Internal Oblique: linchpin of the lateral line? Everybody wants six packs, but what about those love handles??? Most AK texts say abdominals relate to small intestine but I disagree. I think the internal oblique relates to the gallbladder channel. Either way, I’m finding it super important to connect with this muscle more and more, which has an interesting relationship / connection to Quadratus Lumborum (QL) as well! Depicted in anterior view A thought came up: what if so much low back pain is because QL is not working in the frontal plane enough? The two opposing lateral images in this slide-set are the same running model, but not just flipped. They are the different sides of the body. Notice anything? Check out those triangles. Location, size, direction, other shapes Interesting to note for myself in illustrating this was the posterior fibers of the internal oblique appear to run more toes to nose (vertically) than obliquely. I didn’t know that. the highlight of my valentines day was waiting in an almost empty parking lot at 10 o clock at night for my sushi to be done and watching a kid sitting cross legged on a skateboard come speeding around the sidebend and zooming all the way across the parking lot to the grocery store. what an absolute madlad.

like. i'm so frustrated. yoga instructors, my physical therapist, my d.o., everyone has said 'don't do anything that causes you pain, if it causes you pain then it's not beneficial and will cause more harm' k well laying down, sitting perfectly still, the act of standing up, standing, the act of sitting down, and taking a step are among the things that bring me pain so what now mf like i literally did two basic stretches sitting on my couch (by basic i mean a sitting sidebend and then hugging my shoulders) and it's further pissed off the neck and shoulders muscles that haven't stopped hurting at a 6/10 since i got those botox injections to 'help' my neck and upper back pain, which i wasn't forewarned can cause worsened muscle stiffness and-get this-NECK PAIN as side effects
