Everyone Can Play Free Online Games
At the point when weariness hits, there are way too many various things that you can pursue with a smidgen of fervor. You can stare at the TV, a film, or even a book; however, there are only so many times you can watch or peruse exactly the same thing before that also becomes exhausting. You can play tabletop games or cards... in any case, you will generally need to have others playing to make that work. You can go out places and get things done... yet, that can be costly, you might not have any desire to go out all alone, you probably won't be helpful to take off from the house, or it could essentially be pouring down with downpour and blowing a storm - not exactly going out climate!
So what might you, at any point, do? You want something that you can do inside the solace of your own home, without purchasing or pay for anything, without requiring others around to help and, in particular, something that will keep you intrigued with a long stretch of time of differed and customized diversion. Alright, what about free internet games?
In excess of 86 million individuals play some type of free web based game. Youngsters, elderly folks, scholastic individuals, athletic individuals, individuals with top-of-the line occupations, individuals in school... As such, a wide range of individuals, with a wide range of lives, are becoming amped up for nothing playing web based games. However, why? What's going on with all the fighting?
Free Web based Games Since the time that games have been presented on the web, their prominence and overall acknowledgment has developed dramatically! Individuals have forever been watching out for new types of diversion and energy in their day-to-day routines, and the universe of web based gaming is continually developing and changing to suit everybody's cravings, now and in the future.
For those of you new to web based gaming, internet games include messing around on the PC while being associated with the web. A few free games likewise permit you to add them to your own sites; and frequently, gaming sites will permit you to present your own games that you have made to be played by others.
Tumblr media
However, here is the data that you are truly holding on to hear... What precisely are these web based games about, and will there really be one that I need to play? What's more, the response is basic. There are a bigger number of games than you might perhaps cook up all alone, importance there makes certain to be numerous that you will generously appreciate. There are basically a great many internet games accessible on the various sites available for you to browse. There are the arcade games that everybody grew up with as a youngster; web based shooting match-ups for the beginner marksmen; there are system games for the individuals who need to test their brains against the PC; riddles to give your cerebrum a work out; sport games for the game insane; hustling games for individuals who like quick vehicles; battling games for the starry-eyed kung-fu aces; young ladies games and young men games, and children games and grown-up games. Furthermore, inside every one of these classifications is a full scope of various subjects, characters, objectives, and troubles. Take internet shooting match-ups or model. The decisions for internet shooting match-ups range from straightforward, objective practice, to full on battle situations.
Why pick free games? So here is the central issue... for what reason would it be advisable for you to pick free internet games over each and every other source of amusement? Here are only a couple of truly valid justifications why:

3. They give long stretches of energy and association—free web based games offer you the chance to test your abilities and brains against your PC, so don't simply plunk down and sit in front of the TV while your cerebrum gradually decays away—use it!
4. You can't reject that triumphant inclination - you make certain to find a game that you are great at and win. This gives you a characteristic high, and can raise your confidence and self-assurance.

Kung Fu Hustles with a Filler Episode
Tumblr media
It took them two seasons and four episodes… But The CW's Kung Fu finally has a fun episode. And a good one at that! Sure, I still have some gripes on the narrative--but I could shrug it off because the show really embraced its genre here.
So let's list the things that are good:
Number one. The opening scene with the family. That was a great way to deliver exposition without just info-dumping on viewers. An as an added bonus, it really establishes a great relationship between Nicky's family that can be juxtaposed with Henry's own relationship with his dad which also gets brought up in the episode.
Number two. Trimming down unnecessary screen time! I love that the writer of the episode didn't shoehorn in Papa Shen, Zhi-Lan, and the ghost of Pei-Ling in this episode. We got an update as to what Papa Shen is doing in the opening scene, and then the writer trusted the viewers to know that he's doing okay for the rest of the episode. Zhi-Lan got a mention, but we really didn't need to know what she was doing so I'm glad she wasn't forced down our throats.
Number three. They actually utilized Dennis! He was basically eye-candy in season one, so I'm glad they finally realized he can contribute something to Nicky's kung fu hustle too. And plus points for calling back to his sister Chloe's criminal past! That was a very pleasant surprise. I even forgot the fact that Dennis double-parked even though there was clearly an open parking space outside the bakery where Althea's car was stolen.
Number four. Evan is finally being taken out of the District Attorney's Office. It's not like the writers know what the office does in real life anyway. There's better use for Evan as a lawyer for the helpless. It'll bring him more into Nicky's world too.
Number five. Fun villains. Richard Speight, Jr. was a delight in Supernatural (during the first five years; I can't say anything about the other ten years since I stopped watching after Season 5.) and he was also a delight in this episode too. Same goes for Briana Buckmaster. I would love to see them become recurring characters in the show.
Number six. Henry's dad isn't just a source of drama. He's gonna be a source of Drama with a capital D too! Henry's such a blank slate that I'm glad he's finally getting some meat into his narrative bones.
And those are the things I remember that I want to celebrate. But I want to point out things that I think the writers could work on more too:
First: they need to figure out what Ryan's situation is with his residency. He can't keep getting roped into Nicky's shenanigans because that's gonna be unrealistic. Especially with everything that's public knowledge about medical residency. Also, they can close the book on Ryan's potential love story with Sebastian. Ryan's had more chemistry with Ronnie (actor Jag Bal) than he did with Sebastian.
Second: they have to make a decision about Althea's company. Is it something that's going to connect to Nicky's storylines? Or is it something that can happen off-camera? Because Althea's "work" scenes were painful to watch. First: she's only about to develop an app. Why does she have so many employees already? The storyline could've still happened with just two programmers/coders working with her. Also, they could've discussed where Althea was getting her capital. Did Dennis foot her bill? Because the Shens aren't rich. And Althea hadn't had work for a long time because of her wedding. Or did they not want to say because it wouldn't fit the narrative that Dennis doesn't think he's enough for Althea? It still could've worked, in my opinion.
Third: I know I keep saying we need economy of screen time--but Mama Shen's conversation with her own mother feels like it's important enough to be seen on camera. It's about Mia. Who they're setting up to be as important as Nicky. The same goes for Ryan using his doctor credentials to find out who Mia's dad is. Or did they want to avoid that because it wouldn't be feasible in real life?
Fourth: Henry's relationship with his dad was a little all-over-the-place for me. He was so angry at Nicky bringing up the idea of reconnecting with his dad that I was expecting a more… strained relationship when they finally met. But they seemed to be fine until Henry's dad saying marrying young was his biggest mistake. Like… That whole scene was just tonally weird.
And last: While I do love that we didn't get a lot of Juliette Tan this episode (again: economy of scenes; good thing), I do still think we need a more concrete idea of what the Tans are up to. It's not a knock on this episode. It's a knock on how Season 2 was set up in the first three episodes. The villains are just being bad for villainy's sake. I do not feel any stakes in their fight--unlike with Zhi-Lan killing Pei-Ling in the series premiere. Like that was a very concrete scene of why Zhi-Lan and Nicky were going to be enemies. In comparison, Russell and Juliette are just… meh. I really do not care what they do.
But, as I said, even with those gripes, I completely enjoyed watching this episode of Kung Fu. I hope we get more of this moving forward, instead of… everything else we've seen prior to this.

Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings: The real Marvel’s breakthrough during pandemic
So after almost two years enjoying the movies through streaming platforms due to pandemic, I embrace myself to go to the cinema. Fortunately, the restriction level has been lighten in Indonesia and the cinemas begin to re-open. I was picky for the movie as the opening of my comeback moment to cinema. The movie must has strong reason why it is a must to be watched on big screen and with Dolby Surround System.
Tumblr media
Actually, Shang-Chi was not my first choice. I don’t watch every Marvel movies and I don’t really follow the movies after Stan Lee passed away. At the beginning of September, Shang-Chi’s trailer and video promotion often popped out on my Instagram explore and YouTube’s home. My first thought was like “Seriously, Jung Kim for Kim’s Convenience?” and I never heard of Destin Cretton on action movies’ director list. And then I gave a try to watch one of the promotions video. I remember the first video has the director and the main casts gave the statement about this movies. After that, I watched the rest of trailers and promotions video. When I watched Cretton (half Ireland-half Japanese descent) explain about what he wanted to deliver, I am sure that this will be the new eyes of Marvel movies. It turns out, Cretton’s movies had won many awards.
During this pandemic, Marvel has odd strategy of marketing such as publish the movie clip especially the important scenes. My cousin, who is a big fan of Marvel, was a bit pissed off. In my opinion, their aim they release the movie clips is to gain people’s trust that this movie will be worth it to be watched on big screen. People’s watching behaviour has change significantly during this pandemic. OTT platform has become the alternative way to watch movies on quarantine time. So, the production house to a new strategy to make people want to spend their time outside the house to enjoy movies.
Tumblr media
The Story
Shang-Chi, the son of Ten Rings organization’s leader, has to confront his past after living as an ordinary immigrant in San Fransico. If you had watched Iron Man 3 (2013), you’ll be familiar with the appearance of Ten Rings organization. Also ten rings reminds me of the tailor in Kung Fu Hustle (2004). Unlike the other Marvel movies who has linear narrative, Shang Chi has a dynamic plot (back and forth) with beautiful action choreography and strong personal from each characters. Thumbs up for the casting directors who can choose the grade A Asian actress and don’t waste their presence on the film. Sometimes there are films which has top class actress but didn’t manage to explore their potential well.
What I like from Shang Chi and The Legends of The Ten Rings?
Beside the beautiful martial arts choreography (I think I don’t blink on the bus scene), the picture graphic from American-production who want to show the Asian theme is more civilised. Whenever I watched the movies about the characters in Asian countries, the colours tone usually bright and too strong. But here, it really please the eyes. Shang Chi also put the inside joke that show the gap between Asian and Asian-American such as:
“I can speak ABC.”
“How close is it? 5 meter. What is it in America? Very close!”
Oh I almost forgot, the memorable thing from this movie is Tony Leung’s eyes. With minimum dialogue, he can show us when he is mad, fall in love, disappointed, sad, and many more.

The Real Martial Arts Behind Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This article contains some minor spoilers for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
In the pages of Marvel Comics, Shang-Chi is known as the “Master of Kung Fu.” So when Marvel Studios announced the character to help usher in MCU Phase 4, the one thought on every fan’s mind was that whoever gets cast in the lead role better really know Kung Fu.
In the wake of Netflix’s Iron Fist, Marvel’s other Kung Fu master, there was a lot of skepticism. Marvel had scored with the previous Netflix series Daredevil, which delivered some of the best small screen fight choreography we’d ever seen. But Iron Fist was sorely lacking. Finn Jones just couldn’t sell a punch as Danny Rand, leaving fans of Marvel martial arts masters overwhelmingly disappointed. If there’s one thing that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings had to nail, it was the Kung Fu.
Like Jones, Simu Liu had little martial arts experience before taking on the role of Shang-Chi. However, he already had the physique, so much so that appearing shirtless was a running joke when he played Jung in Kim’s Convenience. What’s more, Liu bulked up, added 10 more pounds of muscle while training for the film.
Unlike a character like Daredevil, Shang-Chi doesn’t wear a mask, so Liu had to quickly pick up enough cinematic Kung Fu to appear masterful on screen. Fortunately, he was backed by a top-notch team of stuntmen and surrounded with a cast of veteran film fighters including Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Star Trek: Discovery), Tony Leung (Hero, The Grandmaster), Yuen Wah (Kung Fu Hustle), Florian Munteanu (Creed II), Andy Le (The Paper Tigers), and others. Even though Liu was new to Kung Fu, he carries the action scenes with panache.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is not only a good Marvel movie, it’s a good Kung Fu movie. It has the best fight scenes seen in the MCU so far. And although the movie doesn’t get bogged down in the specifics of Kung Fu style, there are telling nods throughout the film that shows the filmmakers knew their Kung Fu too. “We knew the martial arts had to be authentic,” says Director Destin Daniel Cretton. “In order for that to feel real, we worked with people who understood Chinese Kung Fu.”
Let’s take a look at some of the Kung Fu roots and martial arts Easter Eggs underlying Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Ringsdone..
The Ten Rings are Real…Kind of
Wenwu (Tony Leung) is the villain of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and he wields ten magical rings that he wears on his forearms. These are the source of his power, as well as the name of his criminal organization. The origin of these rings is a prevailing mystery in the movie; however, their inspiration is not.
Traditional Kung Fu practitioners use rings akin to these while training, particularly in Southern Chinese styles. Such rings are called tit waan in Cantonese, which literally means “iron rings” or “iron bracelets.” Iron rings are constructed of heavy metal, typically brass or steel, and are worn loosely on the forearms when practicing solo forms and doing arm drills.
They serve two purposes. Firstly, they are heavy, usually weighing over a pound a piece, so they act like wrist weights. Secondly, unlike Wenwu’s magical rings which conform to fit his forearms perfectly, real iron rings are looser. They must be narrow enough so that they stay on when the practitioner makes a fist, but they are far from form fitting. This gives them play to bang against the practitioner’s forearms when they are shadowboxing. The banging conditions the user’s forearms, hardening them to withstand the impact of blocking. Some iron ring practitioners have forearms that are so tough they can severely damage an adversary’s punch with their ring-hardened blocks.
Although iron rings are not conventionally considered as weapons, Kung Fu practitioners have figured out ways to weaponize just about everything. Some wield iron rings like brass knuckles, holding them in their fists for punching.
Kung Fu Hustle
Weaponized iron rings are used in the 2004 comedy Kung Fu Hustle. The character Tailor (Chiu Chi Ling) fights with them. Chiu is a genuine master of Hung Ga Kung Fu, a southern style that uses iron ring training extensively.
Director Destin Daniel Cretton claims that Kung Fu Hustle is one of his favorite martial arts movies so there are other nods to it in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, including when a Kung Fu Hustle poster can be seen on a bedroom wall in the background. What’s more, Yuen Wah also appears as the warrior leader of Ta Lo who oversees Katy’s (Awkwafina) archery training. Yuen played the Landlord in Kung Fu Hustle and is a veteran martial arts actor with nearly 200 film credits. He is also the Kung Fu brother of Jackie Chan.
Yuen Qiu, who plays the Landlady in Kung Fu Hustle is a mutual Kung Fu sibling. Jackie, Yuen Wah and Yuen Qiu were all pupils of Yu Jim-Yuen, a master of Chinese opera who trained them all from childhood.  They all took stage names that included the “Yuen” part of their master’s name (Jackie Chan was known as Yuen Lau as a child). Others among that troupe were many of the movers and shakers of Hong Kong’s golden age of Kung Fu films, such as Sammo Hung (a.k.a. Yuen Lung) and famed action choreographer, Yuen Woo-Ping (The Matrix, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Kill Bill).
Tiger Head Hooks
The signature weapons of the Ten Rings are Tiger Head Hooks. These are those black glowing hooked swords that the gang members wield. They also appear on the Ten Rings banner. It’s an excellent choice because Tiger Head Hooks are one of the most distinctively Kung Fu weapons of all.
In Chinese, these are called Hu tou shuang gou, which literally means “Tiger head paired hooks.” “Paired” because they are typically used in pairs. Sometimes they are just translated as Hook Swords. They have a sword blade with a hooked tip, a crescent-shaped blade for a knuckle guard, and a dagger blade for a pommel. Every edge is sharp. The only place they are not sharp is the handle. This makes them very difficult to wield. Consequently, Tiger Hooks are considered an advanced Kung Fu weapon.
The reference book Ancient Chinese Weapons by Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming dates Tiger Head hooks back to China’s Spring Autumn Period (771-476 BCE), however those ancient hooks likely took on a different form. The modern style of Tiger Head hooks as seen in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings rose to prominence around the 1800s. They are still practiced today, mostly by Northern schools of Kung Fu.
What Style of Kung Fu Does Shang-Chi Practice?
Kung Fu is renowned for its diverse collection of styles like Shaolin, Wing Chun, Tiger style, and countless others. There’s even Drunken style and Toad style. In the movie, Shang-Chi doesn’t adopt a particular style of Kung Fu. Some of his moves have characteristics of Wing Chun or Bajiquan, but there’s nothing in the choreography to indicate a very specific style.
Avatar: The Last Airbender
The warriors of Ta Lo are different. While their style is not explicit, their peacekeeping philosophy is expressed through the soft, internal styles of Kung Fu like Tai Chi. When Ying Nan (Michelle Yeoh) schools Shang-Chi in their first match, it’s reminiscent of how airbending is depicted in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
However, the connection is deeper than that. Despite its fantasy elements, Avatar based its martial arts sequences on authentic Kung Fu by mo-capping Sifu Kisu, a renowned martial arts master. Kisu designated specific styles for each school of bending. Airbending was based upon an internal style of Kung Fu known as Baguazhang, or Eight Diagram Palm. Like Tai Chi, it has a soft expression. It relies on circular movements and pivoting evasions. Several of Yeoh’s techniques are plucked straight out of Baguazhang.
The Masters Behind Shang-Chi’s Martial Arts
Credit for Shang-Chi’s Kung Fu authenticity falls on the film’s top notch stunt team. Two are leading graduates of the legendary Jackie Chan Stunt Team. The fight on the hi-rise scaffolding is a homage to Jackie’s parkour-inspiring choreography. Andy Cheng worked on around half a dozen of Jackie’s films including his first two Rush Hour films, Shanghai Noon, The Tuxedo, and Who Am I? where Jackie does one of his all-time greatest stunts, sliding down the Willemswerf skyscraper in Rotterdam. He was also the action director for Into the Badlands. When Jackie inevitably stepped back from doing his own stunts, Cheng stepped in for him.
“We were very concerned [about Kung Fu] from the very beginning,” says Cretton. “Marvel was also concerned and wanted to get it right. [They] knew that Marvel fans, wouldn’t have let it slide if we did a Hollywood version of a whitewashed Kung Fu movie. To be able to, we brought in Brad Allan.” Brad Allan was the first non-Asian to make Jackie’s stunt team. He also worked on around a dozen of Jackie’s films (this is approximate because stunt work wasn’t always credited).
Who Was Brad Allan?
You can’t miss the credits in any MCU film. In Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, there’s a prominent dedication to Allan at the very end. Tragically, on August 7th, 2021, Brad Allan died unexpectantly at the early age of 48, sending the martial arts world reeling from the loss of one of its brightest stars. Beyond Shang-Chi, Allan leaves behind an exemplary legacy of action films where he served as the Second Unit Director including Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Cuban Fury, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and the Kingsman trilogy.
Allan was obsessed with the martial arts from childhood and rose to compete internationally in Wushu, representing Australia where he was born and raised. Through a chance encounter, he was able to demonstrate his skills to Jackie, and Jackie liked what he saw so much that he took Allan under his wing.
In 1999, Allan played Alan, the villain in Jackie’s film Gorgeous, which coincidentally also stars Tony Leung. With Allan clad in black and Jackie in white, their finale fight is, well, it’s gorgeous. It’s two of the greatest masters of the craft delivering top notch fight choreography. Allan spent most of his career modestly behind the scenes, so Gorgeous is the outstanding example of his speed and agility. It’s heartbreaking that Allan didn’t get to see the premiere of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
Allan’s final work will be seen in The King’s Man later this year.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is now playing in theaters.

I'm trying to build a wuxia world that's modern. But I'm having serious trouble with all the outdated ideas and lifestyles as well as modern understanding of science. All the mechanics as well as fighting are basically scientific, but extended and exaggerated to be made like it's magic. Problem is, modern science refutes all that. Especially about the readily known or secret everything is in the modern world. I could explain in more detail or specific ideas, but it's not easy in English.
Mod Note: The asker later sent an ask that they had found someone privately to help with their questions, but as Tex had already put the work into this response, and there may be others interested, we are still posting our reply.
Tex: Wuxia is inherently a genre of historical fantasy, so I understand the struggle with bringing it into a modern setting. Let me paste a short Wikipedia synopsis in to help orient me, with a Chinese version so you have something in a more navigable language.
The word "wǔxiá" is a compound composed of the elements wǔ (武, literally "martial", "military", or "armed") and xiá (俠, literally "chivalrous", "vigilante" or "hero"). A martial artist who follows the code of xia is often referred to as a xiákè (俠客, literally "follower of xia") or yóuxiá (遊俠, literally "wandering xia"). In some translations, the martial artist is referred to as a "swordsman" or "swordswoman" even though he or she may not necessarily wield a sword.
The heroes in wuxia fiction typically do not serve a lord, wield military power, or belong to the aristocratic class. They often originate from the lower social classes of ancient Chinese society. A code of chivalry usually requires wuxia heroes to right and redress wrongs, fight for righteousness, remove oppressors, and bring retribution for past misdeeds. Chinese xia traditions can be compared to martial codes from other cultures such as the Japanese samurai bushidō.
Source: Wikipedia in English
Source: Wikipedia in Chinese
Both versions have a section on common elements and themes found in the wuxia genre. This is good, because it helps us break down the core of the genre, and how we can bring this out of the historical setting.
“Wu” encompasses the traditions of martial arts and its accompanying subculture. There are plenty of martial arts schools in China and other parts of the world, so it would be easy to research how they have adapted to the modern world.
“Xia” is a bit harder. The Chinese version stops at the definition that it is a Confucian value, whereas the English version breaks the definition down into more items. Let me copy down what the English version states in its “Code of xia” section:
The eight common attributes of the xia are listed as benevolence, justice, individualism, loyalty, courage, truthfulness, disregard for wealth, and desire for glory. Apart from individualism, these characteristics are similar to Confucian values such as ren (仁; "benevolence", "kindness"), zhong (忠; "loyalty"), yong (勇; "courage", "bravery") and yi (義; "righteousness").[11] The code of xia also emphasises the importance of repaying benefactors after having received deeds of en (恩; "grace", "favour") from others, as well as seeking chou (仇; "vengeance", "revenge") to bring villains to justice. However, the importance of vengeance is controversial, as a number of wuxia works stress Buddhist ideals, which include forgiveness, compassion and a prohibition on killing.
These attributes, as well as the mentioned Buddhist ones, can also be found in works set in modern times.
One core tenet, Jianghu, is emphasized in the Chinese version that it is an idea rather than a tangible location. Below is the original Chinese as well as the Google Translate version in English:
Google Translated English:
Jianghu is not an actual place. In the martial arts culture, Jianghu is the range of activities of the knights. "Jianghu" emphasizes its variability and danger. "Green Forest" shows his illegality and irrationality. "Wulin" "Restricts his attributes as "Martial Man".
Even if this world is combined with historical background, the fictitious component is still very strong. "This domain is self-contained. It not only simulates the real world, but also has no other way. It has a self-contained and complete category, law, and real world. Very different, basically made by authors and readers under some kind of tacit understanding."
From the historical context and fiction, from another point of view, it is also equivalent to loose bondage. No matter what the historical facts of the economy, politics, society, and law, there is no need to worry about, just fake a virtual "ancient", The author only needs to have historical common sense (not knowledge), which is enough to ride the space imagined here, and put the focus on the hero's cause and effect, the love of children and the complaint.
In addition to the existence of " knights ", there are also a large number of foreign characters in the virtual "Jianghu World", "such as scholars, officials, and bureaucrats in a literati society; monks, nuns, and priests in a religious society; and fishermen in a rural society. , Woodcutters, peasants; merchants, gentry in the merchant society; others such as beggars, prostitutes, children, etc." These three-religious figures have enriched and enriched the new rivers and lakes. After the transformation of novelists in the past, new rivers and lakes have gone out of history and become a virtual but complete social form.
The characters in the Jianghu world abide by the principles of righteousness and evil and the supremacy of power, and also despise the secular etiquette. They are free and independent individuals, generally divided into two categories: one is the lone traveler, and the other is the group characters. The former travels alone and is not bound by others, while the latter belongs to a "group" under written or unwritten norms, so-called " gangs ."
This reflects well the core definition of the wuxia genre, as well as highlighting that its historical format is not strictly necessary. A modern setting is quite possible!
There are more themes and concepts covered in the Wikipedia articles, but for now the main definition of the genre has been covered.
The issue of “scientific” versus “magical” is a complex one to tackle, specifically because many of the subgenres in martial arts films (or literature) rely upon a suspension of disbelief in some element or another. Usually this relates to either the plot - lending an element of the ridiculous - or the style of fighting - lending an element of skepticality.
This is usually because the goal of the story matters more. In wuxia and related genres, this is due to a moral compass being instilled in main characters, and functions as one of the main driving forces behind the plot. This is something popular of many action films, ranging from John Wick to Kill Bill to Kingsman. Morality is a popular element in storytelling, though admittedly popularity often rests on how visually appealing it is (something more difficult with text).
Because of this, it ultimately does not matter how realistic the fighting is or is not - so long as the main concepts are covered, then you have a wuxia story. That being said, martial arts often stretches the preconceived notions of what a human body can do; with sufficient training, things like high jumps (x, x) and triple kicks (x, x) are well within the realm of believability.
Ninja Assassin has realistic martial artistry, but it bends believability under the assumption that an audience’s preconceived scope of potential is very narrow. The same goes approximately for The Grandmaster (2013), albeit from a literally historical perspective while being set in the mid 20th century.
Some popular films that you could use as a reference for varying degrees of suspending disbelief are: Kung Fu Hustle (2004), The Night Comes for Us (2018), The Karate Kid (either version), and Fatal Contact (2006).
In terms of moving around the “fantasy” part of wuxia to something similar, The Matrix series accomplishes many wuxia themes, and some rather pointedly, while occupying a futuristic setting.
While I don’t know if this precisely answers your question, particularly in regards to the technical feasibility of martial arts as popularly demonstrated in wuxia, I would be more than happy to expand on my answer if you wish.

Hello, I’ve just watched The Handmaiden and Parasite and I’m wondering if you have any movie recommendations that are as good as those! I really like the twists and characters!
I’ve never watched the handmaiden, but I have seen parasite. If you like twists then I would recommend from korea the wailing and forgotten. from hong kong, project gutenberg, accident, trivisa, kung fu hustle, second time around, blind detective and from america source code, the prestige, visions, the sixth sense, predestination, and arrival. those are just some off the top of my head

Triple Play
Some say three’s a crowd but I say three’s company.  There are times in this Nintendo collecting journey where I’m not sure if I’m lead by three blind mice or three wise men. Perhaps I’m making my decisions under the influence or three sheets to the wind, but before you give me the third degree let me just say third time’s the charm and third time lucky.
Part of this hobby is being in the right place at the right time, part of it is hustle and part of it is waiting for the right moment to make a purchase.  I have made it a habit to make sure that I check several online sources for games in my area.  We have a classified section in our local city web page, the local chapter of Kijiji, and several Facebook groups dedicated to buying and selling retro games.  I had seen an ad a couple of times and it wasn’t until the 3rd time I saw the ad go up that I messaged about a couple of games.
The seller moved recently to my town from Halifax and was going back for the weekend and trying to raise a little bit of spending money. For this reason he had marked his already fairly priced games down and added free shipping to them.  On a hunch, I messaged asking if he offered local pickup and to my surprise he did.  I drove out with the intent of purchase two games and actually completed a triple.  At his place of work (which looks like it may be just in the process of  starting up) was a ton of open space and in an upstairs room he had boxes upon boxes of games from all different manner of consoles.  He had mentioned that he took the time to list only the games that he knew he could sell quickly but that he might have some others of interest.  Though there were a couple that I didn’t have I actually bought just one from the upstairs stash.  In all I got 3 games and they are doozies!  They are three games that I don’t see out in the wild very often and so I was very excited to add them to the collection:  Cool World, Jackie Chan’s Action Kung Fu and G.I. Joe.

Yesterday I got an envelope in the mail with a trio of text goodies.  The letter contained the instruction booklets for:  Captain Planet & the Planeteers, Gauntlet and Super Sprint from another Facebook seller; this one from Chatham, Ontario.
