- (sorry for bad photo) Rewatching Season 2 and THE FLY IS IN THE BOX OH MY GOD! Not only was my fly observation correct but it was there the whole TIME.

I imagine this taking place early-mid 80’s considering the punkish vibes we (I) want (and the actual Heaven’s Gate was in the mid 70’s so it’s thematic or whatever). Kishibe is slightly younger, but not middle aged.

(I like to imagine that this is the moment where he just started growing out the gray. Shiny gray roots with black edges.)

As mentioned earlier you’re involved in the punk scene, loud and angry and so not Kishibe’s type. You probably meet him at a bar after or before or in between watching shows and rioting. You’re a bit mouthy, maybe disrespectful (Which Kishibe does like).

At first you probably assume Kishibe is straight laced, even with the piercings and scars he can’t escape looking like a haggard businessman in the suit. He might’ve drawn your attention on purpose, waiting until your leaning in his ear and making fun of how boring he is.

(Later that night he shows you how not boring he is as he fucks you over and over until you can’t even speak.)

Somehow you end up staying. He never makes you breakfast or offers you respect and you don’t do much in return. He fucks you, you fall asleep in his bed, and usually don’t wake until Kishibe has already left for work. If you’re lucky he’ll make enough coffee for two.

And after a month or however long you want to just be fucking him for, you ask for more. You’re not naive, but you are younger than Kishibe and still holding onto the idea of love. If you beg for scraps of his attention he’ll ignore you. If you bug him, desperate for anything more than rough sex, he’ll kick you out for the night. It shouldn’t be a problem because you don’t live together, you can only share his bed a few nights a week. That doesn’t stop you from crying until you can’t see and sulking back to your car.

Finally he tells you why. Kishibe is a piece of shit bastard who is definitely going to hell. You’re the angst filled young adult he picked up in a shady bar. Your idea of rebellion is yelling in the road and chucking beer bottles at buildings. Kishibe is planning government coups.

And it’s not the difference that’s the problem, it’s the fact that Kishibe is definitely going to hell. Even if you were to die (like everyone else he’s ever known) he wouldn’t see you in whatever kind of afterlife exists.

After awhile you understand that, even if Kishibe doesn’t explain it. So you’re satisfied to keep sneaking into his bed every other night and pressing kisses softer than normal against his cheek whenever you stay up longer than him (which is rare).

Kishibe might be confident that he’s going to hell, but right now you’re both on Earth, even if it’s just for the briefest moment.

i do feel that with some songs! rarely though i feel it with osts from one piece mostly the strawhats and... law i only heard like 2 snippets he has a different one in the wano card iirc? i might be wrong it played like once unlike the zou one. but the best one for me is to the grand line... when i say i get goosebumps everytime I GET GOOSEBUMPS EVERYTIME. it's so lovely and i really feel like. ascending with that

also i never ship anything at all either... other than self-type crap because really. most of the time i just can't find myself to ship the characters at all?? and obviously im not criticising anyone who ships them. for me it ALWAYS needs to make canonical sense (so like if its enstablished and its a cool ship thats not illegal yes 🤝) but the rest? no. and idk about you but the self-shipping is "therapeutic" to me? — cause it feels great like connecting to the characters on an even stronger level,,, idk i get even more curious about them and search shit up (though u can do that normally too) my dumbass even ends up like going "yeah but they wouldnt even like me" and i get sad 💀💀 am i just delusional 💀 maybe lol

But Law’s full theme is on YouTube! The one you hear in Zou is just the beginning/end of the full song, but the part that makes me 🤯 is like the “chorus” of the song (at least where the chorus would be if it was a real song with lyrics lol). I still don’t understand why they never used more of it in the anime lol

2. You’re so right about the self-shipping tho. (The therapeutic thing) That’s the only thing I “ship” but even then I keep it to myself 90% of the time (Law is the only one I’ve ever posted the art I made for him/me lol) And idk if maybe I feel so strongly about Law since I relate to him way more than the others I like?? But yeah I went and spoiled myself looking up his wiki when I first started liking him 💀 I also agree with the “would this character even like me? No” with everyone except Law oddly enough?? He’s just like me fr. What I’m implying is that we’d be perfect for each other LMAO.

And the being fine with the ship when it makes sense in canon is also how I feel, which I guess it’s not totally implied at all but Nami x Vivi is cute and makes sense. These two definitely play thumb wars, just saying.

At 5 years old Patri wasn't allowed to leave the house as much and go the small events the older elves would host. So Licht made sure to go and check up on him to see how he's doing.

I have a feeling Licht is a great leader over his tribe. But he'd often forget what goes where and a few other abstract things that he doesn't often join in on.

When going around the little shops the elves own, Licht would always bring Patri! Always making sure he has a little trinket or book to bring home.

Especially when it involves the history of their tribe! That's extremely important to know for when he gets older.

Licht knows when Patri is up to no good. He isn't necessarily a mischievous child, per se, but he certainly has that evil lab in his brain and Licht is very aware of it.

Whenever Patri gets sad, he may try and hide it but Licht's Father Signal™ spots the sadness IMMEDIATELY. No hiding from your father figure!

Patri also supposedly gets hangry when he doesn't eat. So Licht always makes sure to have a few of his favorite snacks in his kitchen or on hand.

Lots of comforting hugs! Licht knows how hard it was going through his own teenage years, so he can't help but feel a bit of empathy for the poor teenage elf.

Licht doesn't know young elf slang. His mind goes BLANK whenever Patri has other young elf friends over. He may be only 25 but he doesn't pay much attention!

Patri ends up using flashcards to teach Licht this stuff. Vetto, Fana, Rhya, and Ronne (pls i love ronne im srry) join in on this lesson. Rhya, of course scored a 95% and the rest pretty much failed.

Now just because this post is on patri and licht's father-son relationship, imagine: What if :(( Patri had lost his father because of some traumatic event and this was while he was hanging with the older elves. So he just completely avoids contact with anyone and everyone. But Licht, being the caring soul he is, is the first one to go up to Patri and ask how he's doing. To actually embrace him and not commenting anything extra. PLEASE. MY HEART.

And please accept: Since Rhya always comments on Patri's age and how annoying he is, what if one day Patri kinda snaps? Like "oh, is that so? Is that how you think?" And after Rhya clarifies, he's just like "Well thank you for the input. I'll take my leave now." RHYA SITS THERE, SLIGHTLY BOTHERED BY HOW PUNCTUAL HE WAS. Patri would've genuinely been hurt by this since he tries so hard to blend in. I mean, he can't bond too well with the younger elves so who is he to go to? The rest is up to you,,, 🤧

Hey so i just wanna thank you for what you had said to me. That alone gave me some will power to finish this hc. But disclaimer, i may or may not have ignored Leo, Jean, and Napoleon, but its not that i hate or dislike them, its more of me not knowing what to do for them. Comte:

You and Comte had a nice relationship. He’ll spoil you like hell, sure you might have felt bad bc you can never give him anything in return but he would say ur happiness is enough for him. You guys also promised to be honest with each other, so you both can stay happy. 

But like some relationships like that, one of them always hides a secret. Some harsher than others, some more silly and makes you wonder why did they keep that a secret. You had one of these secrets. Not a harsh one, more kinda silly, but you don't know how to tell him, or what his reaction would be, so you kept your phone hidden. 

Also you made some cringy tik toks (srry but who doesn't) and didn't want him to know. 

Sometimes when you aren't busy with work around the house, instead of seeing him like you used to always do, you’ll go to your room to make some tik toks.  But you would go see him occasionally. 

He eventually caught on and was worried about you. So one day when you had finished cleaning and was on your break, you went to your room to upload a tik tok that you’ve been planning on doing while you were cleaning. 

You were 1 quarter through dancing say so by a doja cat, when he softly knocked. You couldn't hear the knock through, because of the music and you were so focused on the dance. So he came in but stood there in shock staring at you. 

You stopped half way through and looked at him kinda worried.  He then chuckled now realizing that why you won't see him burning every break. Also that you kept a phone hidden. The only reason he knew it was a phone was because of sebas. He promised to keep it a secret as long as he spends more time with him than the phone. You agree of course. 

Dazai: 

One day Dazai was looking for you to tell you that sedas was looking for you. The first place he looked was ur room, but insead of finding you he found a small black rectangle thing on your nightstand. You forgot to put it inside your nightstand because you were in a rush that morning. 

He walked up to it with a look of interest. And then it turned on with a small ‘buzz’ and a notification from tiktok. He was intrigued. So he picked it up and for some stupid reason, you dont have a password on your phone, so he got into the app. He was really fond of the arts and dances and creativity that went into it. 

Then you walked into your room to see a smiling and impressed Dazai, holding your phone. You were frozen in fear for what he would say. The he turned to say and asked if you can do one of the challenges with him. 

You were a little confused but then agreed and asked what challenge he wanted to do. 

He then showed you the flip the switch challenge. So you guys did that. After you did more stuff like dances, challenges, reactions. He soon became very famous, which was no surprise to you. 

The two of you had fun, but you told him to promise you that he won't tell anyone about it. And he swore he wouldn't. 

Sebas: 

One day, Sebastian was looking for you. First search the kitchen to see if you are there. Nothing. Then the dining room. Nope. Then your bedroom. You were in the garden at the time hanging laundry. 

Because that morning you were in a rush because you had a lot to do and you wanted to do them quickly but right so you don't need to redo them, so you can go to your phone. 

While Sebastian was looking in your room, he noticed a phone on your bed.(p.s, idk what time period he was from but just go with it.) You forgot to hide it because you were in a rush. 

Then he saw a notification, from an app called tik tok. He was curious because he never heard of the app. Before he can see anything further, you happen to walk in your room exhausted. 

You saw him looking at your phone for a bit then looked at you. 

"How'd you get this?" He asked, sounding really interested. "It was in my pocket when i first came here. "Ahh, and what is 'tik tok"?" He asked, still interested. So you showed him what it was and he was mesmerized by it. 

Also you guys may or may not have done a few together while on break.

Isaac: 

He was on his way looking for you because he wanted to give you a gift. But little did he know you were doing a dance on tik tok. But the dance itself was a problem for the little guy. By that i mean a lot of body movement (idk any dance that would sound like that so witch ever one u want if there is any) 

You were almost halfway through the dance before he opened the door, yet for some reason, you didn't see him. 

He was left face a bright red because of how flustered he was. U finally noticed him almost done with the dance, a bit embarrassed.

"I-i ummm…how long were you standing there?" U studered a bit still embarrassed. 

"A-about 15 s-seconds" he said, still flustered. Then he asked what was the thing you were on. You answered a phone and an app called tik tok showing him. 

You guys would sometimes post videos with each other, just being an absolute cute couple.

You guys even got the title 'the cutest couple' from some of ur fans. U even had more fans but u thought it was bc of isaac. But you both loved it, even if Isaac gets embarrassed from some of the videos you guys make, but he'll get you back for posting them, that was a promise. 

Theo: 

He has been stressed because of work. He was on the clock, 24/7. Of course he would see his hondje at dinner, but after dinner he would go back to work. 

This was kinda ok for you, yes you did miss him, but you also had time to yourself to which you used that time with your phone. So most breaks you had, you would go to your room and be there for the whole time you had.

Arthur took notice of this, like always, so he made a plan. Because you would just stay in your room most of the time he thought you were sad and wanted more theo. He also thought his dear friend needed a break from work. So when he got the time to talk to Theo, he used it to his advantage. 

He told theo something he knew that would make him wanna, *ahem* punish you. (Plz dont ask what i took forever planning that out and i still have nothing)

So as true to form, he cleared his night, so he could do what he planned. 

Because it was night, you had a lot more time to do a dance. So you were half way through a dance before theo barged in the room angry. 

"Hondje!" He said with a scowl. The suddenness of it made you somehow trip and end up falling on the floor with a small 'ow'. 

Theo did a small scoff, looking at you, then he noticed a phone on your desk. His attention was now fully on the device. So he asked about it. 

You told him what it was and the app you were on. He was confused and found your time kinda weird but before you can make a snarky remark, he remembered why he had come there in the first place. 

"Oh, hondje, you deserve a punishment." He said with a smirk, you were confused as to why you needed one. 

"Punishment? Punishment for wh-" before you can finish that question, your lips were caught in a rough kiss. 

Y'all had an amazing night but the next morning you asked theo why you needed a punishment. He came clean and told you what Arthur told him. You told him you never did that. 

Later Theo saw Arthur with a huge grin on his face when he saw theo. Knowing his plan was a success.

you wake up to his humming of your favorite song. giggling as you see him shake his toosh a little

turns out he’s making soup for you

you stretch and wrap your arms around him, resting your head against his back. “how do you know how to make this?”

“well when cassie is sick i make her this and this seems to cheer her up”

as the soup is cooking he makes you take a shower

you groan and moan and just do not want to. he picks you up and flings you over his shoulder as gives you a bath and puts your comfy pjs on you as well. 

you’re all med up and comfortable in your pjs as you wait for your soup. he brings you soup into your favorite mug which says in bold black letters, “never trust an atom. they make up everything.”

you two cuddle and chow down on some yummy home made soup as you watch rom-coms

he stays the night with you and makes sure that you fall asleep first, taking care of you every step of the way and letting you fall asleep on his chest✨✨✨

Turns out, more than once, apprntly, drmncy has actlly been used as a, threat?? DKDJDKN we got som rlly old memories abt Jamie meeting a “System” (idk if they’re a sys, it’s such a long story) n He used drmncy 2 guilt trip her (n she ddnt even kno what systm was @ the time dkhdbddb)

Anywy besides that HUGE outlier, it’s kinda,, rough, bc ur askin 4 our experiences, not our views, so when it comes 2 secondhand drmncy, as in like other systms not us- it’s alwys hard

N it’s RLLY funny ur askin this rn anon bc coincidntlly we just came out of a WHOLE frickin sitch that involved secndhnd drmncy experiencs (again, I mean watching ppl in other systms go dormant)

Like, Jamie’s prev ex had, ppl go dormant, like a lot of em, bc they broke up, n 2 of their mmbrs bsclly sent me wht can be equivlnt 2 a sui note- n I got that note frm bsclly som1 equivlnt 2 my brthr, @ the time, n Sal’s brthr [@ the time] bc they shared the blog

We r rlly close 2 anthr sys whose host wnt drmnt 4 som big rsns (they also have trauma abt ppl using drmncy as an escape route frm their actions, man life b wild huh?) n jst came back so that was rlly wild n hard bc she was (n is) like a mom figure 4 us, esp 2 Peter, n their whole sys, bc they’re median, kinda crashed in on itself tmprrly n it was rlly hard 2 watch KDH it makes u kind of mad @ those ppl who cause othr ppl 2 go thru sm pain thta they jst go drmnt u kno?

But rounding back 2 Jamie’s ex (n I g the 1st exmple 2 b vaguely), that was rlly hard, n bc of that, drmncy is smth we can’t unsee as death anymr

Hey so disclaimer that won’t b in the tags (Bc som ppl dnt read them) n I will pit here just in case: yes we kno dormancy is NOT equal 2 death, dormancy always has the chance of them coming back, b w how we spcfclly exprncd these, it felt that way, esp w the goodbyes, n the crying, n how they litrlly treated it as sui//. Not 2 mention the Older trauma Jamie had/has where His “systm” litrlly said “do u miss him? Well he’s dead now”

It’s hard 2 uncorrel8 them- bc it dpnds on how u go thru it- and anthr disclaimer is that if it’s a drmncy in ur own systm, the brain may b able 2 visualize it as a death, heck som systms we kno have a “graveyard” where all the drmnt systm mmbrs end up in; and of som jst “disappear” n I heard anthr sys in their headspace it’s seen as like pods? I dnt think drmncy shld b smth 2 b afraid of— BUT @ the same time it’s OK 2 b afraid of it, or 2 h8 it, or 2 feel ANYTH abt it bc, almost all the time it’s not ur own choice 2 do so (half the time, based on what we’ve seen, etc)

Sometimes, ppl will c it as a mmbr fnlly resting, sometimes it’s sudden n @ least in the mmnt (or mayb ull never kno), ther dsnt seem 2 b a strong rsn on y it hopnd

Som will c it as death, som will say it’s scary, n som accept it’s a part of being a sys,,, that this happens, n that it will b ok

I’m just shouting into the void here and this is going to be a long emo post srry but I just need to let off some post valentine day steam but I dated this girl (you guys don’t know her so no real point giving you more information than that) a while back and we’ve always been on/off and I called her last October and we started talking about my friends and she told me that she didn’t know them so she ‘didn’t care about them’ and ‘didn’t want to talk about them’ and then a little after she hung up on me.

So I asked her to apologize because it was hurtful, and she recognized that the friend comment was offensive (not the hanging up though? Cool, noted) but didn’t want to apologize still which....is wild. Saying ‘this was hurtful’ as oppose to ‘I’m sorry for hurting you’ is removing yourself from the situation. Idk if any of you guys get what I mean when I say this, but it’s just an objective statement, it’s very matter of factly. It’s almost like you’re on the outside looking at your own actions? Whereas ‘I’m sorry for doing xyz thing’ is taking ‘direct’ accountability.

So anyway I tell her all this and she tells me I’m overthinking things (whatever) and also I tell her that whenever I hurt her I write her paragraph long apologies (not an exaggeration that the craziest part not only that I’m always the one who apologizes first even when it’s not always me who should, and not that I need her validation but she recognizes this too y’all) so anywaaaay she sends me this very disappointing text after I tell her about my habit of apologising first and the attempts I make to really listen to her blah blah and said disappointing text literally says ‘noone forces you to make those long apologies’. Again, wild.

So anyway I just stop talking to her after and she thinks sending me a nice new years message is enough to make amends when, ya, not an apology homie. So I just went MIA to live my own life focus on uni and see how our relationship would develop if I made no attempts whatsoever to reach out to her like I usually do whenever we fight, and turns out there was no relationship at all. Which is v sad. She’s lame but I feel like fronting and pretending to not have feelings is toxic. So yeah I’m sad, but it is what it is.

So yesterday I tell her I don’t want to ever talk to her again because for once in our long long on/off relationship I decided to not apologize first just let her be the bigger person. And that said, actually before going MIA I messaged her 2-3 times to still try to talk things out. I went abooove and beyond. So yeah I basically tell her that from today fourth i don’t want her in my life, and I’m very sad but very proud at the same time of myself. And like thinking abt it now I’m realizing that the reason I wanted to be the ‘nice guy’ w her for so long was because she had a lot of dumbass exes (again objective truth she recognizes) who always did her dirty so I decided to be the nice guy and go above and beyond and just make amends on their behalf and now I’m realizing it’s just not my business. I get emotional baggage and accommodating that to a certain extent (I’m not an idiot I have a degree of emotional intelligence) but at the end of the day I shouldn’t pressure myself to be irrationally nice when at the end of the day her emotional baggage relates to her exes not me. I shouldn’t carry that weight and pressure on my shoulders. Anyway just to say I’m proud of myself rn for finally taking charge of things and for finally having the balls to cut toxic ppl off. And on Valentine’s Day of all days (not intentional, but still kinda cool).

Hidden Klance moments pt.1

So, we all are disappointed for the lack of promised content in this new season. They promised us LGBT representation, ‘project kuron’ explanation, diplomat hunk, team bonding, Lance falling in love ecc and we got almost nothing. I honestly enjoyed the season anyway, partly because i know i can’t expect so much in six 25-minutes-long episodes from a family show, mostly because I loved Pidge’s arch, Matt is finally found, Lotor is such a complex and enjoyable character, Lance and Allura interaction at the very end .... I can go on, I swear. 

But let’s talk about Keith and Lance. Since i love my boy Lance so much, I observed him really closely, and since I’m a complete slut for Klance because pf the relationship development between him and Keith in season 3, I decided to look for some hint that could possibly lead us to think that there is really something going on between the two (even if it’s just friendship). 

It’ actually longer than I espected so I’m going to hide the following part!

We know that the two didn’t get a real interaction, but I am sure that the authors didn’t really forget about them.  Maybe this is just wishful thinking, but the information disclosed about them at the panel, really are a game changer.  So there must be something going on somewhere. 

Let’s start with Lance:

I don’t know about you but during the first and the third episode (which are the only one where he interacts directely or indirectely with Keith) he seemed to be very depressed. He was often portraied with two little bag under his eyes.

Like this. All those occation, I noticed, involved Keith. At the beginning, I thought it was just to make him look angrier, in fact he is talking about his absence during the parade (srry I couldn’t find a subbed version bcs Netflix doesn,’t broadcast Voltron in my country).  But the bags never appeared on noone else. 

Look at this photo of Pidge. The expression is the same, but she doesn’t look so tired. She is angry at Keith as well, she is litterally saying: “Keith is gone!”, althought we can’t read concern on her face. 

I’m positive we can say that Lance is both mad and concerned for Keith. Of course he is mad because he recognize Keith as their new leader so it hurts seeing him neglecting his former team, Voltron. But he is also concerned about Keith because he knows how much he is suffering and struggling to be the leader. The mixture of these two emotions is making Lance pretty sad.  

This screenshot really hurts.  I’m sure noone in the team really blames Keith for his behaviour (not even Allura, who is always the most reluctant about him because of his heritage), but Lance is the only one that seem to be trying and undertand him. So why didn’t we get a real explicit prove of this fact? During the last season Lance really tried to talk with Keith and show him how worthy to be the leader he was. But now that Shiro appeared again, Keith is too fragile and unsecure, and Lance knows that whatever he says or demontrates to Keith would be useless. We also know that he is not so full of self esteem, and I am sure that he think that he can’t stand a chance to Shiro, when it comes to Keith. That’s why he can’t try and fisically stop Keith from taking bad decision, or can’t lecture him like Shiro or Allura do.

I think this is the frame that proves my point the best. This was the point in the episode when everything turns out right: Keith is forgiven by his team and they allow him to take part of that long mission with the bom, now that shiro is finally able to fly the black lion again.  Let’s focus on the team’s different reactions:

Hunk/Coran/Pidge: for the sake of comedy they are ugly crying. They care about Keith and obviously don’t want him to part, but their character never shared something different or more special with Keith if not companionship. That’s why their reaction is the most obvious and uniportant ( speaking of this matter).

Allura: she looks genuinely pleased with Keith decision, and I know she is. she also speaks of how proud is of Keith ( space mum confirmed). I honestly think in this season the relatinship between them hits a turning point. Matter of fact she is the only one that tries to lecture Keith, in a positive way (not to scold him like shiro seems to do). 

Shiro: I don’t know about you but he seems the happiest about the decision. That startled me bacause I honestly thought that he would have been the hardest to convince. I don’t think is coincidence that he agrees to Keith parting just right after he can fly the black lion. I think I will analyse deeper about his character in another post because there is something about him I can’t really put my finger on. 

Lance: Lance, my boy, light of my days.... why do you look like a kicked puppy trying to deny the fact that he is in pain??? 

You’re not fooling anyone trying to lighten the mood.... “who am I gonna make fun of?”.... I can see the bag under your eyes, AGAIN. I don’t think he wants Keith to join that mission. I think he partly feel guilty because he had stolen red from Keith.  He is not just going to miss Keith like everyone else .He can feel Keith hidden sadness and concern, and that’s how author decided to show this fact. They BONDED, of course they share feelings!! I can’t use photoshop but I am sure that if I could erase those bags, he would have totally looked 100% happier. Those signs had been porpusely drawn. 

That’s all for episode one. Let’s talk about episode 3. 

I know there is not a proper direct or indirect interaction, but my delusional ass wanted to read in Lance’s behaviour something more. 

This is the episode of the iconic “milking moment” (can it be considered as a pun ??? how funny of me,,,). I noticed something was off with Lance. He literally locked himself in a dark room playing a video game he didn’t really wanted to buy this much (it was Pidge who insisted to find the money in the fontain in order to afford the game). 

I am not a gamer, but I don’t think it’s healty to bury yourself in a dark room, sit on a unconfortable metal floor and play until you hate yourself. Perhaps is super normal, but it’s defenitely not Lance. We know how much this boy likes to spoil himself. But we also know how much he can be self-destructive (not literally! I’m not talking about the suicidal/self-armer fanon Lance), in an “emotional” way. Let’s be honest, I think of himself like a seven wheel and struggle to find a place in the team. Actually it’s seems normal for someone like him to engage unhalty activity.I know this analisy seems kinda rushed, but what’s coming it’s suspicious as well: 

Coran and Allura asked him for help to get the milkshake. ALLURA asked him something. ALLURA, HIS CRUSH, CONSIDERED HIM THE RIGHT PERSON FOR A JOB. Let’s be real here. He would have been head over heels for something like that. At least he would have tried to flirt with her. We both know he never loose a chance to brag about himself. Normal Lance would have positively pulled off some pick up line like: “Everything for you, my princess. You know what they say about me? that my milkshake brings all the girl to the the yard.” That would have been gold (expecially altean reaction). BUT NO. Lance seems quite annoyed by the request honestely. And we know what that means. He is still not over the fact that Keith left. 

I’m sure that’s enough material for one post. I’m not really used to analyse character, and i know that we can’t pretend to be right about our judgement. But if this can help to reconsider some aspects of fourth season, that would be awsome!

I’m going to analyse Keith second, god bless, that he had 1 min and a half screentime so it won’t be an hard job lol

- I’m so relieved Pidge and Matt FINALLY found their dad...it was so touching when they reunited.

- I freaking love everyone so much. I freaking LOVE Pidge. Freaking Matt. I love LANCE SO FUCKING mUcH you DON’T UNDERSTAND. Hunk is adorable and pure as always. Keef?????? My beautiful emo gay son. I love him. Shiro?? Well he’s a fake bich but we’ll get to that

- Speaking of Keith. As I feared, there wasn’t much of him. But we found out who his mom is. I freaking CALLED it. The second I saw her I was like hey, she kinda looks like Keith with the hair. I have a feeling they’re gonna be related, either a sister or his mom. And guess what the DIDDLY WACK happened.

- I so desperately want these few things. These are all I ask:

- Pidge and Matt finding their dad. (Check.)

- Finding out how Keith and Shiro are connected cuz come on. There’s something going on there. Brothers??? Who knows. (Not check. Didn’t find out about that). ADDRESSING THE FACT SHIRO IS PROBLY A CLONE (freaking CHECK BITCH!! kind of. it’ll be continued in the next season).

- Lotor interacting face-to-face with everyone, especially Keith (bc I wanna see them connect over being part galra), and Lance (cuz I wanna see Lance pick a fight with him and have Lotor just be amused and tease him). (Kind of.....check....ish. Lotor didn’t interact with Keith at all. :( He interacted with Lance a bit but not to the extent I wanted. And I feel like everyone’s so serious. I wanted to see more sides to Lotor.)

- And lastly, I wanted more moments between Lance and Keith.....and most of all I wanted Keith back in team Voltron. But no. This is such a freaking Lance/Keith drought y’all idk if I can take much more of it.

- Ok that’s the end of the list ^ lemme talk about Lotor and Allura now.

- I don’t rly want to ship them.......but their dynamic is one of my greatest weaknesses. Time and time again I fall for this freaking kind of ship where there’s a bad boy and good girl and enemies to lovers and all that shit. So this is kinda killing me rn lmao. Like I don’t /want/ to ship it......but I kinda do....against my will?? I hate to admit it cuz they genuinely have good chemistry........sigh. The reason I’m so conflicted is cuz for one, I headcanon Lotor as gay...but I can also see him as being pan, so I guess that’s not the real reason. Another thing is I always wanted to see Lotor flirt with Lance cuz I’m secretly Lancelot trash lmao. Also I kinda like the idea of him and Keith...altho ofc I’m a K//l///ance shipper at heart (putting dashes cuz I don’t want this post in the tag).

- Anyway, I really wish there were more of Keith, I miss him so much. It’s killing me. But I’m satisfied with how much Lotor we got, cuz I freaking love that purple bich. I really enjoyed seeing him get along with everyone and I know he’ll probly betray them at some point.........but either way I love him so much. We got to know him better as a character, which I’m excited about. He’s one of my top faves at this point. Do I stan????????????

i feel kinda bad that my rlly negative post from the other day is gaining notes kjfhgd but i guess im not alone in that sentiment at least... tho actually, literally everyone ive talked to felt that was cheap writing.. so hopefully if there’s so many complaints, anet might learn otherwise idk???? i know they listen to the forums at least

story/LS analysis ramble under the cut

i mean ok... there are def a few things from this patch that i liked.. aside from the Hell Fight the final instance was well designed i feel like, but i liked all the mechanics more than the story itself.. mostly that it was really fun running around opening all the doors!! i can tell that anet actually put some heart into all the easter eggs there

a lot of the non-story stuff is really nice actually.. the heart rewards in lake doric are really fun + worth actually doing the heart which says something.. i think the map meta cycles are pretty fun too, tho there’s not many tangible awards for them so i’m a bit concerned about their longevity (we’re not even 10 days out and even during prime time hours i see a lot of events going around uncompleted or nearly failing, oops..)

honestly i think the only big issue here is that it seems there’s a very vocal writer at anet who likely feels that the rising action or climax of a story must be some kind of tragic, heavy hitting emotional thing and its like... no!!! no!!!!!!

especially in a much grander story like this with a bunch of tiny parceled out story arcs, the arc you’re pushing out doesn’t have to be Tragic at it’s core.. the most exciting thing happening doesn’t have to be Sad.. it can be Interesting or it can even be Happy, like, people respond perfectly well to happy things occurring too mfdgkdhj (i have seen more people get enjoyment out of canach and anise’s banter than ive seen anyone genuinely disraught in a non-”that was cheap anet” way over any recent character death  t b q h)

i think some of the best writing i can remember was back during the scarlet arc honestly.. i may be biased because i love scarlet but like, ok, while anets writing sometimes got Weird back then, it was Interesting. we got to learn a lot of new lore and there were constantly mysterious new leads to things... sure it got kinda wild and scarlet was kinda controversial bc she was a “””””mary sue””””” but honestly wouldnt yall rather have interesting albeit sometimes kinda weird to... vaguely interesting and predictable?? idk, i would

srry this ended up spiraling off into another negative post but idk, i do love guild wars 2 and i do love so much of the lore and thats why i want things to change and be interesting again????? ive seen their potential and i know they’re not living up to it rn..
