Through the branches I watch the building. It is white. And just like, it is casual. But with pattern. Beautiful red pattern, made in bricks. White bricks – it is building itself. And pattern is from red bricks.
Ornament maybe, someone, say – it is very simple. But it is very attractive and such a cozy style. Like close to home style. Style of Slavic fairytales, maybe. Red color – is warm color. Sun pattern. A pattern from the little sun.
But it is branches without leaves, yet. At summer with green leaves, it will be even more beautiful to see this place! Such a nice little place!

I’ve made a deck for the slavic themed Mafia game — each character is from classic fairytales and epics. Part 1 of ? (Not really supposed to reveal the whole deck)
𖧷 Ivan Tsarevich 𖧷 Koshchei the Deathless 𖧷 Solovey (Nightingale) the bandit 𖧷 Rusalka

I actually can’t stop thinking about East of the Sun, West of the Moon… I’ve read that entire collection of Scandinavian fairytales, and there were some others that I liked a ton as well (I thought the one about the giant who didn’t have a heart was great too) but something about East of the Sun West of the Moon was just so good..
It is just Beauty and the Beast with extra steps, but I liked that their love was mutual before the enchantment was broken, I liked that it had the motif of a woman looking for her lost husband and subsequently rescuing him, also personified Winds are characters in like every tale in this collection but it was good to see them here too; idk I just think that this fairytale was really neat

A closer look on the sleeves of this blouse I entirely embroidered by hand, and then sewn. The embroideries patterns are based on a vintage vyshyvanka blouse I saw on pinterest. I became obsessed with these colors and shapes, and spent 100+ hours embroidering all the sleeves. And now I just want to make another one because it was such a great experience!! On the photos I'm wearing the blouse with a traditional ukrainian vest.

i think david has the best scary stories. because he grew up in poland and has heard of like a hundred different slavic spirits and monsters and now he carries the legacy on because whenever he wants to persuade les by scaring him a little he says "eat the whole dinner or bebok will steal you" or "you can't go to the forest alone leszy will eat you" or "don't swim in the hudson river utopce will drown you and turn you into one of them." and also sometimes when he's at the lodging house for the night the littles just ask him for a scary story and he always provides (<- great narrator/storyteller david bonus)

2019 vs 2017 drawing of RUSAŁKA, a Slavic water nymph.. Which one do you like better?
She is the one creature I have included in 2 separate folklore books:
🌿 The long illustration is from my 2017 and is my 1st folklore book "𝟹𝟷 𝙵𝚎𝚖𝚊𝚕𝚎 𝙶𝚑𝚘𝚜𝚝𝚜, 𝙼𝚘𝚗𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚜, & 𝙳𝚎𝚖𝚘𝚗𝚜 𝚏𝚛𝚘𝚖 𝙰𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚆𝚘𝚛𝚕𝚍"
🌿 The smaller illustration is from 2019 and you can find her in my 3rd folklore book "𝟹𝟷 𝙱𝚎𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝙼𝚢𝚝𝚑 & 𝙼𝚊𝚐𝚒𝚌" book.
I drew her twice because I really wanted to include her in my Slavic series, and wanted to redraw her.
Both books are available in my ETSY. 🖤💀🌿
