what if we rewrite star wars?

Star Wars has a history of not being good for minorities with a history a racism, islamphobia, antisemitism, and ableism. (If there's more please inform me.) Something @unwhitewashthebadbatch and many other have been helping to bring to people's attention.

Which is why I'm proposing the idea of fan-project where we the fans can rewrite Star Wars for the better. Change things to be more inclusive and less of....well everything.

What this project would include:

- writers that chose scenes/episodes/episode arcs and rewrite these moments to be different

- artists/designers that would redesign characters to be more appropriate and less racist as well as draw moments from the writers stories

- a story that still follows (for the most part) star wars canon but in a way that is more inclusive

Right now this is just an interest checker and just an idea I've had. Please feel free to spread the word and voice your opinions and ideas on this project. If enough people are interested in this maybe we can make it happen. (And also I'd make a blog for the project itself I'm not making a blog for something that might not even happen and people might not be interested in)

The great thing about canon giving you only vague details about a character is the fact that you can take that character to the Build-A-Blorbo workshop and stuff them with whatever headcanons your little heart desires.

My redesign of Hunter~

I'm very pleased with how his moko inspired face paint turned out, eventually I will design his true tā moko as I personally think he would first use paint to pay homage and down the line he will seek out a tohunga ta moko (moko specialist) to receive his earned moko.

Designing this was SUCH a challenge, I still wanted to keep the general shape to keep it recognizable but also stay true to the moko.

Now that I have a ref I'll work on more angles and possibly tweak his whole design all together. Feel free to use as a ref yourself! Just credit me please!!

Next I'm going to work on Omega and I'm very excitedddd

I saw a picture of winter soldier where he's kneeling down to pet a cat with his roboarm, so Echo gets the same thing.

Everyday I yearn for even some of these design decisions in canon.

been really feeling the ahsoka fatigue lately because everything is so saturated with her but ngl i got kinda barrisoka pilled so here’s the start of that ig

I’m back with an another redesign of Ahsoka Tano; this time it’s her second padawan outfit (season 3-5).

I drew her markings on her face and Lekku (which I did make longer) to match a little more to how she looks in Rebels; I didn’t like how different she looked in Rebels originally, but the design has kinda grown on me.

I kept her Akul teeth, purple sash that hangs from her belt, and black eyes from Shaak Ti’s original concept design, but changed her jewelry slightly from my first design.

I wanted to give her robes that were more similar to traditional Jedi robes compared to her original outfit, but changed to the sleeves to be a cut open design and her skirt splits at the sides to allow more movement.

The piece that hangs from her belt is from concept art for Shaak Ti.

Her belt is based off of Obi-Wan’s with two lightsaber clips next to each other, but I added her original yellow belt clip, and a pack in the back that Fives has when he becomes a Arc Trooper; I also added a chain with Anooba teeth that hangs from the belt that she kept as trophy for surviving the Citadel.

The last thing I added was the Clone Armor. The chest piece has the Jedi symbol on her right hand side, and a pattern of the holes in her armbands from her original outfit.

The boots have the diamond pattern her leggings have from her original outfit.

And lastly I added different aurebesh names across her armor; I encourage you to translate them.

I’m really happy with design! I think I like it more than my first one.

What do you think of this one?

And should I redesign Ahsoka’s other outfits?

I probably will, but what do you guys think?
