply out a day but feel free to poke me if it’s been a few days!

Hektor: 5, 9, 23, 25, 35, 36!

Again this is my only unpublished sketch I have somewhat ready to publish for the moment. I’ll have more Hektors once i get home and scan them from the sketchbook. It’s based on this. Load of text under the cut! 

…yyyes and no.  Hektor was not created based on existing face, so there’s no official faceclaim. Some actors have some vibes or look similar in certain movies, like young Jason Isaacs has a pretty good face shape here  and John Keery in Stranger Things is a teenage Hektor in some scenes. But I met only one person that had a face 1:1 how I imagine Hektor to look, and it was a skiing instructor in the Alps on Austrian/Italian border. I saw him in a line to a ski lift for like two minutes. 

As for the voiceclaim, I once decided that I want to find it among German voice actors, because Hektor speaks with German accent, and I guess I’m just picky, but couldn’t find the one. I liked  German voice actor of Deacon in Days Gone, and I just learned his name is Adam Nümm  so I’ll check and let you know :D The problem with Hektor is he’s such a downer, or angry or at least flat most of the time, and the samples are happy and cheerful and with energy it simply doesn’t sound like him. 

What is a random fact about your OC?

The color of his voice, according to Owl’s synaesthesia is green. 

What inspired me to create him/genesis. (I was sure I already shared this information, but apparently i haven’t so)

Hektor was created first for a WWII setting, and was supposed to be simply American, but my friend suggested German surname, which changed his nationality. This also sealed his fate as unloved third son, because at that time he was still supposed to be in American military, and I needed a reason why he left Germany in the 1930s. Then some random changes in player team for a campaign made me sign him up for a Fallout RP group, where he stayed, and which became his main and canonical setting. 

As for the character, the core of it never changed. Since the beginning the thought was for Hektor to be the person who works hard, and is ambitious, and never satisfied with people around him, and who is disliked by his environment for working hard and speaking up. I wasn’t aware of that then, but it was actually a reflection of how i felt in High School, and I basically created myself a determined friend who doesn’t give up, so being ambitious and loud would be easier for me. And then I dragged my poor friend through all the shitty and edgy roleplaying dramas that didn’t have anything to do with my life. He has now some very understandable in postapocalyptic world traumas I’m trying to help him with, but the base is heavy influenced by my own personality. 

How is your character’s imagination? Daydreaming a lot? Worried most of the time? Living in memories?He wouldn’t call it daydreaming, it’s planning. His general tired look comes not only from physical work, he does plan next move, next day of training, vengeance, how to get his NCR rank bank, what can go wrong and how to react to it… He needs to feel in control, and from this stems constant reviewing of thoughts. As for the memories - he would probably say he’s not sentimental at all, pfh, but he happens to zone out into memories of Riley (she died in Fallout setting). He always tries to think of something else when he realizes he does that, aaand we get back to constant planning again! 

What does your character want most? What do they need really badly, compulsively? What are they willing to do, to sacrifice, to obtain?

Nina. One is a great military career, getting recognised as a commander who changed something in war with the Legion, and the other is confronting his abusive family and taking revenge. Which would be obtained best through the first thing. He waited for a long time for the latter, almost resigned twice, but everything keeps getting back to revenge being his only aim left. 

I don’t know how much would he be willing to sacrifice. A lot. It scares me, honestly, because I wouldn’t want him to pay too high a price. We will see once the confrontation happens.

Writober Day 3: Mystery

Content warnings: Paranormal entities, mention of demons/ghosts, kidnapping

Characters: Cynthia, Yuuki Narumi (Cynthia’s sister), Sokichi Narumi (Cynthia and Yuuki’s father). Quick note on Yuuki. Faceclaim is Shiho Suzui from Persona 5. Voiceclaim is Cassandra Lee Morris 

Stomp stomp stomp.

Cynthia sits up in her bed. Who could that be in her house? She hears silverware falling onto the kitchen floor. She leaps to her feet choosing her steps wisely as to not alert the intruder.

A cold wind blows from outside the bedroom. There! An open window. So that’s how the intruder got in... but who are they, how did they find her, and what do they want? Her home is secret, after all. The figure passes Cynthia’s line of vision. She presses her back to the wall contemplating the best plan of action.

The intruder enters the bedroom passing Cynthia- their back to her. This is it! Cynthia attacks from behind. The two begin to fight. A kick there, only to be blocked. A punch there, another block. Their fighting styles match. Cynthia attempts to grab and throw the intruder, only for them to counteract and throw her. “Opps!” 

It is only then that Cynthia gets a good look at her intruder. “Easy there.” The intruder grins.

Cynthia know that voice.

“Yuuki?!” 

Yuuki laughs.

“You startled me!”

“It’s because you’re outta practice.”

Cynthia grabs her little sister’s arm throwing her to the ground reversing their roles. Yuuki nods frowning in approval. “Okay, not that outta practice.” The blonde pulls Yuuki to her feet.

“What are you doing here, Yuuki?”

“Just visiting my big sis. Someone’s gotta encourage you to clean up the place.” 

Cynthia furrows her eyebrow. “Why are you here?”

Yuuki places a hand on her hip. “Dad hasn’t been home in a few days.”

“Isn’t that how he normally goes about his business?”

“No, dad went on a trip,and he hasn’t been home in awhile. I need your help finding him.”

“Absolutely not. You can’t break into my home and expect me to leave with you. I am sure he’s fine, remember when he encountered a poltergeist in Kalos? Or the demons in Johto?”

“Not for this long. Are you coming or not?”

“No. Yuuki, I can’t!”

“Please? Just this one time.”

“What makes this situation so special?”

“I was back in Sinnoh doing my own job... we were supposed to touch basis a couple of days ago.”

“Father let you go on your own hunting job?”

“Yeah! Dad was investigating some disappearances over in Kanto. He left me this voicemail.” Yuuki raises up her phone and plays a voicemail. The sound of their father’s confident voice can be heard- but the message is distorted and choppy.

“Yuuki. Something is ve----wrong.----------Disturbances--------Negative energies.-------Danger.” The message ends. Cynthia blinks. “Is that a code?” 

Yuuki grins. “You never forget, do you? Yep! I flipped and filtered it and this is what I got.” She played the edited recording. Tick-Tock. Tick-Tock. Tick-Tock. Shivers run down Cynthia’s spine.

“I see. Well- I suppose I can help just this once.”

“Great! Pack up, we’re hittin’ the road!”

Cynthia packs a small bag and finds her father’s black impala in the front. “Father’s car?!”

“Yep!” Yuuki sings. “He let me borrow it. He took his bike.” The girls got into the car and drove down to Kanto. Along the way, Cynthia begins to research the case their father was on before his disappearance. “Appears as if we have multiple people going missing over several months. All missing persons are male who disappear along a road.”

“Huh.” Yuuki rests her head on her left hand the other on the steering wheel. “Maybe when we get there, we’ll find dad.”

The sisters arrive at an inn. The innkeeper recognizes their last names- and Cynthia. Something about their father checking in. He gave the sisters a key card. Saying “Cynthia dropped it.”

“How intriguing.” Mumbles Cynthia under her breath as they pass a young trainer with a derpy looking Pikachu. She peers closely at the newspaper clippings and notes her father put on the wall. 

Yuuki picks up a half eaten sandwich on the table. “This looks to be a couple of days old. He hasn’t been here. I think he left in a hurry.” 

Upon the wall is a picture of an abandoned house not far from the road of disappearances. Immediately they drive to the location pulling beside their father’s motorcycle. Cynthia steps out of the car.

“Over there!” Yuuki calls slamming the car door shut and running a few yards over. She picks up a black journal.

“Is that?”

“Dad’s journal.” Yuuki nods. She opens the book and begins to read through in hopes of finding information.

“Oops!” A few feet away Cynthia spots and picks up her father’s white fedora. “He never goes anywhere without this!”

“Why are you in his latest entry?” Yuuki asks.

Cynthia blinks. “I beg your pardon?”

“Dad said- you were to meet him... Where is he?”

“I have no idea, I have not heard from in in weeks.”

“You did something, didn’t you?! Dad doesn’t lie. You did something right here, didn’t you?!”

“Yuuki, do you really think that I would even come up with such a plot?”

“It says right here! ‘Going to meet with Thia.’ We all know he’s the only one that calls you that. You don’t like ghost hunting, he met with you, dad’s gone, what did you do?!” Tears well up in Yuuki’s eyes.

“It wasn’t me!” Cynthia retorts shaking her hands. “I promise, Yuuki, I would never. I may wish to avoid the- family business. Nonetheless, I respect what father does.”

“Then why did the Innkeeper recognize you? He said you dropped the keycard!”

Cynthia looks down clutching her arm. What does she say? This is her first time setting foot near this abandoned house. She hasn’t the foggiest idea what his happening.

“I knew it!” Yuuki points her finger. “Bring him back!”

The blonde shakes her head. “I’m afraid you’re making wild accusations, Yuuki.” Cynthia turns away from her sister and enters the house. Wait- this presence... it’s not haunted with ghosts- it’s... 

Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock.

“Oops!” 

Yuuki slams the door behind her. “You’re not getting away with this!” She hollers.

“Shh! Quiet!” Cynthia tip toes up the stairs. 

“Oh no you don’t!” Yuuki pounds up the stairs. Cynthia reaches up. “No!”

The young girl stops at the top of the stairs eyes wide. “Woooaaah!” Hazel eyes go back in forth in tune with the rhythm. Tick-Tock. Tick-Tock. Tick-Tock.

“I don’t think so!” Cynthia throws a Poke Ball summoning Spiritomb. The ghostly Pokemon fires a Shadow Ball at the Hypo. Cynthia herself runs up and punches it.

“Back here!” Calls a voice in the back of the house.

“Take care of this.” Cynthia directs Spiritomb She runs over to the back of the house and to find every single missing man tied up. Including her father. Yuuki runs up behind Cynthia rubbing her head. “Father!”

“It’s about time the two of you showed up.” Sokichi smirks. Cynthia pulls a knife from her coat and cuts everyone free. 

“Thank you, Thia.” Sokichi smiles taking his hat from his daughter placing it back upon his head. “I’ll take it from here.” He runs out and throws a Premier Ball at the Hypno. 

Wiggle wiggle. Wiggle Wiggle. Wiggle Wiggle. Ding!

“A-ha!” He picks up the white ball off of the floor. “Good work, Spiritomb! You did all the work for me! How embarrassing... I end up becoming victim to what I came out here to stop. Good thing I have such wonderful daughters.” He puts an arm around Cynthia and Yuuki. “Good work, ladies.”

Yuuki blinks. “You mean...? Cynthia, you didn’t?”

“No! I would never!”

“Dad, why did you note meeting Cynthia in your last journal entry? Why did the innkeeper recognize her?”

“Ah,” Sokichi shakes his head. “She is recognizable worldwide! I intended to call and meet Cynthia the day I was taken. However- I never got the chance to make the arrangements. The innkeeper saw a picture of her in my wallet when I was making a payment and asked if I knew her. Another guest had a Ditto- was training them for a contest. I suppose I dropped the spare key and the Ditto was having some fun. The little pink blob kept turning into different Kanto Gym leaders when I passed by.”

“Oh...”

“Let’s get these poor exhausted gentlemen out of here and to the police to go home. Hypno has been taking various men driving by. See- she’s lonely. If she found a man alone... she’d take them and try to make them family. Now it’s time to rehabilitate her and get these men home.”

The police were called, arrived, and everything was handled appropriately. Everyone returned home. Cynthia, Yuuki, and their father sat together in a small ramen shop in Vermilion city.

“Another day, another soul saved.” Sokichi puts down his chopsticks his bowl empty. “Well done, ladies. This couldn’t have been done without you. I’m grateful you two worked together.” He stands up. “I’m going to get packed up and get back to Sinnoh now. See you there.”

Cynthia and Yuuki sit silently for a moment. Yuuki has hardly touched her ramen.

“I’m sorry, Cynthia- for accusing you.”

“Don’t get all sappy on me now, Yuuki.” Cynthia smirks. “Apology accepted, jerk.”

Yuuki smiles picking up her chopsticks. “Bitch.”
