OKAY I FINALLY DID IT anyways Inspired by (and with permission of) @acourtcfmuses's own list, I made a Ship's List, basically meaning it shows the current ships, canon ships, and potential ships. I did all three blogs under one link because I'm a brat.

I have some 'Established Crossover' Ships there too that I do not have sb else I'm writing them w, bc i'm using my own version of thoses muses. Meaning I am open to writing those ships w others if they want, but if mentioned in a thread it's my own versions, NOT other peoples. AKA nobody try and claim i'm forcing ships I'm literally writing w myself to avoid that claim lol. Just like I'm making sure I tag repeatedly that threads w myself are me w me, bc I still remember like, 2018sh when someone tried to claim i was 'tricking people into thinking i was popular by writing with myself' however tf that works, idk, but anyways! nobody be dramatic and here's my list of things!

Today’s book was Sea of Tranquility, by Emily St. John Mandel. I’m nearly positive that I put this book on hold after looking her up based on that tweet about how she had to do an interview about being divorced in order for Wikipedia to allow her to change her Wikipedia page to reflect that. So.

It was very good. Sort of indescribable. I think I felt as if I was bored for most of it (except that I have ADHD and can’t read books that bore me), there’s not a lot of excitement, because of the time travel factor it’s almost (but not quite) at times more a book that’s about things that have happened rather than a book in which things happen. But when I finished it I had to sit with it for a moment. Not thinking or processing or anything, the mystery is solved and explained, the loose ends aren’t unsatisfying or anything, it’s just sort of the way of things that you don’t always know everything about everyone, you know. I just feel very Something. The title is incredibly apt. I think tranquil is very much how I feel. The way everything fits neatly together. I loved the way all the pieces came together at once at the end.

Anyway. Incredible read. I loved each of the characters, they were very real and interesting, and it was pretty easy to remember where each of them sat in the different timelines. I might have to get my own copy, just to have. Definitely will be putting her other books on my list.

Things that Dylan should do: turn off the light, shut the door, walk back inside to the rumpled sheets still warm from when he left them to grab a glass of water. Leave the creature outside to the lightning bugs and the quarter moon and the shifting shadows of the woods along the gap-toothed fenceline of his yard, and then come out in the morning to nothing more than a paw print and the clean reassurance of sunlight to tell him nobody’s there, to ignore the prickle of discomfort that shivers its way across his body as goosebumps and raised hairs when he thinks about turning his back on the memory of those red eyes.

Things that Dylan does instead: whistle.
