In which while standing by the break room water cooler, you spot a certain Second Lieutenant looking absolutely miserable and you call him over to cheer him up. Work was something that was incredibly mundane for you, even of the place that employed you happened to be Ostania's SSS. You actually worked as a receptionist at the front desk but had just swapped out with the other receptionist that was organizing files in the backroom, with you now taking their place instead. But now, it feels like the right time for a break.

The break room is relatively empty when you enter it, which is no surprise, the many men and women employed by the state were very dedicated to their jobs and only seemed to take breaks when they've finished the majority of the work that was assigned to them that day.

Now standing by the water cooler and taking a swig from your cup; you look over the area to spot anyone to strike up a conversation with. You spot a certain Second Lieutenant who looked to be moping across the room. He was staring at a photo in his hand, likely on of his sister, with a miserable expression on his face.

You couldn't help but feel a bit concerned considering how cheerful the superior officer usually was. Especially if he was looking at a photo of his sister and looking like a kicked puppy. It made you wonder if the two of them got into a fight or something similar. So you decided to call out to him and hopefully cheer him up a bit.

"Hey, Second Lieutenant Briar, you look really gloomy today. Is everything alright?"

You asked him in a slightly raised voice to catch his attention, turning your body towards him.

The long haired man looked up from the photo and to you; solemn expression still glued to his face. He walked over to you with his shoulders slumped; heaving out a deep sigh once his feet stopped a short distance from your own.

"Hey [Name], good afternoon. To be honest I'm not doing so great.... It's— It's Yor; I think she hates me or something..."

Yuri muttered quietly, his sad demeanour making an uncomfortable contrast to the incredibly cheerful and enthusiastic man he was just yesterday.

No wonder he looked like he had just left a funeral. Maybe the two Briar siblings did get into an argument. It's incredibly unlikely, but considering what the garnet eyed man had just said it was certainly a possibility. The poor guy just looked so heart broken, it made your own heart clench painfully in your chest with sympathy.

"Yor couldn't hate you, Sir. She's your older sister, it's impossible for siblings to truly hate each other. Why in the world would you think that?"

You asked him in disbelief; your voice showing clearly how flabbergasted you were, yet it was still respectful as the man before was your superior.

Yuri looked down; his bangs shading his eyes but not completely obscuring them from view. To your surprise, you could see tears collecting on his lower lashes. It was hard for you to really grasp that this man was the same Second Lieutenant Briar that could pull information from a suspected spy in only five minutes. But the man was still human, he had thoughts and feelings of his own outside of work.

"Yor... she got married. She's been married– for a whole year –and she never told me anything! Does she not trust me enough to tell me something so important!?"

He cried quietly, his voice small and timid, quivering with each word that escaped his lips.

Your heart twisted painfully from behind your ribcage. The man you had known and looked up to for so many years was shedding tears in front of you. You couldn't help but want to embrace him and dry his tears; it was like an instinct from deep within your heart. Why in the world would his sister do such a thing? She held something that important from him for an entire year?

"Second Lieutenant– No –Yuri... Perhaps she was just worried that you wouldn't like her husband. You're very protective of her, you know. She may just love this husband of hers so much that she didn't want to see you disapprove of him."

You speak softly to him, raising a hand to his face and gently wiping away his tears with the pad of your thumb.

Glassy garnet hued eyes look up at you; dusted with hope. He doesn't bother to ask you to stop or remove your hands from his face; seemingly enjoying the feeling. The man even leaned into your hand as you gently pet his head in an attempt to comfort him.

"You really think so? No... You're probably right, she couldn't hate me, she wouldn't have answered the phone if she did, right?."

Yuri attempt to assure himself, his reassurances sounding more like a question as he subconsciously fiddles with a loch of his hair.

This man was honestly just too adorable. Right now, he could be compared to a young boy being reassured by an older brother or friend. He was so pure yet he could turn his personality on a dime, no question asked. Yuri Briar was an enigma; a concept that you couldn't ever hope to grasp but you would still try. Why give up on someone so inspirational such as him?

"Of course, Sir. Here, help yourself to some water. You may have only cried a little, but I won't let you become dehydrated on my watch."

You tell him softly, grabbing and filling another disposable paper cup and passing it into the blackette's awaiting hand.

Yuri cheeks pinken a bit as he takes the cup from your hand. He looks down at it with sparkling eyes; wondering just how someone other than his older sister could make him feel better so effectively. A small smile slowly worms it's way onto his face as he takes a sip from his cup. It's like his coworkers are a part of his family now... yeah... he likes the sound of that.

        This can be read with or without reading my Yuri Briar x Fem! Spy! Reader series: An Alliance (part 1).

In the beginning stages of the relationship, Yuri is always so flustered and surprised whenever you hug or praise him. He's not on cloud nine, he's basically become a god at this point. 

In the beginning, Yuri's face is always bright red as he avoids your gaze. When you compliment him, he mutters a "thank you" or is always trying to deflect the compliment and spin it around back to you.

"Yuri, your eyes look so pretty today! Like rubies!" you complimented him as you passed by.  "Yours looks more pretty and ruby-ful!" he exclaimed almost aggressively, his fists clenched and his cheeks red as he held a determined look on his face to praise you back.  "Aw, thanks! But my eyes are (eye color)?" you smiled, watching him sink into the ground in not only shame at being so stupid to forget your eyes, but to so aggressively shout at you too (he apologized profusely afterwards).

Whenever you hug Yuri, he stiffens up. He's almost a little worried he's about to die, why else would an angel be hugging him? 

Whenever Yuri sees you, he already knows to hold out his arms so you can jump in his arms and hug him. It doesn't matter what's around him or what's in his hands, he's willing to suffer a first-degree burn from his hot coffee for a few days then have the audacity to not hug you. 

Whenever Yuri sees you, it's now mandatory for him to speak the first compliment before you do first. He feels like he'd be a terrible boyfriend if he didn't compliment you first.

"Yuri! How are you doing? I love your—" "(Y/N), THOSE PANTS LOOK AMAZING ON YOU!" he shouted. "THANK YOU!" you shouted back, matching his energy. "I LOVE YOUR—" "(Y/N), I LOVE YOUR HAIR! IT'S A BREATHTAKING COMPARISON TO YOUR SKIN!" Yuri yelled. "THANK YOU! I LOVE YOUR—" "(Y/N), I LOVE YOUR—" "DAMN IT, YURI! LET ME COMPLIMENT YOU!" you shouted. 

Yuri did in fact not let you compliment him. 

The first time you patted his head he almost became a Yuri Briar soft-serve because you melted his heart with your gesture. His face was beat red and he audibly went quiet while his mind was screaming about you touching him. Whether you had to reach up, bend down, or hold your hand out straight to pat his head, he was freaking out from how cute it was. 

More later in the relationship, Yuri's always expecting you to either physically or verbally show your love whenever you see him. If you accidentally forget a hug or head pat, he will grab your arm and pull you back to him with big tears in his eyes, asking what sin did he commit to suffer such a cruel fate of no loving from you? (He's so dramatic). 

Yuri has no shame pulling you in for a hug or holding your hand in front of his coworkers, boss, or even Yor! 

Yuri likes to return your affectionate gestures. He'll gladly pull you in for a hug or compliment you every time he sees you. Every time he sees you, he has to one-up his compliment from last time. He makes every compliment unique and wholesome, never stopping until you got a big smile on your face and red cheeks to match his pretty ruby eyes. 

Yuri loves your affection, receiving and giving, and he's not afraid to shout it out to the whole world 

Yuri actually did shout out how much he loved you and your affection while drunk once. be wary of his clinginess when he's drunk, hungover, and sober. It looks like he's the affectionate one in the relationship with how much he clings to you. 

Everyone is jealous of your and Yuri's relationship because he will fold to anything you say. You have basically no fights, and fights you do have can easily be resolved with a little bit of affection. He could never be mad at you for more than twenty minutes.

I totally loved your idea!!! Fiona is so funny of a characters and this idea is already inmensily funny on the show, so it was really funny to write it with her!

Hope you like it as much as I did! 🫰🏼

Fiona was hesitant to accept this mission, she hated the idea of depending in someone else for anything, she is more than capable to achive any goal, she can fulfill her missions without any problem and in little time, so she doesn't like this idea at all

However, she doesn't want to say no to a mision neither, if she has to invest so much time and dedication to the point to fake marriage then is an important and delicate mission, and she can't defraud the rest if she has been asked this, so, as much as she hates it, Fiona accepts the mision at the end

She doesn't really take much time on finding someone who becomes her fake spouse, as long as it can fulfill the role and doesn't bring her troubles then is find for her, and, honestly, once she find you and start this fake relationship she didn't payed much attention to you, just the necesary to make sure no one doubted your relasionship

It is dificult to get on Fiona's heart for how focused she is on her mision and how obsessed she is with Twilight, but little things like treating her with kindness and being interested on her, showing her care or even admiration will slowly warm up her heart

It take quite a long time but the key point is managing to catch her attention enough for her to the curiosity start to sparkle inside of her, even if is just the smallest feeling it is there and, soon or later will lead her to start to want to know more about you

Is quite probable that she already knows everything about you since before starting the fake relationship because she needed to know you were a safe option, however once you catch her attention she finds herself wanting to know more about you, so from that moment she will be paying more attention to you

Her sharp senses now are following your every move full of curiosity, she is careful to don't get caught (still, that doesn't mean it can happen that you feel observe from time to time, but she is always quick to say that it must be nothing if you ever tell her about it)

Fiona doesn't exactly know when what she feels for you started to be love but she won't doubt it much, if she falls in love she will do it with someone who she finds admirable and amazing (even if that person isn't a spy), even so, if she ever question her feelings for you she will always finds reasons to say that you are amazing and perfect

Fiona is really straight forward with herself, so when she knows that she likes you and will actually like to be with you (and after making peace with how now the one she love isn't Twilight but you) she will start a plan to win your heart, she won't say it right away nor force her feelings onto you, she prefers to win your heart in a proper way by showing you how of an amazing partner she can be for you, how much she can offer you in a relationship, Fiona will even start to show off her skills too, she likes to impress you with them and if you do compliment her is like a victory for her (she doesn't show it much but she actually becomes really flustered whenever you compliment her)

You didn’t know it…but he found you. 

Loud was going through single people in the area, looking for a potential spouse. Your profile was exactly what he was seeking to find. Someone normal…good looking, but normal in the sense you didn’t seem like a spy, nor did you have any criminal history. It would be a shame if someone as perfect as you were to get into any legal trouble and ruin his plans. 

You were just going to the store, getting some groceries, when you bumped into someone. 

“I’m so sorry!” You exclaimed as you picked up the items you dropped and helped the man to pick up his own items. 

A small laugh came from the man, “It’s okay! I should have been paying more attention to where I was going.” He said as he looked at you. 

You smiled at the man, and found yourself in awe…this man…he was gorgeous. 

The man smiled back at you and held out his hand to shake yours, “I’m Loid. Loid Forger!” And he helped you place the items dropped into your cart. 

“Nice to meet you Loid!” You sighed, “I have to get going now, but thank you for helping me!” 

Loud laughed, “It was my fault you dropped your items, it’s only fair I help pick them up!” He turned to leave, and for a second…you were sad to see him go. He seemed like such a kind man. But, you didn’t want to get your hopes up of a possible friendship just yet. 

After leaving the grocery store, you headed home with your groceries. And you thought that encounter would be the last time you saw Loid Forger. 

But you were wrong. 

From then on out, you ran into Loid a couple times. Funny how you never noticed this man before, but now you were seeing him all over the place. Not enough to suspect anything nefarious, but it was certainly interesting how much your lives seemed to overlap. 

At one point, you even met his daughter. They were at the store getting peanuts, when Anya ran up to you. 

“Papa! It’s y/n!” She exclaimed and ran up to you, giving you a big hug. 

You smiled at the young girl, “Hi Anya! It’s so good to see you again!” You picked her up and spun her around, something she loved for you to do. 

Anya turned back to Loid with a shocked expression on her face, before turning back to you with a smirk. 

‘What’s got her so happy?’ You thought. ‘She’s just so cute…I wonder if she has a mother…’

You set Anya down, and she walked back over to Loid and looked faint. 

Loid immediately looked concerned, “Anya? What’s wrong?” He patted her head, and checked her forehead for a fever. 

It also made you concerned, so you walked closer to the two of them. 

She stumbled back to her dad, and said “I am just so upset. I have a papa, but most kids have two parents. I love my papa, but I want another parent. I wanna be a happy family of three.” She looked at you with the same smirk. 

‘So…he’s single? Maybe…I can ask for his number…’ You thought, looking at the two with a hopeful expression on your face. 

Loid seemed shocked by Anya’s “outburst” and looked at you. 

He smiled, with a light blush on his face as Anya continued, “Y/n is so nice, papa you should get their number and date them so I can have two parents.” Which only caused his blush to get deeper. 

“So…what do you say, y/n? I’m not asking you to jump in and be a parent immediately, but Anya likes you. That’s very important to me.” He rubbed the back of his neck,  “We could…go on a few dates and see where it goes.” 

You blushed as well, Loid was so handsome…he wanted to go on dates with you? ‘I wouldn’t mind going on dates…and Anya is such a sweet kid, maybe…maybe this could work out.’ 

You didn’t realize how long you’d been lost in thought until Anya ran back up to you, “Please? I like you lots!” 

Bringing you out of your thoughts, you stuttered, “Y-yes! I would like that!” And you gave them a genuine smile. 

You didn’t notice…but both Anya and Loid reacted to your statement by smirking briefly. 

Got you. 

After that, you went on a couple dates. Loid was making sure you would be the perfect partner. 

You didn’t trust him immediately, but after a couple dates he asked you to visit his home so you could see Anya and you all could watch her favorite spy show together. 

Not thinking anything of it, you agreed. He seemed kind, and you quickly grew to love Anya. She was one of the sweetest and smartest kids you’ve ever encountered, so you were excited to see her more. 

You reached their apartment, and were about to knock when Anya pulled the door open. How did she know you were here? 

“Y/n! Papa they’re here!” She rushed towards you and jumped, hugging you like a koala. 

With a laugh, you hugged her back, holding her up. “Hey Anya!” You walked into their apartment, still carrying Anya. 

Loid came into view, coming from somewhere down the hallway. “Hello! It’s good to see you again!” He laughed at the sight of you and Anya, “You can’t cling to them forever!” 

She sighed, and said “Why not? They don’t mind! Do you?” And she looked up at you with the biggest puppy eyes you’ve ever seen. 

“Of course not! I don’t mind carrying my little Anya forever!” And you meant it. You loved this little girl with all your heart. You’d seen her out with Loid a good number of times when you were around town, so you’ve had plenty of time to get to know Anya as well as Loid. 

But honestly? Who WOULDN’T love Anya, even after the first meeting. 

Loid gave a dramatic sigh, defeated. “At least let them go until we finish our apartment tour.” He gave Anya a look you couldn’t decipher, and she got down immediately. 

He walked you through the kitchen and living room, then showed you where the bathroom was, and skipped past a certain door in the hallway. Anya was very excited to show you her adorable room, and introduce you to Mr. Chimera. 

Loid showed you his room briefly, then went to the door he skipped. 

“And this…is your room.” He said. 

Suddenly…you got a bad feeling. “My room? Wh-” You were cut off when Loid placed something over your mouth. Some kind of cloth damp with an unknown liquid. 

You felt yourself getting faint, and Loid caught you in his arm, while still using the other to hold this cloth over your mouth. 

Your vision was getting blurry, and before you lost consciousness…you heard a conversation between Loid and Anya that filled you with fear. 

Anya looked excited, “Papa! Papa! Can we keep them?” She said, all but jumping up and down. 

The last thing you heard was Loid’s voice. 

“Yes…we'll keep them. Forever.”

Yor will take the longest time to adapt, but that doesn't mean that she didn't likes you. She will try to remember all the things that triggered you or the things that help you to be able to take good care of you

For a while she probably were so nervous that even treat you like if you were made of glass, so Loid will have to reasure her that its fine, she didn't have to be so nervious or careful, he will teach her how to approach to you, even Anya will try to help! (and if you yourself approach her, maybe to apologize or to reasure her that she is fine Yor will be on the verge of tears)

They always try to avoid whatever triggered you, but in case you ended getting overwhelmed both are quickly to react and help you out. Anya too, since she can read your mind she could easily know when something is bothering you and she is ready to help you too

We know they are pretty protective parents, so in the case that you get overwhelmed or even start getting an anxiety attack by someone's fault they could take care of it rather easily (Yor is more direct while confronting the person), if it was an accident with an apologize it would be fine, but if that person did it in purpose then they won't be able to get away so easily
