Just set up by my friend Kiwi and I, we're looking for fellow simmers who simply wish to play their sims games and to share their legacy families and challenges. Whatever version of that game it may be at the time. So while we love cc creators and pose-based stories this is only for folks who wanna take that work out of the game. We're just here to play!

Fun fact: the name John isn't actually a short version of Jonathan, as one might think. Instead, it's the English version of the Hebrew name Yoḥanan, meaning "G-d has freely given", roughly. Jonathan is also of Hebrew origin, meaning "G-d has gifted", more or less.

The h in John is actually a remains from the ח in the name it came from - a letter that isn't present in Jonathan. Which actually explains why Jon as a nickname for Jonathan shouldn't have an h in it.

The interesting part comes when you realize that the reason both names start so similarly is because they both are theophoric names that start with G-d's name - and I do mean the Name, not the Hebrew word for god. Other names that are similar include Joachim, Joshua (technically Jesus as well), and possibly a couple of other names that are common in English.

This leads to the conclusion that Jo is the most common way to transcribe G-d's name in English. Which is kind of funny, because in the Mishnah, on one occasion when G-d's Name sort of needs to be uttered, the stand in written is "Yose", a common shortening of Joseph during that time. So, kind of like Joe.

Update: We ended up getting confirmation that this person did steal three accounts and that we got one back.

I just want to emphasize the fact that making multiple reports will eventually get them discords attention, and perhaps keep them from continuing these actions - and bring attention to the fact that discord accounts are extremely centered in online lives. It can connect to console and PC accounts, social medias, and emails. And if they have *your* email, it can be very dangerous as it is so connected to many things *required* to live. Please, get this person off discord, make the reports and help tickets. Idk if I'll get an email from discord about any of this, but I will keep updating this when necessary. Stay safe out there, yall.

Hello! We’re Traversal Peaks— a Discord roleplay group centered around farming sims such as Harvest Moon, Rune Factory, and many more!

Set in an alternate universe to the canon games, players can choose a character from a list of our accepted games and make them their own: interact with fellow muses, participate in community events, and take part in a world that is continuously being updated and expanded.

◇ A wide selection of canon characters to choose from! Though we initially started as a Story of Seasons and Rune Factory server, our masterlist has expanded to include characters from games such as Stardew Valley, My Time at Sandrock, and more! Choose your favorite characters and play out their day to day lives. Additionally, the masterlist is planned to expand once Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma releases! 

Some additional points to know about the server:

◇ Traversal Peaks uses canon characters only— meaning, no OCs. That being said, characters in the server’s universe are considered altered versions, meaning that they can be changed and customized within reasonable limitations.

◇ Traversal Peaks is an 18+ server. While the majority of server content is PG-13, we do have NSFW channels, and thus do not accept members under the age of 18.

Though the roleplay scene in the farming sim community is sparse, we’re proud of the community we’re building, and hope to welcome other fans of this genre into it. If you love writing, worldbuilding, and farming sims, come join us in Traversal Peaks!
