What is it called when your brain takes a painful memory of something mildly bad happening to your loved ones and then makes you replay it in your head over and over again for days, weeks, months, and even after years and your brain just won't stop thinking about it and it won't let you work or study or engage with people around you.

I mean I'm still thinking about two bad memories, both related to two of my family members, one happened almost five years ago and the other almost a year ago. I need to work but i can't stop thinking about them. Ugh I hate it here lol.
