Another night where I'm struggling

My stepmom and I are butting heads more and more and...I mean I love my stepmom so much but she makes me feel like a mistake she accidentally signed up for all the time. I know it's not what she means but it still makes me so sad

My dad brought up the D word. I know they need to but they are both going to be so sad after that. Maybe they can fix it! I wish it could go back to when they fought less, or fought out loud. All of us are so defeated

My dad and I are both suicidal. Not a good combo. But if he is willing to stay around for me I have to do the same for him.

My mom got engaged. Her fiance is a fucking idiot for trying to marry her before she gets significant therapy. That are he is a really nice person. We can't even pay people to take care of my sister and he's signing up to basically PAY TO TAKE CARE OF HER.

It is so challenging when our children want to give up on their education. We don’t understand why. When we were their age it wasn’t even an option. Our parents would have raged holy war against us. We are. Ow in different times and have to play the game with the rules we have. So when we are challenged by our teens that want to throw in the towel on school. Try these 3 things. #1 ask yourself what you fear most about them quitting school and find a way to make peace with it because you can’t control it and you deserve a break. #2 ask them what their plans are. Speak to them as an adult ther is going to have responsibilities when they leave school. Children attend school. Children that quit school are asking to be adults very early. Speak to that point. #3 take them to a fast food joint and have lunch and let them fill out an application. Watch the people flipping burgers and cleaning tables. Then explain to them cost of living and that their cell phone bill will require them to work a half a day here sweating and flipping burgers. This is a reality check. Do this all with a happy face and know you are guiding and mentoring them to become functioning and responsible adults. You can love them or control them but you can’t do both. These days our children have so much working against them. Which make them feel small, unworthy and useless. Do you want to help your children build self-confidence and have a higher self-esteem? I knew you would so here are 3 tips to get you going. #1 if you need an app installed on your phone. Ask them to do it for you. They will feel empowered. #2 if you have a question about something broken around the house or any general question ask them for their advice and let them go ask google and give you the answer. They will feel that their advice is welcomed. #3 let them help with a challenge of your own. Be vulnerable and honest and tell them the problem you are having. They will feel relieved knowing that their perfect parent has an issue and we feel like a god knowing that you asked them for some input. Try any of these to help your child become an amazing adult that is full of confidence that they can use to make a difference in this world. Are you stalking your children? Did your parents do the same thing to you? What is the reason? Do you not trust them? What are you afraid of? They don’t understand your fear of the world and you whatever you say won’t make them understand it. How do you think they feel when you are constantly on their back? How did you feel when your parents did that to you? Untrusted, unworthy, not good enough? What about if you tried for a week to give them some space. Take a break from stalkerville. Let them experience life without you breathing down their neck. Let’s be honest...They are going to do whatever they want to do anyway but when we are constant watching them it makes them want to make that poor choice to piss us off. So for 7 days let them be and just love them for being your child. Be happy they are safe and healthy. Trust the guidance your provided them and let it play out.
