First Lieutenant Jason Kolchek (cir. 1973) is one of the five main protagonists and a playable character in The Dark Pictures Anthology's third installment, House of Ashes. He is a United States Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance First Lieutenant and the squad leader of Mailman 2-1. Jason is a white American man. He has a white complexion with smooth skin, brown eyes and short brown hair.

For personal items, Jason wears a Blue T-shirt, a gray-green  shemagh, black watch on left wrist, and a gray baseball cap with  "Remember 9/11" marking. He has two tattoos on his arms: one on left  forearm, other - on right upper arm

This outfit set is created from Lt. Salim Ohman's character from the  "House of Ashes" game series, which is a young Iraqi officer. But this outfit set quite resemble on what Iraqi troops wore during the Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom campaign.

Actually since 1980s, Iraqi forces haven't clear pattern of uniform, in other words, Iraqi forces utilised anything they could wear to their troops, even some source show the usage of DPM camo set within the Army mixed by the SSh-68 helmet or what we show here. The outfit itself might be an influence from the old British army's field dress, as well as in other Arab states at that time.

I personally fond of the weapons design in this game. but sadly I disapprove of the anachronism featured in the accessories selection. Starting with the Magpul products, Magpul Industries was established in 1999, resulting in its existence by the time of the Iraq War. The products depicted in the game were not accurate. Firstly, the MOE (Magpul Original Equipment) product lines were not officially released until 2008, which makes the stock on the M4A1 anachronistic. The pistol grip is not an original A2 type pistol grip since it does not have a finger hump, and there is an extension to the receiver. The handgrip could be a MOE handgrip, but it could also be the Magpul MIAD (Mission Adaptable) handgrip with adjustable back and front straps. The MIAD was released earlier than the MOE, but it was released in 2004, a year after the game's setting. The Marines used Magpul EMAGS (export mags) that had flat sides and a witness window for ammunition. These magazines were not released until 2009. The old steel or aluminum STANAGS would be accurate. While the M4A1 was correctly portrayed with a quad-railed handguard, the type of handguard used for military-issued carbines was incorrect. The rail that should be used is the Knight's Armament Company M4 RAS Forend. The rail system in the game seemed to be heavily influenced by the UTG two-piece handguard and the Surefire M82 handguard. While according to three veterans I talked to about military issued small arms (two Army and one Navy) it is possible to set up your rifle with what you want so having the UTG handguard is not impossible, but it begs the question of why these Marines would go out of their way to pay for the lesser quality of the UTG instead of using the standard issued Knight’s system. UTG was most likely what developers had access to for a reference.

While Glocks did exist by 2003, but the Glock shown in the game would be 15 years too early because the game used the Generation 5 model of Glocks and Glock’s Gen 5 came out in 2018. The Gen 5 is characterized with the beveled front of the slide and frame, hole in the middle of the guide rod, front slide serrations (although the real Gen 5s’ serrations are straight, not slanted), no finger grooves on the the bottom of the frame (where the flashlight is attached in the game), an ambidextrous slide release, and only one trigger pin.

I made another fix to make it Fit into Game Settings and replaced it with Gen 3 Glocks. as This Particular Generation was Introduced in 1998. The Gen 3 has finger grooves, no front slide serrations, no ambidextrous slide release, no beveled front slide nor beveled frame, a rail on the bottom of the frame and two trigger pins. Attaching an aftermarket flashlight is possible with a rail on the bottom.

Napaisip ka ba kung sino-sino ang mga nagtatrabaho upang makarating sa’yo ang artikulo o litratong nasa harapan mo? O kung sino ang kumukuha ng mga opisyal na litrato ng mga ganap sa paaralan na pang-clout chase mo? O ‘di kaya ang mga handog ng Media Center (MC) na malikhaing akda at events feature na dumadaan sa feed? Kilalanin si Mira Leaño. Miyembro siya ng Media Center Batch 2025, bilang managing editor. Ayon kay Mira, “It’s a demanding job. Maraming kailangan i-balance, like compiling and posting content. I couldn’t say anything but cry as well. I didn’t want this to happen. I never wanted to hurt my father!

I remained standing and accepted her slaps and cursing. If I tried to answer her, she would just hit me more.

“Stop it, Mom. I don’t want you to be hurt too!” My stepsister, Clementine, stopped her. She held her hands and guided her to sit on the waiting chair.

“I can’t lose your daddy, Clementine! I can’t!”

“Ssh… Dad will be okay, Mom. Just be strong, okay? I don’t want you to be hospitalized too. So, please calm yourself.”

“How? How can I calm down when my husband is dying? Because of this bitch, my husband is dying!”

She pointed her finger at me again, as if I were the most disgusting person on earth. I bit my lips and looked down again. I never wanted to hurt anyone. If only I knew that this would happen, I wouldn’t have run away. But my stepmother wanted me to marry some old man, and I just can’t! I’m still studying in college and have dreams I want to achieve. I can’t let my life be tied to a person I don’t even know.

But because of my harsh decision, my father ended up on the surgery bed, fighting for his life.

“It should’ve been you instead of my husband!”

I felt my heart break into pieces again. Hot tears streamed down my cheeks. I would pray for it to be like that. My father was my only real family after my mother died in childbirth. I didn’t even get to meet her. It was my stepmother who always became my mother figure. But I don’t really feel she treated me as her daughter. Would a mother want her daughter to marry a complete stranger?

“I-I didn’t mean it, Mother,” I said in my trembling voice.

“Will you just shut up, Beatrice?! Do you want Mother to be in surgery too?” Clementine said.

I sniffed and didn’t say anything. If only I could turn back time, I wouldn’t have let Dad pick me up. Or I wouldn’t have run away. I would have agreed to marry that man just to make sure that my father would be safe. He didn’t agree with the marriage, but because our business was already in a bad situation, he didn’t have any choice. I understand him. I just can’t accept the fact that I had to marry someone just to save everything. Why me? Why not Clementine?

After a few hours, a doctor came out of the surgery room. My stepmother immediately went to the doctor and faced him.

“Doctor! How’s my husband? Is he okay now? Can I see him now?” she asked worriedly.

“He’s stable for now.”

“For now? What do you mean ‘for now’?”

“We managed to stop some bleeding inside him, but he still needs brain surgery. Sadly, we cannot provide the best surgery for him.”

My stepmother cried again in despair. “What?! But I thought he was okay now!”

The doctor shook his head. “For now, Mrs. Litcher. But if Mr. Litcher doesn’t receive surgery until tomorrow, it could kill him. I’m really sorry.”

“Oh, God! What should I do?!”

“The Bruce Medical Center in the city. I know they can help your husband.”

I touched my mouth when he mentioned the hospital. Bruce Medical Center was the most prominent hospital in the country. They had the best medical center in the world, from the doctors to the machines they used. BMC was like a miracle hospital for everyone. But it was also the most expensive hospital.

“If you are ready, we will prepare Mr. Litcher for his transport.”

“H-How… How can we afford the BMC now? We can’t afford it!” Veronica exclaimed. Then she slowly looked at me. “You! This is your fault! Now how can we get surgery for your father?! He will die because of you!” She went in front of me and slapped me again.

I felt the hard pinch on my face, and my vision slightly blurred. I couldn’t think anymore. Would marrying that stranger really save us? If I said yes, would my father be saved?

“If you don’t have any help to give us now, Beatrice, just go home or go away! Don’t you ever let us see your face!” Clementine said.

“I-I want to see my father, M-Mom—”

“Did you really think I will let you see him? He is dying because of you! Unless you do what we want you to do, don’t ever show your face here again!” Veronica said. She looked at the doctor again and talked with him.

Tears fell down my cheeks once again. I turned around and slowly walked away. There was nothing I could do there. Now my father would die because of me. If only I knew that this would happen, I wouldn’t have entered the car with him. I would have begged him to stay in my friend’s apartment to talk about how we could save our business. Now, everything I love would be gone.

My family owned the biggest resort in the city. We owned an island that only prominent personalities or families could enter. My father said that he started it with Mom. Our resort became known because of her. But because of my stepmother and sister’s luxurious life, everything went downhill. And now they wanted me to pay for what they did. I didn’t even know the man my stepmother was talking about. I just knew him by his surname, Bruce. Everyone knew that the Bruce family was the wealthiest family in our country.

“What should we do now, Mom?” Clementine asked.

“I-I don’t know, Clementine. I might need to sell the resort now.”

I stopped walking and looked back at them. “Y-You can’t sell the resort, Mother!”

Veronica looked at me with her sharp eyes. “And then what? Let your father die?!”

“But Dad wouldn’t like it either! The resort is the only memory left of my mother!”

“Oh, shut it, Beatrice!” Clementine stood up and slapped me. “I said you go now!”

“If you had only agreed to Mr. Bruce’s proposal, then this wouldn’t have happened, Beatrice! It’s your fault that the resort will be gone too!” Mom added.

I clenched my fists. I can’t let her sell our resort! My dad was already dying, and losing the only memory of my parents would kill me. I sucked in a deep breath and stared at my stepmother.

“F-Fine… I will accept it. Just don’t sell the resort and save my father!”

The role of machine learning in enhancing cloud-native container security - AI News

The advent of more powerful processors in the early 2000’s shipping with support in hardware for virtualisation started the computing revolution that led, in time, to what we now call the cloud. With single hardware instances able to run dozens, if not hundreds of virtual machines concurrently, businesses could offer their users multiple services and applications that would otherwise have been financially impractical, if not impossible.

But virtual machines (VMs) have several downsides. Often, an entire virtualised operating system is overkill for many applications, and although very much more malleable, scalable, and agile than a fleet of bare-metal servers, VMs still require significantly more memory and processing power, and are less agile than the next evolution of this type of technology – containers. In addition to being more easily scaled (up or down, according to demand), containerised applications consist of only the necessary parts of an application and its supporting dependencies. Therefore apps based on micro-services tend to be lighter and more easily configurable.

Virtual machines exhibit the same security issues that affect their bare-metal counterparts, and to some extent, container security issues reflect those of their component parts: a mySQL bug in a specific version of the upstream application will affect containerised versions too. With regards to VMs, bare metal installs, and containers, cybersecurity concerns and activities are very similar. But container deployments and their tooling bring specific security challenges to those charged with running apps and services, whether manually piecing together applications with choice containers, or running in production with orchestration at scale.

Container-specific security risks

Misconfiguration: Complex applications are made up of multiple containers, and misconfiguration – often only a single line in a .yaml file, can grant unnecessary privileges and increase the attack surface. For example, although it’s not trivial for an attacker to gain root access to the host machine from a container, it’s still a too-common practice to run Docker as root, with no user namespace remapping, for example.

Vulnerable container images: In 2022, Sysdig found over 1,600 images identified as malicious in Docker Hub, in addition to many containers stored in the repo with hard-coded cloud credentials, ssh keys, and NPM tokens. The process of pulling images from public registries is opaque, and the convenience of container deployment (plus pressure on developers to produce results, fast) can mean that apps can easily be constructed with inherently insecure, or even malicious components.

Orchestration layers: For larger projects, orchestration tools such as Kubernetes can increase the attack surface, usually due to misconfiguration and high levels of complexity. A 2022 survey from D2iQ found that only 42% of applications running on Kubernetes made it into production – down in part to the difficulty of administering large clusters and a steep learning curve.

According to Ari Weil at Akamai, “Kubernetes is mature, but most companies and developers don’t realise how complex […] it can be until they’re actually at scale.”

Container security with machine learning

The specific challenges of container security can be addressed using machine learning algorithms trained on observing the components of an application when it’s ‘running clean.’ By creating a baseline of normal behaviour, machine learning can identify anomalies that could indicate potential threats from unusual traffic, unauthorised changes to configuration, odd user access patterns, and unexpected system calls.

ML-based container security platforms can scan image repositories and compare each against databases of known vulnerabilities and issues. Scans can be automatically triggered and scheduled, helping prevent the addition of harmful elements during development and in production. Auto-generated audit reports can be tracked against standard benchmarks, or an organisation can set its own security standards – useful in environments where highly-sensitive data is processed.

The connectivity between specialist container security functions and orchestration software means that suspected containers can be isolated or closed immediately, insecure permissions revoked, and user access suspended. With API connections to local firewalls and VPN endpoints, entire environments or subnets can be isolated, or traffic stopped at network borders.

Final word

Machine learning can reduce the risk of data breach in containerised environments by working on several levels. Anomaly detection, asset scanning, and flagging potential misconfiguration are all possible, plus any degree of automated alerting or amelioration are relatively simple to enact.

The transformative possibilities of container-based apps can be approached without the security issues that have stopped some from exploring, developing, and running microservice-based applications. The advantages of cloud-native technologies can be won without compromising existing security standards, even in high-risk sectors.

Sementara itu, IU dan Jong Suk diketahui sudah saling kenal sejak tahun 2012 lalu. Saat itu keduanya dipertemukan dalam acara musik SBS Inkigayo sebagai host. Sejak saat itu, mereka mulai bersahabat 10 tahun lamanya. Hingga akhirnya, pada akhir tahun 2022 lalu, Dispatch mengabarkan jika Jong Suk dan IU resmi berpacaran.

4月も後半に差し掛かり、だいぶ暖かくなってきた今日この頃。

今回は2022年に発売を開始した " Shaker & Blowzer " に、新仕様が加わったのでご紹介をします！

先ずは Shaker からいきます。

(インプレ) 個人的に、音・ルックス共にこの仕様が一番グッときてます！メイプル指板によるブライト＆シャープな音の立ち上がり、F-90の太さとレンジ感が絶妙にマッチしており、突き抜ける爽快感がありますね。リアのTE Vintage Fatも結構太くてプッシュ感のあるサウンドですので、フロント/リアの切り替え時にも違和感や使いにくさを感じません！これならフロントでバッキング、リアでソロ、といった感じでもバッチリ使えると思います。TEフリークの方にもっとも受け入れられやすいのではないでしょうか。

③ F-90 / Hybrid Humbucker TypeⅠ ・Model：C.S. Shaker ・Body：L.W. Ash 2pc ・Fingerboard：Rosewood ・Color：2 Tone Sunburst ・Finish：Poly

(インプレ) 何気にグッドバランスで定評のあるこのレイアウト！リアのHybrid HBは、トーンポットをプッシュアップすることでシングルにコイルタップできますので、上記②のような使い方もできます。タップ時のサウンドはTE VintageやVintage Fatとはまた一味違ったシングルコイルサウンドですが、音に芯のあるリアルなシングルコイルサウンドであることに違いありません。ハードに歪ませたドライヴサウンドでのリフ～ピッキングニュアンスを効かせつつも太くサスティーンの良いリードトーンまでこなせます。良い意味でどこかビザールチックなルックスしてますが、中身はけっこう器用なヤツです。

④ TE-Neck / Hybrid Humbucker TypeⅠ ・Model：C.S. Shaker ・Body：L.W. Ash 2pc ・Fingerboard：Rosewood ・Color：White Blonde 2 ・Finish：Poly

(インプレ) 一瞬「おや？何か間違えてない？」と思いましたが、これで正解でした。SSHとか上記②③のパターンはしばしば見かけますが、フロントがヴィンテージスタイルのTEシングル(弊社オリジナルTE Neck)で、リアがハムという珍しいパターン！でもこれがまた意外と使えました。ヴィンテージスタイルのカバードタイプのTEフロントシングルはけっこう扱いが難しい一面もありますが、どちらもカバードタイプということで、ややマイルドになった高域の感じが逆にバランスが良く、同じセッティング（アンプやエフェクター等）でフロント＆リアをコンビネーションで使う・切り替える際に、どちらかが抜けが悪く感じる、といったことにはなりにくいですね。むしろこのレイアウトにしたことで、このシングルコイルならではのサウンドを楽しめるようになっている気がします！（もちろん、リアのHybrid HBはトーンポットをプッシュアップでコイルタップできます）

(インプレ) 2ピックアップ仕様のベースは世に数多ありますが、プレシジョンベース用ピックアップを２基搭載したものに関しましては、過去にも稀に見られたものの、非常にレアな物の様なイメージかと思います。

しかしながら実はこのレイアウトのトーンバランスは非常に秀逸で、僕自身もこの仕様のP-Bassを愛用していたこともあり、ライン乗りの良さを含めた音作りのし易さは経験済みでしたので、この仕様を【 Blowzer 】に投入し、F.C.G.R.流にセットアップいたしました。

完成したプロトモデルをチェックしたところ...

・ネック側１基のみの場合は、もちろん所謂P-Bassサウンド。

・ネック＆ブリッジ双方を使用する場合は、中低域の押し出しが強いながらも、アレンジにはまり易い「太いJBサウンド」。

・そしてブリッジ側1基のみの場合は、素早い音の立ち上がりが病みつきになる、太さと鋭さが同居したサウンド。

...「いいね！」の一言でした。

特にP-Bassを愛してやまないベーシストは、あのサウンドに拘りがありつつも実際のアンサンブルの中で、時には少しだけJBの様に2ピックアップのニュアンスが欲しくなることも在ります。

そんな時にはこの1本！と自信をもっておススメできる仕上がりとなりました。

Bouckaert Equestrian H. T. &amp, International, Watching the First CCI4*-S of the 2024 Winter

The big 4* season is upon us here in the U.S., and the action kicks off for the top horses and riders this weekend at Bouckaert Equestrian, formerly known as Chattahoochee Hills in Georgia. A total of 34 horses and riders are entered in the headlining 4*-S division this weekend, along with a slew of riders from divisions ranging from 2* up on the FEI side and from Novice up on the National side.

These early season 4* events provide a preview of the horses aiming for spring 4*-L or 5* events, and this year in particular we’re keeping a keen eye on these prep events as many riders will be vying for a berth to the upcoming Paris Olympics. There’s also a healthy prize fund on offer this weekend, with $12,000 up for grabs in the 4* division. While we won’t typically see all combinations putting the pedal down in the jumping phases this early in the season, we’re nonetheless in for a top competition.

Gillian Warner will be reporting on Bouckaert Farm’s 4* this weekend with a comprehensive final report coming your way after the conclusion of the event. You can also follow along with live scoring here; competition begins tomorrow (Friday) and will conclude on Saturday for the 4* pairs.

Highlighting this weekend’s entry list are several Canadian riders, all putting their best foot forward to catch the eye of the Canadian selectors after our neighbors to the north cemented their team qualification for Paris at the Pan American Games last fall. We’ll see riders such as Hanna Bundy with Lovely Assistant, Katie Malensek with Landjaeger, Colleen Loach with FE Golden Eye and Vermont, and Lisa Marie Fergusson and Honor Me competing in the 4*-S.

Other key names to watch include Phillip Dutton, who brings forward Azure, Denim, and newer ride Jewelent — and he’s also riding alongside his daughter, Olivia, who’s just started her Advanced and 4* career with former 5* horse Sea of Clouds.

Mia Farley, who stole all our hearts with her gutsy performance at her first 5* last fall at Maryland, will return to action with the off-track Thoroughbred Phelps. Hannah Sue Hollberg is also entered with Capitol HIM; this pair was the top-placed U.S. combination at the Maryland 5 Star last year and will look to build on that result this spring.

We’ll also see the return of Lady Chatterley, who had a quiet 2023 after winning USEA Mare of the Year in 2022. She’ll return to the level with Olympic gold medalist Leslie Law in the irons, coming off a romp around the Rocking Horse Advanced last month to kick off her season.

Other ones to watch who could be good for the lion’s share of the prize fund include Caroline Pamukcu with King’s Especiale, Alyssa Phillips and Oskar, and Julie Wolfert and SSH Playboy.

Introducing Apple Silicon M2 Pro Mac Mini

New Apple Silicon M2 Pro Mac Mini Computer Amazon EC2 M2 Pro Mac Instances

When building and testing Apple apps, these instances perform 35% quicker than M1 Mac instances.

The AWS Nitro System uniquely enables Apple M2 Pro Mac Mini computers with 12 core CPU, 19 core GPU, 32 GiB of memory, and 16 core Apple Neural Engine to function as fully integrated and managed compute instances with up to 10 Gbps of Amazon VPC network bandwidth and 8 Gbps of Amazon EBS storage bandwidth. AMIs for EC2 M2 Pro Mac instances support macOS Ventura 13.2 or later.

Story of EC2 Mac Instances

In 2020, Jeff Barr stunned consumers by introducing Amazon EC2 Mac Instances, which allowed them to build, test, package, and sign Xcode developed apps for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and watch OS.

In his keynote at AWS re:Invent 2020, Peter DeSantis revealed how to build EC2 Mac instances powered by the AWS Nitro System, which allows Apple Mac mini computers to be fully integrated and managed with Amazon VPC networking and Amazon EBS storage like other EC2 instances.

We didn’t need to modify Mac hardware. We used Thunderbolt to connect a Nitro controller to the Mac. Launching a Mac instance runs your Mac compatible Amazon Machine Image (AMI) on the Mac Mini without a hypervisor. The Nitro controller configures the instance and secures network and storage access. The Mac Mini can now use any AWS service natively.”

Amazon EC2 M1 Mac Instances using the Apple designed M1 System on Chip debuted in July 2022. Developers designing iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV apps can choose x86 or Arm based EC2 Mac or M1 instances.

To re architect your apps to natively support Macs with Apple Silicon, use EC2 M1 instances to build and test your apps to give up to 60% better price performance than EC2 Mac instances for iPhone and Mac app construction workloads with all the benefits of AWS.

Many users use EC2 Mac instances to establish an end to end macOS pipeline on AWS. EC2 Mac instances let them scale their iOS build fleet, use custom macOS environments with AMIs, and debug build or test failures using fully reproducible macOS environments.

Customers have reported up to 4x build time reduction, 3x parallel build increase, 80% reduction in machine-related build failures, and 50% fleet size reduction. They may focus on product and feature innovation while reducing the hassle of managing on-premises macOS infrastructure.

To accelerate this innovation, EC2 Mac instances now support replacing root volumes on running instances, allowing you to restore the instance’s root volume to its launch state or a snapshot without stopping or terminating the instance.

EC2 M1 Mac instances registered with the Apple Developer Programme can receive in-place OS updates from the guest environment to the latest macOS version, even the beta version. Developers can now add new macOS features and test apps for compatibility before public releases.

Starting EC2 M2 Pro Instances

EC2 M2 Pro Mac instances offer Dedicated Host tenancy with a 24 hour host allocation length to comply with macOS licencing, like regular EC2 Mac instances.

In your AWS account, assign a Mac dedicated host, a real server for your use. You can launch, stop, and relaunch one macOS instance on a dedicated host after allocating it.

You can start an EC2 Mac instance on the allotted host. This is the same as launching any EC2 instance type. Select the mac m2 pro.metal instance type in Application and OS Images for your macOS AMI version.

Select Dedicated host in Tenancy and a newly built dedicated host in Tenancy host ID in Advanced information.

For your initial EC2 Mac instance, you can use SSH or Apple Remote Desktop to start a VNC session. Sebastien’s Mac instance startup and connection articles explain more.

You can stop your Mac instance and release the host when you no longer require it. Apple’s macOS licencing requires that Mac dedicated hosts be relinquished after 24 hours.

Tiga Media Kuras Anggaran, Dinas Kominfo Tulang Bawang Tuai Kecaman

Tiga media Nasional terbitan Jakarta, disebut-sebut kuras anggaran belanja media di Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Diskominfo) Kabupaten Tulang Bawang sebesar Rp.646.000,000 pada Tahun Anggaran 2023. Kendati demikian Dinas Kominfo mengaku anggaran tengah mengalami defisit. Belanja publikasi kepada 3 media tersebut memicu kontroversi dikalangan awak media di Kabupaten Tulang Bawang. Terlebih lagi, ketiga media dimaksud diketahui tidak memiliki Biro atau kantor Perwakilan di Kabupaten Sai Bumi Nengah Nyappur. Sementara persyaratan media yang bisa daftar di E-Catalog lokal Tuba, Pimpinan Media (Direktur) harus hadir di (Dinas BPBJ), karena pihak terkait ingin tahu siapa pemilik perusahaan tersebut. Hal ini tak pelak mengundang miskomunikasi antara media lokal di Tuba dan Pemerintah Kabupaten Tulang Bawang. Adapun tiga nama media yang berkantor pusat di Jakarta yang diduga menguras Anggaran Belanja Media di Dinas Kominfo Tuba Tahun 2023 sebesar Rp.646,000.000 dari total Rp.1,6 milyaran APBD murni Tahun 2023 yaitu Media TP, Media SD, Media DT. Polemik ini membuat para Ketua organisasi Pers di Kabupaten Tulang Bawang mendatangi Kantor PJ Bupati Tulang Bawang. Kedatangan para Ketua organisasi Pers serta anggota, pada Senin (11/09/2023), Pj. Bupati Tulang Bawang Enggan menemui semua Ketua organisasi Pers tersebut. Para ketua organisasi Pers kemudian ditemui oleh Sekertaris Daerah (Sekda) Tuba Anthoni, Asisten II Pahada Hidayat, Kadis Kominfo Desi Kusumayuda, Kepala BAPPEDA, Diky Surahman, Kepala BPKAD Rustam Effendi, serta PPTK Dinas Kominfo Suwandi, Kabid media Diskominfo Hambali. Pertemuan tersebut berlangsung di ruang Rapat Sekretaris Daerah Pemkab Tulang Bawang. Disampaikan Sekretaris Daerah Pemerintah Kabupaten Tulang Bawang , Anthoni, sebenarnya dia sudah lama memerintahkan Kepala Bidang Media Diskominfo Tuba, untuk memproses pencairan anggaran media. Dia mengatakan, perlu kami jelaskan, bahwa anggaran kita saat ini sedang defisit luar biasa. Tadinya anggaran memang 6 milyar untuk APBD murni. Tapi banyak pemangkasan saat ini menjadi 1,6 M saja. “Jadi mohon maaf kami belum bisa nambah pagu anggaran belanja media tahun 2023. Kemungkinan besar mulai stabil nanti sekitar tahun 2025 mendatang, jadi saya siap pasang badanlah dalam persoalan ini, karena mau di apakan lagi,” ujarnya. Anggaran Tahun 2023 ini, lanjut Sekda, yang di kelola Pemkab Tuba sangat tergantung uang dari Pusat. Kalau hanya mengandalkan hasil Pendapatan Daerah seperti Hotel, Rumah Makan, dan Lain-lain itu tidak mungkin bisa membiayai pembangunan Kabupaten Tulang Bawang. “Setelah kita asumsikan di situ juga kita harus membayar P3K, dan 40% persen kita anggarkan untuk penyelenggaraan pemilu. Kita perkirakan uang ini nambah karena kita tidak punya Bank Indonesia daerah. Kita berharap ini bisa bertambah karena ada pembayaran yang harus kita lakukan, dan dalam proses itu nanti Pak Rustam cerita uang itu tidak bertambah,” imbuh Sekda. Lanjutnya, setelah itu muncul lagi di Bulan Desember 2022, mandatorestending sebesar Rp.150 milyar yang diatur dari duit yang ada, hal ini menjadi persoalan lagi. Sementara yang seperti ini tidak ada penugasan dari Jakarta, ini lagi di fikirkan bagaimana kedepannya. Kepala Dinas Kominfo Pemerintah Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Desi Kusumayuda menjelaskan kepada para Ketua dan Anggota organisasi Pers, yang sebenarnya terjadi di Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Diskominfo) Tulang Bawang. Dia menuturkan, pada 13 juli 2023 telah kita naikkan nota Dinas ke Pak Sekda dan turun pada 17 Juli dengan jumlah media yang sudah kita rekap melalui E-catalog sebanyak 220 media, dengan 78 media cetak, dan 128 media Online, 4 media elektronik. Saat kita mengajukan nota Dinas, kita data yang sesuai dengan (SSH) anggaran yang di mohonkan siap di cairkan sebesar Rp.1.420,9500. Disaat turun disposisi untuk koordinasi dengan BPKAD Tuba, Kabid saya, sekretaris dan PPTK sudah berkoordinasi. “Dalam kordinasi ini sudah berlangsung, pas di tengah jalan kita disuruh lagi untuk penataan lagi menjadi 1,6 milyar, bingungkan,” kata Desi. Tapi ngak apa-apa, ini masih di rekap dengan Kabid saya. Karena hal ini baru pertama kali mengunakan E-catalog, jadi kita melalui pemesanan Advetorial karena kita sesuaikan dengan kondisi keuangan kita. Sementara media yang saat ini telah mendaftar sebanyak 359 media terdiri dari media Cetak Harian, Media Mingguan, Media Online dan Media Elektronik sampai dengan 3 September 2023 ini. Jadi saya berharap kepada rekan media, bila yang diberikan nilainya kecil jangan ada tuntutan. Kalau kita kasih besar kita masalah, berhubung kita menyesuaikan anggaran kita. Terkait yang disebutkan Pak Diky 641 itu ada tiga media Nasional media (SD) media (DT) dan media (TP) jadi Tahun 2021, 2022, maaf saya bukan melemparkan persoalan kepada Kadis masih Pak Dedi Palwadi. “Karena kita terkendala anggaran 6 milyar yang kemarin ini sudah tidak bisa dibayarkan, ahirnya kita terhutang di akhir masa jabatan ibu Winarti. Itu ada media (TP) yang kita bayar Tahun 2023, karena surat dari media tersebut yang ditujukan ke Pemerintah Kabupaten Tulang Bawang sudah beberapa kali di kirimkan ke Dinas Kominfo Tuba. Jadi kami juga tidak menutupi kontrak MoU dan sebagainya ini nanti kita pesan dengan media yang bekerja sesuai dengan regulasi kita. Nanti kita melakukan order dengan media-media yang kita klik nanti di Ekatalok. “Untuk dana 646 itu kalo kurang jelas silahkan hubungi Kabid saya Pak Hambali tanya surat penagihan dari media Nasional tersebut, jadi jelaskan bahwa ini bukan rekayasa dari Kominfo,” tutupnya. Sometime between those dates I packed my computer away due to lack of space because I was stuck living with roommates

In July, 2023 I moved 1500 miles to someplace more affordable so I wouldn't have to live with roommates (I have a one bedroom now)

Also started a job at a new law firm

Only took the computer hard drive with me to save money, which means that:

Tear down Sterling to modify the file his microSD card uses to access wifi so I can

SSH into him and finally start coding again.

The only backups I have of Sterling are on that computer hard drive that's somewhere in my moving boxes lmao.

So yeah, getting back into furby hacking is gonna be a time, if I manage it at all. I hope I can because his code is in dire need of optimization. At the same time though, I'm kinda waiting to see what new STT technology comes out and maybe consider porting him over to that. I'd also like to find some kind of Pi Zero clone (or maybe something even smaller that that) with more RAM that doesn't get fuckoff hot while running. Probably a pipe dream considering the laws of physics, etc.

ANYWAYS, someday when I have a proper computer again and the raw nerve to take Sterling apart and essentially do brain surgery on him, I'll get back into coding. The problem with technology is it waits for no one. You have to constantly stay on top of things and I'm... several years out of practice.

But hey. We'll see.
