another Unnecessary Purchase sorted and jarred!

#now this one was a challenge #a lot of the 'sprinkles' had verryyyyy slight color differences #so much orange #AND ONE SINGULAR RED CIRLCE. HUH????#all of this and there was One red??? im mad!#ill have to get like. idk one of the valentines mixes or whatever #im so tempted to just... buy a bunch of mixes online #cause a lot arent available in stores #and then get a bunch of tiny jars to sort them by shape and/or color #i have a space for them. the perfect drawer.#each section could fit four tiny square bottles #I HAVE IT ALLLLLLLL FIGURED OUT #photos from the bog #with these clay sprinkles i can do so much #glue them onto things. make shaker cards.#uh. um. uh #other things as well im sure #and hey they sure do add some nice color to my room!#now if yall will excuse me i need to take a hammer to the wall #and needlenose pliers to keychains

Cooking and baking

A small pet peeve of mine with cooking and baking is when recipes say the container rather than the amount

Like, instead of saying "500ml of cream" you say "a pot of cream". Or "a whole can of corn". Like okay which kind of can??? What amount???? Corn comes in more than one size you can't just tell me a can. PLEASE i am begging you tell me the WEIGHT

This is especially a problem with recipes from different countries, for example America. Because your stick of butter is different to our butter. STOP SAYING STICK OF BUTTER TELL ME THE QUANTITY IN GRAMS PLEASE I HAVE A FAMILY

that being said I feel like I see this crop up in like american recipes in particular. Idk if I've ever seen a recipe in one of our cookbooks that does this....

anyway please just tell me the gosh darn weight I am dying here I have a family I JUST NEED TO KNOW THE WEIGHT

I try to avoid supporting Amazon all possible, but I’ve had people asking when I’m going to start a wishlist for the books I lost in the fire. it’s very sweet that they want to do this, and I would love to take them up on it, but would that make me a terrible, unprincipled person? I don’t know of anywhere besides Amazon that has features like this, is the problem.
