El informe analiza el estado de salud de ocho millones de personas que viven en un radio de 20 kilómetros de los cuatro aeropuertos españoles más transitados.  Las partículas ultrafinas son aproximadamente 1.000 veces más pequeñas que un cabello humano y son especialmente preocupantes porque penetran profundamente en el cuerpo humano y se han encontrado en la sangre, el cerebro y la placenta.  Reducir el tráfico aéreo y sustituir el combustible por uno más “limpio”, dos medidas imprescindibles para mejorar la salud de esta población, a menudo la más empobrecida y vulnerable La exposición a partículas ultrafinas (UFP, por sus siglas en inglés) está relacionada con el desarrollo de afecciones graves y a largo plazo, con problemas respiratorios, cardiovasculares y problemas en el embarazo. En España existen ocho millones de personas —alrededor del 16 % de la población total— que viven en un radio de 20 kilómetros de los cuatro aeropuertos más transitados del país y están especialmente expuestas a las partículas ultrafinas de la aviación, según revela el nuevo estudio de T&E, federación en la que participa Ecologistas en Acción. Solo en Madrid hay 3,8 millones de personas afectadas. Por su parte, en torno al aeropuerto de Barcelona son 2,7 millones de personas las afectadas por la actividad del aeropuerto, por 896.000 de Málaga y 557.000 de Palma de Mallorca. En el conjunto de Europa, 52 millones de personas se ven afectadas por los 32 aeropuertos más transitados. 280.000 casos de hipertensión arterial, 330.000 de diabetes y 18.000 de demencia en Europa pueden estar asociadas a la exposición a dichas partículas, según esta nueva investigación. El estudio extrapola los casos notificados de estas enfermedades en los alrededores del aeropuerto Schiphol de Ámsterdam y ofrece la primera estimación de los efectos sobre la salud relacionados con las UFP de la aviación en Europa. Si se tienen en cuenta los aeropuertos estudiados en España, el transporte aéreo sería el causante de 52.205 casos de hipertensión, 64.918 de diabetes y 5.339 de demencia. Unos guarismos que sitúan a España a la cabeza de todos los países estudiados en lo que se refiere a hipertensión y demencia. A pesar de todo ello, hasta la fecha, no existe ninguna normativa sobre los niveles seguros de UFP en el aire a pesar de que la OMS advirtió hace más de 15 años de que se trataba de un contaminante de preocupación emergente. Meanwhile all my life I could literally be in actual meltdown - in need of medical help - and I'll be told that I'm being disruptive.

People will literally shush me while trying to tell me to calm down,

An autistic person getting overwhelmed and crying on a subway is somehow more disruptive than a group of guys doing literal backflips inches in front of people's faces and shit and asking train patrons for their money.

An autistic person having a vocal stim is somehow more annoying and unacceptable than a guy who PURPOSELY makes his car as loud and disruptive as possible.

People can go out of their way to disrupte others for no reason other than their own enjoyment and neurotypicals will just take it because it's 'normal'.

But let a disabled person do something slightly out of the ordinary and suddenly it's 'stop you're disrupting everybody :((((( '

A person could be on their phone for the entirety of a movie, brightness on blast in a full theatre, and the neurotypicals behind them will cross their arms and huff and puff and NOT SAY ANYTHING as if that solves the fucking problem.

Socially unacceptable disruption that's caused by personal choice? They'll fucking take it.

But let an autistic person next to them start flapping at a scene they like and suddenly it's 'hey uh can you stop-'

A dude with a fucking boombox on blast could walk into a room and neurotypicals won't say SHIT. Cause telling another neurotypical to stop is 'rude' because 'its their right'.

You literally do not have the right to purposely make your car as loud as possible, your lights as bright as possible, your ads as disruptive as can be.

You literally do not have the right to play TikTok out loud simply because you want to go on the app RIGHT NOW and do not give a fuck about the people around you.

You literally do not have the right to force stimuli on other people simply because you're in the mood for it.

And you DO NOT get priority over people who literally are not in control in moments of crisis because their behavior is inherently more 'disruptive' than that of an NTs.

Autistic people have a right to express our emotions and needs candidly and clearly. If they're 'disruptive' or 'attention-seeking' THAT'S THE POINT.

We literally need to disrupt the situation and seek attention - aka help for our literal disability.
