Fun Fact: All the fins on the Silvertip Shark have distinctive visible white tips. Their eyes have a tapetum lucidum, enabling them to see in dark murky waters and to see up to 10 times more accurately than humans in clear water!

i'm gonna have to go with epaulette shark!! the big circle on their side is pretty telling

i also thought of zebra sharks but their markings is exactly what causes the whole zebra shark vs leopard shark thing

there's also the whole set of white tip/black tip/blacknose/silver tip sharks, their markings are also very clear on who they are!!

Today it is the Everett Silvertips vs the Spokane Chiefs!! <- returning to us from absolute WAXING they gave the Rockets last Wednesday <3 it was 1-10! <3

They play just over an hour from now. Hanging out in #wntd lb !! and as always I pick some rooting interests so they can embarrass me by falling over sillystyle!! Experience Major Junior Hockey :3

For Everett: #11 Carter Bear 🐻 (draft eligible). Clips of interest: here, here. He scores and he hits and that’s really the gist of it. This draft class, again, is not considered the deepest. I’ll be honest I’ve heard plenty about this guy being a mid-season riser on peoples draft boards and thats super cool because who doesn’t enjoy an underdog !! but i just like that his last name is Bear 🐻. <3

*you may hear buzz on broadcast about a kid named Landon DuPont. He’s not eligible for draft until 2027 so I’m gonna shelf the vibe check for now. We will revisit down the line.

🦈 Daily Shark Fact: 🦈

Silvertip Sharks, not to be confused with the Whitetip shark (ALL the fins of silvertips have white on them, but whitetips do not), are quite mobile. They exhibit fidelity to certain areas, with reports of territorial behavior. Individual silvertip sharks behave very aggressively towards one another, and many are heavily scarred. They are also reported to dominate Galapagos sharks and Blacktip sharks of equal size when competing for food.

Actually wait I just remembered my first confirmed swear. I was 3 years old. My parents decided to get a christmas tree from a farm instead of a nursery in town, and they promised I could pick the tree out, except I picked I tree and my mom went "hm :\" which triggered a half hour or so shouting match between them which included a saw being thrown. Embarassed and a little worried cops would be called my parents packed me up and left, no tree in tow. The car ride home is completely silent, thick with tension, until my angelic toddler voice pipes up with, "I just want a fucking christmas tree!"
