Hello! I haven’t posted in forever, but I’m deleting most of my fanfics from ao3. I’m going to rewrite a lot of them because I think I’ve grown as a writer in the last few years, and I no longer like them. The ones that stay up are going to be rewritten too, chapter by chapter, and when it’s all done I’ll repost the links.

Razorblade Without a Handle
Bucky is just some high school dropout working too many jobs to pay for his shitty apartment and his sister's tuition, so when he meets Steve Rogers and Tony Stark and they take an interest in him, it makes no sense. He can't understand why they would want to spend time with him, let alone date him, but he's just greedy enough to cling onto what they're offering and hope that when it ends, it won't crush him.
Read it here on ao3!!

Reasons why I think season 2 was peak
Aisha's introduction to the group
she came to serve peak
Helia's introduction
he delivered beauty and romance
The pixies I actually like them
This episode of Riven supporting musa (epi 15)
you tell them Riven
Episodes 21 and 22 (I literally would love if the reboot would use more episodes like that
look at Riven serving looks
This Stella moment (go save Brandon u-u)
Friendship bonding! :D cute
Flora iconic daydream
dont worry girl your dream will come true
Iconic episode: Hallowinx!
Team Work at Cloud Tower, honestly the teamwork in general was peak in this season
This Stella and Aisha
THE VILLAINS! Darkar is SO underrated seriously I kinda wish on this fandom he was more discussed lol and obviously Dark Bloom forever iconic
THE ROMANCE, I really think season 2 had the best romantic moments ❤
The end ? Anyway s 2 is queen (because I can't even talk more, this season is just complete, good writing very nice villains great new characters that will stick for ever, team work delivered in more than just a few episodes... The action was good, the romance was sweet, and the fun episodes were great I think this season is where winx is at their best writing tho I understand why s 3 is the most loved ~ enchantix is the most iconic form)
#winx club#winx sky#winx riven#winx brandon#winx timmy#winx helia#flora#bloom#stella#aisha#tecna#musa#winx season 2#pixies#darkar#dark bloom#i wish i could write meta and stuff but hey my english is limited and i forgot a lot of things? because honestly s 2 is just impossible to#skip any episode for me super fun season with great action etc <3

i can't just emphasize how important stella is as a friend for both jentry and michael. she is the "earth" to jentry's "fire" and to michael's "water"—sharing both of their traits while also having distinct ones of her own that is able to balance out the both of them at once.
even her "powers" being the only one not revolving around supernatural abilities go along with her as the "earth" that they both need to be stable. she represents the "normalcy" that the both of are able to get & feel despite their connections to the supernatural. she's sympathetic enough to get to the both of them but also can act as the voice of reason and an organizer to keep them both grounded.
in a sense, her pushing michael to a future that many others defined for him contributes to her as a symbol for "normalcy" because of how that's reflective of the negativity that comes with social norms, and how in the context of michael's story that was what "normal" meant to him.
jentry & stella becoming friends while one of them has a crush on the other's former partner subvert social expectations about how you should go about and feel about those scenarios. jentry reaches out to stella for her to organize and process the thoughts she has, then for some moments they bond while jentry is able to forget about what being "normal" is like without powers for some time.
without her, the two of them (especially jentry) would have a harder time to define what being normal means to themselves due to the lack of having moments that don't involve the supernatural or constant self-doubt and mourning. she helps them break down social norms as an attempt to gain control over their lives through positive (jentry & stella) and negative (michael & stella) relations.
i'm sure the writers internalized stella's importance. although that plan for her importance was not fully delivered to the audience because stella definitely could use some more depth to her character and her importance is brushed aside at various points of the story, but the potential in the dynamic between jentry/stella/michael and what stella means for the both of them is soooo interesting to me. especially because the show definitely needed an "earth" character— someone who represents normalcy after michael as a symbol for jentry's story has a shift & someone who is able to keep them grounded after the supernatural becomes intertwined in the both of their stories
#oh my god ive been talking about this show like multiple times in a row. i bet everybodys tired of me now (im tired of me too)#after this i am definitely going to stop with the posts (i hope)#also if you cant tell i loveeeee stories that expand on “elements” when it comes to symbolism and stuff#sunny's thoughts#stella is just so likeable man!!! despite her partially being a “safe” character for the writers to write#jentry chau vs the underworld#jcvtu#stella jcvtu#jentry chau#michael ole

You know what? I realise why the Sinsmas episode is pissing me off so much, it's because it's juggling so many different ideas that it doesn't spend enough time committed to a single one. Let me just break it down the way I see it...
The first idea we're introduced to is one about Stolas' depression but then when he sits down with Blitz we're introduced to the idea of Stolas' poverty.
The previous ideas are what you think that the episode might focus on until you get hit with the Octavia B-Plot. Okay! A-Plot is about depression and poverty, B-Plot is about Stolas not being able to contact Octavia... (I might be using those terms incorrectly, but you get the idea,)
But THEN you get Sinsmas introduced which is about the idea of indulging in your sins, which is shown to be important to the audience because it's expressed in dialogue, right? Wait, no, it's about Stolas's depression/poverty, okay then....
But THEN you cut to the office and we get a Millie and Moxxie bonding scene, so you think, "wait, is there going to be another DIFFERENT plotline introduced into this episode about their relationship??" AND YOU GET MORE ABOUT SINSMAS, multiple shots about the holiday and the idea of indulging in your sins!! So wait, the idea of Sinsmas IS an individual idea from the depression/poverty point? Or isn't it??
Stolas sobs on the phone, there's a very obvious depression/poverty breakdown, but then we get MORE NEW SHIT introduced because it's about Stolas' cheating. And I understand that that's meant to tie into Octavia's B-plot, but there's a subtle difference between that and THIS that adds another layer of shit on top (elaborated on later).
Which, BTW, I just wanna point out how this idea is contradictory to the Sinsmas idea since CHEATING is about INDULGING in LUST - as is established in your PREVIOUS. IMPORTANT. SEASON ONE FINALE... So WHY would you make a character shame a sin that's meant to be in the process of being celebrated which confuses the Sinsmas idea and was also the CORE of the Stolitz will-they-won't-they before now?? If it was to trigger Stolas' breakdown you already HAD the poverty story beat, this is just needless and confusing redundancy??
So then we actually get to Octavia and we get a scene about the idea of Stolas and Octavia not being able to get in contact with each other - the B-Plot - and followed by her introspective song and the discovery of Stolas' pills. And now we suddenly feel like we're back to where we were MEANT to be, with the Octavia B-Plot taking a pause to cut back to the Depression A-Plot. This builds up tension as we naturally feel the two characters drawn together.
And theeeen it cuts to the I.M.Ps and I'm banging my head against the wall because you're like, "Oh! The Millie and Moxxie relationship idea! This is going to be about them!"
But then OH MY GOD a NEW idea is introduced about Blitz wanting a FAMILY WITH STOLAS. I want to shoot someone because the cheating was a set up for Blitz to fantasise about wanting a family??? Is this meant to be a parallel to episode 1??? Am I meant to feel like Blitz has developed as a character?? In an episode that has been about every character OTHER than Blitz???
And then it's meant to be likeee like about Millie's pregnancy because she wants to kill the family instead of leaving them be, but it's also about Moxxie's relationship with her, but it's ALSO about being "demon enough" (WHATEVER THAT IS, IT'S NEVER ELABORATED ON), but it's also ALSO about Sinsmas.
Okay! Okay, back to the REAL plot except- Wait, Octavia walked in??? Wait, so this plot is now about Blitz wanting a family and he's going to bond with Octavia?? No! NO because they don't have any emotional connection and so there is no reason for this scene to exist if either way Blitz was going to know where Stolas went and Octavia was going to end up there as well anyways.
And can you tell I'm tired of writing at this point? Cus I'm losing my mind. FINALLY the A-plot and B-plot that should have been the center of the episode all along gets a fuck ton of screentime and it's beautiful and it's the peak of the episode.
And theeen it's back to Millie and you think, "Okay, so a big part of the pregnancy plot is clearly meant to be about Millie and Moxxie's relationship based on all the scenes we've gotten between them! That means that Millie and Moxxie are going to have some sort of important dialogue-" And then she WALKS OUT on him and she has her emotional moment with her sister! Which isn't a bad thing but need I remind you she isn't even in the center a FULL LENGTH episode, she's from a SHORT... WHY would you NOT integrate Sallie into a proper episode if she's going to be key to a future INCREDIBLY important plotline??
The episode ends with Blitz and Stolas and the credits roll blah blah blah...
This post is basically expands on some of the points of my post about my first impressions, because I just wanted to give a run down of the structure properly so you can understand why this episode is making me feel like I'm losing it. And I get it, if you put in the effort you can get an idea of how all the ideas were meant to tie together... But it doesn't! It's badly written! It makes me want to rip my hair out!
Ideas are established and then sit there uncomfortably without resolutions to them! Like even the shit. That was meant to be the main shit. The poverty and depression stuff? NO conclusion. Stolas says, "you don't have to refer to me as your highness" I guess?? But like, nothing to show him settling in with everyone else in the celebration to show he's like. Poor? And okay with it? By partaking in the holiday of those that are meant to be "beneath" him? No mention of his medication???
Just!! Okay. To understand the way shit in the writing could have been better, let me list some ways you could change the episode to be more coherent or cut down on redundancy if my points have so far not landed.
Establish Sallie towards the BEGINNING of the episode and her dynamic with Millie, and show how that compares to her relationship with Moxxie, and show WHY she would call Sally instead of talking with Moxxie first. If you're going to make the episode about family btw, this would be the point where Millie could bring up HER family and how much she values them or something in order to establish that as being important. Also, use this to explore what Millie and Moxxie's feelings on having a baby WOULD be, so that if there's conflict there then you have more understanding of why Millie made the decision she did.
Use the actual environment in the background of the montage to show the passage of time instead of it suddenly being Sinsmas. Have demons setting up holiday decorations, in the stores put up discount signs about a "Sinsmas sale!" This makes the story flow more naturally, as well as adds characterisation and makes Stolas' depression more real as he's shown to be so absorbed in his own world he doesn't even realise it's the holiday until Blitz brings it up.
Octavia's phone and the device she listens to music on is the same (I checked S1E2 to confirm it), which causes a sloppy writing issue. Like. If the episode is meant to show Stella is controlling and it's not Octavia's choice not to get in contact with Stolas, then you need to explain why she hasn't called him despite having access to her phone when Stella isn't around. If it were me, I would have had Stella lock it in a drawer that Octavia picks the lock on so she can listen to her music. THEN you can keep the original scene, OR (this is what I would have done) have her check her phone logs so you can see not only how many times Stolas has called but how much time has passed. Maybe this could also be used as another reason to drive her towards the closet as she hides from Stella and Andrealphus. Maybe this could be used as an interesting metaphor about her desire to leave but she doesn't know what she's going to do once she picks the lock on the door... Like how she could call her Dad now that she has her phone but she doesn't know what she'll do when she does... Something like that.
DON'T have Blitz and Via meet up if they're not going to interact. That entire scene is fucking pointless as is and I hate it. Either dedicate a PROPER amount of time and dialogue into making Blitz want to and try to connect with Via, or have them not talk at all. Cut out the whole thing about Blitz wanting a family with Stolas honestly, it's just not well explored enough.
Again with the sloppy writing, the gang did NOT need to stumble into a room of weapons to have weapons. That's pointless. They're assassins, they've been established to bring a stash of weapons with them to fights before. I can think of something much funnier where Moxxie is surprised by Loona's transformation and there's a joke made about her being a noble steed and Moxxie pulls out a sword only for Millie to be like, "Why did you bring that?" And Moxxie says something about how it's a posh weapon cus that's his thing. OR you could have some badass impromptu weapons the gang makes from the ice or they use Sinsmas decorations scattered around. IDK.
Already made my point about Stolas and the poverty idea. Show him settling in with the others during the celebration and him opening up to the idea that he's no longer rich or well respected. The "you don't have to refer to me as your highness" would work if the text bothered to show his mental state properly, instead of him just looking depressed and like he kind of hates everyone there.
Have Blitz PLEASE react to Stolas' depression. Like. Acknowledge it. And share his feelings about it. AND GIVE STOLAS HIS MEDICATION FFS he clearly has clinical depression!! Blitz is sooo head empty in this episode, PLEASE give him more internal thoughts other than :) I'm holding my head in my hands.
And I'm so tired of writing at this point I'm going to stop it there but I hope that was thorough enough to get across my points. And if not then I guess that speaks to how loopy this episode made me that I can't even articulate myself 100% because dear god.
#📚 my posts#📌 thoughts#helluva boss critical#<- im tagging this post as critical of hb because it is.#but i realise how funny that is considering a lot of people in the tag hate stolitz and they hate stolas even though im pro both of those#i also do think stella should be written better but i dont fucking stand by u guys who think that means redeeming her#im a stella hater. but i think she deserves to not be a whiny incompetent woman. you know? make her a complex villain.#anyways BASICALLY i like the episode when its about octavia and stolas' depression n stuff but i hate everything else.#it just drags down the episode and i dont feel satisfied by the end of it.#im busy trying to guess what the point of the episode is even up to the halfway point. thats bad. REALLY bad.#and viv CAN write good episodes because look at ozzie's. that's brilliant and coherent and the drama is so good.#but this episode is like.. jfc girl did someone read your script? did someone doublecheck the storyboards??? who let this ep thru unfinishe

My initial impression when I watched Eclipse for the first time (and what I still believe) is that Stella knew full well that Ray didn't humilate himself on purpose in the bank when they were kids. I always read it as Stella knowing how embarrased and ashamed Ray would feel for having wet himself, and instead of trying to console him and tell him that it was okay, she let him be the hero instead. Because even though in Ray's memory he thought that he was being 'John Lennon, James Bond, Joe Namath, all rolled into one', I don't think Stella actually fell in love with an illusion at all. Like Fraser said, 'I am willing to gamble that Stella looked beyond that one incident and saw the whole person'. I think she always saw Ray for who he really was, but Ray's own insecurities about himself made him believe that she had to be with him based on a lie. I think the person who doesn't see Ray clearly is Ray himself. He has such a low sense of himself that he can't imagine her falling for anything but a con. He can't imagine that Stella simply fell in love with little Ray Kowalski, because who the hell is even is that? He's convinced himself that he's been playing the part of 'the hero' all these years that he doesn't really see that he has actually become one. The person who recieved all those citations that Fraser recounts wasn't a lie or a con, it was Ray Kowalski, a good policeman, someone who one would be proud to call a partner and a friend. In my opinion Ray's biggest con was conning himself into believing he isn't good enough just the way he is.
#due south#stella kowalski#ray kowalski#anyway this is why the depiction of stella in some fics of being historically embarrased by ray over the years has always rankled me#she wouldn't have stayed with him since she's 13 if he was a constant source of embarrassment#she truly loved ray for ray#she just sadly ended up outgrowing the relationship eventually#and i think ray tied so much of his identity to stella for so long which is why he struggled so much to let go of her#lol i just wanted to write a little thought about stella and it ran away from me a bit. this is why i don't do meta stuff. i tend to ramble#i just hope i made sense#ds30below#<- oops forgot to tag

I am absolutely in love with your accidental courtship au, its a delight.
I dont know what species you're planning for Dream, but I'm imagining he tells Techno after all the cards are on the table, hes had time to process and they're both aware and on board with a courtship so Techno can finally follow the correct customs.
That, or, au of an au, Techno accidentally follows Dreams culture and Dream is absolutely gobsmacked. Like its an obscure culture and something Very strange to do unless you know it, even for Techno.
Dream doesnt, like, really realize Techno is courting him, hes way too busy mad pin board solving How The Hell Techno a) found out what Dream is and b) found the customs, like hes an ender dragon or something who no outsider know jack shit about
Eventually it'll kick him in the head that oh god, Techno is flirting with me. Eventually.
okay, so, here's the thing: dream doesn't know what he is. like, he doesn't remember his very early childhood. he figures he had someone taking care of him at some point, but he doesn't remember anything about them. he was on his own a lot when he was younger, until he befriended sapnap who eventually dragged him to bad, and he'd been with them ever since.
so, he doesn't know what he is. bad's from a very old, practically dead culture; demons just... aren't around anymore. just like how phil comes from the elytrians which also aren't around anymore. sapnap is blazeborn, so bad tried very hard to be mindful and respectful of that and teach him blazeborn culture. but none of them know what dream is. so, dream isn't sure what culture he's from. he (and sapnap, honestly) identifies a lot with demon culture, and he lives according to a lot of their customs because bad had shared his culture with him. but he still doesn't feel that it is wholly his culture, y'know?
he has some customs that he still follows from when he was really little. he doesn't remember who taught it to him, but it feels right.
to be clear: techno did try demon courtship rituals. and blazeborn courting rituals. and human courting rituals. all of which dream does know about, but it just never clicked in his mind that that's what techno was doing. dream just figured techno was misinterpreting the cultures in his attempts to find new ways to expand their rivalry to include cultures dream connects to. a touching gesture, even if it's a bit off (you'll find this is a common thought they have about each other).
as for what dream is... I think he's probably from the end in some way. he's very very humanoid, but his night vision is beyond that of a normal human's, and he's faster and more agile than a normal human, too. he doesn't mention it often, but he also has more of an affinity to magic and enchanting.
bad doesn't know what he is, but bad's also from the nether, and, whatever dream is, it's something that even bad wouldn't know.
but phil. well, phil's elytrian. he's from the end. of course he'd know what dream is. he figures it out around doomsday. he then, of course, tells techno, and techno tries those courtship rituals. how unfortunate that courtship rituals are not one of the things dream remembers about that culture lmao.
(there are some things, though, that kinda trigger memories within dream, and, like you said, he's absolutely baffled at how techno knows these things. except dream doesn't know that these things are a courting ritual, he just recognizes pieces of it. and then he's too preoccupied figuring out how techno knows).
#oh also forgot to say this but I'm so happy you're enjoying it!! :D#I made it cause I figured a light hearted silly au would bring some peace to the dash#and also I need to write more rivals stuff#as for what dream is specifically idk yet it's just kinda ambiguous end creature in my mind#miscommunication is my least favorite trope except when it's funny then I love it lol#they're idiots your honor#c!rivals duo#rivalsblr#dreblr#accidental courtship au#stella answers#karokatten

Stella Is an Antagonist, NOT an obstacle
How do I put this?
Antagonists are characters that directly oppose the protagonists in some form, through their actions.
In Stella's case, she puts a hit out on Stolas because she wants to get back at him for humiliating her.
We also have a pretty good idea of who Stella IS as a character: She is a spoiled elitist aristocrat who has never been told 'no' who was stuck in an arranged marriage with a man who she didn't love but instead of trying to get out her unhappy marriage, she decided to take her anger out on him and only stayed with him for status reasons and because she liked having someone she could torment.
So when Stolas finally stands up to her, she takes it personally. She doesn't really seem to give a damn that she was cheated on, but that SHE was cheated by someone she assumed would always be submissive to her. Not only that, the person who her husband cheated on her with was an IMP. The lowest rank of demon there is, AND said Imp literally crashed a tea party she was having while trying to slip out after sleeping with her husband and, and telling her extremely casually, to her face, right in front her fellow aristocrats, quote; "Sorry, I f*cked your husband."
And just to rub salt in the wound, this was the morning RIGHT AFTER her "Not Divorced" (aka the anniversary) party she threw, just so she could gossip and vent to friends about how awful being married to Stolas is WHILE HE'S IN THE ROOM ONLY A FEW FEET AWAY.
So to summarize, Stella is a spoiled brat who is used to getting her way and no one standing up to her, so when someone does, she takes it personally and goes to extreme lengths just to get back at them, even if she gets nothing (other than satisfaction) from it in the long term.
Now Let's compare this to Rachel's character in the first Sonic movie;
( i couldn't find a gif of her in the first movie sorry)
While the sequel would give her a bit more depth, I'm going to be focusing on how her character was handled in the first movie, and calling her a 'character' in the first film Is saying a lot...
Okay so first off, we don't know ANYTHING about Rachel other than that she's Maddie's sister, she has a daughter, she lives San Francisco, and most importantly, she hates Tom. WHY does she hate Tom? idk, the movie never tells us! We are never given ANY context as to why she dislikes Tom, who (aside from being a cop) is a good guy! And she hated him long before he ended up becoming America's most wanted man for attempting to help Sonic.
For all intents and purposes, she hates him for no reason at all. And this is her defining trait in the first film, whenever she's on screen, she's usually telling Maddie to leave Tom, with no elaboration. Her hatred of Tom isn't even treated like a real problem, it's just a joke.
So when Tom shows up with an injured Sonic, she says she's gonna call the cops. And what happens to her? Tom and Maddie tie her to a chair in her own living room, take her car, just leave her there!
Rachel's presence in the first movie is to be nothing more than slight nuisance to the main characters without having a good reason to be there and no motivation for her actions, she's delegated to being nothing more than minor obstacle that the heroes have to deal with to reach their goals.
Rachel has no real agency in the movie she' just there to do two things; Hate Tom for comic relief and get in the way of Tom and Maddie helping Sonic. She's just there to be a nuisance to the main characters and nothing more. She is not an antagonist, she's an obstacle. An object with agency of her own and only there to serve at a minor road bump in the plot.
Say what you want about how Stella was handled, but you can't deny that she has an important role in the story, you can't remove her. On the other hand, Rachel could be removed from the story, and almost nothing would change.
The key to difference to me at least, between a full antagonist and an obstacle, is that an antagonist takes action to go against the protagonists ways that actively effect the plot, where as obstacle is someone the author throws into the the story just to slightly inconvenience the heroes who presence has real effect on the wider narrative, and may as well be something like a wall blocking the way that the characters have to climb over. And I don't mean like a giant wall I mean like a wall to a factory. It's a minor inconvenience that once gotten over has no real purpose in the grander narrative.

Husk watches the kid the same way he watches everyone. Decades of being able to scrutinize poker faces and tightened fingers around drinks, you can figure out almost anybody, including teens who aren’t as good at hiding themselves as they think that they are.
She’s trying. She’s absolutely trying. But the mask slips, the curtains close, her shoulders slouch as the strings she dances herself on go slack. Bloody and sweaty and sassy and scared, worry stuffed down so deep in her throat she’d have to dig for it and refuses.
He sees how he looks at the others too. Something almost wistful at Charlie, but that faded with time. She’s impressed by Angel, she enjoys playing around with Niffty, she admires Vaggie.
She likes Alastor. Far more than anyone ever, ever should.
He pours a drink and splashes in just a shot of loosened inhibition, old enough to want it but not old enough to handle it. Choose the angle. She’s stubborn as a jackass and reminds him too much of how Angel used to be, drowning in her own image. “You know it won’t work out, right, kid?”
She’s dismissive, dodges the question even as her eyes dart upwards for half a millisecond and he sees the singed feathers from their last little scheme like rope burn around her neck.
“You’re entertainment.”
“Darn right I am. I’ve got the looks AND the-“
“He’s got the people he likes and the people he likes to toy around with, and you’re way too young to fuck yourself over like I did.”
She sinks down in her seat, eyes narrowed. “I’m not gonna tell him. I’m not an idiot. I just want to… share the fun for a while.”
“Yeah, well, I’m proof of what happens when the fun runs out and he tightens the leash. Watch your hands, and don’t let him take you for a ride.” There’s a series of rattling gunshots outside, and she takes a drink. Eighteen with the eyes of someone twice her age treading riptide.

The first chapter of my stellatrix fanfic is out! "You two are my mothers, isn't it obvious?!" It's a project I've been working on for a long time!
It tells the story of Sanya, daughter of the main couple (stellatrix) who, after years of suffering, goes back in time to try to change not only her own future, but that of an entire kingdom. She ends up going very far in the timeline and now, in a time where her mothers barely know each other and at least interact, she will need to find her own way and make her idea (she didn't make a plan, the plan was that magic it worked, and it did, now it's improvised) to work, and change the fate of her entire family. It is a story that has many layers and it has three arcs, this first chapter is already the first arc, and from the second, we will enter the second arc, I will be taking a while to update but I will bring the best possible writing quality (I I use a translator to write in English) so I hope whoever reads it will appreciate it.
Note: drawing of Sanya as a teenager that a friend made:
