If I made some kind of discord for people on here, would anyone be interested in using it?

Was thinking that a group chat would be really fun, since quick communication is a lot easier than having to make a whole post every time you wanna talk. Apparently tumblr had group chats at one point, but took it away for... some? reason? So this seems like the next best option, if there's any interest :>

#the idea spawned because I wanted to share my screen while drawing like I do for one irl friend on that platform #at first I thought “oh I can use twitch”#but then I realized I do not have the social capacity to be the center of a conversation long enough to do that #not the same when you're the only one w a mic #so then magma was the solution to that #but if there's a discord then it doesn't really have to be a whole event #i could just share my screen and if anyone happens to be bored and with free time they could watch #and the idea spiraled from there #of course I'm scared of the whole death-of-a-friend group legend that discord is known for #but i don't think that'd actually happen with this group of people lol #still; if there's interest then one will be made and if not then i'll keep oversharing on my rb blog lmao #....#...i will probably keep doing that regardless actually :p

I’m having a straight up terrible time drawing two environments for Dyskrasias AMV but I’m being really brave about it!

#I really hate how they’re coming out LMAO #I’m gonna put all my frustrations here bc not talking about it feels like dying #I am spending way too much time on both bc that’s how I respond to not knowing how to draw something #and usually my solution is to practice until I feel good enough to make the final product #but dyskrasias AMV is ALL ABOUT just getting it DONE even if I don’t like it much #getting it good enough and LEAVING IT THERE #but it’s agonizing knowing I will Not Like It later #the only thing more agonizing is spending all this much time on it already and not finishing at all #so I keep!!!!! Going!!!!!!!#it will be real!!!!!#I’m also definitely proud of enough if it that I’m Okay with some parts just not being as good #i just would be less embarrassed by being not proud of this work if it took less time?#does that make sense.#I hate being like no this isn’t good yes it took four hours :^)#but it’s ok bc it will! be! done!!!#im also very scared of the animation at the end for this reason #I’d like it to be Good but well. listen.#I’m not gonna learn animation for less than a second of AMV. I’m not. hmmmmmm. hmmmmmmmmmmmm. definitely gonna have to sit on those new virvox designs for a while.

#gonna need to really grasp my opinions on em. first reaction theres stuff i like. and stuff im not a fan of #i should be able to find artistic middle grounds between the old and new pretty easily. except um. takuto/kohaku? situation is um.#um. hm. thats two different guys. i actually like the name change a bit with the shirokuro thing going on with his relationships to #kotarou and takehiro. but um. well. changing his skin to be the darkest is. a lot. with his name change and personality #definitely wasnt intentional on the artists part but it does lean into some tropes i dont care for #but we'll see. akashi got half a shade lighter but of course i'll keep on drawing him with his slightly richer deeper tone #well i mean. yeah. im sticking with the old designs for now RIP but it is what it issss #all 15 virvox fans sending psychic beams to amano kei begging to be let to make new designs for them #including me. i could do it. i could bring back their cuteness. maybe? maybe.#jk of course im basically only on tumblr so i know ive always been like. an oddly prolific secret in all fanbases im in LOL #im a bonus just for people who decide to join a dying microblogging platform <3 #but i do want to try out making different designs for em now....... fuuuuck.... fuuuuuuuck....but i have assignmence to do #i do hope we can end up in a zola situation tho with a bunch of different designs from different artists #i think that'd be the best solution to the horrors of design rights conflicts

Being creative is so incredibly hard once you fall out of the habit of drawing every day. Once you stop your habit of drawing for even one day, you realize how much fun other things are as you consider making art less and less every day. I'm not gonna pretend I love making art atm and I'm not gonna come on here to apologize for that either, but this burnout has followed me for a couple of years now and art is just no fun for me currently.

I don't draw because I want to draw, I draw because it's become a habit so all my art ends up lackluster and unfinished because i have no passion to create anymore and I'm afraid until I find that passion again you won't see much of me on this account.

Sorry to anyone I still owe art to, be it commissions or trades I promise I haven't forgotten and i will not abandon these projects! I just always second guess myself and I'm more stressed about art than I ever have in my entire life.

I think it's time to give it a rest.

#i tried to small talk #and they werent rly listening and were like i just wanna get this done w so i can eat #yet talked to me abt smth random after #but the moving the laptop is what made me draw this 😭#like is that not absurd????#i dont wanna rewatch the video #but i wanna see what the camera frame looked like #bcs from what i saw my drawing is p accurate #but yeah they also talked for the majority of the time #even tho i did more research bcs they took up most of the slides #AND ALSO TOOK MY IDEAS #im like uhhhh im p sure [insert slide topic] is required!!!#and i went to go start writing it #and theyre like oh okay ill do that slide #and even tho i kept reminding them of the slide requirement #they kept being like ugh i cant think of anything #and then would take my ideas when i proposed them #like the conclusion part was to write a proposal abt what solution can be made for the current event topic #AND i took notes the night before and wrote down the idea for the solution #and i told them and theyre like oh yeah thats okay and started writing those slides #i know i should be more assertive but im so conflict avoidant and was kinda like oh. okay. ah.#lmao i hope this doesnt make me come off as someone victimizing themselves #im just annoyed 😭😭#and also this person was on my abroad trip and we all hated them #but i felt bad abt how much we hated them and theyre(I THOUGHT) much more chill in a classroom setting #so i kinda softened my hate for them and theyre the only person i know in my class rly #so im like ahhhh we should work together!#and now i remember why i dislike them 😭😭#catie.rambling.txt #catie.art.
