Charlie Morningstar

Sweetie, Sunshine, Baby:

Charlie is more often to address you by your name, or a nickname of your name, but in the more soft and meaningful moments she’ll whip out a petname or two

Sunshine is definitely used the most, as cheesy as it is, you’re HER sunshine, and she wants you to know that!

Then sweetie comes in second, as I don’t see her using baby a lot, it just feels too… I don’t know, I just don’t see her using it a lot, she may or may not throw in an occasional ‘love’ though

Vaggie

Hon, Babe, Sweetie:

I don’t think this list is very debatable, as it’s seen in the show

In my mind, Vaggie’s not a huge fan of most petnames, so her preference leans towards the more casual ones

She doesn’t really save a specific time to use them, she kinda just uses them whenever she feels like it

Also, definitely hon and babe are the ones she uses most, she doesn’t use sweetie as much as the others

Angel Dust

Sugar, Baby, Handsome:

Now THIS is a list I think may possibly be debated, cause it’s not directly based off of the show

REASON BEING, is because his more well known names (Snookums, Toots, etc) I feel, in my personal opinion are more used in platonic settings for his female friends

I can see him using petnames personal to his significant other, but ‘baby’ is his most used, just cause it’s a classic, with handsome following in second

Obviously, he uses ‘sugar’, I just think he uses the others more, simply because they roll off the tongue for him easier

Alastor

My dear, Lovely, Darling:

‘My dear’ and ‘Darling’ I think are quite obvious as to why haha

‘Lovely’ gives me very old fashioned vibes and I just see him using it, not too sure why

I could also see him using ‘small one’ if you’re shorter than him

Sir Pentious

Beloved, Sweetheart, Dear:

‘Dear’ I think is a bit obvious, cause he used it once or twice in the show, correct me if I’m wrong, I know he used it with Niffty in S1E6

And I can easily see him using ‘Beloved’ - he’s this dorky little man, and you ARE his beloved, so it’s just fitting haha

‘Sweetheart’, I don’t have a reason to be honest, I just don’t know

Husk

Doll, Sweetheart, Hon:

‘Doll’ gives me vibes from the time period he died for some reason, and it kinda just fits his theme, so, no exact explanation for this one haha

Like Vaggie, he’s casual with his petnames, doesn’t use ‘em a whole lot, but ‘Hon’ has a tendency to roll of the tongue

For ‘Sweetheart’ it’s kinda for the more tender moments you two share, like in the moments when he looks at you thinks ‘Damn, I got so lucky with them’ and pulls you in for a soft kiss as he tucks your hair behind your ear and mutters ‘I love you so much, sweetheart..’ into your lips … Yeah those moments !

Other than that, he just usually calls you by your name, again, petnames aren’t usually just something that pop outta him a lot haha

Lucifer

Sweetie, Angel, Lovey:

No offense to the people who headcanon this, but I’ve seen a few people think Lucifer would call his s/o ‘Duckling’ (like in x reader fics) and I’m so sorry but it’s not my thing, I just don’t think that😭😭

‘Sweetie’ is the one he uses the most but ‘Lovey’ tends to spill out of him the easiest

He tends to call you ‘Angel’ or ‘My Angel’ when you’re upset and he’s comforting you, no reason in specific, that’s just kinda how he does things haha

Vox

My dear, My love, Baby/Babycakes:

‘Babycakes’ is definitely used in a more joking manner, other than that, Vox is a classy pet names kinda guy haha

‘My dear’ is his default but ‘My love’ definitely slips out from time to time

I think an honorable mention is just straight-up ‘Love’ — I can also see him using that one a lot

Ultimately it depends on the day with him tbh

Velvette

Baby, Sugar, Darling:

‘Sugar’ is kinda just a whenever per name, while ‘Baby’ is most likely used during sex, they both just kinda fit her atttitude yk? haha

As for ‘Darling’, it’s more often that not used in a more soft setting, but not always

I can also see her using ‘Honey’ every once in awhile, but it’s mostly mood based

Babe, Sugartits (or Hunk for M!readers), Sexy:

‘Babe’ is his go to, no questions asked, it kinda just fits him and his ego personality, ya know?

But ‘Sugartits’ is more so used in a joking manner, although ‘Hunk’ isn’t as much

‘Sexy’ …? I don’t even have an explanation for LMAO

Lucifer Morningstar x Reader Height Difference Headcanons

AKA What it's like to love a Short King

I was already inspired after my last headcanon post, and have some more fun little ideas for Lucifer X Reader, namely in regards to our dear Fallen Angel being the short one in the relationship. Got a bit sillier and spicier with this one, and I hope you're all ready for some very spicy ones in the near future!

- He's accustomed to being shorter than most, and while he's not one to accept mockery of any kind, he's more than comfortable enough with himself to accept nicknames and loving platitudes about his height from a romantic partner. Hearing you sweetly refer to him as a "Short King" will always get him smirking, and an affectionate "Little Lucy" makes him melt every time. Cooing over how cute he is is also sure to put him in a happy, purring mood, to the point he'll end up laying his head on your lap if you'll let him. Hearing about how darling you find him whilst having your fingers run through his hair might just be his favorite pastime.

- Between the wings and his angelic powers, he doesn't actually struggle to reach anything high up, but he will still appreciate it if you preemptively grab the item in question. That's not to say he won't ask, but he'll always make a point to be as silly about it as possible when he does. Requesting a lift is his preferred way of doing so, and he'll take his sweet time lounging in your arms after grabbing what he needs, even stretching out bridal style for a bit of carrying. Angelic magic can make him light as a feather for extra long bouts of carrying if you're willing to indulge him.

- He'll be the first to tell you all about the advantages of his stature, and at the top of his list is how often he finds himself at bust height, which is quite the gift for a breast man like himself. Yours are the only ones he's interested in, obviously, but he loves how easy it is for him to come in for a hug and tuck his head in between. You'll find him doing this wether he's had a great day or a terrible one, with the former being to celebrate and the latter being to get some much needed comfort somewhere warm and soft. He can't help it if your boobs are just the perfect place to put his face.

- He's going to borrow your hoodies. Granted, "borrow" is an interesting term for something you'll never get back, but he always ensures you're compensated in some way or another. No top of yours that fits him is safe, and the looser it fits over his smaller frame, the better. These oversized clothes are never worn outside the privacy of his quarters, and he wears them most frequently when circumstances keep the two of you apart, particularly at night. Having something of yours all around him is like having your embrace from a distance, and he can't help being sentimental enough to find comfort in that, even after so many eons.

- He's small, but you'll never forget that he's an absolute powerhouse, if only because it's beyond obvious when you're in his presence. Angelic power practically hums through the air if you listen closely, and that's just what you can sense at a distance. Things are even more intense when you come into contact with his lean physical form. For all of his grace and agility, he doesn't lack for physical strength in the slightest, and you learn that the first time you feel him support your body with his. He'll never once give even a hint of effort, let alone struggle, no matter how considerably you tower over him. Carrying you bridal style takes no more effort than one would to lift a couple of grapes. As such, he'll happily take you into his arms or lap, and showing off his unfathomable strength in romantic gestures always gets him puffing his chest with pride.

We all know that Gojo switches attitudes in the blink of an eye. I feel like he'd do this in a relationship.

In public, he'll tease you. Maybe joke about something you said. A miss spoken word.

However, when your in private, if he hears you say one bad thing about yourself, he'll get all serious. Whether that's about your looks, intelligence, personality, whaterver it is, if Gojo senses your talking bad about yourself, he'll sit you down and tell you everything he loves about you.

When he gets home after a long day at work, he will drag you onto the sofa or bed and lay on you, resting his head on your chest.

He loves head massages. Like, just feeling your fingers running through his hair and over his head is heaven to him.

He buys you expensive gifts to show his love.

"What did you just say?"

A cold chill ran down your spine at the sound of Satoru's voice behind you.

"I-I didn't say anything..."

"Bullshit," he seethed "you said the dress made you look fat."

You couldn't meet his eyes, too ashamed of yourself to face him. He wrapped hos arms around you and pulled you to sit on his lap, caressing your hair.

"Baby, that's not true. You could never look fat. You don't look fat. At all. You're amazing. Everything about you. That's how you got me so tightly wrapped around your finger."

His voice was soft, soothing. So calming you couldn't help but lean further into his touch.

He definitely sings in the shower and you can't convince me otherwise

When you found out he tried to hide his embarrassment but the blush on his face was way to noticable.

If you come home tired or just not in the mood to cook he'll either order something or immediately go to the kitchen to cook for you

He wears the pink apron you brought for him as a joke.

You are his biggest priority. The man will drop everything to gelp you with no hesitation.

He shows his love through his actions.

A sight you didn't expect to see was your six foot tall boyfriend striding around the kitchen in a baby pink apron. You'd brought it for him a week ago and never expected him to actually wear it.

"Kento," the laugher was in your voice, straining to be released.

You couldn't keep it in anymore when he looked over at you, a serious expression on his face.

He smiled when he saw you laugh. It was a sound he missed when you weren't around

This man shows mercy when it comes to your height.

This mountain of a man will make fun of you for being shorter than him even if it's only an inch.

But he will take ZERO toleration for other people making fun of you.

When he's had a hard day he will embrace you in his arms until he's bored of it (which is never)

"Don't you dare move." He grumbled into your neck.

He'd also invite himself in, order your favorite food (he wouldn't lower himself to the point of cooking) and absorb you in his arms until he senses you feel better.

He'd call you things like "my queen"

He shows his love through actions

No matter how may times you blinked, this didn't seem any more believable. The king of curses was standing at your door with a bouquet of your favorite flowers.

"Sukuna..." you where definitely sceptical.

"What? Am I not allowed to treat my queen?"

"Not when you act suspicions doing so."

He walked passed you into your house. He gave up asking for permission ages ago.

I just wanted to post this one cuz I like his smirky little face.

LOL no, seriously though, there's no specific way a character has to act or behave to be deemed a top, bottom or switch. It's a preferred sexual position that isn't dependent on outside factors, it's just what a person enjoys, and what the reader/viewer wants that character to be. That's essentially what it is. It's not based on logic, it's based on what position the fan prefers for them to be in.

Lucifer could do his sexy little shoulder bop and still be a bottom. He can give the most suave, seductive smirk and still be a bottom. It's different for everyone.

But as for why I like top!Lucifer, here are a few reasons:

A) I really like it when shorties top. So often, in almost all fandoms I've been in, the default for a popular ship is the shorter one bottoming and the taller one topping. As a shortie myself, I just...ugh, I get so tired of it. Especially since the bottom is typically softened, UwU-ified, and turned into this delicate little flower. Bringing personal feelings into this, I've been very short and very thin all my life. I've literally been described as "delicate" before, and as someone who enjoys sports, running around, and is just a loud, rough and tumble person by nature, I absolutely hate it. It's given me a lot of mental and emotional issues, and a lot of the treatment and comments I've gotten has made me feel belittled, vulnerable, and weak. So, while being a bottom doesn't mean you're any of those things, short characters have been treated like that for a majority of the fandoms I've been in, no matter what their personality, stature, behaviors, or attitude was, and seeing it brings out of love of dark and negative feelings that I'd rather not re-live when I'm trying to enjoy myself in fandom. (Which is another reason why I dislike so much bottom!Lucifer because he's so often softened down and turned into this naive, dare I say, helpless little lamb. The moment Alastor overpowers him or easily manipulates him into a deal, I am outta there.)

B) Lucifer has that top energy. Can't explain it. He just does. To be clear, I don't see him exclusively as a top. He's a switch. But I do headcanon Alastor as exclusively a bottom, so in any radioapple relationship I write or draw, Lucifer will top.

and C) the most important reason: I like seeing Alastor get railed.

Alastor bottoms in all the ships I have for him and Lucifer is no exception. Besides, I find a lot of versatility and potential in Lucifer being with/fucking a sinner, especially considering his distaste of them. Makes for a good hate-fucking scenario, or a very emotional and in-depth character deep dive of him coming to terms with his own bias and internalized hatred of them and finding love and companionship in one of the very people he despised. That's some delicious mental turmoil and the perfect opportunity for character development.

(LOL there's a lot of talk of Alastor not bottoming because of his ego, and yet nobody considers that maybe Lucifer wouldn't bottom for Alastor because he's a sinner. He is the embodiment of pride after all. So, combining that with his disdain for sinners, would he really "stoop" so low as to let one of them fuck him? Food for thought).

But seriously though, when it comes down to it, I just like Alastor bottoming and Lucifer topping. Yes, bottom!Lucifer and top!Alastor has been soured for me due to popular fandom depictions of it, but even before those were popular, I simply preferred Alastor bottoming. I enjoy it more, not just for his character, but just...because. I just do.

Thing is, I don't think there has to be a list of reasons for why you prefer a character topping, bottoming, or switching. People are allowed to do whatever they want with these characters. It's fandom. This is a playground. We don't have to have a reason, we're just here to have fun.

If you can't see Lucifer as a top, Anon, that is a-okay 👍👍Thanks for asking for a different perspective though, it's always awesome when a person seeks to understand someone else's point of view. I don't know how well of a different perspective I offered, though. I have a hard time answering questions like these bcuz they just don't make a lot of sense to me. It's hard to say why I like something when I just...do. I just vibe with it.

To boil it all down, my examples/answers are all based on what I like and how I feel. I like bottom!Alastor cuz I enjoy it. I like top!Lucifer because I love seeing Alastor get railed - especially by a big, powerful demon king. Very yummy.

Also, LOL, considering Alastor is exclusively a bottom to me, anyone I do ship him with will automatically be the top, regardless of who they are XD So I guess that's an important factor to consider too 😂

How They Kiss You: Chamber

Authors note: I am alive!!! I apologize for taking so long on stuff, my life has very recently become very hectic but I promise content is being created ;-; Until one of the bigger pieces is finished, plz enjoy some chamber!

Chamber Kiss Headcanons | X GN Reader

Chamber is a peculiar case when it comes to how he kisses you. And it all depends on whether you've cracked through his persona yet. If you were dating Chamber, or if you were dating Vincent.

If your relationship is new, His kisses are swift and aren't very satisfying, as if he is always rushing to do something else.

Chamber is a busy man, so a swift kiss on the forehead as he leaves to start his day makes sense. When he greets you, he kisses both sides of your cheeks and gives you his signature smile. And when you are leaving, he may press a quick kiss to your lips before ushering you out the door so you aren't late for whatever plans you may have.

He would rarely kiss your lips but would give you pecks and quick kisses if you asked him to.

His kisses never linger and never seem to have much emotion to them. Even if you were to pull him into a gentler kiss, a more needy one, it would seem like he is quick to pull away and press a second to your forehead, possibly cooing about how precious to are or about how cute you seem.

It almost felt performative at times. Fake, even.

And it's because it was. To him, the kisses were to appease you. To sell that your relationship was real despite it benefitting him in some way, shape, or form. He wanted to keep his distance from you but knew that he had to at least give the bare minimum to keep you around. ...

But that all changes the second you break him. The second he realizes just how much he cares about you. That's when Chamber becomes Vincent.

This can happen in multiple ways, but the outcome is always the same. The man who had been keeping you at a distance, completely changes.

Now, his kisses have emotion to them. A need and fire that had been lacking previously before.

He would find himself cupping your cheek as he admires you, watching you talk or do whatever things that brought you happiness, and would just smile before pulling you into a kiss.

Sometimes, he would teasingly lift your chin if you weren't paying attention or got shy. His little chuckle would give away his fondness for you again before pulling you into a shorter kiss, but one still full of love

Deeper kisses now were met with equal eagerness. His hands which would have never held you close, grip your waist or run gently across your lower back as he tilts his head while returning your kiss.

Kissing Vincent never left you wondering if you were being lied to or led on. He never let you question your worth to him. Unlike before when he would have listed your achievements and sang you praise at the first sign of self-doubt, he would just chuckle softly and pull you into another loving kiss to take your worries away.

An adorable couple to some, an annoying couple to other; but all that matters at the end of the day is you two!

He 100% reciprocates your affection no matter what situation you two may be in. Oh, you're hanging out with a friend? What a surprise, Ritsu suddenly appears! Hope they don't mind him clinging onto you (or butting into the conversations uninvited) for the rest of the day.

You cling onto him too anytime you can and by that I mean there are exactly no boundaries on when or how you two could cling onto each other which is quite the trouble for Knights but they never particularly have the guts to do anything about it since Ritsu seems so much happier now that he's with you.

And you're by far one of the worst and the most annoying couple in Izumi's list. He made sure to never tell you too much about Knight's schedule so you won't come and distract Ritsu during practice.

Whenever Izumi complains about you two being lovey dovey, Ritsu just doubles down and tells him he's just jealous that Ritsu 'has an amazing and wonderful partner who loves him' unlike him.

He was beyond offended at Ritsu's remarks but surprisingly it shut him up. He hasn't made any snarky remarks about you two being clingy in front of him anymore for a week.

He reciprocates your affection no matter what. He won't even be bothered if you think you're too heavy to lay on him; he thinks it's better since that way since he really likes feeling your whole weight and body against him. It's comforting for him, and he is sure he won't ever let you go if you didn't first.

On days where neither of you have woek — you'll end up with a rather unproductive day since all you've done was sleeping, waking up to eat (with him clinging onto your back), go to the toilet (with a few complaints from him since he doesn't want to let you go), go back to bed and cuddle with him. But it's a day well spent because it's spent with him, right?

Mandalorian Hair

Hair is an important aspect of Mandalorian culture, and the way that it's wore can tell you a lot (or nothing) about a specific mandalorian.

Short hair (that do not stick out from under the helmet) are considered the most classic and "traditional" style that a mandalorian fighter can wear. When a mando completes their Verd'goten, they get their head completely shaved, signaling that they are now a mandalorian adult, and so, a warrior, to others (when not wearing their beskar'gam). While many let it grow longer as time passes, they still maintain its length shorter than the helmet, but most stop caring about it when they reach retirement, or change their carrier into one that does not require them fighting.

There are also many mandalorians that do not shave their hair or want to keep it longer than their helmet, and this could be for a variety of reasons. It could symbolize them wanting to follow a more peaceful life, away from the traditional warrior ideal, or it could also mean that they prefer to maintain their self expression over tradition (even if they follow all the other aspects of mando tradition), or other reasons.

Shaving/cutting your hair and letting it grow longer are both methods used when it comes to mourning. Cutting your hair to symbolize losing a part of oneself after the death of a loved one, and then letting them grow back longer to symbolize you are healing from the grief, but that things are never gonna be the same as before.

While braiding does not have a specific meaning in mandalorian culture, it is a method used by many, especially by foundlings/those not born into this culture.

In fact, because of this, it's not that common anymore to see mandalorians follow the traditional way the hair is treated, thanks to the thousands of cultures getting integrated in the Mandalorian one.

BEFORE GETTING INTO A RELATIONSHIP

You and Matt would meet through mutual friends at a hangout. Exchanging phone numbers by the end of the night out of bonding over similar interests.

Matt’s sense of humor is one to digest, so he likes how you're able to keep up with him and his banter. But, there are times when his humor is just bullying (affectionate) and it gets you pouty.

"C’mon you know I'm playing. I don't mean any of it.”

The two of you definitely have dinners over at each other's places a few times a month and just do a movie marathon afterwards. and that includes the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Matt would not shut up about making you watch the movies if you've never seen them before. He definitely is the type of fan to be like “did you know…” throughout all of the movies just spewing facts.

Boo and Zeus adore you very much, makes Matt grumbly when they parade around you and only want your attention.

When his vegetables are ready to harvest for the season he gives you some from his garden!

You house sit and dog sit for him whenever he's on tour with Bad Omens. Sending him dog, plant, and garden check ins regularly.

On the front lines for protecting you always! If some asshole dares to put their hands on you or makes comments about your weight matt is there ready to fight back with words and his fist. And it's not because he doesn't think you can't defend yourself, he knows a lot of what you've gone through when it comes to your appearance, he just cares deeply about you and won't tolerate any disrespect towards you.

He's mean. If you're shorter than him he likes to steal an item from you and wave it above your head, making “encouraging” comments about how you can get the item back by lowering it just to yank it back up before you can snag it from his hand. If your taller he'll just take really random but specific items you'll eventually need and hide them and act innocent when you're looking for them. Like if you come over to his house and leave your keys out he'll hide them at the start and by the time you leave he'll just watch you search for them. Very much a dick move on his part but he likes to see you get frustrated, he thinks it's cute.

His list of things he's soft for is very short, but you happen to be on that list. The first time matt ever tells you how much you mean to him, as a friend, you fake being super shocked because he's so annoying and mean at times. But over the course of your friendship he softens up to you and pushes it down, like when the two of you are watching a movie and you keep sneaking closer to him, eventually pressed up against his side with your cheek pressed up against his shoulder. You end up falling asleep like that while the movie is still playing, and when it ends and Matt calls your name without an answer he looks to see your precious face slumped against him fast asleep with soft snores coming from your mouth and he just looks back to the movie title cards with a smile. He stays as still as possible to let you sleep, and that's the moment that it would all click in place for him.

When Matt confesses his feelings for you it was very spontaneous, for him and you. You had gone over to his place after work since it's on the way home and matt wanted to show you some new flowers he planted in his backyard.

“They’re really pretty, Matty.” You compliment the flowers, caressing on of the petals between your fingers.

“I think you're really pretty.” Matt blurts out.

You whip your head around to stare at him, thinking you heard him wrong.

“What?”

“I really like you. I have for awhile and it's taken me awhile to accept that, not because of anything pertaining to you, you're fucking flawless. I just don't want to fuck anything up between us by confessing my feelings,” you stare intently at him, waiting for him to continue. “You're a beautiful person, inside and out. And it makes me feel selfish that I want you all to myself, but I can't live with regret for not telling you how I feel.” He looks pale from his ramble, and you almost reach your hand out to touch his forehead to see if he's gone cold too.

“Please, say something.” He begs.

“I just- you've never been that sweet before and now you're begging me.” You joke, trying to make light of his confession to make it easier on you and him.

He groans your name. “Now's not the time for jokes, I just confessed and it's not looking too bright for me.”

You smile at worry, finding it cute. “I like you too Matt. You're so worried about me, but you don't realize that you're also charming. In you're own way, I might add, but it was pretty hard to not fall for you."

The two of you just stay staring at each other, mirroring each other with huge dorky smiles until you slowly inch closer. matt's hand find its way on your cheek.

"Can I?"

"Just kiss me already." You urge.

The kiss is soft and it makes you feel giddy when you two pull apart. Still embracing each other with your foreheads touching. Boo and Zeus erupt into the zoomies quickly after around the backyard, barking after each other.

Matt turns his head to them. "Yeah, I know. I got the girl, bubs." He gushes, looking back to you to leave another small kiss on your lips.

DURING RELATIONSHIP

Matt really isn't one to do super showy dates. But he's finally asking you to officially be his girlfriend and he wants it to be memorable, something the two of you can recount on when you tell your kids and grandkids about the official moment he made you his. All that Matt would tell you is to be ready by 7 for your dinner reservations at 7:30 and to be your cute self for him to pick you up, keeping the full date a mystery to you. And when you swing the door open to reveal yourself, he has the air taken from his lungs and fully considering cancelling plans.

"These are for you pretty." Handing you the bouquet of your favorite flowers.

You smile, pulling him in for a quick kiss. "Thank you, Matty." Thanking him while your lips are still barely touching each others.

He looks down between your bodies, wanting to fully see you. "Give me a spin. Want to see you, Baby." He ask, the taste of your sweet lipgloss still on his lips.

You back up, giving him a spin with the flowers in your hand, complimenting the dress you're wearing.

"You like? Haven't gotten a chance to wear this dress yet."

"You know I love everything you wear with your sexy self."

He ends up taking you to a nice dinner at a nice restaurant to start out with. And now you two walk hand in hand, bellies full and content through the botanical garden. You gaze at everything in awe. It being nighttime the garden has light fixtures throughout to accentuate the florals and plants in the dark. The wander and enjoyment in your face is enough to keep Matt happy while the two of you walk, sometimes stopping when you want to take a pretty picture of a plant or Matt to show off his knowledge on certain plants. You stop by a fountain to stop for a moment.

"We should through a penny in." You say, reaching for your purse.

"A penny?"

"Yeah, like wish on a penny and then throw it in a fountain," explaining it to Matt. "It may come true." You tease.

Both of you wish on a penny and threw it into the fountain to meet with all the other coins at the bottom.

"What did you wish for?" He ask.

"That's the one thing you're not supposed to say. You of all people should know this."

"Yeah." He agrees, looking around to see if anyone else was near by, turning back to you when he spotted no one. "Well, I wished that you'd be my girlfriend."

He's not overtly into PDA, but he does love to have his hands on you at all times. Wether it's his arm that's slung over your shoulders, a hand on your thigh, an arm gripping tight on your plush hip, his knee pressed into yours as your sit next to each other, hands interlaced, or a hand on the small of your back. He's just always going to have to be touching you in some way.

It's amplified when the two of you are alone, he's coming up behind you at all times, hands sneaking around your waist and his head pushed into the crook of your neck, pressed up against each other on the couch with your legs on his lap, you pressed against his chest listening to his heart beat, or his secret personal favorite his head in your lap while you play with his hair.

Matt's nicknames for you are Baby, Babe, and Bubby, he uses them pretty interchangeably and they just roll off his tongue easily.

Matt loves cooking for you, and also with you if you enjoy cooking! He indulges in your cravings with you so you never fall into the guilt of simply having a craving for a certain food or snack.

Insecurities are normal, he knows this, and tries his best to help you through those moments whenever you're feeling down about yourself. Reminding you that your are far more than you appearance and that people who dare judge you are assholes who will never get to experience of knowing such a smart, driven, resilient, and gorgeous person you are. He truly sees you as the most flawless person and loves gushing about you to whoever will or won't listen because he just adores you so much and finds you so beautiful, sexy, and hot. He won't take a lot of shit from the guys, but he will take their teasing about how whipped he is for you because he really is and he is not afraid to admit it. Just like when Matt confessed his feelings for you, the first time he says I Love You was also out of the blue. He wasn't having a very good week, and was pretty stressed from an upcoming tour, he now's he can console in you but you had recently expressed how you're also feeling stressed from your job and he just didn't want you to become even more overwhelmed. But, he had spent the entire day away from the house and when he came home to the dogs at his feet and a now, clean home and the smell of food cooking he was at a loss of words.

"In the kitchen." He hears you yell out.

Taking off his hat and shoes, giving Boo and Zeus their scratches, he stumbled his way to the kitchen where you're cooking.

"I had a half day today, so I decided to stop by because I know, we'll figured, you've been pretty stressed lately with the tour coming up. Cleaned up and I'm finishing up dinner."

When you don't hear a reply you turn your head over your shoulder, thinking maybe Matt wasn't in the kitchen yet, but he was.

"You okay?" Fully turning around to look at him, watching as he makes his way towards you and takes you into his arms.

"I love you." It's said with such adoration behind his eyes.

Is more than happy to teach you the drums when you shyly ask him if he can.

↳ Leviathan

◆ the burning pain was enough to wake him up. leviathan couldn't breathe, and he couldn't think. so he panicked, grabbing his d.d.d and calling the first person on his list while he tried to calm himself down. ◇ leviathan couldn't tell who it was who did come in to help him, but when they did he just clings to them. comfort, warmth, family, here and alive. all the things he couldn't feel from you. whoever came held him even tighter while he blubbered from too many emotions and fear. ◆ when it gets to be too much the loss of the pact mark and just feeling you just brush back when he needed it the most. it seeps into his bones, leviathan feels cold and lost like he's somehow fallen once again. he does what helps him feel the safest-- hides away.

↳ Satan

◆ it almost feels like he is being skinned alive, with how you are torn away from him. with the pact missing, you're no longer just a touch away to be felt-- he feels wrath like he hasn't since he was born. ◇ his wrath is quiet, it is carefully moving beneath his skin. satan sees how each of his brothers slowly one by one seeks out one another. your loss is felt by each one of them, a void that none of them can feel you through. ◆ some days are harder than others, and satan feels the small spot inside of him that held you so close to his heart just-- close itself off to not feel hurt, but sometimes when he swears that he could feel the tug of you calling for him.

↳ Asmodeus

◆ watching the mirror break right before him, followed by how his soul feels as if it's being torn apart. the pact he shares with you feels so, so faint he fears the worst. ◇ the worst being that you died. alone, away from him, away from everyone who loves you, but-- he can sometimes feel your warmth when he reaches out. ◆ as comforting as that should be faint warmth and whispers of you still being alive are cold comfort. even if he can just barely feel you... he wouldn't be able to help you wherever you may be.

◆ beelzebub drops everything and moves. transformed, and in pain, he runs home, he looks, and he looks, but he cannot find you. his whole self hurts, his heart most of all. another, another person he loves is-- no. no just because he couldn't feel you didn't mean that you were dead. ◇ the world around him seems to move so slowly, but he eventually stumbles to the planetarium to find belphegor curled in on himself, and the moment belphie says that he can't feel you. that you're just... gone beelzebub breaks down with him. ◆ beelzebub can't sleep, but belphie tries to help him. nothing tastes right, nothing looks right when he eats and his brothers worry even more. nobody knows what's going on-- nobody can find you and beelzebub blames himself for not being able to keep you safe. his brothers say differently they all failed, but... none of them has failed to keep a loved one safe as he had.

↳ Belphegor

◆ belphegor wishes that he was asleep when he felt it because it would have hurt less in a dream (or so he thinks). to be awake, to be gazing at the stars to watch one suddenly blink out of existence followed by pain-- it was excruciating. ◇ just like the star, you had vanished, taking a piece of belphegor with you. and when beel stumbles into belphegor's sight... he crumbles. the two of them breaking down together. ◆ even when belphegor sleeps he doesn't feel at peace, but some nights... he can see you or he thinks he might. the dreams are always fuzzy, but in those dreams, it feels like you're right there with him. that somehow you're safe even if none of them can find you, much less feel the bond each pact has made with you.

— straight up fluff, nothing else. PART 1/2

— Caspian introducing you to him as a friend, and Edmund being absolutely awestruck by everything about you so much so that he forgets to even tell you his name. He is visibly blushing and stuttering, unable to meet your eyes.

— Him slowly becoming more comfortable with physical touch, but ONLY if it's coming from you. But once he gets comfortable, he's always trying to find an excuse to be closer to you.

— "Accidental" hand touches (which are totally on purpose) when both of you are reaching for the same book. Then getting flustered and immediately pulling away before reaching for the same book once more and brushing hands AGAIN.

— Reciting Shakespearean quotes to each other. You two can have a whole conversation with just quotes from Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, or even A Midsummer Night’s Dream. But the quotes just keep getting more and more suggestive until you're both just absentmindedly flirting with each other without even realizing it because it just seems so natural.

— Him teaching you how to play chess, which ends up being a mistake once you two have your first chess game. Because he just ends up staring at your concentrated face, thinking you're the most beautiful thing he's ever laid his eyes upon. So he just absolutely FUMBLES. Putting his king in danger, not taking your free bishops, trading off his queen, etc. But he's okay with it because it just means he'll get to see your face light up once you realize you're winning.

— Eye contact across a crowded room. His eyes just naturally gravitate towards the most alluring thing in the room.. which happens to be you. And exchanging smiles once you realize he's staring at you. The amount of hours he's spent admiring you from afar.. he can't keep count.

— If you happen to be shorter than him, every single insecurity about his height VANISHES. The height difference ends up being a great source of enjoyment for him. He's never really the tallest in the room, so he gets some sort of pride and confidence from the height difference, even if you're only an inch shorter than him. Either way, the teasing will be astronomical.

— Him finding a way to touch you one way or the other. Picking a petal out of your hair, comparing hand sizes, or sharing an umbrella. He'll make an excuse like, "My hands are so cold, feel them." but he doesn't pull his hand away.

— Hang out's that start to feel more and more like dates. Because what kind of "best friends" lie their head in the other's lap while reading, or cuddle in the library, or give each other "TOTALLY PLATONIC AND FRIENDLY" kisses on the nose and cheeks?

— His siblings noticing that he smiles a LOT more often around you. Like he's full on blushing and fidgeting.. a blind man could tell that he likes you. Peter always finds a way to tease him about it.

— Lucy being his wingwoman because YES.

— Susan, Lucy, and Peter making bets on the two of you. Like who's going to confess first, who will initiate the first kiss, and even who will propose first. Mind you, these bets were all placed BEFORE the two of you started dating.

— Him not even realizing that he's gushing about you. Like you're all he ever talks about. Always managing to bring you into a conversation. Like, "oh, Y/N would love that." or "Y/N loves that story too. She has an impeccable taste in books, doesn't she?" He makes it wayyy to obvious..

— Unsent letters. UNSENT LETTERS. Hear me out. Him just pouring out his feelings for you, and everything he loves about you, and describing every minuscule detail about your appearance, and writing a list of your favorite things. And he laminates them and everything, writes your name on the top of the letter as if he's going to give it to you, but he never does. So his stack of letters about you, and only you, are always growing on a never-ending pile on his desk.

— Star-gazing to clear your minds, with one of his arms wrapped around your shoulder. Except his eyes aren't looking at the stars, they're trained on you, thinking about how beautiful you look in the pale moonlight.

Little Things (Simon "Ghost" Riley + Reader "Crash") Platonic Headcanons

Part Three to Rough Start & Olive Branch

a/n: hey hey! been a minute, sorry about that ;-; also sorry that this is a bit shorter than usual but i might write some small fics about a few of these headcanons in the future. should be posting again sometime soon though! thank you so much for reading!

Being friends with Ghost is like putting a puzzle together except all of the pieces are scattered. Finding some of them would bring you delight and while others give you a better understanding of the man. Throughout your long years of friendship, you come to an understanding that there will be pieces of him that you will never get to see, some forever gone. And yet, even if the puzzle is incomplete, you had most of it together. You’d rather have that than nothing at all

That being said, your first year with the team was quite good, besides the constant threat of almost dying and a certain member of the team being mean for almost half of it

But after bonding over knife throwing and tea for the last couple months, you and Ghost have grown close. To him, at least. From your perspective, after getting your new callsign, you felt like your relationship with him hasn’t progressed much

However, it’s the little things that you’ve noticed with him:

Like making your tea in the early morning. Half of the time you would join him and other times when your nightmares don’t show up, he’d leave your mug in the microwave

Knowing that you were raised in the Rocky Mountains, it kind of surprised him to learn that you hate the cold. So during missions in colder climates, after watching you shiver like a wet cat, he’d give you his extra pair of balaclava and gloves.

“It’s a little big on me” “Fine, give it back then” “No >:( “ 

Another thing that he does for you is taking your first watch during missions. In the first couple months when you joined, Soap and Gaz had a list of “Rookie Responsibilities” and of course one of them was to take the first watch. It wasn’t really mandatory but being a people pleaser, you did it anyway. 

It went well at first but in the last couple months, Ghost noticed that you, in his words, looked like shit after missions. And of course, you’d volunteer for the first watch. Sometimes, when it was his turn, he’d find you somehow looking worse, giving him the frog blink and thumbs up, before watching you immediately pass out on the cot or couch. 

You’d make a fuss when he would take the first watch and he had to basically pull rank to force you to go to sleep

Still calls you Rook/Rookie besides your callsign. Would sometimes call you Tiny and Mini-Me just to piss you off

Isn’t a surprise but Ghost is really observant. Knows your nervous ticks and honestly reads your emotions well. He didn’t do it before but he does check up on you 

Head pats is a thing that he does. Used to do it to his nephew and Joseph would look up to him with his cheeks puffed and whining “Uncle Si!”. You’d have the same reaction except with calling him Uncle Si, you’d usually say “Ghost, what the fuck”

You find out that Ghost doesn’t like talking about family and Christmas. Hearing some bits of info from Price, it broke your heart to learn about the reasons why he’d always gone on missions during the holiday. But at the same time, you understood him

You kind of do the same thing, taking on missions instead of going on leave. Kind of surprised Ghost when hears that he’s going to get paired up and with you of all people

“I figured you’re the type to celebrate the holidays” “Oh, I am, Just didn’t want to see my dad, that’s all.”

He opens his mouth to comment but chooses to not say anything at all. He gives you a nod instead. Ghost understands your family dynamic, it mirrors his.

Would copy his accent to make fun of him over coms. Yes, it was very bad but it did make the team giggle. He hits you back with an equally horrible American accent that made you cry

He accidentally told you one of his favorite dishes during a stake out. He was listening to you talk on coms about how much you missed pizza and how you can’t wait to go back to base to make some, silently nodding in agreement. 

“I would kill for a bubble and squeak right about now,” he thinks out loud, not realizing that his coms were on He became slightly concerned when heard you stop talking for a moment, before repeating to him, “A bubble and squeak?!” Even without seeing you, he can tell you had a big grin on your face, “I’m gonna keep quiet.” “No no, LT. I’m not making fun of you,” you assured him, “Tell me, what’s a bubble and squeak?” Ghost lets out an audible sigh before he gives you an explanation, “Basically mix some leftover mash, vegetables and roast and then fry it up in a pan." "Holy shit , that sounds delicious.”

Taught him some gen z slang because you notice that he would eavesdrop during your conversations with Soap and Gaz sometimes

Share the same type of humor. When you, Soap and Ghost got separated in Las Almas, they would hear you cackle on coms

Both of you wear your balaclavas as a second skin and would forget to take it off sometimes. Would sit in silence together as the rest of the team roast you for getting your masks wet with tea

Crash : “I have no soul. Have a nice day! :) “ Ghost : “I don’t have one either.”

Honestly, he finds you annoying but in a good way. Having you talk to him gives him the comfort that the relationship is improving but at the same time, he wants to smack you upside the head

That’s when he realize how much you remind him of his brother

When the queen died, Ghost wasn’t too upset. That is until you reminded him that Charles is now king

Due to some previous events, you’re the one driving Ghost everywhere when you guys hang out. Is offended when you straight up tell him that he has shit driving skills. 

Calls him Passenger Princess as a joke

Ghost is more into books than movies. So it does come as a shock that he mentions that he hasn’t seen the LOTRs movies. You basically force him (and the rest of the team) into a movie marathon for a day. He grumbles about how some of the scenes are different from the book but he does get into it during the Mountains of Moria

Impressed with how you handle your liquor. Watched you beat Soap and Gaz in a drinking contest before drunkenly demanding chicken nuggets and then passing out

Ghost is surprisingly decent at video games. During game nights, he’d beat everyone at Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. You accuse him of cheating and of course, he denies it. Had to be held back by Price as you repeated “These hands are rated E for Everyone.”

Your face wasn’t a mystery to him or to anyone in the team. You took your mask off regularly around them. But like many others, you saw his face in Mexico. There was a greater sense of trust that you felt when you made eye contact with him. He gave you a soft smile and you returned it

"Huh, didn't think you'd be a blondie," You remarked as you both head towards the truck "Didn't think you'd be short but here we are," Ghost jokes back

He will never admit it in front of you that he's sees you as more than friends. That you have the best qualities from his family; his mother's compassion and his brother's humor and determination. Hell, at some points, you even resemble Joseph with your optimism.

He has someone to call family again
