"Sounds like you were out long enough to catch a cold." Phoenix frowned. "Larry and Trucy are having hot cocoa in the kitchen; I'm sure the kettle's warm enough for you to have a nice hot cup of tea."

Miles resisted the temptation to protest the assumption he had caught a cold from the inclement weather. As much as he would have liked to argue, given he was chief prosecutor after all, he would much rather have liked some tea and a warm blanket. He let his husband escort him to the couch in front of the fireplace and wrap him in the softest blanket left from Trucy's latest at-home performance, all without any fuss, unless some more nasty coughs counted as a fuss.

"Papa! You're home!" Trucy chirped as she entered the living room. "Do you want to have hot cocoa with us? We made lots!"

"I don't think he's feeling up to it, Trucy." Phoenix pressed his lips on Miles's forehead for a second. No fever, which was good news, but that cough... "Could you ask Larry to make some tea for him?"

"Okay! I'm gonna ask for more hot cocoa, too!" Trucy announced, as if her dads didn't already know that she would do exactly that.

"She's going to be bouncing off the walls at this rate." Phoenix observed.

Miles would have vocally agreed if he hadn't needed to let out another pesky cough, so he nodded instead.

"It's a good thing you'll get something to drink soon, huh? Honey is natural cough syrup, you know? It even tastes better, too. Maybe you could take a spoonful of that straight..."

"That sounds far too sweet." Miles grimaced.

"You're right." Phoenix nuzzled against his husband's cheek. "You already have me and Larry for that."

"Well, aren't you two modest..." Miles rolled his eyes.

"We sure are." Phoenix chuckled before kissing Miles's forehead. "Just take it easy, okay?"

He rolls his eyes but follows your wish and blows his nose into the tissue, letting you dispose of it. You give him a kiss on the forehead as a reward. You move his head to rest against your shoulder, nuzzling into your neck.

"My good boy." You keep your voice soft as you stroke his hair. "I'm gonna go and get you some allergy meds, okay?"

Lucifer nods, knowing that your question was more of a statement. Either way, as much as he hates to admit it, he loves having you dote on him.
