I always wanted to know how Alastor would react to a demon character like this or who is similar to Komi-san from Komi Can't communicate, so this is going to be my take on it.

**First Meeting**

Your arrival in hell wasn't a pleasant one. Literally the second you fell, you were approached by demons left and right, either trying to rob you or offering to sleep with you. Yelling at them would have been easy, but you were a very anxious person to the point you were mute with everyone you encountered. Surprisingly, you were able to run away from the unwanted problems you faced in hell, and was able to come across a flyer that was taped to one of the alley walls. "Come stay at the Happy Hotel" it read, and you figured that it might be a good place to stay for a while and try to make a sense of what you could do now that you were in hell. Having followed the map that was on the other side of the flyer, you were able to come across the hotel, but the neon sign was different then what the paper said, but you figured they probably were remodeling it.

The hotel was huge, it was plastered with neon signs, but also had a radio tower on one side, a large fish like contraption, and a pirate ship. "Amazing" you thought to yourself as you made your way closer to the door, and lightly knocked. A cheery voice was heard on the other side and soon the door opened to reveal a pretty, blonde girl. She had devilish features, but a very adorable baby face, and her smile was quite cute as well. "Oh! Hello! My name is Charlie Morningstar. How may I help you?", she said to you with big bright eyes, as she was patiently waiting for your response. Clenching your jaw, feelings of anxiety began to well up in your stomach, but you bared with it and simply held up the hotel poster in front of Charlie. Charlie was a little curious about your strange response, but she put the pieces together that you were wanting to stay at the hotel. "SQUEAL!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMING!", she said as she threw her arms around you in a bear hug, then letting you go as she pulled you into the hotel.

The inside of the hotel was nice, but needed some remodeling, but you liked it overall. Looking around, you noticed the other demons that were in the hotel. A mini demon was zipping around in a cute dress, cleaning the ceiling with a duster, a cat like demon was chugging a bottle of booze at the bar, and a very tall spider was standing next to the record player, picking out a song. Stopping what they were doing, they all turned to look at you, curiously. Nervous, you raised your hand at them, signifying a hello. The cat demon just nodded his head and continue chugging, while the fast demon zipped in front of you, waving back with a smile, before zooming away to finish cleaning. The tall spider gave you a wink, as they walked to the bar and took a seat. "Vaggie! We have another patron!" Charlie said, as she yelled out next to you, while also leading you to one of the lobby couches to have a seat. As Charlie walked away, your eyes began to scan around the hotel, taking in every detail, and also glancing at the portraits hanging on the wall with Charlie and what looked to be her parents.

"Why Hello there! Who might you be?", a static voice said, as you looked up to see a red suit man with a very sharp smile standing in front of you, leaning down to place his face closer to yours. He was dressed to the nines in a red striped coat, along with a monocle and bow-tie. He also appeared to be holding a microphone staff? Was he a singer by chance? Realizing you were getting distracted, you just nodded your head at the man, and pointed to the poster, similar to what you did with Charlie. The man raised an eyebrow, as he continued to lean closer, most likely waiting for your answer, as his smile got wider, almost breaking his face.

**Alastor POV**

Alastor's eyes continued to stare at the quiet demon, who was holding the poster and kept tapping against it frantically. Amused, Alastor leaned closer, while moving his staff to tap against her chin: "Something wrong my dear? Cat got your tongue?" Alastor watched as the demon remained silent, but he could tell by their eyes that they were nervous, oh how entertaining. "Oh Alastor! So nice of you to show up! This is our new patron who just arrived at the hotel", Alastor heard, as he turned to see Charlie smiling at him, while dragging Vaggie by the hand. Leaning back from his position, Alastor continued to gaze at you while turning back to Charlie. "Ah! So this wayward sinner is here to stay at the hotel! Excellent!" Alastor beamed, as he look down at you, while you shifted in your seat.

**Your POV**

You started to feel a little uncomfortable with everyone's eyes on you, making you clench your hands on your lap. You noticed the other demon next to Charlie. She had long grey hair, and only one of her eyes was showing. She did give you a hard gaze when she saw you, but it softened after few minutes. As she came closer to you, she waved her hand as a hello, while also asking what your name was. You stayed silent, as the butterflies in your stomach made you feel like you wanted to vomit, as everyone was watching you, waiting for your answer. "Whats the matter with you, toots? You deaf or something?", The spider demon had taken a seat next to you, while wrapping an arm around your neck with one of his arms, while poking your cheek with his other hand. Freezing up, you felt your eyes start to water, and you started to slightly shake. Charlie noticed your reactions and bent down on her knees to gaze at you, asking if you were alright. Taking a slow deep breath, you nodded then made a notion with your hands asking for something to write on. Charlie quickly got up and ran to the desk to grab a large notepad and pen, before coming back to you. Once you had the notepad, you began to write down what you wanted to say, before turning the notepad around for everyone to see, while giving them a shy smile:

"Hello my name is Y/N. I just arrived in Hell a few minutes ago and I saw your poster and wanted to stay here. I'm sorry for not responding to you guys normally, but I am selectively mute, I'm sorry again. Its very nice to meet all of you!"

Everyone around you slowly read the notepad and all turned back to look at you. Charlie and Vaggie looked very apologetic, the spider just shrugged his shoulders, the mini one just continued to smile at you, but more softly this time, and the cat demon just continued to drink from the bar. The man in red, or Alastor as they called him, continued to smile at you, seeming unfazed by what you wrote, but you noticed his eyes soften a bit, but he made sure to hide it from the others. "Oh! I'm sorry if we made you uncomfortable." Charlie began to bow her head, but you waved your hands, letting her know it was alright. Charlie raised her head, and soon her frown turned back into a bright smile: "Oh yes, let me introduce everyone! This is Vaggie, my girlfriend. The spider next to you is Angel Dust. Niffty is the small cute one. Husk is the one at the bar, and this is Alastor." You listened to all of the names Charlie said, and looked at everyone, while smiling and nodding your head. Angel Dust smirked while looking at you, turning you head to look at him: "You're quite a cutie aren't ya? I bet your voice sounds very sexy." Angel continued to wrap his arms around you, continuing to flirt with you, until Alastor's staff smacked him on the head. "Now my good fellow! It's not proper to talk that way to a lady! Please kindly remove yourself from them!" Alastor said, as he gazed at Angel, smiling still, but it looked more menacing this time. Angel let you go, while rubbing his head: "Satan F*** Al! You didn't have to hit me with that thing!" Vaggie then yelled at them both to be quiet, as she walked over to front desk and grabbed what looked like to be a room key. She walked back and handed it to you, telling you that your room is on the fourth floor and you can go up there and get settled. Nodding your head as a thank you, you began to walk over to one of the elevators and made your way to your room.

Arriving in your room, you scanned around the interior. The room had some dust and cobwebs, but a little cleaning would help with that. The room was decorated in a maroon red, with a large bed with black sheets, two large windows with curtains, a bathroom and a very wide closet. It almost felt like you got the home suite, which made you feel guilty as you really didn't need a extravagant room like this. Still in thought, you were alerted by a rhythmic knock on your door. Walking over, you looked in the peephole to see Al standing there with his big smile. Opening the door, you nodded your head at Alastor, as he smiled down at you. "Hello again my dear! I was wondering if you had time to chat!"

***Alastor POV***

The quiet sinner nodded her head at Al, while opening the door, allowing me to come in. How adorable! He thought, while making his over to the center of the room and turning back to look at them. "Now my dear! I am here wanting to apologize for how I acted in the lobby! I wasn't behaving like a proper gentleman and I understand if I made you uncomfortable, so let me offer you my sincerest apologies! Let's start over from the beginning, shall we?" Alastor bowed his head a bit, as a sign of him apologizing, and extending his hand out in a handshake. You appeared taken aback in Alastor's eyes, ,but you gave him a soft smile and shook his hand. Once you finished shaking hands, you grabbed the notepad and pen again and began to write to Al, as he gazed at you, wondering what you were writing before you turned the notepad around. Alastor leaned closer, and began to read the message:

"It is alright, Alastor. There is no need for you to apologize. And besides, I'm the one that should apologize for not answering your question when you asked me."

Alastor finished reading, and turned his eyes towards you. His sharp smile slowly turned into a soft grin and his glowing eyes had softened. "Don't worry about that my dear! Now I take it since you will have just arrived in Hell, you are lacking some necessities correct?" Alastor had moved away from you, as he continued to talk while walking around your room. Turning back to you, you gave him a small nod. "Then we will head to the city! Me and Charlie can accompany you! What do you think?" he said, as he turned back to you, with his large grin coming back. Nodding your head at Alastor was his indication that you accepted. Smiling wider, Alastor turned back to you, as he made his way to your door. "It feels that I have extended my stay, so I will leave you be darling! Do make yourself comfortable!" he said, as turned his head back to you. Pulling out the pad again, you wrote down another message and showed it to Al.

"Thank you."

"Your welcome my dear! Have a pleasant evening! Also don't forget to head to the kitchen later! My mother's famous jambalaya is on the menu for tonight! So good, it nearly killed her! HAHA!" , Laughing out his response, Al watched as he saw you give him a smile, a real smile this time. "My! What a gorgeous smile!" He thought, as he bid you adieu and made his way back to the lobby. As he made his way back, Alastor stopped and thought about you. Puzzling was a word he used to describe you. He had never encountered a sinner down here who chose to not speak while having the ability to do so. He mostly assumed you were terrified of him, due to his status as "The Radio Demon. Most feared overlord in Hell.", but that wasn't the case. Something about you made him feel odd, hell he even apologized to you, which he would never do given his massive pride/ego, so he wondered why. Seeing you write on the notepad and apologizing for not responding normally, made his heart ache. Why should you apologize for something like that? Realizing he had stopped in the middle of the hallway, he carried on back to the others, still thinking about you and also how would your voice sound when you spoke out loud. Alastor smiled wider, as he thought you were going to be a very special and entertaining sinner here at the hotel.

For years Alastor had reigned supreme, undisputed master of the airwaves. No one did anything there without his say-so. Anyone that dared intrude and even thought about touching the radio with him around was quickly disabused of the notion. If they loved his radio so much, they could guest star in his show! That or make a Deal, ending up another thrall in the countless scores he was amassing.

So when he felt yet another uninvited touch, he thought it was just another pirate radio station he was going to have to put down. His consciousness reached out, the impression of a great stag stomping territorially though waves and frequencies, antlers like antenna stretching towards the heavens, searching for whoever it was and coming up empty. Whatever it was changed frequencies and location with almost the same ease that Alastor himself did. How exciting!

Finally, finally, like a tug in his web. Something caught and stuck, scrambling and twisting sine and amplitude and getting further trapped. It was a mistake that Alastor had made before in his early days, though no one had been capable of perceiving him on that level when he'd done so. He reached out, triangulating and following the signal to the source.

At first he wasn't quite sure what he was seeing, tilting his head this way and that, folding in on himself to get closer. He'd expected an actual set-up of some kind, not a singular demon whose presence tingled like static as Alastor brushed against him.

FNAF in DBD concepts:

So we all probably heard that FNAF is officially Dead by Daylight's Anniversary chapter for next year, and it's all but confirmed that the killer will be Springtrap, but here are some other predictions and concepts I have. These likely aren't happening it would just be fun.

Springtrap - Vanny Visceral Skin

Pretty self-explanatory. If Springtrap is the chapter's killer (which it most likely is) then Vanny would be a great visceral skin for him. I would say Legendary, but I feel like Vanny would have completely different animations to Springtrap due to not being a robot.

The Dredge - Mangle Legendary Skin

I think this would go hard, as it would be a mess of wires with her main head being obviously the Toy Foxy head, whilst the rest of him would be a mangle of animatronic parts. I think something cool would be if instead of goopy noises, she made radio static noises and metallic sounds. He'd have to have more added wires and limbs to make up for Dredge's size but it doesn't have to be a 1-for-1 recreation anyway.

The Unknown - Michael/Ennard Legendary Skin

This would go hard I think. It would be pretty similar to the Unknown's default design, just purple and more zombie-looking I guess. I think the Unknown works for this idea since it really gives the appearance of a non-human entity wearing human skin to appear humanoid, and that's more of less what Ennard was doing with Michael's rotting corpse. Maybe facially it could look somewhat similar to Josh Hutcherson but that's a bit of a stretch.

Dwight - Nightguard Inspired Costume

Usually, with big video game licenses like this, one of DBD's original survivors gets a skin, typically either Dwight or Feng. While I could see Feng decked out in a Chica cosplay or something of that sort, that seems a bit too out there I guess. I think it would make more sense to see Dwight in a FNAF-inspired outfit, either based on the movie or the graphic novel's security guard design. Hell, maybe he'll just get a purple shirt or a shirt with a Fazbear design on it, idk.

The Map

So I know a lot of people want the map to just be based on one location. However, I personally have a different idea in mind. Similar to the Saw map, they could merge different locations together. If it's a one-for-one recreation of, let's say, Fazbear's Frights, we'd get another situation like RPD, where it's accurate to the original game but also not great for DBD's gameplay. Instead, I think it would be interesting to have rooms and locations based on all of the games. Maybe the office is the iconic FNAF 1 office, and then there's Pirate's Cove, but also the Puppet's music box is here, and there are some broken animatronics lying around that are from various different games. It would also make sense lore-wise since, in DBD, the maps are taken from the character's memories, so it would be like an amalgamation of Springtrap's memories, for example. It would be more interesting than trying to choose one of the iconic FNAF locations, and turning it into a DBD map.

Map Easter Eggs

Adding to my last point, whatever map they decide to go for should be similar to Midwich, RPD and Nostromo, in my opinion. Not structure-wise, but rather with the easter eggs. Midwich has girls crying in bathrooms, shaking bodies, bodies falling out of lockers, and RPD has zombies outside the windows and the save menu music playing in the safe room. Nostromo has the face-hugger in the window, Jonesy in the lockers, and the MU-TH-UR room, and if they added this level of love to the FNAF map, that would be amazing. Some ideas would be hearing the music box music near the Puppet's box (and maybe even the Puppet leaping up from the box), JJ under the office table sometimes, the audio of Chica in the kitchen playing behind the Kitchen door, the Cupcake wandering around and Shadow Freddy/Bonnie randomly appearing in the hallway but then disappearing when you turn around. Stuff like that.

The car clicked shuddered into reverse, Abby’s large arm blocking Dina’s view of the road as they backed down the driveway— a slight hum coming from the radio.

“So, place your bets now. Talia has either given JJ chocolate or he hasn’t had a nap, my money is on nap.” Dina peered over at the blonde, fingers coming to toy with the buttons on the radio, flipping through stations of static to land on the only thing that wasn’t garbled— country— making her huff lightly as she settled back down into the passengers seat.

Abby clicked her tongue against her teeth, one hand holding the wheel while the other came down to settle on the girls thigh— rubbing small circles into the flesh exposed by her shorts. “I might have to agree with you this time,” she began, eyes focused on the quickly disappearing blacktop. “She seemed really excited to have him over, probably didn’t give him a moment of peace for a nap.”

The brunette snorted, a chortle of a laugh falling from her lips as she nodded. “You’re very right, she loves him so much it might be unhealthy.” She teased, moving a hand to brush her hair over her shoulder, leaning her head back to settle on the headrest. “I’m glad she offered to babysit today though, we needed a date night.”

“That we did,” Abby smiled, taking her eyes off the road for a second to peer over at Dina— watching as she rolled her eyes playfully. “I forgot how quiet our house gets when we’re not chasing a toddler around.” She paused for a moment, shaking her head slightly. “I did miss him though.”

Dina bit the inside of her cheek, nose scrunching as she gave a small nod. “I didn’t want to say it but I did too.” She breathed finally, her hand coming to rest on top of Abby’s speckled one, “I loved being alone with you but—,”

“—It felt like something was missing, I know, baby.” The woman turned her palm up, letting Dina’s fingers come to intertwine with her own— giving her hand a reassuring squeeze. “He’ll be home soon, don’t worry.”

Her tawny eyes softened, a warmth rising in her cheeks as she turned her head to look directly at Abby. From the way she was sitting, the setting sun had taken a backpedal to Abby’s beauty, making a small sigh fall from Dina’s mouth as she stared. The girls honey hair was weaved carefully into her braid, the strain of the day making tiny strands fall and frame her face, creating a halo as the haze of orange light filtered through— an angelic glow filling the gaps of sunkissed skin. Never had she ever had the pleasure of being loved so purely, so openly— the memories of the taut blonde holding a tiny JJ flooding her mind as if it was the first time.

“I love you.”

It was Abby’s turn to turn, her head snapping in the woman’s direction before the looked away— the familiar flush of pink filling her cheeks. “I-I love you too, but—,” she began, being cut off by Dina’s shushing.

“Don’t ask questions, Abigail.” She enunciated, squeezing her hand tightly as the road forked— sending them turning onto Jackson Road, Talia’s house coming into view as they trekked on— the large bushes of hydrangeas settled before her front porch unmistakeable. “Oh my goodness,” she breathed, squinting as Abby made a slight left into the woman’s driveway.

The blonde chuckled, shaking her head. “Looks like we were right.” She spoke, watching as JJ chased the older woman around— a foam sword in his hand and the tatters of a pirate costume adoring his tiny body. The sight was something she wished she could frame, her foot coming to ease on the break— causing the car to halt, her hand itching to grab her phone. The boy was growing so fast, before they’d even realize he was already four, running and smiling and laughing like his entire purpose was to be seen. Be heard. Be loved. “He’s going to crash once we get him buckled up.”

Dina was already halfway out of the car before it had stopped, her hand pulling from Abby’s as she let the car door slam behind her. “JJ!” She half-shouted, watching as the boy stopped in his step before spinning around on his heel to look for the voice he recognized as ‘mama’s.’ She held out her arms for him as she kneeled down by the side of the car, his little legs carrying him to her— sword discarded on the clover lawn.

Abby had taken to exiting the car, coming around behind to watch as the boy stumbled into his mama’s arms— her heart squeezing at the sight of his chubby hands balling in her flannel. “How was he today, a menace- I hope?” The girl joked, her eyes coming to land on Talia’s approaching figure, laughing slightly as the woman pulled off a much-too-small eyepatch.

“It is Dina’s son, what more could you expect?” She returned, nudging her sister gently with the tip of her converse. “I’ll run inside and get his bag, it’s supposed to storm so I don’t wanna keep you guys too long.”

Dina pulled back from the boy, noting the yawn that left his mouth as he tore his gaze from her to land on Abby.

“Bee!”

Before Abby could react, he’d already wriggled out of Dina’s hold— coming to latch himself to her leg. “Hey there, little man.” She smiled, bending down to pry him off, letting him come to rest on her hip as Dina pulled herself up from the gravel— sticking her tongue out at the toddler, erecting a fit of giggles to fall from his lips.

“Traitor.” She murmured playfully, navigating past Abby to open the back door, moving the toys around to clear his booster seat. “He’s walking the plank when we get home, just so you know.” She quipped alluding to the possibility of a bath, moving back to hold her arms out for him, the stickiness of his hands not going unnoticed as he settled into her grasp begrudgingly.

Talia was panting when she appeared again, dinosaur backpack in hand, holding it out for Abby to take as she doubled over. “Sorry,” she wheezed, taking a breath before continuing. “It was upstairs and I didn’t want to keep you both waiting— I know how,” she paused, sitting up straight as she gave the woman a nod. “—Dina, Dina is about storms.”

The blonde gave her a smile, holding the backpack close to her chest as she nodded. “Thank you, Tals, now get inside before you fall over dead.” She nodded up towards the house, watching as the girl took back steps.

“Love you all, and bring my baby back!” She shouted, turning on her heel to run back to the porch, disappearing back inside the house— this time for good as the door audibly slammed behind her. Whether she wanted to admit it or not, she came to share Dina’s storm phobia, making it all the more obvious as the curtains could be seen flying shut.

Dina snapped JJ’s seatbelt into place, tugging on it gently to make sure it was secure before giving him a tiny kiss on the forehead— clicking the car door shut behind her. She hesitated at her own door, peering up at the burly blonde, a hint of a smile pulling at her mauve lips. “I—,���

“I love you too.” Abby smiled, moving a hand to cup her face, her head dipping down to connect their lips in a gentle kiss— the taste of Dina’s honey chapstick making her sigh.

The brunette pulled back to rest her forehead on Abby’s, eyes coming to meet her slate ones. “New bet, how long will it take JJ to fall asleep? I think about ten minutes.”

“You’re so on, he’s gonna be out in five.”

Eddie is summoned to Steve's house by... his mom! He has no idea what to expect. All he knows is he hasn't heard from Steve in three days while he helps his mother pack up the house ready for sale. All he wants is to be able to sit with his Stevie out on their picnic blanket in that gigantic backyard.

Eddie hasn’t seen or heard from Steve in three days.

Okay, maybe that isn’t exactly true. Dustin called him after the first twenty-four hours went by, talking a mile a minute and saying Steve’s phone was disconnected. He was also (literally) radio silent over the walkies Henderson had insisted on distributing for emergencies post-Vecna. Not that the walkie system was even used for emergencies almost a year later. 

More like they were being used to facilitate endless bickering, gossip and everyday minutiae. 

So to placate the kid, Eddie radioed Steve, who brushed off concerns with a rushed explanation, peppering it with variations of “It’s fine” and “I’m fine”. Classic Steve. The conversation left Eddie with no choice but to take a deep breath and trust that his boyfriend was in fact, a-okay.

This gave Eddie the incredibly annoying task of answering to the dork brigade, now individually pestering him with phone calls. Phone calls that Wayne is most definitely tired of too. But that’s what you get after surviving an almost-apocalypse with a bunch of teenagers. Everyone tends to magically transform into an army of worrywarts at the drop of a pin.

Not that Steve’s parents announcing they were selling Castle Harrington was anything small.

Eddie cuts the engine of Wayne’s truck, parking so far down the long, winding driveway he might as well be at the Loch Nora bus stop. He clicks the walkie on, already dialled into Robin’s channel, static sounding as it springs to life.

“Eddie the Banished to Buckley, over.”

He waits, tapping nervously on the steering wheel with his free hand, regretting bringing Robin into this in the first place. Maybe he shouldn’t have even called her to say he was coming here.

Up until about an hour ago, he was respecting Steve’s wishes by not encroaching on him helping his mother pack their stuff up so his folks could move to Indy.

But then she called him.

He’d be like “yarrrrrrghhhh… give me yer loot, landlubber…” Also “Prepare to be boarded” “I’ll make ye walk the plank” Like Monty wants to be the star of the band, Foxy would have a arcade game that shows Foxy wants to stage a little mutiny against Freddy and be the Captain of the band

Concept for this version of Foxy:

The log ride wasn’t finished and abandoned and Fazbear Entertainment felt they needed to take Foxy to the future if he were to become a Glamrock. So Foxy becomes Space Pirate Foxy! No spacecraft is safe from the dreadful Captain Foxy and this makes Glamrock Foxy Freddy’s rival in terms of Fazerblast and in the band. Kid's Cove gets transformed into Foxy's Andromeda plunder, where you can pilot space pirates to plunder ships, listen to Dread Captain Foxy's tales and do battle with the space kraken! Like Monty wants to be the star of the band, Foxy would have a arcade game that shows Foxy wants to stage a little mutiny against Freddy and be the Captain of the band and Roxy and Monty are more than happy to help Foxy, while Freddy, Chica and Bonnie are hella nervous.

Foxy's boss fight. You do battle in the Andromeda Plunder, wage battle ship against Foxy and his and his death could be getting torn apart by cannons on board a pirate ship or being torn apart by the Kraken ride.

Shattered form:Foxy’s shattered form would look like Mangle. Only replacing the radio static with distorted pirate shanties.

last film: i rewatched pirates of the caribbean 2 w one of my friends (who had never seen it before can you guys believe that?!?!) and it's still as brilliant as ever, four and a half stars on letterboxd (there's no rhyme or reason behind my star system on letterboxd like i do it on the vibe in the moment and am now wondering why i didn't give it five stars??)

currently reading: okay so boring answer is 'the decameron' by boccaccio, i'm studying him for the second part of this term and really shot myself in the foot bc i didn't realise how fucking long it was (nearly 700 pages) and i have NO time ever so it's gonna be a little miserable over here in roughly two weeks when my first essay on him is due.... seems interesting tho i've read like 40 pages so far.... more exciting answer is anna karenina!! started reading it in the holidays (when i should've been reading the decameron lol) and have only read like one part and a bit so far bc i never have the time for fun reading during uni :(.... gimme like three months tho and i'll get back to you guys, i really enjoyed the bits i have read and will absolutely have some marauders-related thoughts once i have the full picture (incapable of not linking all media to them)

Do you have any fancasts for who should voice/play any particular characters in a Metroid show/movie? Of course Samus is a more loaded topic, and some characters like Raven Beak and Anthony have VAs, but what about Ridley? Mother Brain? Kanden? If you wanna get really speculative, what about Sylux?

Okay okay this is my time to pitch for Mother Brain either Cate Blanchett (for her role as Hela in Thor: Ragnarok), or Angela Bassett (for her role as Shatter in Bumblebee); I’m leaning more towards the latter because Bassett’s performance was specifically an evil duplicitous robot who puts on this friendly facade, that either reins in or lets loose her more sadistic, reckless male counterpart that has big child with a magnifying glass and ant hill vibes (AKA Ridley). There’s this very sickly sweet yet condescending and insincere tone to Mother Brain in my head. I’ve been sitting on this fan cast since forever and I’m so glad for the opportunity to bring it up. I’ve also considered Lorraine Toussaint, for Shadow Weaver from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, and Masago from Star Wars: Visions. Lots of gaslighting “Join me in bringing order to the galaxy” and “I totally backstabbed everyone for good reasons” vibes.

Can’t think of anything for anyone else, at least in terms of specific actors. But for voice HCs… For Kanden, I’d prefer him to just be silent entirely, and for the rare times he speaks it’s in a low, rumbling, presumably Enoema dialect; That way it still preserves the idea of him being incomprehensible, alien, not quite heard or understood by the viewer.

For Ridley, it’s hard to describe but I like to have him with this almost buzzing filter, like he’s speaking through a radio; No static though! So not necessarily a raspy voice. I HC him as speaking the way parrots do, so his mouth and lips don’t necessarily move. Despite my previous comparisons, no I’m not considering Justin Theroux as a fan cast, too deep unless he shows a lighter vocal range. At which point it’d feel too perfect not to pair him up with Bassett again lol.

Kraid I’m still figuring out because despite him being a fave I’m obsessed with, somehow I’m still struggling to nail his personality and dynamic with Ridley and Mother Brain… But I am kinda inspired by this brief, slavering line by Benedict Campbell’s performance as King K. Rool, used in this fanmade Captain N reboot trailer, since I see a lot of similarity to K. Rool and Kraid;

K. Rool is often paired with Ridley because they were revealed back to back in cinematic trailers for Ultimate, being heavyweight villain entries to Day One franchises in Smash that otherwise had only heroes, with a huge amount of hype and demand about them for years no less. They’re even both reptilian pirates!!! Sakurai evidently picked up on the similarities because when doing Kraid’s Spirit battle, he used K. Rool to represent him. Sometimes I consider taking my perception of K. Rool’s personality and just transplanting it into Kraid, because it’s not as if I’m imagining doing a pitch for a(nother) Donkey Kong show haha…

I always thought Kraid’s Super design gave me vibes for a voice like Polpo’s from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, either his original VA Hideo Ishikawa or Brook Chalmers for the English dub. I’ve considered Polpo as an inspiration for Kraid since they’re both huge fat villains who spend all their time in a room they somehow managed to fit in, and rely on a bunch of defenses to even get to them; But are still incredibly dangerous and high-ranking themselves, giving out orders from within their ‘cells’… They even have some strange regeneration going on with their fingers.

Polpo is a wealthy guy with a taste for the finer things in life, and Kraid seems built for defending things, more on that in another post; So characterizing him as a dragon with a hoard of treasure (making both Space Pirate lieutenants dragons, fittingly) and leaning into the material greed aspect of the Space Pirates, feels appropriate. Though sometimes I worry about leaning into fatphobic stereotypes by characterizing Kraid as a hedonist…

Of course, I consider the Dread design the new standard for Kraid now, and the vibes there feel more K. Rool to me… But at least more stereotypically piratey, which is good because I want to hearken to the OG vibes behind the term ‘Space Pirate’ before Metroid evolved the group into an entire military coalition. There’s also Darin De Paul as Sloth from Darksiders III, who even resembles Kraid, esp the more insectoid interpretation that almost made into Prime. Sloth’s vibe is meant to be more apathetic, but that might be relevant to Kraid’s static position, and even if toned down is a way to foil the more aggro ambition of Ridley and Mother Brain; He relies a lot on minions, something I also consider for Kraid. And simply for vibes is Clancy Brown doing Hades from God of War III, there's the deep and gravelly inflection, plus a monologue for vengeance that could hearken to Kraid outliving all of the other Space Pirates.

I actully like this show, not enough to break the boycott but enough to pirate it. anyways lets go through the quick list as this show has a range of good points and bad points!

1. Designs. I fucking love monsters, monsters are my Bread, my Butter, My reason for getting up in the morning, yet consistently i found myself disappointed in each of the characters and what they were supposed to be, for instance alastor and vox

these two are supposed to media manifest, alastor is the Radio demon, yet his apperance is more around overtly edgy homestuck troll with horns i couldnt draw yet and vox is giving pyrocynical avatar. their designs are muddied because the concepts are muddied. alastor is not only the radio demon, he is the "voodoo man", the circus, the entertainer, the deal maker, the shadow weaver, the puppet on strings, and a myriad of other resume stuffers that are not needed. there is more then enough. every layer fights each other for attention, the only thing left on him that even remotly represents the radio is his staff that modulates his voice to have a radio static filter and without it he becomes a normal deer esque demon. i do not thing its good design if i can remove one aspect of a charecter and ruin it. this goes for vox as well, though i give them more of a pass because fuck me, he really do be haveing a Television as a head. but once again if i removed that aspect, what else tells me he is the television demon? his tie has a singal symbol on it, he has kinda robotic hands? but not really because he has the exact same hands as alastor leading me to belive he is wearing fingerless gloves or gloves with color blocked fingers which is a werid additon.this is ontop of the annoynce i feel at knowing that one is a recolor of the other minus the heads.

2. the pace.

the story itself moves either way to fucking quickly, i do belive that it was good to end the story itself on a redemption but we dont get enough of pentious being an actul sinner and evil guy to feel as though he deserves the redemption. show us the worst traits of our guests so that we can see the progress they are makeing through out the season so that when they do finally do something heroic and selfless and make it to heaven, we the viewing audiance can also enjoy that unilateral feeling of satisfaction of seeing our fav be vindicated as a Good Guy. im not trying to woobify pentious, exact oppisate, i want pentious to have agency to be evil and i want him to have agency to be good. we get this Somewhat with angel dust as they start makeing concious decisions to better themselves, to extract themselves from things, as well as make awful fucking choices and do Bad Things because again, these are Sinners And Demons who are reaching for redemption and salvation, I do not think we should have seen heaven at all, the embassy? yes, maybe a court of angels in hell to consider charlies plan? sure, but we should have never seen heaven until a sinner could see it.

i think i just had those two but im Bad At Being Concise... anyways viv is better at writing gay people then she is at lesbians which fascinates me to no end.

Foxy The Pirate Fox: Hi i am foxy the pirate fox i have an eyepatch and a hook for my right hand. Oh and i have a child soul possessing me. The child soul name is fritz. Fritz is the child soul possessing me. In five nights at freddy’s 1 i appear in pirate cove but i start to get out of pirate cove until that the curtains are wide open if you don’t see me in pirate cove when you check the west hall you can see me running to your office. The only way to prevent me from jumpscaring you is by closing the left door and i will bang on the door preventing me from jumpscaring you. But if you don’t do that then when i run to your office i will jumpscare you. And in ultimate custom night when you see a figurine of me at your desk i again appear in pirate cove and i start to get out of pirate cove until i appear at your office but when i appear at your office i will take myself apart and my pieces will slid in through any open door or vent. There’s no way to prevent me from jumpscaring you however you can remove me by using the death coin on me. Once all my pieces are together i will reassemble myself and jumpscare you.

Mangle: Hi i am mangle i am one of the toy animatronics. I used to be toy foxy the pirate fox but kids took me apart and the employees can’t fix me anymore. But to be honest i like myself better like this. Because now i can grapple on the ceiling. In five nights at freddy’s 2 i appear at kid’s cove but then i start moving to prize corner, game area, main hall, the hallway outside the office, party room 1 then party room 2 then i crawl in the right air vent to the office. If you hear my static radio and when you see me at the right air vent the only way to prevent me from jumpscaring you is by putting on the freddy mask in order to prevent me from jumpscaring you. If you don’t then when you put the monitor i will grapple onto the office ceiling with my static radio and then when you have the monitor up i will eventually jumpscare you. And in ultimate custom night i appear in the top vent coming to your office. The only way to prevent me from coming to your office is by clicking on the vent snares on wherever vent im coming from for example if i am at the middle vent click on the vent snare to prevent me from coming to your office. If you don’t do that then when i come to your office i will grapple onto the office ceiling with my static radio and then when you have the monitor up i will eventually jumpscare you.

Withered Foxy The Pirate Fox: Hi i am withered foxy the fox i am one of the withered animatronics. This is my withered form before my form in five nights at freddy’s 1. Fritz is still the child soul possessing me. In five nights at freddy’s 2 i appear at the parts and service room but then i move to the hallway outside the office. I am not fooled by the freddy mask. The freddy mask won’t prevent me from jumpscaring you. The only way to prevent me from jumpscaring you is by shining the flashlight on me in order to prevent me from jumpscare you. If you don’t when you don’t turn on the flashlight or out of batteries and balloon boy coming your office and your flashlight disabled i will eventually get to your office and jumpscare you. You’ll hear more about balloon boy in every other character generations.

Phantom Foxy The Pirate Fox: Hi i am phantom foxy the pirate fox i am one of the phantom animatronics. In five nights at freddy’s 3 i just appear randomly at your office and when you look at me at your office i will jumpscare you but i don’t give you a game over. We phantoms don’t really give you a game over.

Phantom Mangle: Hi i am phantom mangle i am one of the phantom animatronics. In five nights at freddy’s 3 i appear at cam 04 and when you look at me at cam 04 i will then appear behind the window at your office with my static radio i will only appear for a couple of seconds then i will disappear. And in ultimate custom night I will randomly appear at your monitor screen and when i do i will then appear at your office with my static radio only for a couple of seconds then i will disappear.

Nightmare Foxy The Pirate Fox: Hi i am nightmare foxy the pirate fox i am one of the nightmare animatronics. In five nights at freddy’s 4 i will appear at the left hall and right hall briefly when you shine the flashlight but when you hear my footsteps that means i will then go to the closet. And when you check the closet i give you a short jumpscare but no game over yet. The only way to prevent me from jumpscaring you is by keeping me in your closet you hold the closet door shut until when you open it again you’ll see the foxy plush that means it’ll prevent me from jumpscaring you. But if your to distracted from checking the closet i will come out of the closet and jumpscare you.

Nightmare Mangle: Hi i am nightmare mangle i am one of the nightmare animatronics. In five nights at freddy’s 4 i will appear on the left or right hall briefly when you shine the flashlight but when i head to your closet my static radio will be play. And when you check the closet i give you a short jumpscare but no game over yet. The only way to prevent me from jumpscaring you is by keeping me in your closet you hold the closet door shut until when you open it again you’ll see the mangle plush that means it’ll prevent me from jumpscaring you. But if your to distracted from checking the closet i will come out of the closet and jumpscare you. And in ultimate custom night i will appear at the right hallway. The only way to prevent me from jumpscaring you is by purchasing the mangle plushie from the prize corner and it’ll prevent me from jumpscaring you. If you don’t when you have the monitor up i will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Funtime Foxy The Pirate Fox: Hi i am funtime foxy the pirate fox i am one of the funtime animatronics. Well i may not be a pirate but i am still a fox and i share the same name with all the other foxes. Anyway in five nights at freddy’s sister location i appear in the funtime auditorium. In night 3 when you enter funtime auditorium you have to use the flash beacon in order to prevent me from jumpscaring you and if you don’t then i will come at you and jumpscare you. And in five nights at freddy’s sister location custom night i will hide behind the curtains in cam 07. If i am not in cam 07 and the curtains are wide open you have a short amount of time to close the right door in order to prevent me from jumpscaring you and if you don’t i will come to your office and jumpscare you. And in ultimate custom night i will hide behind the curtains in funtime cove waiting for the show to begin. For example at 1am. To prevent me from jumpscaring you you have to use the death coin on me before 1am in order to prevent me from jumpscaring you if not then when it’s 1am i will come to your office and jumpscare you. Showtimes are on the hour, not a moment before and not a moment later.

Lolbit: Hi i am lolbit i am one of the funtime animatronics. Like funtime foxy said i may not be a pirate but i am still a fox and i share the same name with all the other foxes. In five nights at freddy’s sister location i only appear as an easter egg at the primary control module. In five nights at freddy’s sister location custom night i appear on the three monitor screens in order to prevent me from using my audio distraction type lol on the keyboard to prevent me from my audio distraction but if you don’t i will appear right in front of you with a message that says please stand by with a repeated beeping noise blocking your screen for seven seconds not having you use the monitor or doors. You can still type lol to make me disappear. And in ultimate custom night when dee dee summons me i will appear right in front of you as the same pop up image of me with the message please stand by with the same repeating beeping noise. The only way to get rid of me is by typing lol on the keyboard and then i will disappear. My full body is like funtime foxy but orange with a purple bow tie but no eyelashes.

Rockstar Foxy The Pirate Fox: Hi i am rockstar foxy the pirate fox i am one of the rockstar animatronics. Not only i have an eyepatch and a hook on my right hand i also have a peg leg on my left leg, an accordion and most of all a parrot with me. How cool is that for a pirate fox like me. Anyway in freddy fazbear’s pizzeria simulator you first see me in catalog mode but when you purchase me in blueprint mode you can set me anywhere you like on the show stage. But when you get all the rockstar animatronics you’ll receive an achievement that says rockstars assemble. And in ultimate custom night my parrot will fly across the office when you click on my parrot i will be able to help you with four things. Add 1% power, putting your office to 60 degrees, give you 10 faz coins and soundproofing the office. However when you click on my parrot on the right corner of the office and i say “Yarr! Ye win some, ye lose some” I will then jumpscare you.
