every day i struggle to make choices

#i should invest into some kind of education but cant make up my mind #mostly because options suck #i cant do trades unless my body sucks less which is sad because id love to be an electrician #cant even think about getting a pilots license cuz im not passing the med cert #i think id rather die than be a med assistant actually #working clinics at all makes me nervous tbh but probably where im headed in the short term #surgical tech would be cool but i cant do a Real program while working full-time #which is what limits most of my choices #i need to find more paid training programs i guess #if i had to pick a miserable but fulfilling job id go into education itself #but the teaching profession has always been in a downward spiral esp as of late #i dont want healthcare because i hate seeing dysfunctional glorified murder machines grinding around and around endlessly #acute care sucks id rather be in an icu for function but then im depressed because our patients are always dying #it was better as a phleb but this hospital doesnt have phleb and like i said im nervous about clinics #but i need to fucking commit to outpatient phlebotomy i think :/#the most fun ive had at a job ever #i wish i had more widely applicable skills but i cant be an emt/para even just for the training #because half of it is unpaid and the other half you pay for #and again #a job NOTORIOUS for being exhausting dangerous and traumatizing #if i was 17 again and wasnt escaping the tar pit of my mother id go for an english degree and i wouldnt even regret it #thinking about school in terms of a job i have to have forever vs for the sake of learning is so different #id like to know everything. i wanna read and write forever. and do research and have real technical skills that help people #im still riding off of the high of getting 5 ccs off of an oncology patient who desperately needed a port #they were able to run like seven tests off of it #i had to use a couple ped tubes #she only had to get poked Once and barely noticed it bc the doc team came in and im so happy i made her admission that muvh easier #labs are so miserable #checking back on the blood and seeing all of the results came through made me more pleased than anything else in the world

#I'm going to candidate just so she shuts the fuck up about interim jobs #especially since I applied at two Digital Services Company which kind of are the interim agencies for IT and software dev #but I'm really starting to think someone who didn't jobhunt for more than 24 years has any valid opinion about jobhunting #especially not someone that works to work in HR and still thinks it's the era of careers (it's the era of employability)#(making sure your employees are employable and skilled enough for your company; because you're not giving promotions #so you at least gotta give training programs)#💡 slime's unoriginals

#personal #like of course he is. he may have ended up a corpo boy but deep down he is nothing like that #he used to go out to smoke with friends in places they weren't supposed to be #got into so many fights when he was young and he was a boxer like jackie... they trained with viktor for a long time together #when vitali was in college. and it's always been about community and connection to him #even now as a fixer he's putting his resources towards his mercenaries and their families #and to the fixer council so they can use the collective income to keep streets safe for regular residents of night city #he's got a whole program running to support businesses that are trying to make heywood more accessible to those without a car #and organizations focused on making life in night city better for children specifically so they have safe places to hang out with friends #if he was really a corpo boy he would've set up his office in city center somewhere. or like. charter hill #would've barely cared about his mercenaries and would DEFINITELY not have helped with creating the fixer council #none of his mercenaries have died. like obviously people get injured but none of them have ever died and like #it's all because he makes sure that they have all the resources and gear they need to succeed at the gigs he gives them #which makes me so insane he cares so much and he's running his business SO professionally but in like. such a human way #like yeah his skills as a corpo come in super handy for what he's doing here and he's absolutely using them to his advantage #but that's all he's using them for. corpo boy on the surface but lover at heart

forever in love with my headcanon of william studying the computer chips of the 80's and becoming obsessed with the idea of the animatronics having actual chips instead of rudimentary tech. massively improves his soldering and makes something without breathing a word of it to henry until he's practically done with it (because it has to be his, he wants that bragging point), and completely changing the face of the animatronics ( + this obv leads to the funti.mes in the end). spends so, so long perfecting it and testing it and than thrives off of the praise he gets for it, especially if from henry because Internalized Rivalry.

ohhh ok so like today ive been thinking about a venn diagram of all the y/n personalities i have, and they are all so willing to bite people. thatls y/n nearly did in chapter 7, i could pick the scene out if i reread it, borrower y/n has and will continue to bite people, and rescue team absl y/n quite literally has bite in their moveset

#all 3 also ignore their problems #but its more out of trained habit for borrower to run and hide #from most to least likely to pretend everything is fine it goes rescue team > thatls > borrower #rescue team feels like they need to constantly prove themself to be taken seriously #thatls just doesnt want to deal with it #borrower is the most confrontational but again: trained habit has overriden their first instinct #and theyre from a community where its common to let lie problems and be quiet about it #also rescue team and thatls both have 'omg [creachur/history]!!!!' in the venn diagram #borrowers hobbies are mostly related to survival or just playing like hopscotch or something #they also learn computer programming somehow in the plex but theyre not really obsessed over it #rescue team and borrower are also in club 'has survival skills and doesnt need help to live in the wild'#thatls is excluded from this exclusive club

i love seeing u talk abt young vitali. i love him sm. what was the class he cared the most abt (or skipped the least amount of lectures)? what drink would he splash on nick's face?

THANK YOU SO MUCH <3 so vitali essentially studied business and management in college because he thought that would be the easiest way for him to then start working at arasaka (he was right about that) :^)

i don't know what kind of classes and lectures he would've had but he was mostly interested in the analytics side of it all. also just communication and stuff like that interested him a lot and he had some psychology classes on the side too. well. he mostly forgot about them but he was able to look at the course material online so it didn't really matter that he only showed up to class twice in the whole year

and he would throw any cold drink in nick's face to be honest. iced coffee. lemonade. severely overpriced cocktail to make a statement at the bar. statement was made but it was not worth it if we're being completely honest here
