I’ve just finished fully restoring this Our Lady statute. It had been broken and glued back together in parts, there was chips throughout the statue, some parts completely missing including the nose, part of the veil, all this I had to remake by hand on the statue. I then had to sand the old lead paint off in order to achieve an even finished re-paint. It took me around 86hours to fully complete this as it was so damaged. But when it was reunited with its owners it was hugely rewarding to see how happy they was. That’s something that restoration work can never put a price on.

Why did I tear apart my $$$$ statue? As awesome as the Queen Studios Venom bust is, it has some issues. The mouth is formed with multiple pieces (the upper teeth, lower teeth, and the two stringy cheek pieces)…meaning seams! The factory did not properly fill in the seams at the corners of the lower jaw, leading to cracks forming. Once I removed the clear goop in these areas, you can see how huge the gap is. The original clear goop was difficult to remove just in the corners of the mouth, so I actually had to remove it along the entire lower jaw. I spent some time the last few days filling in and resculpting the seams, and repainting to match. Then I re-applied the clear goop using a UV resin. I’m fairly happy with how this repair turned out…this is probably how it should have been done in the first place. 💥💥💥 #statue #repair #repaint #venom #spiderman #marvel #bust #queenstudios (at Edmonton, AB) https://www.instagram.com/p/CkkHuvprVDa/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Beloved Eagle Statue
I repainted my dads beloved eagle statue, had it so long I can't remember it ever not being there.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take the before photo.
It was severely sunbleached and I had to carve the feathers to look uniform due to a issue with the mold seam.
I am in pain…

Champagne & Shenanigans
Summary - You and Benedict become not so sober at a ball.
Notes - 760 words. She’s a short bean, but we love her anyhow. Fluff, my grammar, neck kisses?, drinking/being drunk. *Don’t repost or translate this without my permission.*
🥂🎨
You couldn’t remember how you ended up drunk, but you did. One moment you were entering the ball, the next you felt a buzz running through your body. You weren’t drunk enough to do something outrageously embarrassing, but you most certainly didn’t have your manners completely attached. Both fortunately and unfortunately your husband was just as drunk as you were. You had just finished a glass of wine, and replaced that glass with a glass of champagne when you realized you hadn’t scene your husband in a while.
You approached his mother. “Have you seen, Benedict?”
Violet Bridgerton shook her head, smiling. “No, my dear. Not recently. I last saw him in discussion with Lord Raemwork, discussing the colors of the wall.”
You thanked her and made your way through the crowd, making sure to not spill your champagne. You found your husband, observing the painting on the wall. You quickly approached him and found him with a glass of wine in his hand. He was muttering under his breath about the colors working naturally well with the light.
“Ben, dear?” You said, approaching him and placing a gentle hand on his shoulder.
He turned to face you, smiling upon realizing who it was. He pulled your hand up to his lips and placed a kiss on the back of it before doing it again and one more time for good measure, making you cover up a giggle. A few heads turned your war.
“We are at an event, Benedict,” you admonished as best you could but your husband was too busy observing your face to pay much attention.
He only grinned in your direction, before reaching for the fabric of your dress, playing with the skirt a moment. He let out a happy, thankfully quiet, gasp. “You see how the wall color complements your dress so well, dear?” Benedict noted proudly. He looked between your dress and the wall once more. “Perhaps we should repaint the drawing room. I like this blue.”
You laughed before reaching for his hand and downing the rest of your champagne in one swig. You pulled him away from the wall, that dumb grin that made your heart pump like wild spreading over his face.
You passed Lady Cowper and her daughter, Cressida. Neither of them were very pleasant. You leaned towards Lady Cowper’s ear as your walked by. “You have something on your bodice.” You relished, maybe too much, the sudden look of horror on her face as she stepped away to check what you were referring too. It was more exciting to know that she had gotten herself riled up over nothing.
Making your way through the crowd, as quickly as you could without being impolite, your husband smiling all the way. You pushed the doors open that lead out to the gardens, breathing in the night air. You were barely out the door when Ben pulled you towards him, placing a kiss on your cheek, then your other cheek. You giggled against his touch before pulling him farther into the gardens. You both paused before a statue of an angel above a fountain. “What a pretty face,” you mumbled, looking at it.
Benedict hummed in agreement, as you turned your gaze back to him, realizing he wasn’t even looking at the statue. “Yes you do,” he said stepping towards you and placing a not so chaste kiss against your lips.
You laughed in response as your husband’s arms wrapped around your waist, before looking back over at the angel. “Now imagine that statue in the blue you’re in now,” Benedict whispered into your ear before kissing it.
You let out a small hum in response before stepping forward and dipping your finger into the fountain and then pulling it out again. You weren’t really sure why but you just really wanted to do that. Benedict stepped forward again, an arm going around your waist, the other lifting up to the side of your face, his finger twirling a loose curl in your hair. He leaned forward ever so slightly placing a kiss on the side of your neck before looking back up at the angel.
“Unfortunate you don’t have paint on you,” you whispered as if whispering the most important secret out there.
Benedict laughed, placing another kiss to your neck.
“Time to go home?” You asked him. Benedict has a tendency to become a needy man-child when he was drunk. You didn’t need to see Ben’s face to know he was grinning from ear to ear.
“Time to go home.”

Repaired Affection Pt. 1
Pairing: Glamrock Bonnie x GN!Reader
Summary: In which reader is tasked in helping to repair the elusive and ever-mysterious Glamrock Bonnie.
A/N: Mostly inspired by RUIN's Glamrock Bonnie! But fanon is also incorporated! Also Tumblr just deleted my entire draft of this so I'm rewriting it again, YAY! A message from the gods to not pick back up on writing, perhaps?
Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Bonnie's red eyes flickered to life before you.
They casted a ghostly carmine hue upon the darkened and stuffed Parts and Services room and a twinge of nerves bubbled inside of your chest. You had worked tirelessly repainting, reconstructing, and repairing all of the animatronic's exterior. You sewed his accessories back together which had been ripped to shreds in a questionably strange fashion. You mended, sanded, painted, and sealed each and every plastic casing covering the rabbits endoskeleton. You repainted and, with much struggle, re-stringed and tuned his bass. A few tasks upon many, many others. Copious hours were poured into this project with a hefty paycheck promised at the very end, and frankly, that was your only driving force. Such a task would have turned you away had the money not been completely worth it.
Working in tandem with the software department to repair Bonnie's memories and other internal components that were, honestly, far too confusing for you, you were finally able to bare witness to the grand awakening of the Glamrock Bonnie. The animatronic that had suddenly disappeared without a trace, only to be found in an undisclosed location, completely destroyed.
As to what happened to the poor hunk of metal, it eluded you. Management kept everything tightly under wraps and sealed away from lower-level security clearance employees such as yourself. You were merely employed for cosmetic repairs with your extensive knowledge in many different art mediums. If you were being honest, investigating such a mystery seemed beyond your pay grade, even with the fat check to be given in your name. You knew this company had many secrets, and Bonnie was certainly one of them. You only cared about doing what you were being paid for, and nothing else.
Most of the time, management had you working in secret, in a small, cramped, and cluttered room buried away in Parts and Service. Its small area rendered your job very, very hard. But you persevered, and finally, all those months of work were about to pay off.
The robot bunny, sat upon a metal desk, lay still and completely unmoving before you. The only indicator of his online status being the soft glow from his unblinking eyes. You held your breath. You hoped more than anything this would work, and that all that time spent on this project wouldn't go to waste.
And then he moved. And he moved again.
It looked as if he wasn't used to being in such a body that belonged to him, stretching his limbs and finger joints over and over, testing them, examining them, just to ensure he was truly awake. You were the first and only figure his eyes could drift to. You both were alone, in the tiny, stuffed closet of a room stored deep in Parts and Services you had been working in for what seemed an eternity. His glassy red irises peered deeply into your own, in such a way you don't think you've ever experienced before. It was as if he was searching and reaching deep inside your soul and turning you over again and again, examining every part of you he could.
"Hey, big guy... I've heard a lot about you... How ya feeling?"
Your only solution to the thick tension in the air was to talk him out of whatever internal conflict he seemed to be having. His eyes flicked away from your own and traveled down your body, up and down, and back up again. He took in every detail of you.
It stayed silent for many seconds before his voice box croaked.
"Who're you?"
You forced a polite smile, "Well, Bonnie, I'm a new employee. You've never met me before. But I've been working on you for many months. You got broken. Pretty damn bad. They didn't you'd make it... But look at you now!" You tried to lighten the mood with a failed lilt in your voice. It was evident you were still extremely nervous.
Suddenly, his eyes began scanning you. In a literal sense and not like they had been before. You assumed he was adding you into his databanks.
"(Y/N)... That'sa beautiful name ya got there. Pleasure to meetcha." His hand reached out and grabbed your own, shaking it. It was cool to the touch and had a tenderness you didn't quite expect. The sanding on your part was done quite well, as you weren't expecting his fingers to glide so soft and smoothly against your own.
Was he programmed for charisma? You couldn't help but notice his slight southern twang. How adorable was that? Ah, maybe Fazbear Entertainment knew how to make fun, child-friendly robots afterall.
"So, you're the one who brought be back to all my glory, huh?" His eyebrow quirked.
You nodded, "Mostly. But the software department fixed all your internal issues. I've just been repairing your... uh, outsides..."
The rabbit seemed to smile at this.
"Whatsay I teach ya how to bowl sometime, yeah? I'd love to get to know the pretty darlin' who saved me after all this time. I tend to repay those who do good to me." He winked.
What the hell? Why is your face getting warm and why was his voice so damn smooth?

I'm so disappointed. I posted The Poseidon House in St. Cloud, MN a couple of years ago, then it appeared on HGTVs "Ugliest House in America." It didn't win, so the owners renovated it themselves and it's back on the market for $699,900.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NOOOO! They removed the iconic Poseidon statue. That was going too far. Fun fact: When his marriage broke up, the owners offered Aquaman Jason Momoa the house to stay in. He didn't take them up on it.
Tumblr media
Poseidon is a Greek God and the Eye of Horus is an Egyptian symbol of well-being, healing, and protection. I guess the original owner just liked them both.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They left the kitchen and it's in excellent condition. It's a nice house, I think it only needed a refresh.
Tumblr media
There's nothing wrong with the dining room. It just was repainted gray.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Basically, they just cleaned up the living room, but left it untouched.
Tumblr media
Looks like they left the blue lighting. Love how the floor glows white.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Goodbye, cool bedroom.
Tumblr media
I think that this may be the primary bedroom. It has the same type of stained glass window as the bath.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The largest bath stayed the same. The cabinets are very nice and the big stained glass window.
Tumblr media
The home office is fine.
Tumblr media
This bath appears to have remained. The cabinet is nice. It's not a bad room.
Tumblr media
And, bd. #3 doesn't need reno.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The family room looks beautiful, now, although I kinda liked it before, too.
Tumblr media
I actually liked the big pyramid.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The new bland home gym.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This bath underwent quite the transition.
Tumblr media
There's a deck, a pool, and a lake.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Plus, a lovely guest house.

Another restoration underway, chips mended and full restoration repaint. As well as gilded gold leaf detailing being added. Just finished the gold leaf on the cloak and belt. As well as repainting the hair. Have to wait 48 hours before I touch the torso of the statue again. So will begin working on the restoration of the stand and detail.

Has the Brooklyn Bridge ever undergone significant renovations?
The Brooklyn Bridge, an iconic symbol of New York City, stands as a testament to engineering brilliance and architectural marvel. Since its completion in 1883, the bridge has played a crucial role in connecting the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn, witnessing the evolution of the cityscape over the decades. In its long and storied history, the Brooklyn Bridge has indeed undergone significant renovations to ensure its structural integrity and adapt to the changing needs of a bustling metropolis.
Initial Construction:
Designed by renowned engineer John A. Roebling and completed by his son Washington Roebling, the Brooklyn Bridge was a groundbreaking feat of engineering in its time. However, even with its sturdy construction, the bridge needed to adapt to the increasing demands of a rapidly growing city.
Early Renovations:
In the early 20th century, several renovations were undertaken to enhance the bridge's stability and accommodate the ever-increasing vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The original wooden walkway was replaced with a more durable concrete surface, and the bridge's cables and support structures were reinforced to meet modern safety standards.
Mid-20th Century Upgrades:
As the mid-20th century dawned, the Brooklyn Bridge faced another wave of renovations. The emergence of automobiles as a dominant mode of transportation prompted the need for wider lanes and reinforced roadways. The bridge's signature Gothic towers underwent meticulous restoration to preserve their historic charm while ensuring they could withstand the test of time.
1980s Rehabilitation:
In the 1980s, the Brooklyn Bridge underwent a comprehensive rehabilitation project to address the effects of wear and tear from decades of heavy use and exposure to the elements. The project included the replacement of deteriorating stones, repainting of the bridge's steel components, and the installation of modern lighting to enhance visibility and safety.
Post-9/11 Precautions:
In the aftermath of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the Brooklyn Bridge, like many other landmarks, became a focus of heightened security measures. The city implemented additional safety features, including surveillance systems and increased police presence, to safeguard this critical piece of infrastructure.
Contemporary Maintenance:
Even in the 21st century, ongoing maintenance is crucial to preserving the Brooklyn Bridge for future generations. Regular inspections, repairs, and technological upgrades ensure that the bridge continues to serve as a vital transportation link while retaining its iconic status.
Conclusion:
The Brooklyn Bridge stands not only as a physical link between boroughs but also as a symbol of resilience and adaptability. Over the years, the bridge has undergone significant renovations to keep pace with the evolving needs of a dynamic city. From its initial construction in the 19th century to the comprehensive rehabilitation efforts of the 1980s and the ongoing maintenance in the present day, the Brooklyn Bridge remains a testament to the commitment of New Yorkers to preserve their heritage and ensure the safety of this architectural masterpiece.

Look. I know being trans can be the worst thing in the world sometimes. When I realized it I wanted nothing more than to simply not be trans. But don’t you realize how amazing this all is? You have existed since the beginning of time, and will exist forever. Being trans is magic, beyond human comprehension. You walk the tightrope of the gender binary and show how much of a construct it is. Do you know how incredible that is?? You live on a different plane of existence. You know yourself to a level that others could only DREAM of. You reinvent yourself!! With medicine!! How many other people can say they’ve remade themselves in their own image? Your voice can change, and so can your body. You can literally grow body parts and change the chemistry of your body!! You’re what science fiction could only dream of. You are the potential of science fiction and fantasy in all of its glory! You are a shapeshifter! You are the deepest wishes of humanity. You’re a fucking miracle. You can cross lines and binaries and destroy them entirely. You can have a fucking rollercoaster of gender, and watch as people stutter on what to make of you. You’re a mythical creature, a being in the woods, a time traveler who knows more than the rest. You’re a creature of unimaginable power. You are the oldest artifact in this earthly museum, constantly repainting yourself. You are bedazzled with centuries of revelation and joy and survival.
But the most amazing thing is that you are also human. You do all that while being human. You make people scared of what they don’t understand, do you know how powerful that is? You are an ancient building that makes people kneel in awe, a statue that you made of yourself. You have existed through all of time in space, in bars and in beds, on the streets and in living rooms, in stores and in jails, in love and tears and life. You are the very essence of humanity. They would not be trying so hard to destroy us if we weren’t so powerful. Don’t you forget it.
