More dragons sketches

Redesigned them a bit to be more dragon like, specifically the 2003 dragons. Might continue till I got something I'm pleased with.

Tried to make Raph be more intimidating and the most dragon of them. He seems so dangerous, and he is, but he's still a softy. And he's huge.

Leo and Donnie are more sleeker and were meant to resemble wyverns, but I missed the mark with the wings rip. Maybe they just like to swim more-

Mikey will remain the smallest no matter what. He's got no wings, for now, and is fluffy.

And, of course, Casey Marie/Shadow. She's having the time of her life experiencing how to train your dragon.

And yes, they are all rideable, although Donnie requires his equipment. I might do some sketches on the dragon riding.

Some Dragonfruit AU Headcanons and ideas, there was a whole 2 hour discussion in the Shellcord server brainstorming this AU and i collected a bunch of really neat notes for it!

A bit about it so far:

Raph: Hes biggest, the scaliest, the spikey guy, hes like a giant terrestrial western dragon-shaped dog <3 He has massive wings that he 100% uses as shields for his brothers, i gave him 4 wings just to make that happen. Hes absolutely the toughest out of all the brothers, and because of that his wings and scales have seen some rough times with tears and chips in them.

Like Leo hes capable of flying, but it took him many more years before his wings actually grew big enough and strong enough for him to actually take flight.

His diamond-shaped scales are similar rubies and they continuously grow and shed, sometimes he chomps down on them like theyre edible crystal snacks xD

Mikey often makes little gem inspired trinkets to hang on his horns or braid into the long fur down his spine (<- Leo is the best at braiding fur/hair, Mikey often puppy-eyes Leo into braiding his)

Raph is a cold-blooded dragon, but unlike Mikey he cant generate his own body heat without outside influence. He often yoinks his brothers (most likely Mikey) to warm himself up on a cold day.

Donnie: Hes a warm-blooded lung/western dragon, semi-aquatic, and extremely flexible and long. His skin, eyesight and ears are the most sensitive out of the brothers, and hes overall more susceptible to dehydration.

He is extremely good at swimming, kind of like hes just a giant otter. He's capable of holding his breath for over an hour.

Like Mikey, he cant fly and has no wings, but that doesnt stop him!! He was quick to draft up concepts for mechanical wings that would let him take to the skies aswell. He was extremely jealous of Leo and his bragging when it came to flying, and didnt want to be left behind when Raph eventually began flying too.

It took years of trial and error but he eventually created his own mechanical wings, inspired by birds (He will never admit to Leo that the true inspiration for the mech wings was actually Leos own wings)

With his flexible dragon noodliness, hes almost immune to fall damage (but there are limits).

Leo: Like Donnie, hes a warm-blooded noodle of a dragon. Very lithe and long, he is also the only dragon out of them all with FEATHERS! The crest of feathers down his spine is very expressive and often gives away his emotions (whether its intentional or not we shall never know...) it also adds to his dramatic body language.

He was the first to fly, his feathered wings grew in exceptionally fast and because of his hollow bones and light weight it was pretty easy for him to get started.

He absolutely hates his baby photos, that growing period when his feathers were just beginning to come in was not a good time for his looks...

Despite being a bird-like dragon, he is very fond of water (think of cormorants and kingfishers) His feathers are water resistant and he is surprisingly great at swimming!

Hes the best at singing (second to April though) Leo is also freakily talented at mimicking various sounds (with lots of practice ofc), he pranks Donnie when he mimics the sound of his alarms/notifications (Donnie has had to change those SO many times xD)

Leos eyesight is the sharpest, he can see the furthest out of the brothers.

Mikey: Very similar to a cat, hes a cold-blooded drake with a fluffy mane and a long prehensile tail.

He is a small but mighty little dragon.

Mikey is the only dragon capable of breathing fire (or having any sort of breath weapon at all) and because of that, his body temperature runs fairly high.

His fire breath isnt that strong (no one would be safe if it WAS-) but he uses it for cooking or as a light source when exploring somewhere dark. He also shoots sparks when he sneezes or coughs.

Despite Donnie and Leo being warm-blooded dragons and not needing external sources of heat as much like Raph, they still love borrowing him as their dragon shaped hot water bottle <3

Like Donnie, he doesnt have wings and cannot fly (YET!) so he rides on his brothers. His brothers often fight over who gets to carry him (usually Raph or Donnie win), his prehensile tail makes it easier for him have a good grip to stay on their shoulders.

Eventually (in the kinda distant future) his mystic powers surface and hes able to harness those to float, and eventually fly.

Extras!:

They each smell like a different fruit: Mikey is citric, Raph is cherry/berries, Donnie is bananas, Leo is mangos/pineapples (April loves to pet them, and then sniff her hand xD)

Mikey and Leo mess with everyones tails, especially the tuft of fur at the end of Donnies, they struggle to resist the urge to pounce on it

They all purr and love scritches

They got taught to pretend to be/act like cats or dogs when they were younger if theyre ever spotted on the surface by humans (it doesnt work so much when they got older, too big)

They call their finishing group attack/move the 'fruit punch!'

April mistook Mikey and Donnie for 'exotic weird looking cats' when she first stumbled across them

She names Donnie Fluffy and the only reason she figures out theyre not actually weird cats but talking sentient DRAGONS... is because when she meets Donnie and names him, he gets so offended that he has to correct it

Whenever theyre arguing over who gets to carry Mikey, Donnie often says: "i will carry him because unlike yours, my wings wont tire out" (tech wings for the win)

Mikey and Leo keep Leos shed feathers, Mikey loves asking for them and keeping them for art projects

When Leo is asked why they shed he loves to say “i forgot to cherish them”

Mikey loves to paint/dye everyones scales and fur

Leo and Donnie have venomous spit (the family quickly built up immunity to it because the twins were massive biters when they were younger, and still are)

Donnie has real eyebrows

Everyone but Leo has great night vision

Mikey is the only one who doesnt like water

(Close to the time they meet April) Mikey, when their closer with April, gives her a little charm she puts on her jacket, and it's a fruit of course (a dragonfruit) Leo suggests the fruit name as a joke because he thinks its so funny that theyre dragons and that theres a fruit that exists named after them <- Leo says "a dragon fruit" and in his mind hes imagining a pear with wings, cue his shock when he sees an actual dragonfruit (he laughs at it for weeks)

VILLAIN ERA CRUMBS!

I have had this scene bouncing around in my head for DAYS. There are so many things in it that I can’t put into words, like, descriptively. Summarized. Whatever.

So you get some story instead!

Leon was normally a pretty understanding guy.

He’s used to holding grudges and pouting in corners. He’s not above throwing things or refusing to talk about what’s upsetting him because surely, Donnie already knows and he’s being belligerent.

But this was getting ridiculous.

“How long does he plan to keep this up?” Leon refuses to look back to the Sensei who hasn’t stopped staring at them with the blankest of unreadable expressions. “It’s creeping me out.”

“You too?” Raphie shivers. “He walked past my room two nights ago and just stood by my door. I haven’t been able to sleep since.”

“And he won’t talk!” Michael hisses. “Not to me or Dr. Feelings! He just glares when it try! Like he’s daring me or something!”

“To be fair, no one is comfortable around Dr. Feelings.” Don supplies. “But I concur with the weird feelings.”

“He’s upset.” Donnie taps his computer. “Ganging up on him to boss him around will do that.”

“Besides, he’s harmless.” Raph grumbles. “How about we talk about the psycho who’s not?”

“Good point.” Donnie raises a hand and snaps. Leo and Mikey look their direction as Raph waves them over.

Mikey crosses the room in a bound, using Raph’s chair to slow his momentum and ramming his chest into the table. His brother shoots him a nasty look that he snickers at, innocently circling the table to reach Raphie’s side. They share a smile and then Raphie goes back to watching the Sensei that had made his way behind Donnie. Once safety is procured, Mikey sticks out his tongue.

Raph growls under his breath. Donnie rolls his eyes.

Preoccupied with each other, none of the brothers notice how their counterparts have stiffened.

Not just me? Not just you. Raph don’t like it. Keep cool.

Leon watches him intently as he slides an even gaze over them all. He doesn’t understand how none of Leo’s brothers feel the absolute danger that’s radiating off of him.

Then, he does.

Donnie looks up to him, gesturing to their brothers helplessly, and his body language changes. He smiles, for the first time in a week, and turns to the brother with a foot on the table. There’s a spark of life in his eyes, even as his scolds, “Cut it out, you two.”

“He started it!” Raph gestures furiously as Mikey hides behind the spikey shell. Mikey shakes his head, “Nu-uh!”

“This is a meeting. Wrestle when we have the time.”

“I think now is a very good time!”

“If you put anymore weight on this table, you’re going to flip it.” Don supplies helpfully. The harden gaze takes over with the interjection of his twin’s voice. Leon watches a finger trace along the metal of his newly improve ‘magically science’ staff.

Raph gets off the table and Donnie offers, “Now that you’re done being babies…” Raph turns his anger on a new target and Mikey squawks his offense. “I’ve managed to connect all the whereabouts of our masked assailant. It’s a circle.”

Leo frowns, “Around where?”

“Here.” Donnie taps the table. “Every spot has been within a certain range of the turtle’s home. Whoever this guy is… He’s targeting us.”

“You’re sure?” Leo looks over his shoulder as he nods. Leon glances at the sling that Michael’s arm is in and then at his brothers, “How is that possible? I didn’t tell anyone.”

“Not I.” “No way!” “He knows where we live?”

“Doesn’t seem like that big of a deal.” Raph scoffs. “Dude ran off when I came into the picture. Squirt here had it covered.”

“Yeah!” Michael chimes in. “He just, uh, got the drop on me. But I totally had it covered!” He slaps a high-five with Mikey. “All the way!”

“You shouldn’t have antagonized him.” Leo snaps at his brother. The smug look fades as Raph crosses his arms and slumps in his seat bitterly. “You don’t know what he’s capable of.”

“Are you saying he shouldn’t have stepped in?” Leon asks, cooly.

“Of course not.” Donnie closes his laptop as Leo leans on his chair. “He only means that Raph’s temper has gotten us in trouble before. And if one of us has to face this guy, we should do it as a team.”

“Exactly.” Leo stares at Leon, unblinking. “This guy enjoys getting the drop on people. It seems like he’s avoiding taking on more of you than he can handle at once.”

“Sounds like we need another buddy system.” Don offers, looking only at Leo. “That might help us to… Keep an eye on one another. Don’t you think?”

Careful.

Being.

“No way am I getting stuck with one of you bozos.” Raph scowls at the table. “Especially not when that guy skedaddled as soon as he saw me. I ain’t scared of him, but he’s smart enough to be scared of me.”

“It doesn’t have to be mandatory.” Leo assures. “As their Sensei, I know what my brothers are capable of. I know they can handle themselves. I trust them. Don’t you?”

Leon can feel the slight like a knife to his throat. Leo’s brothers beam at the praise as Leon’s look to him warily. Leon’s sword is in his hands, but he doesn’t remember summoning it.

“Sure.” He tightens his hand around the hilt. “Why wouldn’t I trust them? They haven’t given me a reason not too.”

“And I doubt they will.” Leo smiles, smug. All Leon can picture is Krang on his throne, flashing sharp teeth. “Let’s just focused on keeping each other safe in the time being.”

“Speaking of which,” Donnie looks up at him. The spark returns. He tilts his head curiously. “You mentioned going to the Hidden City again today. I’d like to join you this time. I was thinking we could stop by the library-”

Leo doesn’t like the look in his eyes. He’s noticing it more and more as Sensei’s attitude changes. It’s an eager, predatory glint that makes Leon think that if any of the brothers go anywhere with him; they aren’t going to be coming back.

He pictures the prison dimension portal closing, cutting him off from the outside world. Adrenaline pumps through his veins. A flash of light under the table.

Leon’s hands are empty as he jumps up from his chair.

“You can’t!”

Donnie looks over, startled. Leo stares at him, silent. Leon laughs, sheepishly, “Didn’t you and Don have plans today? In the lab?”

“Did we?” Donnie looks at Don. Don freezes, looking at Leon for help because he cannot lie to save his life. He smiles. Go on.

Trying. His brother clears his throat. “Maybe?”

Work with me. “I could have sworn you mentioned it yesterday. You had something you were going to show him?”

“I… Could have mentioned something about this. Yesterday.” Donnie nods. Nailed it. “But if you want to go back on a mutual agreement, I suppose I will just have to deal with the consequences.”

“Well…” Donnie hesitates, uncertain. Leon thinks a part of him doesn’t buy it. He glances at his older brother. “Do you mind?”

Leo straightens, patting his shoulder. “You have fun, Dee.”

“I can come!” Mikey throws a hand in the air. Mike.

Got it. “And miss out on the big cook off I got planned?! No way!”

“Oh, man, really!?”

“Really really really! Time to see who’s the better chief, baby!”

Raphie grins at the sulking turtle. My turn. “You wanna help me judge? You can take Michael.”

“And watch you finally taste the nightmares that Mikey makes?” Raph sits up in his seat, grinning maliciously. “Count me in.”

Nice, big bro! “Sounds like it’s gonna be a busy day.”

“Sounds it.” Leo looks at him briefly, void of emotion. “I’ll see you guys in a bit.” His eyes go to his brothers. “Call if you need anything.”

Leon gets in his way as his brothers confirm as much, smiling innocently. “I could always tag along if you needed a friend.”

A beat. Careful Leo.

“That’s okay.” Leo meets his gaze. Leon’s stomach flips. “I think it’s safer if you stay back. And I prefer a solo trip. Getting pretty used to them by now.”

“Oh yeah?” Leon holds his smile. “I forget. Where are you going?”

“Hidden City.” Leo steps closer. “Excuse me.”

“Excused.” He steps out of the way, stretching out a hand in flourish. Leo moves fluidly, not betraying a single thought. He cups his mouth. “Let me know if you change your mind!”

No response. Leon waits and then interrupts the conversation to announce, “None of that was off to you guys?”

“He’s grouchy.” Mikey offers thoughtfully.

“Still mad.” Donnie shrugs. “He’ll come around.”

“Seriously. Chill.” Raph says with an arm slack over the back of the chair. “We know Leo. As long as you’re not Shredder, he’s harmless.”

Harmless. They think. Right.

Rise Raphael HEADCANNONS

Besides Ghost Bear, he was always a huge fan of Jake ''The Snake'' Roberts, Mr.Perfect and John Cena.

Raph actually tended to dream to do football, basketball, baseball, boxing and even volleyball.

Once he met Mona (in my AU) she had him join a wrestling group she was apart of along with a boxing group. He visits it every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Him, Franken-Foot and Slash (my AU) often spar together and beat each other. TO THE DEATH. Not really-

Contrary to popular belief, he swears THE MOST out of all of his brothers. Like bro does NOT care if he dropped the worst f bomb ever at all.

He is a massive fan of Hello Kitty and My Little Pony. He own quite a lot of merch. He actually does read the creepypasta's of these two franchises he likes. He never really was a fan though. Not because he found the fanfics gory or something, he just thought they were stupid and overrated. Plus he saw them as edgy and a ''let's make everything so bloody and gross'' cliche kind of thing.

He actually enjoys live-action Disney movies. Though he prefers the original more.

He tried to be friendly with Mayhem multiple times but eventually gave up. Just because he knew he's not gonna force him to like him all of a sudden. Though both managed to stay neutral on each other after a long time.

Raph loves animals, though he has a hard time getting along with them. He is capable of not having animals like cats, hamsters and mice get scared from him.

When he is left alone for way too long, he starts to hear noises and hallucinates that there are people watching him or glaring at him. Which would eventually result in either him having a panic attack or going feral.

He will actively devour anything. (Probably the reason why he never threw up when 2012 Mikey made the most horrendous recipe EVER-)

His favorite source of comfort is just cuddling with someone or something in a warm blanket.

His love language is physical touch, acts of service and quality time. Though mainly physical touch.

Raph would often wear clothes that are stretchable and capable of not getting ruined because of his spikey shell.

Raph often doesn't like his turtle species. He feels as if he is way too big, too spikey and doesn't fit in. His brothers remind him a lot that he is perfect the way he is and he shouldn't feel ashamed of being huge and looking a lot different then all of them. When he met Slash, the insecurity slowly began to fade away. As he enjoyed the company of meeting another alligator snapping turtle. Also Slash is like 10 feet tall so he is able to give Raph all the piggy back rides he wants.

In the future he would get various tattoos because he thinks they look cool. Plus they represent his family.

He almost swallowed his damn fist. Don't ask me how.

He unintentionally murdered a lizard because he thought it was a spider. Yeah so Mona found out about that-

Despite getting ABSOLUTELY flustered regarding flirting or having romantic advances given to him. Oh dear lordy ya'll do not wanna know how much of a rizzer he can genuinely be... Then there are times when he has the worst rizz to the point you question how he could pull anyone.

He loves marshamllows.

He is the 2nd closest to Todd. With Todd often letting Raph come over to play with his puppies and or pet-sit them.

Raph sleeps like a grizzly bear. That's it.

He doesn't mind Leo following him like a small baby duckling.

His Melody plushie (that bunny from Hello Kitty) is his stress toy. He hugs and squeezes it tightly. Splinter and Donnie ended up getting him a big sized one just for him on his 18th birthday.

Mutant Mashup Au: Ninpo explanation

Y'all know about the power the Rise boys get once they unlock their ninpo. But in Mutant Mashup, the 2012 boys get some powers too (Draxum Clutch Tm).

Large bodies of text ahead, be warned!

At the moment, the Rise fam retains the same ninpo abilities as in canon (Red: holographic constructs, Purple: mystic tech, Blue: portals, Orange: mystic chains). If you watched the show you know that Orange (Rise Mikey) gets mystic chains and fire, but in the Au he only has his chains. A small but important change.

The 2012 boys are the Rise fam's cousins so they get ninpo too, which is more geared towards the elements. I think I'd be fun if their mystic weapon's amplified their mystic powers to dangerous levels. Draxum likely kept the weapons locked up as they were "too destructive" when compared to the Rise fam's weapons.

DaVinci's ninpo is water/air. When using his mystic weapon (a pair of tekko-kagi claws), Vin can create violent whirlwinds that can throw enemies around. These winds don't affect Vin's family unless he is trying to catch them or himself. The claws grow or shrink depending on how Vin is feeling so if he feels super angry then the claws sharpen and grow longer. Once the claws are destroyed by Shredder, Vin unlocks another aspect of his ninpo which is basically water bending. He can pressurize the water to the point it can cut through anything. When Vin combines both powers he goes full typhoon mode.

Sanzio's ninpo is fire. His mystic weapon are a pair of gauntlets and can shoot fire from his fists or even breathe fire. These flames can be all consuming and Zio can't always control them once lit, but he learns how to temper them over time. Sometimes the flames burn his family so Zio isn't too keen on using them at first, but that changes once the gauntlets are broken. After the gauntlets break, Sanzio can set himself on fire for a limited time, his tolerance builds up as he ages. More importantly, Zio has more control over what his flames burn and how strongly they do burn. (Yoshi doesn't like his ninpo unfortunately, it reminds him too much of what happened to Miwa and Tang Shen)

Niccolo's ninpo is earth. His weapon is a two sided battle axe that can "shatter the earth." (Nico tried using the mystic weapon Purple was supposed to get but it didn't work for whatever reason). If Nico hits the ground, everything starts shaking, kinda like a mini earthquake. This kicks up a lot of spikey rocks that Nico can send over to the enemy, a bit like his family's ninja stars. Due to the near permanent results of his ninpo, Nico doesn't use it all too much which irritates him. Once the axe breaks, Nico can finally do what he always does, create something new. He can still cause earthquakes and force large rocks to jutt out of the ground, but he can also reshape the earth into whatever he needs and even walk through magma, though only for a limited time and with proper mental preparation. Nico starts off by making small lab assists but as he grows, he can create huge Kaiju sized golems.

Simoni's ninpo is electricity. His mystic weapon is a scorpion chain that helps him electrocute baddies from a distance. The first time Simon used his ninpo he took out the entire city's power grid. It was fixed really quick but Simoni's electric current was way too strong to be used around machines (Nico and Purple were paranoid for weeks). Thankfully, Simon got more control over the power output once the his weapon broke. Simon can now use his ninpo to tether things together and keep them in place, a little like a spider web (Big Mama absolutely loves this). The things Simon can do are simple but versatile like creating electric ropes only he can walk on or dangle from. His ninpo can give him a little burst of speed which he exploits a lot when running away from his bros. Maybe Simon can sense things a lot faster then everyone, probably because he can feel the electricity in the air or something.

GUESS WHO RANDOMLY RE FIXATED ON AN OLD IDEA!

So, that rise TMNT amphibia au, think I called it rise of amphibia or something? That! Specifically when it gets to the part where raph and Mikey finally reunite

Unlike Sasha, raph genuinly thinks this is a peace negotiation and an innocent party, while grime is scheming behind his back to kill hop pop,

I can absolutely see sprig being jealous that Mikey has another sibling sense in this au by now Mikey is HIS brother, then suddenly this HUGE SPIKEY HULKING MONSTER SHOWS UP WITH THE TOAD ARMY, STANDING NEXT TO CAPTAIN GRIME! and Mikey is just like "RAAAPH!" and leaps into a tackle hug, meanwhile raph is fully prepared to adopt his little brothers second family.

The first half of the episode plays out fairly similar, although instead of raph insisting on being alone with Mikey, its grime insisting raph and Mikey catch up

Grime "you two catch up on what you've missed, I'm sure you have many stories to tell, I'll 'deal' with the frogs."

Raph "You sure there grime? You ain't really the best with... face man stuff- raph can help out if-"

Grime "nonono! You deserve some proper family time, besides, I'm sure... I wanna say minni? Would love a tour of your new room!"

Mikey"Say what-"

Raph "I mean, a little brotherly time wouldn't hurt-" (he probably really wants to be alone with Mikey just to make sure he's ok real quick but also doesn't fully trust grime to run what he thinks is a peace thing yet)

The part at the frog party with sprig finding out its a trap plays out as normal, meanwhile with raph and Mikey, raph is full on babying Mikey, pestering him on if he's ok, what happened while he was alone, probably freaking out when he hears about the tax collectors breaking Mikey's arm that one time and planning a VERY stern talking too for them, while Mikey is asking why raph is even with the toads when "they are literally known for being jerks!"

Mikey actually does need to use the bathroom or something when he tries to leave the room, but unlike with Anne, the door is actually locked, raph didn't do it, and they realized they've been locked in

CUE RAPH RAMMING DOWN THE DAMN DOOR!

the brothers head down to the party, the toads assuming raph knows the situation sense he's literally the luetrnnant, entering the banquet room where the frogs are freaking out and the toads are blocking them in

"WHATS GOIN ON IN HERE!?" "oooo you're in for it now! Get em lieutenant raph!" They leave the room, raph is very confused "no actually what's happenin? This was just supposed to be a party and then a negotiation!"

Sprig very much doesn't belive that raph is clueless and has deemed the giant spikey man evil.

Raph is guessing grime in fact did go behind his back and use the kill hop pop plans instead of actually fixigg tge frog opression issue, informing the frogs on what grime wants to do and that they need to get out, and of course the frogs are freaking out at the execute hop pop thing,

Mikey suggests they go through the sewers after trying to tell one eyed wally no bombing (wally still thinks yes bombing) "just like home!" The frogs are disgusted while for raph and Mikey things almost seem normal for a bit other than the sewer monster down there,

Acedentally get captured

"Ah lieutenant Raphael, always playing bog jump while everyone else is playing flipwart. I know you wanted peace but that simply isn't going to happen, the toads have ruled over the valley for generations, and will continue to do so once that pesky little frog is gone!"

Instead of making Mikey and raph fight, Mikey has to fight grime himself, sense raph refuses to hurt his brother, though raph probably tries to butt in once Mikey looks like he's losing (possibly grime causes the scar on raph? That or he butted in at the worst time so Mikey acedentally stabbed him) Mikey manages to defeat grime and demands he hold up his end if the deal to spare hop pop, and if course grime tries to just throw hop pop anyway, but right then wally's boom shrooms go off!

Grime falls off the tower while raph and Mikey try to get everyone down tge stairs safely, raph and Mikey try to discuss a plan while the tower crumbles, raph not wanting to leave Mikey, but also not wanting to abandon grime, even after this betrayal raph probably has at least seen some good in grime, plus he might need to prevent future crimes, Mikey convinces raph he'll be ok on his own, and with that, raph nods, then jumps off the tower.

Grime is at the edge of the woods with his small band of deserters, looking utterly lost, when a disturbingly large hand is placed on his shoulder, looking up, it's raph, who looks stern and dissapointed, like a parent about to give a lecture, before smiling, patting grime on the shoulder, before the team enters the woods, raph turning to nod a goodbye to Mikey, grime just sort of staring between them for a moment, before they fully leave.

Mikey waves goodbye enthusiastically with a wide smile, until raph is out of sight, and the smile becomes a bit more sad, small tears pricking his eyes

Sprig "you ok mikey?"

Mikey "yup! Totally.... fi.." He cuts himself off with a damn fountin of tears "aaAAAA I MISS HIM ALREADYYYY"

The little hug and fade out

Then the little bit at the fountain and the end of season 1

DIDNT MEAN TO WRITE AN ENTIRE EPISODE LAYOUT BUT EY IT HAPPENED! ifk why this su popped up again but oh god I was trying to figure out what was gonna happen with raph for way too long! But he fits so well for strength!

The story definitely changes a lot using Mikey, raph, and Donnie instead of the girls, but I think it still mostly works ^-^ plus it's just fun to think about

i think that the odyssey shard is some form of collection of the other shards powers

EVIDENCE:

the odyssey shard’s particle effects resemble those of the other shards.

First look at the most obvious, Donnie and Raph.

Raph’s effects are messy with holes and broken off bits and the odyssey shard has much of the same (shown below)

meanwhile donnie’s effects are more blocky and geometric, something that can also be seen in the lines of the odyssey shards effects. The curves are made up of straight lines and the holes and broken bits are also made of straight lines causing the shapes themselves to be more blocky than in raph’s. Leo’s effects are spikey and swirly. it curves in on itself a bit with sharp bits poking out. If we go with the idea that the odyssey shards power is a combination of the other shards then leo’s shard makes up the general shape.

Mikey is a bit harder to do because there is less resemblance and there is not a lot of references to look at but the blobby form of the odyssey shard could be attributed to mikey.

Next up is colors. The Odyssey shard is depicted using various different colors and changes the color of donnie marks. however these colors are not random

For one the colors that donnie’s marks change to are consistent, i don’t yet know if the specific markings themselves have any meaning, but the colors are: purple, red, blue, and yellow. AKA, the colors of the turtles.

last is the crystals themselves

while the odyssey shard and donnie’s shard may look the same at first and initially i assumed that donnie’s was a host for the odyssey shard but there are some differences. One is that the odyssey shard’s edges have deeper curves. the top and bottom points are skinnier on the odyssey shard than on donnie’s. the center face is smaller on the odyssey shard then on donnie’s. this also can’t be attributed to differences in redraws because of how consistent the odyssey shard’s drawings are with their lines and how different it is from donnie. another thing is how the odyssey shard and donnie’s shard have been specially described as different SHARDS not just as different.

something else here that interests me is how @/DRangerrr says that the odyssey might have been made to look like donnie’s shard because that would explain a lot of things such as it’s primary color being purple and its strong resemblance to donnie’s shard. what if it was made specifically to trick someone (maybe draxum or donnie) into thinking it was donnie’s shard why else would draxum give this random super powered rock to a toddler if he didn’t think it was made specifically for him.

anyways i know there is still some stuff unexplained but i think this stuff is very interesting and i wanted to contribute to the theories on this au.

Spikey Mikey Chapt 1

It hurt, freakin shell it hurt. It felt like fire in his veins. Hot and searing. But that was nothing compared to his eyes. They pulsed and throbbed. Even closed the light was too bright. Scorching his retinas. Dry and hot, stressed and spasming behind eyelids. The pain spread from there, giving him a headache in his temples. It was agony to move, to even breathe. Bit it still hurt regardless of movement. Then the pain increased tenfold. Body changing in unnatural ways. His jaw lengthened, teeth growing longer, sharper. A tail sprouted growing further, slamming the ground behind him. Limbs thickening, growing. Claws sharpened, lengthened. He felt the crack of his shell as it changed shape. Bones crackling as they grew beyond what they ever should have been. The pain washed over him in one final unbearable wave. Then fizzled out, leaving tingling numbness as his brain attempted to comprehend the amount of pain he was in as well as his body's new changes.

It was only because of the new blooming pain in his chest that he remembered to breathe. Lying on the far too cold floor. (Oh, who was he kidding? The floor wasn't that cold it was him that was that hot) He contemplated how absolutely horrendous his family's luck was. One of them accidentally getting double mutated once had been an ordeal. Of course years alter someone else got double mutated, and of course it was him. Couldn't have it any other way. At least he felt he still had his mind, that was something. Although he wished it would stop sending pain signals. Or accepting them for that matter. The pain slowly faded away simply leaving him exhausted. Limbs weighed down, he laid there.

'Body feels heavy like lead or stone. I'll just not move for awhile.'

And do that he did. Not until crying reached his ears did he bother to open his eyes. Trying to pinpoint the source. Around the corner. Drat, he'd have to get up and move to find out who was crying. Pulling his legs under him, he fought gravity and exhaustion. Coming to a stand he swayed dangerously. Like a dead tree in the raging wind. Centering himself, he slowly plodded forward. Each foot slightly dragging and thumping to the ground like a steady drum. Tail dragging behind. Turning the corner, his blurry vision attempted to focus enough to see the source of crying. He found it.

Two small children held each other, crying out into the air. The larger of the two had a spiky shell and tail, not unlike his new additions. Red was painted on him and for a moment he was worried about it being blood before realizing it was natural markings. The smaller of the pair looked up at him with liquid eyes, gold patches and freckles decorating him.

Both whimpered when he stepped closer, a strange large form covered in blood was too intimidating for their already scared minds.

He crouched making himself as small as possible.

"Hey, it's alright" his voice was deeper, gravely. Scratchy from the screaming he had done. But it seemed to soothe the duo.

"It's okay, promise. I'm not gonna hurt you. Y'think you guys might wanna come with me? I know where there's food and warmth. You'll be safe."

Slowly extending a hand out for them to take, his breath hitched when they didn't run and rubbed again his palm like cats; after they had sniffed it for possible danger, of course. Slowly, so very slowly, he gathered them into his arms. Tucking them into the crook of one, he held them close to his chest. They snuggled close, seeking the comfort of his warm plastron. He found that it was easier to walk on all fours (well, three as one arm was full) than two feet. Plodding forward, tail dragging through the dirt; he navigated his way home through the growing fog in his head.

'Shouldn't be this tired, mutating must taken more out of me than I thought.'

And suddenly he wasn't moving forward. No matter how hard he willed his limbs to keep going. The last of his energy reserves had been spent, vision clouding with black. His body began to shut down to save the energy he needed to stay alive. He slid to the ground, miraculously laying on his empty arm instead of squishing the kids. The world moved in slow motion, everything underwater. He did not hear the concerned peeps nor the searching voices calling his name.

I return to deliver more fanart for Heroes that are half-scaled by @nicoleisaboat-blog ! Turns out combining my Rise hyperfixation with my life-long love for dragons is a sure fire way to get me to obsess over a fic. Well played.

So here we’ve got some full body sketches of my interpretations on how they look like as well as two more quick doodles from work.

(I feel like Raph is starting to compete with Donnie over being my favorite turtle. I mean

look at this guy. Look at him and tell me you wouldn’t die for him. You can’t.)

I wanna go over some design choices real quick (I’ll try to keep it short lmao)

Mikey is very Round™️ except for his horns which resemble the stickers on his plastron (as stated in the fic). Unfortunately I think they’d prevent him from fully retracting his head (I also think none of the others can retreat fully into their shells since their limbs, necks and shells are kinda massive compared to before. I do feel like Mikey would get the furthest tho).

Donnie is obviously the smoothest both scale wise and in regards to lack of horns and spines/spikes. Like I said before, shortish legs, long-ass neck and tail (bc softshell turtles’ necks extend). Kept all his tech and, most importantly, his eyebrows. Speaking of tech, his draconic battle shell was one of my favorite aspects to design even tho I normally hate drawing machinery. Figured I’d give it a dragon scale pattern to fit the aesthetic and I think it works well. Also, snoot.

I absolutely love how Leo turned out. Braincell 1 was like ‘what if we gave him this kinda snout’ and braincell 2 went ‘absolutely based, let’s do it’. His red “ears” extending all the way to the tip of his tail is an awesome idea and I wanted to make them a bit jagged bc parallel lines are Boring. I broke up his “mask” so it’d be a bit more expressive and to have some extra variation between all of them (it does extend almost all the way to his shell on the back of his neck). Possibly my favorite design element is that the base of his antlers look like the base of his ōdachi!

Raph still is the most armored among all of them but like, dialed up to 11. Extra hard massive shell, scales extra spikey, alladat. I also gave him multiple rows of spines kind of like an alligator. He has the shortest neck relative to body size among all of them, mainly because I feel like bulkier, heavier dragons tend to be more stocky or “compressed” I guess (plus variation value. I wanted them to be 100% distinguishable even without looking at their shells).

As you can see I am obviously Very Normal about this AU.

Rottmnt Subnautica Au Doodles

i don't have a separated au drawing to share today, but i do have a topic to talk about: their memories of each other

in my au, splinter had escaped draxum with all four of the turtles…at first. but three years later, an incident happened that separated splinter from raph, leo, and donnie, and leo and donnie from each other. mikey was back at the lair when this happened, so he was uninvolved

due to the…nature of the incident - particularly what happened to him - raph has the least amount of memories of his past prior to being found. he knows that he belonged to a person, and that he had people he needed to protect, but that's all he can recall. the rest is filled in by draxum, which is very little. donnie is next, remembering that they had brothers - particularly a twin - but not remembering names or what they look like. then there is leo who remembers not only having siblings, but a name: donatello. he also remembers vague details, such as one brother being spikey or another being fragile.

mikey not only knows the most about his brothers, but is practically haunted by them: from the hazy look in splinter's eyes when they're mentioned to the altar dedicated to the one believed to have died that night, mikey can't escape the brothers he lost all those years ago. quite depressing, especially since mikey was too young at the time to be able to remember more than bits and pieces. it fills them with guilt, not being able to remember their brothers, and makes them even more determined to find them and "fix" their family.

Yes, I am planning on making them different species. Raph is the only four-eyed turtle as of now!

It does take more inspo from 2012, but it's its own thing!

I made Raph a four-eyed turtle because they're pretty, and as much as I love people making Raph spikey, I really am more drawn to the contrast of a very pretty species with a more aggressive personality!

They're also endangered due to trade and demand of their shells, which brings us to my next couple of points:

WHY WERE THE TURTLES MUTATED?

I am very tempted to have some messed up tokyo mew mew esque origins where they were results from an unauthorized experiment trying to make more durable versions of endangered species.

"Oh? You're endangered because people keep hunting you for your pretty shell? Just become invincible, idiot."

With dubious alien origins of the main chemicals, of course! Because this is TMNT!

Splinter (Hamato Yoshi) isn't mutated in this, for reasons, but through shenanigans I'm still figuring out he adopts the turtles YIPEEE.

They still live in the sewers though, since Splinter doesn't want to risk them being discovered and taken back to a lab.

The main story involves the teens fighting marvel-esque bad guys and silly alien dudes like in canon, but slowly but surely become more and more exposed to the citizens of their city, and become accepted by most of the general populace as neighborhood superheroes! Because dammit I WANT these kids to be accepted by the people around them and have a chance at a slightly normal teenage experience. 😭💔

They aren't really different ages as they were all hatched at similar times in the lab pre-mutation. Perhaps a week or two at most between them. Age order is still the same as every continuity minus Rise with Leo being the oldest, Mikey being the youngest, and Raph and Donnie being the middle kids.

I'm still unsure what I want to do with Casey and April in this AU, since they are incredibly flexible characters in canon, but I do like it when they're older than the turtles and act as like... pseudo-older siblings or even a double set of parents to them. That's the cutest dynamic for me, really. Not too big on turtle x human ships.

But yeah, silly teens doing ninja things, and MAKING FRIENDS!!!!! It's not going to be anything super deep, just silly and wish-fulfillment-y.

The turtles will probably be 16-ish since as a 19 yro I can no longer relate to the youngsters 👴 also I cackle and cry whenever I see 14 year olds in cartoons drive

Here's the Premise of This AU :

Mikey loved making friends, helping out and eating pizza, he always does, he can't help it though, he's a very social turtle and his family and acquaintances know it, but what he doesn't know is to truly love someone, he loved his family and friends who loved him back but that's just it, he doesn't know how to love someone who is more than just family. But that all changes when one night when on partol, he sees a human boy his age with blue spikey hair, neon green eyes and red shoes with white straps running in the park.
