sherlock re-re-re-rewatch comments
reacting to "The Empty Hearse" Season 3 Episode 1
first scene of The Empty Hearse... Sherlock is on the roof on call with John and John is realising what he is going to do. This is so bad because John was in war. He would have lost friends and seen people die. He has trauma. He needs therapy. And here is Sherlock, killing himself in front of him. THE TRAUMA!
2. the way John's comments keep popping into Sherlock's mind while he is investigating without him makes me speculate that during the time Sherlock was "dead" he made a habit of carrying John with him in his investigations. he kept hold of John's influence on him to the point that it became a voice in his head whenever he needed it.
3. train guy has the coolest wallpaper/wall decor.
4. Imagine someone saying to you, "I've got this job you can do. Basically you just have to come with me while I do really cool intelligent investigating things but I will constantly imply that you are stupid and there's a side of life-threatening danger every so often. Deal?"
5. Going out on a limb here, but I just put two and two together and I was thinking... You know how sherlock just isn't interested in romance, right? And the fact that he has chosen a man as his investigating buddy and flatmate and friend. Typically, men tend to be less emotional than women. More of the practical, rational kind. (Please don't hear me saying something I'm not here. I hate this kind of discussion when it stems from misogyny and dogma, that's not what I mean.) Men at least tend to be the "thinking" types more often as far as their myers-briggs personalities go, and women are more often the "feeling" types. And Sherlock doesn't like emotions; he doesn't like them in himself since they can "cloud his judgement" and he's probably just not comfortable with them, and he doesn't like them in others because he never knows the correct response which makes him feel inadequate. This would make sense of his choice of John. A thinker type. A man. And the closest Holmes would ever let anyone get to him in his life.
6. John just name-dropped the IRA in regards to terrorist organisations, and I really need to research this thing, after having watched Peaky Blinders, and a bunch of other Irish films with Cillian Murphy in them, I've been hearing about the IRA and the Irish/English contest and I'm interested, but clueless.
7. Just to expose how unrealistic this show is, if you actually imagine it happened irl... the bonfire scene with John being rescued would 1. have given the kids that saw it actual trauma, and 2. have been covered on national news.

Lets address this real quick. Please. What is this. Holmes what are you doing. Please continue tho, this is not a complaint just. What. The scene that implanted itself onto my head probably isn't what ACD thought BUT. The king must've been flabbergasted. Or not. Maybe I am seeing things. Maybe I should stop or maybe not maybe I'm crazy what. I read this, thought about it. Then I went to sleep, thought about it. Ruminated on it. then I woke up, thought about it. I am thinking about it.

I can't even get through The Empty Hearse ...
Sherlock deducing with Molly along, as he's constantly hearing John's (now derisive voice) in his head, talking at all the points John would normally have spoken ... 🥺 (knowing his timing and cadence like his own heartbeat).
How many times did he hear "brilliant"? And "amazing"? And "fantastic"? Whispered in breathless wonder ... while he was dismantling Moriarty's network for 2 whole years? How many times did John's voice save him and keep him going???
John was with him the whole time. Because John is always there.
(There's always the two of us).
And now ...
"Not really in the picture anymore"
Like he knows now what it's like to be half the person he once was ... and will never be again.

Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century fandom needs some sillies too
Also, I think we need more Victorian settings where we casually mention the most batshit things about the era when you least expect or want them. Not the gross shit, the funny shit

I’M FUCKING DEAD 💀
It’s Takagi who reacted to Hakuba’s Sherlock Holmes cosplay and not Conan
I’m not saying Conan should have been like ‘he’s cosplaying as Sherlock Holmes cuz he’s a British detective, ugh that’s over the top’ or ‘man, he dares to show up on a crime scene cosplaying as Sherlock Holmes, I wish I was this bold’, I’m just saying I wanted to see at least one reaction from Conan, it doesn’t matter which one it is.
I suppose the inspectors already saw Hakuba in cosplay before so they might be used to it by now, but Conan ? Come on dude, another high school detective shows up in a cosplay of your favorite character/inspirational figure and you’re not reacting to it? Dafuq?
