Honestly while I adooore the "gaster is corrupting the secret bosses" theory, I have to admit it feels rather... Odd. Mostly because Spamton. I mean, for all we know all the voice in the phone did was help him get cash, what corrupted him was the religious insanity building up from the NEO body. But, actually, thinking of it, it'd make sense for the voice on the phone to make him into a big shot like it did because that was what allowed him to be close to the body on the first place so maybe it was like A Wicked Master Plan. But it still feels weird bc with Jevil they just walked up to him and were like dude guess what? and drove him insane. I guess it's a matter of time, maybe meeting our newer bosses will be able to reveal to us more similarities or more differences.

The Clarkesworld AI Spam issue is one of those stories that to me really highlights the limits of the tools that hype is obscuring. Clarkesworld is a well-established Sci-Fi publishing magazine that today had to suspend all of its submissions due to being overwhelmed by ChatGPT generated entries:
Tumblr media
This inspired a lot of discourse around the idea of a ‘crisis of credibility’ on the internet, AI sweeping away the boundries of authenticity in a flood of forgeries. How can magazines even operate in this new environment, one might ask?
Which is weird because this environment isn’t new at all, as the editor, Neil Clarke, comments on in his blog post around the problem:
Since the early days of the pandemic, I’ve observed an increase in the number of spammy submissions to Clarkesworld. What I mean by that is that there’s an honest interest in being published, but not in having to do the actual work. Up until recently, these were almost entirely cases of  plagiarism, first by replacing the author’s name and then later by use of programs designed to “make it your own.”
The issue isn’t that spam exists, its the quantity:
Tumblr media
This is undoubtably a gigantic spike, and 100% it is induced by ChatGPT.
But hold on - is ChatGPT actually *better* at this that previous spam tools? Niel doesn’t think so, even if he is worried about the future:
I’m not going to detail how I know these stories are “AI” spam or outline any of the data I have collected from these submissions. There are some very obvious patterns and I have no intention of helping those people become less likely to be caught...
... What I can say is that the number of spam submissions resulting in bans has hit 38% this month. While rejecting and banning these submissions has been simple, it’s growing at a rate that will necessitate changes. To make matters worse, the technology is only going to get better, so detection will become more challenging.
And how expensive was the plagarism before to do anyway? It was copy-pasting text, automated word replacement programs, and done, that is trivial. Its a little harder than ChatGPT, sure, but you could make a thousand in a day no sweat, automated scripts randomizing names and jumbling nouns from a list.
The success rate also seems to be zero! Neither plagarism nor ChatGPT generates any story worth a damn, these aren’t being accepted. Neil is quite confident he is catching 100% of them and I believe him on that, these tools cannot write good fiction of any length beyond a paragraph.
So what is the ChatGPT’s advantage over previous, ‘dumber’ spam that justifies a 100-fold increase in spam usage? I am not seeing one, and I don’t think there is one besides marginally lower per-spam costs. Phrased another way, what was stopping someone from submitted 500 spam entries in one month in 2021? Nothing but interest in doing so.
Which is the rub of why this is happening - it isn’t because ChatGPT is good at this task, its because its the hype thing to do. Everyone is talking about it, everyone is trying it out, everyone is trying to find “delta” so they can ride the hype train. A bunch of people, some who may have even had axes to grind against Clarkesworld, have heard of this brand new fun tool and are flooding into the market to take advantage of it. But there might not be much to take advantage of; hype is fleeting, particularly in the face of no results as this effort is getting. As it fails, unless that axe really needs grinding above all else, spammers will move.
All of this to say that this story is, again, not a story about AI at all. AI is just the reason these already-bad parts of the system are being tested in the public eye.

I am genuinely curious to what people’s issues with the eggs are? Like people who vehemently want the “arc” to end now or soon through the eggs leaving or dying. I can understand the frustrating issues out of role play where chats can spam about them etc but that’s easily solvable with mods taking care of it in chat and outside of bad’s chat who get spammy about it on the weekends I personally haven’t experienced it being too bad in anyone else’s chat (people love to act like Foolish’s chat is awful with it but as someone who watches most of his streams he has a really well behaved chat, there’s always going to be people who don’t know or follow twitch etiquette but his chat is pretty chill with Leo spam and if not the mods sort it out or foolish himself will tell them to chill). People love to act like the tasks are a massive issue but above everything else the admins and players have shown that there’s excellent communication so I’m sure if and when they have to change or end how the tasks are approached they’ll do that. I also don’t see how the eggs are impacting the story negatively? The lore has continued to progress so much practically daily since the eggs have been there so that’s not an issue. The eggs also bring a unique sense of having something to lose so making the present threats seem even more dangerous and they bring their own stories (just look at richas and his lore) it would seem so cheap story telling wise to just kill off the eggs and be like thanks guys for taking care of them and getting attached for months but some viewers said to just get rid of them hope that’s okay! Like the writers have done an amazing job thus far I’m sure they’ll create something great for the eggs and their story we just need to sit back and watch 🫶🏻

HELLO! Is it too early for me to come back and request more romeo? I just think he's the cutest thing ever hfhfh I'd like some cute hcs like giving him a sheep plush or something If this is spammy of me you can disregard this rq dw ^^ - Bedman Anon
note: bedman anon no it is not too early!!! you can request whenever you want. anyway im taking this as an excuse to curate some of my personal bedman hcs for you because i’m kind of crazy abt him. i’m currently getting off of a two week period of listening to the circle obsessively and telling anyone who would listen abt romeo lore. also, please assume these hcs are in an au where bedman is awake because.. that part of canon is very difficult to write with like 90% of the time. anyway!
A Handful of Bedman (Romeo F. Neumann) Headcanons for one Bedman Anon!
First of all I love the sheep plushie idea. That is canon to me now.
Actually.. perhaps in addition to that, I think he might collect plushies. When the bed isn't in fighting mode, it is lined with his stuffed friends :]
Also, he seems like the type to name all of his plushies. Except because it's Bedman, they all have complicated and refined names.
Kind of canon, but his buckwheat pillow is his #1 comfort item.
A sweet older brother hc for you, I think Delilah struggles with sleep deprivation, which leads to Bedman throwing together warm milk with cinnamon and honey for her. He's been doing it since they were younger, and she still asks for it now. They both swear by it working.
Bedman has.. interesting music taste. While you'd expect him to mostly listen to something classical, that's a rare piece of his taste. I don't know why, but some part of me feels like he would love something like Love Live. I am chuckling at the mental image of Romeo listening to silly anime girl music.
On the topic of music, I think he knows how to play piano. It's a random thing he learned as a child that stuck with him.
Adding to both of those above. Rhythm game fiend. He's crazy good at stuff like Bandori, Taiko no Tatsujin, Osu!, etc etc.
Oh my gosh I almost forgot. I think, though part of me feels this is canon, that he is a huge cinema nerd. Google show me this guy's letterboxd account.
Additional thought, I think maybe he likes Studio Ghibli and Wes Anderson movies. They're sort of comforting to him.
Hope you enjoyed!!

Hirumamo 100 Fanfic Prompt Challenge Update
It's been a hot minute since I last updated everyone on my progress on the 100 fanfic prompt challenge for Hirumamo since I just felt like sharing the link to each individual story was starting to seem a bit spammy. Which is why I thought I would share the links to those stories here in this one post. So if you've been looking for some new Hiruma x Mamori fanfics, I gotcha.
Prompt 1: Camping
Prompt 2: First Kiss
Prompt 3: Injury
Prompt 4: Sick Day
Prompt 5: One Bed
Prompt 6: Wedding Dress
Prompt 7: Confession
Prompt 8: Protective
Prompt 9: Practice
Prompt 10: Game Day
I'm going to be working on the next 10 fanfics next week since I got nonstop work starting tomorrow on Wednesday so I'm planning on a library trip to do some physical writing there and some typing when I get back home. I've finally found my groove again when it comes to writing stories and I start writing more when it's done physically first. So I'm writing all these stories by hand. That's why some of the stories are longer than others and some are shorter than others.
Anyways. I hope you guys enjoy this collection I've done so far for this couple that doesn't get a lot of content as of late.

Baby Spamton is so cute!!! I wonder what the others looked like as babies?
Now, before I reply, let me just state that Addisons are not bad parents by default. The group was just severely unlucky, (or lucky considering the outcome).
Tumblr media
Miel is the oldest. Born and raised in a normal Addison household. Despite his later development, Miel learned to walk much later than any other, and stayed chubby until the age of 12. (His later development is thanks to his friends and families strong support and his knowledge that he had a safetynet no matter if he succeeded or not.)
Tumblr media
Blueys mother did sadly not make it long into Blueys life. Yet little Bluey was never alone, since he had that kind of happyness that just spread in whatever room he was in, as long as he wasnt completely ignored. It did take a ridiculous four days for the head doctor to punch out the paperwork at breakneck speed to adopt little Blue, giving an Addison as loving Home among Ambyulances, no doubt forming Blues view that family is not defined by blood.
Tumblr media
It is still a mystery where Yee came from
Tumblr media
One day Miel, Bluey and Yee went to a ballgame. Expecting a fun atmosphere and subpar hotdogs. That was until the big screen, who would usually display kisscams and slowcams of goals, suddenly briefly switched to the view of one of the stadiums bathrooms. It looked empty and darker and seemed to be one of the staffs bathrooms. The only one visible, was a small pink baby addison, crying at his lungs fullest, prompting Bluey to essentially break into the staffs bathroom, before handing the baby over to the responsible people of the event. The image of Pink left an impact on Bluey, who was wondering if the child was okay or not. Turned out, nobody came to pick the little bean up. And so Bluey did what his adoptive father had done, welcoming their very vocal new child into their home mere days later.
Tumblr media
And then there was Spammi. Imagine being Bluey, returning home after elongated negotiations for a banner-add-campagn with investors. You dont want to open the mailbox. You know its bills in there and you dont need that stress now. You decide not to open the mailbox. But when you walk past it, the mailbox starts crying. And suddenly you have to explain to your hunk husband, that you have a third child now.

What even is this mess?!
Tumblr media
It's not in response to anything, it's not got a link to anything, it's not even trying to get me to use webnovel since it seems to have got confused as to which site it's even posting on, so wtf?
If you're going to post spam comments, at least have the decency to spam me for a reason!
(And if anyone wants to read Take Me Out and leave a nice non-spammy comment, it's here)

Dear Tumblr, I have a question about reblogs
I’ve been on Tumblr for a few months. I’m aware that reblogs are the only real way to share posts here (since the search engine is not algorithm-based), but how many daily reblogs are considered as “spam” by other users?
On one hand, I see posts encouraging people to reblog as much as they can, but I’ve also seen posts calling people “annoying” for constantly reblogging things and clogging up their timelines. The latter, however, never specified how many reblogs are “too many”. I used to have my Queue set at three posts per day, but then I started seeing “reblogs are spam” posts, so I lowered it to two posts per day, but is that still too much? Since I know my reblogs end up on my followers' timelines, I don’t want to be too spammy/annoying towards them, but I also wanna reblog things I like at a reasonable pace (my Queue is currently +20 posts long)
Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, I’ve just seen conflicting opinions

"I feel that it is time for me to pursue another opportunity that is more aligned with my career goals and values"
I’m 100% quitting my job if they require us to use Gen AI
They did, so I quit. I gave my one months' notice today and will start New Job near the end of next month. Of course I have to credit random Recruiter Guy for showing up in my life at exactly the right time; I wouldn't have left without an exit plan.
I try to be a principled person and there aren't always opportunities to safely stay true to those principles.
-----
When Recruiter Guy messaged me on LI last month, I was intrigued that it actually seemed like he'd read my profile (unlike the spammy messages I usually get). I've never worked with a recruiter before, so it was interesting having a sort of agent pitching you to the company and liaising with them instead of having to be persuasive and do all the arrangements on your own.
Since the technical writer role is a new position in this company, I figured that it would mean they would be open to ideas on how to do things and wouldn't be forcing me to use AI things.
When Recruiter Guy asked for my salary expectations, I gave him a number in the middle of the range that was in the job description. The entire salary range is a significant increase over what I'm earning now[1], so I had literally nothing to lose and everything to gain trying for this. He said he'd ask for a bit more than my figure. (And that's what I'll be getting.)
The role would be a massive step up in responsibility for me and I know it's going to be a challenge; as the in-house writer I'd be responsible for maintaining the entire documentation library[2]. In-house writer is actually the role that many technical writers aspire to. You get to work closely with and really know the products you write about, and you can give feedback during the product development process.
I would have asked about it anyway, but the interviewer wanted my thoughts about using AI, and I said something along the lines of "I know people who do, but I do not because I trust my writing skills and good writing that gets taken seriously needs to have a touch that only a human writer can provide." She agreed that AI text sounds really obviously fake, so I took this as a good sign.
There was a small sample task that I had to do on my own time (given a list of specs, write a brief product description). Not a huge fan of copywriting but a product description is still very factual and not usually trying to sell stuff to people who don't want it. I returned the assignment along with a thank you note for the interview.
The interviewer wanted to speak with one of my references, so I directed her to talk to my master's thesis supervisor. He made such a good impression that she wanted to read my thesis (which IS, in the end, the only formal writing sample I can provide because I can't divulge who I've done work for) and had Recruiter Guy set up a chat for me with their HR person. Whom I spoke to on Good Friday because it wasn't a public holiday in their country and I didn't have big plans for the Easter weekend anyway and I just really wanted to move the process forward as quickly as possible. They were also extremely impressed and went back to Recruiter Guy right away, who then called me that afternoon. I'm sure he would not have done this if he wasn't optimistic about my application since he was very well aware that it was a public holiday for me.
So yeah, I got the offer email just as I was about to leave for the concert last Thursday, and I wrote back immediately to accept it. Recruiter Guy called me as I was getting out of the metro and I really hate talking on the phone in public, but THIS WAS IMPORTANT ENOUGH for an exception. We discussed the start date and agreed that I could have a gap week in between to just...catch my breath and rest a bit.
New Job is a hybrid workplace and they expect people to come to the office at least a couple of times a week, so I hope some social life and networking can actually happen??? Their products include hardware devices so it also makes sense that I need to physically be there to examine the things to document them properly.
__________
[1] With the amount of experience I have now, with a job that requires a university degree and specialized language skills, and living in the Helsinki area, I should NOT be earning BELOW the national median wage (across all industries)!!!
[2] A recurring theme in my art and what I try to do with it is wanting to be seen, so it would mean a lot to me to be able to point to my work and say "I did this," rather than writing anonymously as a contractor.

hi! feel free to not answer this, but i was just wondering if you had any suggestions for good, not spammy places for p-rn? i just find it hard to find things i like and idrk where to start :/
Hi! Yes, i totally understand what you mean! Here's some suggestions that I have used and liked:
1. For stuff to watch:
-BELLESA 💕 i love bellesa, they're one of the few sites aimed at a primarily female audience, and in general just seem to be a really good, sex positive site that appears to have good relationships with adult performers. They don't have all kinds of spammy pop-ups or required subscriptions or sign-ups either. They sell toys too, if you're looking for that, though I've never bought from them before so i can't speak to that experience.
-Lustery; a wonderful site that is full of ethically created, consensual, amateur (but well made) porn. It's been awhile since I've been on there, but if i remember correctly, it requires an account to be set up to access the content
-I also regularly listen to the podcast Girls on Porn, a porn review podcast, and they talk a lot about where to find good, ethical porn 👍
2. For stuff to read:
-Tumblr (wow obviously) Check out my recs for some of my faves ✌
-Bellesa has some good stories too, but I don't read there too often
3. For stuff to listen to:
-audibleporn/loveaudiogasm here on tumblr
-Independent creators whose content you can purchase access to through sites like Patreon. In general, if you can, please pay for your porn! And supporting small creators is great, especially if you’re into amateur already!
Hope that helps and that you find some stuff you like! 🥰💕

sorry if this seems spammy but i saw an anon ask something and now i have a question!!
what are the signs of being a system?
It's ok!! My inbox is always open for questions, I like helping and sharing info!
I'll just go over the symptoms of DID and OSDD, since those are what I know most about, and I don't want to risk possibly being wrong
For DID, the most common symptoms are
Gaps in memory/General memory loss
Dissociative/Derealization episodes
Unreality
Blurred sense of identity/Identity issues
OSDD is similiar, but not too similar! The most prominent difference is that people with OSDD, like myself, don't "black out". Instead, we often experience emotional amnesia, which basically means we remember what happened while we weren't in front, but we don't remember how it felt. This also can include typical memory loss, which we experience.
Both have distinct alters though! Which, is the entire thing basically, lol

People try to get rid of their Spams when they are older or less "cute". Or can't afford to feed them. It's really kind of gross! I live out in the country and found a few dumped out here. Seems to be common to trap them in something before dumping them? Cause I guess they would chase the car or something? I found one wandering around in the road and running from some fine folk trying to stop and catch him. Eventually he came down my road and I coaxed him in with some change. He screamed bloody murder when I managed to grab him and get him into a carrier! Though later with more snacks and things, he has perked up. I did call my local Spam society but no one has showed up yet. Debating about keeping him after I give him a bath cause dang he's got tangles and mats. But I already have a few Spammys around. What do I do? And how do we get people to stop dropping city slickers out here in the country?
Jevils typically populate cities and urban areas, as they love mischief and noise, which those are full off. It's incredibly rare to find a Jevil that lives in the country side.
If you're too far out for an SRS member to pick up the Spamton and you don't feel like driving them down or keeping them, I suggest just...giving them a small bag of goodies and letting them roam.
Spamtons thrive in the countryside, mainly because there's an abundance of nothing. Spamtons are also notoriously good hitchhikers, so if they need to get somewhere, boy will they get there.
I do recommend leaving out small kromer packs, though, since stray money is probably very limited out there.

https://wca-confessions.tumblr.com/?source=share genuinely not trying to start drama, but the person running this blog accused someone running your blog of "silencing disabled voices" and deleting one of their comments or something. What happened?
im actually unsure. this is something that NEEDS proof or some kind of elaboration. all i'm seeing is the same copy-pasted response to anyone asking questions about what happened.
a few reasons why a comment might've gotten deleted, because we genuinely do not control how that works:
we have people blocked on this account. tumblr automatically deletes replies from people we have blocked.
tumblr is VERY broken. like ive mentioned before, theyre cracking down on replies and asks that seem "spammy." i have years of experience with running my own webpage and ive also been on tumblr since 2012 to know this by now. sometimes it just bugs out.
i'm physically disabled myself and as a result have been on the receiving end of ableism in the fandom for years (esp when ive spoken up about... certain maps). not even mentioning that we have a LOT of asks posted onto the blog where people talk about this ableism and their own experiences with it.
if you have an issue with ANYTHING we've done, reach out. there's absolutely no reason to start coming up with accusations (with 0 proof or evidence) over something as simple as a misunderstanding.
