I binged this webtoon today and yesterday and it's rly good i like it sm... "your wings and mine"

I didnt know what to expect going in(i keep my hopes low tbh) but I kept getting impressed w the writing... it's rly funny but also surprisingly emotional, it has me laughing out loud 1 moment and then crying the next and then laughing my ass off again... there's a lot of silliness but the serious moments don't feel out of place or cheesy at all bc they did such a good job of building the charas up to that point... and the genuine and heartfelt exchanges btwn the charas are simple but surprisingly feel fresh? like the writer was lowkey galaxy braining writing these kcdnfj And they actually did such a good job w the slow burn romance, it's so sweet and cute and fun to watch grow... 😭 i'm caught up now and im sad i need more

Like I love both shows. And I think theyre both somewhat true to life just like, very different viewpoints as theyre true to life. And depicting very different people (with some overlap). And of course, We Are is going for low stakes comfort slice of life genre, while Only Friends is going for dense analysis of friends in the hookup scene.

So, I didn't forget the rating of the game, but I'm wondering if you're planning "fade to black" scenes for this story, or will it just have kisses at most? I don't mind either way, it's just that the subject at hand made me wonder.

Honestly that's a really good question LOL

Most of the true romance starts in Act 2 because the whole cast is bad at feelings (except Beck) and this is just the Slow Burn Romances story. And Act 2 is very much more vague and broadstrokes for now since most of my outlining and notes have been Act 1 centered.

I think it's really dependent on each RO as well since they all have their own pace. Like for example, Beck is the only one with a kiss scene in Act 1 (maaaybe Lars though I'm debating that scene lol) because he's the only one normal about feelings lol where as Rook is the opposite in that he is so actively avoiding his feelings it'll be a while into Act 2 before he allows himself that.

Also I know I said "route lock at the end of chapter 1 Act 2" but I honestly might change it when I get there lol. Especially since the dynamics in each path might shift some things for some people.

Anyway that whole rant to say, it's up in the air! I imagine some ROs will have more intense scenes then others but whether it reaches a "fade to black" moment or not, I'm not sure yet!

The romance with Agent Gray is just not hitting like it’s supposed to. He barely reacts to any of the flirting. And when he does, he just shoots MC down. If this shit happened to me irl, I would think he isn’t interested and been stopped trying by now. Plus, he has such a dry personality. Like how do you have a spy book with a boring ass LI and terrible outfits 😒

Also yeah, i like the ship itself, but I'm not a very romantic person so I think I often care more about the implications and how they relate to each other, and that kinda thing, if that makes sense? I care deeply abt them, but yknow make a lot of AUs, and the most fun I have is often trying to fit their narrative into different environments! One day I'll draw more shippy stuff I swear 🤧🤧 They are just perfect to me :)

But yeah it's hard, just like the other ship above, to articulate my thoughts about them that isn't just screaming. It's just so fun to look at all the content along the years and see how they gravitate towards each other. To me, they're the 21st century blueprint for emotional support rivals 🥹🥹 Also, sending them to superhell for the amount of insane things they've done in public.

I was wondering, what books do you love and would recommend besides DLS? 💖

Hi! It's so sweet of you to ask!! I've only played a couple of RC books, but I'll try my best:

If you like the gothic setting and the friend group in DLS, I think Arcanum is a good bet, if you haven't played it already! The characters are interesting (especially the MC), the story and settings are compelling (especially seasons 1 and 3, in my opinion), and I thought the conclusion to the plot was really satisfying. Also, if you can, I would try to avoid spoilers!

I played one season and a half of Heart of Trespia and it was really enjoyable! I think it's really well written, with a strong plot! It seems season 3 is continuing that trend, though I'm not caught up. The LI moments are really good too! Bonus points for having separate stats for romance and friendship, so you can actually be friends with the other LIs!

If you like Noe and Leo specifically, I would maybe timidly suggest The Desert Rose solely for Mustafa. I think the book has some really well written moments, though it can be slow paced, and the art and music are beautiful. But what's keeping me invested right now is Mustafa. In my head, he's a bit like a sunshine-y, human version of Noe 😅 I really enjoyed the early scenes with the Rebel too!
