15. What would you have in your dream accessible home?

There's so many things I could list but I'm trying to not make to long. Let's see:

All essential rooms on one level. Maybe a storage room, a guest room or my carer's could be upstairs and reachable for me with a stairlift (but stairlifts can break)

Continuing from that, a separate room for carers, so they can chill there when I don't need them. It's best for both parties involved, I think, because having someone in the same room with you all day can be pretty annoying/exhausting.

A big bathroom with two sturdy grab bars next to the toilet as well as an accessible showers with grab bars in it and enough space for a shower chair. Plus, there's a roll-under sink but there's still storage space for toiletries (a lot of ho(s)tels forget about the storage space and the handkerchief hooks as soon as they install a roll-under sink)

Speaking of storage space: I need space to put my disability aids. Not only the wheelchair I use all day but also a couple more things I have. All on top of the non-disability stuff. And just a lot storage space that is at a height I can reach myself.

An adaptive bed. Not only because it's better for my carers' backs if they can lift the bed up to a more comfortable height but also with the function to lift the upper body up so I can actually sit up in bed. (I low-key wish they came in wider mattress sizes, though)

An accessible kitchen. I mean one with a roll-under stove and sink. I don't know whether I'd be actually able to cook on my own as I lack in motor skills and dexterity but maybe I'd be able to make a few simple things without help. Preparing a warm meal for myself on my own would mean a lot to me.

everything has happened all at once over the past couple of days.

two days ago: my dad suffered several mini strokes because someone he was doing work for refused to be patient, continued to play the pain olympics, and kept making threats despite him being obviously very ill to the point of being blind and on a walking stick (yes, i still think he's the most annoying person in the world, but y'know... that lady is going to hell)

the day after, my dog decides to be the biggest idiot known to man, and get into a fight with the other dog. who is bigger and older than her.

she now has two holes in her leg. superficial, but hey, holes. not good. i dont think he meant to bite her hence it being shallow and not at all worrying to the vets.

then, to make matters worse, because i had to work, i had to leave her in the kitchen separate from him because y'know. holes.

this actual idiot somehow in her attempt to get out of the kitchen while i was at work, ripped her whole goddamn dew claw off. like it is completely gone.

two vet trips in two days ladies and gents!!

i am poor and stressed.

not to mention, because of the strokes my dad has suffered, the hospital are saying they'll need to do a home visit before they can release him, to make sure the house is safe for him. it's not. it's absolutely not. it's not even remotely fit to house someone in need of that kind of support and i'm not even remotely suitable to PROVIDE the support he needs.
