adhd is when you shoot for the moon but you forgot the rocket fuel and by the time you realize it everyones already on the moon and then you panic and crash into the sun and it explodes

#my meds stopped working and i didnt know thats something that can fucking happen apparently???#like i knew eventually my body can get used to medicine that the effect kind of dulls but for some reason this time around i thought #that my body just decided to become lazier since the meds were already working anyway. cuz thats the thing as soon as smth is made #easier for me even if its the thing thats supposed to make the disability less disabling i get too relaxed and end up fucking up anyway #so i assumed my fucking cells worked the same way LMAO. they still technically work like i can feel my energy spike when it kicks in #but everything else like focus and memory went down and i thought oh so its just a me problem then. my habits are getting worse #even though ive been doing everything the same like setting reminders checking my schedule. hell ive been setting MORE reminders #to make up for the memory thing and i didnt even realize i just knew i had to compensate since it feels like my memory is getting #worse again. and i only figured this out bc my brother showed me an icecreamsandwich video with him talking about the EXACT FUCKING #THING IM GOING THRU WORD FOR WORD #i have to bring this up with my doctor next week so maybe i have to take different meds. i wonder if this will be a recurring thing #i guess one thing that hasnt changed is that im still slow as hell and stuff only comes to me 5 hours after the fact #its 6 in the morning and i only JUST realized that the word froyo is probably short for frozen yogurt #yapping #adhd

I just made the Mama Mario soup.

I can see why Luigi got so excited, that stuff good.

#it's vegan too if anyone is into that #I did change up the recipe though. I didn't have shallots so I used 2 small onions instead of 1 to compensate #and I left out the celery because everyone in the family hates the stuff #but even then!!! hearty and healthy! 10/10 #One thing I would've done differently is start early to make some homemade bread #I just did the lazy method of slapping together bisquick biscuits #Not a great replacement but better than no bread at all #food posting

i have this little idea in my head that whenever the victors talk to each other, and one asks how the other is doing, and the answer is really ‘not good at all,’ they instead say, “oh, you know. life of a victor.” and EVERYBODY just understands that means they are crashing and burning but there is nothing that can be done about it, so they just reply and agree, “life of a victor.” and for some reason, that solidarity of just understanding what each other is going through means so much to me.

Payment for surrogacy gets really complicated because on one hand paying for it means most surrogates will end up being lower class women who need the money and will be easier to exploit, something which is rife in the current implementation of surrogacy, but on the other hand being pregnant is genuinely like body horror to me and I think that if you go through that for someone else you should get a billion dollars.

#surrogacy #this is a joke post but also like... no i'm being serious #i understand why paying for something potentially dangerous is immoral #on the other hand... this undermining of consent is the basis our entire capitalistic system lives on #to force people into exhausting cruel undepraying and yes dangerous jobs #so why is it that only for something like childbirth are we like noooo they cant be financially compensated for this incredibly hard thing #like why is ONLY this thing bad why isn't it just as bad if that same woman who would've become a surrogate has to work in a sweatshop #i think it's also got to do with our mythologizing around pregnancy as this wonderful beauty of nature thing #we are capable of recognizing the body horror when it's unwanted (well. some of us.)#but pregnancy doesn't stop being incredibly physically and mentally taxing just because the baby is wanted #so we see being paid for it as this corruption of the 'natural' 'good' pregnancy and therefore obviously worse. which. i am not a fan of
