one of my favorite big time rush things is when they have a big action scene and one of their songs is playing in the background, but the one they use is COMPLETELY unfitting. like theyll start getting chased around and then all of a sudden boyfriend starts playing and it just does not at all match the energy of the scene and they know it and its hilarious. this show is perfect in every possible way.

My softest muse is definitely Vick. He's a 0 on the toughness scale, he's a big teddy bear and he will choose kindness over anything else at any point.

My toughest muse is probably Barbie. Girl is tough as nails and will not be stopped if she puts her mind to something. She doesn't take pain as a reason to stop and will go harder when it hurts.

2) Which Muse would blow through $1000 quickly?

Valentino, hands down. He spends $1,000 every day easily on things he doesn't even need. He loves to buy expensive things and will do so at all hours. He especially loves spending Vox's money. $1,000 is a drop in the bucket for him and he doesn't even notice spending it.

3) Do any of them have nicknames? Is there a meaning behind them?

Quite a few of them do!

Valentino answers to Bunny from his lovers, it's a subspace trigger word for him. I assigned him Bunny because he's Cute And Horny, aka a rabbit, and a bunny sub is fairly common.

4) Are any of them up-to-speed on the latest trends? Anyone more old school?

Velvette, Vox, and Valentino are obsessed with always being on top of the next new thing.

Alastor hates new things and will fight them as much as he can.

5) Who has the best relationship with their siblings?

Valentino had a fairly good relationship with his siblings when he was alive. He had seven of them, plus three live-in cousins that were like his siblings.

6) Karaoke night! Who is likely to grab the mic first and bust out a tune?

Beelzebub, Ozzie, Valentino, and Ostello! They all love to sing and party, and they're all pretty good at it. Ostello was a pop-jazz singer when he was alive and before he died in Hell, too!

7) Who is least likely to enter a beauty pageant/model?

Gretchen. She doesn't think that she's very pretty, and would just feel embarrassed even going to watch.

Travis. He is constantly told he's very ugly, and he doesn't have a very high opinion of his looks.

8) If your Muses visited a haunted house where actors scare you, who would panic and who would be unfazed?

Chazz, Gretchen, Charlie, Anya, Magpie, Summer, Travis, and Vick would be the easiest to scare!

Valore, Dimas, Cash, Glitz, Stu, Paimon, Alastor, Darío, Niffty, and Vox would be the hardest to phase.

9) Are any of your Muses particular about taking certain modes of transportation?

Vox prefers to be driven around and doesn't like driving himself.

Valentino only likes to drive occasionally and prefers pretty sports cars when he does.

unfortunate when youre looking for something so specific that detailed trigger warnings still dont actually convey whether its triggering or not like at all. Many such cases.

#songs that the hyades shall sing #idk like. sometimes graphic onscreen depictions of violence carry infinitely less pain than one throwaway joke in a lighthearted comedy #due to The Implications and like. realism vs genre play.#and theres also a? camp scale involved for lack of a better term #like theres lotsa goofy classic who that is technically extremely violent kidnapping/bondage/torture and has every whump tag under the sun #but is still not Actually that serious even on a watsonian level not just bc the effects are bad enough to see through but bc of genre play #(like jo/master interactions which on paper are atrocious but onscreen jo herself thinks are plain silly)#vs a lot of movies where not that much is actually happening point by point but its so real it makes you sick irl #like a character who's mildly creepy but in the Exact same way of someone irl youve had a bad experience with #or when nothing is actually Happening at all in scene but theres casual affirmation of normie social violence like hobo & loony bin jokes

I miss the goofy sincerity of 80s movies.

#brain soup #my dad and stepmom insist upon ‘80s movie education’ and just… they’re fun and goofy but earnest about it #like yeah they’re made for money but at least some of the people working on them we’re having a lot of fun #like the movies were goofy and wouldn’t take themselves too seriously but would still know when to tone it down and just have a more #heartfelt moment. like there was no winking and nudging the camera if one decided to settle for a minute or two. and the fun silly scenes #we’re allowed to be fun and silly and still move the plot and show the theme.#like think of Goonies. really fun movie but even the silly moments are still honest fun and serve to build the characters and the importance #of their friendships.#I dunno. we were talking at dinner and I just sorta realized that that sorta energy is missing from the current movies I’ve seen.#besides Willy’s Wonderland and murder mysteries(Puero and Knives Out movies).#like obviously not all 80s movie were goofy or anything. but there was still more heart there.

ok i just finished watching all the potc movies. 4 was just as bad as everyone ive talked about the movies with warned me it would be, 5 was eh.. like i dont necessarily think it was *good* but i still had fun watching so i liked it more than 4 (where i was honestly falling asleep half the time)

#only highlights of 4 were uhhhh gibbs being there and that one scene of the mermaids thats it #5 was just fucking goofy up until the end where they killed my goat 😢#also paul mccartney singing maggie mae was sooo silly but not cus it was him but because thats a bootstrappers song :3c #and its like my favorite one and im mad everyday they didnt include it on their skullduggers album #i think my biggest problem w 4 was there was waaaay too much focus on romance #and thats not coming from like a ewww yucky love perspective or anything its just that it GOT IN THE WAY #like idk i feel like blackbeard never got the chance to be really intimidating or cool cus hes overshadowed by the TWO SEPARATE love plots #the movie to me just felt like 2 hours of literally nothing happening #anyway hehahahahehehe #rambling #still not tagging anything grr sue me

up to ep 8 of j*k and so far the 'jokes' are wayyy too frequent and create such tonal and emotional whiplash lmao

APPA ACTUALLY LOOKS GOOD AND NOT LIKE A LITERAL MONSTER

i wasn’t sure how id feel about them showing the air nomad massacre but i think the importsnt thing is that they showed it was a massacre - and that although they can defend themselves, they don’t have the ability to fight back like an organised army would bc they’re pacifists! they attacked a peaceful group

the abandoned fire nation ship in the southern water tribe looks so fucking cool

ARTIST ZUKO???!!! LETS GOOO

Dallas does an amazing job at getting across Zuko’s intense desperation

I actually ended up loving all the Sokka and Suki interactions sm it was so cute and wholesome

Katara is perfect i will kill and die for her

Azula’s opening scene being her manipulating those people trying kill ozai ultimately leading them to getting burned alive by him and smiling - literally so fucking good. she is the best villain in history of forever

really good move having the mechanist (Sai!) and Teo be in Omashu imo. having them destroy the northern Air Temple so carelessly always pissed me off

THE FREEDOM FIGHTERS ARE LITERALLY PERFECT I AM SCREAMINGGGG

I was wondering how they were going to introduce the Mechanist and Jet in a limited amount of episodes but I like how they combined the two stories

Also Sokka absolutely nerding out in the Mechanist’s home is so important to me

Zuko getting has ass beat by that lady for fighting Aang is literally so funny and reminiscent of the goofy aang vs zuko fights we see in season 1 (to be clear: i adore zuko. this is NOT hate on him)

Zuko losing shit about his notebook and trashing his room and then outing himself as a fire bender in Omashu is so perfect. god i love him so much. it’s very season 1 zuko. it’s giving I DONT NEED ANY CALMING TEA!!!

things i was not a fan of: (some of these are a little pedantic i’ll admit)

Exposition is a little is a little janky but i’ll forgive it i guess bc at least it isn’t egregious as The Movie That Shall Not Be Named

Aang leaving just to get fresh air/clear his head and intending to come back is a silly change to me. all i keep thinking about is the storm where we got those epic Zuko and Aang parallels which now doesn’t really work and also takes away a lot of Aang’s depth. A good change adds to the story, but personally this seems to take it away

WHY would they not make Katara the one to bring him back from the avatar state? just seems like a strange choice to me? not saying this from a shipping point at all but that moment is a big step to their bond/friendship especially since they have only just met

Still don’t understand why they made the head of the village Suki’s mum. like i don’t think it’s a terrible choice but they still could have let them have a mother/daughter bond but still let Suki be the leader without any implications of nepotism. it mostly seeems silly
