sure, it's a little OOC because as we all know, matt murdock radiates charisma, charm and everything good that makes a person want to buckle to their knees. but, you cannot tell me that matt would get nervous around someone he likes-- someone he has a crush on where you both have been going back and forth for ages without any real progress.

what about when frank, for example, asks him how you two are going? matt's ears would go bright pink, he'd go flustered, he probably wouldn't know what to say because the question has him a little off guard.

matt's shy in all of the good ways, but when it really matters, he's not afraid to show you exactly how he feels.

you couldn't do anything about this stupid disease anyways, so what was the point of even trying?

you heaved up clusters and clusters and clusters of ugly bright red petals, their sickly sweet scent making its way up to your nose. you felt so fucking nauseous and dizzy. the fragrant miasma of flowers overwhelmed you. you wanted to vomit or cry or die or anything but cough up these dumb stupid flowers.

the flowers flopped onto your floor--your newly polished floor-- ungracefully, covered in slick mucus and freshly coated in splatters of blood. they smeared the previously pristine tiling with blood, the iron stench of it mixing with the flowers and filling up the entire room. you just wanted the disease to kill you already. if it was going to either way, why make you suffer?

after what felt like hours and hours and hours and hours of coughing and heaving and choking, the flowers finally stopped fucking coming. you took shaky shallow breathes, trying to ground yourself.

your palms stung, and you looked down to realize you had been digging your nails into the palms of your hand almost strong enough to draw blood.

your gaze trailed up to the stupid fucking flowers.

upon closer inspection, you realized they were spider lilies. red ones.

his favorite flowers.

too bad you hated them.

his eyes were the same exact color of the flowers you had just coughed up.

blade sat two seats in front of you and one to the right, and whenever you saw him you couldn't help but wonder why you had fallen for him.

he was always so indifferent and cold. sure there might've been something warmer under his icy exterior, but you weren't the type of person to go dig through someone's cold attitude just to find out what they were actually like.

but some days you wished you knew what was under that cold front of his.

you'd barley come out of your room to stretch your legs or go to the bathroom or even eat.

the spider lilies were killing you from the inside out. of course you had to have hanahaki for someone who probably hated you, if he even knew you existed, that is.

and, on top of that, out of all flowers, the ones you coughed up had to be toxic.

if just hacking up the flowers was bad, the nausea they caused because of being toxic was worse. you couldn't even go five minutes without feeling abdominal pain and nausea.

ugh.

why did he feel like this? why did his heart beat so fast when this random ass person passed by?

he gritted his teeth.

"kafka," he grumbled, barley glancing in her direction.

kafka glanced up from her book, setting it down elegantly and tucking a strand of mauve hair behind her ear, adjusting the tinted glasses sitting atop her head in the process.

"yes, bladie?" she grinned a little, and blade could only groan in irritation.

"who's that?" he muttered, gesturing towards the person he had been thinking about earlier.

"why?" kafka mused. "you've never been interested in learning others' names before now. what's changed?"

"nothing," he muttered gruffly, crossing his arms across his chest. his ears felt hot and his heart was beating faster and he was getting butterflies and he didn't know why.

kafka grinned, eyes glinting with amusement.

"ooh, i think someone has a crush."

"no."

"okay, let's go talk to them then bladie."

"no!"

"why not? is it cause you like them?"

"..fine. let's go talk to them."

your head fell forward a little. another sleepless night of coughing up flowers didn't bring you any good.

suddenly, your eyes snapped open.

was that.. blade? walking towards you? with kafka?

no, it probably wasn't. you were probably just sleep deprived and hallucinating or something.

but then you smelt the strong and unmistakable scent of anise, too real to be your imagination.

How do you think the story would've turned if Genya was the sun summoner instead of Alina? Do you think she would've had a romantic or sexual relationship with the Darkling?

I would love for Genya to be the Sun Summoner, anon! It's such a cool, interesting AU.

Genya was a very clever, a very brave person and politically aware of what was happening that saw the big picture. Aleksander would be ecstatic with her. And, yes, anon they would have a sexual relationship. Genya had confessed to Alina that she would get that dick if only she wasn't just an ordinary Grisha. If she were the Sun Summoner she would have no qualms to get on with it. I believe Aleksander would feel the same but for a different reason: sleeping with her would make her feel more bonded with him.

For a romantic relationship I'm not that sure. Love is complicated and I don't think these two would reach that level.

(by the way, I'm talking about S&B!Genya)

Oh hell yes I would. I would know that my boss who acts and looks so masculine, is actually a submissive man behind doors. He acts all tough in front of the world, but in front of me, he's kneeling on his knees, in front of me, hard and dumb, wanting nothing but to be used by mommy. The way he reacts when I validate and appreciate him, shifting in his seat during meetings, him whimpering a little when I accidently spill my drink onto his pants amd kneel down to clean it. The way he reacts when I take charge in the boardroom, and the way his eyes sparkle, he wants the same in the bedroom.

(It's really just because he's shy. Being all sexy and intimidating to keep people from thinking they can get all close to him.

do you have any advice/tips for posting art on tumblr for the first time?

I’m not new from twitter, I just don’t wanna fuck up somehow

really the two keys to posting art is 1. knowing how to use tags, and 2. having a dedicated art blog

tumblr only tracks the first 20 tags on a post, everything after that is Just For Funsies. tracked tags will show up in search, both for the whole website and on your blog.

if you're not sure what tags to use, see what other popular posters are using! i think i mentioned this in my tumblr guide post, but generally you want to tag fandom, characters, ships (if applicable), and any AUs or similar things. oh, and content warnings if those apply, too. then if you want you can try stuff like mediums and other general tags, that'd be your #art, #illustration, #fanart, #fanfic, #digital art, #(program you used), etc etc. you don't really have to use those, but if you want to keep your blog Super Extra Organized or if you're posting original content with no fandom tags to lean on then they are good options. (you can use things like #ocs, #original characters, #character design, #concept art, and genre tags for those!)

really tagging comes down to: if i wanted to find content like this post, what tags would I look in?

You want to have a dedicated art blog so you can keep your art front and center, if people have to dig to see your art or you post a lot of content they aren't familiar with aside from your art, they are less likely to stick around or follow you! this goes for all social medias really, not just tumblr. it's okay to make the occasional non-art related post, you don't have to completely separate art and artist here, but if you have an art blog you want it to be 95% things pertaining to your work. I have a main blog where I post everything that isn't my art, but occasionally I will reblog important things here or share other artists work because it's good that artists support each other :D

TL;DR - Get familiar with tumblr's tagging system and what the popular tags are for the types of artwork you want to post, and have a dedicated art blog! 💖

Bonus tip: Not everyone is online at the same time, and many people don't scroll to the bottom of their dashboards to catch up on every post they missed. You can schedule your posts so you post consistently at the same times, and you can schedule a reblog of your post later in the day. I for example will make all relevant art posts at 12PM CST, and I set the post to reblog at 8PM CST. The tumblr userbase is more active in the evenings, so if you don't post around that time it's definitely good to reblog things then!
