jiro: he's said before that he doesn't care for dating or girls, he just gets confused and wonders why it matters, so i don't think any girl would have a real chance with him, but if you're like one of the guys, then maybe.

saburo: saburo is a narcissistic asshole, so if you can stick with him for longer than a couple of weeks, then maybe it might work. Natural love is what he said that he wants, so take it slow, but you're most likely not going to have a chance with our little hacker boy

gentaro: ehhh,,, good luck, I don't see why he wouldn't try dating, I don't really have anything else to say except watch out for the teasing.

jakurai: he would definitely be a very nice partner, but he is also famous, so watch out for the grandpa's fangirls. And, watch out for drunkurai.

hifumi: ....he's terrified of women, so if you're a man there's a better chance, but, all of his fangirls will not like you.

doppo: not seeing him often during his job would be difficult, and all he wants to do on his breaks is sleep.. so... if you want to spend time with him, the best time to do it is just napping together, cuddling, and spending quality time when you can.

ICHISAMA (package deal, do not separate)

this is probably obvious (or should be obvious) from my pinned but in first place are of course my forever blorbos (and forever otp) ichiro and samatoki of hypnosis mic

it's hard to say what i like about them besides "literally everything" which is kind of funny because for like the first year-ish of me being into hpmi neither of them were my top favorites lol

and now i genuinely have to say i like them both equally, and like them both the most. out of any characters of anything ever. i typed a bunch of paragraphs after this but think i'll actually just stop here because nothing really does justice to how they make me feel (unwell, in a good way)

this post is already getting long so everything else will go under a cut! and besides ichisama in first, none of the other characters will be strictly ranked in order. mostly just listed as i think of them

2. bon my beloved, of showa genroku rakugo shinju

this is my favorite anime of all time, and what i would personally consider the best anime of all time, and bon is perhaps the single most beautiful character with the single most beautiful story i've consumed ever. i never feel any urge to make or consume fanworks of this series because it's just so mind-blowingly perfect and complete to me

i won't spoil too much about the series, but it's a tragedy, and that's something i don't read or watch much of. so it's truly exception for this to be my favorite, but it was just that good

bon is in so many ways a tragic character, and the series allows you to see him through his whole life. he's tragic in such a hauntingly beautiful way, though, and i left the series feeling like he now lives in my bones

this is probably also my favorite ishida akira role ever, which is saying a lot because he's always great. i love the anime because it gives such life to the rakugo performed in the series, and though i'm not an expert on rakugo, i felt like the performances were top-tier. and it always impresses me when voice actors take on roles that require them to perform a whole ass other art form (like rakugo or rap)

3. aomine (knb) AND grimmjow (bleach)

these are the same goddamn man i'm putting them together no one can stop me. they are a) blue b) panther-coded c) very aggro d) very aggro at a ginger mc specifically e) DEPRESSED and f) voiced by suwabe

(though honestly grimmjow's just here because they're too similar to separate, aomine's the real favorite here)

the thing with aomine is basically—

—and that paired with his tough guy/badass/fuckface manner is very appealing to me. i don't think it's even remotely possible for me to be brief in why he's so dear to me, but the short version is he's a deeply traumatized asshole and i'm into that

4. KIYOSE HAIJI RUN WITH THE WIND GUY OF ALL TIME (and various other sports guys who are single mothers)

i may have a lot of guys of all times but haiji is for real. before ichiro he was my favorite character of anything ever for a while, and he is definitely my favorite type of sports guy (so a lot of other sports guys are going to be lumped into this category with him lol)

he has an infectious passion for running and he will infect you. whether you let him or not. it's not negotiable. you will run. no matter what

i think he brings out the best in those around him, sometimes at a detrimental cost to himself. he pushes his team hard but pushes himself even harder. we stan a self-destructive king

and i'm putting natsusa number24 right in this rank with him

because while number24 is objectively Not a good anime, it's easily one of my favorite sports series and i sincerely love natsusa just as much as i love haiji. natsusa is like if someone made haiji but cranked the bitch factor up to one billion, he is the most gaslit gatekeep girlboss guy in all of sports anime and i love him for that

bonus shoutout to iura kei of shakunetsu kabaddi, usui yuuta of days, and sugawara koushi of haikyuu. gotta be my favorite flavor of sports guy

5. kaworu and all his ridiculously many expies (aka the "and then a weird guy appear" category)

basically i'm talking about these fucks

they show up, sometimes not even for very long, and all they do is cause problems (ok victor probably doesn't really belong here but he honestly does fit the mold and i'm too lazy to crop him out from this old graphic i made lol) and love another weird guy so catastrophically that it alters the course of the story

the way kaworu loves shinji the way komaeda loves hinata the way zashunina…… obsesses over shindo. like fine wine to me, chef's kiss. tbh that's why victor fits the mold for me, his and yuuri's love is less the "People Will Die" type of catastrophic but it's still life-changing, life-saving, for them both

ironically even though kaworu is a ryo expy himself i'm not. i'm not that big on ryo, i'll be honest. maybe it's because i wasn't the biggest of netflix devilman in general. i should probably read the manga sometime, might change my mind

6. SOFT BOYS natsume and rei

putting them together in part because lol look at them making the same pose on their anime covers even

these are both (natumse's book of friends and march comes in like a lion) two of my favorite series, and two of my favorite protagonists. they're soft but not weak, hurt but not broken. it just feels comfortable to spend time with them, to follow them even when they're hurting

7. CELTY MY BELOVED, of durarara

honestly celty is just cool as fuck. there are lots and lots of reasons to love her but i get so incoherent about it. it's really strange because i feel like the way narita writes women is not great in many ways, and yet... he always fucking... writes the hottest fucking women goddamn, i can't be mad about that

i always liked shinra too. because of how relatable he was lmao. i would be a weird little man about celty too i'm sorry

8. sir integra fairbrook wingates hellsing, of hellsing

god. yet another. she's just so fucking cool. massively obsessed with her. it's been too long since i've watched hellsing (and durarara for that matter) for me to remember a ton of details but her whole personality is just so appealing to me

you know the way people like fma olivier armstrong. sir integra's my armstrong

9. hei, of darker than black

once again he's just cool as fuck, also i'm chinese and it's rare to see a really good chinese character in anime, much less as a main character. darker than black is an older series at this point, but it remains one of my old favorites. second season was a bit questionable but honestly i didn't hate it. my boy got fuucked uuupppppp (said with delight)

funny story about hei is when i first started watching the show there was this moment where i thought "this is a weird detail to notice but something about his collarbones look really nice to me? they're just two lines but idk they're lovely"

THEN LATER IN THE SERIES on at least two other occasions that i can remember, maybe more, actual characters in canon commented on THIS SPECIFIC THING. HIS COLLARBONES. so what do i like about hei? what does anyone like about hei? apparently it's his collarbones lmao

i actually love both of the factions in k (there are more factions later but i'm focusing on red and blue) because they're both families in different ways, and mikoto and munakata both care about their families in different ways (yes i love that bitch munakata too)

and the way they care for their people while failing to fully let their people care for them in return is sooooo delicious as a character trait to me

Every winter, Samatoki got sick. It was never too serious, just a three-day cold, but it always left him miserable and, frankly speaking, bitchy. In a cute way, of course.

This had been going on for as long as Ichiro could remember. When they were little, Ichiro would usually catch Samatoki's cold too. He couldn't be dissuaded from sticking to Samatoki like glue, even when Samatoki was all sniffly and snotty.

Ichiro was much more mindful of germs these days, if only because he couldn't very well take care of a sick Samatoki if he got sick too.

But he was also determined to see a year when Samatoki simply didn't get sick.

"This is going to be the year," Ichiro muttered, mostly to himself, as he wrapped an extra thick and cozy scarf around Samatoki's neck. "You are not getting sick this year."

It was their last year of high school, their last year as neighbors before college tore them… well, no, college wouldn't tear them apart at all. They were planning to go to the same university, and to live together once there.

But it was still the last winter of their adolescence, and Ichiro was going to make damn sure Samatoki made it through without so much as a sniffle.

He'd gotten up bright and early on the first day of the first cold snap of the year, hurrying next door with a scarf, a coat, a thermos of honey lemon ginger tea. The cold wasn't going to get anywhere near Samatoki this year, if Ichiro had anything to say about it.

"You know just being cold isn't what makes you catch a cold, yeah?" Samatoki complained. He was standing in the middle of his bedroom, where Ichiro had caught him and started dressing him practically as soon as he rolled out of bed.

"Can't hurt to stay warm," Ichiro insisted, zipping the puffy down jacket he'd brought all the way up to Samatoki's chin, under the scarf. "Okay. Hands."

"I am not wearing any fucking mittens."

They'd had this argument last year. Samatoki's hands got cold way too easily, but he was too much of a cool guy, or whatever, for the awesome Badtz-Maru mittens Ichiro had gotten him.

Ichiro had figured Samatoki wouldn't change his mind; he'd come prepared.

"Hands," he repeated, holding out one of his own. "You'll like these, I promise."

Samatoki eyed him warily, but did eventually offer up one of his own hands.

Ichiro reached into the pocket of his own coat and fished out the gloves he'd brought. Brand new, soft and supple. They'd cost him a whole month's pay from his part-time job, but he'd caught Samatoki eying them at the shop one afternoon, which was more than enough to make the price tag worth it.

"Ichi, what…" Samatoki's eyes widened a notch, with clear recognition, as Ichiro slid the first glove on. "…you remembered."

Ichiro ducked his head, letting his own scarf come up to hide the flush that threatened to rise in his cheeks. "Other hand."

Samatoki obliged without pause this time, letting Ichiro put the other glove on him. They were a good fit, but Samatoki—Samatoki's gorgeous hands—looked good in anything.

Ichiro found himself holding on to Samatoki's hand for a second too long once the glove was on, absently smoothing his fingers over Samatoki's knuckles, before clearing his throat and moving to let go.

But Samatoki curled his fingers just then, just before Ichiro could drop his own hands away, and held him back.

"You're gonna make someone a great wife one day," Samatoki murmured.

Ichiro breathed a laugh, his scarf catching his breath and washing it over his cheeks, making them burn even hotter. "Mm. And is 'someone' in the room with us right now?"

He'd meant for it to sound a lot more like a joke than it did. Sure, he and Samatoki acted like they were half-married already; Ichiro wasn't oblivious to that. But he'd still never found the nerve to actually ask Samatoki out, to actually take that step to make things official between them. It was scary, to think there was a chance—any chance, however minuscule—that that step could break what they had.

But one day, one of them would need to be brave.

And maybe this was that day, sneaking up to them with no fanfare, just the quiet inevitability of something meant to be.

"Yeah." Samatoki squeezed Ichiro's hand a little harder, meeting Ichiro's gaze with a fond, warm smile—unshakable, unbreakable in its adoration—when Ichiro finally lifted his head. "Yeah, Ichi. Someone is."

Hello! Same Anon as the last question, I wanted to ask just because i have some characters and ships I enjoy this content with but did not want to risk making you uncomfortable, so thank you for answering! I personally really took a liking to Buster Bros as a whole and particularly Saburo. Rio/Saburo is particularly one of my favourite ships in Hypnosis Mic 😊. But, I do also really enjoy stuff between the three brothers, or even BB x MTC, or Saburo x MTC, haha.

I honestly have a lot of ideas, but I've thought a lot about the general idea of Saburo staying with Rio at his camp and what Rlo had cooked that night messed with Saburo's stomach, and you know what ensues afterwards 😉. It is completely up to you if it was a purposeful move by Rio or not, but either way I would like to think Rio enjoys it!

Another thing I like to think about or believe is that since Saburo spends a lot of time on his computer, be it hacking or playing games, he probably eats plently of junk food, and sodas, and of course this'll build up and have an effect on him. Maybe he's not embarrassed about it while he's just in his room, but outside of there, he would be far more embarrassed about it, especially if Ichiro is present.

Sorry that this is quite long! You're the only other person I've found in this fandom who enjoys these things, as I like it a lot but have nobody to share it with, if you don't mind me asking, do you have any thoughts about Saburo? (In the same vein as previous anon asks you've replied to about particular characters!) it can be just general stuff about him or with his brothers, or MTC ships, if you've ever taken a liking to those pairings. I actually don't despise MTC x BB. I always felt like each BB fit for each MTC. Samatoki x Ichiro, Jyuto x Jiro, Rio x Saburo.

Considering how Ichiro passed his cola addiction to his brothers (or how much his brothers admire him to the point where maybe they want to imitate him?), Saburo definitely consumes cola on a daily basis. When Ichiro isn't around to cook, he spends hours on end on his pc and have all sorts of unhealthy snacks, along energy drinks when he stays up till late at night.

He doesn't mind being just a bit of a slob and uncouth in the loneliness of his room. The carbonation in the beverages he consumes when he is in his own room doing his thing, being it hacking or gaming, builds up rather quickly. But he is also self-aware, so when he is around his brothers he still wants to be presentable and proper.

Saburo gets extremely embarrassed/flustered when his brothers let loose in front of him -and it happens often-, he always make sure to complain about it, with Jiro more than Ichiro. He grimaces to express his disapproval, or straight out gives Jiro scorning words.

Saburo also gets embarrassed if he is the one having backed up air in his stomach. He burps silently in public, or hold them back entirely. Doing the latter obviously makes him feel very bloated later on so he rather not do it too often. He wants to appear polite and proper in front of anybody ever. He is a kid that knows decency y'know, as opposed to his older brothers.

Whenever Saburo visits Rio to have the chance to see and try in his hands all those old, magnificent military communication devices and equipments, he can't escape the soldier's "survival meal". One of those times something messed with Saburo's stomach. He tried to not mind the storm brewing in his stomach and let whatever air emission the desperately needed to get out from whichever end, be as silent as possible. Being in the open air makes the masking a lot easier. Anywhere else Saburo would have made an embarrassment of himself. He stills fidgets and blushes, shifts around with a nervous little smile that doesn't go unnoticed to Rio.

Might be because of Rio's kind and reassuring aura but Saburo eventually gives up to Rio's inquiries and Rio -of course- immediately prepares some herbal tea to help Saburo's stomach out and apologizes for the mihap with his cooking. Maybe some of his special spices didn't settle well with the younger.

But. My personal favorite Riosabu scenario is Saburo getting insanely flustered for Rio's lack of reserve. Rio is a whole-ass tank, he packs a lot and a lot he needs to let out. Even if he isn't as obnoxious as his brothers, Saburo finds Rio's laid back behaviour (at least when it comes to bodily functions) extremely captivating. Maybe is just the way Rio seems so natural about relieving excess air.

In those cases it's hard to explain to the soldier why he's blushing, so he always ends up telling whatever poor excuse comes to his mind, and most of the times Saburo ends up being quite convincing.

when Ichiro first gets switched into Samatoki’s body, he’s incredibly confused

he has no idea what’s happened or why he suddenly feels the urge to fight a rival gang, but with one look in a mirror, he suddenly understands

he definitely freaks out a little, not knowing what to do and he knows he should probably text Samatoki, but his pride makes him stop

because he’s smart and he thinks he can figure this out on his own

Ichiro’s first thought is that you can help him figure out what’s going on, so he quickly makes his way over to your house, still trying to get the hang of walking in this strange new body

when you open the door, you’re rightfully confused at why Samatoki is showing up to your doorstep, but once Ichiro starts to explain that it’s really him, you’re even more confused

he eventually ends up telling you a secret that only the two of you know and that’s when you let him in, shocked that it’s really Ichiro inside of Samatoki’s body

Ichiro asks you to help him get his own body back and this is when you nag at him to be the bigger person and text Samatoki (who you both presume is in Ichiro’s body) for help

you can’t help but stare at him in fascination because it’s quite entertaining to watch Samatoki’s body with Ichiro’s personality

especially when Ichiro starts to laugh and get playful with you, something that you’ve never seen Samatoki do in your life

at some point, Ichiro almost forgets his predicament and when he leans in to kiss your cheek, you instinctively pull away 

and then he’s just giving you puppy dog eyes in Samatoki’s body and that’s even cuter but you really just miss your boyfriend

Samatoki and Ichiro end up on the phone together and have a verbal fight about how the other is at fault for the switched bodies

and the two agree to meet up the following day and deal with it because it’s already too late and they’re both exhausted

fortunately for them (and for you) Ichiro wakes up the next morning in his own body

the first thing he does is throw his hands around you and hug you tightly, kissing all over your face and saying how much he loves you

and that it was horrible being in Samatoki’s body and how much better his own body is

even though he secretly admired how much more muscle Samatoki had than he did and how strong he felt while he was in Samatoki’s body

but he doesn’t want to say that so he just tells you that he’s glad everything is back to normal

you tell him that you much prefer him in his own body and you take the time to admire him and reaffirm just how much you love Ichiro

Samatoki Aohitsugi

when Samatoki first finds out he’s in Ichiro’s body he freezes and just stares at himself in the mirror

he definitely does that thing where he moves his arms and head and watches his reflection do the same and then just sort of lets out a gasp

he’s immediately annoyed and pissed off because he’s a busy guy and now he’s gonna have to figure out how to get his own body back

when one of his Yakuza underlings walk into his office, he snaps at them to get back to the job he tasked them with 

and when the underling laughs and says that he doesn’t have to listen to some random kid he doesn’t know, Samatoki gives the man such an intense, hate-filled glare that he actually scares the man into believing that he’s actually Samatoki

Samatoki is quick to call it a day though because he just can’t bring himself to explain what’s happened to everyone and try to get them to believe him

he has a surge of teenage boy hormones running through him and he absolutely hate how elevated it makes all of his emotions feel

all he wants to do is go home to you, and he realizes he might not even be able to do that because he’ll have to convince you that he’s really Samatoki and not Ichiro

as soon as he walks through the door though, he’s greeted with you, standing in the kitchen, holding a knife towards him with wide eyes

when you realize it’s Ichiro, you confusedly lower the knife and ask why he’s in your apartment

Samatoki quick to hold up his hands in surrender as he explains that it’s actually him and not Ichiro 

you don’t believe him at first, but Samatoki is quick to groan, kick off his shoes, grab a beer and fall down into his seat at the table

and all his mannerisms are so perfectly Samatoki-like that you just can’t bring yourself to admit that it’s not him

so you ask him what happened but of course he doesn’t know, and then he gets into a yelling match with the real Ichiro over the phone about whose fault this is

but at the end of the day, it’s decided that they would meet up the next morning to figure things out

when Samatoki naturally leans in to kiss you goodnight, you duck away from him apologizing that you can’t kiss Ichiro

which of course only makes him sulk even more so you give him a hug and promise that you’ll give him all the kisses as soon as he gets his own body back

fortunately for the two of you, he’s switched back into his own body by the next morning 

and as soon as he realizes he’s back to his old self, he’s rolling over towards you and pulling you in for a kiss, reminding you of the promises you made last night

while you’re just happy to have your boyfriend back in one piece

Ramuda Amemura

when Ramuda gets switched in Jakurai’s body, he’s confused but finds the situation quite hilarious

he loves that he gets to experience being tall and a quick look in the mirror confirms that he’s in the body of his old friend

Ramuda pretty much ignores all of Jakurai’s calls and texts, knowing that they’ll all be asks to exchange bodies back again

and instead he spends the day enjoying being in a body that doesn’t require lollipops to survive 

at first it’s a little hard getting used to the body because his limbs are so long and he keeps knocking into stuff

he definitely goes up to Gentaro and Dice and plays a prank on them, pretending that he, in Jakurai’s body, has done something horrible to Ramuda which makes them both freak out

but when Ramuda breaks out into laughter and Dice and Gentaro see Jakurai’s body giggling and practically skipping around, they fully believe Ramuda when he tells them that it’s really him in Jakurai’s body

it’s only when he gets a text from you that he remembers the two of you made plans to meet up, so he simply shrugs and goes to meet you

but you’ve never seen Jakurai act this way before and you know he would never play a prank like this, so you end up believing Ramuda

when he goes to hug you like always, he finds that you’re a bit stiff and it’s the first time since the body switch that he gets a little sad

because he knows you won’t want to do anything with him in this body and you tell him that you just don’t feel comfortable kissing him when he’s literally in the body of another friend of yours

this makes Ramuda groan, but he knows that you’re right

he definitely lets you touch Jakurai’s hair though and the two of you curse how nice and soft it feels, wishing you could keep it even if Ramuda were to be turned back 

something about Jakurai skipping around your shared apartment and striking poses makes you laugh like crazy and Ramuda demands that you take videos as evidence

and it’s entertaining to watch Ramuda in Jakurai’s body go from happy to pissed when you both play board games

he’ll still ask you for a hug though, feeling how strange it is to be so tall when hugging you 

the next morning, Ramuda is back in his own body and he’s quick to jump on you saying how much he prefers this body over Jakurai’s 

even though he’s quite sad that he didn’t get to spend more time being tall and having such nice long hair and not having to worry about his lollipops

but having you back in his arms, kissing him hard might just be worth everything else he has to go through as himself

Jakurai Jinguji

when Jakurai first gets switched into Ramuda’s body he’s not only confused but he’s incredibly annoyed

not only is he now incredibly short and can barely reach any of his things, he also feels incredibly emotional, like there are two different sides of him pulling at each other

it’s uncomfortable and frustrating, and Jakurai immediately wants his own body back

he immediately texts Ramuda, knowing that the latter must have gotten switched into his own body, but doesn’t hear back from him and just keeps trying to call and text him incessantly

when you come home to find Ramuda sitting on your couch with his head in his hands, it’s safe to say that you have no idea what’s going on 

but when Jakurai explains that it’s really him inside of Ramuda’s body, you take a moment to figure out if Ramuda is pranking you or if it’s really your boyfriend in another body

Jakurai groans and it becomes obvious that you’ve never seen Ramuda be downtrodden before - you’ve seen him full of rage and incredibly gleeful but never disheartened

so you decide to believe Jakurai, and when you tell him this, he gives you a grateful smile and asks if you’ll drive him to Ramuda’s shop because he doesn’t trust himself to drive in this tiny form

unfortunately for the two of you, Ramuda isn’t there, and when a customer says hello to Jakurai, mistaking him for Ramuda, Jakurai is forced to put on the happy high pitched voice and pretend to be silly

and that almost makes you burst out laughing because you know how painful it must be for Jakurai to pretend to be Ramuda 

Jakurai also mentions that he’s feeling ill and he knows it’s because he doesn’t have any of those lollipops Ramuda is constantly sucking on, so he forces himself to steal some from the office in the back of Ramuda’s shop to tide him over for the rest of the day

so when you both finally get back home, you try to make dinner together, but Jakurai keeps dropping things because he’s not used to his short arms and legs

and it’s clear that he’s just not having a good time so you end up ordering out from your favorite place

but Jakurai’s taste buds are Ramuda’s and it’s too bitter for his liking which makes him even more infuriated

when he gives you a look of absolute frustration and sadness, you decide that you don’t care if he looks like Ramuda, and you wrap him up in your arms, cuddling him close to you

Jakurai is surprised at how good it feels to be so small because you’re practically able to hold all of him like this

you decide to deal with it in the morning because Jakurai’s too exhausted to do anything else and the two of you cuddle more that night

fortunately, by the next morning, Jakurai’s body is back and he couldn’t be more exhilarated 

you both celebrate with morning kisses and Jakurai’s quick to go drink some of his favorite coffee, happy that he doesn’t feel the urge to put half of the sugar bowl into the drink

✨Conspiracy theory/head cannon✨

Okay, so, hear me out;

Iruma Jyuto and Rei Amayado are brothers.

Think about it; Both are tall handsome men with black/brown hair and green eyes. Both dress more formally than casually. Both hold themselves in a way that shows that they think they're better than you.

More than any of that though, is that they both have a (learned or inherited) habit/skill of gaining information on any and everyone around them in order to benefit themselves. Rei does this in being a conman/information broker, with learning info on everyone he meets to get an income and pull the strings in the government. Jyuto does this by being a dirty cop and getting info from/for cases and using it as blackmail against his enemies in order to push him up the ranks and eventually pull the strings in the justice system.

While their behavior is uncanny, they're appearances are just as (if not more) surprising when you look at it in detail.

Family resemblance:

Both men have bright green eyes. Hypnosis Mic has exciting and unique character designs that are barely ever slap-dash, they're thought through thoroughly. Yet both Jyuto and Rei have green eyes that are the exact same color. The only other character in the hypmic cast (aside from the buster bros!!!) with green eyes is Yumeno Gentaro, and his are noticeably a much yellower and lighter green. Jyuto and Rei's green eyes are identical. Jyuto may not have the family heterochromia, but even if he did, he'd be the type to cover up the other side with a contact of a more mundane color (in this case, green). Moreover, the hypmic artstyle gives character's two eye colors anyway, and Jyuto's is a pink-ish purple. Aka, not any of the colors of the yamada family tree (Grey, red, yellow, and indago). All of them have a unique color to go with the green, and Jyuto follows that rule.

Admitably, Rei is tanner than Jyuto. But does that mean that we think Rei hasn't had a fake (or real) tan done recently?? Plus, Jyuto is a vampire in spirit and doesn't go outside durring the day unless the government is physically forcing him to do so. (No really, watch Rhyme Anima, the only scene he's in where it's not night or inside, is when MTC arrives at Chuuohku for the 1st drb.) Anyway, even though Jyuto is considerably paler than Rei, their undertones are the same. They both have an orange-red undertone. But this isn't an artsyle thing. For example, Aohitsugi Samatoki has a much pinker undertone and Sasara Nurude has a much more yellow undertone. It's subtle, but it's there.

Their outfits are the same color scheme: Black, white/gray, wine red, with gold accents. Jyuto wears a black suit, grey undershirt, wine red gloves and shoes with a gold watch, tie pin, and collar pin. Rei wears a black coat, white pants, a wine red shirt with gold shoes, necklace, belt, and watch. And again, both men have those bright green eyes that are the Yamada's family trademark and black/brown hair.

Jyuto can be seen in the buster bros!!!. Jyuto being Rei's brother also makes him Ichiro, Jiro, and Saburo's uncle. The rest of BB is very pale, and depending on the lighting, indistinguishable from Jyuto's skin tone. Saburo also has many similarities between himself, Rei, and Jyuto. Saburo's eye's are not quite as angular as Jyuto's, but are considerably more angler compared to his brother who have flatter eyes, (like Rei). Of course that could be from Saburo's mother, but... Throughout the manga, Saburo and Jyuto also react to problems in a very similar way, even sharing expressions to the dot in the BB & MTC+ manga.

Ichiro felt something coming but he didn’t want to get his hopes up, wondering if the romance light novels he read were just too deeply embedded in his head. When you do confess he manages to keep the surprised look off his face as he returns you feelings, quite pleased that his romantic instinct remained on point.

Yamada Jiro: 

Jiro is completely blind-sided. He was stuck in his own little world thinking of how he might confess but he was quite ready to do so, he still felt like your relationship was on shaky ground. He considered you a friend that he didn’t want to live without, plus it would be embarrassing to be rejected, so he’s stunned into total silence when you actually confess to him. 

Yamada Saburo: 

Saburo had absolutely no idea you had those types of feelings for him. He simply thought this was a friendship, and since he didn’t have much experience with crushes and the like... He didn’t really know how to react at first. You’re met with a total brick wall, no emotion as he tells you he needs time to think, confiding in his brothers before he finally makes the right move.

Aohitsugi Samatoki: 

He had an inkling of your feelings but he had been in deep denial that they existed because it would mean having to confront his own feelings for you. Part of him almost wishes he could deny his draw to you but he’d never been one to not go all in, and this applied to you, dedicating himself to your happiness once your feelings are exchanged. 

Iruma Jyuto: 

Jyuto felt stupid for never realizing, especially when he looks back on how you acted around him, knowing he probably could’ve figured it out before your confession if he had paid closer attention. He’s flattered by it but he needs time to think on it, knowing how big a commitment it would be and not wanting to waste your time if he wasn’t in a good enough place to offer said commitment to you. 

Rio Mason Busujima: 

Rio didn’t quite understand the extent of your feelings but he had known they were mutual; he was quite fond of you and he found your company to be more enjoyable than most. He was content with allowing things to unfold between you naturally meaning your confession was a pleasant surprise, confirming that he felt the same (and that he admired your bravery for confessing first).

Amemura Ramuda: 

Ramuda would act like he saw your confession coming from a mile away, he was very well loved so why would you be any different? But behind this unnecessarily haughty response is a man who very much wants to be truly loved by someone. It’s almost embarrassing to receive a confession so full of genuine feelings that he initially reacted with his fake, peppy persona. When he looked frustrated is when you realized the truth of your feelings was sinking in for him, Ramuda having never suspected that he’d be on the receiving end of this.

Yumeno Gentaro: 

Gentaro would have to be purposely ignorant to say he didn’t notice a few signs that suggested you were harboring feelings for him, but he liked to blame things he noticed like that on his imagination. He’s not at all surprised about your confession but to say he doesn’t appreciate you coming to him first would be a lie; he’s quite pleased to hear your words, it makes the feelings seem a little more solid. He beats around the bush at returning these feelings but they are there, just buried deep beneath a pile of denial and fear. 

Arisugawa Dice: 

Dice is completely blind-sided. He was busy being so hopelessly in love with you that he didn’t notice those feelings were returned at all. You think he must be some type of fool to not realize as it was hard to hide your care for him but Dice admitted it was because he didn’t care if you returned his feelings, because he’d still love you either way. Not to say he isn’t thrilled to hear that you love him too but his love for you was unconditional and it would remain that way no matter what happened.

Matenro 

Jinguji Jakurai: 

Jakurai was well-aware of your feelings, so painfully aware that it hurt to have to continuously deny them to himself as he felt unworthy of receiving them. The happiness it would bring him to have you by his side would be immeasurable but does he truly deserve it after all he had done? Would he truly make a good partner for you? It’s easier to ignore his feelings than act on them but when you confront him with your own, he gives in instantly. 

Izanami Hifumi: 

Hifumi was adept at detecting real love from infatuation, at knowing when someone actually felt a certain way about him or if they were blinded by his beauty. It still made him nervous because having a genuine love was a heavy burden to have but he welcomed the challenge if it was you who loved him. He knew that your heart was good and that your confession was delivered directly from it, hoping he can do it justice when he returned your feelings. 

Kannonzaka Doppo: 

Doppo is in complete shock that you accepted his confession let alone confessed right back to him. He doesn’t know what to do with his swimming thoughts or sweaty hands, wringing his tie between his hands as he waits for you to take it back and say it was all just a prank. When you instead take his nervous hands in your own, managing to calm him with just a touch, he feels his heart suddenly overwhelmed and he could practically cry at how lucky he felt.

Harai Kuko: 

Kuko had made his feelings for you apparent from the very start, his crush on you quite open as he unabashedly flirted with you when he had the chance. Whether you felt the same or not hadn’t mattered because Kuko would care deeply for you either way meaning he didn’t look too deeply into how you acted around him, taking each day as it came until he felt he could truly be a good partner for you. 

Aimono Jyushi: 

Jyushi is completely caught off-guard, his own feelings having completely blinded him to yours; he had assumed all the returned affection was him simply seeing what he wanted to. He had planned on confessing to you himself, thinking about it over and over, stopping you mid-confession so he could go first (that’s how it had been rehearsed after all). 

Amaguni Hitoya: 

Hitoya knew. He would have to know, it was his job to carefully observe, to pick up on the tiny little details, but it didn’t mean he realized just how far those feelings went. He didn’t think he was worthy of them, thinking he would be a disappointment of a boyfriend but having to admit to himself that he’d regret it if he didn’t at least try to give himself a chance at happiness with you. 

Dotsuitare Hompo 

Nurude Sasara:

Sasara is in an odd in-between world where he’s both aware of your feelings and in complete denial that they actually exist. He thinks you might be trying to strike up a comedy bit with him when you confess, taking on the role of the dramatic dame who felt the romance was too tragic to ever work out. Fortunately for him, you were not attempting to recruit him for some comedy duo and that your confession was genuine, Sasara scrambling to gather the rest of his pride before you left him in the dust for the stupid joke he tried to make out of your confession.

Tsutsujimori Rosho:  

Rosho can’t fathom where your feelings for him came from. Being surrounded by interesting personalities like Sasara and Rei left him feeling uninteresting, not that he held any bitterness towards them about it as he was who he was. But to hear that you wanted him, to hear that you were so fond of him you were willing to put yourself out there for potential heartbreak just to get your feelings across to him. He had no idea this was coming and is thus unprepared to respond, losing his composure entirely as he fumbled to find the words to show he returned your feelings tenfold.

Amayado Rei: 

Rei is well-aware of your feelings, so strikingly aware that it almost feels like he’s purposely stringing you along by indulging you in him. He’s always had this way of making you feel special and while you’re sure he’s working this magic on other women, you do your best to accept your place in his life. You are, at least, in some way very important to Rei and he tells you that while he hears your feelings, there’s a few more things he must do before he can accept them. He hoped that you were ready to rule at the top beside him, promising your patience would be rewarded in some way.

Ichiro

months have passed since the last time ichiro saw you back at chuohku, and he still had a heavy heart each and every time he thought about what had happened

as much as he hated your decision, as much as it hurt him, at the end of the day, it was what you had chosen (even if it didn’t seem like you were you in the moment), and ichiro couldn’t do much about that

he thought that he had moved on after months of pondering and healing. ichiro had foolishly thought that if you were to show up at his doorstep the very next day, after having disappeared and lost contact with him, then all those old feelings wouldn’t resurface

but he was dead wrong

when he found you at odd jobs yamada, avoiding his gaze as to hide the fact that you were quite nervous about this confrontation, ichiro was shocked to say the least

all the love he held for you, the emotions that he thought he had buried and gotten rid of, came back in a split second

he felt an urge to run up to and embrace you, thankful that you were safe and seemingly better. the blank and emotionless stare that was pretty unnerving had left your eyes, all the emotion and humanity returning to them

yet, at the same time, ichiro was hesitant to approach you

the last time he did so, he had gotten hurt, and quite frankly, ichiro wasn’t sure if he would be able to deal with that all over again

plus, you had betrayed him, and that was something he couldn’t find it in himself to forgive. once trust was broken, it was difficult to rebuild

however, the moment you apologized and explained everything, from the hypnosis to the hostility, ichiro threw that thinking all away and immediately forgave you

honestly, he couldn’t help but feel guilty for thinking that you, of all people, would leave him. the two of you deeply loved and cared for one another, of course it wouldn’t be so easy for you to simply up and leave or even like you to act so cold

ichiro is so overwhelmed about, well, everything. not only were his emotions getting the best of him-from his feelings of guilt and anger at what had happened to you to those of relief and love for seeing you again-but the sudden info dump was simply too much

and with everything piling up and with finally getting to embrace you once more, the two of you, needless to say, began to tear up a bit

for the next few months or so, he may be a bit overprotective though he wouldn’t necessarily realize it unless you point it out. ichiro simply didn’t want such an incident to happen again

after all that happened, ichiro was relieved that you were finally by his side again

Samatoki

even after you had left, he never gave up on looking for you and trying to bring you back, no matter how difficult or impossible it seemed to be at times

he refused to believe that you had left him. surely there must’ve been some sort of outside influence, especially since he didn’t like the dead look that he saw

everything was pointing to the fact that you were being controlled, but he really had no way of knowing that concretely

samatoki knew that it was going to be difficult to find you now that you worked for chuohku, but well, life wasn’t fair so it was to be expected

he certainly didn’t think it’d be that easy, however, not expecting it when you showed up to his hideout out of the blue one day, looking the same as before save for the blank gaze

when samatoki saw you standing in the doorway to his room, too nervous to step in or say a word considering what had just happened, he didn’t hesitate to rush to you and immediately embrace you, taking in your scent and warmth

even if this was nothing more than a dream, samatoki didn’t care in the slightest. for now, you were here, right in front of him, and he’d relish in your touch before you were gone again

honestly, he doesn’t even really care for your explanation right in that instant, simply more than content with the fact that you were finally in his arms again

and for a few moments or so, he didn’t let you talk. all that mattered was that you were back, and if this did turn out to be a dream, then samatoki wanted to take in your scent and warmth before you were gone

of course, you did eventually explain everything to him, from how you got hypnotized to how you were ordered to leave him, though towards the end you couldn’t help but omit a few tiny details given how he looked like he was about to burst with anger

seeing you standing in front of him, safe and very much alive, samatoki felt relieved and happy, overwhelmingly so. there was no longer that tense atmosphere around you that he had felt beforehand, and this time, he could tell that it was you that was standing in front of him now

but he also felt rage, at both himself and chuohku

at chuohku for, well, hypnotizing you as well as separating you both, but also at himself for being so weak and incompetent

seriously, how could samatoki live with himself knowing that he hadn’t been able to save both you and nemu. you had to break out of the hypnosis by yourself and find him again, not the other way around

regardless, for now, samatoki wouldn’t let you go

definitely got quite overprotective for a while after, practically never leaving your side, even if you were simply going out for a few small chores

he had already lost you once, and he certainly wasn’t about to go through it again

you knew that he had good intentions, and you were thankful that he did care, but it did get a bit much at times

needless to say, however, you were happy to have reunited with him, and so was he

Sasara

the entire thing had hit him pretty hard to say the least

i can see sasara begin to ruminate and perhaps even blame himself on not noticing how you were beginning to feel about the your guys’ relationship

it seemed like no matter what he did, sasara was simply not good at people and anything pertaining to relationships; and that realization hurt him to say the least. not only had he lost the person that he loved with all his heart, but now he was all alone

even though he moved on, sasara still longed for your presence. he often found himself wishing that you did, in fact, come back one day, and you guys would resume your relationship as if nothing ever happened

he had no idea that he was not only a comedian, but also some sort of genie (he kids, but it’s strange that he got his wish not even a few days after the fact)

a knock on the door during the late afternoon could’ve meant anything, but he certainly wasn’t expecting to see you, though it was a pleasant surprise nonetheless

he’s quick to open the door and accept you in, despite the fact that you had left without a trace a few months prior. sasara was sure that you had your reasons, even if they didn’t make much sense to him right then and there

he still held a lot of love for you, so as long as you did apologize and explain why you did it, then sasara thought that he’d be able to forgive you

at first, sasara stays quiet, not really knowing what to say in such a strange turn of events. sure he’s thought of this scenario hundreds, if not thousands, of times before, but now that it was reality, he pretty much froze up

breaking the awkward tension between you two, you apologized for everything that happened, explaining how you were hypnotized by chuohku one day and had no choice but to comply

honestly, he does feel a bit guilty for not realizing it sooner and for thinking that you actually did feel that way, but sasara brushes that feeling off for now and simply embraces you

right now, all that mattered was the fact that you had returned safe and sound, no longer hypnotized and under the control of someone else

of course, he couldn’t help but get angry at chuohku for having done such a thing, but sasara also knew that there wasn’t much he could do about that aspect of it all. they were simply much stronger and larger than sasara, so it’d be a waste of energy to go after them

package day!

this order was originally supposed to be just one mug... but guess who has no self control?

first up is the pop up komaeda! i skipped him when his preorders were up, because i would’ve been sad (and scared) to have him without hinata and a pop up hinata hadn’t yet been announced back then

luckily komaeda was still in stock when hinata was announced just recently, so of course i grabbed him

in true komaeda fashion, he nearly killed me while i was getting him out of the box. first i couldn’t find the x-acto knife i brought over for unboxing, only to realize i was almost sitting on it. then i cut my finger on his box, which i didn’t feel until i was like “huh why’s there blood all over my hand”

but! i can’t even be mad, it is komaeda after all

originally i was a bit bummed because it looked like there was a defect on his head (i mean physically not, like, psychologically we don’t need to talk about that right now)

but luckily after looking around i found the missing piece of his hair, and it plugged back in pretty neatly

next we have gin my beloved, and two nyanko-sensei mousepads. amiami recently reran the bleach parasol stands that were out of stock, so i managed to grab my two evilest blorbos. gin was in stock so he’s home already, but sou-chan-taichou was on preorder so he’ll be arriving with a future order

the mousepads... yeah, i told myself to choose just one, but sensei was way too cute to resist so both of them absolutely had to come home

moving on!

this mug + plush set was out of stock by the time i discovered it existed, but one randomly became available and samatoki managed to grab it as an early christmas present for ichiro (he got a little shy while ichiro was opening it)

reminder to self that i need to wash ichiro’s hair again

now these! little! nightmares! were such a horrible pain to get, but they are so cute that it was absolutely worth it

if you know me you know i would never get aomine without kise or vice versa, but i missed the preorder window for all these listings and could only pick them up if/when someone else cancelled and a preorder slot became available again

first aomine was in stock, but kise wasn’t. then kise came in stock, but by then aomine was out of stock again. i’d almost given up on getting them but checking the listings relentlessly paid off in the end, and i managed to grab a few

(akakuro gave me much fewer problems, they came back in stock at basically the same time)

last but not least, we have the only thing that was actually supposed to be in this order... a heat-changing mug! the transition is smooth as hell, though not as quick as depicted here (had to speed the gif way up to make it small enough for tumblr)

i think this is going to be my new favorite coffee mug, because who doesn’t feel like kamukura before their first cup of coffee in the morning, right?

Nothing felt worse than having to relearn how to hug Yamada Ichiro.

And Samatoki said that as someone who knew what it felt like to be shot.

Even though Ichiro had been scrawnier back in their TDD days, like a still-growing puppy in its awkward, gangly phase, he'd always given the best hugs. He threw his whole body into it whenever he hugged Samatoki, as though he thought each one might be the last he ever got to give.

Samatoki missed those hugs.

They didn't come back like magic, just because he and Ichiro kinda-sorta made up.

Maybe Ichiro still couldn't fully let his guard down around Samatoki; that was fair. And maybe Samatoki couldn't set aside enough of his pride to just pull Ichiro into his arms.

When they first started to see more of each other again, they were all awkward nods and little to no eye contact. They still bickered and bantered sometimes, more out of habit than anything.

They got to handshakes, eventually. And some time after that, those handshakes evolved into quick, one-armed pseudo-hugs that never lasted more than a split second. Ichiro would always let go and pull away in a hurry, like he'd been burned.

"What exactly are you waiting for?" Jyuto asked, when Samatoki absently let it slip—just how much he missed Ichiro's hugs—while they were out for drinks one night. "Do you intend to wait until one of you is shot and bleeding out, to take him into your arms one last time?"

Samatoki pulled a face at the scathingly scornful look Jyuto was giving him over the top of his glasses. Rio leaned forward a little, looking like he might intervene at any moment.

Maybe Jyuto had a point, though. Even if he was being a bit of a bitch about it.

What was Samatoki waiting for?

When he climbed into a cab that night, excusing himself early after just two drinks, he gave the driver an address that wasn't his own. He didn't plan anything, didn't think anything through. It wasn't until he was standing in front of Ichiro's door, one hand raised to knock, that he realized he didn't have the first clue what he was doing.

The door swung open before he could figure it out.

Ichiro blinked when he found Samatoki standing there. He had a bag of trash in one hand, and he was wearing sandals, basketball shorts, and an old t-shirt with a smattering of holes near the hem. It wasn't like he was all dressed up, but the sight of him made Samatoki's chest ache with want.

So he hugged him.

Samatoki stepped past the threshold, wrapped his arms around Ichiro, and hugged him tight. He didn't care that he could faintly smell the food waste in the bag of trash Ichiro had been about to take out. He didn't care that Ichiro seemed a little hesitant to lift an arm to hug him back.

"Samatoki…?" It took a moment, but Ichiro did eventually settle a hand more firmly at the small of Samatoki's back. "What are you doing here? Did something happen?"

"No, nothing. It's just—" Samatoki broke off with a laugh, which clearly surprised them both. Ichiro must have thought he was losing his mind, and Samatoki couldn't blame him. He felt a bit nuts, with the way he had his face pressed to Ichiro's shoulder, smiling despite himself. "I just missed this. I've been missing this. So bad."

Ichiro moved, but only to set down the trash bag he was holding. He didn't step back or try to pull away, and even though he still seemed a little tentative and unsure, he did let his other hand come up to join the first on Samatoki's back.

"This?" he prompted.

"You," Samatoki whispered. "You and your hugs. Do you know, Ichi, that you always gave the best hugs? Do you know that I've lay awake at night, more times than I can count, wondering if you'd still feel the same tucked under my arms?"

A sharp intake of breath sounded near Samatoki's ear. Ichiro was still for a moment longer before he hugged Samatoki back, really hugged him, tight enough to squeeze just about all the air out of his lungs. He hugged Samatoki with such urgency that Samatoki knew, right away, he'd never been alone in missing this.

Ichiro must have had his own reasons, for having held back all this time. But the relief he felt, knowing he didn't have to hold back anymore, was palpable everywhere they touched.

That was how Ichiro's brothers would find them later, when they got back from a grocery run.

i've had nothing but hypmic in my head recently so have hypnosis mic characters & their trusted pokemon partners 🤭 full post under the cut

JAKURAI: AUDINO. but like, specifically shiny jakurai-purple audino. it's a healer, but can deal surprising psychic damage. would be a solid partner for jakurai to lean on.

HIFUMI: ROSELIA. is anyone surprised? with his rose imagery & grace & beauty hifumi is clearly a grass trainer. petal dance, charm, roses. plus all the ladies at his host club think roselia is sooo pretty & i like to think roselia helps him out with the house chores like cooking and cleaning

DOPPO: RAICHU. i feel in my heart doppo has an explosive electric type. perhaps hifumi helped pick a partner for him as evident in alolan's raichu's extreme cuteness. can be a little energetic for him at times, but a reliable partner who helps him recharge as needed.

ICHIRO: ARCANINE. someone ordinary and friendly yet intimidating and powerful as need dictates. i believe they met when it was a growlithe & they grew together as partners- perhaps it evolved when ichiro needed it most, when tdd broke up and he strengthened his resolve. a loyal and strong choice.

JIRO: PANCHAM. jiro is an ordinary boy with lots of potential, but ultimately he wants to follow in ichiro'sw footsteps with a similar pokemon. pancham is an average fighting type pokemon. they're equally joyful, quick to fight, & a little absent-minded. like ichiro's pokemon pancham will eventually evolve into a strong, loyal, and big partner as pangoro.

SABURO: EEVEE. saburo's young, the youngest cast member and still a child. he still has a long way to go as the last of the brothers to get a pokemon. a young but capable partner would suit him, able to grow as saburo does. eevee won't grow as big as his older brothers' pokemon, but will evolve into something just as fierce + more mischevious. perhaps a jolteon or umbreon? it would be just as spunky as saburo too.

SAMATOKI + GRANBULL. nemu suggested a snubbull when they were younger half-jokingly because she thought it was cute & it reminded her of him in a way. he caved; that loyal partner has evolved. unique color, which doesn't really go with his scheme at all, but just as short in temper & strong in fist as samatoki. honestly i wouldn't put it past him to dye its fur to fit his aesthetic

JYUTO: HOUNDOOM. it's a cop pokemon. i don't really have anything else to say about this

RIO: SCIZOR. rio is an ex-military outdoorsman, so i felt a steel bug type would fit him well. scizor helps out with the camp & probably performs well in hand to hand combat training. i bet this pokemon also knows how to shoot a g*n. it keeps rio company in the forest.

RAMUDA: SYLVEON. he's difficult because of his complex nature but i ended up sticking with my og choice bc it fits his brand so well- cute fashion designer singing about candy & ladies. don't think however due to appearances that this duo can't fight, they can absolutely obliterate a bitch. sylveon can feel its trainers emotions through the ribbons, so probably helps calm ramuda down from his rages. ramuda gets attached to it even though he knows it's a bad idea...

GENTARO: MIMIKYU. his mc name is phantom- clearly a ghost pokemon fits him well. additionally, gentaro is a mystery wrapped in lies... the mischievous costumed pokemon suits him. it keeps him company as he writes, partakes in his teasing, and lashes out when gentaro does. possibly the only one on the planet who gentaro confides in 100% but even then gentaro probably keeps some stuff to himself.

DICE: ZOROARK. somewhat uncommon, indicative of dice's mystery past...? evolved from a zorua, his closest partner. still mischievous & will occasionally pull pranks; backs dice up in a pinch. protective. you KNOW dice gave it a matching hair chain.

KUKO: LATIAS? briefly ignoring legendary status. it's a dragon type which is his brand, even if it's not the same type as his jacket / speakers. i admit i don't know much about buddhist monks but i thought a psychic type could be a good match. also latias is red lol, though its pretty face doesn't match kuko's filthy mouth...

JYUSHI: UMBREON / SPOINK ?? with him i'm really torn. i can't decide between superficial or significant. visually, umbreon is literally this guy's exact aesthetic- perhaps chosen for the vibe after he reinvents himself. story-wise, i feel i have to stick to the pig theme. ofc, spoink was a gift from his grandmother & he loves her dearly.

HITOYA: MIGHTYENA. a respectable pokemon for a successful lawyer. fierce when needed, but an mature pokemon- they're old friends. also fits the half white / half black heaven & hell aesthetic he has going on. this mightyena has and will again bite someone in the name of justice

SASARA: MR MIME. i'm sorry about this as i'm not creative. comedian character & my first thought is the scary mime. in my defense, imagine them in a comedy duo. i think he could have some kind of lucky cat pokemon instead but i'm not sure who could fit that description.

ROSHO: STARMIE. first of all, it's right next to mr mime in the pokedex (lol). but also it's kind of his color scheme and matches his seeing-the-world-differently energy ?? i originally thought noctowl for him because he's a teacher who wears glasses and his mc name is wisdom, but reconsidered it as too on the nose & not really his exact vibe. i'm not sure if starmie is better but it's 3am

REI: PERSIAN. this sleazy rich person pokemon. team rocket boss has the same one for a reason. rei is also totally the guy to have a legendary pokemon in his back pocket, but he can't exactly reveal that stuff in public as he's more of a behind-the-scenes string puller. if hypmic was in the pokemon universe then he was probably the one to genetically engineer mewtwo tbh

Bahahah have you heard of the new mixed up units from the latest drama track? Samatoki, Rei and Doppo are in a group together so that's gotta be interesting but hey! Maybe Doppo will get two protectors

I really love the mixed up divisions honestly I think they’re hilarious! My thoughts below~

I definitely think the Samatoki/Rei/Doppo one would be crazy cause there’s no way Samatoki and Rei could be in the room together for long, Rei would antagonize the hell out of Samatoki and Samatoki would fight back and Doppo would just be in the corner freaking out until he explodes and goes off on their asses and then Rei and Samatoki are just like...damn, Doppo’s actually good.

And we need to talk about Jakurai and Hitoya getting put on the same team like ??? they’re friends-to-enemies bit is hilarious but I love that they get to be together again, and the fact that they put the oldest characters with Saburo just makes me laugh that much harder, he would just be rolling his eyes the whole time like ‘these oldies uggh’ but the three of them are some of the smartest characters so they would definitely be a tough team to beat when they actually band together

Ichiro’s team is definitely the wholesome one like Rosho is going to adopt the two children and Jyushi would definitely look at Ichiro as a cool guy, similar to how he views Kuko and I can imagine Kuko being all pissy when Jyushi comes back to BAT and tells him about how awesome Ichiro is hahaha

Sasara’s team is definitely going to be a bunch of pranksters like omg who thought Sasara and Gentaro were a good idea, the word play that is going to go on between them would be fantastic and Jiro would just be along for the ride, wholeheartedly supporting whatever wacky plans they decide to do next (but then when they get serious for the battles it would be so good omg)

Kuko with Dice is also going to be insanely chaotic cause I feel like they’re either going to love or hate each other, but then throwing Juto in there?? Omg Kuko is going to find it hilarious to antagonize the hell out of Juto and the cop is gonna get so fed up so fast especially if Kuko and Dice just kept going off at each other or god forbid Kuko and Dice get along and they join forces to annoy Juto. If they do, Juto is going to be so done because the former two would just be screaming and goofing off and having an amazing time together and he would be the only one trying to remain calm...which he doesn’t end up doing~

Ramuda with Hifumi and Riou is an interesting trio! I think Ramuda would definitely steal Hifumi’s jacket just to watch him squirm, but when Riou literally picks him up and makes him give it back, Ramuda’s low key impressed. I feel like Riou wouldn’t understand a lot of the flirty things Hifumi says, but Ramuda would actually quite enjoy spending time with Hifumi because he has quite a big personality like the rest of Fling Posse. Hifumi and Ramuda forcing Riou to get a makeover and be their models is hilarious to me haha and Riou would definitely cook for both of them and I actually think they would both enjoy it~
