Remember how Loki pruned himself? He doubled back in time and interacted with himself. So, now there are two Loki’s at play—not variants of each other, but the same Loki from two different times.

When people are pruned, they don’t die. The pruned version of Loki went to the end of time, right? What’s at the end of time? The citadel.

…Where the pruned version of Loki might find one of those time travel devices, or Miss Minutes, or some other way to get back to the TVA. And he can go back to any time he wants to at the TVA.

So, he can travel back to the TVA before Victor Timely goes out in the spacesuit and prevent the explosion that killed everyone.

The story we saw of everyone dying in the end was just one possible branch of time. The extra Loki can course correct.

However, there will still be an issue with two identical Loki’s, so he might not even do that. Maybe he will simply jump to a different branch of time, where he was already killed off, and make that into the new “sacred timeline.”

Being able to time travel changes everything. It’s the greatest power in the universe because you can go back and change anything to prevent it from happening before it happens!

For some reason, I'm really invested in knowing what future Miraculous character will be doing.

This are my headcanons so far and why:

Marinette: Designer. We all know this is meant to happen, it's super clear. BUT, I'm not meaning designer as a fashion designer, I meant it as a costume designer. She works mostly on movies but loves working on theaters. Sometimes she also helps with scenography and for some reason she knows a little about lighting as well. She still takes little commissions from a few artists. I like believing that she saw the fashion desing world with another pov and decided to not be part of it. Taking the Agreste company? I think she will enjoy to destroy that empire, and also will want to have her own name.

Adrien: I LOVE "Baker!Adrien" headcanon. Yes, he works with the Dupain-Chengs, and he loves it. He has the family he has always dreamed of. Also there has been a few mentions in the show of Adrien as a food seller. Tom will be thrilled to adopt Adrien and show him everything he knows. Tom will also be happy that he has someone to take over the bakery when he retires.

Gabriel: In jail. He deserves no other place to stay.

Nathalie: haven't think that much about it. But I don't think she will end up in jail like Gabriel. She's smart, she's better than that.

Alya: an reporter. It's meant to happen. She also has a few enemies because she DOES tell the truth. Maybe she will travel with Nino and they'll match their works with their travels, so maybe she's an independent reporter.

Nino: The best DJ in the world. As I said before, he matches his work travels with Alya's work, but also, they are pretty independent from each other. They love the feeling they get when they haven't seen each other in a few weeks and then they meet again in a total different country.

Kagami: Ok, hear me out in this one. Kagami is a tattoo artist. She's very good at drawing and art, but I don't think she will enjoy being in a place where rich can control everything. She's already rich and she might have the contacts to be a very recognized artist, but, let's be honest, that's not something the both rich kids want. After realizing that her mom is not the one who controls her life, she decided to be rebellious and got a tattoo herself (big thing for being japanese), after that, her friends convinced her to become a tattoo artist and she ended up loving the idea. I also like thinking that Tomoe paid a lot of people in the art industry to not let people accept Kagami as an artist, but I think is kind of brutal. Now everyone has a tattoo made by Kagami. Luka and Adrien have a competition to see who gets more tattoos.

Luka: He has his little shop, the one he named in Wishmaker. He loves making people happy finding an instrument that's made for them, specially kids.

Juleka: She's an stylist. She's the best and most revolutionary. She has a lot of knowledge in makeup and hairstyle.

Rose: She's a famous singer and songwriter, she's also Juleka's muse and they go on tour together. Juleka and Marinette help her with her style.

Chloé: She's an influencer and has her own cosmetics brand.

am getting a lot of character inspo for shri’iia from amy gone girl. I don’t think she’s as smart nor calculated but she is similar to some degree in that she’s hyper aware of the current persona she’s presenting and how she’s appealing to the people. the masks and the mjndgames, that’s basically how shri’iia operated while she was still serving under her matriarch in menzoberranzan. she needed to play the roles the matriarch required of her and it was only when she was with her matriarch that she can be ‘Real Shri’iia’, and that’s how I imagined shri’iia to be esp in act 1 when she is so new and scared in the surface. she needed to work out who these people are (her companions) and what they liked, so her first persona - her blank one - the charming helpful paladin who got tadpoled and wants to go back home just like the rest of them (which was half true). she didn’t really argue and she generally agreed to what the group wanted. she was helpful and co-operative, ask her about her past and she will tell you something bland and generic- interesting enough to be ooh-ing about but not too interesting that they’ll delve deeper into it. then, when she got to know them a little more, she started crafting little personas adjacent to her first one ; she’s the girl who’s curious about magic but never had the chance to learn with gale, she’s a cool girl who likes mischief as debauchery with astarion, she’s the one who likes to take risks and live in the moment with karlach, the knight in silver armor who’s willing to help the tieflings with wyll, a disciplined fighter with lae’zel, someone who understands the depths of devotion with shadowheart - but none are really her, not really. ofc her own personality might slip in here and there but for the most part she’s appealing to them and what they’d like her to be but none of it is really genuine. shri’iia just needs to be on their good side to minimise the chances of them turning on her, and if they let her guard down it’ll be easier for her to get rid of them should the need arise. taking up all these different masks, collecting all these intel abt them to be used for later, slithering and making a place in their minds - it’s really how she operated back in menzoberranzan. I think the only one who catches on to her game is astarion but that’s bc he’s doing the same thing too, so it’s very game recognises game lmfao

it’s only when she breaks her oath and goes through her existential crisis that all of her masks drop and her real self comes out. she was never that kind of person lmfao ^, she’s greedy, selfish, paranoid and rather obsessive. she doesn’t care about a lot of things that doesn’t concern her, she has a cruel streak that she hasn’t shown before, and she hates doing anything that won’t really benefit her. but she’s fiercely loyal to anyone she likes, like a dog. and severely she craves validation and approval - also like a dog.

call me stupid and a fake fan but i still can't wrap my head around the score vs jade making replicas which aren't in the score which assists in the destruction of the score

there is a LOT of stuff i need to revisit (please. please please port abyss to steam port abyss port abyss port abyss-) but if there was anything specifically about this i missed it

i have guesses but they feel like. putting bandaids on things rather than actually solving the problem. maybe replicas were intentionally left out of the score because yulia knew the score would eventually be destroyed and wanted that. maybe jade didn't give a single flying fuck about the score his entire life and just did what he wanted (this checks out tbh, but everyone around him??? just letting him do it??? if it wasn't in the score???? surely it must actually be in some way. unless the score is just so vague everyone Assumes). maybe im stupid but also everyone else in the abyss world is stupid and it's all in hindsight that you see everything was actually there

back on the pointy objects grind but instead of doing much of anything useful i spent many many many minutes actually plotting out where the kiddos end up on the islands throughout their adventure and this is what i've landed on. i don't use specific locations really in the fic (mostly bc i didn't do this beforehand...hah...) and i don't think i'll start now but it makes sense in My brain at least

WHY THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT WHEN TIMELINES ARE INVOLVED IS UTTER BULLSHIT

Now, you may be questioning, why am I posting this on my Doctor Who blog? Well,

1. Because DW is a show about time travel (and also some other things I gues)

And 2. BECAUSE I CAN.

In your time travel story, please, for the love of Jesus H. Christ himself, don't involve multiple timelines, if the butterfly effect is in... Effect, and the MC returns to their original timeline, with things completely changed!

When a person goes back in time, it is usually for a reason, be it fun, trying to fix something in the future, unfortunate circumstance, or trying to fuck things up in the future. If their reasons match with the reasons I listed, or it is something similar, it usually means they have a grasp of the present, setting that present and its situation in concrete.

If a person goes back in time and "changes" something, but in reality that was always meant to happen (e.g. someone going back in time, having sex with their grandma, causing the person to be born in the first place) then that's fine, but it's not the butterfly effect, so... Fuck it I guess. In another scenario, a person goes back in time, changes something, and in the present everything is different, if there aren't multiple timelines involved, then that's fine! Flutter them butterfly wings (just ignore yourself imploding because of the paradox)! But... When a person goes back in time, changes something, then goes back to the present (if there are timelines involved, where every action causes another timeline to form), then, if they are still in their original timeline, nothing should have changed...

BECAUSE! Because, they created another timeline, and if they then entered that timeline instead, wouldn't they already be there? Wouldn't the Time Traveler be born already?(Unless, of course, the traveler caused something that'd prevent their birth, which... Still... Paradox...) What if the two met? That would cause a paradox wouldn't it? Maybe the original Time Traveler would implode, maybe the entire timeline would implode!

And then, of course, the Time Traveler from the second timeline would inevitably travel back in time, which would restart the loop.

Do you get it? Through my nonsensical rant? Through the obnoxiousness radiating throughout these words? Do you get what I'm putting down? Are you picking up what I'm putting down?? Are you picking up what I'm putting down, and holding it up like baby Simba in Lion King????

I've seen a lot of posts about Batman using his Bruce Wayne alter ego for the good of Gotham: job programs for felons released from prison, orphanages, charities, high wages for his employees, ethical business practices...the legendary post where Bruce Wayne goes to Wal-Mart.

Thus far I've never personally seen anybody really dig into the persona of Bruce Wayne the Billionaire Playboy. A handsome, rich, powerful man who always is seen at fancy galas, art openings, charity dinners, and wild parties with at least one beautiful woman on his arm.

We know Bruce Wayne is the mask, and its Batman who has a...complex love life, depending on the iteration we're talking about. Talia, Catwoman, sometimes Wonder Woman.

Bruce Wayne's dates, on the other hand, are all "normal" people. Maybe they're an aspiring actress, a supermodel, a prima ballerina, the occasional reporter...and every time there's that bit of nervousness at the start.

Sure everyone knows Bruce Wayne. Everyone knows the story with him. Sometimes his wilder parties make the news, but there's never really been anything nasty reported about him. Never...allegations. But he's a billionaire. He's one of the most powerful people in the whole city, nevermind the country. If he did have some skeletons in his closet. Well. Men with power have a way of making those kinds of stories go away, don't they?

As time goes on the Date's fears dissipate pretty quickly. Bruce Wayne is nothing but polite, kind, and at times charmingly awkward in an 'raised by his butler in a mansion' kind of way with his dates. Some of them can tell he's holding back, of course. Maybe the more perceptive Dates notice he's smarter than he lets on - playing the himbo or hamming up the "know-nothing rich boy" act to the cameras or some of his wealthy peers.

He also listens, is the thing. He's always listening to what they're saying, is interested in hearing about their careers, their hobbies, their lives. Really listens, too. Might refer to something a Date said weeks later off-hand. Buy out the whole museum for a private dinner date with a famous painting from an obscure artist they like, or a private performance with another's favorite band.

He has anecdotes and funny stories for days that somehow says very little about his personal life. The Dates know he has kids (it's practically a running gag in the news that Bruce Wayne has adopted yet another orphan) and maybe she might spot one of them at the mansion, but Bruce seems very keen to shelter them from any intense spotlight and scrutiny, and they all seem happy if a bit weird like him.

Eventually, there's drifting. He's a very busy man, with a very busy schedule. On more than on occasion his nice old butler will call and extend apologies that Mr. Wayne will not be able to make it this evening. Sometimes it's virtually impossible to get a hold of him over the phone. After a while they stop trying. None of them feel quite surprised by that. In the end, it just doesn't work. Sure, he's a little distant and doesn't make himself emotionally available...but he's not a bad person.

Especially when the so-called "exes" of Bruce Wayne start networking. Gotham isn't a small city, but the social circles Bruce Wayne travels in aren't as big. They don't quite gossip or complain about him. More like...who else would get it?

(I touched his side once and he winced...like he'd been hurt real bad there. He laughed and said it was tackle polo. How does that even-?)

(Somehow, after two dates, he saw right through me and listened while I told him what that casting director tried to do. He nodded, gave me the contact details of a law firm, and said not to worry about the legal fees.)

(I don't know for sure it was him, but it can't be a coincidence that my building got bought out from under my shitty landlord and we were all able to buy our apartments under market value.)

(He got my brother in the best rehab program in the city after his relapse. It probably saved his life. We'd stopped dating months ago, I still don't know how he found out.)

(He gave me a card with a phone number and told me that if I was ever in trouble to call it. Said one of his cars would come to pick me up, any time, any place, no questions asked. The one time I did have to use it after a bad party, it was Alfred.)

I think any tabloid reporter digging around for salacious stories or dirt about Bruce Wayne's love life would be completely and politely stonewalled when they try asking his former Dates. Even when money is offered. Every single one of them.

once you reached the age of it being your turn to head to college, you signed up for every exchange program possible, leaving you traveling the world for three years that passed with no contact and your once-upon-a-time crush nearly forgotten. that was until you came back home, finally settling to finish uni and all of a sudden you were a kid again, fawning over your brother's best friend who didn't know how to leave you alone. this time though, heeseung didn't see you as that annoying kid who followed jay around, he saw you for you which scared him so much more with how you've grown and nothing was worse than him feeling something for his best friend's off-limits little sister.
