i really wish there was a comprehensive guide on how to read all of the batman (& co) comics in order because my control freak ass is so overwhelmed by this all. like i keep jumping from batman: dark ages to batman: year one to batman: the dark night returns because i am so confused. and when do i start adding in robin comics? or oracle comics? i have an aneurysm every time i open the dc infinite app it is getting BAD. any suggestions are so so so appreciated

Cass, who knows Dick sometimes just needs someone to sit with him (he feels too much to articulate it all — every time he opens his mouth to speak, he chokes on his words. she knows how it feels. she doesn’t need him to speak to understand him, anyway).

Cass, who takes shit from everyone BUT Jason, because she knows Jason needs to be treated like a wounded dog, not an angry one (she famously gives him the “are you serious right now” look every time he snaps at her. He always apologizes right after).

Cass, who finds Tim on his bathroom floor, passed out from exhaustion, and drags him to her room to sleep so she can keep an eye on him and make sure no one interrupts his sleep (she constantly sees how exhausted he is, pushing himself harder and harder to prove himself to Bruce instead of acknowledging how exceptional he already is).

Cass, who knows that Damian is still a kid, and routinely watches kid movies or plays with LEGOS just so he can join her without being embarrassed (she knows that there is nothing more humiliating to him than his desire to just be a kid.)

Cass, who has never been afraid of Damian, not once, even when he is swinging his sword at her and calling her cruel things (she knows he was never taught to be gentle — his words hurt her but knowing that his anger will linger his whole life hurts worse).

Cass, who taught Duke how to read people better when he first joined the family so he never felt less than or out of the loop (she sees the insecurity on him like a heart on his sleeve — he is not beautiful yet, but he could be.)

Cass, who uses her brothers as canvases to practice her makeup skills on. Cass, who gives her brother’s relationship advice but says it like it’s the most obvious answer in the world. Cass, who forces her brothers to dance with her at Galas because they should be having fun. Cass, who still doesn’t really understand the concept of birthdays, so every few months gets a gift for each of her brothers so she makes sure she never misses one. Cass, who knows everything about her brothers, down to how they are feeling at each exact moment. Cass, who can take down any one of her brothers in a fight and pushes them to be better heroes. Cass, who loves her brothers dearly and would do anything for them.

jason constantly thinks about how replaceable he is. and not because tim replaced him as robin, but because when jason died, the world didn't stop. it kept on moving. the earth spun and everyone moved on, but jason never could. not even after he came back to life. sure, he had a new life with the league, but everything he cared about moved on without him. they didn't need him.

when he wakes up in the middle of the night, clawing at his throat because he is suffocating in that coffin all over again, he reaches for his phone to call dick. but then he remembers he isn't fifteen anymore. he isn't dick's brother anymore, either.

listen, i have no idea what’s currently canon in dc comics and i really don’t care to BUT regardless of what continuity we’re in, i think jason todd might be the funniest character of all time. just the biggest hypocrite ever and i’m obsessed. like, so many people have pointed out how crazy it is to be pissed off at tim for replacing him as robin when he literally replaced dick while dick was still alive, but then to go and parade around bludhaven as a murderous nightwing while dick is (again) very much still alive and THEN form a team with dick’s ex girlfriend and best friend??? jason todd is THE definition of “replacement” or what the fuck ever he calls tim and i actually find it so funny. stay crazy girl <3

my dc/dceu hot take is that if cleo cazo (ratcatcher 2) met jason todd, they would be be friends. i mean cleo and bloodsport are really close, and that guy has killed like thousands of people, so i don’t think she would have any hang ups on jason’s… lifestyle. and cleo would see past jason todd’s backstory, see past red hood, and really treat jason like jason. jason todd needs someone who sees him for who he is instead of what he has done, and when he realizes cleo does that, he would be so immediately drawn to her. they would be best friends and i will not take criticism on that!!!!

Tim's Special interest as a kid was The Batman and now his special interest is cold cases/technology

Damian Wayne's Special interests are Animals and Swords, by swords I mean there origins, historical relevance, how they are made, ect.
