Someone sitting somewhere, doing something, an activity that isn't incredibly delicate or important but they're focusing on it nonetheless. The sudden need to sneeze hits them and they can feel that it's going to be intense. As a habitual stifler, they move their chair back a bit so they can have enough room for the full body motion that's inevitably going to come with successfully pinching their nose shut and stifling the sneeze into submission.

A dynamic I saw and I liked (so cute)

person A: allergic to everything, takes allergy meds daily, has rapid fire fits

person B: sneezes just as regularly as person A, in desperate stifled doubles or triples.

OK, so

person B: “I need to sneeze”… *pinches their nose and turns to the side, letting out two barely stifled intense sneezes*

person A: “ bless you, I seriously think that you have allergies and that’s why you’re sneezing all the time”

person B: “no way. I don’t have allergies!”

person A: “take it from an allergy sufferer, it really seems like you do.”

person B: *immediately changes topic*

Clear liquid trickled down to her lips. Her nostrils flared, revealing their interiors - heaving mounds of white snot on inflamed, red flesh.

She was breathing heavily through her nose. Her nose was not pleased about this.

"Hhhe....."

The flares built, and her eyes started to squint closed. Her mouth opened, but the damage was done: she was going to sneeze.

"Hhhaaaaee....."

Desperately, she gulped in air. Snot quivered like stalactites - and then it fell, blocking her nose.

"Hatsch!"

She pinched her nose shut, just in time. When she let go, her nose remained closed for what felt like a minute, then the nostrils slowly unstuck themselves. Another line of snot fell down her philtrum, this one less clear, almost creamy. And the build-up started again.

"Heeehh......hhhhaaaaahh...."

Once again, she pinched her nose shut, with not a second to spare. "hetchi!"

The deep feral desire to pull someone's hand away at the last moment so that they can't pinch their nose shut to stifle, forcing them to sneeze unrestrained and unexpectedly. Maybe they're too caught off guard to even turn away and they end up misting the both of you as a result

My husband is a man who collects things he can use. A pistol, a pocket-watch, a woman's love, a wife....

I'm obsessed with That Scene(tm) between Katya and Andrei in the California Director's Cut Rerelease of Goncharov, so I did a lighting study inspired by the film's Art Deco Posters! Little details like Katya never referring to her husband by his first name really add to Andrey and Katya's tense dynamic, which is one of the most underrated parts of the movie imo.
